Music playing for this part of the thread:
(perfect song) ***
Nasu Hattori stood in the remains of the bar where he had met his brother. Sure he had seen him for the first time in the streets of New Vegeta. He had fought beside him that day on the streets, but it wasn’t until they drank together in this bar that Nasu felt he truly got to know and understand Ninjin a little bit more.
He saw Ninjin’s first love Endou, hell he had even set the two of them up together for the night. He had bonded with the man, he had believed the two of them were friends. That belief had damned him, that belief was what had brought him back here.
Through all of his anger, all of his rage, Nasu felt empty inside. Once again he had lost all the family he had ever known but this time it had been their choice, they had chosen to abandon him. That choice brought Nasu back to the bar, looking for some sort of reminder of the friendship and bond he knew he had lost today.
However like his family the bar was destroyed. It was left in ruins from the attack on New Vegeta, he shouldn’t have been surprised more than half the city suffered at least minor damage and the bar was close to the palace where the thickest fighting had been.
As he walked around Nasu saw the damage that eventually brought the bar down, a support beam had cracked and shattered. It was a thick beam made of solid wood, it looked like it could stand up to anything, but it appeared the support was no match for true power. The only thing that was left standing was the bar counter top itself, and a couple of chairs that had somehow avoided the worst of the damage. Walking over he pulled a chair up and sat down at the bar top.
He couldn’t tell how long he just sat there at the bar just staring at nothing, but it was long enough for almost every memory he had with his brother to flash through his mind. He relived each one of them, memories he had turned to during darker times, now each tinged with betrayal each with a new sting, like a million papercuts. Each one stinging fresh. As he stood there it started to rain. It wasn’t a heavy downpour yet but it showed all the signs that a serious storm was coming but he couldn’t bring himself to move.
“How cliche.” was all he could find it in him to say but still he sat at the bar refusing to move. He had taken care of all his other business on New Vegeta, the Queen’s words hung over him now. He had to leave the planet for good on pain of death if he ever returned. Was he really ready to leave? To leave the only place that had ever been his home and never look back?
He wanted this bar to be his last site of New Vegeta his last memory. He tried so hard to bring back the positive feelings, the warmth he had when he had a brother, a friend who cared but it was all gone. Tainted by Ninjin Hattori’s betrayal. He knew it was useless but still he sat there.

Ninjin’s thoughts swam in his head like a feeding frenzy of sharks. That meeting did not go as planned. Why couldn’t they just have left it as a military meeting? Did his mother really need to air their dirty laundry in public? Zeke and Celeh had no business being there for all of that display at the end, and it was embarrassing to the prince and to the crown.
Despite the anger that the prince felt, the largest shark that was swimming in his mind was guilt. That particular shark seemed to be targeting him and him alone and chomping at any opportunity to bite in. He touched down lightly outside of a bar that he had frequented and had last visited with Nasu. It was heavily damaged from the fighting, and it made the prince sad to see. He had very fond memories of the place. They seemed tainted now.
The thoughts racing through the future king’s mind clouded his perception. Had he had his wits about him he would have noticed his brother sitting on the other side of the wall at the bar. Ninjin sat down against the wall, his position a mirror of his younger brother’s, aside from being on the ground instead of a chair.
“I’m sorry Nasu.” The prince said it to no one in particular. No doubt his brother sitting just on the other side heard him. Before any interruption could be made he continued, saying to the air what he should have said to Nasu.
“I was caught off guard.” He said as if it were some sort of excuse, but even as he said it he knew it was lame.
“Logically I wouldn’t… I couldn’t believe for a second that you were working for the Universal Church of One. Nor that you would betray me… Not after everything we had been through… The times you’ve saved me... but… I failed you.” The prince hung his head in shame. When he did so his vision caught an errant bottle, one that had escaped the destruction. He grasped it and bit the top off, glass crunching between his teeth and making his mouth fill with blood. He spit the blood and glass out and drank greedily from the contents.
“My brother… now that I believe.” He said it with a slight chuckle.
“Ever since we met I’ve thought that… Well I mean I thought it a couple of times… Maybe I didn’t fully believe it but there was something so… me about you...” He trailed off.
“Damnit Ninjin, the one chance you had to repay everything Nasu’s done for you, and not only do you not do that… no you up royally and give him ample reason to hate you… and just stand there and watch as he gets exiled when you’re probably the only one in the room who can save him…”
He slammed his fist into the dirt.
“Damnit…”

