A thin smile spread across the androids blue lips as Zero agreed with her strategy. The expression only formed to convey that she was pleased with his decision, no really happiness behind it. As a machine she had no emotions although she could mimic them perfectly if the desire or need arose. Multiple times in the past Ona had used such calming facial features coupled with her appealing physical form to disarm targets, many males easily falling for the trap. While she had always possessed the power to handle such situations without need for a strategy like that, she found it more interesting to access how well such tactics worked. Most missions were so easy it was the only real gain she came away with, that and further securing her funding from the Universal Church of One.
Motionless the Cardinal had no intention of attacking first, the construct a defensive fighter in most scenarios. Whether Zero had come to that realization based on the shield she bore or simply thought hesitating to long might seem suspicious, her launches himself at her. With fluid, exact movements only capable by one such as their selves the android was in the air. While to any weak creature or creation the movement would have been quick, Ona was able to follow it with ease. With his body propelling itself forward his long golden hair had no choice besides coming along for the ride, the long strands flowing out behind the machine like a collection of thin ribbons. Eying the strands she found it interesting they were close in color to the golden hue of the two Super Saiyan’s that struggled against Invictus. What a curious choice by his masters.
Not to be distracted by his flowing locks she was ready when his sabre came for her chest. Not having shifted much her arm snaps up to deflect the blade. While Ona’s blade was not made of the same substance as Zero’s, it met the sabre with full force, blocking it as if the weapon had been made of steel. The dance had begun. Both machines moved with precision as they exchanged strikes, each being met by a block or parry of the other ones blade. Despite having a shield the Cardinal did not employ it, using her blade to defend herself against her “foe.” So quick and potentially deadly should a block or parry be missed, to any observing the blows seemed full hearted.
Perfection.
Hearing his question the Cardinal was surprised it had not been one he asked earlier. Her answer was as broken up and parceled out as his, the details given as the two continued to exchange blows. “Warlock is the leader of the Universal Church of One, she who commands the Cardinals. Your allies do not know it, but they should count themselves lucky that they have arrived while she is away. While there is a small chance they might prevail against Invictus, this conflict would have already been over if she had been present. She is the one who channels Aon’s will, she is said to speak with him directly when he sees fit.” The last part was not something even Ona was sure was true or not, the source of the female’s power something she had not completely derived yet. All of those, including the android, answered to that one’s call. In the beginning Warlock had recruited Ona.
As she finishes answer his question the android shifts, parrying another strike from his sabre. Smacking his blade out to the side she uses the momentum of the block to continue her spin, bringing herself around, her shield arming following. Snapping the appendage up she aims to bash him with the solid piece of metal, the blunt force behind it enough to propel him back, but with no serious damage. The lunge that came afterwards would be the followup attack, her thin sword stabbing for the center of his chest.

“Warlock is the leader of the Universal Church of One,” Ona explained as she parried the android’s blade. Her arm snaps up to meet Zero’s saber and deflect the strike aimed at her chest. Ching! the blades clash and Zero shifts to intercept her counterattack. Their movements were exact. They didn’t waste energy or time with unnecessary movements. Every single change in their respective composures was purposeful and geared towards their next attack. After that first swish of the blade, they had entered a ballad of swords. Zero was surprised to discover that Invictus was not their leader. Nobody had implied otherwise, but the man was dressed and behaved as though he were the one calling the shots. To think that there was a much greater foe hiding amongst the shadows. The existence of this Warlock brought many questions the android hoped Ona would be willing to answer.
As Zero thrusts his blade, the woman shifts her body and parries. His saber was buffeted by her sword, taking the android off balance as she uses the momentum of their colliding blades to spin on her heel and ram the pommel of his sword against Zero’s chest. The android was defenseless in that split moment, with hands up in the air as he attempted to regain dominance over the forces upon him, he was left wide open. The back of her sword connecting with the android’s chest made a dull sound as Zero was forced back against his will. He had not sustained much injury despite not wearing his red jacket, most of the energy expulsed from her throb was absorbed by the artificial components weaved into his skin. Feet dragged across the concrete floor up to two feet away before friction pulled him to a halt. Ona was already moving to pierce through him like a kabob, but Zero was just as fast.
