Azazel decided to take Alexandria on another walk around Central City. It had been some time since the encounter in the woods. Several days had passed and there had been no further activity from the group. She still knew nothing about this group, the only thing she knew is that they were after Alexandria. Alexandria was walking up to each shop, looking around. Azazel was glad to see a smile on the young child’s face. It has been several days since Alexandria smiled like that. The encounter changed the child perspective of Azazel permanently. It seemed that she was alright, but Azazel knew otherwise.
“Alexandria, what are you doing? We are supposed to return to the house soon.” Azazel said motioning Alexandria over.
“I am trying to find a nice hat to buy Azazel. I wanted to find two hats that were similar for both of us to wear. So far none of these stores sell hats.” Alexandria said looking up at Azazel
“That’s because these aren’t clothing stores Alexandria. These sell food items to people. So I wouldn’t think you would find a store here that sells hats.” Azazel tried to explain to Alexandria, but the child had already run off.
Alexandria ran ahead a few stores, before she disappeared into one. Shaking her head Azazel made her way to the store, looking inside for Alexandria. Before Azazel was able to do that Alexandria came running out holding two white hats in her hand. The one in her left hand had a purple flower printed on it, while the other had a red one. Alexandria motioned Azazel to come closer to her. Once Azazel was close enough Alexandria placed the hat on her head, while simultaneously placing the other had on hers.
A huge smile came across Alexandria’s face as she looked upon the hat on Azazel’s head. “Well there you go Azazel, it doesn’t matter where you are shopping. You can always find a place that sells hats.” Alexandria explained as she grabbed onto Azazel’s hand.
“I guess this time I was wrong, but come on we need to get going.” Azazel said turning around and began to walk down the street.

It was just another day in the warm air of central city as the streets were a buzz with people out shopping, traveling and seeing the many sites that the city had to offer. The weather had finally lifted from the usual brutal heat as large puffy clouds made their way lazily over the city scape, brushing against the iron beats that rose into the vast blue that was the sky. The many trees that lined the length of the main street of the market district swayed gently in the weak breeze that flowed down the road, the small leaves ruffled against each other adding to the sounds of the rest of the city.
Wandering through the alley ways in between the shops the young fox girl made her way through the market district, all the while following her nose as she went along. It was the strong scent of food that had lured her here in the first place, often Vixi's stomach would make decisions on her behalf with out so much as an objection from the girl herself. Food was always a great driving force in animals and humans, being a little of both didn't help that fact too much as she eyed the many shops that ran down the street, she had never seen so much food in her life before. Fruits, meat, sweets, little cakes, breads, and more fish than she could ever count(not that she could in the first place). Starting in awe the girls jaw was unhinged as a line of drool lazily hung from the corner of her mouth, there was so much to eat... but she didn't have any way to pay for it. The concept of money was something that she had just recently learned but it wasn't very difficult to understand, if you wanted something from someone then you traded with them, but usually people traded these little pieces of paper or shiny metal rocks. Vixi thought it was strange that people would want paper and rocks over food but it seemed like everyone was doing it, she wished she had some but it almost seemed like it was impossible to get her hands on.
Drooping her ears at the thought she glanced around the area to see just how many people were around, all the time she had been around people Vixi had begun to grow more wary of them. Though mostly it came from people scaring her...or taking her away....Shivering at the though of Rosen she switched her mind back to the market around her, as it didn't seem that there was too many people here. Carefully Vixi slunk out from the alley way on all fours and made her way over to the closet shop, though she had no money she could at least enjoy the sights of the food. Plopping her bottom down in front of the window Vixi sat on the hard sidewalk as she peered up through the glass window, as she wagged her tail back and forth across the ground, this was probably the closets she was every going to get to all the tantalizing goods.

Azazel and Alexandria continued their walk down the street. Making their way through several crowds of people. They would have gotten back to the elderly couples house faster, if Alexandria hadn’t been stopping at every single shop that they passed. Eventually Alexandria ran far ahead of Azazel, stopping in front of a store with someone sitting on the ground in front of it. Alexandria looked over at the person sitting on the ground. The red eyed child not iced the female had a tail and fox like ears.
Looking over at the female “Do you want something from in that store? Because I can get you something. Actually you know what, I think I will get you something anyways, you look hungry.” Alexandria said as she walked into the store
Azazel arrived just as Alexandria walked into the store. Shacking her head she knew what the child was doing, but not sure why she was purchasing two little cakes. She had already asked Azazel earlier if she was hungry or not and she wasn’t. As Alexandria came out of the store she smiled at Azazel and walked over to a female with fox like ears and a tail sitting on the ground. Azazel watched as Alexandria handed the little cake over to the female while beginning to eat hers.
“Alexandria what do you think you are doing?” Azazel said
“This nice lady looked hungry and she was staring at the food in the window. So I decided to buy her something to eat, because I figured that would be the right thing to do. Are you mad Azazel?” Alexandria asked as she took a bite out of the little cake.
