King's Palace was run like a castle of old. There was a main set of doors that served as the primary entrance to the compound. A pair of guards were set at that portal and every main one after that. In most cases a visitor needed to state his or her business and then if believed by the Saiyan warriors on guard would be escorted to the appropriate section of the castle. More often than not those that came to the castle did so to speak with the King. There was no promise the Saiyan ruler might act on whatever request or plea you might bring, but in most cases he was at least willing to listen.
Akassa strode past one set of warriors and they paid her no heed. Although she never received a true royal treatment her face and position among the Saiyan elite was well known, allowing her almost free reign of the palace. This was not to say the guard's did not eye her as she passed or whisper comments between themselves. It matter not to Akassa for she cared for little beyond the opinions of her own family and in almost all cases knew the gaurds that snickered at her were nothing she could not handle.
Finally arriving at the throne room she was not surprised to find its heavy stone doors closed. It was custom to keep them closed so that should any visitor arrive the King could prepare himself before they were granted entry. The Saiyan on the right side of the door offers a nod before pulling the chain behind him. In silence the large doors swung open revealing the grand room beyond them. To any would-be attacker it may have seemed simple enough to gain entrance to the throne room, but the chain based lever could easily be rendered useless from the inside.
Confidentiality strolling past the door guards she enters. If any room was able to surpass the Hall of Kings in pure beauty it was this one. All along the walls hung ornate tapestries and golden ornaments. All of the gold was from Earth, purchased over the years to decorate the palace. With most of the tapestries predominantly red the gold fixtures accented them nicely, an elaborate representation of the family colors.
Towards the back center of the spacious room was your traditional dias, two thrones upon it. Front and foremost was the Kings throne itself. The large stone chair was chiseled from a single piece of dark grey granite, the large chair completely unadorned despite the extensive decour throughout the rest of the room. Back and to the right sat a second, smaller throne which was meant for the queen. This smaller seat was cut similar to the King's, the only real difference being the thin strands of silver inlaid upon its arms, giving it a slightly more effeminate look.
As Akassa entered the room both of the chairs were occupied. Her Father and step mother watched her make her way across the room, her booted footsteps echoing faintly in the otherwise silent room. The half-saiyan saw their eyes scan her over, both stopping in the red strands of hair hanging down by her face.
Arriving at the foot of the dias she drops to one knee in front of her father. "I have come as you requested Father." Her voice was full of respect and reverence, the young Saiyan hybrid holding her father in quite high esteem. Such was not the case with her step mother.
Akassa was the half blooded daughter if the King, her mother having been a human the man chose to spend the night with over twenty years ago. Soon after her birth the woman had been banished from the Moon and forbidden to return. Although taken into the family by the King she was not a true member and her step mother above all else made sure she did not forget it. The Queen's constant statements about her heritage at times got to Akassa for wasn't the Queen royal blood only through her association with the King?
Even so Akassa knew her place. On one knee with her head down and right fist pressed to her chest she waited to be addressed. Internally she wonder what they might say about the red in her hair, but she didn't plan to change it. She would hide a small smirk though, not having missed the fact she had beaten her brother here. In her opinion she was the more disciplined of the two, the would-be king much more concerned with his own wants than others.

The would-be-king was much more concerned with his wants then the wants of others. He was late to the summons because he had been sparring with Kabocha and Shiitake while Endue looked on, impressed as usual when the prince had beaten them both. Afterwards he and Endue had shared a few earthling drinks and one thing led to another…
Ninjin strolled past the guards with an air of confidence often seen on the Saiyan prince. The guards snapped salutes in reverence and respect as he passed by, doing their best to open the doors as quickly as possible so as to not slow his pace. Ninjin turned and without breaking pace bid his lackeys to stay where they were. The matters between himself and his father were royal and as such unfit for their ears.
This. This was Ninjin’s favorite room of the entire palace. There was so much beauty to it, so much elegance. Someday he would sit in the dark granite throne and look down upon all from his lofty heights as king. Though he was unsure about keeping it the same, it was too plain, too boring… maybe something with swords…
This room would be his once his father kicked the bucket, though when that would be he couldn’t say, his father was an incredibly strong man and had only just become middle aged. But though many would argue the point Ninjin was patient, at least in regards to his father dying. For in truth he loved the man, and wanted only to make him proud. His mother as well, she beaming as he strode into the room.