Bringing his arms towards the center, the android intercepted her lunge with the flat side of his saber perched up at an angle. The blades cringed as one attempted to stop the other before Ona’s slid past the slanted blade, redirecting the attack safely away from the android’s stomach. Pivoting over his left heel, his right leg turns back and shifts his body around Ona’s as her body continues its distorted path. He had taken back the momentum she had harnessed for his own and empowered his thrust, aimed at the small of her back. “Where is this Warlock now?” he asked; the first of what would turn out to be a series of questions. “And if she’s as strong as you say she is, why hasn’t she annihilated the saiyan? What is her power-level?”
Warlock, this new character introduced to the equation was such a mystery. It appeared that the teachings of this Aon came from her, thus, she is probably the founding member of the Church of One. What troubled the android is, if she was as strong as Ona claimed her to be, why must the Church exist in the first place? If she had already obtained the power Zero and his master yearns to unleash, why are the saiyans still breathing? What is she waiting for? Or is she unable to defeat them for some unknown reason? None of it made any sense, and something told him than Ona would not be able to answer him. Her power-level, although it seemed as something trivial to any other person, it was of utmost importance to the android and his mission. Warlock has the power to destroy the saiyans, the power he must obtain. If he knew what Warlock’s power-level was, then he could surpass it and reach the level of strength necessary to fulfill his purpose.

The pommel of her blade drives into his solid chest, the thud of the impact nothing compared to the blasts and explosions going on around them, but easily perceivable to their heightened senses. As the momentum of her strike transferred to Zero it was enough to slide his deceivingly heavy frame backwards, creating a small gap between the two before gravity and friction take their toll. It was no matter; the small distance between them was all that she needed. Without a moment wasted she stabs forward with her narrow blade. Sharp enough to cut most materials with ease the weapon would have no problem punching through his artificially constructed body. To most such a wound was mortal, but their kind was not so weak.
Instead she is pulled onto her toes as he deflect her strike. The sudden shift in her own momentum is enough to cause her to overbalance, soft soled boots bending as she rises slightly forward onto her toes. Such a movement left her open, her weapon wielding arm overextended. While her blade was not able to snap back in time to defend soft blue eyes tracked him as he moved behind her. They also saw the saber stabbing in for her slender lower back, a potentially devastating attack if it was to damage her spinal column. A strike executed as smoothly and perfectly as his was near impossible to defend against for a normal creature, but Ona was far from average.
Her shield wielding arm bends at the elbow, the joint moving in the opposite way of what was considered normal amongst humans and similar races. As part of her own enhancements the Cardinal had modified every single one of her joints to be double jointed, making her far more flexible than the typical fighter. While such a position of the arm was unobtainable by most she achieves it with little effort. The tip of his saber screeches some as it drags along her shield before it is forced off to the side. With the attack effectively blocked she secures her footing before spinning back, blade coming around in a horizontal strike at Zero’s neck. As she launches the counter attack she also answers his question.
“Not here obviously. That one may lead the Church, but she works on her schedule and her schedule alone. We Cardinal’s rule in her stead and her current whereabouts are known only to her.” It was the truth. Warlock was more mysterious than the lot of them and she often disappeared with directives left for the rest in her wake. “As for her power level I am uncertain. Over the years I have known her I have recorded it numerous times and come to notice one thing. Her power signature is always reflective of her company, matching that of her strongest friend or foe. Whether she chooses this or it is beyond her control, I have yet to ascertain.”

Most beings would not have been able to evade such an attack. With her body extended in the direction of her lunge, her entire back was open to a number of attacks. Because of their agreement, however, Model Zero was performing at a less than optimal level –as was she-, so he fully expected her capable of escaping his thrust unscathed. Regardless, he would have never expected her to do so in such a bizarre manner. To most, the sight of her elbow bending in the opposite direction would have made the toughest of men to cringe. It was enough of a distraction to enable her to opportunity to slit her opponent’s throat without any warning. Zero, on the other hand, was not any random warrior. He was an android, like her, and due to that sole fact he was able to remain composed even when surprised.
As Ona spins around with her blade, Zero pivots his head back. His eyes never leave the edge of her blade, as it was only millimeters away from his skin. Having evaded her attack safely, the android retreats, leaping back a few feet as Ona answered his previous question. Zero took this time to observe her unconventional arm as it was bent in the opposite direction. Ivan had not installed double-joints on the android, and Zero didn’t think he wanted them either; such tactics were not appealing to the eyes, he thought. Another observation he made, was the small but fresh wound under his chin. Ona had managed to slit his neck, if just slightly. Zero had completely evaded contact with her blade, which meant that her mere semblance was able to pierce his soft skin. If he had been any closer, the wound might have been more than just a scratch.
