It was quite in the halls of the royal guest area on Omega. The crown prince walked alone, lost in his thoughts. He had recently returned from quite the traumatic situation on a ship owned by Malice, a bishop in the Universal Church of One. He had been tortured, and then made king of their race… he was still processing. It had been like a dream, one that he wasn’t sure he was fully awake from. His nights were haunted by dreams of Iblisian torture rooms. Of the vile things they had done to him. Of Liliana, who had been his savior and was now his right hand in ruling the race. Lilith had inquired to what happened when he had returned, but he didn’t go into much detail and she didn’t press. She could see how it had affected him.
The torture… he had gone through so much that most of it was blacked out, though it came back in his nightmares… He looked up and down the hall he was in and swore for a moment he was being followed, but no one was there in either direction just more empty corridor, doors lining either side. He didn’t know what part of the royal guest area he was in; he just simply let himself wander. It wasn’t like anyone really posed him much of a threat, unless Prometheus Zex himself showed up wanting a fight, but then they’d have bigger problems on their hands then wouldn’t they?
Still he was lost in thought, his eyes mentally tracing the outline of his body in his mind. There were plenty of new scars there from the tournament, his dealings with the church, and all other time spent on Omega. There were plenty of emotional scars there now as well. How could there not be? After everything…
His mind was on other things as he stepped out into the streets. Had he been paying attention he would have recognized the young man he bumped into so rudely. It may have been serendipitous that he did so, because that young man was none other than Willie Watson, a human that Ninjin had briefly seen before, and had heard about in the competition. Ninjin looked at the boy and apologized, but took a second look once he realized who it was.
“sorry about that, my mind is other places.” Was it true what they said about him? Had he turned into something other than the young man he saw in front of him during the tournament? Or was that just speculation and hearsay, he metaphorically becoming something other than he was or what he appeared to be by fighting in a way no one suspected. Ninjin in all his curiosity had to find out.
“Don’t I know you from somewhere? My name is Ninjin. Ninjin Hattori.” The best way to go about getting to know someone is letting yourself be known, and the Hattori name carried weight almost everyone one could go in the new universe.

It had been a busy day and William didn’t feel safe at all. He had received another big delivery; apparently his reputation had begun to grow within the business. However, the last few blocks have been making the poor boy more and more anxious. It came to him, the feeling of someone watching him; following him. It was a haunting presence and was quite distracting as, despite searching, he could see nothing but shifting shadows.
So distracting that he did not see the royal red before him as he bumped into the crown prince of the saiyan race; Ninjin Hattori. Turning around he was quite surprised, having assumed that the prince would have returned to the pleasantries of castle life by now. Though he was incredibly impressed by the saiyan’s fighting prowess and unimaginable perseverance, he cared little for the man.
“Sorry about that, my mind is other places.”
He was rude and arrogant, in the few times Willie had been in his presence he had all but ignored his existence nevertheless his words. The young Watson had always been taught by his loving mother to treat all others the way you’d like to be treated. Even if others treated him unwell, he tried his best to keep himself cordial.
“Don’t I know you from somewhere? My name is Ninjin. Ninjin Hattori.”
From the corner of his eye, Zasham could’ve sworn he saw something; lurking as it circled its now still prey. The pull of the heavy weights, handed to him by his new master, tugged at the corner of his stretching sanity. It was an overbearing presence which constantly strained the young human, though he was told if he removed them that “they would be shoved up his ass.” Willie believed Vespasian without question.
“Yes, Prince Ninjin, I am William Watson. I participated in the tournament, under the name Zasham due to some… Mix up at the office. We’ve met a few times, pleasure to meet you again.”
Willie said coldly as he looked about, trying to find the pursuers to assuage his own budding insanity. There were always people looking to disrupt a Delivery; the goods they carried were often beyond value.
“Mr. Watson, how nice to see you again.”
A well-dressed man in black adorning shades and matching fedora appeared from nowhere, standing in the middle of the street. Citizens around him moved away; sensing something entirely evil about him. With a soft smile he took several steps forward as he looked over both William and Ninjin. Pausing, the man lifted his hat and ran pale fingers through his midnight hair before replacing the fedora.
“Mr. Hattori, this is of no consequence to you. Once we have the acquired the package from Mr. Watson, we will be on our merry way.”
He said coolly, his accomplices appearing just as he muttered the word “we.” They; a tall brutish man known as Kathos, and his far smaller partner, Drazi, stood on the opposite side of the two men. William didn’t recognize any of them; as Zasham was in control last they met. Though the pain he inflicted on the pair was evident in the hateful gazes visited upon the apparent human.
