The ground scattered through his hair as pain ran through his body. He had barely any function in his left leg and it seemed to be losing all sense of control by the minute. On top of that he now had a large gash running down his right upper arm. He hadn’t been quick enough to get the sword all the way out of striking distance and he had paid for it. Jotun’s Grasp provided some relief from the pain while no doubt creating a rather unsightly scar later on. The cold had seeped into the wound in an instant and froze all of the skin tissue and blood vessels. He would not bleed from this wound anymore but at the same time a small piece of sword was kept entombed in the muscle. If the nerves had not been frozen it would have proven to be excruciating.
Surveying the area around them Kurosanai knew that he was only going to cause more harm than good if they did not get to a more secluded place. The prodigy doubted that the Saiyan was going to just openly move the battle either as he had already shown a complete disregard for the sacred beauty of life. Knowing that there was only going to be relief to this town came through trickery Kurosanai did just that. Sinking into his fighting stance once again he extends his right hand out in front of him and motions to ‘Bring it.’
The Saiyan bought it hook line and sinker. His golden aura flared as pieces of the ground shot forward. Kuro quickly batted each out of the way with ease right before his eyes caught something out of the dust. The man had charged forward just as he had done against Conri back in the Gamma Slums. First came a right overhand punch which Kuro met with practiced skill only to be out maneuvered as a hard left slammed into his side. Without so much as a second thought to the pain that ran through his side Kuro drove his good knee into the heart of the saiyan. It seemed to stun him long enough for Kuro to grab onto his hair and throw him into the air away from the town. He only managed to fly about fifty feet before being able to right himself; Kuro’s blocking of his flight was beginning to wear off. He knew he only had a moment longer and in that instant he charged straight into the golden Saiyan and then both disappeared from view. For that brief moment the rest of the population of the town was going to be able to try and find shelter.
When the two reappeared they began to plummet down to the earth with break neck speed. The Saiyan was not going to sit and wait around for Kuro to come up with his next move. Two strong fists slammed into his back forced the air out of his lungs. This was followed by him pivoting to his side and propelling Kurosanai down into the forest below even faster than he was originally. Branches and tree limbs snapped as the prodigy ripped through the forest like a canon shot. Hitting face first into the ground the boy began to carve out a trench in the dirt. Eventually he came to a stop when he smashed into a large rock face. Kurosanai tried to get back to his feet only to find his body screaming at him louder that particular moment than it had all fight thus far. His hand pressed against the rock face as he managed to find footing. It was when he turned that things weren’t as pretty.
Kuro turned right into the man’s punch and when it connected for a brief moment a ripple rolled through his face before it was planted into the rock face. This was followed up by a swift kick to the ribs and the Saiyan grabbing him by the head. His grip began to tighten as the golden aura flamed off of his arm. The prodigy’s eyes searched for any hope of escape. It was then that he noticed the Saiyan seemingly getting lost in his eyes. This provided the moment that Kuro needed. Opening his mouth as wide as he could he managed to slip a part of the man’s hand into his mouth he then chomped down with as much force as he could muster. The taste of coppery taste of blood filled his mouth as the Saiyan’s hand began to drip crimson from where he managed to sink his teeth in. This did little other than piss off the man more as he grimaced in pain. A strong hand once again slammed into his stomach causing another roar of pain. Then came the strangest inadvertent move that Kurosanai had ever pulled off during a fight. His good leg snapped upwards sending his foot soaring in between the man’s legs and driving home into the man’s groin.
Instantly his grip loosened out of pure physical reaction. On one level Kuro had even cringed a bit when he had realized where he had kicked the man. The Saiyan pivoted slightly before sinking to one knee and then attempting to bounce right back up, regardless of who you were a kick the groin was still a kick to the groin. Instead of pressing the offensive Kurosanai used this moment to take a breather and refill his lungs. This would prove almost deadly as the Saiyan turned violently launching a large energy wave directed at Kuro’s head. Thankfully his knee had given out just a second before causing the blast to cut through the rock face but not take its intended prize.
Fighting to get back to Kuro suddenly felt himself lifted into the air and thrown by an unseen force. Once again Kuro went flying through the tree limbs snapping them like twigs but unlike before he was ready and spun before grinding to a halt on his feet. The skid ended just short of the lapping water of the ocean. The Saiyan came charging forward like a bull enflamed by the sight of the red matador’s cape. The saiyan’s first strike was a head kick which Kuro stepped to the side of only to be followed up with a back kick from the same leg. Kuro caught the second kick before his left arm struck out like a scorpion’s tail at his body and head. No longer would he deal with the saiyan hiding behind any body enhancements or his telekinesis.
Striking to block these abilities would cost Kuro as the Saiyan twisted and slammed the boy hard into the ground below him. The ground cracked under the force and sent rocks flying up into the air. With a sick look on his face the Saiyan lowered his hand once again as energy began to gather in it. Before he could fire the beam Kuro slipped one of his hands free and with a swipe at the empty air a wave of fire appeared by him. Unlike before where the Saiyan was not expecting this he was fully prepared. He leapt back but it would Kuro enough time and space to move. Disappearing from view the prodigy would move faster than the eye could track only to reappear right in front of his opponent. First came two hard strikes to the chest, an oblique kick and then a hard elbow to the jaw. Kuro slips underneath a punch and counters back with his own. It lands hard jarring the Saiyan and briefly sending a ripple through his face. Shifting keep the distance close Kurosanai falls into a bear hug like hold leaving his head next to the Saiyan’s right ear.
Without so much as a second thought the prodigy of the Muzai opens his mouth wide and then chomps down on the ear. Once again his mouth fills with the taste of coppery blood but this time he would strike with a violent head snap to his left before the Saiyan had a chance to react. It was a sickening feeling and an even more sickening sound as the man’s ear for the most part was ripped clear from his head. The ear would go flying across the ground as it came out of Kurosanai’s mouth. The man’s arms loosened just enough for Kuro to pull free take several paces and then plunge into the water that had been watching with bated breath. Its cool embrace allowed Kurosanai to relieve some of the pain as he plunged to the depths beneath the surface. Even from where he was, underneath the water, he could hear the man screaming and cursing violently. The prodigy needed to use the fact that the Saiyan could not sense him in order to give him time to recover. That moment however did not last long as the water above him began to light up with brilliant light.
