"Sorry, that's all I got."
The namekian snorted derisively. He saw nothing in the creature before him; he was not even truly saiyan. Cudikyl, like most of his kind, were in tune with the flow of ki. They could tell much from someone’s signature. This being was a composition of human and saiyan DNA, not to mention some alien he was unfamiliar with. Of course his father would have known the same, thus the Guardian was left stumped. He was convinced the Grand Elder was mistaken.
“Fool, you think the Grand Elder of Namek needs your help retrieving the artifact he himself created? This is a trial, one he believes you can pass.”
Pausing for a moment he would allow this to sink in, after all Pitka could simply recall the dragon ball to his hand with a snap of his fingers so he should choose. The boy did not know this but Cudikyl was sure that Zeke had not simply accepted the task for what it was; there was always more to what the Grand Elder does. With another snort his eyes dug into the somewhat saiyan; his fiery gaze threatening to eviscerate him.
“But one I know you will FAIL!”
The last word was backed by a kiai, a massive invisible surge of ki summoned by the might of his roar. It would burst from his body in all directions; so powerful that even high in the air it would crater the planet far beneath them! With his full power at his command, the attack, while not deadly by any means, was more than enough to send Zeke for a spin. He would not play easy with this creature.
Cudikyl was determined to prove his father wrong.

It only caused more confusion. A Trial? But for what exactly? Zeke didn't know, but apparently it was enough to piss this one guy off enough that he was here now, trying to intimidate, and possibly even pummel Zeke. If not worse... The burst of energy came at the time of his last word. Fail. Zeke's eyes widened as he threw up his arms and tried to stand against it, but was thrown away with ease and crashed down into a plateau below. The whole thing was obliterated on impact, even after Zeke had turned and tried to push himself away with i mix of a quick Ki wave and some Telekinesis. It did soften the impact, but not by very much.
He rose out of the rubble, already covered by scratches and his clothing was tattered. One attack and already Zeke was getting his ass kicked. However, the Namekian used a word Zeke was not very fond of. Fail. Zeke's eye twitched as he ripped Muramasa from it's sheathe, releasing the Crescent Slash at his foe upon its release. Zeke would then charge his opponent at full speed with a flurry of strikes. "I don't know what the trial is for, nor do I care! I'll complete it to prove you wrong! Now get out of my goddamn way!" he roared. He was getting that Orb, and he was bringing it back to the Grand Elder!
He was a Saiyan and he was being issued a challenge. However, Zeke did not realize that this was how his opponent would likely get the best of him. Zeke's mind was not on the other matters at hand anymore, he was only focused on the fact that some guy is pissing him off and stopping him from completing a goal that he had set for himself. Zeke wanted to prove the man wrong and show the Grand Elder that he could do the things he set his mind to. However, was it really the Orb's recovery that Elder Pitka was looking for? Unfortunately that was not scenario that Zeke had allowed to cross his mind as of yet.

The somewhat saiyan did not take too kindly to Cudikyl’s doubt or the gust of ki which had shot forth from his body. He reacted as the Guardian had intended, fury taking possession of him as he flew back at the namekian, a very long sword in tow.
“A sword? How archaic.”
The emerald engine of destruction grumbled to himself, as the sword came at him he lifted a singled finger. Utilizing his full power, he moved the sharp nail to match each strike of the sword. A metallic clang rang out with each parry, as the solitary extended finger moved at such a speed that it would appear as but a blur to the furious swordsman.
“Is this all you can muster? Surely you can move faster than this.”
He said mockingly. On the last slash he would deflect the blade with nail on his right index finger, smacking it away, and following up with a lightning fast punch straight to the boy’s sternum. Years of training gave him the ability to adequately control the power of every blast and blow. If it connected, as it most likely would due to his immense power though stranger things had occurred, it would as hard a hit could land without breaking any bones or causing any other lasting damage; though his heart may skip a beat.
The darkly clad newcomer would fly away, the momentum of the massive blow sending it hurtling from the impact of the punch. Cudikyl would remain once more in the same position, floating high above his planet. His hands no longer across his chest, but hanging at his sides, hands clenched and muscles strained.

