Deep within the bowels of the Earth, through an interlocking highway of caves and tunnels, far from the reaches from the life giving suns grasp, was a kingdom ruled by a an ancient race of highly developed humanoid race the Kyuketsuki. They resembled humans, Saiyans, and many other bipedal humanoids, except for two taboo alterations in their DNA unlike the majority of races that scattered the Universe. It was the way they gained sustenance and strength, bringing vitality and longevity to their already semi – eternal lives. Kyuketsuki evolved in such a way that their canines had the ability to draw the ki and life force from a person blood when said canines pierced the neck or any body part of their prey. They even developed eyes that would allow them an even greater advantage in hunting and defending themselves.
This scared their surface dwelling counterparts, the humans, due to the fact that they were usually the main course on their menu because of their high quality in ki. The usual answer to most problems humans run into is war. Many battles were fought for centuries until finally the two sides grew weary of the prolong fighting. A treaty was signed and the two sides retreated to their respective sides. With the war ending the Kyuketsuki went through a change in knowledge and technology. This called for a total recall of all the old ways and placing together a society like the humans to one take over the surface world as their own and move to greater conquest. The people needed a leader and the person who rose to that task was none other than Rayne Akujin, A great warrior in the battles against the humans, conquering many cities in the names of his people. He brought together the great families of the Kyuketsuki under a single banner as one kingdom. The Akujin bloodline became the royal family and ruled for many years bringing for greater structure and greater freedom. In a sense the Akujin were the ones who tamed the wild beast inside of their brethren and lived peaceful lives feeding on live stock that they raised for resources.
As peace continued on, but like all things they must come to an end. The thirteenth King of the vampiric people was none other than Rayne Akujin, The Thirteenth. He proclaimed himself a God King and would later break the leash that his forefathers had mentally put on his people and told them to live as they wanting hunting and slaughtering the humans or anyone in the matter that got in the way. And like most people who have been told for too long No, are allowed complete freedom, they go wild.
The Kyuketsuki flooded the Earth merging with society, becoming like the humans, learning their ways, and harvesting their life force. The God King would go on to take a wife and bear five children. Four were born from concubines, turned slaves through the change that occurs when bitten by a pure bred Kyuketsuki. While his youngest son was born from his wife the God Queen Salina, he was the only pure bred of Rayne’s but unlike his two brothers and two sister he was not born with Ryujin eyes which allow for a more dangerous Kyuketsuki. Instead he was born with a crescent moon on his right hand a mark of rebirth, The Child of Rebirth. The story goes that in the times of tyranny and great sacrifice, when blood rains from the heavens and covers the sky, a child would be born to bring peace to the world ending the cycle of bloodshed and bringing forth a new kingdom in his image. Salina had known of the prophecy and once she saw the mark she had her youngest son, Kurix Akujin, sent away to a place where he could be trained to become the perfect weapon against the mad king.
The Queen would go on and lie that their child passed while she gave birth. He wasn’t present at the time as he had moved to the surface to run human tracking business. Time would pass and the young exiled prince would start his training to become a master of the arts of war and a sage of the arts of knowledge…
10 Years Old
‘Are you ready young Master?’ One of the servants shouted out to Kurix, who was standing in a center of a onyx arena that had been constructed together for the sake of his development. ‘Why don’t you just do what you have to do.’ The young prince said as he focused his eyes on the towering, steel doors that housed his opponent. ‘Right away my liege.’ The servant said pulling a lever back that allowed for the air that was trapped behind the metal door to come bellowing out as if to let out a giant sigh. The air that poured from the gate was that of rotting, maggot filled flesh. It filled the nostrils of all who were present and none could escape its grasp. Even Kurix held his breath as the air shot into his nostrils and rested inside, still keep his steadfast stance not turning his sight form the door. From the inner sanctum which released the odor, came a Kyuketsuki that was about seven foot tall weighing about three hundred pounds all muscle, his skin was decaying in certain area forming patches of dark red blood, his eyes completely red with black pupils, his canine about six inches long, and his wings fully extended pointing at the young prince. He had fallen into the fetish of feeding on sour blood. This made him more aggressive as usual allowing him to tap the potential of his feral transformation but not losing complete control. ‘I smell the blood and ki of a pure blood… verrry pure blood… I MUST HAVE A TASTE!’ The demented decaying vampire shrieked as he charged Kurix at full speed, causing the ground beneath him to shake in his wake.