“I don’t know who you are but you are not getting the package.”
Watson declared with meager defiance. Never the brave or courageous type, young Willie did have vetted work ethic. It was this intangible push to perform his duties which ushered him on, though these men would undoubtedly wish to cause harm to him or his acquaintance. He didn’t know what role Ninjin would play in this; or if his feelings towards the man held merit.

William Watson didn’t seem very “pleasured” by the presence of Ninjin Hattori. Though it would be wrong to say that Ninjin was surprised by this. The Saiyan was truly sorry for running into the young boy, but completely understood his reaction. In their prior meetings Ninjin had been cold and had all but ignored him. He didn’t expect the boy to recognize the change within him since their last meeting, but was going to be much nicer to him. The boy seemed preoccupied as well, as if thoughts were weighing him down as much as they were the prince. He kept looking about, as if expecting someone to come out of nowhere, which is exactly what happened.
“The pleasure is mine Willie. I must say I was a complete ass the last time we met, and I apologize for that.” Before he could get much more of an apology out, a very well dressed man came out of the crowd, appearing very suddenly. He had a look about him that he was up to no good. He seemed to recognize Willie, and even went so far as to address him by name. The crowd nearby moved away from him, seemingly feeling the same aura the man possessed that Ninjin himself felt. Maybe it was the fedora, but something was very off about this man.
Then he addressed Ninjin by his name. Though this wasn’t very surprising, after all Ninjin had been one of the most talked about members of the tournament and was the crown-prince of the Saiyans. It was how he addressed the prince, and what was said after he addressed him. Who was he to say what concerned Ninjin and what didn’t? This man gave him the wrong feeling and he had only met mere seconds ago. What was the package that Willie carried that concerned the man?
Two men stepped out of the crowd, leering at the young man in front of him. What did these three men want with Willie, and what was so important in the package that would cause them to act thusly? Whatever it was, Ninjin didn’t like it. It may not be his business, but he was going to make it his business. Ninjin stepped in front of Willie, shielding him from the three men. Willie said he didn’t know them,
“The young man here says he doesn’t know you, thus you aren’t the intended target for whatever his package contains. I think you men should move along.” He said so in a very thinly veiled threat. Willie Watson may be lacking in bravery and courage but Ninjin Hattori was most certainly not.

The day only grew stranger as events progressed. Men who claimed to have met him have stalked the poor boy for several blocks before finding an opportune moment for confrontation. To his right were a short man with a crew cut wearing brown pants and a green over dark green striped shirt, and a far taller, bulkier male with a bare chest, wild dark grey hair and pants to match. To his left stood an ominous figure clad in midnight and mystique. Finally, before him stood none other than the prince of the saiyans himself. Things were escalating rather quickly.
“The pleasure is mine Willie. I must say I was a complete ass the last time we met, and I apologize for that.”
The prince replied to William’s courteous, yet curt, greeting. The apparent human could not argue or disagree, even though it would’ve been the kind thing to do. No, he had been quite the “ass” and if he wished to repent then far be it for Willie to interject. However just as he spoke the others appeared and the situation became rather tense.
“The young man here says he doesn't know you, thus you aren't the intended target for whatever his package contains. I think you men should move along.”
Ninjin spoke up as he moved between the young Watson and the obsidian observer. Perhaps he had misjudged the man; no, he decided on second thought, he hadn't. That particular judgment, though true at its inception, seemed to have dissipated in the wake of a change in the saiyan. Willie couldn't put his finger on it but Ninjin was not the same as last they met; at least as far as he could tell.
“How unfortunate you feel that way Mr. Hattori, I always hope for a modicum of ambiguity in my work but it appears this will not be one of those days.”
The mysterious figure said with a short sigh. Obviously he preferred operating in the shadows; knowing that attention is tantamount to death in his line of work. However, much in the same vein as his target, the well dressed man had an impeccable work ethic. He never failed; one could only hope to delay his success.
“Leave Ninjin, while you still have a chance.”
William stated bluntly, though one could hear certain hoarseness to his voice. The apparent human did not wish the prince to be met with harm; not in Willie’s name. He hoped his new strength would serve him well against these men, though the heavy weights would certainly prove a hindrance. Either way, he couldn't allow others to be hurt because of him.
“You heard the young boy Mr. Hattori. I’d advise you to heed his plea.”
