Carla woke up again, realizing she was in Bear's arms, quickly slid out of them and rubbed her eyes as she caught the last of his words, "Did you say something about cover fire? I've been nearly unconscious for three to five minutes here," she uttered. She looked around and watched Azazel kick and punch the stronger Kemuri at speeds much faster then her eyes could follow. She also witnessed Mahajenn strike out with her smoky form at now four new Kemuri's with a long staff.
It was a hectic battle and she was unsure what to do. She looked at Bear again and said, "Let's provide cover fire. These guys are strong and if we're caught while running around to search for Kami we're toast."
Her brown eyes focused on the four Kemuri's Mahajenn was was fighting and with her full power she formed a fiery, red orb in her hands. Then she shouted at Mahajenn, "Watch out for my Thunder Flash!" before shooting it directly towards where the Kemuri clones were getting struck, or so it seemed to her slow eyes.

The battle escalated very quickly, Kemuri splitting into another four beings. Bear could hardly keep up with the Demon-girl's battle, most of their movements only blurs. The bandaged girl powered up, attacking the newly-formed clones. It seemed that everyone was verse enough in combat to hold their own. This was a good thing.
Carla slowly came too, catching Bear off gaurd as she slipped away from him. Her choice was to provide coverfire; the same thing Bear had in mind. Crouching low, arms bend beside him, Bear drew all his power, causing his muscles to bugle, veins looking as if about to burst. However slim, going Bearserk would give him a better chance to survive.
Cocking his right hand back, he began to draw even more ki from him. A ball of Drunken Fury began to form in Bear's palm, growing by the second. At this point, Bear was basically hoping that his low power level would play out to his advantage, allowing him to charge his attack without disturbance, "Watch my back, Carla. It'll only take a second for this old drunk to get it up!"

Kami this and Kami that… all anyone seemed to want from him was Kami. Didn’t they care about him?! Didn’t they care…? If the Fuhrer-King was here Kemuri was actually worried that his feelings might be hurt. The hyena laughed at the thought but quickly regained his composure. They wouldn’t be getting Kami The demonness had just asked him, for what seemed like the umpteenth time from these people, about Kami.
“First you attack me, and then you try civility? Seems to me, as an outside viewer, that your tactics may be in need of work. No my dear, Kami stays exactly where he is. As does the king if anyone cares…” He said and then began to cackle. The woman had been covered by a bit of his smoke, enough to weigh part of her arm down. Good. It would be all that he needed to finish her off. Demon or mortal it mattered very little to the Hyena-man. They would all die for daring to defy him. This was Kemuri’s world now, and his word was law.
With much show he brought his hands together in front of him, his fingers dancing back and forth like a sorcerer casting a spell. A black swirling ball of smoke formed between them. It looked as though it was devoid of light, or that all light that came near it was sucked in or extinguished by it. It was something made by someone pure evil, that much could be certain.
“Goodbye my dear.” He launched it at her, and then turned to face the others gathered that were confronting his weaker clone. He was confident to the utmost that it would be enough to finish her off.
~~~
The cane of the blue woman cut through his clones like a knife through butter, but the real Kemuri knew it would. With both paws he reached up and caught the blasted thing. It was beautifully made, and though wielded unskillfully in his opinion by the blue tart it would fare much better within his hands. He lashed out with his foot and attempted to remove her from the end of it. He would proceed to kick her in the midsection until she released it. He wanted it, and if there was anything he had proven since taking over the castle it was that he always got what he wanted.
“I’ll be taking that.” Would come out as a bark as he took the cane. If the blue woman still refused to get go of the cane he would open his mouth and fire a large purple blast directly in her face. A spinning blast would careen over towards them, but Kemuri would simply backhand it away. It was too weak to do any real damage to him, though it did leave the back of his paw burnt and smoking.
“Retreat and you may still live.” He would bark at the two weakest members of the group.
