Roxsenne sat in a bar with Avery de Lance and Cons-ante de La Rein next to her deep asleep. She was tired after having traveled Earth and had gotten in a lot of trouble with humans, but had also found a lot of helpful people besides her two companions besides Azazel and Dawn, who she had recently found nearby or met. Counting the days on her hands, since her time leaving her home world of Castelle she found that she had been gone from her planet for nearly fifty eight Earth days. A time she knew to be in her own time as nearly forty one Castellan or two months in her time. It made her think long and hard about her slow progress as she thought about the fact that she was messing important celebrations while getting attacked by crazy, fearful alien bounty hunters and the like.
It was taking too long and she knew this because today was the two hundredth fifty four day in their calendar. Pretty much the end of the year. She sighed and thought, "Might as well pig out on the Pigus Patronus." This was the day Roxsenne's people honored their weakest warriors, whose job it was to feed soldiers and stronger warriors, by eating whatever they offered for the rest of the day. Even if they were full.
Sadly, because Avery and Cons-ante were clearly asleep she felt bad she could not at least get Cons-ante to make others participate so she moved herself towards doing this by herself by ordering fifteen baskets of french fries. This shocked the bar keeper but when she offered a ton of Zeni from her pockets he obliged her with a large meal. When it was all ready Roxsenne took the nearest basket of fries to her and began to stuff them in her mouth. She was lucky she was an alien because her body could digest the food better than a human would, however, because she was a woman she knew she had a much weaker stomach at times and could feel herself getting full after the tenth basket of food. She leaned back in her chair and looked at five baskets of fries in front of her and thought, "How is human food so filling?"
Then she realized that all their food was made from potatoes, or at least the fries were, chef had told her when she asked. The potato was a luxury food on the planet Castelle, so because of this she found reason to continue eating after fifteen minutes of rest and stuffed her face with five more baskets of french fries.
Then she rose from her seat and announced to the chef, "I'll be back in two hours, make more fries and those sandwiches from cows I know are on your menu. I must eat more and pay you for your good services!"
The chef thought this was insane, but Roxsenne flashed a good deal more money at him and said, "This will be yours if you feed me more at a later time." The chef could only nod before turning back around to slave over a hot grill. He noticed out of the corner of his eye the seeming fit woman run out the door though with a slightly bulging belly. It made him wonder where she kept all her food, but he kept his thoughts to himself.
Roxsenne did not mind his hard work, slaving over food was good work and he was honoring her insane holiday, even though she was having to pay him for it. She couldn't help but feel though that human food was far too rich and felt a strong desire to run off all the weight now gathered inside her body's two stomachs. She began by doing jumping jacks, then some push ups, and finally some lunges. It was not enough though so she did a series of back flips all around the island. With such intense training she soon came back sweating buckets and although she was covered in grease ate more to celebrate the last holiday of the year. All the while, the two men she had been with during her last fight continued to sleep. Both Avery and Cons-ante did not awaken until they smelt an extreme putrid stench coming from the bar off of Roxsenne's body. She had gone out again a second and third time repeating her intense eating habit and exercise regiment twice over.
"Dear Kami!" Avery uttered as she came in the third time annd sat down, "What smells like a dead cow?"
Cons-ante yawned and asked, "Milady did I miss the holiday of Pigus Patronus?" Roxsenne nodded. Then Cons-ante slapped himself in the face.
"Must redeem myself!" he cried as he stood up and ran out of the bar. An hour later he came back with three strangled ducks and threw them at the cook.
"What the heck?" the cook cried as he realized someone was trying to make him cook more, and a wild animal at that. At least the lady had paid him three times over for the food she had already scarfed down like a bulldozer.
"Milady requires nourishment. Make duck breast and pate immediately." Cons-ante ordered as he clapped his hands together.
The cook sighed and Roxsenne slipped him a golden Zeni coin worth more than some of the Zeni paper bills she had been giving him. An hour later it was done and Roxsenne ate what was served. This kind of eating was probably nowhere near the Saiyan level of eating habits because after she had finished her meal she walked out of the bar again barfed on the road.
"Dear me," Cons-ante said as he followed her, "It seems Pigus has blessed you with strength. Avery, who caught up to them was watching and listening to the whole situation knew not what was going on, but Cons-ante explained the story of Pigus. A space dragon who said he would once eat an entire city of Caballye unless someone did not eat more than him. He challenged a single person to an eating contest and scrawny little boy stepped up to challenge him to a eating a mountain made of pie. At the end of this contest, Pigus died from his stomach exploding and he asked the kid with his final breath, "How did you beat me?"
"I cheated..." the kid told him. "While you were focused on eating, since I know you dragons do that frequently, I ate my food at a slower pace, exercised while you were eating, and then came back to eat more." Simply put he had taken his time to chew his food and for that reason Pigus Patronus was formed for it was the day of bad eaters turning into good men by following the basics of Caballye culture. "To chew your food slowly and take your time." Something that Roxsenne had forgotten to do.
