Roxsenne used all the power in her body to jump across the roofs on Beach Tree Island. She felt herself rather safe after having deflected attacks from both the X-Fighters and NEON before running away, especially after she could not feel their Destine, ki signatures, nearby her. She smirked as she landed on a tiled roof and stretched her arms above her head, closed her eyes, and opened her mouth to suck in salty beach air.
"That was rather easy," she told herself. As she opened her eyes, again though a man from the X-Fighters, the one with glasses jumped up into the air in front of her landed on the roof before her.
"You're not getting away!" he announced as he pointed his finger at her. There was a bit of sweat coming off his brow but somehow he was generating a powerful field of ki around him.
"Wow," she uttered as she pointed her sword at him, “I have no idea how you managed to follow me, but is that a ki barrier?"
The man answered, as he lowered his hand and clenched his fist, "Of course it is. However, that does not matter. I am not letting you leave this area. Nor am I letting you get around me if you have decided to use force. You will be brought in and interrogated by King Fuhrer himself if I have to take you there."
Roxsenne gripped her sword in both hands and raised the blade to her eye level. She had no idea who the King Fuhrer was but she was not about to be dragged over to someone important for having done nothing wrong to the Earth people of planet Earth. She wanted to say this to him, but kept her mouth shut.
"Rumor has it that you talked with supernatural people or aliens recently and one of them was in an alleged attack against a farmer. He managed to survive, but he was not happy about it, so 'they', the group NEON called us in to attract your attention. They apparently had some trouble capturing you in a forest near Mount Paozu a couple days ago."
This young man was pretty well informed. Yet that was not going to stop Roxsenne at all. She charged her Star Sword technique, letting the ki flow through her sword's sharp form, and rushed forward to slash her blade downward at him. A barrier blocked her attack though and her sword collided with it making a heavy grating noise. She shifted her sword performing an upper-right diagonal slash, only to find that barrier still held against her second attack. Roxsenne had a clear idea that this shield was strong so she moved her Destine into the point of her weapon and stabbed at the man with a strong Star Point attack. This effort did not work though because of his barrier. She could not stab her away through it due to how thick his ki was.
She leaped back and the man laughed. "I am the best defense technique user in the X-Fighters. You best be on your way in chains to the Fuhrer since I am not letting you pass. As long as I do not move and keep churning out ki you cannot get around me due to my Energy Barrier's ability to completely protect me."
Roxsenne felt something was not right. The man only had put out five thousand units of power earlier when he had first roped her and stopped her from doing things the first time they had met. Now he was stopping her power of twenty five thousand with a barrier that only topped five thousand points of ki. It confused her since she felt the man should have only had a twenty five percent-survival rate against her attacks with that level of power.
She slammed the end of her blade into the tiled roof and then demanded of him as she rested her hands on it, "What is your level of Destine, or rather your ki, I should be killing you multiple times over for your insolence against me peasant."
"If you must ask," the man began as his power began to grow. “It is not a measly five thousand your advanced ki sensing is picking up. It is a whole lot more. I would say, um, at least ninety thousand give or take, but I really do not like to use it due to how much of a strain it is."
The man raised his hand and a ball of energy formed in it. It was a basic ki blast, but Roxsenne could definitely feel a great deal of power radiating from the orb as he collected energy within himself. "I am so dead, or am I?" she thought as she began to raise her own power. His aura, which was violet, grew bigger. Her aura, which was blue, was only beginning to grow. There was no way she would be able to compete with this power if he finished charging his basic attack first. She had very few skills to defend herself with but quickly reached her Squire Transformation state and erected a small mobile energy barrier around herself. What her simple, mobile Energy Barrier could not handle, well, her physically strong body and armor would.
Her enemy's blast was ready an instant later and she took it full force, noticing that his barrier had already disappeared as he fired his attack. She took the moment to rush him while moving within her smaller barrier. She could feel her chest burn as she swung her sword out and attempted to use her Parry ability to knock his blast aside. She was three inches too low with her swing but continued forward despite the pain. Her sword glowed with the power of her Star Sword attack in effect, as she came at him with a horizontal left to right sweep one foot from his neck.
The attack should have hit, but the man was quite surprising and in the last second managed to erect his non-mobile energy barrier to block her weapon. She gritted her teeth and the man laughed as he used his barrier to push her off the roof. He then ran after her and dropped down from the air as she fell, his barrier of course gone again, and landed on her stomach with his black sneakers.
"Hurts don’t it to feel so weak? I have not even begun to fight, but as I probably have shown I am the strongest of the X-Fighters."
Roxsenne could feel a great deal of pain surge through her despite her ability to have a living suit of armor over top of her soft flesh. It almost felt like he had stepped on and crushed her esophagus, plus at least one rib. It annoyed her very much and she spat up blood. "I will get past you..."
The man kicked her sword away, which lay a foot from her right hand and said, "Nope, I don't think so." She was glad she was in her squire form and had on armor for the next thing he did was stomp his left foot down onto her breasts. Roxsenne screamed in pain. He was going to finish her off but suddenly the sound of a missile flying through the air across the street reached his ears. From the window, the man that Roxsenne had kicked out of her training chamber, Avery de Lance, had fired this weapon onto the X-Fighter in glasses.
He smirked and cried, "Take that!" as the missile exploded in Roxsenne and at the X-Fighter and his immediate area. To both their disappointments, the man in glasses had erected his barrier yet again. He was a fast and cunning one and had sensed the intent to kill from Avery a mile away; however, Avery was not alone.
