‘Kurix, my love, no matter what happened to me just know that I will always love you and that will never change.’ Riina whispered into the ears of a bound Kurix who was blindfolded and chained to a wall, in the belly of secret dungeon under the compound in which he grew up in. Due to the nature of his jaw, the young prince could not muster a single word to his lover and friend. Instead only a very faint grunt could be made as he went unconscious yet again…
The now older Kyuketsuki warrior suddenly woke up as the thoughts of his not so far past still haunted him. It was a few centuries ago that his training to usurp the thrown was cut short and by order form his mother, was tortured and imprisoned due to the fact that his focus had moved from ruling the race of an elite species to falling in love with a girl who had ideals of peace instead of war. Her name was Riina and she was the only weakness that the young prince had possessed. His supervisors seeing this issue had a secret meeting with his mother and they informed him his success would not come to pass as long as the girl lived. So the Queen, being a mother who cared about her son, instead ordered she be made an example of. Also Kurix would have to watch her punishment to teach him that no matter what he does everything he cares about can and will be taken away from him if he is not careful.
Queen Salina did not get the results she had hoped for, instead Kurix waited patiently for a moment to seek his revenge. It would be fifty years before the young royal would make his escape from the compound his mother had him sent to after he was born to search for the only thing he loved anymore…Riina.
With his hooded black cloak with crimson clouds, which was handmade by Riina, on the six century old Kyuketsuki turned his attention to Central City as he could hear the screams of thousands. It would seem that something was going on and whatever it was it caused chaos among the humans. Kurix was use to the sounds of people’s screams, especially when he made an appearance. He was a part of a race that fed on the life force of other living, conscious beings. Men, women, children they were all just fodder to the ex-prince. They were only a means of survival and would never be anything more than that.
‘These pathetic humans, they are so weak they cannot even defend the capital of their planet… such a waste of life.’ Kurix whispered as he did not feel any remorse for the many cries for help that his sensitive ears could pick up. He instead had caught the scent of a human female who had appeared to have escaped whatever was going on in downtown Central City. ‘And you have chosen the wrong path today, my lady.’ Kurix muttered as he put on his hood and jumped from off the building he was standing on top of. The lady, who was about in her mid-thirties, was running at full speed in a complete panic. With her head turned to the events of Central City she did not see the hooded Kurix in her path.
Before she knew it her body had made contact with Kurix causing her to fall flat on her backside causing her straight, green hair to become ruffled.
‘I am so sorry mister! There are a group of people with tails saying that they are here to take out planet from us, if you know what is best you should run for the hills like everyone else!” She quickly said as her rushed words were only spaced between the deep breaths she was taking to feed her lungs the oxygen needed so she could flee more. ‘It is sad.’ Kurix said softly as he outstretched his arm to the women. She saw his extended arm as a notion to help her up but if she only knew the true intentions of the hooded man in front of her. ‘What is sad?’ She asked in curiosity trying to put the pieces together on why this gentleman was so calm. She reached for his hand but stopped midway when she saw what was coming from his right palm. It was a chain with barbs protruding from every possible angle and its only target was the woman’s left leg, ensnaring it and through sheer will hung her upside down in midair. ‘PLEASE DO NOT KILL ME! I HAVE DONE NOTHING WRONG TO YOU!’ The woman panicked as she violently jerked her body about trying to break free from Kurix grip. Tears weld up in her eyes as she was brought closer to the face of Kurix. The only part of him that was able to be seen by the captured woman was his lower jaw. ‘It is sad that in the end, all that you see, all that you cherish, and all that you pathetic cattle covet will all fade away.’ Kurix paused as he used his free hand to remove his hood and expose his face to his captor. ‘I was once known as the Child of Rebirth, born to bring a new age to my people and this world, but through truth I was able to remove the blinders from my eyes and now have absorbed enough knowledge to understand. I am not a Child of Rebirth, I am the God of Destruction and through my will I will bring an end to everything you swine love so dearly.’ Kurix explained calmly knowing that the woman had no idea what he was talking.
‘What are you talking abou…!” Before she could finish Kurix canines had found themselves locked onto the neck of his prey and a sudden burst of life poured into his mouth. His fangs had made the incision in the woman’s jugular and his tongue with the help of a suckling motion began to feed on the blood and ki of his victim.
A black aura formed around him as he continued to pull the life from his prey, her skin turning pale, her eyes blank with confusion and shock, her body was limp and she was at the mercy of Kurix. As his feeding proceeded he began to have sudden flashes from his past with Riina filling his mind. ‘This isn’t you Youkou-kun, you are the light to my world.’ The voice of Riina said as he could see her smile as if she was right in front of him. Kurix abruptly stopped feeding on the women as he was broken from his trance. His victims neck now had two holes in it and the blood from his feeding was now dripping from her light green hair. The same life fluid streamed from his exposed fangs as he looked down upon his meal.
‘…Riina…’ Kurix whispered as he placed the hood over his head and stood over the woman’s paralyzed body. The young Kyuketsuki had to find somewhere to put the woman he had used to refill his power due to the fact she would be immobile for a few hours. This was not the norm for Kurix, but something about Riina’s words caused him to lose his appetite. So with the same chain he had created to capture this female, he used it to lift her up off the grass that matched her straight, long hair and leaped back on top of the building that he was standing on before.
‘What to do with you.’ Kurix pondered as his eyes scanned the horizon for a decent place to put the girl. Finding no where to place here he just left her where she was and made his way to
