It was finally over and dealt with, all that remained of the crumbled city below the rising hills was the smoldering crater where the once grand urban center of Central City rested on its foundations; nothing more than ashes of its previous self wafted through the misted grey sky. A haunting beauty filled the view between the cloud gaped sky that hovered above where a aged city once stood; heavenly lights filtering through the steamy clouds giving them an mystical yet dull shimmer across the scarred, war warped land. Off in the far distance ships which rose the Saiyan banner trudged across the lands flashing the banner for all to see that the Empire had one this day... or at least the day before. Sun set and sun rise there was no celebration as of yet though the burning aura of the Empire lit their souls with passion for the kingdom that now ruled over another. There was yet still more to do on the world, while the majority of the warfare had ceased with the destruction and... capture(?) of Central city but it was the small pockets of resistance that fueled further combat though it was nothing that a well placed regiment of shock troops couldn't handle; soon the world would fully bend and once would come once more.
"How many died? Shame... they would be alive if they had knelt."
At the cusp of a over looking hill stood the shadowy frame of Maya, over the hours her still life body had been locked in position, watching and waiting though it was for nothing in particular... just taking in the view in the after math of it all. It wasn't often that one could just watch the simple beauty that came in the wake of destruction, basking in the dull, dying light of the coming night. There was yet still more for the young alien to do with the reconstruction on the mind but the world would need stability after such a cataclysmic event had unfolded on its soil, even with that in mind something else took higher priority for Maya, or more of someone.
Resting silently behind Maya stood a medical ship, its side plastered with the Saiyan emblem but crossed over in the middle with a large red cross, a seemingly common sign in the universe for medical assistance of any sort. With all the damages and casualties in the cross fire or simply in the quick skirmish many of the transportation medical stations had quickly been spread across the globe to the areas with the most need of them yet aside from Maya not another soul could be seen hovering about the landing zone. The need for the vehicle was not for herself but that of the bastard child of the late King, the one which now owed Maya his life for saving his pathetic existence from the fate of death. By all means Maya was a simple individual who asked for little and needed little to make a living of any sort however a high price of her own had been exchanged for Nasu one of which she had done partly on half for Akassa's well being but also for another.... Maya knew all to well that having Nasu at the end of leash was a tactical advantage in the long run, while his brain was lacking any fine craft his body was built to face the gods themselves, some one like that could cause great destruction if left unchained but with the right hand and set of blinders to guide him there was little that could not be over come.
Rocking softly on her heels from a coming gust of air Maya turned away from the setting sun light, she had stood there long enough and it was nearing time to have a conversation with the idiot. Feet crushing the loose soil below Maya crossed the short distance from the hill side towards the ship, from here she could see the open bay where the still sleeping form of Nasu lay; it had been over a day since the events of the wear and tear on his body had knocked him from the bonds of conscience. Hollow metal echoed under her feet Maya passed through the opening of the craft into its steel belly; her target, Nasu. Up till this point a lone nurse had been tending to Nasu over the duration of his rest but as Maya walked into the room she waved the nurse away with a simple flick of her wrist as she slipped away into another part of the ship.
Arriving with a eased pace Maya sat on a nearby stool as she watched Nasu with a blank stare watching the slow rhythmic rise and fall of his chest, whether or not he was ready to awaken she cared not. Eyes turning towards the even beating monitor that had been hooked up to his body the quick rises and dips on its displayed told her this vitals were steady though slowed in this sleeping state, it was time to change that. While Maya was by no means a doctor or even proficient in the medical field she had picked up a few things on organic bodies though not all of it was relatively informative she did find some facts interesting enough to put them to use. Leaning forward with out stretched hands Maya rested them above Nasu's clothed chest, with a simple flick of her wrist she took a hold of his nipples and gave them a hard twist with all the strength in her fingers. Such a painful shock would awaken anyone from the deepest slumber.
"Wakey, wakey."
She grunted with the hard twist of her hands.

Everyone was dying. Literally everyone, he could see charred bodies, he could see misted blood, he could see last glances and burning agony. He had killed thousands if not more in the war. And it was depressing as all hell.