The man stated; his own thinly veiled threat. Lifting pale fingers, he pushed straggling hair behind his ear before subtly nodding. For some reason, William understood as if he had seen it all before, though he couldn't remember how he knew. With both Willie and Ninjin still staring at the shaded man, Drazi and Kathos appeared on either side of them; immediately charging as they did.
“Move!”
William yelled as he pushed Ninjin out of the way and inadvertently towards the mysterious ringleader, just a moment before the two slammed into him on each side. The fury in their eyes lead Willie to believe that they had indeed met, though he still didn't remember how or when, however he lost his train of thought as the two men began striking him. Drazi’s fists lit aflame with blue ki, enhancing the damage, while Kathos’ brutish paws were weapons in themselves.
He tried to defend but too much was coming too fast as he felt his body reel this way and that under the might of the blows. In the blink of an eye, he was reduced to a broken and shattered man, struggling just to kneel as his body was overtaken by waves of pain that threatened to overwhelm his consciousness.

“How unfortunate you feel that way Mr. Hattori, I always hope for a modicum of ambiguity in my work but it appears this will not be one of those days.”
“Yeah it’s gonna be one of those days that you get your ass kicked. Me?” Ninjin cracked his neck and then his knuckles. “I love those kinda days. It just brings a certain happiness to my life. It’s gonna be a really bad day for you though. A, You’re dealing with THE Saiyan crown prince, and B. Well I don’t exactly have a B…” Ninjin fell into a fighting stance in front of the mysterious well-dressed man.
“Leave Ninjin, while you still have a chance.” Willie told Ninjin to leave and it elicited a snort from the prince.
““You heard the young boy Mr. Hattori. I’d advise you to heed his plea.” It was a thinly veiled threat, and his men spread out, surrounding them.
“Sorry Willie. These asshats have made it my buissness now. Besides three on one isn’t exactly a fair fight. Oh and I’m three times stronger than you, if it’s dangerous for me, it’s deadly for you. So I’ll just help out then.” He looked from Willie to the mysterious man and back. Whatever these men wanted it wasn’t good, and he wasn’t about to let the young man be beaten to death for whatever it was he was carrying. Especially if he could do anything about it.
“Move” Willie shouted and then shoved Ninjin forward. From behind Ninjin could hear the sounds of the men beginning to beat on him. He continued his momentum and slammed his fist into the side of the mysterious man’s face. He teetered backwards and snarled. His sunglasses were cracked and his eyes shown through. Only there weren’t eyes where there should be. Black orbs of smoke wisped in his sockets. He reached into his jacket pocket and grabbed a spare pair of sunglasses from within.
“You should not have done that.” He said with anger. It was the first emotion Ninjin had seen the man display. His power surged and his aura smoked around him. He punched out with both hands and they caught Ninjin in the chest throwing him backwards. The power he had within him had been hidden, and it rivaled that of even the crown-prince. Ninjin slammed into the side of a building and fell to the street below, shattered glass landing all around him. The gathered crowd widened the circle and stared in wonder at the well-dressed man, who stood up and turned his attention back towards Willie.
“We’re not done yet.” Ninjin growled, picking himself up off of the ground and dusting himself off. The man turned back and raised his hand. Wisps shot out at him. He raised his arms in a cross above his face. They slammed into him and he slid backwards, coming to a stop only when his back hit a light post. A fist slammed into the side of his face and sent him spinning sideways. With a shock he saw that the man that hit him had been the well-dressed man.
“How in the—” The prince began but never got to get the rest of his sentence out. The man melted into the floor.

Through the flurry of strikes William endured in the opening moments of the impromptu fight he saw as Ninjin, capitalizing on the momentum of the boy thrusting him from harm’s way, struck the solemn face of the obsidian observer.
“Sorry Willie. These ass hats have made it my business now. Besides three on one isn’t exactly a fair fight. Oh and I’m three times stronger than you, if it’s dangerous for me, it’s deadly for you. So I’ll just help out then.”
Spoken only moments before the fight commenced, Willie remembered the words fondly, despite the volume of punches being rained down upon him. So rarely had anyone taken the young Watson’s side. Alpha Prime was a “dog eat dog world,” leaving little leeway for the development of friendships. It was that moment in which William was sure Ninjin had changed; the stuck up prince he had met before would never had lifted a finger to help the boy.
