Ethan didn’t need to be asked twice, he wasn’t about to pass up the opportunity to have a good time, especially with their blue haired guest. By the time Kit had started back into the chamber, the shirtless teen was already darting past his brother, partly because they’d spent a few more moments talking. His haste was also to ensure his brother didn’t set the controls to something suicidal, at least for him. In spite of Ethan having installed and tested the machine, he’d not used it as much as his brother so his tolerance for the increased G factors was not has high. Commandeering the control panel, the boy set the gravitational pull to a modest 15 G’s, his next planned training plateau. Then once everyone seemed to be situated, the boy issued the command to the system’s computer to start ramping up the gravity in the room. Neither kit nor Conri expressed any interest in changing the scene, although it was possible Conri didn’t know their training chamber was also equipped with holographic projectors. In any case, the scene would for the moment remain the same as the boy stepped away from the panel and widened his stance to better support his weight in the increasing pull of the room.
“Ok guys, all set. Hope it’s not too much for you.” Ethan commented cheekily. From there he made his way to an open area of the room, his movements noticeably less fluid then they had previously been as he struggled against the intense gravity and the added weight of his training aids. Finding a spot, the boy turned to face the two and waited for them to discuss any rules they wanted.
(Gravity set to 15 G’s.)

Was he serious? Of course Saito wanted to hear about every opponent. He wanted to know each and every detail. He wanted their names, their fighting styles, their schools, their masters. He wanted to know how the tournament floor felt against his shoes. How the crowd sounded as they roared out his name. He wanted to hear about the easiest pawns that were out of their league, and the largest insurmountable challenges. There was no detail too small for the young Crane Master. Conri had participated in Saito's dream on an even larger scale. What he wouldn't have given to be in Conri's place on that first day. To meet the gaze of his opponent, bow just before the start of the combat. The thrill of a stunning victory, or the burning humiliation of failure. Even that would ignite a passion in the descendant of Masamune. The tournament he had trained his entire life for no longer ran and it wasn't fair.
Ethan's voice interrupted his fantasy. Surely his younger brother was at least somewhat as interested in the tales of Conri Lane, Galactic Champion. It wasn't about his fame, but rather his experience. The blue haired boy had progressed greatly since leaving his fathers compound. He was twenty times stronger than Saito had been at his age, at least. They hadn't been training together since the incident a few weeks back and it felt good to know they would be fighting on the same side. To learn his brothers strategies, and perhaps to inadvertantly teach him some of his own. This fight was going to be one of healing.
"15 should be fine Ethan. Thank you."
The room was large, mostly made of pressurized oak. Their newest student had reinforced the room with a technology Saito was unfamiliar with. What he understood of it was that most attacks would not breach the room. Unless it were one bent on the extreme intent of escaping the room, no energy blasts would damage the interior. They were fine to battle at the best of their ability. Or rather at the best of the Crane's ability. Conri was obviously well out of their league.
"Start from the begining Conri. I have always wanted to know the details of a grand tournament. We have never been afforded the opportunity to participate. Was it...Glorious?"
Saito entered a defensive stance and waited for his opponent and partner to do the same. There was no point in talking without a little physical contact added in.

It seemed that the two were both pumped for a sparring match against him as Ethan seemed to take the offer without much incentive and headed to the controls. He would be fine with whatever they set the machine at, he'd trained in a lot of varying degrees of gravity and adapted to them well. The gravity tried to pull at his frame to crush him against the floor, but he had sculpted his physique to be one that while had muscle had almost no extra mass to it, at least no excessive that would make this worse. As the gravity pulled him down he changed his stance to one that showed he was ready to have a good spar, in doing this the muscles became much more defined on him, showing that his muscles were all about usefulness instead of having over-sized muscles for nothing more than show. There was still one thing that they would have to sort before they could move forward with this sparring session though and it was likely the most important question right now, because it would likely determine the entire course of the match.
"So, how will this be proceeding? Are we going to fight tag team style with me shifting power accordingly or is it two on one? If that I need to adjust my power appropriately to deal with two opponents or are we going to try a gauntlet style of battle where I fight one at a time?" it was important to establish how he was going to fight, as it meant he could figure out his own power level so that it wasn't just him going at full power. That was only reserved for serious fights and the like, but then again if they wanted to face off against his full might that was their choice as well, he just figured it was better to not do that from the get go. Saito also seemed to be rather interested in the tales of his battles in the galactic championship, but to him it had just been a competition and nothing all that spectacular. Though that might be because he was just raised to use his abilities in a more practical setting and that his father tried to warp him into something he did not want to become at all.
"Well the very first fight I was in was against someone that was from the Kame School, she was an interesting opponent who was trying to get her school to be more recognized once more, but I had something to do as well. She was a good fighter no doubt, but I couldn't just up and let her win. I was a slave to my own desire to get revenge at the time," he spoke honestly. That was probably another part that the tournament had not been that big of a thing to him, it was a time that he had let himself get consumed by a darker side of his soul, but he suppose that was in the past now. The whole thing had been his fault to begin with and he was not going to let that be a repeat, even if it cost him his life. He also wasn't entirely sure of what he wanted to know about it, so if he wanted to know more about what had been going on, he could ask if he wished.
For the time being he waited to see how the two wanted to try sparing against the Half-Saiyan before he would fully prepare for a fight. (sorry it took so long, legit thought I had posted already, my bad)