Azazel hoped that Kemuri would consider releasing Kami, but she knew it was going to be a long shot for that to happen. So when he said that the two of them were going to be staying where they were, it didn’t surprise her. This man was confident that he was going to win this fight, that he was going to keep Kami and the King captured. She watched as he began moving his hands around looking like he was going to cast something. Little did he know, she was storing up energy in her mouth, just for this very moment. As the swirling ball of smoke began to form between Kemuri’s hand, she knew he was going to attack her.
“I knew talking to him wasn’t going to work. I don’t even know why I thought it would. He seems intent on keeping the King and Kami where ever they are. Well it looks like we are going to have to find them ourselves.”
Not turning her attention to the other fight also going on. She was able to see Kemuri launch the smoke ball directly at her. She heard his comment, and couldn’t believe he thought this was going to end her. Releasing the Kiai scream that she had been building up. The two attacks met and were evenly matched. Her Kiai was able to destabilize the solid ball of smoke, causing it to spread out. Looking for Kemuri, he was trying to make his way back to the other Kemuri. No doubt trying to take out the others. Quickly making her way to a position in front of him. She would release another Kiai scream at Kemuri. Her intent was to push him back, which is exactly what she was going to do. Charging up black ki in her right hand, she would launch a couple strong blasts at Kemuri. The blasts would have just enough strength behind them to push him back, or at least attempt to.
“Your arrogance is going to finish you Kemuri. You couldn’t have honestly believed your attack was going to end me? Our fight is far from over.” Azazel would say smiling at Kemuri
Jenn held a half grin even as Kemuri managed to grab a hold of the cane, it had served its ultimate purpose of discerning the real Kemuri from the fakes and had even managed to confirm that the fakes were all but useless against her outside of being a visual distraction she noted however the look of greedy interest Kemuri had on his face as he snatched her cane and as he lashed out with the first kick to remove Jenn from her hold on the can Jenn would likely to the hyena man’s surprise release it without even so much as an attempt to bring the cane along with her as she rolled with the blow, the kick hit HARD even with her attempt but Jenn did her best to keep the pain out of her expression instead keeping up a almost cocky grin as if she knew more about the situation than Kemuri.
“Now let’s see if you can keep it” Jenn said with a smirk as almost instantly the cane dissolved into blue smoke right in Kemuri’s grasp leaving the would be King unarmed once again. “It appears you’re not quite worthy of my gifts” Jenn said as the very same cane would reform back in her grasp. “Perhaps once you learn a little bit about manners then you’ll be deserving of gifts. If you want to be King you should perhaps TRY something akin to etiquette.” Jenn said her tone filled with condescension “You can’t just take everything you want like some sort of spoiled child.” Jenn continued as Kemuri backhanded an attack from Carla.
Once Kemuri turned his attention onto Carla and Bear trying to get them to leave in exchange for their survival, something Jenn was rather sure was a lie Jenn would dash forward and attempt to slam her cane into Kemuri’s jaw “Eyes forward Kemuri! It’s rude to ignore someone while you’re having a conversation! Do I need to teach you EVERYTHING about etiquette?” Jenn would taunt while taking a few more swings at Kemuri trying to land a hit anywhere she could but preferring to aim for the face and groin. With luck her attack would return Kemuri’s focus onto her and allow Carla and Bear more chances to hit Kemuri while distracted.
Carla watched in horror as her own attack against Kemuri was back handed away like it was some cheap stunt. Their foe then offered her and Bear the choice to leave with their lives or die. Gritting her teeth, she gathered her power while Jenn struck out at Kemuri with her cane. She seemed very angry that the man was acting like a brat in front of them all in terms of trying to make everything happening so far go his way. Carla was not sure how that was going to turn out, but as of now her eyes were only focused on the weaker Kemuri because Azazel's high-speed battle in her demon form was so fast Carla was unable to follow them.
She thought to herself, "What should I do? Jenn's got our opponent in close combat and if I fire again at him with the same move Kemuri might not simply knock the attack way. He may just redirect it at us all."
She stood there trying to figure out how to take action in this situation and grabbed both her blades by the hilt. "I need to switch with her I think," Carla realized, "I am a close range assasin."