Red liquid slowly trickles down his neck. The android applies pressure to the wound in order to stop the leakage. Ivan had already explained it to him. Although he was an android, his body relied on certain fluids that allow for his flawless performance –although, he doesn’t need them to survive, he wouldn’t want to lose his ability to remain competitive. The fact that the liquid resembled blood, it was a coincidence, and that sharp sensation felt around his neck was just an indicator letting him know that a breach had been produced in the designated area. But he couldn’t feel pain, androids couldn’t feel anything –according to Ivan, and Zero took his words by law. The android was completely unconcerned for the wound.
As for this Warlock, Zero had learned three things about this strange enigma; the Church had no clue about her whereabouts, her intentions, nor her strengths. This Warlock person was very cautious and secretive amongst her own group. Whether her intentions were the same as the Universal Church of One was questionable. If she intended to eradicate the saiyans, why was she not present during the day the Church attacked the saiyan’s home? Zero grasped this much after listening to Ninjin’s bout with Invictus. Evidently, the saiyan prince was here on a grudge against the church, and it was clear that Warlock did not take any part in that attack, else they would not be breathing. If what Ona said was true, Warlock does not need the Universal Church of One, they were only a pretense to a much greater cause –or perhaps, Zero was reading too deep into things. If Warlock wished, this entire charade could have ended before the super saiyans ever had a chance to awaken. Instead, she keeps her own hidden agenda, as Ona described.
In regards to her power, all Zero knew was that she was at least as strong as Invictus –if not greater. But it appears that Warlock would not reveal her true strength in front of her own allies. She always kept herself as strong as the greatest warrior in her presence. This demonstrates that she does not trust the Universal Church of One as she must keep herself at a level to discourage anyone who may attempt to attack her, and low enough that they cannot know of her limits.
If Ona had not yet pursued him with another attack, the android would shortly charge at her similarly as before. “Have you ever witnessed her in a battle?” He asked, thrusting his blade preemptively at a considerable distance before striking again once he was in range. He hoped that Ona could at least shed light in regards to Warlock’s abilities, fighting style, weapon of choice, and perhaps even weaknesses. He didn’t think he would have to face this Warlock, as they didn’t seem to have contradicting goals, but Zero was a curious android always in search of answers, even if he wouldn’t necessarily ever need the knowledge. Another reason for his questions was Prometheus Zex. No doubt the benefactor would assess the android’s performance. The Lord would be disappointed to learn that his crew was annihilated, but there was nothing they could have possibly down about it. However, he would be pleased with Zero to learn that, in the process, they have also taken down most of the Universal Church of One, freed up two planets for him to colonize in the near future, and brought information about Warlock. In return, that would mean that Zex would probably involve Zero more in his operations, and provide more funding to Ivan.

While Ona’s double jointed-ness did not give Zero any pause, but the small trickle of blood like substance had the Cardinal pausing. How curious that he leaked so easily, and from the color of the liquid it did not seem to be oil or any other sort of lubricant. Was the android covered in more than just a thin layer of artificial skin? Perhaps an under layer of “blood vessels” had been installed to give those fighting him the illusion that he was alive if he were to be damaged. When this was over she was going to request to take a closer look at Zero, not having the time or the tools to do so in the current setting. Letting her scientific curiosity getting the better of her she takes the time to slowly turn to face him.
The information that Ona had provided so far was factual. Whether it made sense to Zero or not was a completely different story. Warlock was a mysterious character, there was no doubt about that, yet she was dedicated to the Church. The Universal Church of One had grown so large and powerful mainly because of her presence and direction. The Cardinal herself was unsure if their god existed or in what form he might, but she was sure Warlock communicated with another. Her seemingly fluctuating power level made her even harder to read, Ona not sure if she had a true power level like the rest of them. Perhaps if Zero ever met the woman he might understand the enigma that was Warlocks, words could never due her justice. Even meeting her left many questions unanswered. Admittedly, if frustrated Ona.