Yet Nasu couldn't bring himself to wake from his dreams. Somewhere deep down his mind just wasn't ready to accept what had happened, to become a part of reality again. Somewhere he knew it was more than partially his fault. He had killed those people, all of them. And he wasn't even slightly prepared to cope with this.
Unfortunately for him, the Universe did not care if he was prepared to cope or not. The phrase "I can't even"somehow doesn't stop shit from happening. And it was with a twist and a surprisingly girlish scream Nasu woke back into the world of the living.
It was a hand twisting his nipple that brought him back from death. And immediately his rage flared. How the fuck dare someone!
His head shot up to stare into the eyes of the offender before he killed them.
It was Maya.
His mouth opened and closed impudent and completely unable to act. She had saved his life, she had brought him back from the dead. He couldn't hit her. He knew it. She knew it. He was for all intents and purposes, her bitch.
"Wakey, wakey" she said as Nasu's legs swung off the bed and he sat unable to say a word.

The article had been a varying in length as they all where, each with their own cluster of information that individual researchers that of out simple curiosity constructed for those that followed in their foot steps with a similar ideology that a curious mind floated amongst like a sea of conscience thought. Millions upon millions of blogs, articles, papers one wrote for assignments thrown down by a superior all amassed in the finite cluster of information that was scattered by threads into the nether that was the web. By chance the supplement of information struck itself into Maya's board path of research like a boring spike of volcanic earth that broke free from the waves that once engulfed it and like everything else that came before she absorbed it into herself like a sponge. Most, if not all of what she came across inevitably were but crumbles of something far beyond the scope of her vision till the honey pot, the golden chest, the pot at the end of the rainbow was found, yet it was those tid-bits she clung onto and for good reasons she did just that, for had Maya not there would have been a much smoother entry for Nasu back into the realm of those of conscience thought.
Having clamped on firmly as to not slip Maya did what needed to be done; of course there were various different mannerisms in which the task of breaking Nasu's dream state could have been achieved with relative ease but just like many other aspects in her life this was merely a test; a test to control, a test to see the limits of her own control over the idiot.
A hollow shriek tore through the shuttle bay of the medical craft unlike one which Maya would have expected from a man of Nasu's age and size; Maya knew there would been... an reaction, but nothing as such which unfolded before her that very second. Maya recoiled, not in fear of Nasu's raising balled fist but from the whaling cry which he produced; shock had taken control of her mind, locking her in place with wide doll like eyes with their crystalline gaze. Finding herself once more in the dower reflection of Nasu's eyes Maya brushed the spittle that accumulated from his rude awakening, with such a gesture and calmly closed eyes Maya stated the fact that she knew her placement was well above that of Nasu's now.
"Part of me... wished you would never awaken."
Her voice was cold like the arctic glaciers of the north poles, bitter to the body but pierced deep into ones body.
With a twirl of her neck fine lines of black hair jutted wildly around her pale face, hand rushing through the thick sea of fibers Maya relaxed back into the plush cushion of the stool; though hard to see there was the faintest of smiles hiding in her purple eyes. Their thoughts were one, but only for a single span of time before the connect was severed like lava through flesh; Nasu was right, the only time he would possibly be right in his pitiful excuse for what he called existence, he was her bitch.
"I see... we are on the right page for once."
Eyes dropping away they gazed slowly over the cabin which they found themselves in; Maya sought nothing in particular, more of looking for the right things to say. Since the unfortunate moment their lives hand intertwined Maya longed to say everything and anything to slice his mind apart at the seams... she now clasped the moment in her out stretched hands.
"You may wonder, 'Why did Maya save me?' I been nothing but a nuisance, a literal spine in her mind, someone who she wished every day to kill.' And yes, that would be a good question."
She paused once more to pick as small amount of dust from her leather jacket, flinging it across the room in a nonchalant manner.
"I saved you on Akassa's behalf. It was no favor towards you, I care nothing for your decrepit mind whose words churn my mind with illness. The way you strut as though the universe sees you as a gem; you are nothing more than a pest one of which only amassed influence through his kin. If not for Akassa I would have killed you myself."
"For one reason, and that alone did I save you."
