Word had traveled instantly, as the two planets were so closely connected. Almost as soon as it happened an aide rushed in to Fuhrer King Buraddori’s office and told him the news. With a sigh he sat back in his chair, fingers pursed together and thumbs pressed against the underside of his chin. A terrible terrible thing to have occurred… so many would have died in the initial explosions. By the time any aid would reach them terrible damage would have been done to the Saiyan ports, and who knows what was going on in the interior of the palace? Was the king alive? Was the queen? And what of the children? If the entire Saiyan royal family was dead who would succeed the throne? And if that happened… what of the peace between Earth and New Vegeta.
Tsyuo was a fair and reasonable man, Buraddori and he had often been able to come to agreeable terms. Indeed very few of their talks ended even close to poorly. His mind was made up, Earth would send aide to New Vegeta. Whatever they could help with, whatever they needed, Earth was a stalwart ally of New Vegeta and would remain that way.
“Elezabeth!” His deep and commanding voice called out to his young assistant. She poked her head in the door, eyes filled with fright. No doubt she too had heard the news, every news station on Earth would be reporting about the attacks on New Vegeta. No doubt they were all wondering if Earth was next.
“Get me Kami. We need to discuss our next course of action. Schedule a press conference for six. And tell the generals that we are now officially on red alert. There is a chance that if this was an attack that whomever did this will target Earth next, we can’t be too cautious and we can’t be sure this was an attack provoked by hatred towards Saiyans alone.” He rose from his desk whilst issuing his commands, and as soon as his last word left his mouth she rushed from the doorway, off to do his bidding. Stoically he walked over to the window and looked out, out into the streets of the capital city. Cars rushed by and pedestrians lazily strolled about, other rushing to get to their duties.
These were his people. No harm would come to them if he could prevent it. Just as he had done with that Icer, so too would he do to any new threat that would befall Earth. He nearly jumped out of his skin when a hand placed itself on his shoulder. Turning his fear turned into relief as he looked into the hyena-like face of his most trusted advisor, Kemuri.
“My lord word has reached my ears about the troubles on Vegeta. How terrible. Word must be sent to Kami at once.” The hyena-like man looked out the window, though what he was thinking the Fuhrer couldn’t say. The king nodded. “Elezabeth is on it right now. We will meet in the war-room. I trust you will be there.” Buraddori turned his back and resumed his vigil at the window, as if staring out of it could prevent any future attacks from occurring. His ears did not pick up on his advisor’s scoff underneath his breath, too focused was he? It was clear that he was done speaking, his mind far too caught up in future plans. No doubt of Earth and New Vegeta.
“Of course my lord. I wouldn’t miss it for the world.” Kemuri turned and walked out of the room, his next destination the war room. When Kami got there, the actions and fate of Earth would be decided.

Kaladar was sitting in the center of the lookout, meditating. Before he entered his meditation session he told Mr. Popo to leave and to let no one disturb him. A lot has happened to The Guardian of Earth as of late and he needed time to think everything over. All of the warriors he has meet, one of them surely has the potential to become the next Guardian. It was only a matter of time before that person came before Kaladar. If Kaladar only knew what was coming maybe he would have been able to stop it. Hours passed before Kaladar as interrupted by Mr. Popo.
“Kami something terrible has happened on the Moon, you have been summoned by the king to see him immediately.”
“What has happened Popo. This better be important, important enough that you are interrupting me right now?” Kaladar said as he slowly got to his feet.
“I was just contacted by the kings Assistant Elizabeth. She said that the king needed to speak to you immediately. I wasn’t able to find out what is going on, but I don’t think you should wait around to find out. I suggest you head over there immediately to see what the King has found out. ” Mr. Popo explained
He felt bad for not answering Mr. Popo but the king didn’t need to wait for his arrival any longer. There had to be some reason the king needed to speak with Kaladar so urgently. Without hesitation Kaladar jumped off the Lookout and sped toward the king’s Palace. It wouldn’t take Kami too long to reach the King’s Palace. Landing on the doorstep, Kami would ignore the soldiers standing on guard. Making his way through the front door he would be immediately greeted by the king’s assistant Elizabeth. She didn’t say anything, she jkust motioned Kami to follow her to where the king was. Upon entering the room Kaladar could see the king and Kemuri conversing over what was going on.
