Below is a general description of the four major planets/starting areas on Awakening.
Earth – The planet is very similar to how it is viewed in the series. Close to the Earth we know in terms of composition the main differences are the geographical layout and the varying races that are seen throughout the Dragon Ball series.
New Vegeta(Moon) – After the Saiyan race was brought back through the miracle of science they had needed a home. Generously wanting to help the newly resurrected race, one seemingly much less violent then their ancestors, the Moon was donated by the Government and people of Earth. Of course as it was the sphere was not hospitable for Saiyan life so through the complicated process of terraforming it surface was altered. The Moon is now very similar in appearance to Earth, water and foliage spread across most of its surface. Like the planet it circles New Vegeta has an atmosphere and its own weather patterns, although they are much more moderate than those on Earth. There are some parts of the Moon that are not covered in grass or water, the exposed moon’s surface acting almost like a dessert on Earth.
The capitol of New Vegeta is the city of New Vegeta which is the only metropolis on the Moon. With architecture that leans more towards the Saiyan buildings of old it is otherwise comparable to many cities on Earth. With a dojo, shops, factories, warehouses, barracks and more it has many of the same features that you would be able to find in Central City. The only real difference when compared to a human city is the large palace complex at the northern end. The large compound houses multiple buildings the most prominent of which being the royal palace itself. Beyond the capitol city there are some farms and small villages spread around the orb in order to supply the spheres people with food.
Namek – Like Earth, Namek on Awakening is like the Namekian home world that is depicted in the series. With rolling fields of blue grass and emerald oceans the alien home world is quite calm. Guru’s Village and the newer Piccolo City are the main places of culture and centers of the population, but there are many villages scattered around the sphere.
Omega Collective
Alpha Prime – Built in a hallowed out asteroid Alpha Prime is the home of Prometheus Zex, the enormously wealthy alien that claims Lordship over the giant space station. Although lacking terraforming like New Vegeta the station has its own atmosphere through the miracles of science even if the sky is dark, no sun or moon to light the station. Instead countless lights and signs provide the lighting needed for the station to operate, multiple generators within the asteroid powering to power them. Beyond the streets and buildings that line its surface the station is full of crisscrossing channels and caverns that house even more of its buildings and residents. Not the cheapest place to live, many will find that mostly merchants and mercenaries actually call the place home, needing a lucrative business to maintain the living cost of the station. Near the northern end of the station lies the “noble” district where many of the richest beings on the station reside, including the estate of Prometheus Zex. The area is somewhat exclusive as the alien Lord’s guards and hired mercenaries constantly patrol it to keep out those that are unwanted. The station houses its own fighting arena and attached to Alpha Prime is a smaller asteroid that has been chopped in half to house Coliseum Immortal for the galactic tournament.
Beta Minor – Smaller but very similar the asteroid that floats close to Alpha Prime the station was built by Arctic, the Icejin King. The economy leeches off of that of Alpha Prime, but has yet to reach the same level. Here Arctic rules and his word is law.
Gamma Slums – The last part of the Omega Collective is the Gamma Slums. Built by an unknown benefactor that many believe to be Prometheus Zex it was given the same technology to have its own atmosphere, but most of it lies in ruin with trash lining it streets. If you call the smallest asteroid of the collective home then fortune has indeed turned its back on you.