Like a meteor shower out of the night sky ki blasts began to rain down on the human’s position. Some missing horribly others coming decently close to where he was hidden in the ocean but all of the ki blasts erupted into small explosions. Each explosion sent small force ripples through the water that began to bombard the prodigy of the Muzai. Letting out the air in his the water around him began to freeze into what would become a small globe ice with a hollow spot in the center, capsuling him within. The ice seemed take the edge off of the explosions. That was until a single more powerfully condensed blast soared behind the globe of ice. The explosion from this blast was violent and was enough to shatter the ball of ice and send Kurosanai flying from the ocean like a rocket. Little did Kuro know but that was one of the attacks that the Saiyan had actually learned from the Queen of New Vegeta herself, Big Bang Attack.
Crashing down on the shore Kurosanai tried to spring back to his feet immediately only to be hampered by his knee once again and left standing halfway up. He heard the Saiyan coming before he saw him and Kuro rolled to his side just as the Saiyan crashed into the ground with as stomp. It appeared now that this battle had taken a more brutal side he wanted to try and finish the prodigy off with his own two hands. The problem was that he was more of a brawler than technical fighter meaning that often times he strikes while extremely powerful left many openings just like the next one. Pulling his foot free the Saiyan charged forward with a left handed clothesline. The prodigy caught the clothesline, slid across the ground and then in a violent jerk popped the man’s arm out of its socket. Before he had a chance to howl in pain, he was pulled back towards Kurosanai who delivered an extremely powerful uppercut to the jaw which sent the Saiyan skyward. Kurosanai not wasting a moment followed him closely throwing several more strikes which only seemed to shoot the man up higher and higher into the atmosphere.
The air became thinner and thinner yet the strikes continued to rain down on the Saiyan. It would not be until they seemed to stop moving that the Saiyan snapped out of his stupor. First came several blocks to stop the onslaught of damage and then came several attempted strikes in return. Kuro though felt the momentum of the battle had shifted and knew he could not let up for even a brief second with this man. The prodigy of the Muzai launched a series of kicks that slammed into the body of the Saiyan, each carrying more strength than the last; this volley was finished off with a Pele kick to the top of the skull which rocketed the man back down to the Earth below. Kuro not wanting to give his opponent a second to breathe dove right after him. Just as he was about to reach him the Saiyan fired several energy blasts off upwards at the prodigy. Deflecting them away with his hands Kurosanai closed the distance and threw a strong straight left which connected full face and seemed to knock the Saiyan into a daze. Flipping over in the air Kurosanai wrapped the man in his arms. Tightly he squeezed the man’s legs together so that they stayed perfectly straight up into the air while wrapping his own legs around the man’s body before crossing his feet underneath his chin forcing the Saiyan’s head to become perfectly aligned with his straightened body. Together the two of them plunged through the like a comet in space.
What felt like an eternity was only a matter of seconds, the two fighters slammed into the forest that they had both been fighting in. The force of the attack caused the forest to essentially explode into a million pieces. Rocks and trees were sent flying as the ground cracked and buckled underneath it from the impact point outwards. This crater would not be satisfied with just a portion of the forest though, instead it would continue out to a mere quarter mile from the town’s edge and another mile and a half into the ocean causing it to spit at the sky.
The air in his lungs seemed to disappear on impact and everything blacked out for a moment. When he opened his eyes again all he heard was the soft fall of the rain and the new rock outcroppings that had been formed only moments ago. Slowly he let go of the man which now stuck straight up out of the ground like a lightning rod. Breathing heavily the prodigy looked over to the Saiyan and not seeing any movement let out a sigh before crawling to the top of one of the craters. Today had turned into a black day and it never had to have been.
“Finally…it is over…” Kurosanai sighed as he stared off at the town in the distance with the hospital rising up from its simple skyline from its home nestled in the hills. There had been no powerful source of energy anywhere near the two when they began to fight although he doubted very much if they would stay away now. Central City was at least several hours flight from here, and that was part of the reason why Kurosanai had originally come out so far away from his home.
A shifting of rocks below caused Kuro’s head to snap back as he saw the Saiyan, dazed and confused begin to stir. He fell to his stomach as his eyes searched the sky in the opposite direction of the prodigy. Kurosanai could not believe it, that impact should have killed him and yet he still drew breath. This man had to be stopped.
“I told you I would stop you…no matter what….” Kurosanai mumbled under his breath as energy began to build in his chest. It would continue to build as he watched the Saiyan studiously. He simply could not believe that he had survived but hopefully after this next attack it would all be over, he was not sure how much more of this he could take.
With a roar of strength Kurosanai screamed, “Chaotic Burst!”
In all directions around him ice drawn from the same magic of his Jotun’s Breath and Grasp would coat everything in eye sight and well beyond the immediate area. The ice was only the first phase of the attack as it was designed to stun or cause any victims to get stuck in its icy grasp. The next wave of the attack would be intended for much more destruction. Fire would burst forth just like the ice had but instead of coating everything in a crystal like paradise it would intend to burn away everything that had lived there. The fire would be super charged to burn at roughly 2400 degrees Fahrenheit. Though powerful this technique would well fall short of the town and not threatened to plunge it into its doom. Once again the ocen would not be as lucky and would buck and hiss at the pain it endured.
Regardless of the outcome of the technique Kurosanai would glance down at his right arm to notice blood flowing from the spot the piece of the sword had been embedded. The heat from fire must have counter acted the cold of the magic somehow and thawed some of the tissue and blood vessels. With this though came a rapid loss of control of his right arm. Motor function would be decreased to at least half of what it was normally and if the fight dragged on for much longer he would lose complete use of his arm without medical treatment.

Everything hurt. His arms, his neck, his back, every breath Nasu drew was a struggle but still his chest and shoulders heaved as he tried to get as much air into his body as he could. The fight had worn him and every breath he took brought wheezing that was a sure giveaway liquid was in his lungs. It was blood, he knew it was blood. Laying on the ground in the mud blood ran down his face mixing with the rain forming pools that ebbed and swirled in patterns that reminded Nasu of the strangers eyes. Nasu heard footsteps approaching him where he lay.
On top of all that he was bound to be sterile now as well, which might be a plus considering everything that tended to happen to children of the Hattori blood line. Not the least of those misfortunes was the curious man approaching him.
Still giving off absolutely no power level the man was baffling to Nasu. In the stories the hero would be challenged by a man such as this, the hero would overcome great obstacles, and hardships to even get here. And then just when things looked bleakest he would rise up. With one last push, one more burst of god like effort the hero would overcome insurmountable obstacles and emerge victorious. But Nasu knew he was no hero.