Holding his position at a roughly equidistant position relative to both Conri and his brother, Ethan half listened to the exchange but wasn’t really following the parts who’s details he wasn’t privy to, neither did be much care. He was here to have fun, not turn the meeting into a study meet. One detail did however catch his attention, the fact that one of their options had been omitted and he figured he’d just throw that out there to make sure it wasn’t missed, not that he had any particular stake in which setup the two chose.
“You forgot free for all.” the blue haired boy pointed out as he unplugged his headset from his music player and set the little device to use one it’s more interesting features, to record their sparring match with it’s own tiny camera and microphone. Taking his headset off of his shoulders and wrapping the cord around it, the teen reached back to the control consol and laid the phones down there so they would not be in the way. The effort to perform such a simple task though was noticeably difficult for the boy as he already taught muscles were flexing intensely to support the motion and weight of the boy’s outstretched arm as well as the added mass of his training weights. No doubt this match was going to be as comical as it would be strenuous as with just difficult gravitational conditions naturally came a certain level of clumsiness.

The crane hung on the man's every word. He knew well that the Kame school was no longer active. It was a similar case to the Crane. Its deep history led to a significantly more complicated recreation. Everyone wanted to run the hermit school. Saito did not share that desire. He had always found that the underdog would outshine the corporate machine. Oddly enough it was likely only Saito that viewed the hermit school as a corporation. Its values had once been instilled by mighty warriors. Over time however these warriors died, and with them the civility and personallity of the school. From his fathers limited perspective, Saito knew that those who claimed to follow the school were no more legitimate than those who did work out video's from home. They were not atheletes. Saito was unsurprised that the girl went down so easily.
"Membership at a school is only as good as the effort you put in. I tell my students every day that being a member here won't do them any good if they do not try. Obviously this girl needed more practice. Whom did you face next?"
That was when Ethan remarked on the conversation. Not nearly as interested in their tournament talk, the teen was far more interested in showing off. Typical little brother. Saito had expected to fight side by side with him. Conri Lane was significantly stronger than Saito, he knew this both by lore and simply by being in his presence. The warrior let off a powerful aura even when he was not attempting too. The moment the gravity turned on Saito could feel the weight hardly even impacting the amount of power the champion was able to produce. Such advanced Ki sensing came at a price. He always knew how outmatched he was. Fortunately he rarely cared. If his brother wanted this to be a free for all, so be it. Perhaps the three would all learn something from the experience. Taking a couple steps back to ensure his distance from the two fighters was equal, he raised his arms up into the air, a basic defensive stance. Saito generally did not make the first move, both for strategic and courteous reasons. He had a guest, it was only fair to give him the first move.

The thought of the fighter that he met in the very first match and their fight, it was something that he wouldn't forget as he had done something that he wished he hadn't in that fight. Hopefully, there would be time to find the woman and apologize, given that he had change quite a bit and perhaps he could do something to make amends for what had happened. That would need to wait until after this of course, he was glad that Saito wanted to hear about his fights with how it reminded him that he needed to fix things that had happened. The words Saito spoke next were ones that did not sit well with the Half-Saiyan, Saito seemed to have a bit of arrogance towards others without knowing anything about them.
"No, I think that's enough. If you can't be respectful towards those that I have fought against and who have given their all, then there is no need for me to say anymore," he wouldn't let anyone disrespect those that he had defeated. The woman from the Kame school had put in an incredible amount of effort to get to the tournament, he knew because he remembered the battle clearly. She was not a pushover, in fact she had been quite powerful herself and skilled, having fought against Conri at his full power at the time. Whether it had been intentional or not he would wait and see though, if Saito simply misspoke then that would be that, but if he had
When Ethan spoke about making it a free for all there was a raised eyebrow for a moment, before he shrugged and took up his own fighting stance facing the other two and deciding on a power level that would be reasonable. It would probably be better for them to try fighting together anyways, so with a power level of one hundred and fifty thousand he was sure that would likely get the message across to them. That or it would just continue to be a free for all, either way if they wanted to continue like that it was fine with him. He would wait for one of them to make the first move though, given that he was the strongest one there it was the only fair thing to do. Especially considering that he likely had much more in the way of techniques then they did as well, but he could always save those for a bit later as well. It might be fun to see their reactions to some of what he could do, either way it seemed that the spar was about to begin now, so he would need to focus on that more than anything else. (sorry if it's not great, all I could think of.)

