Walking up to the Palace he figured it was about time to report what was going on recently, it wasn't exactly the kind of information the king was looking for, but Conri got what he could from it. He stopped at the front gate, only to be greeted by soldiers aiming their hands towards him in a threatening manner, probably a sign that he shouldn't go further. The mischievous part of his mind wanted to see what they might do should he try to walk passed them, but he figured it was best to not start an incident on a foreign planet. Especially since he was here on business, which meant he didn't have time to play with these soldiers.
"I'm here to see King Tsuyo, or someone from the Royal Family, I was hired to get information and I'm here to report now," he explained as much as he could, without going into details. They looked between each other before finally one of them went into the Palace to get someone from the Royal Family to confirm that he was working with them. Which he really hoped none of them decided to play a practical joke on him, otherwise things were going to get a bit messy in front of this place. The only thing that Conri could do at the moment would be to wait, and hopefully he would be able to get an audience with someone so that he could get things underway.
"So, you guys stand here a lot huh? It must get pretty dull just standing," he tried to make small talk, though they seemed to be ignoring him. A sigh escaped his lips, he really hoped someone would come get him before he died of boredom with these guys, they had no sense of humor or anything. That or they were just being dicks since he wasn't technically from around here, which could also be possible. Of course, he could imagine it getting worse rather than better soon, but that was his mind preparing for the possibilities that could come in the near future. At least the information he had might offset what he needed to say, so it might even out.

When the guard came into the throne room and announced to Tsuyo that he had a guest. At first he was confused as to why the guards did not simply send him away as he was still clearly tired and upset from his return from the Omega Collective. He had had such high hopes for the Hattori family and their dealings on Alpha Prime. It was a prime chance to prove to the rest of the Universe that the Hattori were no laughing matter and were the strongest in the Universe. In a sense he was able to see that come to fruition based on the brutal battle his two eldest children had but it was not the way he wanted it. However a quick description of the person at the gates it turned out to his spy for hire Conri Lane.
With a wave of his hand he sent the guard back to the door in order to let the spy for hire into the Saiyan Palace. He had no doubt that Conri Lane would turn up some kind of information on his mysterious potential enemy Promethesus Zex. The man came to power suddenly and then was able to rebuke Tsuyo’s archrival in Artic from taking over the complete Omega Collective which was no small task. One that Tsuyo knew if he were tasked with he would lose a large chunk of his army fighting.
If he could get inside of the mysterious leader’s head and find out what his plan was then he would be able to move his own chess pieces in order to prevent him from expanding his influence beyond the Omega Collective. Tsuyo had enough enemies with influence larger than his and he did not need any more. He even had several enemies that he had no idea on where their home worlds were preventing him from waging a full scale war. He would wait until Conri Lane entered the hall before uttering a word.

The guards came back and allowed him to pass through the front doors of the palace, it seemed that Tsuyo was awaiting to hear word from him. Hopefully with the information he had combined with his own suspicions would be enough for the time being to give the King of Saiyans something to think over. Plus, it couldn't hurt to have a sounding board for some of his ideas and see if he was being crazy or if there might be something to them. Although, the thoughts kind of stopped as he looked around the halls he walked, letting out a low whistle at all the stuff that was decorating the walls. He supposed that being royalty did have some perks to it, like having your own fancy decorator. That brought up an idea, he wondered how big of a screen TV someone of royalty could afford to have designed for him, that would be something worth seeing now!
They led him to the room where Tsuyo was and he nodded his thanks to the guards for showing him the way, the size of this place almost guaranteed that he would get lost. Entering the room, one of the people there announced his arrival to the king and Conri took that as a cue to bow to the man in a respectful manner. He wasn't a soldier or a servant so saluting seemed out of place for him, especially since that he really didn't even know the salute that these guys used for that. "King Tsuyo, I have some information for you regarding the leader of Alpha Prime. It's probably not exactly what you were looking for, but I figure more information than you already had is always good," that whole saying that knowledge was power came to mind.
"I also have a kind of strange question, but I suppose that can wait until later. As for the news, shall I just tell you or would you like everyone present when I give the information?" he figured it was a good question. If he wanted the entire Royal Family to know then it would be better to have them all hear what he had found out about Zex and what would be happening rather soon.

