The park was filled with groups of people as they were scattered apart tossing balls, playing games, eating from their picnics, or simply just relaxing in the warmth of the day such as Vixi was doing. The girl often had trouble with people gawking at her strange appearance since it wasn't very often anyone would see such a creature as herself, but to resolve this issue she had taken it upon herself to hide in one of the far off corner of the park. The fences off park it self was more than large enough for a person to hide inside of and not be able to be found if they so chose so, with three basket ball courts, a pond, many different trees and gardens, along with a play ground and a vast open field it was more than big enough for Vixi to hide herself.
Though Vixi's opinions had change greatly about people in the last few weeks she found that it was lonely to keep away for too long; the girl was a sociable creature and needed to hear and interact with people, too long without it she found that she would grow sadden by the loneliness. She found that keeping her distance and watching them from the trees was usually the best way to go around it though, past experiences taught her not to get to close too people, either they wanted to get a bit to close to her or they wanted something else that she still wasn't quite sure of. Vixi enjoyed the attention that many people would give her, she even enjoyed the hugs she would get but sometimes people would want her to go with them, and it had never turned out well in the past, all in all it was just better for herself if she kept hidden away from prying eyes.
Vixi had just wanted a small break for a little while, as often as she had stayed at the park before she left on her journeys to find her father she never grew tired of the place. It was full of different sights and wonders to see for days on end, people playing, talking and not to mention all the plants that the city workers had planted and kept maintenance up on. It was and over whelming bloom of colors and sights for anyone too see, but often people would get too caught up in their daily lives to really appreciate the hard work that had be put into designing and building the area.
Seeking confront from the park she had found herself basking in the few beams of light that could break through the high branches of the great oak that loomed over the park. It was the largest standing tree in the city but often it was over looked as a cluster of small trees covered up its true height from all those that looked from far, not to mention being so far off in the back of the park most people didn't venture out so far. Resting on her back Vixi lay there on the darkened grass, her hands spread out beside her as her quite snores broke free from her mouth, already a small line of drool lay dripping from her mouth as she rested in the shade of the green foliage. Though the girl appeared too be unaware of what was going around the park her ears flickered randomly with any new or sudden sounds that would stand out from the rest of the park; always wanting too keep on her toes even when she slept.

Tenshi pushed herself from her bed, stretching and yawning, arms reaching for the ceiling. Her sleeves rolled down, and she rubbed her eyes. It was already later than she had intended, though she had nothing to do today. The sounds of the city pervaded her ears, and she could smell something cooking in one of the apartments adjacent to hers. Pushing forward, she let her feet touch the ground. The wood floors somehow managed to keep some cold from the night, but she ignored it. Her feet shuffled as she took the few steps to her dresser. Opening different drawers, she pulled out several articles of clothing, changing from dark purple silk-like pajamas, to a solid dark green t-shirt, and soft khaki pants. She slipped on a pair of sandals, and left the apartment.
Outside, there were a few racing clouds in the sky, through which the sun shone its warming light. People were busy, as always, and some rushed, some strolled, and all paid attention to only themselves. Tenshi slipped into a gap, and began walking along the sidewalk. She didn't have a destination in mind, though as she walked, she realised that the park would be a fantastic place to go. Following the pavement, she took a few right turns, a couple of lefts, until she was on Park Way, a fitting name.
The iron gate that was the opening was very ornamental, twists and pulls here and there. People walked under it, with nary a look upward to gaze. Tenshi took a few moments to admire the gate, before walking under it as well. The grass was green, the trees waved, children laughed and scream and ran, dogs played fetch. It was a wonderful thing. The Valkyrie took off her shoes, wiggling her toes in the grass. It was a good feeling, and she smiled. She bent down to pick up her shoes.