As Zero came at her once more she was of course ready, blade intercepting his perfectly as he continued his string of questions. While their blades collide with each other she gives him the short answer. “No, she makes an effort to avoid fighting. Such things are left to the Cardinals and soldiers.” While she often sported a formidable signature she had never entered combat in Ona’s presence.
When Zero’s next strike comes in she blocks it, allowing his sabre to rest on her blade. Allowing their faces to get close, her cool blue eyes look into the dark spheres on his face. This close to one another her orange-red bangs brush along his face as a gust of wind rolls over the top of the building. It was her turn to ask a question.
“Why where you created Zero? What is the goal of your Masters?” She had asked a similar question before, but now she wanted more details. If she was to be returning to work for them she wanted to know exactly who it was she was going to be working alongside.

Model Zero springs at the woman with his green saber whistling as it slices through the air. Streaks of phosphorescent green light mark his strokes as the android advances head on. Ona, an avid fighter, evades them with expertise, redirecting and knocking his strikes away as she simultaneously answers his question. Zero was disappointed with her short answer, although he expected it after what she had told him. He didn’t believe her to be lying. Warlock proved to be a cautious and reserved character. It was possible that nobody in the universe has ever witnessed this person in action. But how could such an enigma exist? Who was this person before she became the mysterious benefactor of this Universal Church of One? And how did she become who she is while remaining completely anonymous to her enemies? As it turned out, this Warlock person was everything Ivan desired for Zero; to obtain the power required for annihilating the saiyan race –and somewhere in the vast universe, she was sitting on it.
Zero performed a few feigned attacks to disorient her opponent. Regardless, Ona was quite sharp and did not falter before him. If the android were a spiritual being, he might have thought that destiny had its hand in these series of events. It had paired him with a like-minded android that wields a sword as her weapon of choice. Model Zero had met very few like himself. Most other androids were really just humanoid machines programmed to perform mundane tasks that serve to improve the quality of life for the biological populations of Alpha Prime. They had no intelligence. However, it turns out that Prometheus’ first mission for the android involves traveling outside of Alpha Prime for the first time in his short life to encounter someone like himself in the far reaches of space. The probability of something such as this was very unlikely, and yet it happened. One might even suggest that their kind is much more prominent that previously thought.
If one travels to an unknown planet and spots a deer, then it is likely that the deer is a common species in said planet and therefore they are to encounter them more often. It is also possible that perhaps that first encounter was just a chance encounter unlikely to occur again, but it would be illogical to assume. The same applies for his meeting with Ona; therefore, it is fair to conclude that androids like themselves were common. In spite of this reasoning, Zero was sure it was not so. Ona and he were rare gems in pile of charcoal. Their excellence was exalted and punctuated at the very core of their battle. Faking a fight to the death while, in truth, waiting for the outcome of this war to emerge; their fight was no different than the others –if not greater, with relation to intensity. Their strikes were calculated and lethal, their movements measured. Ona may not view it as such, but the reason they are able to pull off such a convincing fight as theirs was not entirely due to their enhanced nature –but to the fact that they completely trust in one another’s ability to fend off a potentially fatal blow.
Zero lunged forward with his saber for a vertical, downward slash. Ona blocks it with her own sword, keeping the android at bay as she approached him with a question of her own. Model Zero had asked her a reasonable amount of questions. It was only fair that he return the favor, but when it reached his ears he found himself at a loss for words as they maintained the pressure of their weapons pressed against each other. The woman’s orange air fluttered in the sudden breeze and caressed his face as he gazed into her blue eyes. In contrast to her delicate eyes, Zero’s were dark, cold, and calculated, but they were also sincere with something more lurking within. He had already alluded to the purpose of his creation before they began the fight, which implied Ona was looking for something Zero may have omitted. However, there was nothing else the android could possibly elaborate on, except what he had already told her. From the moment Model Zero opened his eyes to the world, he was introduced to his master and told of his purpose. Zero never thought to ask, why does Ivan hate the saiyans so much that he would condemn them to extinction? Unlike Ona, he had suppressed his curiosity and simply followed his orders unconditionally. He had no reason to question his master's orders nor the reason of his creation, it was all straight forward and written down for him.