And then there was Akassa. She had gotten to the throne room before him, no doubt a matter of pride to the girl. Ninjin was never late however, he arrived exactly when he meant to, and everyone else would just have to deal with it.
“Prompt as ever dear sister, why am I not surprised?” He stated with a somewhat mocking tone upon noticing his sister genuflecting before the king. He offered his own brief bow, though his from the waist, in reverence to his father.
“Father how may I be of—” His thoughts were cut short when his eyes fell upon the coloring of his sisters hair. Red. Red the color of his armor. Red the color of the many tapestries and decorations that festooned the hall. Red the color of the royal family. It cause Ninjin to see red momentarily, no doubt his father and his mother were staring at it as well. What insubordination. She was not… she could not… she had.
Ninjin bit his lip to restrain himself from lashing out at the girl. In truth there was a time when he had felt something akin to love for his sibling. But as he grew older he began to understand what a stain she was on the royal family. His father’s misdeed had resulted in a black sheep, a half-blood. A cur. His face flashed into one of insincere praise.
“Dear sister have you done something new? Is that a new outfit? No that’s not it… Father can you guess what’s new about Akassa? There’s something there I just can’t put my finger on it.” He put his finger to his lips as he walked around her, mock inspecting.
“That must be it; you’ve done something with your hair! Oh how pretty! Isn’t it pretty father, the family colors and everything?” His words were dripping with sarcasm. The guards at the rear of the room by the doors began to feel uncomfortable and shuffle around. Ninjin turned back to the king and gave another bow.
“You’ve summoned me father? Was it only to notice my sisters hair or was there something more?”

Akassa and Ninjin. The two oldest of the offspring from the royal family and yet they could not get along. Tsuyo let out a sigh as his lovely wife leaned in to whisper in his ear. He always did love when she did that. Often times her words were soft and sweet in order to calm the Lunar ruler but not this time. This time her words were venomous.
“YOUR half breed mutt of a daughter now dares to desecrate the respectability of the Hattori family colors with that…that…” Natisha stammered as Tsuyo felt the rage in his ear. Tsuyo however waved his wife away refusing to let her finish her secret statement to the King. She leaned back into her splendidly magnificent chair and awaited the results.
“Ninjin, yes I notice. Now act like a King and move past it. Acting in such a way as a spoiled child is beneath that of the Crown Prince. I will deal with it.” Tsuyo commanded in a fierce tone. Often times his son was met with nothing more than kindness and praise but this time his attitude was nothing more than annoying. His gaze shifted back to Akassa. She was still his child whether Natisha liked it or not but in this act of defiance Tsuyo had to restrain his temper.
“Akassa…why have you destroyed the luscious Saiyan locks that you were born with?” Tsuyo asked sternly. While he wanted an answer he was not going to wait for one. “You were expressly forbidden to wear any of the Hattori family colors. Or have I gone senile in my young age?” Tsuyo could feel Natisha’s smile growing as she watched the King berate his Half Saiyan daughter. “By defying my orders you bring shame onto this household. Especially in a manner such as this!” His voice continuing to rise with each passing word causing his voice to echo throughout the massive hall. Tsuyo took a deep breath after the comment and then returned to his stoic demeanor. “I want an update from both of you on the jobs that I handed out to you. If either one of you is to prove the Hattori bloodline still runs strong within your veins then those tasks should have been easy.”
Now it was time to see how his two offspring had done in face of the challenges their father had passed down onto them.

Today was a day unlike any other for Celeh. All her hard work seemingly finally paid off. Years of disrespect, blood, sweat, and tears were finally starting to yield some benefit. The Queen had chosen her for a special task of sorts. She hadn't been told exactly what the task was, only that she was summoned to the throne room on this day at this time. Naturally she was eager to earn some favor with the crown just as any other Saiyan without royal blood in their veins would seek to do. She hadn't said anything to her parents or her brother, Leeks, about the summons because her parents were upset with her about not being at her oldest brother's funeral ceremony and Leeks was off on a mission. The supposed low class warrior was wearing her Saiyan armor. She didn't know if the Queen's task would involve combat of any kind, but it was better to appear in formal attire and be ready for anything. For Saiyans, your battle armor was your formal attire.
