Too much was going on around him too quickly for Ethan to process and deal with. Ethar had shown up out of the blue outside the shield, the alien monster had blasted a hole on his shield and used it as an entry before the boy could seal it, an as yet unseen force seemed to be aiding the same villain, the bight point of exploding energy had fully manifested into a horrifyingly powerful explosion with a quickly advancing blast wave, and all through it, that girl was delivering a minutes long soliloquy. Ethan simply didn't have time and did the only thing he could before the blast wave reached him. Leaping into the air and pulling his arms back in, the boy removed his protection from the school, the shield collapsing in on Ethan as he lifted up into the air, sailing just past the roof of the school as the blast hit. Thousands upon thousands of gallons of plasticized water crashed as quickly as the boy could manage, into a makeshift personal shield rather then the colossal dome it had previously been and stood no chance of holding up under such power. This more compact form however with it's much higher density and smaller surface area would at least be serviceable enough for the boy to hopefully weather the blast.
The impact was phenomenal, water flash boiled from the heat and friction of the moving air and even though Ethan tried to remain stationary, he was quickly launched skyward in his rapidly diminishing spherical shield. Riding the blast wave out and rocketing across what was left of the city skyline, the blue haired boy cast his arms away from the direction of travel, diverting all of the remaining water against the dissipating pressure wave. The fact that he'd gathered so much power and mass together before the blast hit was likely a life saver at the very least. Thankfully Ethan's preparedness had done more then just saved his skin, he'd been spared serious injury, at least for the moment. By the time he slowed down though he was miles away and couldn't even make out where the school was amidst the mayhem and the rising mushroom cloud.
"She's done it! Oh you maniac! You blew it up! Ah, damn you! God damn you all to hell!" the blue haired teen screamed as he started back into the churning carnage. Dropping to the deck and flying nap of the earth, Ethan put on as much speed as he could. He considered dropping his weights but he'd likely never find them again in the mangled wreck Central City. Besides, he knew his own power was insignificant compared to the monster he was going after, he only hoped Ethan had survived the explosion and was in good enough condition to keep the savage beast occupied long enough for him to strike.

Ethar wasnt sure what to do now. He felt a monstrous energy signature where central city... was... and another nearby signature vanishing. Someone had died in the explosion, or shortly afterwards.
Using his Zanzoken, Ethar quickly closed some considerable distance between him and Toa. Staring at the Saiyan General, Ethar started to charge energy in his fist as he said "Tell me Saiyan, Do you really think that all of this destruction and bloodshed is worth all of any of this?" He asked, as he felt Ethans energy signature start to come back towards them after he was blown clear of the explosion.
"Your Queen is being nothing but a Tyrant, and a monster!" He said, as he clenched his teeth. Trying ot hold back the anger in him, the energy in Ethar's hand shaped itself into a sword. "Now I know why my father left your 'Empire'. Your Queen, and all that follower her are just barbarians! So I will give you a choice... Leave now, or suffer supreme justice..." He said, giving Toa a stare, as if the Noran/Saiyan Hybrid was staring right into the General's Soul.
"My father and mother would not approve of this violence, even though my father was a Saiyan. But You and your Queen, and her Man-Bitch that came with her, are threatening too many people!"

The vastness was space was to some a comfort, to others a division between where life began and stopped, for Maya it was the barrier between where she needed to be and was. All of it had been seen by her eyes, the explosions, fires that ranged across the cityscape but it had been the flash of light, the raw power from someone... whom she did not know of its source. Worried was the best way to put it all in to perspective, while Maya held all the confidence in the universe for Akassa something in the pit of her sub conscience could not shake off the feeling of woe which brewed from the thought of Akassa falling before the hands of the Earthlings. It sickened and disturbed her so, having chosen to stay behind in the comfort of the ships most of what went on below was a phantom of an idea but no longer. The fleet had done its job up to this point, firing shots down in the vast populous of Central city and finishing deploying their loads of troops. Maya as the commander could no longer sit aside and live behind a vale of what might become of Akassa... and after the air shuttering blast of energy she needed to make sure... she had to come down and find out what had happened. Of course the city was massive, larger than those of the lunar surface; having only a general idea of where to search it might take some time before anything was learned.
Flames licked at the dulling metal hull of the Saiyan ship from the ever increasing amount of thickened atmosphere. Flying the ship from high orbit around the planet took little time but the ever accelerating speeds of the shuttle made for one hell of a ride towards the watery world. Sitting back as relaxed as one could be in such a dire situation Maya held one leg over the other as she looked out towards the expanding world before her. Having a mental lock over the ships commands required little input on the woman's behalf to navigate towards a landing zone but Maya wasn't looking to land so much as arrive on the world; at this point she was merely falling with style. Speed was all that mattered at this point in time, for all Maya knew Akassa was in the need of assistance and while the alien had little experience in the ways of combat compared to the Queen she would do all she could if it aided Akassa in any fashion.