Akassa had received word that Conri Lane had come to the Palace. She had also been told he was requesting an audience with the King. Back on Alpha Prime she had a short discussion with him and learned that her father had asked him to spy for the Crown. He had also told her that he had been invited to an exclusive dinner by Prometheus Zex himself, was that what he had come to New Vegeta for, something to do with that dinner? Regardless of what it might be that he was here to report or say she wanted to hear it.
Making her way through the halls of the Palace she went at a brisk pace, not running towards her father’s audience chambers, but doing her best to arrive quickly. When she finally arrives the doors to the room had just finished closing, the small telltale click of the bolt between them something she was very familiar with. A glance at the guard manning the door was all it took for them to swing open once more. Akassa, the daughter of the King, did not need to request entry to any part of the palace save her father’s own private quarters. Like with this case doors were opened before her without a word. Slowing her pace the Princess strolls into the audience chamber, Conri Lane having already started speaking to her father.
As for the news, shall I just tell you or would you like everyone present when I give the information?"
Hearing only the one line she looks to Conri then the King, raising an eyebrow as she does. ”It sounds safe to assume that I did not miss much. What brings you to New Vegeta, Champion?” After the conclusion of their little sparring match back on Alpha Prime she had taken to using his honorary title once more. Silently she wondered what her father might think of her showing him such respect, but she did not believe it would anger him. After all he had won the tournament, something Ninjin and she had failed to do. Tsuyo was a proud man, but that did not mean he did not respect strength in others.

Conri Lane had in fact done exactly what Tsuyo appeared to have asked him for. He obtained something that none of his other spies had managed to retrieve. When the King had recruited him he had expected him to fight well in the tournament and after wards turn up some kind of information for the Saiyan King to use. What he managed to do was to win the entire tournament and earn the attention of the Omega tyrant. From what Tsuyo managed to construe from conflicting reports among his spy Conri had a dinner with Zex and a group of three other individuals that had all competed in the tournament. The only identity that he managed to confirm with some degree of accuracy was that of the Namekian Banduk Gundu. It was rather hard to miss the presence of their giant green slug bodies, disgusting creatures.
“I doubt any of my other children are going to be present Conri Lane.” Tsuyo started but was interrupted by Akassa’s arrival. “Perhaps the smarter one is going to arrive.” Tsuyo laughed under his breath. Even though Natisha found her reviled and a pest Akassa was still one of his children and as such he cared for her. He would wage a war for her even if he didn’t like to show it. “Why don’t you inform me of what you found? This way I have at least one of my children learning the responsibilities of the throne of New Vegeta.”

With a nod to the King he was about to speak when the Princess of New Vegeta came into the room with them, and asked what brought him here. "Just reporting what I found out during the dinner, good to see you again, Akassa. Although, you forgot our deal," he said, pouting slightly as she called him by his title. Though he quickly smirked again, instead returning his attention to the matter at hand, which was to inform them about what happened at the dinner. It was going to be interesting to see what their reactions were to the news that he was bringing to them today.
"Well, as I'm sure you know I was invited to the mansion of Prometheus Zex for dinner. I wasn't the only one invited either as so were three other people: Frigid, Kurosanai, and Banduk. While Zex says it was a coincidence for the races of those that were brought there, it still seems kind of odd for an Acrosian, Human, Namekian, and Saiyan to be called together. Granted, I'm only Half-Saiyan, but the point should still stand," he added. Figuring that there might be a big deal of what he had said, so he just wanted to clear that up right away.
"Like I said, he said it was coincidence, but it seemed odd to me. The reason we were gathered it seems was because of our performances in the Tournament. Which I can see the reasoning a bit myself there, but he had gathered us for a different reason than just for a dinner as well," he paused for dramatic effect, but wondered if the action was lost on the others or if they would at least be a little amused by his antics. Still, the next part was serious, so the pause was also to gather everything he remembered about what was said without leaving anything out.
"We were brought there because Zex had apparently found two other planets in a sector possibly not too far from the Omega Collective and sent an exploration team to make contact with any possible inhabitants. Well, when they entered the space near the planets, contact was lost with the team and there has been no word from them since that time. So, fearing the worst Zex gathered the group of us together to head into that sector of space ourselves to investigate what had happened. I have agreed to go investigate what is going on," he figure he would just tell them that out right. There was no way that he could not investigate especially if there was something that could be a possible threat to the rest of the galaxy.