“So you decided to feed a complete stranger because you thought it was the right thing to do? Do you remember the last time you interacted with a complete stranger? You have to be careful when interacting with others. There are people still after you.” Azazel explained to Alexandria, while keeping an eye on the fox looking girl that sat behind her.
“Well Azazel…….i don’t think that this girl is going to hurt me. She looks hungry and lost, so I decided to help her. And Now I am going to see if she likes the cake.”
Azazel knew asking her to leave at this moment was going to be futile. “Well miss if you don’t mind me asking. What is your name and how do you like the cake?”

Sitting in front of the shop Vixi watching in awe as her mouth hung on its hinge at all the foods that were being displayed behind the glass screen, each one looking more tantalizing than the last and yet some how not as delicious as the one before, the idea puzzled her but none the less if she had her way the store would be out of stock in less than a few minutes time; the girl had a tiny frame herself but she could pack away more food than an average elephant if given the chance, she often wondered how it was possible that she could do such a thing but regardless of the any reason why, she would scarf down whatever she could get her hands onto...except bread, Vixi had no idea why but for some reason or another bread seemed to make her pass out... at least the bread that Lance gave her did...strange....
The thought passed around in her mind carelessly bouncing from side to side as she sat upon the sidewalk wagging her tail back and forth joyfully, with her so caught up in the beautiful display she didn't even take notice of the two woman that had walked up upon her. It was the younger looking of the two that was the the first to make her way over to her looking much happier than the older one by first glance; energetic she happily asked Vixi if she wanted something from the shop with out any other question as to why she had ears or a tail which she thought was an oddity, it was usually the first thing people asked of her but it wasn't as though she had any way of answering them and even if she did Vixi herself had no idea of what to tell them; not even very sure of where she came from or why she had either of the extra parts that others didn't.
Before any chance to even to react to the girls question she zoomed off like a bolt of lighting straight into the store door as the small welcome bell rang in Vixi's ears; now left alone with the older woman all Vixi could do was stare in question as the woman didn't seem to approve of the younger girls actions though it didn't seem like she knew fully of what the younger girl was doing as of yet. Leaving the store just as quickly as she had entered the girl came back with a small cake not much bigger than the palm of Vixi's hand, without much choice in the manner she shoved toward Vixi as she took it with cautiously with suspicion. Holding it the palm of her hand Vixi scanned the sweet over carefully trying to determine what to do with it, obviously it was food but it didn't seem like anyone here in the city did anything without wanting something in return and once again she found herself without anything to give the girl.
Looking over the small good she picked up on the conversation between the two of them and glanced over too see what was going on, it seemed like the older of the two didn't approve of what she had done, but the girl seemed adamant in her decisions. Just from the sound of it though the woman didn't seem to be very happy in the fact that the girl had done such a thing for a 'complete stranger' her harsh words ripped at Vixi but she understood why, she often had issues trusting people as well, seeming like Jenn was the only one she could fully rely on. Dropping her ears at the woman's words she placed the small cake on the ground and quickly turned tail, she didn't want the girl to get into any more trouble just for Vixi sake of hunger.
Before the woman had a chance to ask Vixi's name she had already disappeared from the main street and zipped back into the cover of the alley way, it looked like it had been another bad idea of her's to wonder out to where people could see her. She was just too...different than everyone else was, it wasn't just the ears or the bushy tail, it was her lack of voice and the way she acted, she was the oddity in a world that was populated by normal people. Saddened by such thoughts she took a seat against the side of the bakery resting on the hard ground which bit at her bottom even through her skirt, hopefully they would just forget her and walk on by.

Before Azazel could get an answer to her question. The fox girl placed the cake on the ground and walked away, turning down an alley way not far from their original location. Alexandria turn around and picked up the small cake. Looking back at Azazel, she just shakes her head, making her way to the alley that the fox girl went down. Azazel watched Alexandria walk down the alley way. Following her, looking into the alley way she could see Alexandria once again trying to offer the small cake to the fox girl.
“It is alright, you can eat this. I brought this for you and no one else. Don’t mind whatever Azazel says. She is really nice, but sometimes can be mean and hurt someone with words. Also her fists, but that is only when someone tries to attack me. She is a nice person to be around, trust me.”
Azazel made her way into the alley way and walked up to Alexandria. The child ignored her for a few seconds before turning to her. “Are you going to say more mean things Azazel? I am sure that’s why this girl left the first time.” Alexandria said glaring at Azazel
“I am not going to say anything Alexandria. You have your reasons for wanting to help this person out. So I am going to let you do that. Just Make sure you are careful. I don’t want anything to happen to you while we are out here.”
“Good and I think you should apologize to her as well. I believe you are the reason why she left. You need to be more careful with what you say around others Azazel.” Alexandria said still keeping her focus on Azazel
Rubbing her eyes “Ok Alexandria. Hello miss my name is Azazel Moloch and I apologize to you for my actions before. Alexandria is only helping you because you seem like you need it.” Azazel said bowing her head
“Well good”] looking back at the fox eared female “See I told you she was a nice person. I am positive that she won’t act that way again. Now please eat the little cake.” Alexandria handed the fox eared girl the little cake one more time.
