Arctic made his way to his private viewing box, he hadn’t been paying attention to the other matches. Hearing the winners from his Queen, she had watched every match so far. As Arctic walked through the doors, two Icejin saluted him while stepping to the side. He could see his Queen already seated waiting for the match to begin. Arctic took his place by his queens side, she looked over at him and smiled. Arctic grabbed her hand, looking out the huge glass window that was before them. Normally he would be taking care of other things, but the Queen said he would find this match particularly interesting. The fight he was watching was Snow vs. Frigid, two Icejin’s that Arctic has gotten to know. He found it interesting to see which one would come out victorious in their fight.
”Are you ready to see which one of your Icejin warriors is going to continue on to the final match my Lord.”
”Actually yes I am interested to see which one of these two are going to win this little fight. This should be a interesting match, I hope neither of them disappoint the Icejin race.”
”I am sure neither of them are going to disappoint you my Lord. Both of these warriors are strong and have the will to win. As long as we aren’t interrupted by any business I am sure you will enjoy the match.”
”Well I am sorry to disappoint you my dear, but there is going to be an interruption any minute now. Apparently some scientists have been working on something, they have recently finished their work and want to show me. I told them to meet me here, it shouldn’t take too long, but you never know with scientists they love to talk and talk and show off how smart they are.”
Arctic could see the look of disappointment and anger in his wife’s face, but there was nothing he could do about it now. No doubt the scientists were already on their way here and would be walking through the door at any moment now. Within a few seconds after thinking the thought an Icejin slowly entered the viewing box.
“I am sorry to disturb you my Lord but there is a small group of scientists out here. They say that you told them to bring their work here. Do you want them to come in?”
”Yes, have them come in lets get this over with so I can enjoy the fight.”

Man's command for the day was to be on his best behaviour. The scientists had been extra nice to him as they were strict as well. They kept muttering how he was about to meet with the king, that they should hurry and stick to the point. His armor was even polished to the point it could blind an amaurotic person. They walked briskly across the corridor which led to the master's private room. They could have probably chosen a better time to do so, when he wasn't trying to watch some pointless game between two brainless tweets drawing blood from each other. This, on the other hand, was in his interest. The king wanted to bring the Icejin race back to its former glory; although the scientists were technically working with both Alpha Prime and Beta Minor, they were inclined more towards the Icejin lord.
The man standing guard at the door would take a quick look at the bundle of aliens dressed in white cloaks, turning towards the door he smirked at himself, intent to laugh in their faces. It wasn't until a few seconds that he returned, stating they were free to enter and have their audience. The first thing Man noticed as he entered the room was how big it was, from where they were, they had a perfect view of the current match.
"My lord," one of them spoke, bowing lightly as the rest followed. Man wasn't really briefed on the ettiquete required when meeting their leader, so he stood there with a dumb look on his face. He wasn't just staring though, he was calculating the Icejin's powerlevel with his new and improved built-in scouter. The numbers were so high he actually had to close an eye to cope with the excess information. Though he didn't feel fear. The scientists told him he was a machine without emotions, he was incapable of feelings such as anger, saddess and fear. His chest was beating again, he didn't understand why though, it was that warm sensation again.
The leading scientist, Ivan, looked at the room cautiously for any form of camera or microphone that could hear in on their conversation. "Many days ago, a machine fell from the sky and onto our planet. We had to reconstruct it, and after doing so we discovered something of the likes we've never seen. In your interests, we have thoroughly tested and trained this robot to one-day erradicate the saiyans," he glanced towards the door, "-and then take over Alpha Prime."
"He is still plenty a ways to go, but we have brought him here today to ask for your blessing," The scientists spread open, leaving Man in the center. Arctic stood waiting for the guard at the front door to let the group of alien scientists in with their new experiment. It only took a few seconds for the group to enter the private viewing box. Arctic took notice of the group of white coated scientists all in a group surrounding their new experiment. All of them bowed in respect to him, all of them except for their new experiment. He stood starring at Arctic, Arctic just smirked at the new experiment that stood before him. As the scientists returned to their upright position they began to speak about their new creation. The red and black armored looking Human, now was once again surrounded by scientists.
"Many days ago, a machine fell from the sky and onto our planet. We had to reconstruct it, and after doing so we discovered something of the likes we've never seen. In your interests, we have thoroughly tested and trained this robot to one-day erradicate the saiyans," he glanced towards the door, "-and then take over Alpha Prime." He is still plenty a ways to go, but we have brought him here today to ask for your blessing," The scientists spread open, leaving Man in the center. "I present to you, Model Zero"
”Well you might want to watch what you say about eradicating the saiyans ad taking over Alpha Prime. You never know where Zex’s spies are, there is no doubt it my mind thie room has something in it connected back to him. But this robot you speak of, this model Zero could be of great use to me. You are all free to leave now, but your experiment is going to remain with me for the time being.”
Arctic turned his Queen, she didn’t look back at him, she wasn;t happy with his decision but there was nothing else he could do. This Model Zero was going to be of great use to Arctic if the future, all he needed to do was get to the proper Power Level. Before he could do any of the things that the scientists programmed him for. Arctic took a few minutes to look the robot over, it was clear that his armor was polished for presentation. Smirking Arctic looked back at his Queen.
”My Queen why don’t you introduce yourself to our new recruit here.”
Slowly rising from her chair, she walks over to Arctic turning to face Model Zero ”Greetings Model Zero I am the Queen of all Icejin, it looks like you are going to be working for my Lord. Now what do you refer to yourself as?”