“Greetings my king Why is it that you have called for me? What is going on that you have called this meeting?

Kami, long trusted advisor and friend to the Fuhrer-King entered the room as Kemuri was departing from it. The hyena man stopped and looked the elder up and down before turning and leaving the room without a word. Buraddori felt the man’s presence long before he had even entered the building, both by his ki and by the strong bond the two men shared. It wouldn’t have been possible for the Fuhrer to rise to the position he held without the other man. They had faced Vector together, and Buraddori would never forget it. They would face this crisis together too as well.
An assistant dashed into the room and handed the Fuhrer a packet of paper, dashing from the room immediately as he did so. There would be many such occurrences over the next few hours, each new packet containing more and more information on the events on New Vegeta as it became available. Without a word to Kami yet the Fuhrer withdrew his reading glasses from the inside of his jacket and flipped open the packet then skimmed through it. Largely it was the same information, though two things stuck out. The Universal Church of One in bold letters. And the other… Tsyuo. His condition was unknown, but reports were that anyone who could read powerlevels felt his drop rapidly, and to a low it had never been seen at before. Was he dead? That… that was uncertain.
“It’s things like this that make me feel my age my friend.” He said after a long pause, not even bothering to turn from the window, but instead kept his constant vigil. Knowing the man so well, he tossed the packet behind him, assured that Kami would catch it and read it just as quickly as he had. New Vegeta had been attacked, and from an enemy that they did not know to be so bold. What would Earth’s reaction to this be? That was what they were there to decide. The Fuhrer turned and walked passed his friend straight through the door Kemuri had exited from, turned and walked down a spiral staircase into the war room. Kami was sure to follow. Kemuri stood off to the side, looking at a map of New Vegeta and circling the areas that had been attacked. The space port and the Throne Room.
“It will be hard to mount any kind of counter offensive without access to the space port, and without word from Tsyuo we can’t even be sure our aid would be welcomed. The last thing we would want is to land and start being attacked by Saiyans ourselves in the confusion.” Buraddori sat at the head of a long table that stretched across the room. A virtual three-d model of the Earth and New Vegeta hung in the center. Other members of the King’s Cabinet began to file in and take their seats, having been summoned by the King.
“Moreover my lord is the question, Should we help? It’s not Earth’s problem.” Kemuri pointed out, and the Fuhrer-King was surprised at how many around the table nodded in agreement.
“Before any decisions are made, Kami, I’d like to hear your thoughts.”

As Kaladar saw the king, another of his assistants Kemuri passed by Kaladar looking him up and down. Kaladar never particularly trusted the individual, but he hasn’t done anything wrong in his many years of service. He watched as another assistant ran in carrying packets, then just as fast as the assistant entered he left. Kaladar watched as the King began to read through one of the packets. When he noticed the king stop reading, the king tossed the packet over his back at Kaladar. Catching the document he chuckled a bit at the kings comment. Reading through the packet of papers, Kaladar was shocked to see what was written.
New Vegeta had been attacked by a force called the Universal Church of One. The sayian King has been attacked and his Power Level has dropped significantly in a matter of minutes. This news was troubling, why would this Church attack the Moon unprovoked. Kaladar didn’t know what to say as he dropped the packet on the table. The King made his way passed Kami and through the door that Kemuri had left them from not one minute earlier. Kaladar followed the king thorugh the door, down a spiral staircase and into the war room. He noticed Kemuri circling places on a map. No doubt they were pleaces that were attacked by the Church. Kaladar listened as the king explained a counter offensive would be impossible without the space-port or word from Tsuyo.
As the king brought up a three-dimensional map of Earth and New Vegeta, the kings cabinet members began to enter the room. Then Kemuri was the next to speak, saying should we help and that it isn’t Earth’s problem. Kaladar looked from cabinet member to cabinet member a surprising amount of them agreed with Kemuri. But the king refused to do anything until he heard Kami’s input.
