Zero stared, unfazed, as the human undressed before his eyes and asked for further instructions. He simply motioned towards the chamber, indicating that he should enter. "Considering your injuries, it should only take a few hours. Enter the chamber, you can ignore the cables, they are to monitor those in critical condition. Once I close the hatch, you will be engulfed in a green liquid with regenerative properties. Use the hanging mask to breath." Once the human did as he was told, everything would happen just as the android described. Zero would wait until Ethan had adjusted the mask over his face before closing the hatch. The mask had a built in speaker which would allow Ethan to communicate from within, as well as listen to Zero -although his hearing would be muffled by the liquid in his ears. Standing in front of the chamber, Model Zero turned his attention to a display screen next to the hatch. Ethan's body had been outlined by the liquid and shown on the device. Using thermodynamics, the machine displayed hot spots on the human's body, indicating -not which sections were hotter, but which would undergo the most work, which generated heat in the process. By analyzing the amount of heat radiating from that area, the android could calculate the approximate time for the tissues to rebuild themselves and return the human back to top shape without a single scratch. Of course, the machine made those calculations on its own, so the android didn't have to do it himself.
As expected, the hot-zones were Ethan's chest and midsection, which had retained most of the damage. Oddly enough, however, his crotch had sustained questionable damage. Such a thing was curious, but the android dismissed it promptly. Model Zero walked across the room, stopping by the door and leaning against the wall so he could see Ethan's face through the glass. He crossed his arms and waited patiently. If Ethan had anything to say, the android would remain available. However, Zero had a question of his own, which he had been meaning to ask. "You said you ran a school with your brother before Central City's destruction. Is he a messenger of FREE too?"

Standing there in his birthday suit, Ethan listened as Zero explained the mechanics of the medical pod, nodding as he went along. It appeared the only part he'd need attached to himself was the mask. Again the fleeting thought that Zero might used this very machine to subdue him entered the boy's mind, but once more was squashed by reason. Zero had already had several opportunities to do so and indeed was strong enough to kick his behind right now. If wouldn't make sense for the android to go through all that he had so far just to kill him or kidnap him. So without much more thought on the matter Ethan stepped past Zero and climbed into the chamber. The interior smelled like antiseptic, as one would expect from any medical device and within moments Ethan had affixed the respiration mask, checked that he could breath properly and then gave Zero a thumbs up. The liquid though that came into the chamber was a little bit of a surprise. While he was expecting it, the green fluid wasn't exactly bath water warm and it had a strange consistency to it, like thin pancake syrup.
"Ooo, this is weird." the boy commented as the pod continued to fill. and as the liquate was reaching his face it was at about that moment that he wished he had a pair of goggles. As much as Ethan was in tune with water, he still wasn't comfortable opening his eyes in it and this stuff was definitely not water. So as much as he'd like to keep seeing, Ethan shut his eyes as the fluid overtook him and floated in the darkness. After a few moments the boy could feel the machine doing... something. His skin was tingling all over as the machine scanned him and then the tingling localized, first around the most damaged section of his body, his middle, then his chest and the finally in a place he didn't at all expect.
"Oh shi... Holy cow..." the boy gasped as his lower regions came to life. He had no idea of Zero had turned on the intercom yet, if the android was even watching and if he was, if that window gave him sufficient range of vision to see his body's reaction to the medical machine. He doubted the android would care, after all the blue haired boy had stripped down right in front of him and the artificial man hadn't reacted at all, didn't even do so much as bat an eye. Still, it was one thing to get naked in front of someone for medical reasons, it was entirely another if one got "excited" in the process.
Trying to put that out of his mind but failing miserably as the stimulus didn't go away, Ethan listened to Zero's voice coming through on the headset in his mask and as the android had said, the sound was muffled and it took the boy a few moments to fully understand what he was hearing. "Uh, yeah, my brother and I rebuilt the Crane school. But I haven't seen him since the battle. I think he probably made it, he's way stronger then I am and I managed not to get blow up. He probably went back to the family compound, thinking I'd go there. Since I've been hiding out though he probably hasn't been able to find me since."