The guards outside the throne room didn't detain her because they knew of her summons, but they also didn't even give her a single glance. Apparently they were too good for her despite being post monkeys all day. And though that would be considered vulgar as far as a Saiyan was concerned, it annoyed her that they acted so uppity when they just stood around outside the throne room all day. But she wouldn't let that nonsense bring her down. Today was a grand day for her. She'd finally gotten a chance to prove her worth to the crown.
Unlike her usual wrist wraps Celeh had chosen to wear the fingerless gloves that her eldest brother gave her before he was killed in battle. The red trim around the upper forearm on the long, white gloves matched the red tips on her white Saiyan boots. Her black bodysuit gave a nice contrast to those, and the cool blue of her chest plate and pants armor went smoothly with the black to give a nice transition between her blue armor to the white and red of the gloves and boots. She liked her outfit overall, even if it wasn't the best looking armor around. She kept it in good condition and it was hers.
She strode into the throne room, seeing the other two already present and bowing to his majesty. She wasn't of royal blood so she took her place behind them and knelt down, bringing one hand up and clenching a fist over her heart as she bowed her head, "Your Majesties." She said nothing else, not wanting to speak when she wasn't spoken to. The Queen knew what Celeh was here for, and if the guards had let her through then the King would know that Celeh wasn't intruding. She hadn't noticed that the King's daughter had changed the color of part of her hair to red. Then again, she wouldn't have noticed the change anyway. This was the first time she'd even seen any of the royals in person.

Down on one knee still Akassa was not surprised by her brother’s opening comment. He was always short with her in such a way, as if she had done something to aggravate him every time he saw her. Not having been addressed by her Father yet the warrior remains as she is, listening to her brother’s deep voice as he begins to speak. When his words suddenly cut off she glances up at him, confused as to why he would stop mid sentence like that.
The look on his face told her all she needed to know. Her younger brother looked as if he wanted to backhand her, and Akassa knew exactly what had angered him. His eyes were locked onto the red stands of hair hanging down in front of her face. Seeming to reign in his emotions she watches as he begins to walk around her, looking her over as a rather sarcastic rant rolled from his lips. They had been close once it was true, but they were more like rivals now so the female had to suppress a smirk at how much the colored hair got to him.
Too busy listening to Ninjin the hybrid does not hear the poisonous words her step mother whispers to the King, does not hear her referring to her as a mutt. However, she did hear the King as his voice rose above Ninjin’s to silence him so that the king himself could speak. Even though her Father was silencing her rambling brother she knew she would not escape without a reprimanding, at the least.
It was not the reaction she had expected from him, the words of the Queen no doubt influencing him some…why did he value her opinion so much? When he was done scolding her, and accusing her of disobeying she finally raises to her feet. Her brown eyes look up to meet those of her father’s, her expression still calm and neutral. Ninjin had tried to humiliate her and the King had scolded her for the red streaks in hair, but she planned to defend herself.
Before she could speak though the doors to the throne room opened again, a female Saiyan making her way in and dropping into the same stance Akassa had been in seconds before. Taking a knee and saluting with your fist to your chest was the standard respect to be paid to the King, Ninjin the only one able to get away with not doing it. Although she had never seen this female before the girl knew her place, paying the proper respects to the family as a whole and staying silent afterwards. Her armor was slightly different than most, especially the fingerless gloves she wore, but well within the allowed customization of the military...minus the red of course.
Looking back to her Father once more Akassa makes her case.
“I know I am not allowed to wear the house colors Father, and I always obey that command. Even when engaged in combat I would rather go without armor than disrespect our name.” Akassa pauses for a second then looks to Ninjin and the Queen before continuing. ”This red in my hair is purely out of respect, and as instructed I am not wearing the royal colors.”
It was honestly how she felt, even if she was taking advantage of a loophole in the orders. Not wanting to dwell on the subject though she was quick to transition to the second topic the King had brought up, their tasks.