Do so then... Pandora instructed her, but do so quickly.
"I will," she told Pandora. Not wanting to distract Jenn or alert the enemy, Carla dropped her total power down to one thousand with her power of Ki Suppression. After doing this, she left a weak Zanzoken after image of herself staring terrified at the battle for all to see. Then she took the opportunity to dash along the right side of Kemuri while Jenn was fighting him up close. With her power lowered, thanks to her Ki Suppression technique, she swung out horizontally with her left hand from behind Kemuri's back. This attempt to strike him hopefully do some damage to him since he seemed distracted by the genie, however, has her prior attempts showed it was likely only to scratch him. All throughout this highly difficult combo Carla felt like Kemuri had the ability to attack her at any point yet she initiated it because it was the smartest thing she was able to come up with.
Long range attacks were not in her arsenal of powers. And even if she did use them, it was not her style or strong suit. Kemuri had greater abilities then he was showing them already. Carla was almost certain of this due to the fact they were having such trouble taking down one of his clones.
It seemed as though millenniums passed as Bear charged his attack. He was gaining the energy he wanted, but it was only a trickle. And as the war in front of him raged on, it seemed to prove only one thing; time was not something they had on their side. Sweat dripped from Bear's brow to the floor at a steady rate, beginning to pool under him as he drew out energy that surpassed his own. For the most part, he was safe. Kemuri and his clones were mainly occupied by the other warriors they faced. However, any slim hope of safety vanished as Kemuri spoke:
"Retreat and you may still live." Obviously this dog was dumber than he looked; which was still setting the bar pretty low. Had any of them planned to back down, they wouldn't have showed up. Bear was no exception. "I've got just the thing brewing to shut your dumb ass up," he thought to himself, a sly smirk plastered on his face.
The thought of releasing the attack was humorous, but only that. He needed more time; just a few more minutes. The attack grew, but not the sphere; energy built in Bear's arm which held the ball of ki. And with his Ki Suppression, a distracted someone might simply see a man cowering. Maybe that could be used as an advantaged to him at some point. However, even with all his battle experience, Bear was not sure exactly what might happen next. He would simply have to be prepared for anything...
“Uh. Loud much?” Kemuri asked as the demon wench in front of him released her scream. He was forced to take a few steps backwards from the force of it, but their powers were even enough that he wasn’t thrown like her usual combatants. It was definitely not the effect that the demon woman was hoping for. The hyena-man tapped his ears as if she was forgetting something.
“Remember when I was playing that exceedingly loud music that kinda got a little painful? I was prepared for that. Evidently my mufflers works on your little tantrum yell as well. They allow me to hear everything normally and take noises above a certain decibel and tune them to a much lower, much less painful one. As for the lack of being thrown… I’m made out of smoke…” He laughed and then a small ki blast caught him in the shoulder. The spot where it hit smoked a slightly darker color than the usual smoke that surrounded the man.
“Oh no my dear. This fight is indeed over.” He bared his teeth. What was it that he had meant by that though?
~~~
The weaker Kemuri was done playing with the blue woman. She didn’t know what he knew though, and that very fact, when revealed, would freeze her in her tracks. She had stolen his cane once again, and that just wouldn’t do. People don’t take things from Kemuri, Kemuri takes things from people.
“Darling I’ve forgotten more about etiquette then you’ll ever know. I’m done being nice. I’m done being cordial. I can take everything I want, because there’s no one strong enough on this planet to stop me.” Her cane slammed into the smoke-hyena’s jaw, and he whipped around with fury in his eyes.
“I’m done playing with you fools.” A feeling like a pillow slamming into his back momentarily distracted the hyena man. He turned and looked at the small woman with only a thousand power-level. With a look of confusion the hyena backhanded the small girl with an open hand. Her power-level was one thousand, his was twenty-five thousand. There would be little she could do to avoid the twenty-five times stronger than her backhand. As he did so his paw would come back. This was done on purpose. When his hand came back the blue bitch would notice that he had a ring around his finger. A familiar ring to her.