Song for this round because still really really fits.
***
Nasu honestly had no idea how long he sat there wallowing in self pity. It could have been five minutes it could have been an hour. But he was snapped out of his funk by noise on the other side of the wall. For once though, he didn’t care enough to extend his senses. Who cared who was there as long as they left him alone.
He only hoped the queen hadn’t sent someone to finish him off for staying on the planet, she hadn’t exactly given him a time frame for leaving but it was clear that he was expected to get moving pretty quickly.
Hit thoughts came to a grinding halt a moment later however when the voice he heard drifted over from the other side of the wall.
“I’m sorry Nasu.” said the voice that absolutely could not be his brother. “I was caught off guard.”
“Logicall I wouldn’t… I couldn’t believe for a second that you were working for the Universal Church of One. Nor that you would betray me… Not after everything we had been through… The times you’ve saved me... but… I failed you.” He continued as if the universe itself were conspiring give him everything he had secretly asked for. But that wasn’t how things worked. He knew this from every other life experience he had ever had.
Nasu had to say something, he had to tell Ninjin it was alright, that what he said was all he ever needed to hear. It sounded like Ninjin but was it really? Could it be? He was about to extend his senses. About to say something, anything when his brother cut him off again completely by accident.
“My brother… now that I believe.” And for the second time in a matter of seconds Nasu’s brain came to a screeching halt.
“Ever since we met I’ve thought that… Well I mean I thought it a couple of times… Maybe I didn’t fully believe it but there was something so… me about you...” Nasu wanted to say something he really, really did, hours later he would think back at all the perfect comebacks, the perfect ways to make an entrance. The perfect way to let his brother know he heard and he understood. But at the moment his mind was completely blank. He just sat there at his bar, the bar that had apparently summoned his brother. The bar that the universe decided to smile down upon today. The bar that apparently granted wishes.
“Damnit…”
The ground shook with the force of the saiyan prince’s frustration. And then because everything had been going Nasu’s way up until that point the universe decided enough was enough.
Nasu could have made a smooth entrance, he could have told his brother he heard everything. He could have done so much. But instead the wall separating the two brothers collapsed in front of both of them leaving Nasu staring face to face with his suddenly repentant brother...whom he had just been unintentionally eavesdropping on...in what he could only imagine was a super private moment...when he was supposed to be banished or dead…
“Ummm...hi brother?”

“ummm….hi Brother?” The sound startled the prince and made him turn. He had been able to block out the sound of the wall behind him falling, too enrapt was he in his own thoughts. He was not, however, able to block out the unmistakable sound of Nasu’s voice. How long had he been sitting there? How much of that had he heard? How embarassed should Ninjin feel?
“Nasu…” The words caught in his throat. What could he possibly say to the boy, aside from the things he had just unknowingly said. Nasu was officially banished from New Vegeta, and there was not a damn thing that Ninjin could do about it despite being crown prince.
So why was Nasu here as well? Perhaps it was the same thing that drew Ninjin to this place. The last time they had felt the familial bond they shared was in this bar together on that night those years ago. Sure there had been some of it when Nasu saved him from his own blast, but they hadn’t really had all that much time to catch up.
“How much of that did you hear…?” The prince asked cautiously, embarrassed that he had let his guard down so much that Nasu had been able to sneak up on him, or perhaps had been there the entire time.

“Nasu…” the prince said stunned at Nasu’s sudden appearance. To be honest, Nasu was just as stunned. He had just been at the bar minding his own business wallowing in self pity when Ninjin came. He probably should have revealed himself immediately but hell the prince was sitting there apologizing for everything he had just been upset about. It would have been rude to interrupt.
“How much of that did you hear…?” he asked the young man sitting at the now debri covered bar.
There are only a few times in life where it is absolutely ok to lie about things; if someone ever asks you does something make them look fat, no matter what the answer is no. If someone asks you did they embarrass themselves when they were drunk last night, the answer is always, no you were fine. And if someone asks you, how much of a potentially life changing, horribly embarrassing rant did you hear, the answer is none, I just got here.
“All of it, I heard all of it. I’ve been sitting at the bar for a while now.” Nasu said standing slowly taking a step forward towards the prince. “Did you really mean what you said? I know...look I know it’s a lot to take in, I know the council put you on the spot, and I’m sorry. Obviously I really didn’t think it was going to turn out that way. I didn’t think how much that would put everyone on the spot, but I need to know. Did you mean it?”

