Truffle heard a conversation happening in the throne room, so he took a moment to listen before he stepped inside. The royal family had always treated him kindly, like a pet, but they weren’t so readily giving with information when the fuzzy creature was around, and if they were, they made him feel like an idiot by trying to put it in the most laymen terms possible.
His large jaw dropped when he heard about the tournament. Surely he would not be allowed to be involved. After all what was he? Some fuzz ball from a long forgotten planet. Ninjin would throw a fit if Truffle somehow got himself involved in the tournament, but it seemed like a fun thing to do. And….the fuzzy creature thought to himself there’s absolutely no way Ninjin could get hurt if Truffle is there to protect him. Truffle grinned to himself. He would find a way to get entered into this tournament if it was the last thing he did. He would protect Ninjin, and if need be, ensure that his master won the tournament. When it came to Ninjin, Truffle was the world’s friendliest creature. He loving, obedient, gentle and loyal. When it came to anyone threatening Ninjin, Truffle was the worst nightmare imaginable. Despite being fuzzy and cute, he was strong and had powerful arms and teeth, a deadly combination.
Truffle walked into the room, without the notice of the Royal family. They were all too focused on their own thoughts to notice him. He walked up to behind Ninjin, his usual spot. He could sense that the Saiyan was aggravated, by many a different thing. The newcomer, he noticed, had upset him by wearing the royal colors. Not even Truffle was allowed to do that, but he had never tested it out, preferring to instead just go au-natural.
There was also a feeling of pride coming from Ninjin, one that was easy for Truffle to place. Ninjin’s emotions appeared like colors to Truffle, and so when he saw the gold feeling of pride emanating from Ninjin, there was one direction it pointed in. To the youngest Saiyan in the room, Leke. Because of Ninjin’s strong affections for the young one, Truffle adored him as well. He must have done something big to make Ninjin feel this way, for usually it was only his own actions that he took pride in. Truffle rubbed his face against Ninjin, alerting the Saiyan to his presence.

A… universal tournament? The grin stretched far across his face, his father had already decreed that they enter, and who was he to refuse such an order. He would enter and win this galactic tournament, for who could stand against the might of the Saiyan crown prince? Surely Leke and Akassa wouldn’t be winning, not when the glory could go to him. Celeh was just a lowly soldier, and though she may be powerful she was not royal blood.
The pieces were falling into place to ensure his victory before he even step foot in the arena. And then Akassa opened her Halfling mouth to spew lies. Her honor to win the tournament for the Hattori family? Her honor? For the Hattori? If she wanted honor brought to the Hattori name she would step aside when instructed and let Ninjin win. There would be only shame brought upon the Hattori family if she won, the entire Saiyan race would be let down, for why should a half-breed be able to beat the might of the full blood prince?
Ninjin was startled when he felt something rub against his upper arm, but the shock lessened when he found it was Truffle, back from his errand on Earth. Ninjin had sent the hulking blue creature instead of him because… well Ninjin hated Earth. He smiled and patted the creature’s head lovingly. Truffle was likely his only friend in the world, and it was comforting to have the creature by his side.
“Don’t let their pretty words fool you father, it shall be the crown that takes the glory in this tournament. Ninjin Hattori will win this tournament and bring true honor to our house and our name.” With that he placed his hand over his heart in a clenched fist, the feeling of pride inside himself causing him to even salute his father, something normally his ego would get in the way of. But the crown prince was excited. The chance to prove himself the strongest saiyan… no. the strongest fighter in the galaxy.
It was clear everyone in the room was excited, and it was clear his father had had the desired effect on all gathered, a broad smile forming on his face. Ninjin looked from him to his mother and back. They knew someone in this room would bring home glory for their household and their name, someone in here would win the galactic tournament. That someone was Ninjin Hattori.
The prince turned to leave cape swishing behind him. Truffle was no doubt obediently following close to the prince as he made his way out of the throne room. They had training to do. Whether for the glory of the house or for his own selfish pride, Ninjin Hattori vowed to win the tournament, or at the very least… ensure the victory of Leke, for only a full blooded saiyan prince would be winning this tournament.