Ivan was caught off-guard by the lord's request. He gawked in disbelief, glancing at Model Zero and then at the Icejin King. Dare his lips utter an objection, he stopped them at the tongue before he spoke something which could very well have him glared at by their ruthless ruler. "Yes, my lord," the scientists bowed before him and turned towards the door. Ivan and Model Zero shared a glance one final moment before he made his leave. He had already been told what he needed to know beforehand. The Icejin Lord, Arctic, was to be obeyed as one of his masters. Model Zero's origins were unknown, but his goal was loud and clear. The android was to be trained until he reaches the power required for such an ambitious task as eliminating the dreadful saiyans. And now that he had been officially connected with their leader, his future was settled in stone. Nothing would derail him from his path.
"Man," he responded. The android was of an expressionless and stoic demeanor. His voice was of a young man, but it was dry and void of emotion. His eyes were deep black pools that looked through people, and a shining gem embedded in his forehead as a solid part of his visage. The entirety of his face was covered by the red casket-like armor which seemed to be jointed with his head like an Icejin's armor. One might appreciate just how much he actually resembled the lord's race with the armor forming part of his body and the cold gem. It was almost as if he was meant to be here since birth. Fate had bounded him to the Icejin King and the destiny which awaited him in the far, yet quite near future.

Arctic could tell that the group of scientists was caught off guard by his request for them leaving. Their presence in the observation box was no longer required, Arctic wanted to see how Model Zero would act without them around. There was no doubt they had told him to act on his best behavior, it looked like the head scientist was about to say something, but caught himself. A wicked smirk came across, it was for the scientists best interest to keep his mouth shut. They had done their job, now it was time for Arctic to take control of their little experiment. The Queen had asked the robot what Model Zero referred to himself as.
“Man” The robot replied, with an expressionless face
”Man? You call yourself Man, you have got to be kidding me out of everything that you could possibly call yourself its Man.”
Arctic begins to laugh at this new fact, hardly believing this robot that stood before him called himself Man. Turning around to watch a little bit of the match Arctic notices Snow raining a flurry of Blows at Frigid. Their fight was only in the beginning , and Arctic was missing this by talking to some scientists experiment that called himself Man. Shaking his head, Arctic turns back around to face Man.
”Well that sounds like a good name for you, then Man it is then.”[/ciolor]
Shaking his head once again ” Well others might call you Man, but I am going to call you Zero. You should think about changing your name to that, sounds a hell a lot better than Man. So Zero those scientists tell me you want to eradicate the Sayian Race? Well that sounds like a plan to me, but you are going to have to grow in power before that can even be remotely possible for you.” Arctic turns around once again.
”My Lord I think we should let him call himself whatever he sees fit, making someone change their name isn’t something we should worry about.” The Queen stated taking her seat next to Arctic.
”I am not telling him to change anything I am just telling him what I will be referring to him as. Now Zero come take a seat over here and watch the two finest warriors in this tournament.”