”The inspection of the main barracks is complete my King. All personnel that should be present are accounted for. Training is on schedule for the newest class of warriors and exercises continue on a regular basis for senior military soldiers. Inception ceremony for the next class is also on schedule to take place in three months for those that complete the training.
As for the issue with Batkin Jurino, he has been dealt with. I confirmed with others that the soldier had been misrepresenting the military on missions to Earth to deepen his own pockets. It did not take long for me to find him and apprehend him. I have since handed him over to the military prison and he will be tried for his acts against New Vegeta.
Finished with her report, trying to be short and concise she offers a small bow to her Father, but stays upright after this time. Once back up she lets her arms fall to her sides as she takes a casual stance, letting her tail swish behind her some. Unlike most Saiyan warriors Akassa did not wrap her tail around her waist. She had spent many hours training the weakness out of it and took it as a point of pride to let it sway freely. Offering a small smile she allows Ninjin to have the stage, the proud Prince no doubt going to play his task up as the most important no matter what it had been.

The Saiyan prince was taken aback by his father’s attitude. He rarely spoke to Ninjin the way he just had, favoring the prince far above any others. He was his first born son after all, the first in line to the throne. Ninjin looked baffled for a moment before speaking.
“Father you’re not acting like yourself… you’ve never had an issue with my taunting before, why the sudden change of heart? You’ve always said that it would make her stronger.” He said it all the while glaring at the red in Akassa’s hair. “I’ll let the matter drop though” he said throwing his hands in the air.
He listened on as his father berated his sister, no doubt with his mother’s influence behind it. His father understood the value of a good fighter and as such knew the value of Akassa even if she was a black stain on the family. His mother however only viewed her as an affront to the royal lineage. His father berated her on using the royal colors in such a way when she was expressly told not to.
It looked as if Akassa was about to make a rebuttal when an unfamiliar female Saiyan walked in and genuflected before the royal family. Ninjin was disgusted with what he saw. It was not the looks of the female that disgusted him, nor was it or manner or attitude, all of these things were fine. It was the color of her boots. Of her gloves. The red on the gloves caused him a moment of pure shock, he looked back in horror at his father.
“I suppose I should keep quiet about this as well then? The help! Even the help is wearing our colors!?! Do you see what she’s started?!” He was so flabbergasted he bit his lip and turned away, doing his best not to unleash his anger upon Akassa and the new female. No doubt his father would address this, and it was beneath him as would be king to lower himself. That was what father had said right?
After his sister had given her report Ninjin stepped forward a smirk on his face as if he’d forgotten everything but his deeds and accomplishments, which for the moment wasn’t too far from the truth.
“Truffle should be back any moment with the report from Earth, as for my own personal duties the emergency plans have been updated in the event of an attack and all generals are away of their duties for the coming month. The Saiyan armor has been updated to a heavier duty but lighter model. All is as you have requested it Father, I would never let you down.” Ninjin bowed even deeper this time, though whether out of reverence to his father or pride in his own accomplishments drove him who could say. When he regained his composure he turned to face the female warrior that had entered the room at so private a moment.
“Who are you and what are you doing here? Moreover why are you wearing the royal colors? Father, mother, did you know about this?” For the moment his sister was off the hook, even though she was beneath them, she was still part of the royal family and as such better than the average Saiyan by a thousand fold. The woman who had just entered the room had better have some royal blood in her, or else Ninjin would be very upset.

Ninjin certainly had his father’s strong will but also his mother’s short temper. A deadly combination that only seemed to amuse Tsuyo. Ninjin was his pride and joy but every once and a while he did step out of line. It was rare but it did happen and it was easily rectified with a quick snap of frustration by his father. Akassa on the other hand seemed lately to cause him more headaches than not. The latest example of this being her dyed red hair that sent Natisha and Ninjin into a fit. If there was thing that both his children carried from him it was that of his strong will.
The doors opened slowly allowing an armored Saiyan female to enter. She walked forward several paces before taking a knee to await attention. By very appearance she appeared to be a well trained soldier that knew how to obey orders. Including the wearing of the family’s colors just as the messenger had asked to do so. He would address her in a minute however.
