It was a strange sensation for him right now, he wasn't generally one that put much stock into their being an afterlife, but here he was standing in it himself, and what was more fascinating about it was that his body was restored to its pristine condition. The arms were back where they belonged and the scars over the years had vanished as well, a strange sensation to experience for sure. Shaking his head he patted the sides of his head a few times to clear his mind and walked forward into the building that was standing before him, no point in being bothered about being dead now. As he entered there was a rather large desk centered in the room where everyone was lined up, and waited for his own turn before approaching the over-sized furniture. He had to admit that he was handling all of this rather well himself, but that could wait for later reflection, right now he supposed that he should keep focused on what was going on. Apparently this was the place where he would be judged, and he would just wait for whatever was to come his way without any hesitation or fear.
It didn't matter where he would be sent, he would continue to walk down the path that he created regardless of where it would lead him, either way it would likely lead to something that would help him achieve his next goal. He wasn't exactly sure what was supposed to happen here though, so he would just quietly wait for whatever event was supposed to happen now.

The path one chose in life was not one to chose lightly.
Conri Lane had made his choices and they had brought him here. Whether he had chosen correctly or incorrectly was entirely up to him. King Yemma was the one to judge souls and send them to their final destination, but ultimately he could not be as harsh as a man could be upon his own soul. The large red ogre was probably more fair than an individual might be on himself, his judgements completely unbiased. He had been so with the souls before and he would by with Conri Lane.
"Welcome Conri Lane. This, is the Check-In Station, the first stop on the journey in this stage if your life. Am I correct to believe that you remember what brought you here? Some find themselves a little lost when they first arrive." With that the ogre King leans forward in his mahogany desk, hands clasping far above the blue haired Saiyan. The eyes that peered down at the male were calm and controlled, just as they were to every other soul. Conri Lane was a hero to many and a Champion to many more, but to King Yemma he was just a single Half-saiyan.
(Short is fine if you want to keep this simple.)

The voice that spoke brought his eyes up much higher to the view of the entire massive desk and the one who sat behind it, a large red ogre-like being who was dressed rather fancily in a suit and tie. That was probably the strangest thing he could have seen in this place, but he smirked at the thought of it, this place wasn't going to be all that dull it seemed. He was glad for that, and he could still hear the words of the being that was speaking to him, what had brought him here. That was something he remembered quite clearly actually despite his death and he sighed at that thought, it was a bit disappointing as to why he was here.
"I do, it was because I self-destructed in an attempt to take out Akassa by launching into her into the other blast, but it seems I underestimated her power and overestimated my own. I thought I had finally gained enough strength to protect the people I cared about, but it seems that was false," sighing slightly he ran a hand through his hair. It was dejecting to think that after all this time he still wasn't strong enough to accomplish what he wanted to do. He couldn't even take Akassa with him in that final explosion, he needed a power to match the new one she had obtained, but he had no idea if there was such a power within him. The real question was what had caused Akassa to turn towards such a dark path, would this person know the answer to that? Was there anything that he could do with that information without the power to back up his will?
"If you don't mind, I would like to ask you a question. What happened to Akassa to make her change so suddenly? If you know," he supposed it couldn't hurt to ask about that, but maybe there could be something he learned about it. Then again Yemma might believe that he was weird for worrying about someone else while he was currently facing something that would more than likely effect him greatly. Still, he wanted to at least know what was behind it all, if there was a way to get through to her before it truly became to late then he would find a way to become stronger and do something.

The question caused the King to snort some, as if it was something he could answer. “You are wrong to assume I would give you such an answer Conri Lane, even if I know it. I can judge and understand the decisions of all, yet discerning the motives or reason behind them is not always so black and white. From what I know, you are much more familiar with Akassa Hattori than I am. Should you not be asking yourself that question?” The Ogre King knew much about many, but he had never interacted with the woman on a personal level, never had any real connection to her like the one he had seen in Conri Lane. It must not have been easy for the blue haired warrior to stand against her.
“While you are wrong to ask such a thing of me, you are also wrong to assume so little about yourself. If your goal was to remove the both of you from the realm of the living you did not succeed, however; that does not mean all is lost. Believing in yourself and the power you possess is braver than you might realize even if it was not enough to achieve your goals. The question is, are you done reaching for what you desire?” The King would not say it, but he was implying that the half-saiyan’s path was not necessarily at an end. More than a few souls had come to him with the weight of defeat bending their shoulders, but some had overcome such tests.
“Also it would be wise to remember that lessons can be found everywhere. Not touching a hot pan is easily learned when first you burn yourself and underestimating another is rarely a mistake that should be made twice. Self reflection can lead to many answers Conri Lane, seek knowledge within yourself before asking others.” His words were not meant to mock, but advise. As Yemma saw it there was plenty of good in Conri Lane, but like with many, the desire to do right was not always enough.