His brother had heard everything he had just said. Ninjin still stood with his mouth slightly agape as he stared as his brother. The entire embarrassing rant that he had just gone on. And whilst there was a feeling of horror residing in the prince’s chest, nestled next to it was one of relief, and that one seemed to be overpowering the other as the long seconds ticked by. Ninjin had not said anything for a long moment after his brother’s confession. Nervously he flicked his tongue against the inside of his teeth.
Brother… The word still seemed strange to use for Nasu, but right at the same time. Flashes of drunken memories cascaded the prince’s mind. The word had been used many times before to describe the two of them. Odd that he should only remember that now, though he had been quite drunk at the time. That thought derailed into one of Azuki. His son… boy he sure was great with dealing with members of his own family wasn’t he? Ninjin took a deep breath, still trying to think of what to say. He was not used to floundering for words.
“Of course I meant it Nasu.” Ninjin finally said, and with it came an outpour of emotion. “I’m glad you heard that. I meant every word. Of course I know you didn’t betray us. But I can’t reverse Father’s decision…” The words stung to say, stung to hear, and hung in the air like a pack of hornets after he had said them. Nasu would never again be allowed to step foot on New Vegeta. Until Ninjin was king that was.
“As soon as I am king you will be taken from exile and allowed to return home. The Red Flags are as good as dead however, I cannot stay that wrath. Nasu… Where will you go now?”

He needed to know, it all seemed so sincere but then he’d been tricked before. Ninjin had the ability to sense power levels and Nasu had done nothing to suppress his. Ninjin could have known he was there, he could have planned that speech. But it didn’t feel that way, it felt genuine it felt like a confession of someone who he’d inadvertently put on the spot against his own family. Still he had to know.
“Of course I meant it Nasu. I’m glad you heard that. I meant every word. Of course I know you didn’t betray us. But I can’t reverse Father’s decision…” the prince said finally.
The words left him speechless for a moment. But only a moment. “Thank you, I can’t explain how much that means to me having at least one person know I didn’t betray my own race...As for the exile. It might be time I leave New Vegeta anyways, the longer I stayed…” he paused for a moment not sure how to put what he was thinking into words others could understand.
“I’ve lived my life around the idea I would get revenge on Tsuyo, but over time, I don’t know anymore. I planned so much but then I got to know you, and to a lesser extent Akassa and Leke as well.” he rubbed the side of his face which was still purple and swollen from where Akassa had punched him earlier. “Well maybe not Akassa as well as I would have liked.” he couldn’t help it, even in such a serious conversation he had to joke it was who he was, he feared if he ever stopped he might go insane. “After the council, I was convinced the only family I had left, the only family I ever actually chose and got to know had abandoned me again. I think the exile might actually be a good thing, for now at least. Give me some distance to maybe see what it is I’m going to do a little clearer. Maybe what I need is a little space. ” *OOC: the author laughed way too much at his own pun there, and would like to apologize to anyone shaking there head after reading that*
“I had wanted to help with the war effort, we made a good team in the past, but it looks like it’s not going to happen now.”
He had planned so much, to go to war beside his brother, he had trained so long and hard to finally be able to stand on his own. To help him instead of just be a burden someone that needs to be protected, but now those plans were all in ruins because he couldn’t keep his mouth shut. It might be years again before he got to see Ninjin, hell he was going to war, without someone beside him to protect him he could die. The prince was one of the strongest fighters in the universe but nothing can protect you from a knife in the back. War is chaos and Nasu had always planned to watch his brother’s back to prevent just such a situation but now he wouldn’t be there, couldn’t be there. Ninjin had to understand right?
“As soon as I am king you will be taken from exile and allowed to return home. The Red Flags are as good as dead however, I cannot stay that wrath. Nasu… Where will you go now?”
In his wallowing in self pity he had almost forgotten the Red Flag, the first thing he did after the war council was try and find Tejun. Flying as fast as he could to the Red Flag camp he found it almost deserted. All that was left were the corpses of people he had been friends with. He sensed Tejun and Yakuin miles off in the distance and raced to find them. What he found were two men who were shocked when the saiyan royal guard showed up and wiped out their unsuspecting camp. They had no idea they had just been accused of treason. One thing was for certain though. The Red Flag was dead now.
“When you’re king…when you’re finally king maybe it’ll be time for me to come back. Till then, who knows, I was planning on heading to the Omega Collective, see where it was the grand tournament went down. Plus there aren’t too many places in the universe that would welcome an exile, and a saiyan on top of that. on Omega I can just blend into the crowd for a while. What about you? Has there been any word on the assassin? Any word on when you’re leaving for the war?”