He would be remiss to not acknowledge that the saiyan more than likely saved his life. William lacked the ability to “read” power levels like the prince, so his summary of the situation was far different. The boy saw three men with ill intent, while Ninjin saw three warriors with limits. The momentary reflection was disrupted however, when the punch delivered by barely staggered the mysterious assailant. Far more disturbing than that was what they saw as his shades were shattered by the strike. Black coals existed where eyes were meant and a thick smoke rose from them as he growled. He quickly replaced the broken glasses with a fresh pair from his jacket pocket.
“You should not have done that.”
The man warned forebodingly just before lunging forward with both hands and finding purchase in Ninjin’s chest. As he flew backwards, Willie finally lost view of him behind his assailants. Meanwhile the beating he was taking slowed as events progressed until they both stopped altogether, sucking wind as they tried to catch their breath. On all fours, with each limb shuttering under his own meager weight, he heard the crash and accompanying glass shatter of his ally.
“We’re not done yet.”
Surely Kathos and Drazi thought so, considering they’re victim wasn’t moving. However, they were quite wrong. Staring at the ground while a throbbing pain washed over his body, William took heart from Ninjin’s words. Though he could not see his unlikely ally, he could hear the defiance in his voice. His arms shook but not from exhaustion but rather anger. Just as Kathos and Drazi turned to help their boss Willie pushed himself to his feet. Unbeknownst to him, energy began gathering within his chest; subconscious preparation.
“ENOUGH!”
The same technique which had injured and killed many at the Coliseum Immortal now reared its head once more, though this time its sudden explosive release caused a shockwave in all directions. Both men were thrown off their feet by the concussive burst, which formed a wave of debris rushing from the point of origin: Willie. Many were thrown from their feet as nearby windows exploded. They’d all be rendered temporarily deaf and stunned due to the intense sonic wave. William didn't have time to ponder on how he had performed the ability, instead giving a brief thanks to the malefic technique for its timely reemergence.
“How in the—”
Looking over to Ninjin, he found the saiyan wearing a dumfounded expression. Following his gaze, Willie found the source of his surprise; the malevolent ringleader who simply disappeared before their very eyes. The human was aghast as their enemy apparently liquidated into the very shadows themselves.

"ENOUGH!" Ninjin looked over in cocern as the young man on his knees yelled out, the force of the yell exploding out in all directions. Glass shattered and those looking on around the fight being thrown backwards. Ninjin held his ground, but felt the force behind it nontheless. Perhaps there was more to this young man than met the eye. Those nearby that weren't thrown held their ears in disbelief at was was occuring. It was worse for those that weren't aware of what was currently occuring.
It was as if a sonic bomb went off, ears bled and people wailed. Ninjin hadn't been present during Willams match during the tournament and so the technique came as a surprise. Then the man dissapeared through the floor into the shadow. The crown prince's mouth fell agape as it happened. Never before had he seen such a manuver and it boggled his mind.
He felt a sharp pain behind him and spun around quickly to see a knife sticking out of his back. The shadowy man's smile grinned up at him, he was half out of the floor and half in it, his body sticking out of a shadow created by. Ninjin grunted and pulled the knife from his side, thankful that it hadn't hit any vital organs. His hand came away bloody and he smirked.
"You should not have done that." A spear formed in his hand and he stabbed it down towards the man in half the shadows. It caught him in the shoulder and he grimaced and the dissapeared downwards.
"Blood magic? You hold secrets Prince of Sayians." The voice came from behind the sayian who spun to come face to face with his opponent. An orb of shadows was in the man's hands, and black steam seeped from his shoulder where the prince's spear had pierced his shoulder. Ninjin had lost sight of the young William Watson, but he had his own problems to worry about.

Distracted by the impossible fashion in which the obsidian observer disappeared, William did not keep his eye on the task at hand. Both tasks made him regret that unconscious decision, as the larger ‘task’ thundered into his side sending him flying into a nearby building. The smaller ‘task’ had been gathering energy, which he released in one mighty ki blast into the structure. For obvious reasons, Willie lost track of his unlikely ally as the concrete and metal imploded, burring him beneath a hill of rubble.
“Is he dead…?”
The behemoth Kathos asked with caution. Something about this boy made him uneasy. Of course, nearly being killed by a possessed teenager with needle teeth and red eyes had such an effect. Drazi, despite being nearly half his partner’s size, felt little fear. More than anything was anger. The foul mouthed man had an ill temper and a short fuse. A terrible combination normally, though it made him quite effective in his line of work.
“He fucking better not be, I want to rip his heart out and make him watch as I crush it."