Slamming through the various levels of clouds Maya soon saw the approaching earth growing ever closer with each passing second, it would only be a matter of time before the ships came face to face with the hardened soil. Patient as always Maya watched and waited for the right moment to arrive, fingers tapping lightly on the arm rest she counted down the seconds before a reaction would be needed from herself.
"Three... Two... One."
As the last number echoed in her thoughts Maya burst forth from the ships window in a showering explosion that rained bits of fire and steel across what remained of the city. Clothes smoldering slightly she emerged from the fireball in a matter of seconds, her eyes glancing around at the surrounding lands. In a vast portion of the lands that surrounded her all that could be seen were rubble, what little remained of actual structures looked as though some one had taken a hammer to all sides with relentless vengeance. Colorful spots of dust covered vehicles stuck out from the cement chucks and steel beams which once held the towering sky scrapers up right, now they where scattered in the winds across the cities corpse.
Eying the scene with a cocked head Maya came to the thought that this was not the direct site of the explosion, from this point everything was pushed away the center of energy rather than there being a carter of sorts. She would need to continue to search once again but before she could make any head way towards the deeper regions of the city Maya spotted something off in the far distance... more of someone than something. If it had not been for the blue shimmering of his hair Maya might not have even taken notice of the man, thinking it little more than spare debris raining down from her own shuttle.
From this distance Maya could hardly make out who it was, though in all likelihood the identity of the man would be unknown to her, however he did posses such an ability as flight; only those with adequate levels of power could ever manifest such talents. While Maya deeply sought to seek out her Queen the city was a maze regardless of how many of its once tall buildings now lay in ashes. This man, whether human or not might be the key to finding Akassa, Nasu or even Toa for that matter; finding Toa would be no where as close to finding Akassa but it might lead her in the right direction.
Turning her direction Maya followed the blue blur across the city sky, keeping some distance between herself and the man. While Maya was aware of those that could sense energy she was unsure whether or not the man knew of such things or held the ability; in all likelihood if he could sense energies he would sense her by now. Regardless he would go where he needed to, he was in a hurry from his rapid movement; where ever he was heading there was a cause for him there to be found.

Having just pulled himself from the rubble, Toa saw no sign of the blue hair boy nor the stranger that had come to his aid. They were weaker than he, perhaps sent farther away from the explosion that had just leveled part of the city. For a moment Toa was unable to sense the power of Akassa, the signature that was so familiar to him not detectable. Around him the two that remained competed for his attention, the girl seeming to offer her life to him as if that is what he had come seeking. The boy on the other hand, this supposed Duke was as heated with his words as ever. His desire to fight spoke of the Saiyan heritage that he claimed, even if his father had been a coward. Again he proceeded to threaten those he labeled as enemies, his sharp words not cutting into the General in the least.
Opening his mouth to speak, eyes shifting between the two, Toa takes pause as his Queen's power returns to the sensible realm. The surge was quickly followed by the disappearance of another, one he was not as familiar with. Smirking some at his Queen's resilience and strength he would address them both.
"Every word you speak shows your foolishness. You still seek to fight me when the remnants of a blast almost wiped us from this world. Bravery is the way of the fool when he willingly walks into the flame. Do you not sense the other two, their growing strength? What do you think will happen when they release that energy? I will fight either of you if you wish, but not until I have moved myself to a safe distance from what is to come." With that he begins to lift into the air, floating away from the two before spinning and taking off, looking back at them more to keep an eye on them than any concern for if they followed.
Flying away from the two young warriors Toa found a distraction when to the east of him a familiar signature spiked. He knew Akassa was powerful, the fact she had lived through that blast was even more proof of her strength, but what he felt now dwarfed her previous signature. Not able to sense a signature with accuracy, he could still feel it compared to his own and Akassa's had nearly double from before. Not to mention the golden light that reached high into the air on the outskirts of the city. What power had she discovered to so drastically and suddenly increase her signature? Such power was unlike anything else he had ever felt. It was decided, the Earth would be hers.

Carla sort of sensed the power coming from Akassa, no, she definitely did but she chose to ignore it since she had one goal in mind and that was to kill Toa. Even though she had to move the fight to continue her bout with Toa Carla followed on foot, leaping over the rubble scattered by Saito, and chased after the semi-pompous but perhaps ultimately correct Saiyan that his hints of danger were actually true. As she came into mere feet of his presence floating above her she bent her small knees and took a might leap into the air before bringing out her sword and swinging a downward slash at Toa with her right hand. She was certain his back was not facing towards her but in case he knew she was going to follow she switched up her initial attack midway and stopped just an inch above his right shoulder with her swing.