“Good. Both of you have completed the tasks I set forth for you as expected very well done.” Tsuyo spoke choosing to ignore his daughter’s retort to his comment much to the chagrin of his wife Natisha. “These are to be your duties from now on and as such I will hold you responsible for any offense that may occur under your watch. Do not make a mockery of the Hattori name.” Tsuyo said sternly. He turned to his wife and leaned in close to her.
“Yes my darling husband?” Natisha whispered in the strong Saiyan’s ear.
“Is this the soldier that you had summoned in order to keep an eye on Akassa?” Tsuyo responded back in a volume neither of his children would be able to hear. Natisha simply nodded. Tsuyo turned back to the two children of his and the soldier that knelt in the back. “Ninjin, she wears the family colors for the simple fact that Natisha had asked her to.” Tsuyo spoke in order to calm his son down. He did not need him going around killing anyone who happened to be wearing red.
Tsuyo rose to his feet. “Please rise to your feet Celeh. You presence has been requested here and now. I prefer to speak to those on their feet.” He began walking towards the group. “Ninjin, Akassa, I wish for you to meet Celeh. She was chosen by Natisha in order to be the ‘bodyguard’ of Akassa.” Tsuyo stated as he stopped several feet away from the group. “Natisha felt that Akassa needed special protection for fear of the enemies that wished to see the Hattori family. Something I felt was correct.” Tsuyo was assigning Celeh to be Akassa’s bodyguard whether any of the three liked it or not.

Celeh stood when the King ordered her to, but she was assaulted with angry glares and harsh words from the Prince. She was not aware of the law that only the royals could wear red, but had she known she would have apologized immediately. She seemed unshaken by the Prince's verbal attacks and potential threats, though. It wasn't very good manners to cower like a child when your next job was to be handed down directly from royalty to you, yourself. She stared intently at the Prince as he berated her, ensuring that he knew he had her attention, but she said nothing. Thankfully after a few moments the King spoke up again and informed them all of what Celeh already knew. She'd been requested to wear these colors. Mind you, she'd been wearing them anyway for a few years now. As a trend had popped up for a brief time about five years ago among low class soldiers that they wore red tips on their boots as a way to raise morale, faith in the crown, and to remind them that their every step was lead by the royal house. She got her newest and current suit of armor around that time. She would formally apologize and explain things to the Prince later. For now she listened to King Tsuyo.
When word of her new task hit Celeh's ears she was baffled, but maintained her calm gaze at the King as he continued to speak. She could feel the Akassa's power. By all means it was stronger than her own. This made Celeh question why she would be chosen as a bodyguard rather than an aid of sorts. Still, she tried not to think too much on it as that was doubt against the decisions of the crown, which could be considered treasonous. Instead she gave a direct and curt reply, "It will be done, your highness." She fell silent again and stood still, waiting for the King to dismiss them or give them further instructions. A nagging in the back of her mind told her something about this whole situation was going to turn sour for her and stay that way for a very long time, but it was too late to back out. When you were hand picked by royalty, you didn't have a choice.
She imagined future talks with the Prince and Princess would not go very well. That argument that was taking place when she first entered gave her the impression that the Princess was a rebel, and she had gotten on the Prince's bad side merely by showing up in the attire she was ordered to wear. It was turning out to be a lovely string of circumstances for this particular soldier.

Akassa almost let out a snort as Ninjin spoke to their father as if he were not the king, almost questioning his actions towards the two of them. Once again it was something that only the Prince was able to get away with and something that Akassa would not dare. Of course she had explained herself in regards to the coloring in her hair, but if he had come back at her with a demand to cut it off she would have done so. However, Akassa was no fool and although her father had berated her for the red he seemed to let it drop after that, just as she assumed he would.
Also as expected Ninjin spoke as if his task had been saving the Palace itself. Like her the Saiyan Prince had completed his tasks, but one he had not even done himself, instead sending out his little pet to complete it. Akassa harbored no ill will towards the fluffy creature name Truffle, but was displeased with her brother for not completing his tasks himself. Unlike herself he had those that followed him, looked up to him even or sucked up to him depending on your perspective while she was often alone in her duties unless soldiers were assigned to her.