But how could he know? Because unlike the Fuhrer-King and Kami, Kemuri had poured over every single book in the castle. The blue genie had been mentioned in a very select few of them written by a former Kami. As had the ring. Kami had been powerless to prevent the new overlord from taking it.
“I do so wish you’d stop attacking me.” Kemuri said with a smile. “And if not… well I’m curious to see what happens to you should the ring be destroyed.” He awaited the response from the blue women, but not for too long. Regardless of what she did, what would happen next would occur.
Suddenly there would no longer be two Kemuris, but rather one, with a power-level of one hundred thousand standing in the middle of the room.
“I have entertained you fools long enough. No more. You grow on my nerves. I said the weaker ones could leave. I tried to be nice. I tried to be accommodating. All you had to do was grovel at my feet and declare me your rightful king. But like all naïve heroes you thought you could do something to stop me. Fools. ” How would those gathered respond to the new occurrence?

Her Kiai wasn’t meant to hurt his ears, it was only meant to push him back or stop him in his place. Which it had done quite nicely, he was going to interfere in the others fight, at least not while Azazel was still here. She waited for him to continue their little fight, but that isn’t what would happen next. Instead her attention would be brought towards the other Kemuri as he was talking about a ring. Azazel had no idea what he was talking about, but the look on Jenn’s face would answer her questions.
“The ring must belong to her, but I wonder why Kemuri would be holding it in the first place. I don’t know what to do to take this man out, he is too strong for any of us to fight him. It appears he has found something that has Jenn’s interest.”
Suddenly the two Kemuri’s fused back into one, and Azazel could feel his power level rise again. There was nothing they could do now, well at least that is how Azazel saw it. Maybe he was right, maybe there wasn’t anyone on the planet that could defeat him. It would only be a matter of time before Kemuri decided to pick of Bear and Carla, them being the weaker members of this rag-tag group. Azazel made her way over to Kemuri and the others, trying to think of something to do.
She listened to Kemuri go on about how he was fed up with the group of “naïve heros” as he put it. Perhaps they should have listened to him in the first place when wasted recognition as king. Azazel learned recently where her kind comes from. She only now needed to find a way back to that place. Perhaps this new king could show her the way. That’s when the idea came to her; maybe giving him what he wants could turn out to be something in their favor. Whatever that ring was, it was special to Jenn. Azazel needed to figure out a way to get a hold of it and give it back to Jenn. Azazel took a few steps at Kemuri, then got down on one knee bowing her head.
{color=purple] “I guess fighting against you was indeed pointless, there is no one here that is strong enough to beat you. The only way out is to give in, and accept that you are King of Earth. What is the punishment for harming the new King of Earth? I accept my fate for what I have done. It seems that answering the call has led to nothing good.”[/color] Azazel said with her head bowed the entire time.
She hoped that Kenuri wouldn’t see through what she was trying to do, but he wouldn’t know exactly what her intentions were. The others would be confused, but it was better to keep them in the dark. She needed to get a hold of that ring. It was connected to Jenn, she hoped that Jenn might give a little explination as to why Kemuri even had it in the first place.

It took quite a bit of willpower on Jenn's part not to laugh at the ridiculousness of Kemuri's statement, the man really thought he knew more than her, she was fairly certain the man was being quite sincere when he made that claim and the hilarity of it was just too much for her even as fleeting a hobby as her study of etiquette had been it still accounted for the equivalent of a few hundred years out of her extensive lifespan if anything the opposite was true as Jenn most certainly had forgotten more on the subject than Kemuri had even had the chance to learn. Though of course she wouldn't admit it it was rather likely Kemuri in truth perhaps retained the information more. But that just made it a bit more enjoyable for Jenn that she had managed to ruffle his feathers on that point. The fact that she had followed that up by bashing him in his smug face with the cane he was so keen on obtaining made the small victory all the sweeter.