It wouldn't take much for the large Namekian to show Zeke up with simply one finger. As hard as Zeke tried, it was like the one finger was indestructible. To the Namekian, Zeke was moving at 1/4 the speed of him. Somewhat. Zeke didn't realize that the man's size did limit his speed, but it surely wasn't going to be enough to give Zeke any edge. The Namekian was not impressed, deflecting Zeke's blade and delivering a powerful blow to his chest and sent him flying into the ground below. Zeke felt the crash from the impact almost as hard as the punch itself.
Within a few moments, Zeke tore out of the rubble, coughing from the punch and the dust. Damnit, I can't fight this guy. Chances were that punch wasn't even his full blown attack, or I would be dead. he thought to himself. He stood up, looking at the man. Then it hit Zeke. He had a plan! He smiled and blasted into the air, then came straight at the beast at full force. Closing in, Zeke would appear as if he was going to strike the man head on. Then... he would vanish into thin air, only to appear directly behind him. Zeke was about to strike, but the Namekian was alot faster and seemed to be quite alert.
Zeke was aiming to land a slash at the man from behind, but this did not look as if it was going to work out the way Zeke had planned. Was the Namekian really too powerful for him to take down?

The newcomer was enraged with the callous namekian. Cudikyl was convinced that the Grand Elder was mistaken. How could his father grant such a gift to some drifter with a merky ki? The saiyan would become a victim of the Guadian's belief that no one was worthy of the ritual. Even his own brother was a dissapointing; allowing someone to steal a dragon ball and take it off New Namek? Irresponsible. He also believed that the shady swordsman leaned to much on his blades and was intent on testing him without them. Zeke disappeared in a flash in a fashion the seasoned warrior was familiar with. When the boy appeared behind him, he allowed him to strike, slashing at his left side as if to sever him in two. At least he meant business; so did he.
Lifting his arm over the blade's path, he brought his right arm across his body and stopped the blade with the palm. Purple blood trickled from the knuckles as he grasped the lengthy sword so it could not be pulled through. With all brought his left shoulder down hard against the flat of the blade; his might easily snapping the weapon in half. The namekian would then copy the challenger, using zanzoken to leave an afterimage in his place. He would appear fifty feet off, a bit higher in the air. A little blood still trickled from the right hand. With a slight grin he would add to the event.
"I need a moment to heal. Take him."
But he was not speaking to the saiyan. Cudikyl then split in two beings; each sharing a half million power, the newcomer's hand undamaged. As a Guardian of New Namek Cudikyl had spent his life training to protect the planet; including many year with all the masters of the namekian home world. The doubly would immediately leap forward, intent on engaging the darkly clad warrior in hand to hand combat. He decided, despite his better judgement, that he should at least give any one selected by the Grand Elder a fair chance. It was his duty. The original Cudikyl remained above, observing the ensuing battle with as hand quickly healed.