In silence she listens to Ninjin finish his report and watches as he bows to the King. Now Akassa knew that Ninjin had as much respect for their father as she, the two despite their differences being loyal to the family first and foremost, but again she had to hold back a snort of disapproval. Her brother might as well have been bowing to a mirror instead of the King, the hybrid Saiyan surprised the weight of his own over stacked pride was not enough to knock him to the floor.
No sooner had he finished praising himself before turning his attention to the female warrior that had entered the throne room last. The girl had obviously been called to the palace or she would not have been allowed in, especially with the majority of the royal family assembled already. With her back still to the woman Akassa watches as her step mother again shares quiet words with the King, wondering what the Queen might be up to.
With a glance before she had noticed the small amount of red on the females attire, and was sure there had to be a reason for it. Even so the last thing she expected was for her father to announce that Natisha had requested it. Offering a quick glance to her wretched Step mother it was no doubt a slight directed at Akassa herself, the half-saiyan having no idea of the history also involved with the warrior’s armor. Still it was not completely surprising that she would do such a thing, the Queen had done similar things throughout her life.
Over the years Natisha had indeed worked to put down Akassa when she could, but nothing compared to what her Father said next. Celeh was to be her bodyguard. The sentence caused her jaw to clench, the elite Saiyan warrior almost speaking out of turn in response to the revelation, but she manages to hold her tongue. It was nothing to do with the warrior herself, Celeh was no doubt a skilled fighter, but the fact that she was being assigned a bodyguard was almost more than she could take.
Turning her gaze on Celeh the female offered the only response she could, the correct response as she agreed to her new orders. She knew the girl had no say in the matter, most likely uncomfortable with the assignment herself. Later when the two of them were on their own she planned to question the girl, but would not blame her for this.
On the outside Akassa had relaxed and looked as calm as ever, but on the inside she was screaming. A bodyguard?! A subordinate, a team member, or even a partner was something that would not have offended her, but a bodyguard?! The Queen might as well have given her guard duty if she wanted to insult her, but no this was a direct shot at her pride as a warrior. If Natisha had wanted to insult the proud half-saiyan, she had succeeded.

Though he had showered after his rigorous training regimen, Leke was still angered by his brother and sisters’ calls to the throne. Why was he not allowed to do anything important? He was just a grunt, a tool, to be used by his father and brother at will. Why? He was of Royal blood, too! He needed to prove himself, but how could he do that? A flash of arrogance and bravery came to him. He would simply show up anyways. What was the worst that could happen, right? He was his father’s son, a full-blooded one, and he and Ninjin got along more than he and Akassa did. If they were not at each other’s throats at the moment, Ninjin would not have his head on a platter for barging in.
Fully-suited and pride flowing, Leke stepped towards the throne room doors. The guards, noticing his royal colors and then who in fact this was, scrambled to open them. They didn’t need a reason to let in one of the King’s sons. They opened before the young Royal Saiyan, who stepped into the room boldly. Before making any statements, he observed the atmosphere in a few moments. All were stood, Ninjin was angered, and Akassa had changed her hair. Tension was high in here, that at least he could tell without hearing a single word that was said. Maybe this wasn’t such a good idea, but he was here now. Swallowing his last regrets and making a silent wish to whatever gods there were, Leke took a few more steps into the room and knelt down on one knee, bowing to his father.
”Father! I know I was not invited but I cannot stay here in captivity any longer!” He stayed bowed until he was addressed, at which point he would stand. ”I have trained for thousands of hours. When will I receive a duty? I am more than ready, father, to do whatever is asked of me, I just wish for a chance to prove myself to you.” A glaring determination was in his eyes. His Saiyan pride and his own wants would not be stomped on any longer. He wanted – no, he needed his father to recognize him, to give him a duty, any duty, that would make him feel important and of use to him besides being another soldier. He was stronger, faster, and smarter than almost all his age and even a few years older. What possible reasons could his father have for keeping him here all this time?
”If I am not to serve you and my brother usefully, instead as a soldier, then why do I wear these colours? These mean I am the best suited at my position, of course yielding to Elder Brother and yourself, to do whatever there is to be done.” He needed an answer and he would get one now, good or bad.