Akassa had not forgotten that she agreed to address him as Conri and not Champion, but in the presence of the King she always used titles. Even with Ninjin she referred to him as Brother or Prince when the rest of her family was present, his importance to the family far outweighing the use of his first name. As for him simply addressing her as Akassa she wondered if her father might speak up. In most cases those that were not of the family referred to her as Princess, while strangely enough her family usually called her by name. That was mostly thanks to her step-mother, the woman never seeing her as a legitimate part of the family and therefore not truly a Princess. Family drama aside Conri had come with news, news she wanted to hear.
Listening intently she took note of the names he mentioned. During her time on Alpha Prime she had seen all of those individuals even if she had not taken the time to meet any of them. The Icejin known as Frigid had been the runner up in the tournament, the intelligent fighter having been able to go toe to toe with Conri even in his Oozaru form. The Human and Namekian had not made it as far, but each had proven they were capable fighters. Despite the variance in their races Akassa was not so sure that had anything to do with it. Her hypothesis was that he had selected them based on their profiles and backgrounds, not so much their race, that is how she would have chosen those to help her. Then again the alien Lord did seem to always have plans so perhaps there was more to it…she had no real way of knowing.
As he continues, the part about two uncharted planets had her eyes going wide, glancing to her father at the revelation. Sure there were other planets out there beyond the four that had participated in the tournament, but it was rare for completely new spheres to be discovered. Of course she was only assuming they were uncharted based on the explanation Conri had just provided them. If they had been previously discovered there would be no reason to send an exploration team right? Already questions formed in her head, the Princess wanting to drill Conri for any more information he might have obtained, but she does not forget that she stood in her father’s audience chamber.
When the half-saiyan finished talking Akassa looks to the King as she wonders what he might be thinking of all this. Not wanting to speak out of turn she waits in silence. If she knew her father the bold warrior king would not keep quiet for long. Despite his desire for caution and planning he was also not afraid to speak his mind if the situation called for it and he was definitely not afraid to question another. Anxiously Akassa waits.

He took a step backwards and turned away from the two of them to rest his hands on the table behind him.
He took several deep breaths in and out before letting out a yell. The yell would echo around the massive hall. Following the yell the massive Saiyan king would flip the table over with ease causing everything on the table to come crashing down sending the sound reverberating ten times over throughout the massive hall. The Saiyan King turned back to the champion of the tournament with a look of fury on his face. He wanted to tear him limb from limb, not because of any personal problem but because he happened to be the one that delivered him the bad news.
“That fucking little snake!” Tsuyo roared in anger. “I can see what he wants to do! He wishes to expand his influence beyond that infernal little rock which confines him no!” Tsuyo began to pace back and forth furiously. “I will not allow this! I will take this little advantage out from under this pathetic meteor scum!” Tsuyo turned back to Conri, “What else do you know? Do you know when you leave for this little journey or where these planets are located? Do you know what is on these planets? If he is sending anyone else other than you four?”

Akassa had remained silent despite that the Half-Saiyan noticed that she had a reaction to the news he mentioned, instead she looked to her father. Conri turned his attention towards the King as well watching what the leader of New Vegeta's reaction would be to the news that he had told him thus far. Of course, he wasn't really expecting him to yell and be angry, that seemed a bit of an overreaction to the Half-Saiyan from Earth. Given the possibility of all the types of news that he could have given the King as well, especially if Zex had explicitly stated he couldn't say anything about it after he had accepted the job. That would have put him into a real bind, especially if he came to report to the Hattori that he couldn't tel him anything.
When the King turned towards him with rage, however, he simple retained his composure and kept his eyes locked on the man that was simply his employer. Should he make a move, Conri was more than ready to drop his weighted clothes and power up if the King wanted a fight. Sure, he might get killed from the fight, but he would show the current people witnessing that he was not afraid of even the King of the Saiyans. Still, it seemed that the King was not going to kill the messenger as it were and instead asked a serious of questions to the Half-Saiyan after cussing out the leader of Alpha Prime.
"The only thing I really know is the coordinates of the planet, everything else is as I said. The only ones who were asked that I am aware of were the four of us that went to that dinner. The only other thing is that there is the chance for even the group of us to die, but that's not really information that would be useful. Especially considering we don't know what happened to the previous crew," he shrugged slightly. That was all he really knew besides what had been said already, he wasn't sure what the King planned to do with the information to try and pull the advantage away from Prometheus Zex. Hopefully it would not cause an intergalactic incident; whatever it was that was in the works.