A little disgruntled that Kit kept pushing Conri to gab on about his past fights, Ethan’s impatience started to show as he bounced from foot to foot and started to throw punches at the thin air. His brother wasn’t exactly behaving like a good host, especially when he went on to insult the opponent of one of the blue haired man’s matches. Conri though immediately fired back that he ws being disrespectful, which now that Ethan thought about it, wasn’t all that surprising. His brother had always been the best back home, it was only natural that he not have a well developed sense of modesty. Ethan to an extent shared in that lack of modesty although his was more confined to his lax dress code and brash attitude, he did not however take it to the extent of insulting people, Ethan was much more of a people person then his older brother was.
What was more annoying though then watching Kit show off his bat manners was that neither Conri nor Kit gave him much of a response when he suggested the free for all. The tone boarded on that of a joke which is what it was intended to be, but it didn’t even get a chuckle out of either and on top of that, the two didn’t indicate what it was they were thinking, they just took up stances and readied themselves. On top of being annoyed it was also confusing, what were they doing? Was it really going to be a free for all? Did they just dismiss his suggestion? If so, then how were they going to proceed? No one was communicating in any meaningful manner so Ethan felt it rested upon him to keep things moving in a clear direction, with his usual style of course.
“Yeesh, it was only a suggestion. Don’t need to give me the cold shoulder.” the boy stated as he dropped his arms and stepped back over to the control panel. A few button pushes later and the bland interior of the training room morphed into something more picturesque, a grassy field about a hundred feet across with dense trees on either end, a lake to one side and the beginning of a mountain range on the other. Once they had been given a proper environment to enjoy, Ethan sprang right into action, leaping against the intense pull of the chamber’s gravity generator to launch himself into the air and mid arc, formed his thruster surfboard. With his vehicle formed and under power and with the extra, virtual space afforded to him by the simulated environment, Ethan rocketed off at a ninety degree angle relative to Conri with the intent being to get around to his side as quickly as he could and close in for an elbow to his right side.

He was once more letting his emotions get the better of him as it was Ethan's words that broke him out of the effect of it and he took in a deep breath to settle himself. It seemed that while they're were plenty of things they could discuss and the like, discussing past battles would not be one of them, mostly because he respected the opponents that he fought against and wouldn't let anyone insult them. However, he wouldn't let his emotions take a hold of him, it was hard enough for him to keep himself sane at times from everything that weighed down on his mind.
"Sorry about that, Ethan. I'm fine with whatever, feel free for either of you to come at me as you want. I'll do my best to help you both become much stronger as well, it's the least I can do for the hospitality you've shown," he smirked at that. He wasn't going to be pulling any punches against these two, it wouldn't do much for them in the long run, instead he was going to show them how to fight against someone stronger. The first to make a move was Ethan who created a surfboard of water and aimed a dive bomb towards him. It would be interesting to see how the young warrior reacted to different situation, so he would play defense for the time being and threw his hands out forming his electromagnetic barrier about a foot around his body.
He wouldn't act otherwise, however, he wanted to see if Ethan could overcome a powerful defense with what he had available to him. If not, then he would have to evolve in this battle to include something for that. His focus never left Kit though, as he made sure to keep his attention on the both of them, letting his guard down wouldn't do anything for him. (Blah, short but it's here. Apologies for skipping, kit, but figured it would be preferable to ending the thread since it's been over a month.)