Azazel watched Alexandria once again try to give the cake to the fox eared girl. This is when Azazel began to look over the girl. Azazel noticed leather black boots that run up the length of her thigh, held together with a silver zipper. Long phoenix colored hair ran down the girls back and her bangs covered her eyes. Then came the ears that extruded from her head, they were the same color as her hair. Azazel has never seen anyone like her around Earth. So she was interested to see how she was going to interact with Alexandria.

Hiding next to a pile of trash and a few old cardboard boxes Vixi was sitting against the side of the hard covered wall with her tail pushed against her chest, she often found that it helped to calm her down whenever she was upset or sad. Starting from the bottom of the fluffy fiery colored tail she ran her hand up the furry coat and then repeated; back from the bottom then to the top once again. Her father used to do this for her and while it wasn't exactly the same thing since he wasn't the one doing it, it provided some of the relaxation that she was looking for; she never knew why but it seemed that when some one else did something it felt so much better than when she did it for herself.
Calming down from having run away from the main street she gave out a small sigh of annoyance and sadness, all she really wanted was for people to accept and like her, but she was just to different from the rest of them, wasn't she? Before Vixi could continue down that line of thought her ears began to flicker with a new found sound that was entering the alleyway, feet scuffing against the hard ground and they were heading down towards her. Already just from the scent alone she could tell it was the girl and the woman from before in the sidewalk, she didn't mind the younger girl she seemed pretty nice but the older one kind of scared her slightly, though that was probably because of her harsh words.
Drooping her ears to her head as they approached it was once again the younger of the two that was the first one to come up to her with her same energetic pattern she had when she first met her. The words came out her mouth like bullets making it difficult to tell where one sentence started and the other ended, but Vixi did her best to follow what she was trying to tell her. Whipping back around the young girl began to talk to the older one it sounded almost as if she was scolding the woman, which seemed a tad odd, it was usually the older ones that scolded the younger ones but the woman went even as far to apologize to Vixi which was followed by a bow.
Vixi wasn't really sure what just happened but she looked at the two of them with an almost blank stare and slowly nodded her head. Snapping back to the girl at the mention of the cake, she forced the little cake upon her. Looking it over once again she still seemed a tad unsure but she didn't want to make a big deal out it since all of what they had gone through just to give it too her.
Flipping her tail back and forth it gently rubbed the side of her face as she giggled at the soft fur against her face. Liking to keep her tail clean and knowing all too well that the cake would be messy she pushed it off to the side as it continued to dance back and forth with happiness. Opening her mouth wide a series of sharp teeth could be seen gleaming inside, with a lighting fast speed her mouth lashed out at the cake and devoured all in one bite. Chewing happily she let the sweet taste melt all across her tongue as she enjoyed the sugary taste, not knowing when she might get another chance to have something like it.

Azazel watched as Alexandria was once again trying to feed the fox girl the little cake that she had bought for the two of them. The fox girl seemed a little unsure whether she wants to eat the cake or not. More than likely she didn’t initially trust the offering. Azazel could understand if she didn’t. It wasn’t every day that two strangers offered food to you. Continuing to watch, the fox girl began to giggle as her tail rubbed on the side of her face. She then brushed the tail away and began to move back and forth looking happier than before.
Opening her mouth, the fox girl would lash out, quickly taking the cake from Alexandria’s hand. Azazel could see the enjoyment the fox girl was getting from consuming the cake. So it looks like this time Alexandria was right and the girl was only hungry. As Alexandria finished hers, she walked over to Azazel, motioning for Azazel to come closer.
Whispering to Azazel “Hey can you go back into that store and buy something else for us to eat. I don’t care what it is, but judging by how fast she ate it I think she may still be hungry.” Alexandria asked
“Alexandria we cant be here all day. We have to get back to the elderly couples house at some point. The fix girl may still be hungry, but I am sure she has somewhere to go where she will be fed.” Azazel responded
“And what if she doesn’t have a place to go Azazel? Are we just going to leave her here to rot? We can’t do that, we have to find her a place. Otherwise something bad could happen to her and we could be the last good people that she sees.” Alexandria whispered
“Alexandria, I am sure she is going to be fine. She has survived in the city for probably some time now. She must have some place to go or at least some person that is looking for her. I know that you want to help her out, but this time we can’t.” Azazel replied
“What if you had thought that way the first time you met me? You didn’t have to take me from the Slums on Omega. You could have just left me there, I had been surviving. It would be several days before I was able to eat something, but I was surviving as you put it.” Alexandria whispered back to Azazel
Azazel just looked at Alexandria. There was determination behind her words. Alexandria had connected with the fox girl. Azazel still doesn’t know what Alexandria was truly doing in the slums that day, but she did make a choice to rescue her. She has protected the child each and every day since that point without question. As Azazel looked back at the fox girl, she knew that there was nothing she could say to change Alexandria’s mind.