Watching and waiting for her father’s reaction Akassa could not have predicted the outburst. The table flipped and various items went tumbling, the King’s roar filling the chamber. Shocked at his reaction she does not understand it, blinking several times as he wheels on them to start questioning Conri further. Tsuyo was a passionate Saiyan there was no doubt, but he did not usually resort to rage. Lately that didn’t seem to be the case, his anger having played out with Ninjin on Alpha Prime as well. Grinding her teeth a little she yearned to say something to calm her father, but knew better than to speak out against her father, especially when he was in this sort of mood.
Conri did not share her reserve though, his calm demeanor making that quite obvious as he neither denies nor supports the king’s accusations. The blue haired half-saiyan was lacking the proper etiquette when it came to how he addressed the King, not surprising, but the information he was providing saved him from any immediate retribution. When he mentions coordinates Akassa could not believe he actually had some information about the relative location of the planets. Little did she know that Zex had not given them the exact location, but his teams last location. The Princess did not believe her father’s assumptions were correct, but even if they were not the coordinates of a new set of planets could prove rather valuable information.
”Are you sure they are uncharted planets Conri? Forgive me, but I find it hard to believe that such a place would exist, never mind the fact he claims there are two planets at these coordinates.” Akassa did not think Conri a liar it was just that new planets had not been discovered in her entire life-time and for quite some time before that. For two planets to suddenly be found like this was unheard of and there was plenty of reason for doubt, especially considering who it was that had provided the information to start. Then again…what if it was all true?

Frustration. It had been plaguing Tsuyo since watching his children come up short in their fights against one another and others from around the galaxy. They were Hattoris, and they were supposed to be some of the strongest if not the strongest warriors in the universe. But it was this ambivalent lack of care for the image that their ancestors that had worked so hard to build. It was this that caused the frustration that Tsuyo had felt growing inside of him. The biggest offender was that of Ninjin, he said that he cared for the throne and the idea that eventually he would take over the kingdom that Tsuyo worked viciously to grow stronger but watching his son now he no longer acted like a ruler. He seemed to fail to see the bigger picture, only that of himself. He had begun to consort with sordid figures in the shadows according to reports that Tsuyo had been receiving from his various agents. So when all of this was taken into thought it was not overly hard to see why the Saiyan King’s patience for the movement of others was gone. Hence the outburst but as quickly as it came Tsuyo was able to reign it back.
“I doubt he would have Akassa.” Tsuyo said referring to the coordinates, “He would never have given out the exact coordinates in case someone for whatever reason managed to get a hold of them. He is much to cunning for that meaning those coordinates there are almost useless to us.” Tsuyo growled as he flipped the table back up to its proper position. He had knowledge of Zex’s plans; if he managed to get ahead of the mysterious leader of Alpha Prime then maybe he would be able to somehow maneuver Artic, without his knowing, into attacking him there by weakening them both.
“Conri, what I want you to do is this,” Tsuyo paused as he took another deep breath. “I want you to take a transponder that is specially designed to give off a highly encrypted signal as to your where abouts when you arrive at these planets. It won’t be detected by any technology that Zex may have monitoring your team. Once we receive the coordinates from your location then I will send a highly skilled squad to evaluate the situation and deal with it appropriately.” Tsuyo said as he began to relax with another deep breath.

His eyes glanced between Akassa and Tsuyo watching them both throughout the whole meeting so that he could try to get a reading from both of them. This was one of the purposes of his group as well, he needed to learn about his clients and what they were really like as well since it was an important aspect of his group. As the leader he had to set the precedence and the example for what was to be expected of those that did join his group, so that no one was left unaware. There was no better place to do that then in the room staring down the King of Saiyans, one of the most powerful people in the universe. Now was the time to show that his group would not bow to anyone just because they had money, power, or anything like that. The King was also calming down so that was a good thing and would hopefully work in his favor should he need to do something.
At Akassa's question he shrugged slightly, "That's what Zex said, that these planets were uncharted which was why he sent the exploration team." There was no need if the planets had been ones already known of, so it made sense to him. Still, he had a nagging feeling in the back of his mind, that he couldn't quite place why something seemed wrong. Shaking his head, he turned towards the King as he spoke about what he wanted Conri to do, and the Half-Saiyan knew this was the point of his resolve. It would also show him just what kind of a man the King was as well, which was an important thing to know right now.
"Before I do, I would like to know what your intentions are for these planets. I have no intention of bringing these planets into war should the inhabitants be peaceful," he declared directly. He wasn't going to drag people into something that had nothing to do with them and he would be sure to let the ruler of Alpha Prime know that he would not allow any shady business to happen. If they were hostile then Conri would have to deal with that himself, but if not then he would not let anyone override their right to enjoy peace. Even if it meant making enemies of the rulers of every planet, but he wanted to be sure of what the intentions were before he would ever agree to have a transponder on him.