Drazi seethed as his fists lit aflame with fiery blue ki; an action Kathos mirrored as he formed a shield of blue energy over his right arm. However, the short man in green was not the only infuriated fighter. As William pushed off a one ton chunk of concrete from his battered form, he felt his heart begin to race. Fury was not something the mild mannered Willie was used to, so he found himself overwhelmed by its presence and intensity.
“You want to fight…”
He muttered while looking down to his hands, which balled into fists. Squeezing so hard, they began to tremble as his anger rose. Looking back up to them, they were both put off by his eyes. The familiar black and red had replaced the white and blue of his eyes; however his teeth didn’t become razor sharp nor did his tongue fork. The anger allowed him to tap into the wellspring of power that dwelled within, though he was oblivious. All the kind hearted, well tempered, boy was brutal… Bloody… Revenge.
“THEN LET’S FIGHT!”
Charging forwards he met Drazi fist for fist, cancelling out each of his blazing strikes with one of his own; a small shockwave resulted from each meeting of the pairs of knuckles. Despite the blazing ki surrounding his opponent’s fists, William seemed unfazed. Each hit did do damage but his body’s amazing regenerative abilities kept any real harm from befalling them. This only infuriated the shorter man in green more, how could a mere child quite literally match him punch for punch? His rage fueled him and he began to strike harder and faster until he finally landed a punch. Then again. And another. One such to the boy’s face sent him reeling, but Kathos was behind him, slamming his shield into his back and sending him once more into a flurry of Drazi’s punches.
He stumbled once more, though this time on purpose. As the shield bearer moved forward to guide his prey once more into the lion’s den, William sidestepped and pushed the stampeding behemoth as he passed by, thus thrusting him right into Drazi where the meeting of his radiant fists and his opposite’s shield created a flash and sent them both back a foot.
“Damn it Kathos! PAY FUCKIN' ATTENTION!”
This momentary spat was all Willie needed, as he went back to back with Kathos before reaching up and back, grabbing Kathos under the chin before flipping the man, sending him face first into debris. Remembering Vespasian’s lessons now with vivid intensity, William kneeled down slightly as Drazi lunged. He then shot up while spinning, lifting his foot high to catch the assailant hard in the side of the face. The thunderous kick sent the man skipping across the concrete before he came to a rest fifty feet away.
“What’s wrong guys, a kid too much for you?”
Willie spat while holding a vicious smile. The intent was to infuriate the fighters, inciting them to rush onwards so as to continue giving him the advantage. Meanwhile, the fury coursed through him like a drug…
And he wanted another fix.

The orb rocketed towards him and Ninjin brought the spear tip into the epicenter of the blast. It exploded on contact, and though he was thrown backwards the spear saved the prince from the aftereffect. The debris between the prince and the orb was sucked into where the orb once was, crunching and contorting as the gravity became equivalent to that of the center of a black hole. The condensed object fell to the ground, what was once debris the size of a car became that the size of a dime. Ninjin stared wide eyed from the ground to the man, his mouth agape. Just who in the world was William Watson involved with? Ninjin scampered to his feet. If he was going to survive this encounter he was going to have to end it soon. His brought his arms tight against his sides, forearms at ninety degree angles with his chest. Dust and debris kicked up as his powerlevel began to surge. A red aura built up around him, golden lightning surging back and forth across its surface. His muscles bulged slightly as his mass increased. His True Power was on display for all to see. The man in shadow's eyebrow raised. "Enough. I'm giving you one last chance. Take your men and leave." Ninjin didn't realize the state of bloodlust his companion was in, nor did he honestly expect the man to take him up on his offer of leaving. Still his conscious wouldn't let him simply kill the man in cold blood in the middle of the streets of Omega without offering him a chance to get away. The shadow man smirked. " This battle is far from over Hattori." He took off his shades and the smoke pouring out of his eyes enveloped his entire body. His body grew and his legs disappeared, tapering until it formed a single tail. His upper body grew thick and solid, though it appeared to be made of smoke and shadow. Facial features disappeared until all that was left was a sharp toothed grin and white piercing eyes. His hands grew long and his fingernails grew pointed. It was his true form, and it shocked Ninjin to see. He wondered what Willaim would think on seeing the form had he not been distracted by his own events. How many others had seen this demon? How many of those had lived to tell the tale. Ninjin's hand went to his side, where he had been stabbed. Blood still flowed, but at a weakened pace. In his hand formed a short spear, no bigger than a dagger might have been. He flipped it over and held the sharp point face down, then he constructed another in the other hand. He ran forward, stabbing and slicing at the creature in front of him. What the creature didn't block seemed to just go through his body, though it hissed every time. "This is a fight you cannot win Hattori. The boy and his package come with us." His voice sent chills down the prince's spine. This being was not of this world, and it was ancient in its evil ways. Someone Ninjin had to defeat it, for as much his own sake at for William Watsons'.