“Alright Alexandria, alright. We can help her out and feed her and see if she has a safe place to stay. You go and see if she has those things and I will be right back with food for the two of you. Do not move from this location until I get back.”
Alexandria nodded her head as she walked back over to the fox girl. “Alright my friend Azazel is going to get us more food. I hope you are happy with that. While she is gone I was wondering why do you have ears and a tail? Also do you have a name? And what are you doing walking through the alleyways?” Alexandria asked the fox girl,

It took no more than a mere few seconds for Vixi to completely devour the small treat, her strong sharp teeth made quick work of the defenseless cake, it was a weak and foolish enemy too try and match the raw strength of the girls mighty maw. Shredding the tiny cake to ribbons she swallowed what was left of the moist sweetened paste down into her gullet. Sighing with relief from the brief break from what seemed to be an never ending hunger she glanced back towards the girl with a thankful look on her face as her tail wiggled side to side against the wall, making a soft brushing sound on the brick siding. Though she had no means of currently talking to either of them she had grown to using her body language to best express herself to others, whenever she had the occasional chance with the right tools equipped at her side she could have drawn them a picture but as it currently stood she didn't have either of them. The only person that had given her such tools was Jenn and as of the moment she was not nearby, sometimes during their play time she would randomly get up and head off to the castle. As much as she would have liked to follow her, Jenn always had made her stay back in the tent and wait till she got back, but waiting was SOOOOOO boring. Being the curious little thing she was Vixi found that running off for a little while would fill the void till Jenn got back from whatever she did, which had lead her here to the markets today.
Unknown to the girl but having attacked the sweet so fast a large about of the frosting/ toppings had made their way onto her face leaving a smear of the stuff coated across her face. Already Vixi wasn't the fanciest eater, and such as in this case most of the food would get on her rather than in her. However with her great sense of smell she could sense the creamy bits that were attached to her face, and even though she had made quick work of the cake she wasn't about to let the small bits escape her wrath. Letting her tongue snake out of her mouth she began to trace the side of her mouth looking for every bit that had escape her original snacking, like an predator on the hunt it slithered across her lips and onto her cheeks as it searched for every missed piece. Clearing her face of all that she could reach with her tongue it withdrew back into her mouth as it seemed she arrived at a problem, she could smell one last bit of the frosting but for some reason she could not see it or reach it with her tongue. Though Vixi could not see it a small amount of the frosting had gotten stuck to the end of her nose leaving her able to smell it but not see it.
All the while Vixi was chasing the phantom food with her tongue it seemed as though the young girl was talking to the older one about Vixi but she had only caught parts of their conversation as most of her attention was held on capturing the scent that was so close nearby. The presence of someone staring at her was more than enough to pull her attention from the search too see the older woman giving her a strange look which confused Vixi, she appeared to be thinking intently about what too do next about her.
Making her mind up the woman turned back to the girl who by this point Vixi had picked her name up as being Alexandria; noting that she would help her out, whatever that meant... mentioning that she was going to bring more food brought the spark back to Vixi as her tail swung madly with joy. If there was one thing Vixi loved it was food...and hugs...and a good old fashion scratch behind the ears. Leaving the alley way and heading back out into the main street the older girl left the two to of them alone together, which didn't bother Vixi in the least, the older woman seemed a tad more harsh than the girl but it seemed to be that way with most adults. Kids were pretty happy go lucky while most older people seemed to take charge and be strict, though her father wasn't really like that; playful, kind and let her pretty much do whatever she wanted... well every thing but eat the slide at the park, she still didn't know why, it tasted good.
Turning her attention back on Vixi the girl began to bombard her with questions that shocked and confused Vixi for a few seconds before she was able to recover herself. The girl seemed to be just as hyper as Vixi could be, if only Vixi could talk she would probably be the same way.
Without any real means of communicating between the two of them Vixi didn't really have any way to answer the questions, all except one though. Glancing on the ground Vixi spotted rock, not much smaller than that of the palm of her hand, white and chalky like it would have the same effect of drawing chalk on the wall behind her. Picking it up in her hand she turned back towards the wall as tail swung out behind her in a wide arch brushing gently under the girls chin, though Vixi payed no attention too it as her mind was focus on the task at hand.
She didn't need to draw anything really fancy to explain her name as the letter of the alphabet were very simple to draw and didn't really require real effort on her part, it was just her hope that the girl knew how to read because as up to a few days ago she hadn't even been able to write her own name. Placing the chalky rock on the rough surface of the wall Vixi began to trace the all to familiar letters of her name on the wide side of the building, making them rather larger than need be she wanted to be sure the girl knew which of the letters that made up her name where. V-I-X-I stood out lined on the wall in big bold white letter making it clear that her name was "Vixi", had it not been for the fact that Jenn had spent so long teaching her to write her own name it would have been impossible prior.