Exile. Ninjin didn’t know if he would be able to deal with it. His life was New Vegeta. His life was his people. The crown prince would not be taking it as well as his younger brother. Though perhaps he was right, perhaps some time away from New Vegeta would be good for his brother. The younger of the saiyans had not made any friends in the council back there, regardless of what the truth was.
He was planning on heading to the Omega Collective. Ninjin held strong emotions about the interesting place. It was where he found himself, where he found the true Ninjin. Before he had gone to the Omega collective he had been a brat, spoiled by his position. Though the true Ninjin was in there it took the tournament and the events afterwards to bring it out in him permanently. Perhaps the same would happen for his brother, and the collective would bring out his true self, whatever that was.
There was something else. If there was any chance that the church had gotten to Lilith and had found out about Azuki… Well he would need protection. Who better than his uncle. Ninjin had no idea how to broach the subject. Only a minute ago he was sure his brother would never forgive him, but now he was going to ask him to watch his son?
“We’ll be following the assassin to wherever he goes and then killing the entire church. You know how it goes. Nasu… I have a favor to ask of you if you’re going to the Omega Collective. Go to a club called the Skyen Lounge. Ask for a woman name Lilith. Tell her that the son rises on New Vegeta. She will then introduce you to my son. Azuki. There are only two other people that know of his existence. If you will Nasu, please protect him. I can’t keep him safe. He would only be a target with me.” He had no idea how his brother would react to the proposal, or to the information that he was an uncle.

Nasu listened to his brother quietly for a moment, letting him finish before organizing his thoughts rationally. “Following the assassin is a good, plan but are you sure you’re ok with kil-wait a minute did you just say you have a son?!”
Ok so maybe not entirely rationally…Nasu’s jaw dropped open and his brain took a moment to reset. It was running an old version of windows so maybe it took a few minutes to reset.
He had never imagined that his brother would father a bastard. In his wildest dreams he couldn’t picture Ninjin repeating the sins of his father. But in the end he was a Hattori…
“After everything you’ve seen me go through, after everything your sister has gone through! How could you Ninjin?” he said. He couldn’t meet his brother’s eyes and both pain and sadness were apparent in his voice. He couldn’t believe it.
“Do you know how much more difficult Azuki’s life is going to be now? After you’ve seen how much suffering your father has caused because of this. After you saw the the way you mother treats your sister!” he was getting heated now. He was almost positive his brother probably didn’t mean to have a kid but that thought was out weighed by years of suffering.
“Hell man you have an entire church that’s been trying to kill you since you were born, and this kid isn’t even going to get the protection of having the royal name to back him up. He’s off on a strange planet, no father, no one looking out for him...no one looking out for him…” that thought brought him up short for a moment. Finally he calmed down enough to remember the second half of Ninjin’s statement.
For the second time he couldn’t meet Ninjin’s eyes. This time his were wet with more than just the rain. Ninjin was trusting him with his son...“I”ll look after Azuki for you, but Ninjin when you come back we need to talk. You can’t let this kid go on living his life not knowing who his father is or why he abandoned him just because you’re afraid. The royal name offers protection. Protection he’s going to need. And you owe him better than that.”

Ninjin stood there and took it as his brother let into him for having fathered a bastard child. The prince should have been wise enough to expect something like this considering all the things he had recently learned about Nasu. But it wasn’t like Ninjin meant for it to happen. He would have much rather fathered Azuki the traditional way, and been there for him. That’s perhaps what pained him most of all, and the hurt shown through his eyes as his brother attacked him. If it were not for the church, he would be with Azuki, being the best father he could be. His mistakes would not be the same as his fathers.
In the end though Nasu agreed to his request. Ninjin nodded and leaned against the wall, red armor glinting in the lights despite the broken debris that cluttered all around them. There was a peace to the air that Ninjin always found odd right after a battle. Everything always moves on, no matter what. His eyes traced Nasu’s face, inspecting his brother in the broken light. He was a Hattori though wasn’t he, the face said it all. Ninjin had been a shit sibling for most of his life, and he was determined to make up for it. There were to be no more secrets between him and his siblings, starting now. When he returned from wherever he was going, he was going to tell Akassa and Leke everything, just as he was now with Nasu.
“Should I find a way to defeat the church there is nothing that can keep me from his side. And about that…Well, he is not entirely unprotected. I’m afraid I haven’t been entirely truthful with you Nasu… You see… You see I’m a king.” Ninjin would look to his brothers face and no doubt find confusion there.
“I am the crown-prince of the saiyan people, but I am the king of the Iblisians. It is a long story of how I obtained the throne, but there are those who serve me watching him, though none are nearly as strong as you have grown to become.” It felt good to get yet another secret off of his chest. He trusted his brother, and it was a good feeling.

