It was after he had received the artificial limbs from Bran and meeting with Kami to discuss becoming his apprentice that Conri would head towards his ship for a round of training. There was a specific opponent that he wanted to fight against with his new found power and he planned to make the most of it while he could. Flying towards the main continent he remembered the location of the farmhouse he grew up in without a problem. With a loud thump he landed just outside and walked towards the entrance of the ship as his father came out of the house. However, with the lifting of his hand he told the old man to stay where he was, because he had his opponent for today and boy was he ready to kick some ass. Conri was ready for some payback against the arrogant SOB that had kicked his ass in the simulator the last time.
As he entered the training room he pressed a few quick buttons to set the gravity to fifty times the normal of Earth's and then bring up the program from last time excluding the three distractions. This time their setting would be a normal city with empty buildings and plenty of things for him to throw at a bastard. As the world constructed itself the distance that they would start away from each other was set quite far, he didn't want it to be that easy to find him. That had been his thought train anyways, but he saw that the man was coming straight for him as soon as the battle started. If he was expecting it to be just as easy as the last time then he was in for a rude awakening, before he could get close Conri drew in his emotions focusing on the anger, helplessness, and sadness at everything he had experience on Mement Mor.
With the release of emotions also came a flood of power that was familiar for him, as a golden aura swirled up around his figure ushering with it a whole new Conri Lane. Grey eyes becoming a sharp emerald color while his hair changed to match the aura, spiking with the sudden surge of power as well. The final shift was that of his physique, the muscles that were normally less noticeable suddenly bulged into existence with the overflowing power that erupted from the depths of his soul. Now he was ready to face off against the man that declared himself to be the real Conri Lane, and with a burst of speed he took to the air heading straight towards his opponent. Both warriors had their resolve set to fight it out to the fullest and to commemorate that they didn't deviate from their course, essentially playing a game of chicken. Neither would flinch and neither would move out of the way, both going full speed with their full power flaring brightly. They were evenly matched with Conri's heavy weights and the man using his full power as well, and when they collided the simulated world felt it to the very core.
The collision itself seemed to shake the air and the ground with the impact their heads meeting with such a horrific sound. At the same time a shockwave propagated from the point of impact with enough power to level several of the city's blocks with ease. As they both were launched in opposite directions and dropped to the ground where they faced off once more, the man across from him was grinning like a manic after the headbutt. Just what the hell was there to grin about? Tch, this guy was pissing him off again, but at least this time he had the power to wipe that smug expression off of his face. The distance between them was filled with an eerie silence as they both first battled with their wills and minds, trying to decide who would be the victory. The downside was that they were both alike and got bored with that, kicking up more dust as the distance was closed and thunder echoed throughout the man made canyon. Punches whose speed exceeded the hypersonic barrier continued to connect not only with each other but with the body of those they targeted. Had either of them not been so solidly built to withstand the level of blows they were exchanging their bodies would have been blown away from the sheer kinetic force delivered by each one.
“Ha ha ha ha ha, how's it feel to be living up to yer name kid? Enjoying the rush of power that's flowing through you and the fact that you can trade blows with me,” the way he spoke as if he understood what the Half-Saiyan experienced when he transformed or while he was in a battle. Was he trying to mess with his head or was he actually trying to give him some kind of a compliment? Either way he wasn't in the mood for it, this bastard was the one that nearly killed him the last time and right now he was a hurdle towards his future.
“I don't need your praise, I'm just going to beat you so that I can make sure I have the power necessary to protect people,” their attacks escalated in speed, but through his eyes neither of them were moving that much faster. To those that might not be as powerful as them it would look as the two were in slow motion, barely exchanging ten blows within a minute. The truth was that they had ascended to a speed where that minute was filled with hundreds of attacks being traded back and forth. The human threw his arm forward going for a corkscrew punch to amplify the power behind his fist, instead he was surprised to see that Conri had grabbed a hold of his wrist and twist it to put him in an awkward position that left the arm vulnerable. With his right hand he aimed to smash his opponent's elbow, instead he was caught in a similar trap that would have his arms twisted and brought to a painful angle. Well, he did have a counter to people trying to lock his own limbs, but it was going to be a bit painful for him as well. Without waiting he unleashed a powerful burst of lightning at point blank range electrocuting the other 'Conri' until he released the Half-Saiyan. When he was released he spun in a wide circle sending his feet right into the left side of his opponent and sent him launching away with a loud cracking noise.