Jenn let out a frustrated growl as Kemuri sought to take out his anger at her on Carla and the only thing that stopped Jenn for seeking to intervene was that she caught sight of a familiar glint, Kemuri's hand seemed to swing back in her direction in a sort of horrifying slow motion and the greatest feat Jenn had when entering this encounter was realized. The Hyena had her ring, nestled on one of his grubby fingers her ring now came into perfect view and the sight made her feel physically ill, he had to have taken it before she had arrived she'd been so preoccupied with getting here as quickly as possible that she had missed the transition of command. Without actually being inside the ring the effects were far less noticeable but now that she was looking for it she could feel the connection and it took all of Jenns remaining willpower not to scream in fury. Kemuri was exactly the sort of monster that she had never wanted to be under the command of again. It sent a chill down her spine to think what the hyena might try to do but there was perhaps a small chance that he didn't REALLY know what he had.
"I do so wish you'd stop attacking me" The words rang through her skull and Jenn visibly gritted her teeth in frustration, the words seemed almost TOO conveniently chosen to be a coincidence and the sick feeling began to rise again, the only possibly good thing about this was that the wish was an utter waste if he DID know what he was doing it was clear he lacked complete knowledge. She couldn't have actually continued attacking if she wanted to, she could have continued attacking but ultimately she wouldn't have been capable of doing so with intent or ability to kill... It dawned on Jenn that perhaps THAT had been why she had been holding back as she was, in her mind it had been to trick Kemuri and unleash it later but perhaps in reality it was the new bond placing a limitation on her, as it was she was ultimately a non-threat to the TRUE Kemuri though at her full power she posed at least a small threat.
Any attempts to remain outwardly calm fell apart as Kemuri contemplated the destruction of her ring, the result of that would be awful to say the least, especially with Kami indisposed as he was. Finding a proper new container for her realm would be a monumental task and while it would free her from Kemuri if she DIDN'T find a new receptacle she would slowly waste away and ultimately die without one. Jenn found herself floating down to the floor and reforming her smoke into her normal body and even pulling the entirety of the blue smoke back into herself the best show of surrender she could muster. "As you wish." Jenn bitterly spoke the words crossing her arms over her chest and glaring at Kemuri. "Kemuri I want you to know that you disgust me, you're everything that I despise about people. You're every bit what I used to think about all people of Earth once long ago to know that someone as truly vile as yourself exists sickens me more than you could possibly comprehend. And it it my unfortunate duty to call you my summoner and that you have two wishes remaining." Jenn said putting every ounce of hatred and disgust she held for Kemuri and the people like him into her tone so the Hyena would know exactly how she felt. It pained her to have to inform him that he had wishes remaining, if the bastard DIDN'T know she could actually grant wishes then this would destroy what little safety remained.
Jenn would turn her head to look to the others finding herself a tad confused by how readily Azazel surrendered she could only hope it was for a reason. "Azazel is right this battle had become far more mismatched in his favor than I believe is possible to properly overcome, I'm out of this fight so long as he possesses my ring. I am very sorry..." Jenn said feeling genuinely sorry that because she had been too hasty with her departure that she had not told Kami to keep the ring somewhere safe if she HAD then this wouldn't have happened. But there was perhaps a chance, she'd chosen her words carefully and with luck if the opportunity arose perhaps one of them would use the information that she had left about Kemuri needing her ring to keep her out of the battle to there advantage. Ultimately Jenn wasn't even sure she CARED if the ring was destroyed at this point, while the ring itself was important to her because it was from Seikatsu and the fact that without it she was in danger of a rather long painful death it still felt better than allowing Kemuri to use her power.

Carla's body slammed into the castle wall hard. She felt her head crash into the stone hard suddenly a large bump began to form on the back of her head as she slumped down onto the ground. The bump ruptured and blood began to seep down onto the castle floor. "I'm such a fool..." she thought weakly, "I needed to run away but it would do Kami no good."
