So with the site turning two years old and learning to walk we decided to roll out a few updates.
-Throughout the story of Dragon Ball Z the heroes Goku, Vegeta and Gohan were often at the forefront of the Z Fighters and their defense of Earth. While the strongest of the lot, these fighters were not alone. (Nor was Frieza!) To represent this, the staff of Dragon Ball Awakening had some time ago implemented the purchase of allies so that each and every play might have their own allies to help them in their cause. Yet, these allies have been limited in their strength…no longer! We are excited to announce, along with the other updates provided in this announcement, upgrades for allies!
Going forward, any player that has an ally and has reached a base PL of 200k, will be allowed to upgrade one of their allies to the transformations listed below. The price of this upgrade will depend on the increase in multiplier that the ally will be receiving.
Saiyan/Half-Saiyan – x11 (5,500 zeni for regular/ 3,500 zeni for elites)
Bio-Android – x13 (6,000 zeni)
Makaio – x10 (5,000 zeni)
Android – x13 (5,500 zeni)
Human – x10 (5,000 zeni)
Icejin – x12 (3,500 zeni)
Namekian – x11 (4,000 zeni)
Majin – x13 (5,500 zeni)
Alien – x12 (6,000 zeni for alien 1/2/4 and 4,500 for alien 3)
-With the legendary super saiyan appearance the universe has/will drastically change. But the universe is vast and beings if all creeds and races have their own tales of legendary beings. So with that staff has decided to introduce another lottery for a legendary type being.
The rules for this lottery are similar to that of the original lottery where members get to pick a number one through 20, will modify if needed, and staff will roll a corresponding dice to determine the winner. The difference being that this new legendary being has no history so the winner will work with staff to create an entirely unique back story to this transformation. The handlers that had entered into the first lottery are ineligible for entry while everyone else is eligible. That is right hunans, makaio, androids and even the most diverse aliens are eligible to join! Be on the lookout for the entry thread.
-As an addition to the existing two power brackets, we are implementing a third. This bracket will be between 43%- 65% of opponents power-level. This bracket will account for the fact that fighters such as Yajirobe, Tien, and Krillin had major impact in battles even though being vastly outclassed by those that they opposed. This in no way means that such a fighter can stand for very long against one they are so outclassed by. Attacks at this strength serve as things like distractions or taking advantage of situations wherein opponents are very vulnerable. This does not mean that someone like Tien running up and smacking Cell across the face would have worked, rather they had to be very strategic with the placement of their involvement and attacks.
-From the creators of the Mulligan comes a brand new idea that totally was not inspired by another player (Conri); the Tech Mulligan! How do we attain such a thing? Well, if you ever find yourself on New Namek, the desire to forget will draw you to a strange and mysterious cave deep beneath the blue planets emerald waters. Here an ancient spirit will ease your pains and eat away those pesky memories. Hell when you wake up, in a field of blue grass and pink flowers, you won't even remember such a cave ever existed! Be wary, as such a process may have unintended side effects (entirely up to the player), after all memories form such an intricate weave. Also be aware that you only get half the tech slots back for whatever techniques you wish to forget (so obviously you have to offer up more than one to receive an empty slot; exceptions being custom Masters/Monarchs as they already cost two to learn). You may be drawn to this hidden locale even if you don't desire tech absolution; there are plenty of things people wish they could forget [Thread is located here; a note, these posts are not graded so feel free to be as concise as you wish, even just posting a list of the unwanted techs is acceptable].