Every single person in the room seemed thrilled with the prospect of fighting for a greater purpose. Especially for the Hattori family on one of the grandest stages that the galaxy had seen a very long time and the chance to prove that Saiyans were still the strongest group in the universe. The very idea of proving Saiyan dominance made Tsuyo grow filled with pride inside. The Saiyan king’s eyes fell on the group of warriors that would represent New Vegeta: his heir to the throne the ever pretentious Ninjin, the younger son of Tsuyo Leke, the fuzzy pet that had incidentally not bowed to the royal family Truffle, his half Saiyan daughter from one night of lust Akassa and her new “bodyguard” Celeh.
Ninjin did not wait very long and began to exit the throne room even though he had not been dismissed yet. Though that was not out of character for his son what had been was the salute just before hand. The other question that now lay before the Saiyan king was his daughter’s request. While he knew what his wife’s answer would be he began to ponder the thought.
“No half breed shall wear the colors of the Hattori family!” Natisha snapped with venom dripping from each word. Tsuyo smirked and chuckled to himself at this reaction but waited just a moment longer before responding himself.
“If you win the entire tournament I will consider granting that request.” Tsuyo spoke in a very stern voice. “But only if you win the entire tournament. Any less and do not bother asking to do so.” The man’s voiced echoed in the large ornate room. As soon as the words reached Natisha’s ears she leapt to her feet.
“What are you saying Tsuyo?! She is a half breed mutt!” Natisha spat.
“And Akassa is still a Hattori despite her genetics.” Tsuyo responded as he turned his head to his lovely wife. “She will receive one chance to prove that she is indeed worthy of wearing such colors.” His voice did not waiver and shot Akassa one final look that confirmed his statement. He was done with the conversation and now waited to see if he was needed.

These royal matters of colors and permission didn't concern Celeh much, but she hadn't been dismissed, so she listened anyway. She assumed that if it wasn't important for her to know they would have dismissed her before continuing their discussion about the Princess's apparent lack of permission to wear the 'royal' colors and the method she would have to use to earn the right to wear those colors. When the Queen uttered the word 'halfbreed' it all became clear to Celeh why this squabble had taken place. Akassa wasn't a legitimate successor to the throne. She was only half Saiyan, likely the other half being human as such pairings did happen more frequently as of late. Even the king had done such a thing, apparently. But that was of no concern to Celeh. The Princess was still the King's daughter in her mind. The fact that half of her blood was human didn't make a difference to the soldier. After all, if Royalty could choose to marry and have children with someone of the lower class, then what was the big deal about them having children with humans? Most elite saiyans treated the lower class and most humans with the same distaste or disrespect anyway.
She kept quiet, though, holding her tongue as she'd found herself doing almost constantly in the presence of these royals now. Only having known them a very short time and she was already not happy with a good deal of her arrangements as far as interacting with them went. Still, it wasn't her place to protest or try and dictate her own methods when serving them. At least, that's what she told herself to try and forget about saying something. She merely kept quiet until the King gave the dismissal that she very much desired right now.
(Sorry it's short. I couldn't think of anything for her to do or say at the moment.)

Akassa wanted to throttle Natisha for such words, but as always keeps those thoughts to herself. With her fist still to her chest she listens for the Kings ruling, knowing her father had the true last say on any issue. His words did not disappoint. The chance she was given was fair, win the tournament and be allowed to wear the colors, lose the tournament and she best keep her mouth shut. The terms were exactly what she had thought they would be, and Akassa did not expect anything less from herself than to win the tournament in its entirety.
Never before had she been given a true chance to earn her right to wear the colors, she would not fail in this. It was obvious the Queen was displeased as she yells out again, but it didn’t matter. Nothing mattered except that she needed to train, needed to win this tournament. When her father was done speaking she bows and salutes again. ”Thank you father, I shall not disappoint you.”
Turning on her heel she heads for the door, already running through what training regiments she was going to put herself through in order to guarantee her spot at the top of the podium. The female casts a quick glance at her brothers and smirks, knowing she was going to have to outlast both of them at some point. So be it, Ninjin would fall before her and even Leke, whom she liked, would not be given reprieve.
Passing by Celeh, who was still on one knee and saluting out of respect Akassa knew her first step. This girl was weaker than her, but nothing too simply over look. Not able to sense her exact power level she wanted to test the girl, test herself. ”Come Celeh, I want to test your skills.” The Saiyan Princess doesn’t even slow as she passes the girl and the tone of her voice leaves no doubt that it was a command. Akassa was not trying to talk down to the female warrior, but had been bread knowing she was better than them, ranked higher than them all. In her heart she saw no disrespect in her tone or short command, but it was true some could say members of the royal family had a different perspective than most.
(Akassa is leaving the thread, PL please. Celeh I think it is fair to say you can just post what you want for reward and leave with her, that is unless you want to make an exit post of your own then feel free!)

Leke smiled as his father noted that Akassa could possibly be re-installed into the Royal Family if she won. He thought that she had a legitimate chance to do so as long as she trained hard. Leke knew he had no chance with his two elder siblings entering, but this third person, maybe he could take her on. He should sense her power, it was smaller than hers; but if she trained hard, she could rival or even top his own power.
That just made him all the more excited. Everyone in the galaxy would be training for the tournament. He just had to train that much more than everybody else. He bowed to his father while saying, "Thank you again, father. I will not let you down." He then got up and left, cracking his knuckles, ready to go train as soon as he left the room.
(PL please)