Circling around as rapidly as he could under the intense conditions of the gravity chamber, Ethan though his evasive attack maneuver was working quite well as Conri appeared to be ignoring him, keeping his attention on Kit. That was a mistake, Ethan was going to show the other blue haired young man that he wasn't to be ignored and so zoomed in at his best speed to deliver his elbow strike. However as Ethan closed and made his move, some sort of protective shield materialized around the other fighter, taking the brunt of the impact. To Ethan it felt like he's just struck a brick wall, his elbow stinging as he sped off on another looping arc.
"Rrrr. That smarts." the boy grumbled. "Ok, using energy already are we, let's try this on for size." Ethan commented more to himself then to Conri, tightening his arc for another pass. As he closed again on the stationary man, Ethan shunted some of his energy to his right arm and dove in for another strike, thrusting his open palm out the moment he was in rang with the intention of striking Conri in the back this time and upon impact release the burst of energy in a directed explosion that would hopefully dent if not do major damage to the man's shield, yelling as he often did with the execution of the technique.
"Shaka!"

The room seemed less filled with fighters, and more with hormonal teenagers. Ethan didn’t feel he was getting enough attention, and it seemed he had misspoken with Conri. He had not intended his comment to be a jab at his former opponent, and Saito did as he usually would when someone was upset and he didn’t understand why. He remained silent. Ethan had taken to combat and so it was not difficult to simply stop talking. Conri had truly been offended by his words, and if Saito was going to continue conversing he needed to tread lightly. The champion had a chip on his shoulder. The fighting began, and had Saito not been so genuinely interested in knowing more about the tournament he would have stopped speaking entirely and fought. Ethan however would be equally moody if Saito stepped in the middle. His knee’s bent, and the warrior began to stretch. It would be his turn soon enough. “My sincerest apologies Champion. I meant no malice in my words. I was observing my own feelings, or at least had I been in her situation. It is no insult to suggest she needed more training, only an observation.” He wouldn’t follow up with any other questions. He wanted to know more, but at the risk of upsetting his guest it seemed unwise to goad him further. Instead the older brother opted to watch his sibling. Saito had taught Ethan a fair deal about energy and its uses, however the control he demonstrated now showed that the boy had in fact been training on his own. There was a misplaced pride in his heart, as certainly the boy had not learned it from him. Then again he was often proud of Ethan and his accomplishments. He had introduced the boy to the concept, and he had taken it on his own. It was impressive. The crane finished his stretching and with his only available eye watched his brother’s powerful strike hit the champion. Realistically Conri Lane would be able to deflect any attack the two men threw at him. It wasn’t for a lack of their own abilities, but rather the intense nature of Conri’s. In a stroke of irony, Saito thought, the two obviously needed more training. Taking a deep breath, the Ki in his body released in a modest swirl at the bottom of his feet. His energy had begun to charge, a strategy Saito favored, especially when in combat with more than one individual. With the body count on his side, he hoped to charge his attack into something worth defending against. So long as Ethan was able, he would use the boy as a distraction of sorts. He would have consulted with his brother first, but Ethan’s close quarters choice of combat played perfectly into his strategy.

There was an apology from Kit, but it seemed he mistook what Conri had been referring to with his statement, granted that he didn't quite explain himself either. Still, the comment about effort while it might not have been aimed that way was an indirect jab, as it seemed he didn't think his opponent put much effort into what she did. Which was incredibly wrong if that was what he thought, it may have just been the way he said it that sent the wrong message, but still he wanted to clarify things before he moved on from it.
"It's not that training part, but the mention of effort. If you didn't mean that she didn't put any effort into what she did, then I apologize for the misunderstanding, but if you did mean that then you would be dead wrong. Either way, I'd rather put it behind us regardless, I just don't like people putting down my opponents regardless of who they are. Like I said though, if I was wrong about that then I apologize. Also, call me Conri I don't really much care to be called by titles."
With that he would stop talking and refocus on the fight as Ethan came from behind him to try a palm strike and hoped that the teen was careful of how close he got to the barrier with is given the electrical charge that surrounded it as well. His barrier was offense and defense in one setting, though it only lasted for a limited time, but it was well worth the limit in the long run. Still as the strike neared an explosive force erupted from it directed in a singular direction, and with that he found a chance to retaliate as well. Dropping the shield he spun to the side to avoid the explosive blast, though it managed to catch his side a bit burning his shirt and flesh leaving light scorch marks across a portion of his abs. Using the spin to his advantage, however, he struck back with a backhanded fist aimed at Ethan's side and without hesitation followed it up with a right hook in the hopes of catching him off guard.
Ethan wasn't his only opponent though, he understood that quite well and shifted his weight to twist his body even more almost seemingly like a top with the motions he was making and kicked out with his leg. The distance might make either of them curious but the answer would soon come in the form of his wolf king kick and the blast that erupted from his leg towards Kit. He was just getting warmed up with this whole thing and he was hoping they would be able to let him have some real fun. (Wolf King Kick 0/1 Hopefully this makes sense and is good lol)