As Ethan spoke, Model Zero activated his built-in scouter to scan the power-levels throughout the globe. Honestly, from what the human had told him, Zero doubted his brother had survived the event. He had fought Akassa in a simulator once before, as well as other saiyans, and they all proved to be unpredictable and unforgiving savages. If Ethan's brother had truly been at the epicenter of the entire spectacle, he was extremely fortunate to escape with his life intact. What's more, he could not detect any other energy signatures with his scouter. He could detect Shun's and Ohkara's, but the planet was nearly void of any worthy fighter; not even Queen Akassa or the appointed governor were present, they were all on the moon doing what monkeys do on a moon... Whatever that is... Then again, Ethan was a decent warrior and he could mask his power-level to an amount so insignificant he blended with all the other mediocre energy signatures. Still, something didn't seem right. Over a month had passed since the saiyan invasion and he had still not heard from his brother?
"Something doesn't seem right," he said. "Ethan, if your brother feels as strongly as you about the freedom of Earth, wouldn't he have approached FREE by now?" Of course, what Zero meant was not to imply his brother has betrayed their people, hopefully Ethan wouldn't have interpreted it that way, but if his brother had not yet approached FREE, then it must have been because -for some reason, he was physically unable to do so. The possibilities were limitless. Akassa could have kept him as a war criminal, locked up somewhere on Earth or even the Moon -then again, why wouldn't have the Queen announced it? Certainly, seeing the faces of Earth's defenders in chains would help dwindle morale.

Floating in the medical fluid silently after having answered zero's question about his brother, Ethan listened as the android responded questioning the boy's answer. Ethan had thought about Kit from time to time, but he was not willing to entertain the possibility that his brother was gone, he was only missing, probably back at the family compound keeping them safe. That actually made the most sense, the compound was isolated from the world, no radio, no television, in fact Ethan's little music player was about the most high tech thing there until the boy's departure, so it was of no surprise that Kit might not have heard of Ethan's organization.
"You know, it's possible he hasn't tried to contact us because he doesn't know about us." Ethan replied. "If he went back to the family compound then it's likely he hasn't heard anything about FREE, we were kind of cut off from the world up there." the blue haired boy went on to explain.

Zero nodded although Ethan couldn't see him. What the human said made perfect sense, and convinced him that his brother might actually have survived. Still, being the realistic and objective observer that he was, the android had his doubts. His gaze fell to the floor as he pondered over the boy's words; perhaps, the real question was, why hadn't Ethan visited his home if he was so sure his sibling still drew breath. That, however, was a question the android would keep to himself. Part of him might have already known the answer. Having been around biological beings long enough, he had developed some kind of sensitivity for their explosive emotions. The android didn't know what it was like to have siblings and he didn't think he would ever find out. Even if Ivan created him some kind of "brother" or "sister" as they would call it, the creature probably wouldn't hold the same meaning Ethan's brother held in him. During the first days of his awakening, the android literally attempted conversation with toasters and all kinds of mindless contraptions with no sentience; he eventually recognized that none like him existed -until he met Ona and AEVA. Even then, they were just as dull as he was, if not colder and calculated. He could never even begin to comprehend the bond that existed between two siblings, but he knew enough to keep quiet about his suspicions. He gauged that Ethan had locked himself in his own bubble, one where his brother still lived. If he never visited his home, he would never have to find out whether he was wrong or right. He would never have to face the truth.
Instead of prying further into what might cause a burst of emotion from the human, the android decided to change the topic. "Ethan, If you would, I'd like to know what happened during the saiyan invasion." Zero already had a vivid idea of what happened thanks to the recordings and what he had surmised through careful reconnaissance, but he wanted to know every detail. Hearing it from someone who lived through the catastrophe was more valuable than any kind of information he could dig out in the alleys. He wanted to know about those who were involved, the ones he fell, the ones who stood beside Akassa. He wanted to know how the human felt during the situation. Whether knowing would help the android prepare for the missions to come was anyone's guess, but the android held the solid belief that knowledge is power. The more he knew, the better off he was. Perhaps Akassa had developed new techniques he had not discovered during their last fight?

As the medical tank continued to work it's magic, Ethan could feel the persistent ache that had been settled into his guts start to slowly fade. Likewise, the residual stinging of the skin on his chest had also subsided, although the other effect that the machine was having was starting to get rather distracting. Hormones were hormones after all, especially in one as young as Ethan and it didn't mater where the stimulation to trigger them came from. Still, he resisted the urge to try and relieve the problem himself as Zero was very likely watching from the view port and once more the boy had to winder just what kind of field of view that window had.
The talk of his brother was now a past subject as Zero moved their conversation on in a different direction, asking more specifically about the events that lead to the destruction of Central City. The boy didn't have all of the specifics, although he did record a good portion of the battle on his music player and that video record might provide some insight. Ethan had in fact meant to use the video in one of his broadcasts but feared that if that General he'd engaged in battle recognized the footage, the guise of his apparent death would be forfeit. Instead Ethan held onto the footage on the off hand that it might come in useful in the future.
"I don't know what I can tell you. The witch queen came down, made her little TV announcement and when I heard it I flew out to tell her she was making a mistake. We sort of knew each other from a simulator session I had with her before that. By the time I got there though a whole bunch of other people had shown up, a few I recognized, some others I didn't. She was completely unreasonable though, demanded we surrender the entire planet to her. Well, I didn't get to stick around, Kit told me it wasn't safe and ordered me back to the school to protect it. Lotta good that did. I think it was about that time that I turned my music player on, recorded a good chunk of what was going on. Anyway, this big blast just completely annihilated the place, I pulled the big shield I was building up in around me and faired pretty well. A friend of mine, Ethar, he met up with me and we tried to give the good guys a hand, but the city exploded again and again, I was tossed so far away and there was just so much power there that I couldn't do anything useful. By the time I recovered enough to move, the place was quiet." Ethan explained at length and then paused, waiting for Zero to respond.