Before answering, the android took a moment to assess their surroundings. They were completely alone, he made sure of that before revealing his goals. "My sole and only purpose is that which was assigned to me by my master; to bring about the extinction of the saiyan race," he replied, his eyes still locked onto hers before pushing her away. Shoving his saber against her blade, the android would attempt to make her lose her balance so he may strike her across the abdominal area. After that, whether she evaded or took the hit, he would charge in pursuit to continue his assault. "That is why I must stay at my crew's side," he said, stomping his right foot on the ground to as support to propel his nimble body forward. "My intentions must remain hidden from the eyes of my enemy until I obtain the power to fulfill my purpose." As he closes the distance between them, Zero slashes at her. "Otherwise," he continues, "the success of my mission may be compromised."

With their faces so close, each could see the similarities and differences in their respective features. While the color of their eyes and skin differed, the hair that lined their face and the general expressions they wore not matching, it was looking into two androids eyes that one might see the similarity. In those eyes was endless determination and focus, an unwavering stare that promised any words they spoke were true. For that reason Ona questioned nothing he told her and Zero took her words as the truth. While questions remained on both sides the two machines knew it was not information being withheld that led to any confusion. The truth was that both the individuals that they worked for were mysterious individuals in their own rights. Warlock was perhaps more the enigma than the other, but their “masters” were equally secretive.
Blade still pressed to his, Ona listening as he began to answer her question. Like he assumed she had hoped there was more than the answer he had previously given. If she was to be joining his side, should the Saiyan’s somehow win, she did not desire to be going into this new situation blind. Her attentiveness to his forming response sapped some of her focus from their engagement though, the sudden shove from Zero taking her off balance as she is pushed back onto her heels, forced to take a step back to secure her footing. With the android not missing a beat his saber swings inward, aimed to bisect her should it fully connect. Already having taken a step back she forces her backside farther back, up on her heels once more so that the sword barely grazes her. The tip of his saber passes through the armor over her stomach, but that is all. As the leather parts some it reveals part of her stomach, skin the same shade as the rest of her pale complexion.
Moving her shield before her to fend off any follow up strikes she eyes him over the top edge of it. “Admittedly disappointing. I prefer to have more information before entering any situation, but I suppose I will have to make the best of it should I be returning with you.” Knowing she could not simply stand and talk she reengages him, shield still held before her as her other arm lifts up above it, blade angling down towards him. Switching her style for the moment she lances out at him with the sword, stabbing from above the metal circle so that she might attack while keeping her body protected. “Regardless of this outcome, I believe I can assist you with this power you seek. If you will allow me to research you I can explore the difference between our compositions and likely improve us both.” Quite serious, she was unsure if he might allow her such access, but hoping he realized it was in the name of science and nothing more.

Model Zero's saber cuts through her leather armor like butter, but the woman had managed to move back enough to completely evade injury. Not wasting time, the android presses onward, keeping her under constant pressure to defend. All he needed was a single step to impulse his body towards her with blinding speed, faster than any bystander's untrained eye could perceive; although, Ona could surely follow his movements. The android lunged at her with saber in hand, surprised was he though to see his blade creak against her shield. A loud, shrill sound as it grind over it and then passing safely. It appeared that Ona realized she could not readily protect herself against Zero unless she used her shield. That first strike, however, was just the beginning. Model Zero continued to hack and slash at the shield, testing its durability against his blade. However, he was actually using it as an excuse to stay close to her so he may hear Ona express her disappointment. Zero could understand her concern. She had reason to worry, -then again, she worked for a person so secretive as Warlock, it shouldn't bother her to transition into someone slightly less secretive. However, this is where they differed.
Model Zero had no need to learn of his master's reasons, or where their true intentions lie. He was created to serve them and follow them unconditionally despite of the nature of their orders. If he was asked to sacrifice his life for their sake, he would do so in a heartbeat. He had already demonstrated his loyalty by joining this motley crew on Zex's behalf. It was very likely and expected that they would probably die during their voyage; more so, it was likely the android would die as his power-level was still quite tender and his raw skill unseasoned. He could count the times he had received any type of formal training in one hand; everything else was acquired through prodigious talent, and hands-on experience in combat. Certainly, if plunging towards the unknown, Zero would like to be as prepared as he could and make sure that he had done everything he could to optimize the possibility of success, but he was also more than predisposed to jump in without any previous caution. Another misconception was how Ona assumed that Zero was as interested in science as she and Ivan were. The android was built as a soldier -a drone. He was the unit they sent out to field missions, the weapon used in war. Although he definitely possessed the capacity and knowledge to be considered a man of science, his greatest concern was not in the workings of the universe.