“Well my king I believe that it is Earth’s problem, the Saiyans are our closets ally’s and if we sit back and do nothing. That could cause more problems, like an all out war between the Earth and Moon. We need to try to get vessels up there and help out any wounded and help take this Church out.” Kaladar said taking a breath “You may not see it that way Kemuri, but you are wrong this time. Not helping would cause more problems for us in the future. We need to do something, we need to help them out in any way we can.”

The Fuhrer-King nodded, taking in Kaladar’s words and thinking them over. Perhaps he was right. New Vegeta was the closest ally to Earth, both in terms of physical location and relationship. Still the question could be raised, if this was happening to Earth, would the Saiyans even care? Kaladar’s mention of a war between Earth and New Vegeta nearly made the King laugh, and had the situation been different he might have. The Saiyans could ill afford a war with Earth at the current moment, so that was a non-issue. Still it would worsen relations. Perhaps to an irreparable level. Then again perhaps it hadn’t even occurred to the Saiyans to ask for Earths help, or to expect it. There were many factors.
“Are you really so stu-” Kemuri began, but with a stern look and a raise of his hand Buraddori silenced him. Kemuri scoffed and leaned against the wall.
“No my friend, I don’t think a war would occur should we not send help. Especially if what I’ve read in these reports are true. The King, Tsyuo, is either dead or badly injured, and their space port is all but destroyed. Declaring war on us would only lead to their entire destruction. But you are right in one respect. This is Earth’s problem as well. The Saiyans have always been a trustworthy, if quiet, ally.” Buraddori stood and began walking around the table, his generals looking up at him, following his every word. He came to a rest in front of the map that Kemuri had circled.
“Major General Armstrong, being prepping rescue ships, I want them up to New Vegeta as quickly as we can get them there. General Mustang, I want a report on Tsyuo asap. I need to know if the King is alive or if… Gods help us… Ninjin Hattori is the new Saiyan King.”

Kaladar waited for the kings response, but would get a response from Kemuri instead. As Kemuri began to talk, he was silenced by the king before he could finish. Kaladar just smiled at Kemuri and focused his attention back on the king. He listened to the king and nodded in agreement that a war might not break out with Earth and the Moon. It wouldn’t be good for the Moon to go to war with their king either dead or gravely wounded. Kaladar was glad to hear that the king agreed that the attack on the moon was in fact Earth’s problem. The king began to walk around the table, all of the generals in the room following his every movement.
“Kami How is the meeting going with the king? Is everything alright?”
“I will explain everything when I return Popo, but I need you to do something for me. I need you to get in contact with the strongest warriors that are on Earth, and Jenn. Tell them to find me at the king’s palace. There has to be some warriors that I have met that will want to help. Please do this task with haste Popo time is of the essence.”
“You can count on me Kami I will get a hold of some of the fighters that you have trained. Let’s hope they are still on Earth.”
“Let’s hope Popo, let’s hope.”
Kaladar focused his attention back onto the king; he had just given a command to his final General. Everything was beginning to fall into place. Kaladar hoped that the people Popo contacted would find their way here to the palace.
“Well my friend what is our next move?” Kaladar said placing his hands on the table

Blah. Blah. Blah. There had been attacks on New Vegeta, but who cared? What was the fuss all about? It wasn’t Earth that had been attacked, just those filthy monkey-men up on the moon. Served them right. These were the thoughts going through Kemuri’s head as he stood listening to the Fuhrer- King in his office. It didn’t involve Earth, so it would be best not to get involved. But of course that wouldn’t be the King’s stance. No, he was far too soft hearted to let something like this happen to an ally so close. But it was a time to strike! The Saiyans could be off the moon and Earth could be the power it once was. But no. That wouldn’t happen.
