Hello everyone,
This is just a short little inquiry. I was hoping you could all post in this thread expressing what you like about the concept of forums. Not this particular forum or its subject, but the idea of having a forum itself. For example: Why RP here? Why not RP on twitter, facebook, or any other social media? Because, honestly, Forums are a type of social media. What are you able to do here that you cannot anywhere else? Furthermore, how were you introduced to forums? What made you try this thing when you knew nothing about it?
Thank you.

Well when you post in a forum you find one that suits your person preference and find people with the same likes that you have, example this site is aimed towards people that enjoy DBZ so they go around making a character and play as though they had a role in the universe after the events of Goku and the Z-fighters. I suppose that I could do it Via FB but I don't have any if at all friends other than one that is on FB that would interested in this, so i go to site like this to find people that share the same interests with me.
And as to being introduced into forums such as this I can thank Kit for that one, good man showed me the ropes and as it took a while too fully get into I'm glad that he brought me into the forum world.

Organization. I have always found social media sites to be a clusterfuck of messages organized arbitrarily. Forums like these put control in the hands of the user which allows them to change basic functions such as the announcements we see, the fonts we enjoy, and the categories that are available. Social media does not provide this level of control, and awful messes like Tumbler or 4Chan are difficult to follow or too massive to enjoy on a smaller scale. Organization is what really sets this apart. And Anri...Stop it you