Ethar, there was just one such person the android knew, but the android dismissed the thought. After all, what were the chances that they knew someone in common? Zero had mistaken the man for the bio-android, IIshavoh, in Beta Major and attempted to apprehend him. However, he was met with resistance and they fought. Ethar was no match for Zero in the end, but the android soon discovered that the man was not IIshavoh after all. Zero's gaze had settled on the floor as he assimilated what Ethan had been describing. He was putting all the pieces together to create a nearly perfect image: with what he had gathered from the city, and the numerous broadcasts, there was no doubt that the fight on Central City must have been as much a war as the one in Mement Mor -if Akassa had intended to, she could have destroyed the Earth, but doing that would just drive her own world into an endless and perilous journey around the universe.
He saw her, as he remembered her, descending among the populace with Maya, Nasu, and General Toa at her side. He had seen them all in the broadcasts and knew how they looked. They were the only ones Zero knew to be with her on that day; a fleet of ships were parked in orbit around Earth. She made her first announcement to the inhabitants, declaring her ascension to power. Immediately, warriors from all over the Earth would converge on her location to oppose the Queen of Saiyans. In his mind, Zero could see only Ethan, and then a fleet of shadows he could not identify. King Burradorri, the so-called Ethar, Kit... It made Zero think back to something his master had said back in Lupin IV while having supper with Shun. The words had triggered another vision within the android, portraying a namekian whom had uttered those same words to another man. Zero repeated these words so Ethan could hear them, thinking it might be something of meaning to the human.
"It is the select few who win their freedom..." The words would resound throughout the dome shaped room. It described how only 1% of Earth's entire populace had the power required to potentially stop an assault on their home. How, even within that 1%, they were unable to stop Akassa despite the overwhelming numbers against her. The power she wielded was just too much! Lining up twigs next to each other made it harder to snap, but with the right sword, one would slice through them like butter.

Spending so much time with his eyes closed in the weightless environment of the medical chamber was starting to have an effect on Ethan besides the tingling sensation around his body, the boy was starting to get drowsy. Sure talking was keeping him awake somewhat as was that nagging stimulation that he was trying to ignore, but slowly the heaviness of sleep was creeping in on him. Whether it was a tranquilizer introduced in the medical system or just his own exhaustion winning out, Ethan found it hard to keep his thoughts lucid. Zero hadn't said anything to him in some time and without the back and forth communication, the boy's sense of time started to slip. There were words, far off and indistinct, the nude teen's mind not able to properly parse the information anymore. The blackness of his vision took on a whole new depth as Ethan drifted off to sleep, the physiological readings on the teen's body displayed outside the chamber, indicating this. It would be some time before the young man would return to the land of consciousness, perhaps even through the end of the medical cycle. One thing was for certain though, the young man needed that rest, two fights in one day was a bit much for him, especially when one of those was under more gravity then he'd ever experienced.

Several hours had passed since the human had succumbed to sleep. Once the chamber could no longer detect injuries, it would emit a low beeping sound to awaken Ethan as the green liquid was gradually drained from the healing chamber. The human would feel completely refreshed, perhaps even stronger! Only moments later, the hatch would open up on its own, allowing Ethan to exit it. The human would soon discover he was alone. His clothes had been where he had left them. However, if he focused, he could hear the faint sound of ki blasts. The ship would tremble slightly on occasion. Model Zero had long since retired from the sick bay once Ethan had fallen asleep. Restless as always, the android would take the time to train on his own under higher gravity. His sword and gun were left aside as he maneuvered between the successive ki blasts and deflected others with his bare hands. The android wanted to master the new fighting style Ethan had taught him. He wanted to learn how to fight and defend himself with his hands as soon as he could, the ability would come in handy when he finally stood face to face against the Queen of Saiyans.