"I know my limits. I fall behind Akassa and yourself when it comes to strength. What I lack, I make up for in intelligence, pre-thought, tactical abilities that of which you lack. Without guidance, a pair of blinders to direct your path you alone would bring the Empire on to its knees as it bleeds from its slit veins."
Adjusting one leg over the other Maya leaned in ever so slightly to add emphasis for what she was going to say next.
"I share no blood with royalty of your kind, a blessing and cruse in the fact I would be related to you; but I care to see Akassa's rise above the rest and stay seated upon her throne till the sun's burn out. For that reason, you belong to me now. No longer will you act out through shear emotion, tear through others for the reason 'I felt like it'. This is a Empire, not a toy that when you grow bored with it you throw it away; and it is not yours to play with. Blessed you were that Akassa seems keen on keeping you about."
Stopping for a second for Nasu to gather his thoughts Maya stood from the chair making a small strides till she reached the opposing wall, with a turn she eased her backside onto its cool face.
"No longer shall you do what you wish, but what the Empire wishes; what my wishes are. Of course, I am not an unreasonable being. Live your life as one would normally, but think twice in your actions when Imperial matters come to rise, and they will. You can bark all you wish, but only bite when my voice commands so."
"With my mind, and your ...bulk, there's nothing we couldn't do for the Empire, for Akassa.... And if you think twice about trying to cross me and Akassa will really have to grieve over your corpse."
As much as Maya did care for Akassa, any move directed in a life threatening fashion was to be extinguished with no remorse even if it was the Queen's own blood.
It was then that Nasu saw it, for the first time a grin was spread from cheek to cheek from Maya; it was enough to make a shiver roll down anyone's spine.

"Part of me... wished you would never awaken." the robot said not bothering to hide the fact the two obviously hated each other and leaving Nasu unable to meet her eyes.
"Then why save me?" he asked quietly. He was no longer sore the sesnu bean had healed him completely and his Saiyan biology had left him feeling stronger than ever physically. It did nothing for his mind though. Thousands of questions raced through but for now he listened.
You may wonder, 'Why did Maya save me?' I been nothing but a nuisance, a literal spine in her mind, someone who she wished every day to kill.' And yes, that would be a good question." she said pausing a moment for effect.
Nasu wanted to dispute her words, to throw them back in her face, to tell her that he would have killed her with as much thought as one gives to stepping on a bug if it hadn't been for his sister. But millions of deaths in Central City sprung up in his mind and he just hung his head in silence. At least part of what she said was true. His mind was filled with an illness he couldn't fully comprehend. Maybe the robot had been right about him all along.
"For one reason, and that alone did I save you." she continued "I know my limits.
His head shot up his eyes glaring with raw unfiltered hatred. "Everything I've done, in my life. I've done for the Empire, and for my family. I gave up the chance at personal vengeance to save my brother, and my sister's lives. I sacrificed my own body time and again for the good of the Empire. You know nothing robot." his voice never rose, it was quiet conversational, but he could feel his heart beating faster and the venom in his tone.
"No longer shall you do what you wish, but what the Empire wishes; what my wishes are. Of course, I am not an unreasonable being. Live your life as one would normally, but think twice in your actions when Imperial matters come to rise, and they will. You can bark all you wish, but only bite when my voice commands so." she continued as if Nasu had not spoken, as if his words held no merit.
"With my mind, and your ...bulk, there's nothing we couldn't do for the Empire, for Akassa.... And if you think twice about trying to cross me and Akassa will really have to grieve over your corpse." she said having the balls to threaten him.
Nasu gave the robot a flat stare. "You saved my life, for whatever reason you choose to give I'm only breathing right now because of you. I know that, and I know I owe you a life debt. That said do not forget who you're threatening robot. I am the last Prince of the Saiyan race and one of the strongest men in the universe. My sister values your input and fuck, I'm even willing to admit you're probably smarter than me as you have access to the entire internet in what passes for your brain. So use that internet to google what happens to people who threaten those stronger than them. With our powers combined the Empire has already grown more than it has in the last thousand years. And it will continue to grow, under my sister's guidance. Not yours."