The young warrior felt some fear at first due to the sheer nature of his opponent, but he quickly got his wits about and remembered what he was taught in his combat analysis class. ‘Always remember to exploit the weakness in your opponent’s offense, so you can counter their defense, and overcome them completely. Making their weapon yours, allowing you precious time to recover or reserve your own strength.’ The voice of his combat Superior, Tair Taiojin echoed in his mind. Moving his eyes to identify when his muscles contracted, Kurix closed his right hand and thrusting it forward released a chain covered in barbs form the center of his palm at the legs of his opponent. The chains quickly secured themselves around the rabid Kyuketsui’s leg, taking his leg control away. Kurix then pulled his opponent towards himself and roundhouse kicked the monster in his face sending him flying into a pillar, causing a series of interlocking cracks throughout the arena wall.
‘Taiojin-sama, is that all you got I thought this was supposed to some kind of hard task to complete!?’ An irritated Kurix yelled up at his combat supervisor, his face turned with disappointment at the level of difficulty of his challenger. ‘I believe you have allowed the first rules of combat to escape your memory.’ Tair, Superior and Head Combat Authority of the Queens secret military gently said to himself as his facial expression was that of a stern teacher, who only expected the best from his students. ‘Hey I’m talking to you old man, that was a joke!’ The young prince continued to rant and rave, just like any child would do who was born with an exceptional level of power. Before he was even two years of age he presented an aura about him that was greater than his own fathers at his time of birth. A level of power nearing the upper thousands was unheard of in the Kyuketsuki, but for some reason Kurix, a royal pure blood broke this tradition and brought a new meaning to the word talent. ‘So you little shit you think you defeated me!?’ A familiar voice echoed form the hole that was imprinted onto the walls of the arena. A sudden burst of wind, dust, and ki exploded from the hole causing the young princes hair to violently dance about. Kurix effectively lifted his arm to shield his face from the debris and saw a silhouette standing just a few yards ahead of him. ‘What the Hell is going on here? I snapped that guys neck!?’ Kurix gritted through his teeth as a whirlwind of dust wrapped the two Kyuketsuki in its rapid, rotating walls. The feral fighter crossed his arms in front of him and began letting out a deafly screech as a crimson aura enveloped the demon causing a horrific change to take place before the unfocused eyes of Kurix Akujin. ‘I GOARO, IS GOING TO BITE YOUR FAAACKIN’ HEAD OFF!’ The now ten foot, beast who had four sets of wings that resembled a bats only with small hands on the tops of each of them, a long tail with an acidic, drool leaking mouth lined with razor sharp teeth, longer bulkier arms with a set of three giant talons in the place of fingers, and a long tong that appeared to be like yet another appendage.
‘Okay now that’s different, but it still doesn’t matter I’m going to kick your ass from here to the surface and back again you over grown, mentally disabled, tail sucking, shit face!’ The young royal boasted as he stuck out his right arm, his index finger fully extended as well showing much confidence and gritting his teeth as a smile spread from ear to ear. ‘Alright that was cool I’m going to have to right that one down.’ He said to himself as his middle finger met his index finger and he made the peace sign as he continued to cheese at his opponent, who had allowed his fist to become truly personal with the side of Kurix lower jaw sending flying horizontally into the wall of the arena. Before he could even regroup, Goaro, had ripped Kurix from the wall and drug his face through the steel arena floor, causing rivets and screws to become undone, he then punched the young prince in his lower abdomen and started a series of connecting punches that truly affected the response of Kurix. The monster then finished his multi hit combo, by clasping his left and right hands together and opening them forming a dark red ball of ki that was about the size of a two story home, and fired it at the ascending body of Kurix causing a massive explosion on impact that leveled the surrounding area.