“Don't compare me to you, I don't fight for the sake of fighting even with my Saiyan blood. I actually fight for a reason, and unlike you I can use that to overcome obstacles. I will do the same to you,” that was all this man was to him just an obstacle for him to have the power to protect those that he held dear. Keeping his mind focused on that he was unaware of the power that was surging forth from within, but without him grasping it the best it would due would be allow him to ignore some of the wounds that afflicted his body. Not ready to stop with that he charged ki into both hands before unleashing a powerful burst of rapid firing ki blasts that homed towards their target. The culmination of each Ki blast unleashed a fiery explosion that reduced an even greater number of buildings to rubble in an instant. This was another reason he needed to get strongest as well so that he could try to learn to control his Ki more, and prevent such wide spread destruction. Unfortunately, this form seemed to unhinge the restraint he could show normally, something that he still couldn't fully reign in. While he was thinking this he had given his opponent enough time to dig himself from the hole that had been made and the dust settling on top of it.
“Kid, I don't give a damn what you're fighting for, I just want a good fight from you. You also don't have to be from a race of nut jobs to enjoy a good battle. You can fight for whatever reason, but don't hold back in the real deal it'll cost you,” without another word he was in front of the Half-Saiyan, exchanging blows once more. Blocks, dodges, parries all done with the hands and feet, a true demonstration of the battle between these two titans of power. It was never enough for either though, they continued to punch faster, harder, and with more ferocity with each passing second until their bodies were being pushed to the point of breaking. Though he loathed to admit it, Conri was getting excited by this battle, his super saiyan form being pushed to the absolute limits of power, speed, endurance. This was a battle that he was looking to enjoy more, it had been a horrible defeat the last time that these two fought but now they were standing on a planet and shaking it to the core with their attacks.
If there had been inhabitants here he might not have been able to fight like this either, or maybe he would fight harder because of them? He was unsure of what would happen really, but right now it didn't matter either his body was utilizing the power it had to the utmost. That was when Conri realized that he wasn't accessing all of the power that the super saiyan form had buried within it. Holding up his hand for a moment to stop the battle, he wanted to figure this out so that he could unleash everything that he was storing inside of his body. When his opponent stopped and raised an eyebrow in confusion, he explained the situation to him, and asked him if he would mind waiting while he tried to draw out this latent power.
“Hey whatever makes this fight more fun for me, I'm all for it,” with that he took a seat in his exact spot, watching Conri and waiting to see what kind of power he could call forth from the depths of his soul. The Half-Saiyan on the other hand was unsure of how he was going to work this out, because this was the first time he had truly felt the power rumbling within his body. The super saiyan form had been triggered by emotion, was this something similar to that? Closing his eyes he tried to concentrate on his emotions to recreate a state when he first transformed, however, it didn't seem to work. It only boosted him to the highest point that he had already been fighting with in this training session. Over the next few minutes he would continue to try various methods to draw out the power that was sleeping within him, but it seemed that nothing was coming out. It didn't make sense, he knew it was there, it was the same feeling that he had when he was able to reach the super saiyan state in the first place! Why? Why couldn't he unlock this new power? His anger grew at his own inability, but it still did nothing for him, until he gave up with trying to access whatever power was supposed to be slumbering deep inside.