As the King spoke Akassa found herself nodding in agreement with his suggestions. If Conri was willing to take a transponder with him than New Vegeta would be aware of his location. Beyond informing the Crown of these planets locations it would also provide a sort of life line for Conri himself. Admittedly there was not much known about this expedition beyond what Prometheus Zex had told the assembled group. The Champion even seemed suspicious himself, and with good reason. Akassa had met this Lord Zex only once, but even that short interaction had been unpleasant. When it calm down to it she just didn’t trust the large alien. The state of Alpha Prime and most of its residence only added to her suspicions.
Looking to Conri after her father had finished speaking she expected a nod of agreement on his part, but instead he requests to know more about the Kings goals. The Princess visibly tenses at the demand, not at all used to guests speaking to her father like that. Having earned her respect after defeating her, half-saiyan was most likely aware of how much respect mattered to her. It was likely he had not intended any disrespect, but to demand something of the King in his own palace was not proper. From what she knew about Conri Lane he was a rather free spirit and tended to treat everyone the same, but in some cases etiquette was required. This was one of those times.
”Conri…be mindful of how you speak and to whom you speak.” It was not a threat of course, the Princess trying to keep her tone as neutral as possible, but wanting him to realize who it was that he spoke to. Even though he was not of New Vegeta, her father was still its ruler and one of the most honorable individuals Akassa knew. Above all else he deserved respect, no matter who you owed your allegiance too if anyone. Beyond that she wanted to assure him that the Crown would never bring war to a peaceful planet, it was not their way, but she says nothing about it, not wanting to speak for her father. Of course their race was known for its battle prowess and sometimes aggressiveness yet they were not reckless warmongers.
Silently Akassa wondered how this seemingly random Half-Saiyan had gotten into the middle of all this. Sure he had won the tournament and drawn attention to himself, but the fact he had met the King before hand and was then invited to the dinner was very coincidental. Thinking about it for a couple of seconds the Princess starts to wonder, not figuring him to be some sort of manipulative mastermind, but perhaps more than he made himself out to be. During her time spent with him he had proven to be quite the jokester, one with goals, but a jokester none the less. Was all of that an act? Might there be much more to Conri Lane than met the eye?

The way of Conri spoke to the King was in a sense disrespectful and while normally it would call for the King to address the slight but in this given circumstance he could not afford to lose his spy on Zex. This represented an unprecedented opportunity to possibly expand his holdings. As honorable as Tsuyo was he would be a fool to possibly pass up that chance. His first duty was to that of the throne of New Vegeta everything after that was second priority. Meaning if the opportunity presented itself he would have to set aside his own honor in order to further the kingdom for the future generations of Saiyans. However Conri could not know this and even now he could not fully tell that to his daughter either, that lesson would be for another day.
“I would not bring hostilities to those planets. My main cause for this intrigue is to find out what Prometheus Zex is planning. After that are business will be done for now. I hope that is understandable,” The King stated trying to put aside his dislike of being talked to as if he were some kind of common cur. Corni would no longer be used after he managed to get the coordinates to Tsuyo. The half Saiyan mercenary was nothing more than that, a mercenary and from his connections was someone to watch in the future. If he did in fact get selected by Zex was a genuine purpose, coupled with his way of finding his way into the King’s graces and winning the tournament it could only be assumed he had alterior motives. Hopefully Akassa would pick up on this. But soon Conri would be no longer useful to the crown.
“Is there anything else you wanted before you are dismissed?” Tsuyo said emphasizing he was still the one in power.

It seemed that the question was somehow inappropriate as Akassa mentioned remembering who he was speaking to and how he was speaking, but for Conri this was how he spoke to people. He wasn't sure what she meant though, raising an eyebrow slightly in confusion, hopefully she might explain things a bit later on what she meant. Still, he had to make sure that this wasn't going to turn into some kind of war or attempt at subjugating the people of the planet should they prove non-hostile. What else was he supposed to say in this situation, he wasn't just some mindless slave that did whatever he was told after all. If there was something that he didn't agree with then people could be damn sure that he wasn't going to just keep quiet about it, that was how nothing got changed.
"Very well, if that's the case then I'll take the transponder with me," he figured if there was anything suspicious about it, he could always just chuck it later. While most might have thought of him as a mercenary, very few mercenaries were in such control of their contracts like he was, where he had the power to cancel it on a whim. The best thing about Conri and his group, is that he was upfront about everything that he was about, and that was freedom, most especially his own. That plus deciding things on a whim, it was all so much fun letting people try to guess what he would do next really. When asked if there was anything else, while he did have a few questions, he figured some things were better left to figuring out for himself.
"Nope, I should be good now, so I'll be taking my leave," with that he bowed his head respectfully, and turned to leave. If everything was finished then he had a few other things to take care of at the moment and he figured getting started sooner rather than later would be the best way to do that.