As the sedation of the medical unit wore off and Ethan's well rested body, fully revitalized from the day's events, started to stir, the tank started to drain. Once he was against fully awake and aware of his surroundings, the machine continued it's drain cycle until he was left standing in the chamber. After another moment the system switched to a rinse cycle, not unlike an elaborate shower, allowing the teen to wash the remaining green goo off of him. The chamber opened shortly after and Ethan replaced the mask to where he'd pulled it from as was about to call for Zero to let him know he was out when the muted thudding down of energy discharges met his ears. Picking up his pants, the boy dressed quickly and headed back to the training chamber, the source of the thudding sounds. The control panel on the exterior did indeed indicate that the unit was in operation and after a few moments of looking the controls over, Ethan found a paging function and was able to call into the chamber before entering.
"Hey Zero, it's me Ethan." the boy announced. "I finished with the medical room and am feeling a lot better. I'm going to shut the gravity off for a moment while I come in so make sure what ever you're doing in there isn't aimed at the door."
Following a few moments for Zero to ensure nothing was going to strike the door and to also prepare himself for the shifting gravity, Ethan shut the graviton generator down while leaving the simulation in progress and opened the door, entered and resealed it as quickly as possible. Turning to see just what it was that the android was up to, Ethan was impressed to see the red armored man jumping, ducking and weaving between energy blasts launched by a simulated opponent. Not wanting to interrupt more then he already did, the boy turned to the panel at the door and re-enabled the gravity, although now at the same level they had been using earlier. As before the sudden heaviness hit the shirtless teen like a ton of bricks, but in his revitalized state, the blue haired boy was able to stand up to it decidedly better then before. Then, from his vantage point at the door, Ethan watched Zero continue his training regime, making sure to keep an eye on the simulated opponent incase the computer decided that he was fair game as well.

Ethan's voice came through the intercom in the room, announcing that he would soon enter. Model Zero prepared for the instance by luring his simulated opponent away from the door. Dozens of energy blasts were cast at the android just as Ethan shut off the gravity. In that instant, the shift in pressure almost made the android jump off the ground, slightly hindering his defensive stance, but he was much faster now. As the energy blasts approached him, the android's hands moved rapidly to deflect the incoming attacks even as the human entered the room. The chamber was filled with bursting light and a guttural roar bulging off the domed walls as sound waves alone threatened the foundation of the chamber.
At the end of the barrage, Zero lunged forward, backed by a powerful leap and rammed his fist into the opponent. The simulated Queen of Saiyans had been lifted off her feet and dragged across the room by the android's concentrated punch. They must have been displaced at least three meters before Zero's feet settled on the ground and the saiyan's body left his fist, propelling her into the wall. Her image would soon fade, and the dimmed lights would become bright, marking the end of his session. Model Zero turned to Ethan, having just noticed that the gravity had been turned back on. Zero was become so adept to the shifts that his body was beginning to neglect the effects of considerably smaller intensities.
"How are you feeling?" the android asked, of course, it was nothing but human learned etiquette. Zero already knew how Ethan felt, he knew all his wounds were healed and the human probably hadn't felt better in his life. The androids 'concern' was really a pretense to his true desire: to continue their training session. Ethan would notice that Zero did not appear worn out in the slightest. His voice had not changed, and his body demonstrated no sign of stress. Zero could literally train for months on end.

As Ethan watched zero deflect blasts from the simulated opponent, he wasn't at all surprised that the android had chosen Akassa for the simulation's form, she was after all their enemy. Though on some other level the boy was a little hurt that Zero hadn't chosen his image to battle against, after all it was Ethan who was teaching him and why not have the simulation computer maintain his teacher's image while he practiced. It was likely just the boy's vanity showing and he paid the feeling no real attention, just stood by and watched as Zero finished the match with a killer blow to the simulations midsection. Ok, maybe now he was a little more hurt, that definitely should have been his image. Chuckling at the thought Ethan smiled to Zero when he turned to face him and asked how he was feeling.
"Pretty good actually." the shirtless teen replied. "Feel like I could go another two or three rounds with you if that's what you want. Otherwise I could show you some more techniques and moves. Which ever you prefer. Oh, nice finish there by the way." Ethan added with a cheeky grin.

The android nodded. The system would soon activate and transport them to another location, this time, randomized. Zero's long golden hair would flow with the sudden simulated breeze as the area around them morphed. The monitors were now stretched and widened into large mountains. The domed walls expanded and faded into an endless expanse of dry land. The red soil was almost like powder at its surface, but just beneath that layer remained hard molten rock. Nearby, a small basin of water had been formed, reflecting the orange skies of dawn as the sun began to rise at the horizon. Model Zero adapted his practiced stance with his right foot forward and the left trailing behind. His left arm hid behind his waist while the other hovered over his bent knee towards Ethan. "I would like to learn more." he said.
Zero couldn't put his finger on it, but something about this just felt... right.