“Okay, that seemed fruitless, but at least it gave us a bit of a break, eh? Now, let's get back to kicking the crap out of each other,” not waiting for Conri to respond he launched forward and threw a rapid series of punches that comboed into a devastating attack. One that had caught the golden-haired warrior by surprise with him stuck thinking about how to reach the power inside of him. The attack had sent him flying through a few of the nearby buildings, and smacking his head into the wall of the last one. Though it had caused more damage to the wall than him, it had at least snapped his attention back to what was happening the pain from the attacks helped that as well. Lifting himself from the rubble of the building he shook off the pain and focused on what was right in front of him for the time being. Launching himself forward he returned to the battlegrounds where they had started this fight his arms glowing with a crimson shade of energy as he unleashed a power strike against the waiting human.
The attack had tried to been blocked, but the power behind it far surpassed the normal punches that Conri had been throwing up until now. The strike pushed its way passed the blocking arms and struck through to the chest of his opponent and sent him stumbling backwards. The power had been reduced somewhat by the block, but the power within his fists was still enough to cause damage and force the man away from his initial spot. It was something of a declaration to the man that was his enemy right now, that he would no longer be sticking to just mostly punches, while he had used his renzoku energy dan earlier this was a more clear indication of his determination. As an obstacle he needed to completely break the man down, otherwise this whole training was pointless in the first place. He didn't need to access more power to bring him down, what he needed to do was bring about his full power now, unleash all the techniques that he had learned up to this point.
The human was doing well in avoiding the attacks, but the barrage was only a diversion right now as he rushed forward before unleashing a Masenko from the other side. Even that was not the full force of what he was capable of as he unleashed a bolt of lightning from the sky to strike down at the other Conri hoping to add on damage and start wearing him down. However, things wouldn't go quite as he planned as a loud roar echoed throughout the battlefield creating a sonic wall that intercepted and destroyed the ki attacks. It didn't stop there either as the sonic wall expanded to reach him and blasted him hard to the point that he was bleeding from several wounds caused by the technique. Falling to a knee after that attack it was like getting hit with the spheres from Invictus all over again, not quite as powerful due to the power level of the human, but it still held that impact. Not only had it hit him physically, but it effected him on another level as well, as he reached up to feel the blood coming from his ears. That attack was not something he wanted to experience again, but he couldn't stop now, he learned that he had been holding back more of his power than what could be detected. That alone pissed Conri off, if he was going to surpass him then he needed to have him use his full power and not dick around.
“That pisses me off, you're still holding back the brunt of your power aren't you? Acting like I need you to hold back to feel good about myself,” pushing himself off the ground, if there was anything that he was thankful to having from his human half it was the will to always get back up again. What the hell was with this bastard, toying with Conri and giving him the idea that he could face him. It was that burst of power that told him, for a brief moment he saw the full power of the man he faced or it was possibly just another small portion of his true strength. Gritting his teeth in anger he drew more power from his super saiyan form, one of the the good things about it was that it seemed to have a deep well of reserves. Closing his eyes he had to focus and reestablish his balance from that attack since it muddled his mind and made it harder to keep control over his motions. It was a feeling that had him wanting to vomit really, everything was spinning and it just was overall not like most attacks either. After a few moments his body got itself back together allowing him to stand straight and open his eyes once more staring down the man across from him. One after another it seemed that people were doing things that just generally pissed him off, each doing something different, but it was still resulted in the same manner.
“Hm? So, have you not been told about me by anyone? Well that's annoying, hey whoever is running this simulation add this into the program so I remember and can deal with the knucklehead accordingly, will ya? Now as for you, I'm not here ta piss you off, I'm here to be the ultimate obstacle and pull out your inner strength that's what I wanted for my descendants especially the one who inherited my name,” he smirked, knowing that he had a lot more planned for the one that had been given his name as well. There were a couple of techniques he wanted to pass down and he needed someone that could handle them properly and to their full potential. Still, he was getting annoyed with the lack of people explaining his purpose and throwing kids into fights against him. Sure, sometimes it was better to learn through experiencing things, but he had left specific instructions for their to be an explanation of his role. All that prep time had gone to waste though with no one bothering to follow his instructions, well it was at least fun in this situation, he finally had a successor that could match his power even if it was only a portion. It was better than the previous generations had been able to do, and that showed him why this little runt was given his name, there were going to be fun times ahead for him.