Nasu had questions, of that Maya had been sure of and she let him speak his peace; in the end of it all she met each one with answers of her own. She had been prepared for what he brought to the table no matter how small it might have been, Nasu was skillful when it came to dominating the fields of combat but this was Maya's domain now; a verbal war in which she had access to things that the light of day should never touch, the advantage was in her hands and ever so slowly it would wrap around Nasu's throat. Maya waited for what he had to say before she would jump into the mess he was creating for himself, with every word that left his mouth the metaphorical grave which he resided in grew all the deeper, before long the warming embrace of the sun would be a thing of the past.
"There seems to be a few misconceptions of what's been said." She spoke calmly as she flipped her hair off to one side of her face with the flick off her neck.
"Let's back track here for a moment shall we? You stated and I'm quoting.'Everything I've done, in my life. I've done for the Empire, and for my family.'" Maya's voice changed as the words which spewed from her mouth where in the voice of Nasu's, the exact thing he had said not moments before. A great distaste filled her body knowing that his voice managed to expel from her mouth but in the end of it all it was for the greater good.
"Sounds familiar, doesn't it?" Maya cocked her head towards one side with a quizzical look upon her face.
"Does that count for when you attempted to kill Akassa when you learned that your father Tyuso had been killed at her hand? When you tried to tear into her, the woman who was the shinning symbol of the Empire, was that for the Empire? To attack its Queen like a savage, and its only by the good graces of Akassa that you made here today." Maya stared at Nasu with a blank face yet her eyes told another story as they glimmered with a faint spark of a smile.
"I know nothing, now do I?" It was then that a small smirk spread across her face knowing she had backed Nasu into a corner.
"Everyone knows the foulest of most deeds you did that day. Had it been anyone but the flesh and blood of the Queen they would have been slaughtered on the spot. A true symbol of the Empire aren't you?" Seeming as if bored with drilling into Nasu Maya flexed her arms above her head with a brief yawn before turning her attention back on Nasu.
"Or how about this?" She turned towards a nearby monitor as its picture distorts as its replaced with a police report from many years ago.
"I did some digging; for my reasons alone, and I came across this. I knew you were a murder but this... this is a little obscene." She pointed towards the screen and began to read off a few key points.
"Mysterious murder strikes.... ten dead.... though homeless no Saiyan citizen should fall to the fate of this.... Oh and then there is this video...." As if showing off a slide show for a business meeting the screen shifted as a low resolution video filled its depths. Though hard to make out it appeared to be Nasu, at least a few years younger as he ran through the slums, blood smeared across his torn clothes.
"Now... if I were to compare the dates of this police report and the date of when this video was taken, do you think there would be a match?" Maya whispered softly with her reluctant attacks, knowing each would hit hard and true against his hypocritical ways.
"Yes. I can see now. Everything you do is for the Empire. Clearly." She crossed her arms over her chest and began to shake her head as if in agreeing with him.
Speaking up against Maya's threats and demands Maya could sense Nasu's anger growing all the more with every passing second, she would sure that any second he would lash out at her but as always she was prepared for this, she was prepared to do the correct deeds to stake her claim upon his whims.
"Prince? Please. Such a tittle only proves more to that fact that you a leech, having no real influence of your own but feeding off of that of Akassa's; for if she had not spared your life such a title would not be placed before your name. A prince is a peon above that of the common folk that thinks they matter but the reality of it your existence is nothing more than the rest which thrive under the illusion that them being alive will provide the universe with a benefit. You are nothing more than a child with a gun, deadly but once their tools are taken away they have nothing as they weep." Maya tore into Nasu once again, pressing his buttons awaiting for the snap to come upon her but her assault was not over as of yet.
"As for the non-sense about saving your life. Of course Akassa rules all within this space, there is no doubt about that; if she says jump I jump, no questions asked. I have no wish to usurp Akassa's words, so by all means do what she asks of you. But behind the scenes you do what I say, if Akassa wishes you to do something else then do it, otherwise sit upon your false throne and be the lap dog you were always meant to be." Maya scoffed softly as she turned towards the bay door; stopping on her heels she glanced back towards Nasu from over her shoulder.
"Oh. And I am much smarter than you will ever be for I do not fall into such a position as you have." Maya knew she had one this day, first the Earth and now a simple minded idiot... it was proving to be a good day.