On the other hand, if she could promise him the power they searched for, then perhaps is was an option worth venturing. Suddenly, the direction of the battle changes as Ona goes on the offensive. Her shield remained in place over her chest to provide protection as her sword was arched over the edge in a spartan stance. She peered over the shield as she did, maintaining eye contact and watching carefully at the android's movements. Her change in fighting style proved a task to Zero as she made it nearly impossible for him to penetrate her defenses while forcing the android to step back as she attacked. In spite of this change in rhythm, Zero did not falter. He made a point to stay within blade's distance as he dodged and parried her attacks, waiting for an opening and testing the pros and con of her fighting style while they continued to speak. It had just occurred to the android that, perhaps, she might want to learn of his relationship with the two ruler's of the Omega Collection. After-all, if Invictus loses and she's to join him, she would inherit his masters and Ivan was just one of them.
"If you wish to research me, then you must seek clearance with Ivan. If he gives you permission, then I won't protest. With that said, I must mention the fact that I have three masters. Ivan is my creator as previously stated. His goal is to annihilate the saiyan race, and he plans to use me for that purpose. His reasons for doing so I do not know as I do not require that knowledge to perform my duty. I'd say we're quite similar in that regard. Although you don't consider Warlock as your master, you still work for her without knowing of her true intentions. You follow a woman who bases her decisions off some doctrine from a god who's existence you yourself question. My other master, whom I have also mentioned before, is Prometheus Zex. You may know him as the Lord of Alpha Prime, one sector of the Omega Collective -perhaps the largest. His goals I do not know for he is almost as much a mystery as this Warlock you speak of. However, whatever his goals, they are irrelevant. Zex is but a means to an end. He provides Ivan with financial support to conduct his experiments, and he also serves as a hood from which to protect ourselves until I surpass his brother, Wrath. In time, Zex's value will become negligible. He will become unnecessary, and as a result he shall perish. My third master, Arctic, is the Icejin King of Beta Minor, second largest colony of the Omega Collective. Regardless, he also but a mere puppet. His aspirations concern the prosperity of his race. He wishes to put the Icejin race back at the top of the food chain, and he plans to do that by first dethroning Prometheus and taking reign over the Omega Collective as a whole. He provides Ivan with further funds, protection, and serves as an ally for when we strike down Zex. Eventually, he shall also perish and Ivan will remain supreme ruler of the Omega Collective, with me as his sword. This is what you will be walking into Ona. You will pretend to acknowledge them as your master; as a result, you will receive all the funds and means to do whatever you wish without being questioned."

Her new stance gave her the edge for the time being. Shield defending her lithe frame she keeps his strike at bay. Each slash of his saber caused an ear piercing screech to cry out across the rooftop, his blade having no change of sliding past the metal barrier with Ona controlling it. Again and again she only need shift the shield slightly to intercept his next strike, perfectly blocking each attempt to hit her. Part of her knew he was not giving it his all, no need to throw one hundred percent of his skill at her as their fight was not a true one. In return she does the same, her stabbing blade not as precise as it might be if she was truly seeking to damage or defeat him. Their proximity allowed for their conversation to continue, Zero revealing quite a bit of information about his multiple masters, much to her dismay.
Prometheus Zex and Arctic were both known to her, the android having plenty of information on the rulers of the well charted Omega Collective. Her data banks also contained information on King Tsuyo and Grand Elder Pitka of Namek. For her it was easy to obtain so much information on countless individuals, another aspect of her advanced mind that the Church took full advantage of. All reports and information gathered by the organization was in one way or another brought to her so that she could take it in and record it. Now, that information was not necessarily freely given out to anyone that asked, but it was there should she and the other Cardinals need it. That being said she was not very pleased with the prospect of both powerful individuals being Zero’s masters in addition to this Ivan. Prometheus Zex and Arctic were neighbors, but not the friendliest of ones. The Icejin had moved to the Omega Collective simply to try and take the territory from the other alien. So far that had been a stalemate and Zero’s creator Ivan was playing both sides.