In the center of the park there was a large tree. IT was the oldest tree, and seemed to be where the park was built around. Benches, shade, it was a nice place to sit and relax. It was to there that Tenshi made her way. Underneath the shade, laying down with her hands behind her head, was a woman. She appeared to have fox ears, and was the only person who didn't seem to have company. Tenshi decided she would sit next to her.
Crossing her legs, she looked at the clouds. "Its a nice day today," she said to no one in particular, but was hoping that the woman next to her would respond.

With the dull roar of the city left off in the distance by the large walls that surrounded the green haven in a sea of grey the park had a peaceful aura in it, simply joy and laughter, it seemed almost like another world many years away rather than right in the depths of the concrete jungle. The plants bloomed and the trees swayed in the soft breezes that wafted through the high limbs of the trees, even with the rough games of football and soccer going on in the large open field the grass area had a type of warmth too it, so many different people of many different races all playing together without any other cares, a few of them weren't even human, which wasn't entirely shocking. Earth had its long history of visitors from other worlds and in the more recent years that number had more than tripled than years prior but for the majority it was still human based.
As much as this was peacefully, and tranquil was Vixi often found it somewhat difficult too blend in with others, the first obvious signs were because of her seemingly unnatural body, the ears that protruded from her head, a long bushy tail that portrayed her emotions and her seemingly flawless white skin. Even in the world filled with exotic creatures and aliens it wasn't very clear were she fit in, not a fully human but not fully animal or even alien for that matter, she really didn't belong to either group. However it wasn't as though she wasn't entirely except by others, but it was clear that people treated her differently than others. People that looked her age acted differently than her, their body language, they way the talked and walked even they way they acted was different from her and as such she was treated differently. It also didn't help her cause much that she unlike most people she couldn't speak a word of English, not even a simple "yes" or "no", even as far advance as human culture had become they still seemed to act strangely towards those with some type of disability, whether it be one of physical appearance or mental.
Even as simple, clumsy, or playful as the girl apperaed to be a lot more went on in her mind than first glance would show, behind her green eyes she took in everything she saw, heard, even tasted to better understand the world and do her best to process it. But it seemed that no matter how much she learned she still felt like an outsider from the rest of the world...maybe even the rest of the universe. Such a sad thought from such a loving and caring person, but as joyful as she could be her mind could be just as logical, though it usually lacked in speed on that process, always coming in second place to that of her emotions.
Having fallen into a deeper sleep than she had originally planned Vixi had not been paying much attention to what was going on in her surroundings, though with such a volume of trees surrounding her she thought that no one would wander much further than the outer rim of the tree line, but she was wrong. As if the trying to find the quiest place in the park the woman traversed through the ticket of the trees and made her way towards the grand ol' tree that stood high into the sky. Ploping herself down on the cushiony grass not much further away from Vixi it wasn't until the woman spoke that it broke her from the deep sleep she was in.
Like a drunken haze Vixi slowly opened her eyes, fluttering them a few times to make she she was really awake and it was not a dream she scanned the tree leaves above as they danced with the wind patterns that blew above. Ears flickering side to side she was trying to think if she had really heard someone that close or if her dream like state had been playing tricks on her once again, with such an over active imagination as the girls it was all possible that it could have happened. As much as she just wanted to drift back to sleep once again she knew it was best if she was to glance around at least once, just encase it had not just been her head playing tricks on her.
Quickly she snapped her head side to side letting her fiery red hair drag in the grass, it was more than a blurry glance at first but the fuzzy outline of someone sitting next to her was more than enough to make her do a double take. Turning her head back towards the person she could clearly see what it had been that she witnessed ; a woman...she didn't look to be that old, but it was so hard to tell with huma- wait...wings? Usually Vixi would have been more startled by someone getting so close to her without her noticing but the wings that stood out her back was more than enough to freeze the girl in awe and confusion. Since when did human's have wings? Then again since when did humans have tails and animal ears? A question she would have very much liked to know herself but that was for another day as she was staring right at a person with full, functional looking wings at where as white as pure snow.