Nasu felt bad about his rant to his brother. He had unleashed all his personal demons on him without any warning. Then again his brother hadn’t exactly warned him either when he dropped the child bomb so it seemed fair. Still he was curious how his brother would react, the man was a prince after all and getting yelled at by what amounted to a peasant, even if the peasant was your brother wasn’t something that he was used to.
Instead however Ninjin kept his calm, very much unlike Nasu’s reaction looking him in the eyes he gave an answer. “Should I find a way to defeat the church there is nothing that can keep me from his side.”
Hearing that Nasu let go of the breathe he didn’t even know he was holding at the time. He wasn’t going to abandon the child. He wasn’t going to be his father. He was a better man. Right?
“Thank you. Nasu said in barely more than a whisper. He wasn’t sure whether he said it to Ninjin or just to the universe in general but he couldn’t explain how much more relieved he felt knowing Azuki wasn’t going to grow up without a father.
It never even occurred to him that Ninjin might not be able to beat the church. That he was going to a war from which he might not come back. Still He looked up as Ninjin answered his second rage fueled statement about the boy’s protection.
He seemed hesitant at first but then spoke with more confidence and maybe even relief as he continued.
“And about that…Well, he is not entirely unprotected. I’m afraid I haven’t been entirely truthful with you Nasu…” and with that Nasu’s stomach dropped, something the prince had said to him earlier was a lie it had to be...
“You see… You see I’m a king.” Ninjin said and for the second time in a matter of minutes Nasu’s brain stopped.
“You mean Tsuyo...Tsuyo is dead?” no that didn’t make any sense. He was poisoned sure but Nasu could still sense his energy off in the distance. “That doesn’t make any sense, what are you saying?”
“I am the crown-prince of the saiyan people, but I am the king of the Iblisians. It is a long story of how I obtained the throne, but there are those who serve me watching him, though none are nearly as strong as you have grown to become.”
“You’re...a king? How is it you can rule a people if you live on New Vegeta? Or do they live here too? And…” Nasu cut himself off, he had a million questions he wanted to know. He wanted to hear the story about how his brother became the king of a foreign land, ask about the people he now ruled and where they came from. Ask about how they were looking after the young prince’s..young king’s child. He wanted them to be able to sit at the bar back before it was destroyed and have a drink and talk. But that wasn’t possible now. So he kept it down to the basics. “I could sense the power coming from the woman who attacked you and Akassa. If the church...if the church sends someone like that I’m not sure I could fight them and win.” he said ashamed of his own weakness. Ashamed that he had to admit to his brother he was scared. Ashamed he wasn’t more help when the church invaded the first time.
“But I promise I’ll be dead before anyone lays a finger on my nephew.” he said finally looking up to meet his brother’s eyes again and surprisingly enough, he meant it.

His two biggest secrets off of his chest in a matter of moments, told to a stranger who became (Though always was) a brother. Odd how life worked. Ninjin leaned against one of the remaining walls of the bar and took in a deep breath, enjoying the night air on New Vegeta, despite everything. His breath rolled out in front of him like a wave, cold despite himself. He let the breath hang there, hang there like the many questions Nasu had just bulleted him with. It was all very confusing. So he started at the beginning.
Omega. The tournament. The church. The church again. Lilith. Lilianna. The necromancer. All of the bishops and cardinals that Ninjin had fought. Everything he had gone through he revealed to his younger brother then, his soul pouring out as much as his words. It took what felt like hours, and truthfully much of it was hard to relive. When he was done however he felt like a man reborn. Nasu knew everything there was to know about Ninjin Hattori. He looked up at his younger brother.
"You are so much stronger than you realize Nasu. The blood that you have flowing through your veins is the same as mine. Someday you're going to be even stronger than I am. Azuki could not be in better hands." He added the last bit with a smile.