That was an answer that he probably should have expected from the ogre, but he was hoping there was some insight, though he might have gotten some anyways with what all was said. "Yeah, I suppose that makes sense that you either won't or can't tell me that, I just figured I'd ask. Can't hurt to at least do that, right?" still, he did pretty much know Akassa better than just about anyone, so if there was anyone that should figure it out it should be him. He would have to try and think to himself about just what could have caused such a change in the woman that he had become close friends with even though they had not known each other long. Maybe when everything was said and done here, he would take time to think on it more as it seemed he might have the information, but it was all jumbled at the moment.
When he spoke about not assuming so little of himself Conri had known that already, but it was more just a statement of reality, "I understand that, and I probably should have phrased that better as well. Though for your question I will say that I will never stop chasing my desire, it is the path that I decided to walk long ago and nothing will sway me from it. I will become strong enough to achieve everything that I want to do, and this time I'm going to accomplish them the right way. I fumbled the ball at with this one, so to speak but next time I'm gonna have the power to save everyone." That wasn't a bluff either, he would have the power to save everyone and he would make sure he didn't sway from his ideals this time. At least, he hadn't actually broken his promise, though things would likely be much tougher from this point on he would go full ahead without any faltering.
"You're right, I'll just have to learn from this mistake and move forward, whether or not I get the chance to fix things I can at least carry on the right way from now on. I'll reflect on it all and see what I can learn from everything. I will do what I can to improve from here, thank you for the advice," he bowed his head slightly to the large orge. He was glad he got to talk to the guy, kind of helped him sort out his own thoughts in a way. The real question was what would he do now that everything had gotten to this point as well? He wasn't entirely sure what happened at this stage in the game.
"So...what happens now?" he asked the man that had given him the rundown of where he was and had asked the questions of him.

King Yemma hoped Conri would take the advice to heart. Learning from one's life was the key to bettering it.
"What is next? You move on of course. I have already explained that this is the Check-In Station and it is only the first step on your journey. I may decide where you go from here, but after that, the path you take is up to you." Considering his words, the Ogre King was sure the half-saiyan was ready for the next step. He had asked his questions, as fruitless as they were, and had taken a moment to openly reflect. None of this was meant to shape the King's decision, but to give understanding to those his decisions affected. Hopefully Conri Lane was at peace with himself.
"Conri Lane, I grant you access to the realm of Heaven." The giant gavel the red ogre had picked up at some point, slams down onto the block. With the sound and judgment, Conri would feel his body begin to grow lighter. If he were to look down he would see himself fading, soul in the process of shifting realms once more. As he departed, magic whisking him away to the next part of his tale, the King would offer him one last bit of advice.
"Be careful Conri Lane." The words perhaps literal in that he should be aware of himself in future travels or in reference to the path he hoped to walk. Any more chance at an explanation would be lost as the blue haired half-saiyan vanished from the Check-In Station.

The next words had caught him a bit by surprise, so the check-in station was a place where the souls were sent to decide where they belonged in the afterlife, that was an interesting aspect of the other side. He smirked a bit that there was a way to see where his path had been leading him to this point, and if it had been the right path that his heart was fully invested in. This was a way to test himself on the actions of his life to this point, and regardless of what happened he would use the decision to reflect over his life to decide how to better improve who he was as a person. It seemed that this ogre was the one in charge of deciding things as well, and he was fine with that, if he knew all about what he had done then there was no issue.
"Then where you send me is where I will continue my path and continue reaching for my desire, I will await your decision," he didn't really mind, this guy seemed to have a fair bit of advice for him and he was more than happy to receive it. If he was to decide where he went from here then there would be no need for regrets or worries, he would trust the ogre with whatever it was he decided. He had a mission in his mind and a goal to work towards, wherever he found himself he would be pushing forward with all of his might to obtain the power necessary to achieve it all. He knew that death was not what he originally thought it was, and that it seemed he could continue becoming a better person, so there was still hope to change things.
"I thank you, Mr. Ogre," he said with a bow of his head to show his respect to the large being as he felt his body grow lighter as his destination was clear ahead. His body was dissipating into the air as he was headed towards his new destination for whatever adventure would await him. The words he heard were answered with a nod as he could not spend anymore time in discussion with the ogre as unfortunate as it was as well. He hoped that where he was headed next would have something there that could help him grow even stronger than he was right now. (PL please!)