This was not the end of her attack though. She faded away from Toa with an afterimage in case he launched a counterattack at her front then got around behind him and thrust her palm forward into his torso hoping to push him hard through the air. When that was done properly, if he did not happen to stop it, she would twist her right hand sideways so her sword stuck out to her left hand side, then pull it back along with her left hand, and fire off a blast of flames from her two hands as she brought them forward screaming, "Thunder Flash!" as she did.
The air would superheat if success and potentially burn Toa enough to open Ethar or Ethan up to another attack opportunity. This time she intended to show the two she could work with people and hoped to open a pathway to defeating her first ever foe. In the end, it all came down to luck though and their willingness to help in defeating at least one of the dangerous, yet annoying threats attacking the planet. She was silent with her banter from earlier since she now assumed that her opponent was much stronger then he looked based on how well he survived Saito's blast albeit indirectly.

Riding his board over the crumbled remains of the outer city, Ethan poured on as much speed as his ethereal vehicle could give him, flying back towards where he thought the school to have been. Unfortunately seeing the ever increasing devastation all around him as he sped further into the city, the boy held little hope that the school's actual structure had survived. That though was just one more reason for him to break the jerk's jaw, this "General" who'd support a psychotic witch queen capable of murdering an entire city to suite her own ego. As he closed though Ethan could make out figures rising from the ruins ahead of him, one tried to pull away from the other two but another of the two quickly moved to intercept him and as they did, there was an expulsion of energy. This was Ethan's chance, one of the two had to be the General, even bickering as they were, Ethar and Carla wouldn't be fighting each other at a time like this and regardless of which one of them it was, the other of the pair he was rocketing towards was the General. Pulling back his right hand, Ethan diverted energy to his palm as he hurtled the last few hundred feet towards the moving battle and inverted himself on the approach. Then as his target was clearly in site, the shirtless teen continued in, and thrust his arm forward with as much might as he could muster. Then intent was to use Carla's distraction, as he could now see that it was she who had intercepted the General, and smash his open palm right into the man's face. That wasn't all the boy would how however, fore he'd charged his palm with energy for a very specific reason and should he manage to land the blow, he would issue forth with a mighty roar as the energy exploded from his very hand, directly into the man's face.
"Sha.... Ka!!!"

Things seem to get out of control quickly, as Carla launched her attack at Toa, as Ethan arrived back on the scene to follow up with his own, using Carlas own attack as an opening move.
Being the strongest one in the group, Ethar used his Zanzoken to move as quickly as possible into Toa's path, should Carla's and Ethans attack not have their full intended effect on the General. Once he was in range, Ethar would swing his sword in an attempt to not actually slice into Toa himself, but race to remove the tail that he had. This was done to possibly keep things in their favour, and keep Toa at a disadvantage.
Even then, Ethar knew that with the Queens new monsterous power, Earth's defenders had absolutely zero percent change of winning now, so after the general was dealt with, Ethar had to escape the planet before his own life was extinguished.
But just as started his tactic to remove the generals tail, He felt another energy signature, roughly as strong as his and Toa's, coming to the scene. Another one of Earth's defenders? Ethar didnt know, but it seemed to of followed Ethan back to the fight. Did this newcomer spell disaster for the group? Or has help arrived?

So much had changed. This was the second time in its relatively short existence that she had found herself on the small blue world... it was much larger than the moon so in retrospect the planet towered over its small cousin that clung to a older sibling. Maya had always found it to be a strange world and that was coming from a being that a the time knew nothing of the worlds beyond the puffy silk clouds and lazy blue skies of Earth. So much brewed here, almost as it was the focal point of the whole universe; such an odd thing to imagine yet here they were, this was not the first time the Earth had been invaded nor would it be the last time. Kingdoms rose in fell in periods that a single blink of an eye could miss, if one was not aware of their surrounds and those that governed over them, collapse was an inevitability like knowing a star will someday perish into a black abyss. The only thing one could do was be prepared for the worst and hope for the best; one was never ready, one was prepared. The real question now was, had the Earthlings been prepared?
Keeping on the blue haired human's trail Maya let her eyes sweep over what once used to be Central city, now but a smoldering stone ocean of waste and human graves. The evacuation orders had been given but a mass exodus of a major city was something that could not have been done in a mere ten minutes and such time they did not have in the first place; they lay there, silently trapped in makeshift graves of cement and steel, their voices muffled out in the showering wave of energy that came in a flooding torrent. Maya was sure others could- would have thought such a sight as one to tear at hearts, she felt nothing of the sort, it was war and nothing was sacred in such times.