More disturbing was the claim that they planned to remove them both when their usefulness had come to an end. Zero’s power was impressive, but he was far from being able to eliminate either of those two parties. Such a feat was not impossible as there were a few fighters on Mor this day that could do so. What bothered her most was how simple he made it sound to eliminate those they no longer needed. She understood of course, having removed others in the past when she no longer required them, but where did this leave her if she was to return with him? After her usefulness was used up might she be the next target for them?
“Is that to be my fate when this Ivan sees no more benefit in my existence?” To emphasize the seriousness behind the question she smacks his neck strike aside some with her shield. Her blade does not lance in to stab though as it had during her previous blocks. Instead two bright blue beams burst forth from her eyes. So quick was the attack Zero would have little time to react before the twin eye lasers would strike him in the center of his chest. Upon impact they detonate, the explosion most likely enough to send him tumbling backwards.

It happened in an instant, though he wasn't sure what had occurred. His chest burst before him as a flash of light sparked through her blue eyes. Momentarily after, something detonated over his chest, sending him sprawling back. He may had been airborne for milliseconds before he was rolling across the rooftop. A single stone protruding from the ground served to stop his trajectory, forcing him to an abrupt halt. The android lay there, baffled and confused, staring at the woman from afar with her blazing cold and calculated eyes. Something had set her off and he was not quite sure why. Studying her composure and the blade that rest readily beside her, Ona's demeanor resembled that of an angered human. Soon enough, Zero recollected the fleeting moments between their spar and the explosion. They had been expertly exchanging thrusts of the blade, whistling through the air as he explained his different masters to her. “Is that to be my fate when this Ivan sees no more benefit in my existence?” the woman barked, parrying Zero's last attack violently with her buckler shield. Zero's saber was pushed aside, leaving the android wide open. He would have moved away, but the words which she spout had stilled his mind. He stood there, as if still processing what had been said and then he saw the gleam in her eyes.
Steam rose from his exposed chest. Zero had witnessed this type of attack once before. Ona's eye beams had torn through the fabric of Zero's black jumpsuit and singed the skin which had been hiding underneath. He pulled himself back up with saber in hand. His gaze rose to meet hers. Due to the increased distance between them, he spoke louder as so he may be heard, but there was no one around who could possibly overhear their conversation anyway. Anything he may say would be muffled by the sound of war surrounding them. All of their comrades and enemies were too preoccupied with each other to pay any mind to their distant conversation. "If you pose any threat to Ivan, then yes, it shall be your fate." He spoke genuinely and boldly. He did not intend to sugarcoat the truth. Ona was also susceptible to perish by the word of his masters, but only if the word is spoken. "Ivan views Prometheus Zex and Arctic as obstacles; after all, there can only be one ruler. If you consider yourself an obstacle to Ivan in any way, then it would be best to cut our ties now. However, you are not a threat to my master. Your views don't contradict his and you have no desire but to pursue your own curiosity in the name of science. I think you and Ivan would become very good allies."

Smoke rose from the other androids chest as her cool blue eyes zeroed in on him. It was not anger that had provoked the response, but Ona desiring to make a statement. She had no intention of taking any stance against Ivan if she was to return with Zero. There was no advantage to crossing the scientist whether she could eliminate him or now. The blast to his chest was to show that she was no obstacle to be brushed over, not an item that his master would own. Instead she would be an ally, one with the same views and desires. If this Ivan was truly a scientist then the du would get along just fine. Her research might even compliment his should they spend time working together. This was all hypothetical of course, for the much more likely scenario was that the blonde haired android would be remaining on Mement Mor.
“There will be no threat to Ivan or any others you ally yourself with. I will not allow any threats to my own person either. Upon returning I will make sure that this is understood, that our relationship is to be one fruitful to bother parties. If that is understood and accepted then I foresee no problem between us. This whole scenario is based on the slight chance we will be returning to Alpha Prime.”
As if her words had been the cue Ona’s sensors hum with new life as a fountain of power bursts forth not that far away. Although her eyes did not widen like someone caught by surprise she does glance over to see the growing explosion of energy that came from the direction of Invictus. Even her advanced sensors could not distinguish anything beyond the explosion itself. All One was able to tell was that the energy belonged to Ninjin Hattori, how he had amassed so much power out of nowhere was undeterminable at this time. What was quite clear was the wave of energy traveling towards the pair. Turning on her heel she takes to the air without a word, leaving Zero to save himself. Warning him was never a thought that crossed her mind as an android such as himself was expected to be aware of his surroundings and the approaching wave of energy.