Swinging around a executing his attack, Ethan wasn't surprised that Conri was able to keep up with his movements, he wasn't after all moving at his fastest speed because of the intense gravitational pull in the room as well as the added inertial mass of his training weights. Truthfully, just keeping up the pace he was going was tiring him a lot faster then normal, but he wasn't exhausted yet. What did surprise the blue haired teen though was that when he released the blast into Conri's side, the older man having turned on the boy's approach, the explosion never got the chance to react against the protective barrier. Instead the other blue haired fighter opted to drop the defense and attempted what Ethan thought an evasive maneuver. The move wasn't all that effective though, at least that's what the boy thought, as his blast toasted a good portion of the other's shirt. What Ethan didn't realize though was that the apparent evasive maneuver was in fact a well executed counter.
With his arm extended to deliver the blast and his momentum continuing to carry him forward, Conri had an open window right to Ethan's side and acted at once, smashing a powerful backhand into the boy's ribs. Ethan wasn't a slouch though and tried to tense up, but the blow was something like what he'd expect from kit, hard enough to hurt in spite of a defense. The blue haired teen gritted his teeth, pulling his extended arm back and was about to launch the opposite in a counter of his own when Conri's follow-up hit him like a freight train. The bigger man's fist plowed right into the top of Ethan's stomach, the most sensitive place, bar one or two others, in a man's body and left the teen gasping for air as his feet felt through his board to the ground, the construct vanishing from the interruption of energy flow from that same critical point, the solar plexus. Ethan was wide eyed as he stumbled back a few steps, grabbing his middle with his left hand and holding his right out once more in a vain attempt to channel energy into another blast. The kid was tough though, there was no doubt about that, as evidenced by the fact that he was still standing, but his energy and indeed very breathing had been interrupted by the strike.

Saito heard the champions words. He could see the man cared deeply for his craft. It was a rarity to find a man with the same respect for the art he possessed. It was dishonorable to speak poorly of a fallen opponent and Conri knew this. Saito wondered if the champion had any formal training. It was unlikely that he had become this powerful without any prior training, though not impossible. Saito's hands began to glow as the warrior started his movements. If Saito was not moving it meant Conri could only attack from a range. His brother Ethan had a different idea. Saito remained cold in his features as the younger sibling took a heavy blow to his mid section. Ethan had been good at recovering quickly from such hits in the past. It was a knack of his. Despite leaving himself open to attack, he was quick to recover, a solid give and take.
"Apologies Cha...Conri. I am still very intrigued by the concept of your title. You would do me a great honor telling me more about it."
It was at that moment the champion turned his attention to Kit, doing a dance with his legs that Saito did not recognize. It was clearly a summoning for some sort of Ki manifestation and despite being several feet away the warrior fired a blast of energy from his leg in a ferocious kick. The charged energy in Saito's palms was ready to meet the blast. Preparing himself for the strike he grounded his knee's in a slight crouch and when the energy was upon him he swiped to his right, his glowing palms made contact with the energy and Saito's Ki redirection sent the opposing attack colliding with the wall in an audible explosion that echoed through the room. Steam rose from the warriors hands. He made an effort not to notice it, but Conri's attack had not been without its effects. If Saito attempted to redirect another attack of that caliber, his hands would regret it.
It was time to counter, while Ethan fired his own attack, Saito grabbed his right wrist. His finger rose into the shape of a gun and six small bullets of Ki floated around his wrist. Conri would have to react to each attack, one after the other. Saito fired in rapid succession. All six bullets flew through the air at the champion. All six together equaled one powerful spirit gun. He hoped a few of them would land, but Conri's defensive techniques had not yet been explored. Would the champion dodge or defend?