She wondered, so many things lingered about in Maya thoughts, not just the war itself but the after math; Akassa, and even that idiot Nasu. Each and every factor would come together in the near future but how would the rest react without the other? If... Akassa were to fail, fall from her throne, struck down by who ever, what would be come of the Empire? Would it burn to its foundations, their people forced to relocate to a distant world... humans were known for their mercy yet on the other hand the opposite could be said, they were greedy, harsh and would smite those that had done wrong to them in the past; as Maya saw it the results could go either way. Of course a defeat meant nothing if mercy was given, the war would continue, not in a day, not in a month but shame in defeat leaves wounds that can never heal unless blood is shed. It was a vicious cycle but Maya shook the thoughts off, there was no time to think of such things as Akassa was still alive and bearing rage against those that meant harm to her... that is what Maya believed. She had no real way of knowing if the woman who she had put so much time and devotion still clung to the strings of life or if.... Maya chose not to think about it.
Eyes turning back towards the blue human Maya began to pick up others up ahead in the direction in which the man was flying, from the distance she was currently at it was impossible to have a clear idea of just who it was.
"Three unknown figures, humanoids. Two male, one female."
The info gathered was the simplest that could be at the time however Maya picked up quickly that not all of them shared the same ideologies with the flares of energy emitting from the young female against one who was hovering off the ground from the rest. Increasing in his movements the blue haired man sped away from Maya tracking position towards the group however his aim was not directly centered on the group but the already targeted man... it was Toa. Racing across the destroyed land scape it wasn't until just now that the image of the man became clear enough to determine just who he was; regardless of her own personal affection or lack of it towards the man Maya knew him to be Akassa's head general but most of all a trusted ally. Having viewed the spotty grained footage that news casters had been splaying across the web for all to see Maya became familiar with the Saiyan form even at the distance she spotted him from. Whoever these people were they were no friends to the Empire which meant they needed to be dealt with.
Having kept her speed at a gentle pace to follow the man Maya kicked into high gear as she soared across the rubble towards the blue haired man, already a shimmering glow of energy could be seen in his palm, there was little doubt that whatever he was about to do was by any means of a friendly nature. While Maya wasn't exactly thrilled to be aiding someone she cared little for she knew Akassa would want such a thing from her. Like a eagle upon its prey Maya swooped in for the attack, feet stretching outwards and away from her body she would dive in from his side in a large arch into his exposed side with all the brute force and acceleration that had built up in her wild descent. Using the man as a spring board of sorts Maya sprung off his body and away from the man which she had just assaulted. Black hair whipping across her face Maya turned her attention towards the other two members which thought to cause harm towards the Empire. Cannons loaded and aimed Maya spun her body around with her arms facing outwards, large green orbs of energy would appear in her palms within fractions of a second. Targets picked she unleashed her deadliest of attacks.
"Pulsar cannon."
Tearing forth from her arms a rippling shock wave would crest out and away from her body as the two orbs of crackling silver lightning would soar to their directed targets with the speed of the gods themselves. Whether or not they would find their marks did not entirely concern Maya, her immediate thought was of Akassa and whether or not Toa knew anything of her. It was all possible that Toa was indeed injured from either of the attacks that had been directed his way as Maya came to his side to greet the general.
"Toa."
She paused for a moment all the while her eyes darted across the area.
"Is Akassa.... is she alright?"
Maya voiced an air of concern even though she did her best to cover any traces of such things.

A chaotic battle ensued far from the deciding fight. Two teens and an alien fought against a saiyan and a woman who appeared human. Celeh could feel the cluster of powers in the distance, but distinguishing them was almost impossible due to the large blot in her senses that came from none other than Akassa, the Queen of Saiyans. Celeh had a lot that she needed to say to Akassa, but the battle in that direction would likely be her demise if she got too close before it was over. The powers emanating from the main fight were so strong that the fallout from one of their blasts would be fatal if she got too close. Their powers, especially Akassa's, were simply on another level entirely.
The Saiyan woman did not hesitate or slow her pace, though. She did not attempt to hide her power, although she was far from her maximum. With her weights on and not pushing herself to exceed her limits, Celeh was sitting at a little over forty thousand as far as a scouter might be concerned. She was flying with hast, though, headed for the cluster of smaller powers on the edge of the city. As she drew near enough to have them in sight, the soldier could see the myriad of fighters below, all clashing. Three versus two? A woman and a male saiyan fought against two males and a female? One of the males and the female on the side of three looked to be fairly young. What were they doing in a battle like this? This may as well have been war?
Until today Celeh had been keeping to herself in the islands south-east of south city. But the arrival of Akassa and the flare of her power had made it clear that something serious was going down, and she wanted answers. For now, though, she had other obligations. The newly revived Celeh was not the same woman who died fighting for someone else's goals. She had her own agenda and her own purpose. The soldier was clad in a long, baggy sleeved robe with a thick hood. The robe was heavy and durable for a cloth garment, but more flexible than leather. It was colored silver with red trim around the rim of the hood, the sleeves, and the tail. The tail of the robe reached to her knees. A black, saiyan styled tightsuit was worn under that, and matching Saiyan style boots with silver tips covered her feet. Her tail was wrapped around her waist like a sash. She was sure to keep the hood down to hide her face for the time being. No one here knew who she was, of that she was fairly certain, but she did not want to make any aggressive moves yet. There was no reason to be reckless. It was clear what the sides were fighting for, though. The Saiyan fought for his queen, and the woman that had come to his aid was also an ally to the Saiyan race. The other three looked to be defenders of Earth...or at least they probably believed they were.