Azazel made her way around the corner and entered the shop Alexandria went in earlier. She began to look around at the different food items. the one question she had forgot to ask Alexandria before leaving was exactly what she should get for her and the fox eared girl. Looking around, one of the store attendants came over to her location.
"Can i help you find something miss?" the women asked Azazel
"I am looking for something for my daughter and her friend. To be perfectly honest i don't know what would be the best thing to get them." Azazel said to the women
Meanwhile back out in the alley way, Alexandria was waiting patiently for the fox eared girl to respond to her questions. Alexandria watched as the girl looked around the ground. She watched as the girl picked up a white rock and began to write something on the wall behind her. She wrote the letters V-I-X-I. It didn't take Alexandria long to realize that must be her name. Alexandria was glad to see that she got an answer to at least one of her questions.
"Your name is Vixi, that is a pretty name, mine is Alexandria and the taller lady that is with me is Azazel. She is..." Alexandria paused for a few moments, she was about to call Azazel her Mother, which was something that wasn't true. She had an actual Mother, but something happened to her a while ago and Azazel was the only one that was watching out for her now. Fighting back tears Alexandria put on a fake smile for Vixi, not wanting to make her worry. "She is my mother and sometimes she can be a bit apprehensive, but she is a nice person." Alexandria said smiling at Vixi
At that moment Azazel rounded the corner holding two more pieces of cake and a white box. Alexandria ran up and grabbed one of the cake pieces, bringing it back to Vixi. She placed it on the ground, in front of her making sure it didn;t fall off the plate it was one.
turning back to Azazel "While you were gone i found out some things about her. Like her name is Vixi and i don't think she has the ability to talk yet. I am sure she will learn someday, but today is not that day. Hey can you summon up something for her to write with and to write on? I don't know if she knows how to use a pencil, but we might as well find out." Alexandria said
"Well at least she has a name, but it is weird that she cant speak for herself. I wonder what happened to her, where she lost that ability. There are still a lot of things we don't know about this Vixi, but i am sure Alexandria is going to want to stick around and find out."[/i] Azazel said to herself
placing the white box on the ground Azazel made her way over to Vixi. Using her item materialization she summoned up a pencil and a pad. "Here try writing with this after you are done eating. This may be a bit easier to write with than that rock." Azazel; said placing the pad and pencil on the ground.

Vixi's ears fluttered at the sound of the bell to the front of the store, just from where the woman had headed off to it was most likely her that was entering the shop. Picturing of all the small cakes and dishes flooded her mind at the thought of what she might bring back, the store window had only shown a small portion of what there was probably hidden further in the depths of the building. Even just sitting outside the building she had smelled all the sweets that wafted around the structure even now just thinking back to the recent memory her stomach growled with hunger as the beast that lived inside of her longed for something to eat, almost as if it had already forgotten the cake she had just devoured not minutes before hand.
Having finished her rough drawing on the wall Vixi turned back to face the young girl waiting to see what she thought of her name, she had always found herself fond of it. The shiny gold plate that had rested before the tank with the strange symbols VIXI craved deep into the medal surface, though then as now she had no idea that it was indeed not her name but the series of numbers that had been assigned to her as a project number. It wasn't clear if she would ever know the real story behind her name but regardless it was her name no matter what she found out. Her father had called her by it a few times and he was so smart, he seemed to know everything about anything, and it was the name he had bestowed upon her. It was only right that she kept it along with the few items he had given to her, keeping them close to her heart.
Vix's face lit up brightly at the girls words as she swayed her body back and forth bashfully at the girls kind words, her tail flipped from side to side with happiness. She didn't know why but she found she was a lot more comfortable in the presence of woman than of men, even her complement stuck with her more than it would have from a male. Other than her experiences with her father most encounters with men had been... well not the best to say the least. Both had frightened her to the point of where she probably wouldn't be able to get near then without tearing up once more. However...woman seemed much more... coddling than men were towards her, Jenn for example was the best thing she could think of. She never had a mother but she imagined that she was the closest thing towards one she would ever have.
Vixi smiled that she fully knew the two of their names, it was a tad awkward not knowing what to call someone, even if she couldn't talk it was still nice to know who she was thinking about. The younger of the two, Alex, seemed much more friendly and up coming about stuff than the older one, Azazel, seemed a much harsher in her words and body language. Regardless though they both seemed nice, they had gone out of their way to help her and give her food so how bad could they really be...then again...Rosen had seemed pretty nice too, until she found out he was working with UNITY. Father had taught her much in their short time but the one thing he always reminded her of was that never trust UNITY. His words still floated around in her mind ever present as they day that he had first spoken them, something she would never forget from him.
Mention that Azazel was like her mother Vixi could well relate to what she was saying, it was how she felt about Jenn. With her father out of the picture as of right now she was all she had, not her real mother but none the less she treated her like she was and Jenn treated her like her daughter. Her thoughts snapped back to what was going on around her as Azazel came marching back around the corner with two more slices of cake held in her hands. Seeming just as excited as Vixi was at the sight of the tasty looking deserts Alex ran up and took them from her, placing it at Vixi's feet.