He had wanted to test the stranger’s morals and the man had failed. Placing justice for past wrongs over lives in the future. Willing to sacrifice innocents to get his own whims. But in the end Nasu had been the one to pull the figurative trigger. The man in front of him may not be the hero of the story he was writing but Nasu was sure as hell the villain. And in real life the bad guy wins.
He could hear the rhythmic beat of his heart slightly off beat with the man’s slow footsteps as they approached, the driving rain providing white noise in the background that would make the scene almost peaceful if he wasn’t dying. His opponent had come to see if the last attack had killed him. Nasu struggled to rise, struggled to power back up to his super saiyan form, struggled to so much as move, for all intents and purposes that bizarre attack had ended the life of Nasu Hattori. ****
Nasu pushed the boulder off of him with a grunt, his golden aura tinged with red from rage. Blood literally flying off of him as his power pulsed throwing everything away in a gust and creating a ripple of water circling around his feet. His eyes focused on the man in front of him hardening in hatred.
Consistently this man found ways to hurt him despite not having any obvious power level. Whatever it was it had to be found in his eyes. They were the only remarkable part of the Earthling but they clearly held the secret to this stranger’s powers.
Before he can get his bearings about him he feels the air around him cool well below freezing, the cold hitting him with almost a physical force. Due to the distance between the two the man’s words doesn’t reach Nasu until a moment’s later. “Chaotic Burst!” came the shout and with that Nasu’s head snapped up determined to face whatever was coming but it was already too late.
The arctic air had done it’s job freezing the ankle deep water Nasu had been standing in. Before he had a chance to react everything changed, the temperature around him went from arctic to oven instantaneously and Nasu threw both arms up in front of him forming an “x”. He instinctively threw his electric barrier in front of him as well but the attack wasn’t pure energy. It was fire.
Burning, searing, brutal fire raced towards him in a flash and with his legs trapped there was nothing Nasu could do but watch in horror. Crouching down behind his arms trying to expose as little skin as possible Nasu waited. It didn’t take long for the flames to reach him.
Within a fraction of a second the ice that had held him in it’s deathly grip was melted, then evaporated. He could feel the blood on his body, burn, boil, then evaporate much as the water had. The only thing that saved his immediate life was the blast wave. The force of the fire being thrown at him was enough to throw Nasu backwards his body skimming across the ocean like an expertly thrown pebble. Adrenaline did everything it could but the human body is only designed to cope with so much pain and agony didn’t just seep through, it burst in assaulting every nerve ending he had and leaving his jacket and his arms a scarred smoking outline.
Finally his body came to a stop what could be feet away, what could be miles. He lost track. But he was lying on soft dirt with water pooling around him. He shut his eyes, just for a second, just to get ahold of himself.
He would have lost consciousness right there had it not been for the pain. Nasu did everything to try and move but he couldn’t, no part of his body responded to his mental commands. He lay there quietly, peacefully as he heard the footsteps approaching.
****
So this was it. This was how the Prince of Saiyan’s dies. On some pathetic rock on the planet next to his home. Looking up towards the sky the storm blocked his view of the moon, he wouldn’t even be given one last chance to see his home, to say goodbye.
Finally the stranger stood over him, “I told you I would stop you…no matter what….” he said and the words echoed in Nasu’s head. They infuriated him, this arrogant, self righteous prick thinks he can stop me. His power shot upward for a fraction of a second and he could see the strangers eyes widen.
He needed to be stronger, he needed to be able to defend himself. To right this, to not be made a fool of so close to home! He would not die a weakling in a pool of his own blood! He would live!
Nasu’s aura previously gone flashed gold around him. The power inside him swelled and burst to life in an explosion of golden energy as his super saiyan strength returned to him. His body hurt like nothing he’d ever felt before but he would live, he would fight. His energy crackled with electricity all around him. With a hard thought Nasu took control of the electricity as he had done countless times before. This time however he coated his entire body in the lightning raising and slapping his hand on the ground into a puddle he could see went all the way to wear the man was standing over him. He was rewarded with a shrill scream of pain and shock and stood to see the man’s body convulsing out of his control. There was an odd sense of ironic karma. The human had used his techniques to repeatedly take control of Nasu’s powers away from him. Now Nasu used his techniques to take control of the man’s body from him.
He went to race forward pulling the sword from his sheathe determined to finish the bastard off only to find that his sword was broken. He had lost the end of it in the man’s arm already. Instead he threw it forward in front of him never breaking off his charge as the man came to his feet.
Kuro managed to block the sword knocking it off to the side with a casual backhand but the motion left him exposed and Nasu threw a right hook coated with the electricity that covered his entire body sending the prick flying back towards the town they had left.
Not wanting to give the man any time to retaliate Nasu flew high into the air above the small town. Below he could see residents trying desperately to put out fires or save injured family. Their quiet night destroyed in a flash.
Putting both hands in front of his body he gathered energy, condensing it tighter and tighter into a tinier and tinier ball until the attack was formed.
“BIG BANG ATTACK!” He screamed his throat raw from the exertion as he let the blast go towards the town. No one would live to attest to the Prince’s near defeat. Everyone who could bear witness would die in a freak explosion…
Suddenly the man was there. His hands were out in front of him his feet planted firmly. The stranger had grabbed Nasu’s attack. He was holding onto the Big Bang attack and even though the force was pushing him back the energy blast was slowing…
Nasu stared in disbelief, this couldn’t be happening. What was this man made of? What was he? For a moment the energy around the ki blast flared and the man’s coat blew backwards like a cape caught in a strong wind and Nasu’s senses were flooded with pure power as for the first time the man’s energy was visible to him, and in that brief moment he understood who he was fighting for the first time. An equal.
It was with that in mind Nasu looked on breath caught in his throat as the man struggled against all odds to stop his attack from killing an entire town’s worth of people. As the man struggled to save the lives he had tried to abandon earlier. But this wasn’t a story for heros. The ground under him muddy and soggy from the torrential storm above betrayed him at the same time his wounded arm gave out. The blast almost stopped a moment before began to fall but Kuro’s remaining good arm managed to both push the attack off to one side and his body the other.
But still when the blast hit the ground a moment later the explosion was deafening. Hovering in the air hundreds of feet above Nasu still had to cover his eyes to prevent himself from being blinded as for the first time since the fight began the city below them was utterly silent. No one moved, no one screamed or cried. People didn’t beg for help,or for their lives, there was no one left. Only silence and the sound of rain.