Kemuri played his role dutifully, even half-convincingly faking his despair over the events. The king had agreed with him about summoning Kami. It was a good idea and a sound strategy, the guardian of Earth should be informed if anything was to happen on Earth. But of course nothing would. This was the Universal Church of One attacking the Saiyans. Something that was a long time coming if you asked the hyena-man himself. The church had it right, but he wasn’t a follower or anything like that. A little genocide went a long way though…
The Fuhrer-King dismissed Kemuri right as Kami was walking into the room. The anthropomorph stopped and looked him up and down, taking in the full measure of the guardian of earth. He didn’t see what all the fuss was about. If the king wanted to, or had the mind to, he could snap Kaladar in half without breaking a sweat. But then again Buraddori wasn’t like that, and together they made a powerful force that even Tsyuo would be stupid to try and take on. But then Tsyuo wouldn’t be fighting anyone for a long time it seemed.
Was the King of Saiyans dead? If so that mutt Ninjin Hattori would have ascended the throne and then the whole race was damned. Kemuri smiled as he traversed the steps down into the war room. The thought of Ninjin Hattori on the throne was hilarious. The young man’s arrogance would be the downfall of the entire race, and that made the hyena-man laugh.
The war-room was empty when Kemuri finished coming down the final step. It was to be expected, the news had only just come in about the attacks and the various Generals and aides would still be on their way to the castle. The smoke and flesh creature moved to the King’s chair and patted it lovingly, moving and doing the same to the guardian’s. One day he would have one of those chairs. It didn’t matter to him which of the seats it was, he just desired a position of power on Earth. After, he moved off to the side of the room and brought down a map of the moon. New Vegeta as it was now called. He began circling the areas of attacks when the Fuhrer-King walked down, quickly followed by Kami and then the rest of the generals began piling in. Kemuri listened as the men would droll on, bored out of his skull.
Kami’s suggestion that New Vegeta would possibly go to war with Earth was so asinine that he felt he had to comment, but a look from the Fuhrer-King silenced him. The two in charge finished making the plans to help, and all the generals rose, ready to do the duties they had been charged with. New Vegeta would receive help from Earth if all went according to plan. It would not. The Fuhrer-King returned to his seat, and was prepared to have the room alone.
“Gentlemen, if I could just have another brief minute of your time.” Kemuri began, and those gathered looked at him confusedly. It was very unlike the King’s aide to address them all, at least after the king had given his final word.
“What is this about Kemuri?” Buraddori asked, not suspiciously but with an air of impatience. The anthropomorph smiled. With a slight flourish he brought his arm up to his eye, as if checking the time. On his watch he pressed a button, and two metal rings shot out from where he had “lovingly” patted the chairs of the Fuhrer-King and the Guardian. They quickly attached themselves around the necks of the two gentlemen.
“Gentlemen, my dear King and Kami, what you have around your necks are devices of my own creation. Over years and years of working closely with you I’ve develop these especially for you. If you’ll notice, your power-level cannot rise over that of a mere child’s. Buraddori, you’ll notice that all of your clones have vanished. You are the sole Fuhrer-King. Except you’re not that anymore either.” The look of disbelief on everyone gathered in the room’s face was a sight more satisfying than Kemuri could have ever imagined. A flash of rage passed over Buraddori’s face, and he reached up to rip the collar off.
“Ah ah ah.” The hyena said quickly, Buraddori’s hands froze resting on the collar. “If you attempt to remove the collar, they detonate. And oh no you might be thinking, what’s a harmless C4 explosion going to do to me, King of Earth and so mighty. Keep in mind your powerlevel is that of a child. You try and remove it, you die.” Kemuri said it so matter-of-factly, and with such pride. Buraddori looked at him in disbelief.
“How could you do this?! You were my friend. I trusted you.”
“I sincerely hope you won’t make that mistake again.” He said with a smile. He then turned towards the generals. “Gentlemen, Earth is mine now. Join with me, or die.”
“You’ll never get away with this.” Buraddori roared. “There are heroes stronger than you, they’ll make you pay.” Kemuri clicked his tongue and pouted at the king.
“I lied about being your loyal assistant all these years; do you really think I’ve ever shown you my true power? Let them come. The world is mine.” The gathered Generals looked at each other, and then bowed their heads. What could they do? The age of Kemuri had begun. [/font]