“Here, I'll help you a little bit since I was mostly just watching and chuckling to myself before, instead of trying to force the energy to come out like you were take a hold of it and let it flow out naturally,” he offered advice instead of just trying to attack Conri once more. If this kid was gonna be his successor then he was going to need to help him get as strong as possible within as short amount of time as he could manage. The power and control just weren't there for his techniques just yet, they were getting closer though and that was something he would be interested in seeing. He wanted to see what this kid could accomplish carrying his name, he hadn't seen someone with this much potential in a while so he was excited to see how far he could go. The last person had become quite powerful themselves, but he never really learned what happened to them and just assumed that they met their match and died. So, he would see where this one's potential would take him, would he follow the same fate or would he carve out his own path through the universe. He was eager to find out where his legacy would go and how it would define its own existence.
Conri looked at the man skeptically for a moment before focusing his mind on the task of grabbing a hold of the power within him. Once he had a good grasp on it, he followed what the man had told him and allowed it to flow naturally from his body. When he did this he could feel a surge of power suddenly rush through him and begin to fill his entire body enhancing the already incredible strength that the super saiyan form offered. His hair became more rigid and almost seemed sharp to touch, his energy spiking to a much higher degree and his muscles began to expand for a moment until stopping with a much more buffed look than what he normally had even transformed. It was a really strange transformation to be sure, but the power coursing through it was something else, he felt stronger than ever before. The strange thing was is that it seemed like there was even more power buried within that he could potentially tap into and increase his strength even more. However, he had what he wanted for today and he would be continuing the battle with his supposed ancestor who seemed to want him to become even stronger than he was now. As odd of a thing as it was, but he wasn't going to complain about it either, instead rushing for the man he figure he would begin to test this new power now.
Their fists clashed once more and though he wasn't using his hidden power anymore just what he had started the battle with, it seemed that Conri had gained quite an advantage. He was now slowing starting to push his predecessor back inch by inch with the power of his punches. It wasn't enough though he had to overcome that attack from before or try to take it as his own to use against him. That wasn't likely though he didn't understand the first thing about it or how it worked, so he would just have to power through it. However, getting him to use that technique again would require a bit more careful planning on his part otherwise it would never come to pass. Aiming his palm towards his opponent he fired off a few of his ball lightnings to make sure that he couldn't properly defend against them with their erratic behavior. Three of them from different directions would make a good distraction as he moved to get into close range and deal some hard hits up close and personal. Unfortunately, it seemed that there was another technique that he had hidden away that was something he wasn't expecting. With a single kick that seemed to release an incredible amount of power in an expanding area in front of his foot, it took out the three attacks in one shot. Before turning and unleashing the same power against Conri himself, who could only summon his electromagnetic barrier before it hit, but the power was still enough to launch the barrier with the half-saiyan inside away from him.
Damn it, that power in that technique was crazy and he was being pushed back even in this new form, just what in the hell was he supposed to do in this situation? Pushing up from the ground once more he focused power into his right fist and launched for the human. With both his new saiyan form and the power coursing through his arm he took on the appearance of a shooting star racing across the sand as if to pierce through the simulated version of his ancestor. Just as he was about to strike the man revealed his full power and grabbed Conri by the wrist only to flip him over his shoulder into the sand and stand over him with his hand aimed for the younger warrior's throat. There was nothing that he could do right now and he was utterly helpless against this fighter with the sheer magnitude of difference in power. It was like a plankton wanting to fight an entire ocean, the sheer absurdity of his power was the most frustrating thing for him to deal with as well. He had been able to take the powerful attacks and his skill, but this sudden surge of power was meant to put the battle to an end for good. There was nothing he could truly do about it, except to admit his defeat and know his weakness in this battle. The man then laid his hand on Conri's shoulder as though he were proud of him, and it caused the Half-Saiyan to look up at the man who had a grin spread across his features.