Alex turned her back as she began to speak to the woman about what she had learned but Vixi's attention was something else during the whole time, the cake. Like a staring contest her eyes grew wide as he looked at the frosted spongy cake piece. Two pieces? In one day! Lucky her! Not even bothering to use her hands to pick the plate up Vixi simply leaned forward and with great flexibility snatched the cake into her mouth just like previously. Just like before a lot more of the cake ended up on her face rather than in her mouth as she struggled to lick away any of the frosting and cake she had missed.
Looking back up at the sounds of the woman's feet against the hard floor she saw that Azazel was now upon her. She wasn't exactly sure what she wanted from her as her eyes grew wide with question, that was until she saw the note pad and pencil in hand. Taking the two objects she wasn't exactly sure what the woman wanted her to do with it, other than her name and the letters of the alphabet she knew nothing else to spell. It was a tad embarrassing knowing just how many words were out there but it was a long learning process she hadn't yet mastered. Shrugging her shoulders at the idea she quickly jotted down her name once again on the white paper and handed it back to Azazel, it was the best she was going to get out of her unless that was they asked her to draw something, that was something she could do, and well.

Azazel wasn’t surprised to see the empty plate of the ground. Vixi seemed to be very hungry, it was almost like she hadn’t eaten for a few days. Once Azazel had handed her the pad and pencil, she was expecting for Vixi to write a lot. Once again the only thing she wrote down was her name. Perhaps that was the only thing that she knew how to write. Azazel didn’t think she had the time to teach her how to write more. Perhaps if they were to stay together long enough she could teach her more, or at least Alexandria could.
Whispering to Azazel “I think that is the only thing she can spell. I don’t think she knows how to spell other words yet. Someone is going to have to teach her. Oh and can you create another pad and pencil for me please. I want to try something.” Alexandria said
“You may be right Alexandria, but I wonder if she may be able to draw us something. Something that may tell us where she has been. Or even where she came from.” Azazel whispered back to Alexandria.
Azazel thought to herself for a few seconds before coming up with something to say to Vixi. She didn’t know for sure if she couldn’t spell anything else for sure. Seeing as she only spelt her name out again on the piece of paper. Azazel figured that was all the fox girl could spell at the current moment. Looking at Alexandria, she manifested another pad and pencil, handing it off to Alexandria. Azazel stood back up as Alexandria took a seat next to Vixi.
Spelling the name Alex on the pad, she showed it to Vixi. “This is how you spell my name.” Alexandria tilted the pad over so Vixi could see it. “You start with an A, then the L, then an E and finally an X. It spells Alex, I could teach you how to spell other words if you want. Just nod your head if you want me to teach you.” Alexandria said to Vixi.
Azazel was surprised to hear that Alexandria wanted to teach the fox eared girl more to write. She thought, since Alexandria looked so young that she, herself couldn’t write that much. Each and every day the little red-eyed girl kept surprising her. Rising back up, she decided to let Alexandria talk to the girl for a while. Vixi seemed to like interacting more with Alexandria then with Azazel. At least that is how Azazel saw it, for the time being.

With Vixi's excellent hearing due to her well trained ears and their larger than normal size she heard every word the two whisperer between each other as her ears twitched slightly at their words, she thought it was rude to whisper to one another while someone else was present but without any formal way to express just what she was thinking she just stared at the two of waiting for what would come next. She was unsure exactly what it was that Alex wanted to teach her but it seemed like Azazel wanted her to draw where she had come from which made Vixi ponder exactly where that was. She had been born in a tank, then lived in the park for a little while, and for the last few weeks she had been living with Jenn, she had liked the last one the best!
With a slight puff and pop did another pad and pencil appear in Azazel's hand the similar trick that Jenn was so fond of using. The idea of that Azazel might be related to Jenn made her giggle under her breath but at the same time it was exciting, they really didn't look very alike but they were both very pretty, not to mention they could both summon items at will. She had wished that Jenn would show her how it was done but so far most of their days had consisted of Jenn leaving to go work, or something and leaving Vixi to wander the city while she was out and about. It had been a far stretch for any relationship between the two but maybe it was possible that they at least knew each other... maybe if she was to draw a picture of Jenn she might recognize her.
Stepping over to where Vixi was at did Alex take a seat on the ground next too her feet and began to draw on the pad, from the height she was at Vixi had a pretty good bird's eye view taking in every stroke she made on the paper. The strange symbols she had been learned to write a few days back began to appear with her smooth easy moves of her hand across the page. Finishing the scribble as the A,L,E,X appeared on the mostly blank canvas, A,L,E,X? What did that mean? Though her mastery of the alpahbet was complete actually sounding out words and spelling was something she hadnt gotten any practice in as of yet though she was fimilar with many spoken words she did not associate them with any spelt words.