Ninjin Hattori, Saiyan Prince, the greatest Saiyan warrior in the army, stifled a snorting laugh in the grand Saiyan throne room, putting the mid-knuckle of his index finger in his mouth and biting down to keep the outburst within. His half-sister… Akassa Hattori…One of the greatest fighters in the Saiyan army…More powerful than he himself…Was issued a bodyguard. It was one of the greatest moments of the young Saiyans life.
The warrior woman who had entered had looked him in the eyes all the while Ninjin had been berating her. It impressed him, not many could meet the gaze of the crown prince of the Saiyans. He had found out she had been ordered to wear the colors and now he knew why, with a shrug he let the issue drop, it was “not his place” to worry about such matters, and he wasn’t going to argue with his father’s orders. All he knew was that when he was king no one but the family would wear red and gold.
Celeh, as his father had addressed her, had done the only thing she could have in the awkward situation, and had accepted the position without arguing with the king. Ninjin looked over at Akassa, waiting for her to break. No doubt this would be a blow to her ego like she hadn’t experienced before. Being told you needed a bodyguard was being told you were weak and couldn’t defend yourself. No doubt his sister saw it that way.
Ninjin was about to comment on the hilarity of the situation when his younger brother and favorite sibling stormed into the room in a huff. The crown prince noticed a determination in the young man’s eyes. It amused him greatly. He spat with anger at his father at not being invited to the royal meeting they were at. He made a good point the prince realized.
“Father, Leke makes a very good point. I too believe he is ready for something more than just training all day. He is a capable warrior and moreover a full blooded member of the royal family.” The last bit was said pointedly at Akassa. “I will take him under my command father, if that is your wish. I’m sure I can find some tasks for him.” He stepped over to his brother and ruffled his hair lovingly. If there was any sibling in the royal family Ninjin could actually tolerate, it was Leke. He was strong. He was loyal. He knew his place. And moreover, he was full blooded Saiyan, and of royal blood.

Strong ran in the family it seemed. Leke, Tsuyo’s second son, burst into the throne room like a bat out of hell for feeling like he got spited by not being invited to the meeting that his mother was particularly responsible for. After hearing his younger son pipe off angrily at his noticeable snub Tsuyo could not help but let out a loud bellow that echoed throughout the room. Akassa and Ninjin had heard it countless times before but to Celeh it would sound as if Tsuyo was actually three men.
“But Leke sweetie, you are still too young to perform the various duties,” Natisha said from across the throne room as she had yet to rise to her feet. It had always been her dreams since she was little to sit on the throne and even now that she has achieved that goal she lavishes in every moment she sits upon it.
“Natisha I think the boy may be ready to take up a duty,” Tsuyo laughed as he looked back at his beautiful wife. He turned and then walked over to Leke. The massive Saiyan king towered over his son and with a heavy hand ruffled up his hair. “You want a duty my son? Very well, train. Not just to get stronger. No this time it is for a greater purpose than that.” He looked at all four of the strong warriors that stood before him.
“As you four may or may not know there will be a tournament held on the beginning of the new millennium for our galaxy. This tournament is being hosted by Prometheus Zex, a man that I know almost nothing about. Your task my young son, in fact all of you, is to go out there and train harder then you have before. Because we are going to bring in the new millennium with a Saiyan being declared the strongest warrior in the galaxy!” Tsuyo roared in excitement. He knew that his children, even Akassa was capable of such a feat but only if they truly focused and trained. He looked down at his son, “Is that big enough of a task for you?”

Celeh was quite relieve that this new arrival showed up, especially making such a commotion. It would take the attention off of herself for a few moments and perhaps give her time to think. She was still working through her initial orders in her head. Was a position as a body guard really what this was about? The Princess seemed more than capable of fighting and taking care of herself. She was a third stronger than Celeh at least, and that wasn't to say how much she was holding back. Just as she was about to shake the bothersome thoughts from her head she was given a second duty, and one that she truly hadn't expected. Fighting in the galactic tournament in the name of the entire Saiyan race? Her eyes widened at that, unable to contain her shock and excitement. She bit her tongue to not make a fool of herself by speaking overzealously and out of turn.