“Congratulations, you've passed the first part of the test which was to show me your will to fight against me after seeing a glimpse of my full strength. Sorry about being rough with that last attack, was the only way to get ya to stop,” he crossed his arms and moved to a few paces across from him, motioning for the blue-haired warrior to stand up. He had a plan for all that he was doing even if it just seemed like the scheme of a madman, but who was to say all madmen were bad men? He was one of the few who did crazy shit for the benefit of those he was doing the crazy shit to, and this was no different than that. He had managed to pass his first test, which meant that he had earned the right to one of his techniques, one of the few that he would pass down to a strong generation that could handle it. This kid was just the third one in the line that was able to show that potential and he was going to show him the door to what he had to offer. From there it was up to him to decide what it was that he wanted for himself and for others, but he would be waiting here if he did choose to take up his training. Reaching forward he pressed his fingers against Conri's head, and utilizing his telepathic ability transferred the information for both of the techniques to him. While he would have the knowledge, he would still need to train to create the technique, but he had a place to start now.
When the information was forcefully transferred into his head, he had to hold the sides from the sudden surge of pain as information suddenly exploded into his mind. It was a bit too much at once for him to take in after the beating he had just taken from this guy and he said something about a reward but pain didn't count! It took a while before any of the pain started to subside and he could actually sort through some of the information that he had received and turned it into a format that he could understand better. It was starting to make a bit more sense the more he took control of how he processed the information, but actually utilizing it would be another story, especially since it had the chance to destroy his throat if he messed it up. Well, that was probably another part of the whole test thing to see if he could control the power enough so that it didn't completely backfire and at the very worst kill him. A bit of a psychopathic way of doing things, but if this was another hurdle for him to overcome than he was going to do it. The stronger he got the more people that he could protect with his power and that was something that he needed to make sure he was able to do no matter what happened. It seemed that he wouldn't have any help from his ancestor though with his next actions leaving the Half-Saiyan on his own for the training.
“Yo, whoever is running this thing, shutdown my program and remember to save everything that happened so I can remember. If he survives I'll be back,” the laughter that came from him truly did seem to be that of a madman, but if it pushed the kid to overcome him then it was more than worth it. It was about time for him to have a successor that truly surpassed his imagination and he hoped that it would be this one. It was strange that such a thought could put him at ease as his simulation was shutdown only to leave said successor to find his own path to what was waiting for him.
Left to his own thoughts Conri was able to relax a bit and release the transformation that had been on until this point. The break would allow him to regain some strength while he continued to focus on the necessary components of the technique that he was trying to learn. Inhaling slowly through his nose the young warrior calmed his body down so that he could concentrate the energy that this technique would require. He needed a clear mind and a serene heart to focus properly and once this was established the Ki would begin to flow naturally through his system. As it passed through his throat he would take small pieces to slowly pile up a decent amount of power to practice this move. Focusing it into a power he could feel the Ki adding power to his vocal cords, and as he was about to request that Marisa create a new opponent for him she chimed up with something to say herself.
“Conri, I have received a request from the other...Conri, he says he would like to spar you once more and that he felt bad for the last bit of your fight. He has agreed to keep his full power restrained and wishes to train with you more,” she seemed to be indirectly asking if it was alright with him, strange that she would be so awkward about something like that. Maybe it was the fact that the simulation had made the request from her, revealing that it was far more advanced than either of them could have realized. It wasn't shocking to him, however, more so it was good news that he could fight against him some more. He nodded his head as the answer not wanting the energy that had been so painstakingly collected to go to waste for such a simple thing. Instead, he had the perfect opportunity to test the technique now against the person that had taught it to him. Before the man was brought back in Conri released the power of his super saiyan form and pushed it further into the more powerful form that he had unlocked earlier. If they were going to spar once more, he was not going to hold back from this point anymore, even if it meant pushing his body to the breaking point. He had his own weapon to use against that sonic attack, but it would be very draining on his body, so he had to plan it out very carefully.