Zeke's sword made contact with the man's hand, and Zeke seen the blood. Even at one-million power level, he bleeds. He was not immortal, but he was still much more powerful tan Zeke. With ease he was able to shatter Zeke's sword witch threw Zeke off. He shouldn't of been surprised at the ease of it breaking, but he was, shouting "Damn you!" and trowing a punch. The Namekian vanished though, appearing further off. The Namekian was planning something. Zeke could also see the orange orb he was after not too far away either, and knew he had to beat this guy and get it back to Pitka.
The man spoke so someone, and Zeke was confused at first until a second copy of the man spontaneously appeared and swooped in for the fight! Zeke felt their power cut in two, quickly gathering how the man was somehow able to clone himself and grant the copy his power. It was low, sending a copy to do the fighting, but Zeke quickly sheathed what was left of the Muramasa. Zeke wouldn't be able to fight this being, even at full power, and he was right. It wasn't long and he would be on the receiving end of a blow so powerful that he was sent sailing downward into the ground.
There was a cloud of dust below, but it all dispersed as Zeke Telekinetically moved all of it out of his way as he slowly picked himself up. However, he had a smile on his face! Was it the challenge? No. Zeke did like a fight, but there was no time for that now. It was something else. Zeke straightened up and then held out his hand... a large orb setting in it. Zeke knew he would never get past the man in combat. But as long as he played off his Saiyan trait of loving to fight, the Namekian wouldn't of guessed he would angle himself to be thrown towards the orb with a strong blow.
Zeke was not stupid though. He knew all too well that the Namekian was strong enough to easily take the orb from him. Zeke simply shook his head and casually threw it out into the grass towards where the Namekian was floating. "This is a waste of time." Zeke said. "There is an entire planet that is about to be liquefied and here you are getting in my way!? The Grand Elder simply wished for me to acquire him this orb. I decided to do so as thanks for his help." Zeke powered down.
He looked up at the man and crossed his arms. "Considering your power, you must be his protector or something. As such, you can bring him that orb in my place since you clearly don't want me anywhere near it." Zeke said. He turned his back on the powerhouse. "Now if you'll excuse me, I'll be on my way back to tell him of my failure, and be off this planet." he informed the man. If he didn't like it, then he was free to kill him then and there, but Zeke doubted the man planned on murdering him. He felt bad, and quite angry that he could not bring back the Orb, but it was time he did not have right now. Zeke would apologize to the Elder and thank him, only explaining about the 'roadblock' if he asks. Then he needed to find his way back to Vegeta.
Too many lives were at stake for angry green men and shiny orange orbs.

The new half of Cudikyl struck Zeke hard; he was still more then twice as powerful. The man was intent on proving his father wrong. In breaking the creature’s sword, he hoped to break his spirit. But then the namekian was surprised; in the taking the blow, Zeke had aimed himself towards where the dragon ball lay in the field. He stood, with it already in his hand. For a moment he was impressed, though he quickly shrugged it off as lucky.
But then he tossed the magical artifact to the ground like trash, and dared to speak.
"This is a waste of time. There is an entire planet that is about to be liquefied and here you are getting in my way!? The Grand Elder simply wished for me to acquire him this orb. I decided to do so as thanks for his help."
With that the blasphemer lowered himself to his base power before crossing his arms. It was Cudikyl’s immediate instinct to lunge forth, combining with his spilt form, and smash the disrespectful brat so as to bring within an inch of death. But he knew his father would disapprove.
"Considering your power, you must be his protector or something. As such, you can bring him that orb in my place since you clearly don't want me anywhere near it."
He was right of course. But he judgmental namekian snorted derisively nonetheless. In his mind he was right; as he had expected to be all along.
“I told father you were not worthy.”
Cudikyl would state as if a matter of fact. Combining his two halves, he appeared next to the dragon ball almost instantly. As Zeke would fly off back to Grand Elder, he would gather the mystical sphere into his hand. He had proven that he had in fact been correct, or so he thought.
Looking to his hand again he would find the one star dragon ball gone. We’ll see what the Grand Elder Pitka thinks when Zeke returns to him.