From a distance she noticed Kemuri had a glistening ring on one of his fingers and had now fused back into one being. Azazel looked exhausted to her and Jenn at this point had seemed to stop moving. Carla had no idea what was going on, but it was clear Kemuri's power was far too great for them. All she could do was hold her head to stop her blood from pooling out and watch. The only one still capable of fighting was Bear and he had yet to take action with his own technique because he was still clearly charging his power up for it.
"Come on Bear! None of us care what you have up your sleeve, but please strike this guy at least one! Damage him a bit and put a stop to this crazy hyena!" she shouted at him.
"Encouraging people isn't going to help," Pandora mentally told her, "We're in a pickle and you know it. So don't move anymore or you will die from your head wound."

Silence set in around Bear as he concentrated on his attack, which grew more fierce by the second. The fights were beginning to die down in front of him, Kemuri having formed back into one being. However, that did not stop the fight completely. Bear grunted against his own strain, charging such an attack was not something he did every day. But hopefully it would be just what they needed.
Continuing to keep his power lowered, Bear kept the attack charging, turning to hide it from the occupied Kemuri. Sure, this man was strong, but he was not as smart as he let on. Taking your eyes off your opponent for just a second was all it took to lose a battle; Kemuri, being outnumbered, had multiple opponents in this room. While his clone technique had shown to be effective against the team, he had already stopped using it, perhaps meaning that he too, was straining himself.
Though unsure what would happen next, Bear took a guarded stance an watched the action play out. Though Carla cried out for him to help, Bear's ears would not hear it. Focus on his attack would be the most important thing to him right now. And that's exactly what he would do.

It finally seemed like some sense was coming into the room. The demoness had wisely decided that fighting Kemuri was not worth it, after all what was it that she could even do against him? She, and everyone else in the room, lacked the power. The blue skinned woman had no choice other than serve Kemuri do to the fact that the Hyena-man had the ring. The other two were of such insignificant power-level it was as if they weren’t there at all.
The blue woman began a rant, but the hyena wasn’t paying it any attention. Finally, finally he was master of Earth. He let it sink in for a moment. The young woman turned and shouted something at the crazy hobo that had a ball of ki charging in his hands. Kemuri nearly broke out laughing. Just what was it the hobo thought he could do to the king of the Earth? The blast was still not enough to do anything to the new king.
With the air of confidence that only besting your opponents could bring Kemuri turned back towards the throne and walked over to it, sitting down on it and smiling at everyone in the room.
“Genie, my second wish is for you to become my servant, fight for me, wait on me, do whatever it is that I ask you to, from now on I am your master, not just in wishes but in commands.” He said it with such a smirk that he knew it would be irritating to the woman. He turned to the rest of them.
“You may leave. Spread the word of my greatest far and wide. And even, as a gesture of good faith, for I am not a merciless king, I will give you your greatest wish.” With that he pushed his fingers to his lips and whistled loudly. A rumbling began to fill the castle. Then suddenly, two mammoth abominations staggered through the door, each holding onto the arm of a very old, very beaten-up looking man. It would take a moment for those gathered to recognize him.
“You may have your Kami back! Be forewarned, the collar around his neck cannot be removed. Any means of attempt, magic, ki, physical force, will cause the collar to kill Kami.” He waved them away, completely done with them. He had his Earth, and he had a genie.
The hyena smirked. All was his.

• Azazel would stay bowed before Kemuri until her was finished talking
• Once Kami was brought in, she would take him from the two mammoth size abominations
• Grabbing onto Kami, she would walk towards the door
• Turning back “Carla and Man it would be wise for you to follow me, but that is your choice”
• Annoyed that she couldn’t stop Kemuri, she would leave with Kami in her hands.
• Making her way back to the Lookout to Inform Popo on what has happened. She would return to fight Kemuri.