True to his intent, in little time the two assailants were back on him, infuriated by his disrespect. Tapped into his full power, William easily blocked both their blows simultaneously. However when the fighting slowed to a full stop once they noticed the source for the darkening sky.
Willie was no less surprised than Kathos or Drazi by what the obsidian observer had morphed into. A sinister beast comprised of a dense blue mist, sporting fangs, claws and a sunken face with glowing eye sockets. The poor boy couldn’t even close his drooping jaw.
"This is a fight you cannot win Hattori. The boy and his package come with us."
Ninjin was stabbing at the creature with what appeared to be a dagger made of his own blood. The saiyan proved himself incredibly resourceful; having powers William didn’t even know existed. However even his unique talents were unable to harm the demon. Fearing for the prince’s safety, Willie took advantage of the distracted duo, slamming a fist into Drazi’s face. The blow lifted the shorter man clean off his feet, and as he flew up William grabbed his legs before swinging backwards, gaining momentum just before using the body to bat at Kathos.
“Nice catch Kathy!”
Yelled the apparent human as the two tumbled away. Immediately he turned toward the behemoth, throwing his palm forward as he released a perfectly circular beam of crimson energy. Being only a relative short distance away, the attack reached its target almost immediately. The Vanishing Beam pierced the once well-dressed man, dissipating his body into a mist. Willie, eyes black and red, intoxicated by his fury, smiled.
But his joy was short lived as the creature reformed moments later, with a dastardly grin playing over its blue features. The creature then reached down into the shadows which surrounded him, its talons disappearing in the darkness. Screams gave away their location and William spun to see both Kathos and Drazi both being grabbed. The spear like fingers pierced them each in three spots amongst the chest and back. A blackness began spreading from the points of contact from beneath their skin, until their skin were gray and eyes pure white.
“Now, apprehend the boy while I handle the meddlesome prince.”
The apparition called with a haunting echo, his hands receding into the shadows surrounded his lackeys. An empowered team walked towards him with expressionless faces. Willie quickly leapt forth, attempting to treat the men no different than he had moments before. This time proved far different though, as Kathos grabbed his hand in mid strike. The boy’s hand shook with concentration as he tried to force it forward but the behemoth only squeezed until William let out a shriek.
“What? Little Willie not strong enough?”
With his free hand he reeled back, bringing his fist back into a vicious uppercut into the boy’s stomach. William felt all the air leave his body as he stumbled back, Kathos releasing his grip, eyes bulging as he gasped for air. Not a moment’s respite would be given though, as now the enhanced Drazi leapt forth, his formerly blue fists encompassed in ki of bottomless blackness. A fury of strikes to every section of the boy’s body, followed by an exploding superman punch, left Willie bloodied and sent him speeding away.
“That’s right you little shit, now we have the power.”
The point was made abundantly clear when the winded boy struck none other than Kathos’ now obsidian shield. Ricocheting off he fell and tumbled to his side before rolling to his knees as he attempted to catch his breath. Once more, no reprieve was allowed as Kathos stepped up, raising his shield over him, signaling its intended use as a tool for bludgeoning.

It should not have been possible, but the crown-prince had witnessed it with his own eyes. Right before him the man in the fashionable suit had transformed into a demon out of nightmare, and his attack seemed to be doing nothing to the creature. A strong blast from William Watson blew the creature apart and Ninjin let out a sigh of relief. Regardless of his power William Watson had appeared to have saved the day. His relief was short lived.
With a poof the creature returned as if it had never been gone at all, smiling as if the victory was already his. It’s long taloned fingers reached down into the shadows, and though Ninjin couldn’t see what it was doing knew it couldn’t be good. Two yells of pain pierced the night, much like the talons piercing the shadow-fiends lackeys. Though they should have been dead, if anything the piercing had made them stronger.
““Now, apprehend the boy while I handle the meddlesome prince.” The demon called over to his lackeys, and then turned once more to Ninjin. The princes eyes’ were filled with fear, and for good reason. He had never before in his life faced something as terrifying as what stood before him. Was this his reward for trying to help someone? Was this his reward for being a good person? No matter, he would finish what he started.