The quiet air was broken only a moment later as a pile of rubble began to move…
“No” Nasu whispered quietly to himself.
Before the words fully left his lips the stranger was rising to his feet. His previously white coat was now covered in red. His face and arms had what looked like drawings lines of lightning running down them. Each bolt a scarlet red where his blood had left a trail and continued to flow freely.
He was mostly dead, but then again, so was Nasu…
If he didn’t hate the man standing in a mile away in front of him he could almost come to respect him. Despite pain and overwhelming odds everytime he got knocked down he stood back up. “and then just when things looked bleakest he would rise up. With one last push, one more burst of god like effort the hero would overcome insurmountable obstacles and emerge victorious”...
It was time to end this story. Nasu disappeared in a flash racing towards the man. He would end it. One way or another he would end this and the man would die.
Once again electricity flowed through Nasu’s veins. It coated his body giving his golden aura a blueish tinge as he flew at top speed towards the stranger staggering to his feet. The man was ready hands up to defend himself but Nasu surprised him one last time. Instead of trying to land a punch or a kick Nasu flew right through him. His left shoulder connecting firmly with the man’s rib cage, his arm wrapping around the bastard’s stomach picking him up and flying with him all the while electricity coursed from Nasu’s aura into his opponent.
The man’s body began to twitch violently like a puppet having it’s strings jerked in every direction but Nasu held on. Finally his target was in site.
The ocean stood in front of them and with a quick motion Nasu moved the man’s body till he was in a bear hug still sending volt after volt directly into the man’s already soaking wet skin. Already stopping and frying organs better than any electric chair. But Nasu wasn’t done. Flying along the coast Nasu lowered his altitude until the man’s head was underwater. He flew low both electrocuting and drowning the man whos only crime was trying to do what was right.
Nasu flew along the ocean for a full minute making sure the man was fully drowned, then two minutes, then three. He would make sure no one could stand up from this. Not even his sister.
His aura abruptly faded. His golden energy gave out entirely and his hair returned to pitch black. The waves of electricity that had been pouring from his body ceased as he no longer had any energy left to support them. Against his will the body in his arms began to slip out as he no longer had the strength to hold it up. Finally slowly the man slipped beneath the waves.
Nasu’s body jerked from exhaustion struggling to stay in the air. Bobbing and weaving like a drunkard he managed to crash land into the shore a moment later. The sand was softer than concrete but it coated his burned arms sending a nauseating wave of pain through him that brought another feral scream to his lips.
Slowly, so so slowly he pushed himself to one knee, then to his feet. Hands on his knees for support he stared into the ocean. Into the final grave for his toughest opponent yet.
“Well fought.” he said quietly letting the wind carry the words to the man’s spirit in the other world.

The water engulfed his body and it began slowly swallow it to the depths below. His breathing had stopped and the air began to escape from his mouth causing bubbles to drift to the surface. It was over and he had finally met his end. The combination of the sea water and the immense electrical current was more than enough to finally end the life of the prodigy of the Muzai. Fate though saw to it though that this would not be the final moments of Kurosanai. His heart began to beat again as if started by an unseen force. In reality the electricity had merely stopped his heart for a moment and not permanently. Buoyancy began to carry the young man’s body to the surface until it broke the plane of water with his head briefly facing up towards the sky. The rain pattering on his face was enough to begin to stir him causing his lungs take a deep breath in slowly. Luckily his lungs had not begun to fill with water yet and relieved him the pain of coughing up the salty liquid. The waves crashed on the shore driven by anger of being gnashed at by the two combatants.
Carried by the current Kurosanai was flipped over, so he was facedown, to the shore. The water crashed over his body as his face was ground up against the sand. The Saiyan stared down at him for a moment with his hands on his knees. He muttered something under his breath that Kurosanai could not hear and then with a grunt kicked Kuro in the shoulder. He stumbled backwards and cursed under his breath. Luckily the electricity had actually short circuited his feeling of any pain sensation. Turning on his heel the murdered began to hobble towards the direction of the town. Springing to life Kuro shot out with his left arm. Caught off guard by the ploy the Saiyan did not have any chance to react properly. The prodigy’s left hand wrapped around the kneecap. Immediately his hand began to chill and drop drastically in temperature. First the pant’s fabric would begin to grow a white tinge them, then rigid but it was the skin below that was truly the sight to see. First it would turn blue as the blood fled from the joint, into a purple shade as blood began to be trapped and freeze in place. This would only be the first true moment of pain, it would be piercing and then into a burning. Quickly feeling in everything below his kneecap would go from burning pain to complete numbness as the skin turned black. The cold would seep to the bone before the feeling was lost.
The Saiyan yelled in pain as the moment occurred. It appeared that he was too exhausted to ascend into what appeared to be his Super Saiyan transformation. His first rained down on Kuro as the kneecap became more and more solid like it was made purely of ice. The punches hit him in the head and shoulders but the determination to finally end this willed the human through the pain. The Saiyan realizing he was not going to let go of the leg pushed off in the opposite direction and instinctively Kurosanai pulled the opposite direction. All he heard was a loud crack and the tension between the two seemed to disappear. When he looked down to see what was in his hand he could almost not believe it.
Everything from the kneecap down of the Saiyan’s right leg was in his hand.
The Saiyan let out a bellow as he crashed to the ground with his hand clutching at now was the frozen nub that was his leg. Surely he could not have felt any pain from the actual severing due to the freezing but rather the shock alone was prolonging the scream. No more curses. No more insults. Only screaming.
It left the human unsure of what to do next. Thankfully the Saiyan provided the next move. Out of probably what was reaction his arm shot upwards and launched a ki blast. Without even thinking Kuro tossed the leg into it causing a small explosion between the two. While it was true that the Saiyan could not get to his Super Saiyan transformation it was also apparently true that Kurosanai could not ascend to his own equivalent. He was only able to get to the power of roughly that he started with at the beginning of the fight in the bar (Adrenaline Rush). The ki blast though seemed to snap the prodigy of the Muzai out of the daze that he had been in and immediately he leapt high into the air. Once he was about fifteen feet up he descended like a rock driving his good knee into the chest of the Saiyan who let out a hard gasp as the air rushed from his lungs.