Vixi wasn't really sure how to react or even what to do next, running was always an idea but her curiosity was calling at her "touch it, just once, come on, you know you want too" and such an idea was very tempting. They looked rather soft, their long white quills running a few feet out from her body as they came to a fine tip at the end, even the small fuzzy bits shook slowly in the breezes. After looking over the woman for so long it became very apparent to her that she had been staring far much longer than would have deemed necessary, pushing herself on her bottom she shook her head rapidly side to side as too snap her out of her dazed state.
It helped much to say the least but resulted in tangling her hair up in a knotted messed, making her look a tad more crazy than probably need be given her first meeting. Blowing out with her mouth she shot a few strands of the bright orange hair from her face, helping her to better see through the blockage in her vision now.
Not one well with words she found that there really wasn't any way for her to respond to the woman's question other than to nodded her head slowly to agree with the woman's statement, it was a lovely day outside and she had been fully enjoying it...well as much as she could without getting strange glances or gaping stares. For some reason the last one usually came from males she had noticed, and found slightly odd but then again she was still learning a lot from the new world around her and she was sure that there had been a lot she had yet to understand.
She found there to be a slight gap in conversation since she could not talk, she wished there could have been more she could have added to it but without the usage of words she was mute to say anything more, or anything at all. Even with that in mind she could not take her eyes off of that of the woman's wings, tantalizing as they were they seemed to call out too her, or once again it was her mind speaking to her. Glancing quickly back and forth with her eyes as if too see if anyone was looking she slowly reached forward with her hand, reaching out to stroke the angelic like wings, hopefully the woman wouldn't not notice the act because it was all possible that she would have been against and they looked to soft not to touch.

The girl, red haired, with fox ears and a tail, stared at her as she arrived. Tenshi was used to stares, and usually didn't mind. It was actually kind of cute, the fox girl's eyes following her wings. She shook her head vigorously in the grass, hair splaying everry which way before moving herself around into a sitting position. She didn't speak, and Tenshi only glanced at her, noticing her stares.
She smiled warmly, hoping she hadn't frightened the poor girl. But as she turned back towards the sky, she noticed out of the corner of her eye, a hand reaching for the wings. She turned her head, and spoke again.
"Feel free to touch them. They're very soft." With this invitation, she would allow Vixi's wandering hand to meet its target. She was kind of cute, in a younger kind of way. The fox ears helped as well, and the red hair was rather alluring. It took some self-restraint to refrain from keeping her eyes anchored on the vibrant red orange.
The clouds overhead made strange shapes, not pulling attention to any one in particular. The breeze was nice, coupled with the warm waves of sunlight. The rippling leaves in the trees played interesting patterns of shade over the two as they sat. Tenshi felt the need to break the silence.
"I'm sorry, I never introduced myself. My name is Tenshi."
It was a simple introduction, said while facing the Vixen girl.

Now sitting up in the short green grass Vixi had leaned over a few inches with her arm stretched out in the attempt to touch the woman's wings, never before had she seem someone so usual as she was. She seemed to be fairly young, her youth still clearly shown in her body, though the way she carried herself around gave her the aura of someone that was much older than that of Vixi; whose mind was still care free for the most part. The want to touch the woman's pristine white wings was a call that she couldn't not resist no matter how much her mind told her not too, the rest of her being told her to go ahead and do it. The small voice in her head eventually faded with the want to brush her hand up and down her feathery wings, even as she moved closer she could start to make out the tiny feathers that lined the length of the span of her wings, their tiny lengths adjusting to the movements of the gently breezes. As soft as they looked she imagined that they would feel even softer once she took her hand around them.