He knew all too well that the man could have beaten him into submission if he so wished, but Zeke knew quite well that neither his well-being or his life were in danger. The Namekian people were a peaceful race and to decimate a weaker person simply because you felt insulted was quite frowned upon. Killing a person for similar reasons was even less tolerable. Nahlin had explained some of his peoples ways to Zeke, but strangely enough it was Slate, the Acrosian (Ice-Jin) living in New Vegeta that had told him the most about Namekians. Zeke had assumed it all to be made up nonsense by the man, assuming he was simply attempting to seem like he knew what he was talking about, but Nahlin had confirmed all of it. It was strange that the Ice-Jin would know so much. It was like he had lived here on Namek...
Without the orb giving him a reason, the large Namekian could only watch as Zeke threw his coat off and recovered the pieces of his sword one by one. He then shoved them all in his coats pockets as it lay on the ground and balled it up under his arm as he blasted off back in the direction he had come. It was scorching hot out nd the coat was far too hot even without its sleeves. He would fly for a little while before landing in the front of the Elder's home. He would enter to face the man.
"Grand Elder Pitka, I'm sorry but I had run into an obstacle as I was on my way to retrieve that Object for you." Zeke told the man after he would face him. Zeke would stand with the coat balled up under his arm and the broken sword handle in its sheathe. Zeke hoped Pitka wouldn't draw attention to the embarrassing display of a swordsman. "I could have taken the time to formulate a plan and then acquire it... but as you know I am crunched for time. Before coming here, Master Batto reminded me of this." He would say. Zeke would sit down and sigh. "I hoped to simply grab the Orb and return it quickly as thanks for the information you have gathered for me from that man. There could be other Namekian Assassins that they are using due to the connivance of the power-up, and we can now protect New Vegetas Namekian population and rely that information to Earth and Omega as well to hopefully protect Namekians everywhere. And this Warlock you speak of... I feel we must find out any and all info on this person is as well." he stated.
Zeke would need to be off soon. He would return to the Earth's Moon to relay this information to Tsuyo and use the Healing skill he had learned to hopefully aid him with his poison. New Vegeta could not risk loosing their Monarch now. That could damage the mindset of the people and Akassa and Ninjin, who would likely spearhead the assault. Hopefully it would just be an assault. If only Zeke could change the King's mind then they could strategically eliminate the Church without the needless deaths of innocents.
Zeke was in deep thought now, wondering just how to convince the man. The Healing would not likely be enough...

When Ezekial returned he would find the Grand Elder Pitka standing at his front door as if expecting the boy to arrive at that moment. It was not hard to read ki signatures, at least for someone as seasoned and in tune with the planet, so he was fully aware of the events as they occurred. In fact he knew they would progress as they did, as his son’s bullying tactics of aliens were well known.
Cudikyl took his job as Guardian of the Body quite seriously. Sometimes Pitka wished Nahlin took his own position, Guardian of the Soul, as seriously. Then again, he was glad his younger son still had the joy of life about him, as Pitka did himself. It was something lost on Cudikyl, ever since the Grand Elder unlocked his inner energies.
As NeCross would touch down in front of him, jacket filled with blade fragments tucked up under his arm pit, his voice would portray earnest urgency. The sword’s handle loosely sat in its sheathe.
"Grand Elder Pitka, I'm sorry but I had run into an obstacle as I was on my way to retrieve that Object for you. I could have taken the time to formulate a plan and then acquire it... but as you know I am crunched for time. Before coming here, Master Batto reminded me of this."
Exhaling, the somewhat saiyan sat down on the gentle hill atop which the Elder’s modest house sat before continuing.
I feel we must find out any and all info on this person is as well."
As he finished his mind appeared immersed in thought, relaying a troubled look upon his face. Without a word Pitka would sit beside him, looking out onto the gentle rolling hills of New Namek that sprawled out in all directions.
“I am aware of your situation young Zeke, Batto and I spoke telepathically as you made your way from him to me. I understand what you are trying to do, save your king from this dreadful poison, saving innocents from the saiyan peoples’ merciless revenge. I thank you for your kind words and wishes to protect my people where my reach is limited. If only I could protect them far and wide, but alas even my power has its limits.”
Waving a hand across the horizon, nothing seemed to happen. However, the shattered sword within his jacket would be gone, now whole once more within the sheath. Instead he would feel a slight bulge in the balled up coat, apparently a sphere near the size of a softball. The Grand Elder would hold out an open palm, awaiting the artifact.
“As for failing to retrieve the object for me… I would not be so hasty in your admittance of failure. You have succeeded in much, including proving where your priorities lie. So I would like to make a deal with you. If you should agree, you will be given what you need to make a difference. However such a reward carries the weight of responsibility, bound by the same magic which will aid you.
Do you promise to battle injustice wherever you go, protecting the innocent and fighting tyranny wherever it exists, and to always follow the path of light? Do not accept too hastily, for if you fail to uphold your side of the bargain my aid will be gone like that.”
The Grand Elder snaps his fingers to make his point. He would then hold out his other hand to the boy, as if to shake his hand. Such a simple thing, though even the most simple things can be far more than they appear.