‘Now to feed on your remains.’ Goaro said in a triumphed tone as he made his way to terribly wounded body of the young prince. Kurix lay lifeless on the charred, metal floor of the arena, or so it had appeared. As the footsteps grew nearer and nearer, Kurix measured each one using his keen senses to determine the perfect opportunity in which to lay down his counter strike. He would use this creature’s lust for pure blood to be his downfall. As Goaro finally stood over his fallen prey, he picked up Kurix holding the young boys torso as his body hung limp. ‘And now lunch time for Goaro!” The feral beast shrieked as his fangs extended about another foot. With his mouth fully opened, Kurix quickly awoke from his ruse and from his left hand created out of dark matter and his own ki, an onyx blade like rod. The young Kyuketsuki gripped the weapon he had manifested and with a quick, thrusting like motion, he delivered a critical blow to the soft tissue of his captors mouth. With a blade now sticking out the back of his head the creature let out a blood, curdling roar as his toxic blood spewed form the back of his head like a rushing stream. ‘YYYRRRRAAAAARRRRR! YOU LITTLE BASTARD WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!?’ Goaro cried in agony as he pulled the blade from his mouth, causing the flood of blood to increase. ‘What I’ve done is exploited your blind lust for my blood and proven that monsters like you have no reason to live. You are nothing more than a beast that has no purpose.’ Kurix explained to the feral creature who fed on foul life fluids. Even though he was only ten years old Kurix, the Child of Rebirth, understood the ways of his people and how they have become nothing more than savages like in the days of his forefathers. He believed in progression, like his mother he just wanted his people to be something to be recognized throughout the universe as a surviving, thriving race.
‘And like a beast with no purpose I will slay you…’ Kurix said as he closed his eyes and his skin turned a dark grey, his lips a dark violet, his hair grew longer now reaching to the middle of his back, which rested over a set of wings that looked like webbed hands, his eyes a crimson red, his canine a little longer, sharper much like his claws and surrounding this new form a black aura with royal purple electricity. He had transformed into his pure blood form. A level of power he reached at the age of five yet another rare feat for his people. In this form his power, speed, and senses were all tripled unlocking a well of strength that could not be obtained in his suppressed form. As Kurix opened his eyes, he disappeared from the sight of his opponent and appeared directly in front of him slamming his fist deep into his diaphragm with an uppercut like motion. A explosion of force would send Goaro reeling through the air as Kurix began to deliver a flurry of punches and kicks, creating a pattern of strikes that looked as if he was dancing in the sky. Focusing his ki into his right fist he manipulated the electricity around him making his hand somewhat like the God of Thunder and drove into right side of the feral beast face causing him to crash onto the arena floor below. With the crater still forming from Goaro’s body making impact, Kurix forces his left hand forward releasing a chain that picked up his discarded Kokushin, which he pulled towards him and collected into his right hand. Allowing gravity to take over and pull him towards his intended target Kurix, once again used his ki and mind to manipulate the electricity he gave off and plunged his combination of techniques into the heart of his opponent causing a radiant chain reaction of black lightening that gripped the eyes of all who watched the battle…
‘He is only in his tenth year and he is already developed this much. My Lady, He may be able to do more than just usurp the throne, he may be the answer to our ascension to the surface, no, the Universe.’ Tair muttered to himself as he watched as his student stood over his fallen enemy with uncaring eyes, his transformation fading revealing his more innocent suppressed form.

Kurix slowly opened his eyes, just reminiscing about that past made him sick to his stomach. How foolish he was back then… if he had only had the knowledge he had now. ‘The winds of change are coming Father, Mother… And in that change will be your heads resting at my feet. Your people utterly destroyed, your ambitions shattered, all that you have worked for with turn to ash, as I sit on the throne not as the Child of Rebirth… but the God of Destruction.’ The now more matured, focused Kurix said into the wind as he stood on top of a building in Central City.