Man bundled his eyebrows out of concern, though his expressions were veiled by the head armor over his face. He could not understand why the Icejin lord was laughing, but everyone reacted the exact same way whenever asked for his name. Instead, they adopted the given name by his master, 'Zero'. But that name was so unfitting, he thought. Zero is an empty number, it does not exist. And although he may not have a living, breathing heart like the rest, he was still there standing before them. He was not Zero, he was an android. The Icejin sitting beside the king was different though, but he was not informed of her status. An android could not hope to understand the need for living creatures to mate. He could not discern the difference between men and women, they were all the same to him.
The android gazes blankly at the large being, failing to understand what he was saying. "I want to eradicate the Saiyans?" he rhetorically repeated. Man had never been asked whether he 'wanted' to commit genocide against a particular race. Perhaps it was one of the subjects the scientists wished to inform the Icejin before they were so readily dismissed. Model Zero was deep in thought, calculating and formulating a logical response. "I guess... if it is my master's wish, then I do."
He accepted the seat offer as if it were a demand. Before them was a large panoramic glass window with a bird's eye view of something Man could only guess was a bowl of Icejin soup. He had never seen so many creatures gathered together in one place, the room filtered their screams but he could still feel the vibrations of their voices collectively rocking the stadium. And they were all focusing their attentions to two other individuals displayed at the center. One of them were large with excess vestigial horns and a stretched out face, while the other was small and scrawny.
Man frowned, reaching for the handle of his saber, he jumped out of the seat. "Is he in trouble." his voice was dry and expressionless as always, but held a sense of urgency. He didn't seem to understand the idea of fighting for sport. Whenever there were people fighting, it was serious and all the angry people screaming around them only helped to reinforce his hypothesis. If Arctic didn't calm him down, it wouldn't be long before he had broken through the glass and attack the elongated Icejin.

Arctic sat listening to Man repeating the question about him wanting to eradicate the saiyans. Apparently the group of scientists had not told him of his purpose, Arctic shook his head at the stupidity of them. It seemed that Man didn’t know much about what was going on in Omega of why they ever built him in the first place. Arctic had no time to explain everything to him, Man was just going to have to figure that out on his own. Then man began to say something about his masters wish, Arctic figured he was talking about himself. The saiyans were an annoyance, but this robot was far too weak to take on any of the Saiyan warriors just yet.
Looking out of the glass window he could see Frigid and Snow fighting in the center on the arena. He looked to his right to see Man seeming to enjoy what he was watching, Arctic couldn’t really tell. Then looking to his left he sees his Queen, and on her he can tell she is enjoying the match. This is probably going to be the only fight that Lord Arctic actually will watch. Out of the two Icejin that entered the tournament he was curious to see what one would be stronger than the other.
Whispering to Arctic ”So what are you going to have Man do when the tournament is over?”
”To be honest I don’t know what I am going to do with him, I might introduce him to Snow and have Snow train him. Snow has told me he wants to make the Icejin the most dominate race again. It seems like those two will be a good fit together. We will have to see what happens after the match then I will decide.”
”That does seem like a good idea, Man doesn’t seem to know too much about how you operate or handle business. Hopefully he pans out like the scientists have said. They better not be wasting your time with Man.”
Suddenly Arctic’s attention was brought back to Man as he jumped out of his seat yelling is he in trouble. Arctic began to laugh at Man’s confusion, clearly he had never seen a tournament before. Arctic slowly stood up from his seat, placing a hand on Man’s shoulder.
”Clearly you have never seen a tournament before have you Zero. Well there is no need to worry, those two have agreed to fight each other. Who ever comes out victorious will continue on to the next round and fight someone else. This continues until there are only two combatants left, the final two combatants fight and the winner of that match wins the tournament and is crowned the best warrior in the Galaxy, minus myself of course. Then that person will be awarded the grand prize whatever that may be.”
”So you see Man there is nothing to worry about you can sit back down and enjoy the fight if you wish.”