She did not ignore their battle, and kept her distance as to not be caught in the crossfire. The hooded, robed saiyan crossed her arms as she landed and glanced in at the believed protectors of Earth. So young...and so reckless. What did they hope to accomplish but throwing their lives away? She shook her head and called to them, "Leave this place for your own good! Even if you win this battle, another awaits you afterward that you cannot hope to win. Do not throw your lives away!" No doubt she meant a battle with the Queen, and it was possible that if they did defeat this woman and the saiyan she had come to aid that the three would be wiped out at a flick of Akassa's finger. They would have achieved nothing but their own deaths... "Regardless of this fight's outcome the damage has been done, and the real fight is not over! There may not be an Earth left if things continue to escalate. You should think about what you will do if that happens. As of right now, you're just wasting time!" Celeh was trying to be logical and save these youths without interfering in the battle with the Saiyan Empire. She did still believe in her own race, but before she passed her judgement over their actions she would have to know all of the facts.
She then glanced over at Maya and Toa and called to them, "If you must fight then I ask that you spare their lives. They may oppose the Queen, but they are young and have much to learn." Now all she could do was wait for their actions. If either side got aggressive against her it would automatically decide her position in this fight and force her hand. But for now, Celeh waited on the sidelines, simply trying to reason this out. This small skirmish was meaningless. The damage had been done and even if these protectors defeated the saiyan and the woman that had come to help him, the overall outcome would still be that the Saiyans would win this battle because Akassa would crush them beneath her boot. And if they lost...then it's possible they would perish. Celeh could not guarantee that Toa and Maya would spare Ethar, Carla, and Ethan's lives...

He had told them to leave the area and even still they chose to attack him. Had these “warriors” no sense of battle? The field around them was about to be wiped from the mat and if they were to remain they too would be obliterated. Perhaps warriors was the wrong term, they were fighters, children even and they did not realize the gravity of the situation they were now in. Their choice to engage him when even after their actions before he had allowed them the option to stand down ignored. Like the children they were they had once again looked for a fight.
Toa knew better, was removing himself from the area when they launched their loosely coordinated attack. The strange girl woman came in first, lunging at him as he flew over what was left of the city. Her blade dove in for his shoulder, but Toa made no move to counter the strike. Instead he focused on avoiding the slash and moving. Twisting in the air he aimed to let the blade move past him, the feint not even coming close to striking the moving warrior. Still moving at the maximum speed he was capable of the Saiyan, was able to avoid her follow up. Flames burst forth from her hands, but all they struck was air, the familiar smell of heated air molecules filling his nose.
Whether they had been able to communicate in some way was unclear, but no sooner had the girls attack missed, did the blue hair fellow return. The last explosion, one far weaker than what they were about to experience had sent him flying away, yet he returned to the dangerous area. Twisting in the air, Toa would pull back, as he came in; throwing out her own blast towards the energy that exploded from the man’s outstretched hand. He was a veteran and an outstretched hand with an open palm, was the telltale mark of an energy blast. However, the distraction left him somewhat open to the final attack from the fools.
The one that had proclaimed himself royalty in his own right, from some far off place no one had ever heard of, was before him. Eyes narrowing as the boy utilize zanzokan to move before him, his blade came in. Unsure what the man was swinging for, Toa changes his direction of flight as the blade drags along the front of his chest place. Cutting a deep gash in the arm and even cutting slightly into the skin of his chest, the warrior’s muscular frame caused the blade miss the tail tightly wrapped around his waist. Even with the damage to his armor and the minor wound, he kept right on flying as Maya and another signature arrived, barely hearing the words of Celeh before in the distance Kurosanai released his blast. Able to sense the energy expanding from the area it had been concentrated in Toa sped onward, hoping he was fast enough to escape the pending destruction. Confusion seemed to be the order of the day, things were once more moving simply too fast for Ethan to keep up with. For a brief moment everything was going sort of as planned, Carla had distracted the General and the blue haired boy was barreling to deliver his exploding strike when an instant before he would have been in range to smash his palm into the alien's face, he was snatched from his flight path by a sudden and breath taking explosion of pain in his right side. The impact was akin to those fight finishing moved Kit had once used to floor the blue haired boy but this time the unseen assailant had smashed the teen's ribs and it was not a pain Ethan was at all familiar with.