He needed to end this fight. That was the only thought running through the prodigy’s head. He had already lost nearly all function in his right arm due to the sword shard still lodged within, his leg was more than likely broken and he was at nearly wits end. What made things even more absurdly annoying was that due to Kuro getting so caught up in the fight he had given up on the idea of trying to get his training weights out of his clothing. Luckily the extra weight was an advantage that he was going to take full advantage of at the moment. The Saiyan’s telekinesis seemed to kick in as he was suddenly thrown through the air. As the human rolled to a stop he saw the Saiyan attempting to fly although it was far from graceful as he tried to balance himself.
Wasting little time Kuro sprung back toward him with a hard left followed by knee to the solar plexus. Only the left would find its mark as the Saiyan seemingly ate the strike only to wait for the prodigy to get in close. A ki blast erupted from his hand that slammed hard into the human’s chest. The explosion sent him flying back through several pillars of rock that had been ejected from the Earth. When he looked up he was shocked to see the Saiyan was brave enough try and engage him in close combat. That only resulted poorly as Kuro threw he right arm up, which had become little more than a limp noodle, and a wave of fire roared straight into his face. What damage it caused was probably minimal as his arms had been able to cover his face. However that was not the intended action, what happened next was. The Saiyan crashed face forward into the ground before rolling several times. As he happened to pop up he saw Kurosanai pulling back a kick. Then as if his head was a soccer ball Kuro drove his foot into his face snapping his head back with sickening force. Kuro could hear the cracking nose of what was either his nose or possibly some part of the his face.
A descending hand grabbed the Saiyan by the shirt and lifted him into the air with a quick yank. While he seemingly hung in the air Kuro drove his elbow into the sternum of the Saiyan spiking him right back down into the ground. He coughed several times only to have it cut off by Kuro press his boot down on his throat. This elicited a ki blast to come soaring back upwards causing him to fall back and granting the Saiyan the opportunity to scramble to his foot up against another rock face for support. Viciousness surged over Kurosanai as he followed closely behind the Saiyan. When he turned back around he would be greeted by a hard left elbow to the face which snapped his head to the side, this was followed up by a back fist and then a left to the jaw. Using all the willpower he could, Kuro summoned enough strength to his right arm to place his hand on the man’s throat. It was little more than a brace as punch after punch began to rain down on the Saiyan. Left after left after left rammed into his face. Each one only seemingly making his face more bloody and swollen than it already was.
Kuro could not let this man walk away from this not for all of the destruction that he had caused here today to not only the town but also the human. No one had ever beaten Kuro like this not even Sebastian. Igniting flames in his hand he went to strike the final blow and melt away the blight this man was to the universe. But as his hand rose up and the flame read to eat away an image passed before his eyes. The screaming terror of Arpatiko snuck into his mind. Watching him burn and bubble as the intense flames took the creature’s life and then to that of Sebastian as he watched Kurosanai prepare to kill him. The Cardinal had harmed those in his party and only then to know that he had won. It was enough to take the prodigy out of the fight long enough. Feeling a sudden energy spike from in front of him he snapped back to reality. But it was too late. The Saiyan’s hand shot upwards and at his right eye. His fingers slipped in forcefully from just along the tear duct tearing the inner eyelid. With a quick jerk of motion the hand slipped behind the eyeball, severing the optic nerves and then ripping out towards the temple. As he exited the eye socket he managed to tear the skin for approximately an inch and half away from the face leaving what looked like a small explosion like design.
First came the pain of the initial strike but it was nothing compared to what came next. It was unbearable and frankly if there was anything in Kurosanai’s stomach it would have been forcibly ejected in that moment. His right hand fell away from the man’s throat and the flames went out in front of his left one. Sinking to his knees his hands went to his face as he felt blood begin to roll down his cheek as everything remained just a pitch black void for half of his surroundings. Then came the agonizing scream that seemed to reach out to the very heavens. All strength in the boy’s body seemed to begin to rapidly disappear as he continued to scream his voice hoarse. His lungs burned as the world became blurry and began to spin. Turning his head to the side his saw something lying on the ground and at first he could not tell initially what it was. Unfortunately it only seemed to become all too clear. It was his eye gently resting on the ground.
“Game…” The man’s voice spoke softly yet confidently. “Set…” The man’s foot rose above the eyeball that had actually rolled to the side allowing Kurosanai to see the pupil staring back at him. “Match.” His foot came stomping down on the eye destroying it in an instant. That was the final straw for the prodigy. His remaining eye glazed over and the strength fully evaporated from his body. He lurched forward as his body crashed against the ground limp. He drifted into the world of unconsciousness as the man was left standing over him.
Kurosanai had failed, he had lost.

There are only so many times you can say you’re going to die and it still has any meaning. He had tried everything. And he had failed. Every trick, every clever deception was all for nothing. He had thought, he was sure, he was going to die so many times during the fight with the powerless stranger that by now he had accepted his death already. He had already gone through all the emotional roller coasters involved with life and death so many times it almost felt bland.
He watched as the killing blow came and he tried to react. He was a Saiyan to his core and he would not go down without a fight. But he knew he wasn’t going to be in time and he accepted the end. But then something miraculous happened.
The man paused.
It wasn’t long, but it was long enough. Nasu’s hand a moment before trying to block a fatal strike lashed out like a snake strike, ripping the boy’s eye from his face.
Screams filled the silence as the boy fell and Nasu staggered needing to stay on his one good leg, needing to stay conscious. Looking down he noticed the man had actually burned his leg so badly when he removed it he cauterized the wound for him. Nasu was in no immediate danger of bleeding to death while his foe writhed on the ground agony of body and mind finally too much for the man to bear.
Nasu dropped the eye in front of the man’s head.
“Game.”
He hovered off the ground over it.
“Set.”
His body came down with a sickening squish. Crushing the man’s eye right in front of him.
“Match.” he said and and he could see the look of horror in the boy’s face. The look of despair was like food to a starving man for Nasu and it gave him the strength he lacked moments ago. Feet hovering off the ground he levitated towards the fallen using his telekinesis to steady himself.
Bending over he picked the boy up with one by the throat. He looked into the child’s remaining eye but so no recognition. The boy had finally lost consciousness.
With his spare hand Nasu reached into his jacket and pulled out a small knife. With a quick slash he slit the strangers throat. The red smile from ear to ear before he dropped him into the mud to weep out his life’s blood forever anonymous to the world. *****
Nasu shook his head as he let the fantasy slide from his mind. This boy had power, power beyond anything Nasu had ever fought before. And he wanted it!