Taking notice that was Vixi was slowly approaching her the woman finally spoke up making Vixi almost jump out of her skin, her tail flexing out in a straight line behind her back side like that of a cat caught startled by a sudden movement. A small whelp escaped through her lips at the thought of her being caught in the act as her hand whipped back to her mouth, cheeks glowing a dark shade of pink she blushed brightly as her green eyes grew wide. It was always hard to tell just how people would react towards the fox girl, some where friendly and gave her a warm welcome while others were shocked and even shooed her away from their sight, however the angelic woman gave her a warm inviting smile, something of which that helped Vixi to calm down a bit as her tail dropped a few inches from where it had been. Even with the happy look that was spread across the woman's face Vixi's heart rate had climbed greatly before and was still pumping away widely as she did her best to calm it down now that she was no longer in a way in danger.
Speaking up for the second time the woman gave her permission to go ahead and touch her wings seeming as though this was a normal thing for her, and given at just how much it was an oddity too see someone with wings it must have been a common occurrence too her; had Vixi been less focused on wanting to touch her wings she might have questioned the idea but her mind was solely fixed on the task. Glancing back once more at the woman's face she made sure that she was fully ok with the idea of touching the wings, with the good to go locked in place Vixi didn't waste any time. Leaning forward once again she pulled out with her arm as her nimble fingers brushed against the woman's wings, a small gasp of awe left Vixi's mouth at the feeling alone. It was as though she had just taken a hold of a rabbit that was completely wrapped in silk, she never knew that something with such a fine softness to it could exist within this life. Making sure not to cause any discomfort in the woman's most likely sensitive wings she kept her rubbing too a long repetitive strokes that followed the flow of her wing. Starting from the top of the wing she would caress the vibrate feathers through her palm until she found herself at the tip of the wing and then start over in the same process. She knew that the woman was indeed not an animal but it was the fashion in which she would pet a creature that Vixi was using here. Fascinated with the overall amazing feeling of her majestic fuzzy wings Vixi seemed to be lost in awe with every stroke till she reached the bottom, only to start over once again. With her tail flickering from side to side it was obvious too anyone that was looking over that she was very much enjoying herself here.
This went on for a little while as Vixi continued to pet the woman's wings over and over again even adding her other hand to the mix, had it not been for the woman speaking up she would have stayed like this all day, until the sun would have set over they city. Like always Vixi was easily side tracked from what she was doing, often forgetting just what it was she was doing that day. Piping up the woman introduced herself as Tenshi, it was an unusual name but she liked it, her name really complementing her foreign almost alien nature. Sliding around to face Vixi, Tenshi's wings left from the grasp of Vixi's small hands making her frown slightly but it was for the best other wise she would have been stuck in the fox girls grasp for hours on end. Now that they were face to face Vixi was able to get a better look at Tenshi's appearance, her long white hair seemed to be clumped together in long strands that covered up part of her face as they shifted around from the small winds that came through the park. Over all she was a very attractive person, her youthful face matching with that of her young slender body, if it wasn't for her wings then she would have been sure that she was indeed a human.
Having addressed herself as Tenshi, Vixi wished to address herself however she still lacked the power to talk, she knew the words in her mind but whenever she went about trying to say something all that would come out were small whelps and howls, making her sound more like a puppy than a human. The fact that she could not talk used to send her to the edges of crying and force her into a pit of sadness but she had learned over time how to cope with this, though it was mostly Jenn building her confidence that did it. Tiliting her head from side to side he thought about the best way to go around trying to talk to her, racking her mind quickly she remembered she had a small note pad that she carried with her, just one of the many gifts that Jenn had given too her. Vixi's vocabulary was something that was indeed lacking in, leaving her with only her name to be spelled. Reaching inside her jacket she took a hold of the white pad and brought it out as a pen was held in the spiral binding of the pad. Taking the pen and flipping the front page over in one seamless movement as Vixi took up writing her name as big and bold as she could. Looking it over once to make sure all the letters were as they were supposed to be she turned pad over to Tenshi so that she could get a look at it, thought it was Vixi's real hopes that she could read otherwise this was going to make it all the more difficult.