"Gaaaagh..." the boy let out a strangled scream as he tumbled past Carla and the General, his board dematerializing from the shock of having his ribs so brutally assaulted and the resulting sharp pain the virtually seized his lungs in their tracks. Ethan crashed into the already collapsed remains of a nondescript building, rolling over a few times until he came to rest on his back amidst the rubble, coughing and blood now running down the side of his face. An abrasion beneath his hair had been opened in the collision with the crumbled concrete but that and a few bruises, the boy appeared to be largely unharmed. He of course didn't feel that way and was sure a few of his ribs had been broken.
"God.... Damn it..." the boy wheezed, holding his right side with his left arm. He felt completely useless, everyone where was stronger, faster and more capable then him, even the little girl. How the hell did that even happen? It was a bitter feeling to be so completely outmatched, not anything like his friendly matches with Kit, Ethar and Conri. This feeling of utter futility made Ethan almost as sick as the kick to his side. What could he do? Lay there and wait to see which one of the aliens would show up to finish him off first? Haul himself back to his feet and likely get put right back on his ass again?
The shirtless teen wouldn't get the chance to even make up his mind as while he laid in the crumbled remains of the building, a bright flash of light nearly blinded him from across the city. Bringing his right hand up to help mask some of the light, Ethan could make out the scene, a massive ball of exploding energy, the likes of which he'd never seen, not even the blast that had leveled the city had such a menacing appearance, although in all honesty Ethan hadn't really had the time to look at it the first time and it's appearance had been greatly distorted by the shield he'd been using at the time. Now however Ethan was laying out in the open with a clear view of the expanding shock wave. It was a terrifying sight and the boy could already feel the thermal radiation against his skin. He acted now on pure instinct, hissing a curse as he quickly grabbed the largest intact piece of concrete he could. It was a poor substitute for the massive barrier he'd used against the last blast, but with no other resource available to him, the makeshift shield would have to do. Standing the roughly man and a half sized chunk of concrete up, Ethan only had a split second more before the blast wave hit. His impressive physique stained and the boy nearly dropped the shield as pressure was put on his ribs, but through the stinging pain he hugged himself against the shield and as before was swept up in the destruction.
There was light, blinding light again, heat all around him and a terrible roar. Then nothing. Blackness. Blackness and pain. Ethan had no idea what happened to him but he did now that literally everything hurt. He was on his back, he knew that much, and he could taste blood. His side hurt worse then ever. How far had the blast carried him this time? How badly was he hurt? He hadn't opened his eyes yet, they were stinging as it was. He just laid there, taking one labored breath after another. What else could he do now? In actuality, the teen had been blown nearly a mile away, the shield disintegrating in his hands in the process. He was now laying prone in an open field, a trench making his arrival and dirt piled up under his back. The boy was covered in bruises and dirt, much of which was now matted into his hair and stuck to his face from the still bleeding head wound. In short, Ethan was a mess. His head phones were now nowhere to be found but miraculously his music player had survived the ride, still clipped to the teen's belt and still recording the action.

After the groups attacks had failed in making their intended contact with Toa, Ethar saw the new commer who had been following Ethan suddenly attack the blue hair teen from behind. “ETHAN!” Ethar cried, as his friend was knocked to the ground. He looked alright, but Ethar knew that Ethan was hurt from the attack.
He then felt another energy signature. It was weaker, but the voice that came from it was the voice of reason. And it sounded like it belonged to a woman. She was telling them not to throw their lives away, and that the real battle was something that would be too difficult, even for them at their full power. It was the truth, since Ethar knew the new Monsterous power belonged to the Saiyan Queen. No one on the entire planet had a chance to stand up to her rage and power.. “God Damnit all. That person is right… We cant win this… We have to retreat and think of a new strategy. Earth is lost.” He said to himself, as a bright light caught his attention.
He saw it was another explosion that was headed there way, and unfortunately, it was much larger and more devastating then the one that had woken him up after Toa embedded him in a building. “Shiiit Shiiit Shiiit SHIT!” Ethar started to say, as he started to use his Zanzoken to try and move away from the explosion as quickly as he could. He saw Ethan get up, and attempt to use a large piece of concrete for a shield, but he didn’t know if it would work or not.
It was too late to fly down and get Ethan to safety since the explosion was moving too quickly. “Gods protect you Ethan….” Ethar said, but the explosion seemingly swallowed him up, and came after Ethar next. But even though Ethar was moving as fast as he possibly could, the energy slammed into his back, and catapulted him forward at an intense rate.
Losing control of his trajectory, Ethar was thrown from the city… towards Mt.Paozu...
His battle with Toa would seemingly have to happen at a later time…..