The power seemed to stem from his eyes. A cursory look around showed him nothing. The storm was winding down but the rain was still enough he couldn’t find any buildings left standing. His senses were another matter. Less than a mile off he could feel a building. He could feel weak energy sources being rushed in and out rapidly.
A hospital.
A wicked smile played across the Saiyan’s face as he took off into the air. His grip on the earth boy never weakening.
A moment later Nasu landed the boy still gripped by the throat. He hovered into the building slowly blood dripping down his entire body looking like branches of a massive tree, the boy equally beaten. There are entrances. And then, there are ENTRANCES.
Within seconds the hospital staff was buzzing, running towards them and prepping a pair OR rooms. He could hear them paging two doctors over the intercom when the first nurse tried to take the body from his grasp and thanked him for bringing him in.
She paid for her assumption with her life. A quick backhand snapped her neck and sent the hospital from productivity to screaming terror. Anyone who tried to run past him was quickly shot down. He didn’t have an abundance of power left but he had more than enough to kill every man, woman and child here if they didn’t shut the fuck up and listen.
Finally he reached the PA system the nurse had used to call the doctor. He pointed to one of the nurses who had been too terrified to try and flee earlier and pointed to the PA system.
“You. You’re going to tell them what I want, and in exchange you keep your life.”
Only minutes later he was in an operating room with two doctors over him and the unconscious boy on a table next to him.
“You want his eye?” the doctor asked again as if this time the answer would be any different.
“Yes.” Nasu responded through gritted teeth.
“And neither of you is to have any kind of anestetics?” he asked and Nasu had finally had enough. He reached out with his mind taking the scalpel from the doctors hand and slitting his own throat.
“Any other questions?” he asked looking around the room.
It took hours. It took hours of pain unlike anything Nasu had ever experienced before in his life. But finally it was completed. He had the eye. Looking over there was no heartbeat on the monitor for the boy he had fought and who had taken so much from him.
This was not how the boy was supposed to die finally. Not on a table but to Nasu’s fists! The child’s death left him feeling empty, no accomplishment had been gained from this. Instead he left him there on the table grabbing the nurse he had spoken to earlier by the back of the neck and grabbing a number of oxygen tanks as he hovered out the front door.
Finally he was out in the air again. The rain had stopped but everything was wet on this godforsaken planet. With a toss he threw the pure Oxygen tank back into the hospital pointing a hand and with barely any ki necessary igniting it in a massive explosion blowing off the front end of the hospital.
Doctors, nurses and patients alike stumbled out. Running like ants from the burning building, in the back of the building he heard another explosion, another generator or oxygen tank must have been caught up in the fire.
One by one he killed every person who left the building, he waited ten minutes sure that no one could survive the fire longer than that.
Finally he turned to the lone nurse standing by his side. She was shaking but no tears fell down her face. There was too much shock for that. He could see in her eyes the woman was in shock and he sighed knowing what he said next would only make it worse. But in exchange she kept her life.
“No one will ever know. You saw what happened. If you tell anyone. Ever. I will know. I will find you. And no force in heaven or hell will be able to save you. You will die screaming, do you understand?” he asked, it was all a bit melodramatic but he needed to get through the shock to reach this woman.
He had to ask again but finally the woman met his eyes and nodded. That was the best he could do for now. Inch by inch Nasu floated back through the town now full of nothing but the dead. All the way to where he first landed on this hellspawn planet. Back to his ship. He was going home.

Post by Kurosanai Muzai on Apr 10, 2015 17:00:13 GMT -5
The pain rippled through his head causing him to shoot upwards. His eyes searched the area around him and he was shocked to see where he was. He no longer stood on the island that he had been fighting the Saiyan. Now he stood within the white void that Fujin had made his home since their first encounter. Kurosanai searched everywhere for the ancestor and former leader of the clan but there was no sign of him. The prodigy of the Muzai turned on his heel searching the void for any sign of life but there was not a single one. Suddenly a wave of pain shot through his skull that was so great that it drove him down to his knee. His hand shot upward to his right eye as his breath grew short. His chest heaved and fell as his heart raced. Footsteps could be heard through the void. They were simple and solid. Each sound penetrated the void like a sharp knife. Each step seemed to send a small wave of dull pain through Kurosanai’s body. The boy turned towards the footsteps to find that his ancestor was slowly approaching.
“What is going on here…?” Kurosanai asked through the pain. He struggled to rise to his feet but each time he attempted to the pain immediately drove him back down to his knees. Fujin continued on, not saying a word and with a stone glare that would have penetrated a mountain. The silence only began to frustrate Kurosanai as he repeatedly attempted to rise to his feet. After several agonizing attempts the prodigy managed to rise to his feet with his hand still over his right eye one he did he turned Fujin stood about six feet away from the young Muzai. “Are you going to tell me what is going on right now?” Kurosanai barked through the pain.
Fujin’s stare was one of a cold layer of stern. His eyes blazed with his Aoiro no Tsuisata as Kurosanai stared at the founder of the modern Muzai. His simple attire adorned his frame like normal but the entire feeling of the void seemed different from any time he had been here before. That included the time that he had been pulled into it during his fight with Sebastian. The stood in silence as the pain continued to mount in Kurosanai’s skull. Eventually Kurosanai went to speak only to be cut off by Fujin.
“Do you realize what you have done?” Fujin asked with a voice that only permeated the soul with a sense of frost.
“What are you talking about?”
“Are you so stupid that you cannot remember what happened in the real world?” Fujin said as Kurosanai began to feel his power slowly rising. Before he had a chance to answer the images began to flood back to the young prodigy. The Saiyan’s hand shooting outwards towards his eyes, the sharp excruciating pain and then nothing but darkness. His hands began to tremble as he could not believe what had happened. “I take it you see your failure now. How pathetic can you be to let someone steal your eye from your fucking skull?” Fujin barked.
“I…I don’t…know what happened…” Kuros stuttered. A cold sensation began to roll down his cheek which caused his left hand to reach out and touch it. When he moved his hand back into view he saw that his fingertips were coated in blood. This only seemed to send his heart rate skyrocketing past what was probably a healthy level. The blood only seemed to continue to roll down his cheek as his panicked eye looked to Fujin. What he saw was only malice and hatred.