He sat there, thinking about his next move when Elder Pitka explained that he knew well of the situation. Zeke was no stranger to Telepathy himself, and he would remember that the two were capable of it. Zeke had a little project on the back burner regarding a longer range form of Telepathy that Zeke may use to speak with the two wise men. They were not likely to use a scouter or a cell phone. Zeke nodded to the mans words about his limits of power... everyone had them. No matter how strong you get, there's always a limit.
The Elder would wave his hand, and the coat he kept balled up weighed a little less. His Sheathe weighed a little more. Zeke pulled the blade free part way and there it shaun, chrome blade still carrying the slight pitch of being drawn free. What ever metal it was composed of was incredibly durable, and always seemed to ring with a faint, high pitched sound. What was it? Zeke did not know, but he was happy to have it back in one piece. He could of done it himself, but the Elder's kind gesture would have been lost. "Thanks, Pitka." he said. He turned and looked at the man. "Err... Grand Elder. Sorry." he corrected. He knew in many societies that it was a major form of disrespect to ignore ones title.
He then held out his hand. He knew? Zeke didn't realize that the man aimed to place the Orb in his coat... cause the place he would have teleported it from... was his coat! Zeke had informed the Elder that he had "Run into an obstacle", but he never once said anything about failing. Cudikyl was going to be pissed. Nahlin however, was going to nearly die laughing when he heard about this...
*flashing back*
It wasn't long and he would be on the receiving end of a blow so powerful that he was sent sailing downward into the ground. He had done it, he had precisely had the Namekian knock him directly INTO the Orb! Now for the next part... that was where Zeke converted a simple stone into a duplicate of the orb and covered the other with dirt. Upon clearing the dist, Zeke presented the duplicate and the situation dragged on as normal before Zeke threw his coat down and picked up the pieces of his sword. When picking up his coat however... he picked up much more than that, his back to the Namekian and his feet quick to hide evidence of the orb being buried as he shuffled back into his stance.
*returning*
Zeke had been secretly unsure of weather this would fool the Namekian, but it seemed he may have pulled one over the Grand Elder as well. Zeke knew his counterfeit from the original, so there would of been no mix up. If anything, the surprise would hopefully give the old Namekian a laugh, as it wasn't likely that he fell for a trick very often. However, he would not know of this until Cudikyl returned with the fake. It would take little effort for the Elder to recognize the fake, unless Zeke did an incredibly good job. Oh god, what if they got them mixed up!? Zeke pushed the thought aside, full faith in the elder's wit.
Zeke pulled the mysterious orb from his coat, looking into it. It was almost fully clear in its orange color, Zeke able to see his hands through it. It seemed to swirl with its own energy... a single red gem-like star floated in the center. No matter how you turned the thing it always had one point at the top. Zeke almost wanted one himself just to keep as a decoration, but considering they tend to be followed with seasoned Namekian Warriors coming after you, Zeke did not see it happening in the near future. But he could make his own as decoration possibly.
Zeke would smile, placing it in the Elders palm. "Something about this orb fascinates me. Beautiful, its no wonder you cherish them." he said. Then the Elder spoke of "giving what he needed" to make a difference. He spoke of staying true to fighting injustice and standing up against tyranny. Elder Pitka had some form of magical aid Zeke could use? Zeke was unsure what he meant, but he nodded once, slowly. "Yes." he said with full assurance. "I want to protect the good and the innocent, and I will. I stand up against injustice and evil, and I plan to continue..." Zeke looked down. Light. He smiled, as he now knew what his path was actually called now. "and the path of light..." Zeke looked up, a look of determination on his face. Zeke was not only making a promise to Pitka, but openly to himself as well.
"I will follow the path of light until it leads me to the next dimension." he smiled again. "And beyond!" he chuckled. He had little belief in anything specifically beyond life, he never really thought about it. But if there was more, he would keep going. He would never give the darkness the satisfaction of taking him ever again. He would rather cease to exist.Zeke took the mans hand to shake it, planning to wrap it up and head back to the moon.
So it appeared.