Everything came rushing back in a flash of light in Maya's mind, a blinding light, ripping waves of energy that tore apart anything that stood in its path, rubble vanished, vaporized at the lone touch of power; even now as she sat atop a smolder chuck of collapsed tree, eyes peering over a steaming crater it was hard for her to imagine that a once great city rose from the soil at that very spot.
----
Something was expected, anything in the form of a defense, a warning towards his well being from his allies but nothing had come. All in all Maya saw it in her best interest that her soaring horizontal kick landed into the blue haired mans side but there was a certain lack of... resistance Maya had been trained to witness when striking another. Air whipping about her face creating a torrent of dancing black hair before her eyes as Maya's leg slid over the sky and directly into the man's ribs with a deep thud as the air cracked alive with a sharp snapping of his bones. A groan filled whelp ripped from his mouth as the force behind her strike sent him hurdling away towards what remained of the broken city below. As if made of some phantom material the strange board structure the human had been using to glide so effortlessly across the lands vanished without so much as a trace as if it had ever existed before, had Maya not seen the object with her own eyes she would have never known it was real. Coming towards the ground in a haphazard tumble the male bounced about in the dust and dirt before coming to a stop some distance from where she had hit him.
----
Thinking back on the blue haired human Maya should have kept her eyes on him longer than she did; she had hurt him, possibly even broken a rib but there was no way she could have known just how strong he was, he could have come back around, struck her from behind in a sneak assault and with Toa running off without so much as a word she would have been none the wiser.
----
There was no time to linger on the blue haired human any longer, one strike seemed to have been enough to put him down at least for the moment but there was no room in Maya's attention to focus on him any longer with the looming threat of the young female and male human that stood against Toa and there fore the Empire. Hair tossing off to one side Maya aimed her loaded cannon's towards the two of them, there was no time to ask, only time for action. So far they have proven themselves a threat towards Toa and really that's all Maya needed to unleash her power on them.
One. Two.
The duo sparking balls of energy soared forth from her blazing hands, smoking with the energy that just released from her body.
----
She sighed softly into the warm air that wafted from the flames of the city below, its smoke filling the skies above with a thick greyness to it. This was when things became difficult for her to view over, everything happened so quickly, mostly blurs of what her memories could enhance and even still parts of it were fuzzy.
----
The female had been the first to lash out at Toa, her moves where sloppy and seemed to be fueled more by emotions than by simple tactics with the bands of flames that shot from her body all directed towards Toa. Maya knew that the man was quick but to see his true potential before her own eyes was like watching a play being composed in a fraction of a second, it wasn't prefect but the man's ability to shrug off attacks and deflect them away made up for all that his performance lacked. It was her swiping blade that swung through that air that first meant to deal damage on the man but in agile glide Toa escaped its path off towards one side, then as the flames trickled from the girls hands he ascended towards the skies away from its burning path. Though while it seemed that Toa had escaped the direct path of danger it was the other humanoid that came into show, his blade drawn and ready to slice flesh; Maya had seen him not far from where he had suddenly appeared but it rose a question of how he could move so quickly. The blurring movements that came prior to his reappearance matched that of someone she had faced before, the ability was indeed interesting being able to transport ones self instantly from one spot to another yet such an ability proved little advantage when Toa took a glancing blow from the man's sword with little evidence of slowing down; Maya's own energy was quick to follow in Toa's evasions.
The first of Maya's own attacks struck her target true and with deadly force behind it, green light filled her eyes as she watched the form of the young girl become enveloped in a hazy mist of smoke; whether she was dead was unknown to Maya. The second energy blast missed the male with his sudden appearance at Toa's side, she could not have predicted that the human would have moved the way he did but there was no loss to be had at moment. Her thoughts had turned to Akassa; without any idea of how her... leader... was doing she arose the question to Toa but eyes turning towards the man he was now soaring off and away from the city limits.
----
Arms stretching above her head towards the smoky sky above Maya yawned calmly, at the time Maya was ready to continue the fighting that had been started, to finish off the human's and rejoin with Akassa. Even with her clam outward appearance Maya held discontent for Toa at how he approached the dire situation. Toa had left her without so much as a reason behind his departure, looking back on it she was glad she had followed without so much as a hesitation, yet there lingered something of hate within her without any warning of what was to come. The man was older than Maya and even though Maya's own general intelligence was higher than his the man was well versed in military tactics, if a retreat was signaled by the man those nearby where wise to follow.
----
It was then that another arrived to the scene, it didn't take long to figure that the hooded figure was female even with the shadows of her hood to mask her appearance; curves formed through the robe which was bonded to her form, mixed with her high pitched voice it was easy to make out her gender. Her words while meaningful fell on deaf ears, Maya took off after Toa with all the energy that her body could produce in hopes to arrive at the mans side but it was when she looked over her shoulder from a tremor that tore apart the skies that she saw just why Toa had left; the world was coming to an end, at least as far as the city was concerned. Something or someone had unleashed an explosion of portions Maya had never seen before; from above in her space craft she had witnessed what she thought at the time to be largest single burst of energy she would ever live through but this one put the last to shame.