“I gave you all the knowledge of my fighting style. I gave you power. I gave you the Aoiro no tsuisata that you have now proceeded to lose.” Each passing sentence only raised in volume. Fujin’s face contorted with hatred as his hand snapped downwards. As it did a new wave of pain struck Kurosanai like a weight that sent him crashing down to his knees. “YOU ARE NOTHING BUT INCOMPETENCE PERSONIFIED!” The words thundered through the void as it began to shift. Kuro’s eyes caught sight of patches of black beginning to form that before spreading with a glimmer of orange at the edges. These spots began to spread and the white void began to spit burning ash down like rain. “YOU THINK YOU DESERVE TO REPRESENT ME, TO DON MY NAME AND POWER!” Fujin stepped forward and drove his foot into the chest of Kurosanai and sent him clattering to the ground. The pain only increased to the point that Kurosanai was left paralyzed and on the brink of screaming.
Fujin stepped over the boy’s chest before pressing down on his throat. Kurosanai began to squirm as he struggled to come to a position that would allow him to breathe. It was futile though as he stared up as his ancestor. Rage exuded from him and his power only kept rising, it left the prodigy wondering how powerful was Fujin during his prime when he was alive? Bending down the world continued to burn away around the two and the pain only continued to grow.
“You will be left broken and lost. You will be lost in the dark from now until the end of eternity. I will make sure of it.” Fujin spoke as his right hand extended outwards towards his one good eye. Kurosanai struggled to get away but there was nowhere to go. The world only continued to burn away into darkness as the only audible sound to emerge was a single solitary scream from the young prodigy.

The Saiyan’s hand let go of the nurse’s neck letting her fall to the ground. Never had she though that she would end up staring down the image of a super saiyan. They had been considered an impossible since the Saiyan’s rebirth centuries ago. She had heard tales of the great strength and power of the super saiyans. Never though did she ever expect to add the words tyranny and brutality to it. Her grandfather spoke of great warriors on Earth and the Moon, it was abundantly clear that he left out the other side of the coin. As the Saiyan drifted away the nurse stood in awe and horror as she watched the once prized institution she had worked at for the last five years. Internally she was scared beyond belief but knew that she could not try and help anyone she could. She had no idea how many could have been spared in the man’s brutal massacre but if she could at least save one person then it was better than none.
Turning over her shoulder she checked to make sure the Saiyan was gone before charging headlong into the flaming building. She wasn’t thinking, only her body moved as she was instantly greeted by the furnace the hospital had become. Smoke filled and darkened the air as fire spread its all-consuming claws. The woman bent low and put her hand over her mouth in order to keep the smoke away. Her feet moved swiftly over the red stained floor as she dodged the bodies that were strewn across it. Friends and longtime colleagues lay lifeless due to the man’s brutality. Patients were murdered in their bed with medical equipment still connected to their now lifeless corpses. The nurse continued to climb into the flaming building with hopes that she would come across a single soul that she could save.
It would not be until she went to climb to the twelfth floor in the stair well that she saw that the fates would no longer let her climb higher. An inferno sprung out from the doorway and appeared to climb all the way up to the top floor about another ten stories higher. Her heart raced as debris began to come crashing downwards with a quick movement she leapt back through the doorway to the eleventh floor as the debris proceeded to block the doorway. Her eyes were left searching for an escape as her rescue attempt had appeared to be futile. Springing to her feet she began to run down the hallway when she heard the clatter of equipment smashing against the ground. She knew it could have been due to the hospital burning but something deep in her soul told her to check on it. She crashed through the doors to the OR where she found a team of surgeons smote where they once stood. The nurse had no clue who had made the sound until she saw the slightest of movement. A patient still lay on the operating table, his hand moved slowly as he tried to feel what was going on around him. The most striking feature of the man was not the blood that covered his body but rather the bandages that had been wrapped around his head covering his eyes. This was the man that had been brought in by the Saiyan.
Kurosanai groaned as he begun to wake from the near endless sleep he had been put into. Pain throbbed through his body and he could not seem to be able to open his eyes. The prodigy was left helpless and blinded by the darkness that spread out in front of him. He barely had any energy to move his body and even if he did his limbs refused to answer his commands fully. He had no function in his right arm and the pain from his right leg told him that even if it did answer there was no way that it was going to be over any use to him. The heat in the room was increasing to temperatures that he had not felt since the battle of Belegost. His lungs burned from the heat and the smoke that had begun to cling to the room. Coughing hard the prodigy attempted to sit up but only managed to flip over off of the surface he had been laying on. The thud against the floor took what little air was in his lungs out of it as his face rested in some kind of liquid which compared to the floor was cool and refreshing. A hand pressed down on his back as he felt the presence of a person appear from out of nowhere.
The nurse could not believe that the man was even moving based on the damage his body had on it. The damage was somewhat consistent to what she had seen from accidents or atrociously brutal fights. Had this man been fighting the Saiyan? She quickly dismissed the thought as she clamored over the equipment that was on the floor. If he still drew breath she was going to do everything in her power to save him. As she pressed her hand to his back she could tell almost immediately that this man was going to die without proper medical treatment. The best that she was going to be able to do was stabilize him once they were outside and pray that help arrived soon.
“Stay still. I am going to help you get out of here.” She said in the calmest voice she could muster. The man only let out a groan in response as it appeared he slipped by into unconsciousness. It was then that she heard a crack and buckling. It came in a manner that wasn’t from something small but rather catastrophically big. Looking up she saw the ceiling buckle and then let loose. Everything came down in a thundering roar as the force of the downward debris caused the floor beneath them to give as well. The hospital fell silent as only the all-consuming fire roared onward. Suddenly from beneath the debris pile movement sprung to life. Debris fell off to the side as what looked like two white tusks emerged. The source of these tusks was actually the woman’s shoulder. No one knew but this nurse was not actually human but rather a member of a near extinct race of alien, the Hone Akuma. Through panting the woman pushed away the debris that had tried to consume both of them. She was far beyond the strength of a normal human, but she was not brought up to use her racial abilities and they left her exhausted. Thankfully adrenaline allowed her to push on as she strung the man over her shoulder. He was not going to die as long as she still drew breath.
The smoke woke the prodigy once again as he let out a hard cough. Though he could not see he could hear everything around him with sickening detail. The moisture that resided in the stone of the building due to the rain was being burnt away and sucked dry. His feet dragged on the ground as he heard whoever was carrying him panting hard. Kurosanai had no idea what was going on but instinctively he tried to move to help the woman, he refused to be a liability. But as he tried it actually caused the woman to stumble. “Please don’t move. We are almost free. I just need you to hang on a little longer.” Her voice although ragged and forcibly calmed reeked of panic. The two carried on for what felt like forever as the room only grew hotter and hotter. Eventually they came to a stop and the woman’s breath picked up. “Listen we are going to have to jump from where we are. I should be able to do it but in order to do so I am going to have to pick you up. I don’t know how much you can feel right now but it could be agonizing.”