Ninjin charged a blast in his hands and fired it at the beast, but it backhanded it away and it crashed into a building. Onlookers cried out, and those within the building began to yell curses down until they saw just exactly what was happening.
“You cannot hope to win this Hattori. You or Watson.” ten orbs of shadow formed at his fingertips, but instead of throwing them at Ninjin he placed them on the ground. The orbs grew and grew until they were each miniature versions of what stood before him, each half the size of him. The prince cursed loudly.
They came at him, and though they lacked the strength of the demon, their tiny claws sliced and cut at his skin. His fists began to glow with energy as he poured his ki into them, and in desperation he lashed out, smashing two of the beasts into shadowy dust. They did not reform. It took a moment for the prince to realize what had happened, that they were truly gone. A gasp of pain could be heard from the larger demon.
His fists became a flurry, incorporating all of the styles of combat that he had been taught over his twenty years of life. It could be argued that Ninjin wasn’t the smartest guy in terms of intellect, though this was not to say that he was dumb, but no one could question his martial prowess. One by one the minions fell to his Ki-infused fists, and for each one that fell a gasp of pain could be heard from the larger demon. Perhaps there was a way for them to win after all.
William Watson had disappeared from his view, but the prince earnestly hoped the young man was holding his own against the two newly empowered gentlemen. Both because he cared, and because he didn’t fancy the idea of having to fight all three of these things at the same time.

William Watson saw the ten orbs transform into mini shadow demon creatures and attack the Prince. A moment of relief passed over the boy as saw ki-infused fists strike the minions down, causing the once well-dressed man to roar with pain. The apparent human saw all this while he arced through the air after one of many proceeding strikes he suffered at the hands of his newly empowered enemies.
The touch of evil had laid claim to them and now the fight had turned on its heels. Watson was the one being batted around now, evident by him following through the air as he watched Ninjin’s progressed and recovered from a powerful blow to the face. As he reached the ground the grey skinned Kathos appeared in a blur with one palm facing up. Catching the boy in his hand he too watched his boss handle the Prince.
“Don’t worry little friend I gotcha, heh heh…”
Drazi appeared a second later, staring daggers at the saiyan’s new technique. Once again flaring an oblivion of back, he turned and smashed William so hard in the face that he spun in circles in the behemoth’s hand like a basketball.
“I see your buddy likes to steal ideas! Well after we KILL you, I’ll have to show him how it’s REALLY done!”
The short demon powered man’s fist exploded into a black wildfire and he struck up with a mighty uppercut to the still spinning William. It found its mark with perfect timing and he once more went flying into the air. It was incredibly painful and once more sent young Willie’s head for a spin.
It was becoming apparent to him that both of them were now more powerful than him after the recent infusion with the dark side. If he was going to get out of this he had to level the odds. A darkness crept into his mind, originating from deep with him. “Kill... Kill…” it whispered into his thoughts.
It was drastic but necessary. William could not imagine himself a killer, but it had happened before. At the tournament, many spectators died. When he was leaving, many security personnel were eradicated; all done by the demon that possessed him. So much blood was on these hands, it tore at his heart to think he could bear anymore. “But it is necessary if Ninjin and I are to live.”
He could not let another die because of him, and if William was defeated then Ninjin would have to face three attackers. Death would await him in that one sided fight. A sinister plan began to come together in his mind, one that made him uneasy. Just doing the thing that the voice wanted, even if for just reasons, did not sit well with him.
“I’m going to enjoy this Watson, but not as much as visiting your mother and sister later!”
Kathos bellow as the grey skinned, white eyed appeared in front of William, blocking the trajectory the fiery punch had sent him on. With his hands on his hip he was no doubt ready to just reflect the target off his chest as a show of his newfound strength. However the human had only fueled his own death. Channeling his hatred, reflected by his eyes retaking the red and black colors, he looked to his hands.
He had seen the tapes of the match with Azazel. Despite his shame for what he had done, he did notice a few things. One was that his hands apparently took the form of spikes. Using his rage he focused on his right hand as he collided with the stalwart Kathos. Bouncing off the barbarian, Willie flew back down towards the ground as if nothing happened, his hand looking completely normal.
In that few seconds of contact, nearly impossible to see from any angle, he had changed his hand into ten inch blade which he inserted just below the man’s ribs and pushed right through the heart. Death was guaranteed. But nobody noticed, not even Kathos at first. Drazi was waiting for the boy on the ground and met him with a flurry of ki powered punches that sent William crashing into a nearby building.