It wasn't until Alex mentioned that was her name did Vixi mouth open in a small 'O' shape at her stupidity as her face turned a shade darker... Explaining her way through the idea Vixi face turned another sahde darker on the fact that she not been able to figure such an easy name out of her own, now that it had been explained to her it seemed so simple, while a few seconds ago she wouldn't have know what it was to save her life. Shifting on her two feet in embarrassment did Vixi shyly nod to Alex's offer at the chance to learn how to spell, she was sure Jenn was going to teach her one day but as of yet it had not happened and imaging the surprise on her face once she found out she already knew a few words would have been funny! Grinning at the idea Vixi bent her knees and crossed the as she fell taking a seat right next to Alex as she peered over at the sketch pad she held in her hands.
Glancing out from the corner of her eyes Vixi noticed just how far Azazel was from the group standing by the wall looking like a loner in the friendly group and that just wasn't right! She should come and learn with them, Vixi guessed by her older age that she probably already knew how to read and write but she didn't want the woman to be left out from their activities. Waving her over with her out stretched hand Vixi patted the ground at her side as if too say 'come and join us'. Knowing all too well how it felt too be alone she didn't wish that on anyone so it was best if she came and had some fun with them, thought most people didn't think learning very fun Vixi always jumped at the chance to learn anything.

Azazel stood off in the distance watching as Alexandria explained to Vixi how to spell her name. The red eyes child has taken it upon herself to teach the fox eared girl how to spell. There was no doubt that it would be easier for Vixi to communicate with others if she knew how to spell more than just her own name. The child has taken an interest in Vixi, and Azazel was glad. Alexandria usually didn’t try to interact with many strangers. Something that Azazel told her while they were on their way to Earth. Azazel’s time on this planet was quickly coming to an end.
Obviously there was something different about Vixi. She gave off a calming and innocent nature, at least that is how Azazel saw it. Even though Azazel was worried about her at first, it was east to see that Alexandria was in no danger being around Vixi. Looking out into the street, Azazel just watched as people passed by. No one even gave a glance down the alley way. All of them seemed to busy with their lives to even notice Azazel standing there. Continuing to watch the people go by, she didn’t notice Vixi trying to wave her over. Wanting Azazel to join them in their learning session.
Azazel was far too distracted looking at the people around them. How she would love to fit in with the people on this planet. That of course was just a dream, a dream that would never come to fruition. She knew what she was, a Makaio or demon as she has heard her kind called around Earth. There was nothing she could do for her, but eventually she was going to leave Alexandria with the elderly family. It was the best place for the child. Some place safe, some place where she could have a normal life and not be searching the universe for SIlitha.
+++++++++
Alexandria saw the look n Vixi’s face when she realized that it was in fact her name that she was showing her. Then watching as Vixi tried to flag Azazel over to them, a smile came across her face. Alexandria looked over at Azazel, but she knew not to try to call her over. She has been along around Azazel long enough to tell that she was thinking about something. She must be wondering about her sister.
“Don’t worry about her Vixi, she is just making sure that no one dangerous comes down this way. I think she might be thinking about something, that is probably shy she didn’t come over when you waved at her.” Alexandria said giving vixi a smile
Alexandria flipped to a new page of the pad and wrote, H-i, h-o-w a-r-e y-o-u. Alexandria made sure to put a line separating all the letters out. “Now Vixi, this is how you write out to ask someone how they are. It is usually polite to ask someone this when you first interact with them. Now you go ahead and write it. Alexandria sat patiently waiting for Vixi to notice what she wrote and try to write it for herself.

Vixi watched from a few feet away as Azazel peered at the people on the street as they walked by, their lives focused on the daily routines of work, chores and relaxation, like robots they walked by not even taking notice of the three woman that where in the alley way next to the bakery. The look on the woman's face made her look as though she was lost, separated from the small group and away from everyone else, it filled Vixi with a sense of loneliness even though she was with Alex. Having been alone for so long she too knew the face that the woman held, many nights she had sat up looking at the bright moon that hovered in the sky, wondering what she was and what she was doing here in this world in the first place. Everyone was so different than her, she was the only one of her kind, even her father looked nothing like she did, Vixi had always wondered just why that was but no answer ever came of it. If her father had been there now she would have asked him in some manner but the search was still on for him, having no clue of him yet turning up.
It wasn't until Alex began to talk to Vixi that she turned away from watching Azazel and looked at Alex who explained that she was just being shy, but Vixi didn't think so.... She hoped that she was alright, sometimes when left alone for so long ones brain went to strange places, where the oddest thoughts would appear, though not all of them where the best. With a small smile Alex did her best too distract Vixi from Azazel for now by starting to draw on the pad of paper that had been summoned earlier. The familiar letters that she had learned began to appear on the white sheet with every movement her hand made until they were lined up in a long row one after another. It was strange seeing the alphabet paired together in such a fashion, it clearly was not the original way that she had learned where A was in the front and Z was at the end, also a few letter were missing while others had been repeated. Vixi was starting to wonder if Alex actually knew what the alphabet was but she soon explained that the way she had lined the words together formed a saying.