EC as Conri had decided to refer to him as from now on to avoid confusion, was being brought into the simulation and facing down the powerful form of his would-be successor. He could sense the energy that had been gathered for the technique and grinned at how eagerly he was to try learning one of the skills EC created in his youth. There was so much to look forward to with the growth of this young warrior, if the next time they met was just as much of an improvement as this time was over the first, then he would have nothing to fear. It would be easier if he could transfer some of his power, but that wasn't really much of an option sadly, so beating the crap out of him occasionally would have to do the trick. Unless EC were to be surprised and it was actually him that was defeated, if they were the same power it was possible, but were they of the same skill? That would be the real question that needed to be answered, from what he could see, Conri was capable of quite a decent amount. That said there was something lacking still, what that was he couldn't say really, but Conri would need to fix it if he wanted to surpass the man before him.
They began their clash once more exchanging punches just like before, but this time Conri threw in a few kicks as well to catch EC off guard. They weren't telegraphed either rather they were simple knee strikes or low kicks to weaken EC's stamina and power, if he couldn't plant his legs properly then his attacks would have much less power. With each new clash it seemed that his plan worked, except for the few ki attacks that EC used between his regular punches things were looking good. If his physical power was reduced then it would serve to give him an advantage, the issue would be pressing it enough to win without completely cornering his opponent. It was when people were cornered that they generally became much more dangerous and that was what he would avoid as much as possible. Their fists would clash repeatedly once more shock waves erupting from the collisions each time, they were both going all out with no regrets and yet each one continued to utilize strategy in each of their movements.
As they were about to clash once more Conri sidestepped the punch instead and fired off a volley of three Ki blasts into EC's side. They weren't meant to be too damaging, but it would stumble him for Conri to unleash his next attack which was his Champion's Cannon. The strike hit its target and sent EC bouncing along the ground a few times before he pulled himself up. The power of his Cannon increased even more since the last time that he used it, putting it on a whole other level. This would be a good surprise for those that tried to take the hit, and it would take down those who were weaker than he was without too much trouble. Then he followed that up with a Masenko for good measure, and waited for the possible response he was hoping for. As the beam flew towards EC he felt the first vibrations of the technique before the sound was released, but he was prepared for it this time. Taking in a deep breath he let out his own primal roar that unleashed a destructive burst of sound that clashed with EC's and blasted them both with the debilitating wave. While it hadn't been a perfect plan Conri had at least prevented the situation from being one-sided, that would at least keep things more even between the two combatants. Still, the way his ears were ringing he was going to be feeling this for the next few days so he would need to take the win for this to be worth all that. By the time they had both recovered from the effects of their attacks, neither was really looking that good and the fight was looking to be coming to a close now. They would both prepare their strongest attacks to see how would leave this little spar the winner.
The two would slowly rise to their feet as Ki began to charge in Conri's hand and in EC's foot, they were going to throw their most powerful attacks at each other. The spear took shape slowly crackling with lightning that was drawn from the very cosmos around him it's power was greater than any of his other attacks. Crimson and gold in color as his life force infused with the power of the super saiyan form, while EC's foot would glow with a blazing violet color. Their power levels would continue to rise as they charged more and more power into the attacks until the excess started to warp the air around the two warriors. Neither wanted to put too much more power into it, because they both knew that the life force would slowly sap away at Conri's life. They prepared their attacks and were just about to throw them when the simulation and gravity were shutdown, ending the last moment prematurely.
“Conri, it is time for your trip to the other planets, you told me to let you know when it was time to leave,” Marisa spoke, in a tone that expressed that she was sorry to have interrupted him. Dispersing the spear he drew in another deep breath as he reverted back to his normal self, smiling at the ship. He was actually glad that she stopped the fight where it had ended, it would make the next time all the more thrilling as his power could potentially match his counterpart.
(Heavy weights in effect, pl please. Also applying for ASSJ and hopefully I get it =p)