Then Kathos slammed into the dirt right beside his comrade, barely alive as blood poured out of him. Confused and concerned, his short ally ran to his side.
“Kathos!? What the hell happened?”
But he never answered as the life left his eyes and he fell back, lifeless. Drazi looked down and saw the entrance wound. An intense black fire engulfed the grey fists and white eyes of the warrior as he looked to where William had landed. The apparent human was just stepping out of the debris; and a slight grin tugging at the corner of his mouth. Further enraged, Drazi leapt forth with all his demonic might and it was William who became engulfed in the obsidian flames of his assailant’s revenge.

The demon of smoke and shadow reared back and coughed, gesticulating wildly as he did so. When it was finished it wiped its mouth, if you could call it that. Then he righted himself once more and smiled an evil smile at the Saiyan prince. It sauntered forwards through the air, unafraid of what the prince might do to it. Ninjin took a step back, but his proud nature and warrior spirit would not let him retreat all the way. Not with his fists still so full of ki. And besides, the creature had made it personal. All Ninjin had been trying to do was apologize to William for his behavior before, and then all of this happened. Though, not that he could say he was entirely surprised, his life was just kind of like that. When it approached him, the saiyan took a step forwards and swung. His fist met only air. The demon had dodged it and swept to the side, moving like the lighter-than-air creature he was. The moment seemed to stretch on for an uncomfortably long time.
One of the creature’s fingers was jabbed into his back somewhere. Ninjin cried out immediately. The pain he felt was excruciating. It was as if someone was reaching into his mind and extracting his nightmares, putting them on a loop, making him watch and then punching him directly in the spine with them. He collapsed in more pain than he had perhaps ever before been in, tears streaming down his face, though he gritted his teeth. The monster turned its back towards him, looking in the direction that the prince assumed Willie was in. Ninjin too glanced in that direction from his position, knocked to the ground by pain, he noticed the human standing and grinning at his assailant. The larger of the too lay on the ground much like the prince. Willie had managed to take one of them down, and it looked like he was holding his own against the other. There was more to that human than met the eye. Regardless, that would all change, and the boy would probably be killed, if he didn’t do something. But what could he do? The monster had just taken him out of the fight, hadn’t he?
No. No he hadn’t. Old Ninjin would… well old Ninjin would never have been in this situation in the first place. He would have sworn at Willie, even though he had been the one to bump into him, and then he would have continued on his way. Even had the fighting broken out as it had, he wouldn’t have turned around to save him. It hadn’t been old Ninjin’s place. New Ninjin? Well new Ninjin had just been stabbed in the spine with a finger for a human boy he didn’t really know. New Ninjin wasn’t about to let anything happen to William.
“Hrrgn!” It was more a release of air than anything, but the prince had to make sure it was loud enough to get the demon’s attention. The pain he felt as he crawled forwards was excrutiating, but he wasn’t about to let Willie fight both beings. With body screaming in defiance, the prince made his way to his hands and knees, then three-points-of-contact, then shakily back to his feet.
“Was that all you got?” The prince spat blood at the demon to emphasize his point. “Bitch.” His hands weakly rose up until they were covering his face. His legs were shaky underneath him, but he wasn’t going anywhere. He had only be stabbed in the back and also the kidney. Truthfully, and also sadly, he had had worse done to him.
Time and again the prince had proven that he was one of the most physically tough beings in the universe. A common joke around the barracks was that there were Ice-jin with weaker skin than he. And despite all of the jokes, there was some truth to the stories. The prince had earned his reputation.
The demon turned back about, and if it had had eyebrows, they no doubt would have been risen in surprise. It actually, where it possible, looked like the demon was impressed with what he saw standing in front of him.
“I must have missed the spine, it is not often someone survives that technique.” The demon began as it floated back towards the defiant Saiyan prince. The smile on its face grew further as it finished its thought. “They never do a second time.”
Ninjin threw a shaky haymaker, and once again it met air. Quickly he spun, and the Demon’s finger caught him through the shoulder. Though the prince let out a guttural roar of pain, he did not let the opportunity to go to waste. Blow after blow of his ki-infused fists struck the demon. Truthfully the crown prince wasn’t sure he was doing any damage to the beast or not, but the only chance he would have is if he didn’t stop striking.
Willie was no doubt fighting with the remaining assailant. Despite his own powers, the prince hope the boy would finish soon and come help him with the demon. If his strikes were doing something? Well then maybe the prince had a chance on his own, but were they not having the desired effect… This very well might be the last few moments of Ninjin Hattori.