He listened with wonder as his brother began to describe his journey to becoming the King of the Iblisian people. About his torture at the hands of the Universal Church of One. About his trails by combat, his tests of will and intelligence. About his seeming life time in another dimension serving masters Nasu had never heard of and could scarcely imagine. Hell his brother had lived another life time, a life he could barely imagine and would never share, for a second he was sad but the story quickly drew him back in a moment later. He listened finally to Ninjin's triumph and his declaration that he was a true King of a people until a few minutes ago Nasu had never even heard of. It was a tail Nasu knew the prince, no the King should write down, even if it took hours and thousands upon thousands of words it was worth it. His journey was nothing short of legend.
He had sat silently not so much as fidgeting during Ninjin's tale. Nasu had always loved a good story, going so far as to stay up all night to read books instead of stopping in the middle and picking them up again in the morning and his brother's was captivating.
"Ninjin that's amazing. Someday I'd like to meet your people. If they're truly on Omega protecting your son is there any way to reach out to them. To let them know I'm not a threat?" he definitely didn't want to piss them off, he shivered remembering Ninjin's torture at their hands. In the brief silence his brother then did something completely unexpected. Looking up with a small smile on his face he spoke again.
"You are so much stronger than you realize Nasu. The blood that you have flowing through your veins is the same as mine. Someday you're going to be even stronger than I am. Azuki could not be in better hands." he said and a fierce flash of pride flooded through Nasu. Pride had always been the saiyan race's biggest weakness but here he felt it was well earned. His brother had entrusted his first born to him, he had accepted him as his brother. Where hours before he was an outcast no longer welcome among is own people and banished from his home. Now he felt accepted even proud of his family.
"Thank you Ninjin, you don't understand what that means to me." he said putting his hand on his brother's shoulder. "For what it's worth you'll make a good king both for the Iblisain people and for the Saiyan race." with that he stood up.
The rain was beginning to clear up as if some strange over lord was looking over the conversation and decided the melancholy mood was over and the story needed to move on. A touch of sunlight lit up what was left of the city in the distance. Though a lot was destroyed there was still room to rebuild...someday.
For now though it was time for Nasu to move on, he was still banished on pain of death and he didn't want to put his brother at risk being seen with him. While he was still the Prince he didn't need to be seen with a fugitive and there was no reason to force his brother into that position.
"Ninjin, I should go." he said finally the smile fading off his face. "We each have our own paths in front of us for now."
He walked a few steps away he had always hated goodbyes, who didn't? You only bothered to say goodbye to people you cared about and goodbye meant you wouldn't be seeing them for a while if ever again. With that in mind he turned back and instead said. "Till we meet again brother."

The way Nasu listened during the prince's tale made him feel good. It was a large weight to get off of his chest, and he knew there wasn't anyone that he wanted to tell so much as he younger brother, save perhaps his son. When he finished he gave a long sigh, as if breathing for the first time in a long time. The weight of many worlds was heavy.
He smiled when his brother expressed interest in meeting the Iblisian people. The majority of the Iblisian people were out on a space station somewhere deep in space. Ninjin had not even met most of his kingdom, though they very much knew of him from the tales told about his rise to the throne. There was a small group of them, led by a powerful Iblisian named Auron, who were defending Azuki on Omega. It would be hard to reach out to them, pure blood Iblisians were very hard to find when they didn't want to be, masters of the night that they were. Still Ninjin was their king, and if anyone knew how to contact them it was he.
"On Omega there's a bar called the Skyen Lounge. Go to the booth third from the back, a woman will be seated there. Tell her that she's looking lovely, and she'll respond by saying 'but the night is lovelier still'. That's Lilith, she's not an Iblisian, but she's an old friend, you can trust her. She'll bring you to Azuki. Nasu... I cannot thank you enough. If I do not return..." Ninjin left the rest unsaid, but the meaning was clear, take care of him if I die.
His brother placed his hand on his shoulder, and told him he'd make a good king of both of his peoples. Ninjin hoped that he could live up to that. He would certainly try his hardest, and would always do what he thought was right, even if his people didn't agree. The rain began to clear. Ninjin always loved the rain on New Vegeta, it was just so beautiful. A ray of sunlight hit the area where the palace used to be, and Ninjin felt his heart grow heavy. Would he see that sight again, built up to it's luster and beauty? Or would the night before the attack have been the last time he would ever lay eyes on his home?
To add to the pang of pain that Ninjin experienced in his chest, Nasu's smile faded and he announced his departure. Where would the two of them meet again? Would it be this life or the next? His brother was going to watch after his son though, and there was no greater gift he could have given Ninjin.
"Till we meet again brother." Nasu said, turning his back and flying away from the prince. He was left alone in the ruble of a bar. The icy feeling in his chest began to return. An sense of impending doom that he couldn't shake. Still he managed to mutter.
"Till we meet again."
Pl please.