The blows both struck true against Ethan the second one striking much harder than the first and causing him to lose his breath as well as his balance in one go as he stumbled back from the pain. He felt a bit bad about it, but if this was to be a free for all or a two versus one, then he would not have the luxury of holding back his strength against either of them plus it wouldn't do much to help them grow if he went at a relaxed pace. On the other side of things Kit had managed to deflect his wolf king kick with energy that had been gathered into his hands, but it seemed that it had been straining on him as well to do so. Which was good, if it was too easy then there wouldn't be much growth from the training that they were doing right now. Kit was also still intent on learning more about his role as champion and wanted to hear more about the tournament fights themselves, so it was then that he had a bit of a fun idea to make things more interesting all around.
"Hm, well if that's the case, then how about this; you beat me and I'll tell you whatever you want to know about it, sound good?" he figured it would be an interesting reward if Kit could defeat him. Though if this was to be a free for all as well, that would make it all the more challenging for the school leader, but it was probably the one surefire way for him to learn everything that he wanted to from Conri. His eyes glanced back towards Ethan as he sensed him trying to gather power for a moment before it would dissipate unable to form properly, and while he was starting to recover, he wondered if it would be fast enough. With a bit of compressed air he launched himself backwards with a quick burst of speed, aiming his elbow for the same spot that he had struck before with his fist on the younger blue-haired warrior. This was a two versus one regardless of the actual fighting setup regardless and he would go at both of them with his full tenacity.
He could see the Ki form around Kit's hand and as the Ki blasts flew at him, he crossed his arms in front of him to block the attacks, though he would still take damage from the shots they wouldn't be as severe. More burn marks covered his arms and sides, along with a blast having gotten through to hit his shoulder dead on, he rotated the limb to make sure that it was still relatively usable. He smirked a bit though at the fact that Saito had launched a barrage of Ki blasts at him, so he supposed that returning the favor was only fair. Forming two spheres of Ki and holding one in each hand he began to throw them at a high speed, forming new ones immediately after to take the place of the ones he had thrown. The blasts erupting from him like a hail of machine gun fire, this was the Renzoku Energy Dan, it had proven to be quite an effective technique before and he was sure it would now as well. (this sounds good to me, but if there are any issues lemme know!)

Holding his hand out with nothing happening might have looked a little silly, but Conri evidently figured out just what the blue haired boy was trying to do, unfortunately for Ethan his source of energy had suffered a paralyzing blow and the boy could not channel what was needed to fire. Ethan thought perhaps the other blue haired man hadn't realized what he was doing and had turned his back to concentrate on Kit now, but after taking a few seconds to banter with his older brother, Conri was suddenly barreling backwards and strait into the shirtless teen. With his right arm still out, Ethan just managed to pull his left hand away from his middle in a effort to put both hands out to defend himself when Conri's elbow thrust into his solar plexus a second time. The impact was thunderous and because of the upward motion of the blow the force lifted Ethan's whole body, his back arc up in the air and feet actually leaving the ground.
"Uhhhhggggg...." Ethan let out a strangled gasp as his already depleted lungs expelled every molecule of air that was left in his body. Two shots, two uncontested blows of stupendous power had now landed in one of the most sensitive parts of his body and it was like a grenade had done off inside of him now. When his feet hit the ground there was no strength behind them and the boy simply crumpled to his knees, and fell forward onto his already extended right arm. The left hand returned to cradling his injured middle as the effects of the massing impact continued to progress. Still unable to breath, Ethan hung there with a shocked expression in his face as waved of nausea started to churn through his innards. Choking sounds followed and then one, two three heaves and finally the poor teen started to wretch into the virtual grass. He couldn't believe this, not even Kit had ever caused him to throw up, it was equal parts gross and embarrassing. What was he doing to do now? His whole body was shaking as the last of the day's meal pooled on the simulated ground and Ethan doubted he had the strength to continue the match, at east not at the moment anyway. Perhaps if he had some time to recover, but that would leave all the heat on Kit for, well, how ever long it would take. Ethan resolved himself, he would rise again, but only once he was breathing.
'Come on, I've got to pull through this. Just a few more seconds, I've been hit like this before, I know how this feels, it won't last...' the boy told himself, his chest still refusing to re-inflate. Precious second were going by, Ethan could hear the sounds of the fight but his world was tiny at the moment, the actions of Conri and his brother a hazy backdrop as he knelt there, wishing for some air to return to his body. Bit by bit the throbbing, draining pain that rolled through his body lessened and after some time, how much Ethan didn't know, he was able to pull in a gasping breath. The shivering teen greedily sucked in as much air as his burning lungs would allow and blew out the waste carbon that was building up. He was breathing again, all be it raggedly, but he'd need a few moments more, the blow had just knocked so much out of him, lunch not withstanding. Grimacing now through clenched teeth, Ethan massaged the sore spot in his middle, trying to get his metaphorical fire lit again and restore what he needed to fight.