Celeh instead just nodded and bowed to the king, giving a salute to him to acknowledge that she understood his orders and accepted them. It wasn't that she wanted to be so humble. It was that she was afraid if she didn't hold her tongue she'd ruin this chance altogether and possible get herself publicly executed for saying something stupid or possibly disrespectful. After all, upon hearing those words the people she was assigned to this mission with immediately became some of the people she wanted to fight the most. They were all as strong as she was or stronger, and that alone was to bring the natural thirst for challenge of her Saiyan pride to the forefront of her mind.
The low class soldier shot a look around the room at her allies, but also her fellow competitors in the tournament. She wanted to succeed in the tournament and win, but at the same time she wanted to fight everyone in this room that would be in the tournament. She didn't care that they were royals. They were all strong and she knew they would all be some of the greatest fights she'd ever had. If they thought their status would make her stand down and give them a free win, they were very wrong.

As Akassa stewed about the sudden appointing of her bodyguard Leke burst into the throne room, seemingly full of energy and feeling underappreciated. The headstrong boy still had the respect and discipline to bow and wait to be addressed before continuing on. Like his older siblings before him Leke strove to serve the Hattori family in any way he knew how, even at the young age of thirteen requesting to be sent out on military missions in order to prove his worth to the family.
Akassa understood that better than any. When she had first come of age to go out on missions she had at first been snubbed, given easier, less important tasks simple because it was believe she was not capable of more. However, in short order she had proven herself a more than capable warrior at times even surpassing the prince in power. In this respect she was closer to Leke now than she was Ninjin, the two of them having always been in their eldest brother’s shadow.
He had requested a task; something to prove himself and show that his training had not been for nothing. Before her father could speak though Ninjin did, agreeing with Leke that the young Saiyan should be given a task. At first Akassa was a little surprised that he would so easily take his brothers side, even sharing glory with his favorite sibling came hard to Ninjin. Almost believing he had done it for the benefit of Leke she snorts some when he requests the young warrior be under his command. Of course Ninjin felt he should be entrusted with a task, one that Ninjin himself did not want to do.
Opening her mouth to speak out against such a thing she gets no words out as the King starts to speak, the female shutting her mouth as to not interrupt him. His words could not have delighted her more. The new that her next major task was to represent the Hattori family in a Galactic Tournament washed away the anger she had felt about being assigned a bodyguard, although she would not forgot that slight. Looking around the room it was easy to tell the others felt the same way, even Celeh was directed to go and although she showed no signs of it the girl must have been excited, what Saiyan wouldn’t be?
Grinning now she bows to the King and Queen again, putting her fist to her chest as she does. ”It would be my honor to win the Tournament in the name of the Hattori family and the Saiyan race my King. Perhaps then might I be allowed to wear the family colors father?” It was a bold request she knew, and one most likely to get her in trouble yet again. The request was not meant to be disrespectful and looking up at him she was completely serious, not thinking there was a better time to make such a request. For if winning a Galactic Tournament in the name of her people was not enough to earn her the right to wear those colors than she doubted anything would.

Leke stared down at the ground when his mother made a... Well, motherly remark. He was thirteen now, having been training for almost a decade and his mother would not let him do anything for his father yet. If she was the reason that he could not-
His eyes looked up as soon as he heard his father approach him. A big, sturdy hand clasped him on the shoulder, paining him a little. He laughed and said that he would give him something to do. Whew. At least Leke knew he could finally stop training... Until he heard what the King had to say. What? MORE training? He was going to go crazy sitting in the palace beating up punching bags, guards, and other fools. However, learning more and more about why he would be training gave him pause. The Saiyan Prince would train if it was to prove that his family was the strongest in the galaxy. He knew he could not possibly beat his siblings, but he thought that maybe they could win the tournament. He would give it his all in training and in the tournament to appease his father.
Leke nodded and said to his father, "Yes father, I accept your charge. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to prove myself. I will do you proud." His talk was formal but his mind thought in a different way. He didn't like his father a lot of the time because of his rudeness to Akassa at times, but he wasn't always so bad. Looking around him, he could see that Akassa and the new girl were excited for this tournament. The teenage Prince did not know who the other girl was - but she was wearing red. That was reserved for the royal family; Ninjin seemed irked but his parents were not flipping out. Something was up and Leke had missed it by being late to the party. Darn.