The darkly clad partial saiyan removed the dragon ball from within his jacket, pausing a moment to stare into it. It was not surprising to the Grand Elder; he knew full well the hypnotic effect that the spheres held. However it as not the glossy glass like ball’s appearance, with the solitary red star floating just beneath its surface, but the mysterious magical energies which permeated it on a metaphysical level which drove people to stare into it. The more you knew, the greater the effect truly was, even its creator was still but a student of the magic.
"Something about this orb fascinates me. Beautiful, it’s no wonder you cherish them."
Ezekial added as he handed the one star dragon ball to the kind old namekian, who in turn responded with a smile. Holding the softball sized sphere in his hand he was glad he had shrunk them upon reviving the set once taking the mantle of Grand Elder. If the solitary ball fascinated him, Pitka would be amused to see how he would react if he ever laid his eyes upon the Eternal Dragon.
"Yes. I want to protect the good and the innocent, and I will. I stand up against injustice and evil, and I plan to continue... And the path of light... I will follow the path of light until it leads me to the next dimension. And beyond!"
With that empathic, and honest, declaration NeCross grasped the Grand Elder’s outstretched hand. Finding the response suitable, he would meet eyes with the boy as they shared a firm handshake. Then an unmistakable feeling would wash over the saiyan, as if being revitalized. But it was more than that; it was the warm glow of a setting sun. It was the fulfillment of one’s true power; their true capabilities revealed.
“Always remember those words my son. Now you best be on your way Zeke, time is not in your favor. Good luck in your mission.”
Retrieving his hand Pitka would then look forward once more as the two sat on the hill before his modest abode. When Zeke would too turn he would find his space pod resting on the grass before them, in perfect condition. After they had said their final goodbyes, and the ship took off into space, Cudikyl would appear towering behind him, arms folded in disapproval.
“The charlatan was not worthy of your gift, father.”
Lifting to his feet to the sound of laughter, Pitka would clasp his son upon the shoulder.
“Don’t be such a grump ass Cudikyl, you are not often fooled. And a darkness is coming my boy; I feel it in these old bones of mine. If the light is not given the power it needs to battle it, all hope will be lost. Now, if you are still too uptight to play with the younglings then allow me to take another crack at beating your old record.”
Turning away he folded his hands behind his back as he casually strolled over to where the children were still playing. Meanwhile Cudikyl stood there, in silent awe. Never had he seen such worry in his Pitka’s eyes. He worried if he would have the power to protect New Namek and its people.
Perhaps his father had been right…

Zeke took the mans hand, expecting to shake and say goodbye. Instead he ended up with a surge of energy that shot through him and reinvigorated him completely. Zeke was surprised at it for a moment, but Zeke simply figured it was some form of advanced Healing that he used. "Well... I feel alot better now for some reason. Thanks for that, Elder." He said. The Elder wished him well on his mission. Zeke thanked him, turning to see his pod. Beside it was Nahlin, leaning on it and panting heavily. "Do you know... how far away... this thing was!?" he asked. "That's it, I'm gonna learn how to teleport stuff. Carrying stuff is more Cudikyl's thing." He said.
Nahlin gave Zeke his best too, watching along with Pitka as Zeke blasted off into space. The man had learned and gained alot. It was shortly after that Nahlin burst out laughing. He turned to Pitka. "He had NO IDEA what you just did! Did you see the look on his face?" he walked away still laughing, passing his elder brother in the hall. It was shortly after while Cudikyl was reflecting and staring off into the sky when he would hear Nahlin yell to him. "Hey! You know he threw you a fake Dragonball, right!? Now we're both screwups!"
Yep. Chances were that would set him off.
-----------------------------------
Looking down on the planet below, Zeke had to admire the Emerald Planet for a quick moment before he blasted off for the Earth's moon. He felt good. He felt great! He could do this. Whoever was part of the Saiyan war party was going to have to answer to him if they tried to endanger innocents in this coming battle. The Saiyan race had to show the Church and the Universe they weren't ruthless murderers. They had to show some type of composure or otherwise people would simply start saying the Church is right...
The Saiyans were not a plague on the Universe. But if Zeke didn't act soon, they would become one.
[[Fin, PL please. Heavy Weights in effect wherever applicable, aside from when they were dropped.]]