Calculations ran through Maya's mind with the speed and distance between herself and the coming wave; they were not good. With her energy levels reaching their max capacity there would be no possible way for her outpace the coming force, at least not with normal means. Turning to where her stomach faced the sky Maya pointed the palms of her hands out and towards the coming energy, and with a rising burst of fire power from her hands she launched herself in a chaotic method away from certain death.
The landing hadn't been pretty even for her own standards as Maya crashed into a nearby forest, trees cracked and burst into flames with the speed she generated. Eventually Maya slowed to a stop in a shallow earthen grave with pounds of dirt and ash upon her body. Arms bursting from her early grave Maya clawed her way from the dirt as she shook off what clung to her clothes or at least what was left of them; torn from head to toe Maya looked more like a hobo than what she had looked like before.
She cleaned herself off slowly as she made her way through the various smashed trees and tore forest floor, following the path through the destruction she had inadvertently caused. Light streamed through the gaping hole in the woods as Maya popped out for the first time to see what remained of Central city; it was a grave yard. For as far as her eyes could see there was a dull greyness to the land that matched the sky, as if everything was frozen in a pocket of time, its color drained from the very land. Standing in the still far off lush woods it was if she was staring through a window into another world, protected from its effects yet still able to watch it as time ticked by.
"Akassa...."
Her name fell from her lips as she scanned the crater where the city once was; Maya knew Akassa was there, some where... she was fine though, not even that could kill Akassa... but... if that was the case... where was she? If that was from Akassa then this was over, the "War" as some might call it would be finished if all of Earths fighter where depleted; Akassa would find a way to communicate with her and then they could all go home... why hadn't she then?
"I need to find her."
Maya knew the words to be true but there was so much land to cover she didn't know where to start... she needed time to think. Resting nearby was what remained of a once proud tree now smashed down and smoldering, taking a seat Maya ponder of what had happened to her, to Toa, she wondered if anyone else had made it out alive... Toa would be fine, he left before the rest had even a chance to think much about it. There was the female and the two males, Maya assumed the woman was dead, the wave of energy would have certainty killed her if not for her own attack and the other two... that was a mystery still. The blue hair man had been injured though to what extent was beyond her knowledge, it was all possible he survived if shelter had been given... but his chances were slim if not next to zero. Then there was the masked woman, she had come from now where in the hopes to cease any fighting but it looked as though her wished had gone unnoticed by others... where had she gone?
With all the thoughts going around in her mind they slowly came back to Toa and his own abilities.
"Toa...."
He had known the energy was coming... could he sense it? If that was the case then Toa would know where to find Akassa... she needed to find him. Jumping off from the burning stump Maya took to the skies in search of Toa, if he was still alive... no, he was alive; he could help her find Akassa... he would help her find Akassa.

Celeh did not have time to determine whether or not her words fell on deaf ears. The soldier's vision was blocked out by a blinding light as the explosion on the other side of the city rocked the entire city and most of the surrounding area. She threw up both arms in a crossed fashion in front of her face to prevent being blasted in the face with debris, but it was too late for her to try and escape the area by the time she realized what had happened. The force that erupted shortly after that blinding light was even stronger than the initial one. The shockwave that rushed through the area sent Celeh sailing backward faster than she could fly.
The saiyan woman found herself focusing all her energy to fly in that same direction in hopes that going with the flow would allow her some means of control. She looked up, flying with her back to the ground and her body parallel to the ground. Her control was shaky at best and she started to weave heavily. Before she knew it her back hit the dirt and she tumbled into a pile of rubble, sprawling out against it as she impacted it. Celeh's eyes were closed and her body was aching. The breath had been taken from her.
Her mind race to piece together what had happened. In the rush of the moment she didn't realize just how fast the blast sent her flying, or how far she'd gone. She could barely even be called 'in the city' at this point. The pile of rubble she was planted firmly against was actually heaped over top of a large boulder that had caught the mass of rubble on its launch trajectory from the city. She just happened to be a living piece of that heap now. Where would that blast have come from? The fight with Akassa, maybe? Or the other battle that had been going on? She couldn't tell right now. Her mind was in a haze and the lack of steady breathing was more of her concern right now.
Despite all of this, though, a smile spread across her face. If the others at that little battle she'd tried to break up had survived like she did...then her goal would be met regardless of their consent or not. Their fight was ended abruptly and, hopefully, without casualties. She couldn't breathe a sigh of relief yet, but at least it was a step in the right direction. If anyone else knew her thought process right now, they'd probably think she was crazy. Of course...the fact that the city was now a smouldering crater posed another problem entirely if there were any citizens left inside. They would most certainly be crushed or vaporized...