Man's eyes were fixed urgently on the elongated life-form in the ring. He looked almost feral with his scrutinizing gaze, but the Icejin Lord's pat on the shoulder snapped him out of it. Man glared at the thing from afar as if second-guessing the master's words, but soon enough he subsided and loosened his grip on the saber. 'Enjoy the fight', he thought, sitting back down on the leather seat as requested. Man was benighted to the concept of enjoying a fight. He could not understand the demand he was given, though it seemed the only thing he needed to do for now was relax and watch.
But unlike others, Man wasn't watching; he wasn't sitting down like the King, smirking at himself as the scrawny Icejin futilely launched an ice blast at the larger foe. Man was as stern as a judge, calculating their power-levels and memorizing their strengths and weaknesses. Not only was the Icejin gravely outmatched power-level wise, but his physique was also much smaller and thinner compared to his opponent; whom had both power and endurance on his side. In that moment, he had already determined the victor.
"I do not understand the purpose of this activity," he said, maintaining his gaze on the match. "It is already clear who the victor will be..."
To Zero, the numbers could not lie. It had not occurred to him that there was a missing variable in his equation: the possibility that the rawboned Icejin was capable of enhancing his own powers. The idea was lost to him as to why someone would refrain from using such transformation when it was the most logical solution. Clearly he was outmatched in his current state, implying he could not transform since he was still attacking. After-all, the goal is to win, why purposefully sabotage yourself?

Arctic watched as Man returned to his seat, smirking at the robot’s complete bliss about a tournament. It was very clear to Arctic that Man had a lot to learn before he could do anything worth while. Arctic took his seat as well, the Queen placing her hand on top of his. Arctic watched Snow and Frigid fight, it was getting intense, but Arctic knew who was going to win this match he just wasn’t going to say anything about it. Arctic’s attention was brought back to Man as he claimed that he didn’t understand the purpose of the activity. That to him it was clear who the winner was going to be, all Arctic could do was smile at the robots bliss.
”Oh really Man you think you know who the winner is? Well I think you should enlighten us on how you came to that conclusion.”
”To answer your first statement, the purpose of this is to see who is the strongest warrior in the galaxy. Like I said earlier, all the people are here to find out who that is. There is something about two people beating the hell out of each other that gets people excited. So Zero this is probably going to be something that you aren’t going to understand, but you are just going to have to accept it.”

Just as she had was requested, Zero decided to explain to them the reasoning behind his blunt declaration. Though he didn't know their names, he would describe them. "Statistics." He started, "The larger icejin possesses a power-level of 56,975 while the other has a power-level of 14, 434. As you can see, the former far surpasses its opponent in both fighting capacity and stature. While his attacks are stronger, his body is larger and -as a result- can sustain and resist much more attacks than the latter." Without a doubt, Man's calculations were purely based on science. He admitted, with all things said, the larger icejin didn't seem to use all his power as effectively as expected. He had allowed his hand to become frozen by the smaller combatant, but he quickly made a comeback by redirecting his attack and freezing the ceiling -another mistake in Model Zero's opinion-. Having a larger body than his opponent, the cascade of frozen spikes would become more of a hindrance to him than his opponent, though his skill seemed to save face for him.
Then, when the smaller fighter grew into a form which resembled the other, his power-level rose considerably larger. In that moment, Zero was caught between two stools. His face remained expressionless, though his body-language clearly stated he was experiencing that 'rush' the King spoke about. Man hadn't realized it, but his body had brought itself to the edge of his seat and his head was leaning towards the glass as the newly empowered warrior destroyed the stage they stood on and took flight.
There is something about two people beating the hell out of each other that gets them excited.
But then, the other icejin rose from the ground in pursuit and blasted him from the sky. After that, the audience went wild, angry faces everywhere. Man had been correct in his hypothesis, though perhaps not for the reasons he spoke. If anyone had made a mistake -it was the icejin who refrained from transforming from the very beginning and depended on the small chance that his opponent might not be able to fly. Zero wouldn't have relied on chances. Regardless, the android was brought back to knowing absolutely nothing. Everyone was leaving the stadium, though they clearly still had plenty of fight in them.
"What's going on?" Man inquired, unaware that the battle had ended the way he had predicted.