Cocking her head too the side with her ears twitching Vixi did her best to understand what she was seeing before her, how the letters had been used too form a saying... it was still so new too her, the letters and words but she was dedicated to learn how to do this. Taking the pencil at Alex's command too give it a try Vixi nodded her head and placed the sharpened pencil lightly on the paper as she begun to trace the letters below Alex's just as the way she had done it. As if the girl was a photo copier they matched the letters up perfectly too the ones Alex had made even copying the style in which she had done it in. If someone had come along and seen the drawing they would have thought Alex wrote the same line twice instead of Vixi writing the second one.
Though Vixi seemed to get the hang of it quickly it wasn't exactly the case at hand, where she had written the sentence perfectly in reality all she did was copy what Alex had done down to the tee. Every line, every curve, it was all copied not any skill of her own. With her photo graphic memory in place Vixi could draw anything without seeing it at the time, as if she had been standing right in the center of the picture herself, so it had been a simple task of copying the simple letters compared too that of drawing the cityscape or a park. Jenn had experienced this when Vixi had first met her, and being the only real way of communicating with her through the sketch pad she had drawn many of things for the woman as if they were snap shots of the real world.
Finishing the sentence up did Vixi glanced back over at Azazel who still seemed too be lost in thought, the sad, distant look still glimmering in her eyes. Dropping her ears at the sight Vixi though the woman could use some company or at least join the two of them in writing. As much as she didn't want to leave Alex alone there on the ground it looked as though Azazel could use much need attention before Vixi could continue with learning, it was always something she could put off till later anyway. Pushing herself up from the rough ground Vixi brushed her skirt off and quickly made her way over to Azazel. Coming in closer to her side she paused for a second too think about what she was doing but decided that it would be ok, since the two of them had been so kind too her. Wrapping her arms around the woman's waist Vixi gave her a light hug as she buried her head into Azazel's arm, with a quite purr. Vixi wasn't sure how much if any it would help but she didn't want the woman too feel alone any more than she did all those days ago. After she had found Jenn her life changed considerably, no longer did she go looking for scraps in the metal cans that lined the back alleys, or find a nice ditch too sleep in, she had a home with someone that loved her; and really that's all it looked like that she needed, some love and attention. Though she was a little bit shocked that Alex didn't seem to be enough for her, the young girl seemed nice enough but sometimes certain people needed more attention than they received in the first place. Wagging her tail Vixi would hold the hug until Azazel told her too stop or began to talk to her at which time Vixi would look up too meet her eyes.

Alexander watched as Vixi wrote down each letter correctly on her own pad. So Alexander didn’t know whether to be glad or feel something else. She was happy that Vixi was able to write down what she had written. A thought crossed her mind that maybe Vixi just copied down exactly what she had written only seconds prior. Alexandria was about to write something else down, but she noticed that Vixi was still focused on Azazel. Alexandria must have just gotten used to it. Every once in a while Azazel would go off on her own and think to herself.
Meanwhile Azazel was still watching the people go on with their lives. Watching the families walk by made her begin to think about Silitha and how worried she must be that Azazel wasn’t with her. It had been a long time since she had thought about her little sister. Being so focused on everyone in the streets she began to not notice that Alexandria and Vixi were still in the alley way with her. Azazel didn’t even notice that Vixi would get up and begin to walk over to her position.
“Silitha, I am going to find you someday. No matter where you are I am going to find you. There isn’t anyone that is going to stop me from finding you. Just hold on a little longer SIlitha, everything is going to return to normal.”
Water began to build up in Azaze’s eyes, she quickly wiped her eyes with her left hand. When she felt something wrap around her arms. Looking down she saw Vixi, around her waist. Looking into Vixi’s eyes Azazel didn’t know what to say or do. A tear ran down her cheek as she wrapped her arms around Vixi. There was something about Vixi, that felt similar, but Azazel couldn’t figure it out. Normally she would have just pushed any other person off of her if they tried to do this. In fact every time Kuro put an arm around her, she would always brush it away.
With Vixi, she just let it happen and hugged the fox girl back. Alexandria made her way over to Vixi and Azazel, saying nothing as she approached. She understood Azazel better that most people and even though it took a little but for her to figure out why she was acting that way. Alexandria figured she was thinking about her little sister.
“Don’t worry Azazel, everything is going to be fine. Once we are done here we can go look for your sister a little more. Just hold onto Vixi and everything is going to be alright. This is the first time I have seen you act this way. I have to admit it is good to see you show other emotions. I was beginning to worry that you were incapable of showing other emotions.”
Azazel looked up at Alexandria, and the red-eyed child was smiling back at her. The child knew what she was thinking about, Azazel knew this. She smiled back at the child, then looked back at Vixi. The innocence that she gave off was comforting for Azazel. It was something that Aazel wasn’t used to, but it was nice.
“Thank you Vixi.” is all Azazel would say as she tightened the hug a little, holding on for a few more seconds before motioning for vixi to let go.