(I don’t have time to do an actual post, sorry everyone, Midterms are coming up)

Jenn was to put things lightly, furious. The true extent of her fury was not shown on the outside as she had no intention of allowing Kemuri to get the satisfaction of seeing just how much he had managed to anger her rather she simply kept an almost neutral expression save for a piercing glare aimed directly at the Hyena-Man. Inside however Jenn was screaming in fury over the entire situation, at first she had been just a bit worried about how things would go down part of her had hoped that there would be some means of one of the others getting the ring from Kemuri but the likelihood of that happening was just far too small, Azazel was the best bet on that front being the most overtly powerful of them but even still Kemuri held a strong lead in power enough so that it was likely that victory could be attained even with the three of them going up against him at once.
Kemuri’s second wish effectively sealed the deal, it had come as an utter surprise to Jenn that Kemuri wished for that, and she realized to her own annoyance that she had not actually laid down the rules of how her wishes worked on Kemuri, mostly because she didn’t want to give him any more advantage than he already had but she had long forgotten that doing that had been how she managed to trick a number of pervious summoners into not making this very wish, most assumed that it would fall into the ‘no changing of the personality’ part of things but unfortunately for Jenn she had no such luck, it had no actual effect on her personality instead simply enforcing upon her the necessity to preform actions that Kemuri ordered. Of course being who she was Jenn knew exactly what she needed to do to make the wish still function but perhaps not quite how Kemuri would enjoy.
Kemuri, perhaps due to lack of knowledge on how Jenn liked to do things had left a few holes in his wish. Namely that while Jenn would be compelled to do as he ordered she could ensure that she was not actually forced to succeed at what he ordered her to do, and similarly she could act upon accomplishing whatever he sought to order her to do by any means even if it wasn’t the most efficient way she could perform it. Still though it was incredibly frustrating to be under the effect of such a wish because she KNEW that if he had demanded she enforce it upon anyone else that her magic would not allow it, but he was her summoner already he had some manner of control this was just an advancement of that very control. “As you wish. You have one wish remaining.” Jenn said through gritted teeth snapping her fingers as a soft gold light enveloped her fading moments later to leave Jenn visibly unchanged but not even further under Kemuri’s command.
Jenn was barely paying attention to the antics of Carla and Bear, only vaguely taking in the information that Carla was trying to get Bear to launch his attack while Bear appeared to be ignoring her and ignoring the general ceasefire that was going on and instead simply continuing to power up his attack, Jenn could certainly respect the determination the man had and held some amount of hope that SOMEHOW even with Bear being as far below Kemuri as he was that perhaps he would find a way to take him down. The odds were certainly not in his favor but Jenn was willing to at least invest some small amount of hope in him.
Jenn found herself at least somewhat comforted in the fact that Kemuri was actually willing to allow Kaladar to go free, even if still bound with the collar that Kemuri had placed on him the fact that Earth would retain its guardian was a good thing, perhaps almost worth having Kemuri as her current summoner, it was painful to see Kaladar in such a state, she barely knew the man but had felt immediately at peace speaking with him even when discussing her ‘final days’. With any luck perhaps Kemuri would foolishly make his last wish soon, the overall impact that he could have made with his wishes had at least for the time being been greatly minimized as his second wish would have made for a far more effective first wish however Jenn was fairly certain Kemuri would take all the time in the world to come up with the ‘perfect’ last wish and in the meantime Jenn would likewise begin planning for what he might wish for and ways in which to utterly ruin it.
Jenn watched as Azazel reclaimed Kaladar from the hulking men who had brought him to them, she wanted very much to go help and even more so to go with her. Even if Kemuri claimed the collar was incapable of being removed by means of magic she doubted he truly understood what she was capable of even without granting a wish and it was in that moment that Jenn realized how much of an idiot she had been, it had been so long since she had done so due to the infrequency of it being a necessity and perhaps more than a little of inability to trust anyone that wasn’t the Earths Guardian but she could have solved much of this by having one of the others make a wish a simple ‘I wish Kaladar was back on the lookout’ would have fixed everything. Now that option was right out of the door as her ability to do such a thing could be vetoed by her actual summoner, the realization was almost enough for Jenn to let her mask of neutrality crack but it remained in place, later when she could be away from Kemuri she’d let loose her fury but not now.