Arctic and the Queen listened to Man explain his statement on how the larger of the two icejins was going to win. Arctic knew that he was talking about Frigid, but didn’t explain that to him. HE listened to Man run of their power level. He was impressed that he was able to tell him their exact power level number. Again another good reason Arctic would keep the robot around. Putting his attention back on Man, he continued to listen to him talk about the match. Arctic looked back at the fight, noticing that Snow had now gone into his Brute form. Looking back at Man he could see that he was at the edge of his seat, putting all his attention on the fight.
A smirk came across Arctic’s face, weather Man had realized it or not he was getting interested in the match. Looking back at the match, something interesting happened, it appeared that Snow had destroyed the ring that they were fighting in. The Icejin lord wondered what was going to happen next, if either of them touched the ground they were going to get disqualified, and the match would be over. Then something very interesting happened, Frigid hit snow with an attack, that would send Snow slamming into the ground. Arctic could hear the roar of the crowd, he didn’t expect the match to end this way. Snow was clearly the more powerful of the two, but maybe his taking too long to Transform was his downfall.
“What’s going on?” Man said
”The match is over with Man, Frigid has become victorious and will move onto the next round.””
”You see Zero if one of the fighters hits the ground out of the arena then they are disqualified. Both fighters must remain in the ring at all times, so destroying the ring probably wasn’t a good idea. It may not make sense but it is a rule that has always happened at tournaments. So Man how did you enjoy the match?”
Arctic would get up from his chair, walk over to the door and motion to the guards to let the scientists back into the room if they were still waiting around outside. Turning around he would go back an dsit down next to his Queen and Man

Noted, Man thought sinking back into the leather seat as he assessed the new found data into his storage memory. There was so much he had not yet known about the culture of living beings. Since the moment he was awakened from his slumber he had only know fights as a means to an end. If two individuals were fighting, it was because they had something to prove to the other. If Zero fought it was because his ideals -better said, his master's ideals, differed from the target or the target was simply dangerous and needed to be relinquished. Today, however, he had learned of a phenomenon called entertainment. He himself could not grasp the significance of such a thing though he had benightedly experienced it himself just moments ago; to feel some sense of satisfaction by observing others perform and live as you would.
The scientists entered upon request, rubbing their hands with greed. Of course, they were in the King's best interests, but even he could not afford to have Model Zero maintained and upgraded to optimum state without funding their research. Man stood from his chair upon detecting the presence of his master. Ivan was clearly anticipating great pay for their endeavors and grinned gleefully in return to the King.
"I trust everything has gone well?" the scientist lulled.

Arctic enjoyed watching two Icejins battle against each other, probably the most interesting fight that he has watched in this entire tournament. HE looks over at Man who has leaned back in his leather chair. There was no doubt he was assessing everything that he has learned in the short while he was with Arctic. Arctic wasn’t much of a man of Science, but this time his scientists have actually done something worthy of his attention. He was going to turn Man into a weapon for his use. Looking over to his Queen he can see that she also enjoyed the fight. Arctic could hear the door behind them open and the scientists once again entering the observation box.
“I trust everything has gone well” The scientist said smiling at the king
”It appears that you scientists have actually created something here that can be of use to me. I think it would be good for our friend here to remain at my side here. There are a lot of things I need to teach him about the world and how everything works. Knowledge is power and this Man right here is a blank slate at the current moment.” Arcitc said placing a hand on Man’s shoulder
”Well it seems like our Lord likes your little experiment here Ivan. It appears your funding isn’t going to waste after all. Please keep up the good work.”
”Yes, I am thankful that your funding is actually going for something that is of use to me. If you will excuse me I must be going there is business that I have to take care of. I will leave Zero in your hands for the time being, but I will be sending someone for him when my business is concluded.”
Arctic and his Queen leave the room leaving Man alone with the scientists.

Ivan was most pleased to have heard the Lord's news. Man stumbled for a moment as an unexpected hand dropped on his scrawny shoulders and threatened to flatten him on the spot. The scientists were a bit unsure about handing Model Zero to the king COMPLETELY. They felt they might lose control of the situation if they did not have access to the android. Regardless, being an android, the king would need to continue to allow them access to Model Zero for repairs, maintenance, and potential upgrades. Not to mention, they were the only ones who understood how he functioned. Ivan had no worries. His only concern was finding out where he was going to stow away all that money...
"Yes, my lord." the scientists bowed before him as Arctic and his queen made their exit. Man, as usual, remained oblivious to the status quo. Perhaps the scientists should take the time in educating the android about the culture of living beings. For now, though, they had other plans.
"We must return to the lab, Zero," Ivan informed. The android turned his attention to his master and nodded submissively. "We have a new mission for you involving a certain... android. We need you to track him down and get as much information as possible."
Man looked down at the photo handed to him by the professor. The image was taken from a security camera in the lab facilities. Man could only guess that it happened during his meeting with Lord Arctic. The android in the picture was belied by his appearance, which implied he was a normal teenage human with short brown hair and light skin. Man absorbed all the information instantly.