“Okay…” Kurosanai weakly answered. He felt the woman begin to shift the prodigy before he felt the woman’s hands clasp around his leg which caused him to cry out in pain. The Muzai breathed heavy and he fought every instinct to flail. The ground began to bounce as the woman got a running start before he heard the shattering of glass and the feeling of air roaring past his ears. The two plunged through the darkness in the free fall until they both hit the ground with a painful thud. The landing caused the prodigy to bounce out of her arms and hop a few times across the ground causing him to let out another yell of pain.
The nurse breathed heavily as her lungs were filled with fresh air once again. She turned back to the building as it continued to burn. The smell of burning flesh was finally spreading the air as the bodies within the building’s confines began to sizzle and burn due to the fire’s heat. It was a disgusting smell that almost made her stomach turn. The sight that the two had landed in after jumping from the eighth floor of the hospital was not much better. Bodies littered the ground as their blood spread through the pooling water from the rain storm that had settled on the town for the last two days. Fighting back tears the woman staggered to her feet as she felt sharp pains crying out from all around her body. Without looking down she knew they were various sections of burns and cuts from exploring through the hospital. The man continued to cry out in pain as he lay in the mud with the rain falling on his face. Staggering over she lifted the boy up and carried him over to a small rock over hang that was located about fifteen yards from the burning building. For the first time since they had met she set the boy down gently on the ground propping him up against the wall of rock.
“Wh…where am I?” The boy stammered as the nurse went to work trying to stabilize him so that he would not die after all of the work that she had just gone through.
“You are safe now. Just try to relax and stay still.” The nurse answered back through panting as she struggled to get a hold of her own heart rate. The tusks that had protruded from her shoulders had broken away when the two had clattered to the ground outside.
“I can’t see…is there something covering my eyes...?” The boy asked as he did his best to resist pulling away from her treatment. The nurse was not sure how to respond to it. The boy had been missing one eye when he was brought into the hospital from what she had heard and the fact that both his eyes were bandaged did not bode well for the prospect that the other still remained in the boy’s custody.
The silence was all Kurosanai needed to confirm his worst fears. The nurse continued to tend to the wounds that scattered across his body but the greatest pain was coming from where his eyes were…or rather where they once were. All strength seemed to evaporate from his body as his head fell backwards against and a sigh left his lungs. The once great power that he felt flowing through his veins were gone and it appeared would not be coming back. The very feeling of being connected with his ancestor was completely gone. With his eyes lost so was his connection to the great power his family once boasted. The sound of the fire rampaging off in the distance with the rain was enough to cover the deafening silence that was between the woman and himself.
“How…how many died because of my failure?” Kurosanai ask. He felt the woman stop for a moment as she tried to think of something to tell the young man.
“I don’t know…you were the only one I found…” The woman replied softly. She was tired, he didn’t blame her as he was tired, and he could only imagine the scene that no surrounded them. The Saiyan had utterly beaten him and stole the most valuable things to him. No doubt he had thought about taking his life but for whatever reason was tricked or fooled into thinking he was already dead. He wanted to cry on some level but the tear refused to answer as his chest rose and fell. His left hand clenched into a fist as he let the nurse continue working on him.
It would be about forty minutes until the military arrived. Dozens of carriers hummed through the stormy skies. When they touched down the soldiers could not believe the carnage they were looking at. Bodies were tossed and draped everywhere. Only the rain filled the air with noise as the soldiers began to clear the area one building at a time. They found nothing as far as signs of life were concerned. Whispers began to form as they were unsure of what could have caused this level of destruction. Up the road a unit would slowly clear the area until they came upon the smoldering corpse of the hospital with dozens of bodies savagely butchered in front of it. The soldiers would snap to combat readiness when the nurse emerged from the outcropping of rock. She was covered in mud and blood and begged for help. Medics rushed to her aid but she deferred them over to the young Muzai that rested against the wall. The fact that Kuro still drew breath was miracle based on the amount of blood that he had been losing. The medics tried to stir the young prodigy but he would not answer them verbally. He squeezed their hand to let them know that he was still alive and conscious. Quickly they called in a smaller carrier in which gently touched down on the area outside of the cave. The medics gingerly laid Kurosanai down on a back board before strapped him down for transport.
The team would load the young warrior onto the small transport as they ushered the nurse on as well. During the trip from the shelter they had taken to the ship Kurosanai heard the soldiers saying that these were the only two people they had found alive. They talked in hushed whispers about how this reminded them of stories of during the Earth Civil war between Burradori and that of Vector. The door quickly shut and the engines hummed to life before lifting off the ground.
The nurse stared out the window of the small transport ship they were placed in. The town had been devastated by the Saiyan and it was nightmarish at the destruction that surrounded them. She turned to see the young man lying there silently as the medical team set up their equipment and began taking readings. For whatever reason she reached out and grabbed his right hand, she was surprised by the feeling of him attempted to close his hand around hers.
“What…what…is your name?” the man croaked as he still struggled to speak to due to the damage in his lungs.
“My name?” She had been so focused on saving the young man’s life that she never thought to give her name or get his. “Ummm…my name is Milis, Milis Knochen. Yours?” She replied with her strength flickering in her voice.
“Kuro…sanai…” The man responded. Seeing the boy struggle to exchange the pleasantries of names was so painful. Every breath he took it appeared that he was filled with pain.
“That is a very nice name; your mother had good taste.” She laughed nervously. But no laugh was returned by the man, in fact no sound at all. The fact that the medical team did not jump into action meant to her that he was not in any danger and probably passed out again.
“Thank you…” The words came so unexpectedly to her that she nearly jumped. “Thank…you…for saving…me…” The boy after this noticeably drifted into the realm of unconsciousness. The sight of Kurosanai thanking her while he was in the condition she was in was too much to bear. Her hand darted to her mouth and tears began to roll down her face. Taking a deep breath in Milis could no longer contain her pain. Forcing herself away she stared out the window. Things had changed. So much was gone, so many lives lost and so much pain dealt.
‘Today…the gods forsaken us…’