Slight chance indeed. Zero was about to reply to his fellow android, but their attention was immediately seized by the sudden burst of energy not too far away. His scouter readings went off the charts as it calculated the ever-growing power of the man Zero now knew to be Ninjin Hattori. The origin of this new found power was unknown and it baffled the android that they could still emanate such strength. It seemed Zero was always learning about these saiyans. It was almost as if they were the ultimate warriors, and yet Ivan expected the android to annihilate them. Despite fighting Ona, the android had been paying close attention to the neighboring battle. He viewed the fight between Invictus and the saiyans as a simulation of what it would look like to nearly realize the purpose of his creation. He was Invictus, and the saiyans embodied the few who would harness the strength to stand up to him, the ones capable of striking him down and ruining Ivan's plans. The select few who reached strength beyond measure. How many more? He thought. How many more saiyans like Ninjin and Conri exist? If he could locate them, isolate and eradicate them one by one, the rest of the saiyan race would be left in shambles. At last, that made one less for him to hunt down, and one more reason as to why he would most likely join the Universal Church of One. The super saiyan erupts like a star and casts a massive wave of energy that breaks down everything it touches into sub-particles.
Ona wasted no time in retreating as she took to the skies. Zero moved soon after. In just moments, the rooftops in which they fought would be no more and if he remained he would also be destroyed. The android did not have the ability to fly. Zex had expressed this concern to Ivan the last time the scientist gave the lord a visit and since then Ivan had been working on a float system. Regardless, it was difficult to develope something which would allow the android to move fast while maintaining his fundamental design. They needed something small that did not hinder his fighting ability, but fast enough so flight may actually be useful and not a simple gimmick. With that said, his legs were quite powerful; he only required a single impulse from the shattering rooftop to propel his body miles away. To the untrained eye, it would appear as though he had teleported from one spot to another, but his leaps were simply that powerful. It was this kind of speed, if not more, which would be necessary to escape a blast of that magnitude despite their head start. Any surrounding sound would be drowned and muffled by the overwhelming roar of Ninjin's explosion. Even the crumbling buildings and skyscrapers seemed to collapse silently -if not, completely vanish. The ends of the android's golden hair burn and disintegrate, as was the intense heat emanating from the attack.

Zero was undeniably fast for a creature without the ability to take to the skies. Although his equivalent in terms of power Ona currently had the speed advantage. The male androids leaping escape from the crumbling city was sufficient in terms of saving himself from obliteration, but the Cardinal’s chosen method gave her the advantage as she steadily pulled ahead. While Zero leapt into the air to propel himself she flew in a straight line, the excess height the male achieved taking away from his overall speed as time was needed to ascend and descend. Ona instead traveled parallel with the ground below, the orange hair android pulling away from her blonde counterpart. While the tips of his hair smoked from the energy that trailed him, hers fluttered in the wind as she flew.
Before long and without incident the pair arrives at the outskirts of what was once the city of Mori. While they had escaped any significant harm the structures and streets of the city would not have been so lucky. All that remained was a husk of what the magnificent city had once been. Any other Cardinal might have found sadness with such an event, Ona expressed nothing beyond curiosity. Knowing she was safe her eyes shift back to the epicenter of the blast, the android running calculations in her head to discover the exact multiple of the explosion compared to Ninjin Hattori’s last known power level. Such a sudden burst of power in a creature already at such a heightened state was unprecedented in her data banks. For all she knew the Saiyan Prince had achieved some higher form of power or displayed a special technique. She wanted to know, her focus so diverted that she didn’t even seem to notice Zero had arrived with her. Then again, she might have simply had no reason to address him yet, her mind focused elsewhere for a moment.

Arriving to the outskirts of what was once the city of Mor, the android joins Ona's gaze back to the demolished buildings and leveled surface. Zero was beginning to regret putting his faith on the saiyans. It was likely that he would be joining the Universal Church of One after all. It served him right too. The saiyans were known for being unpredictable, selfish, and reckless beings. Ninjin Hattori paid the ultimate price, but at what cost? If Zero were any less capable, he would have vanished along with the city, he could only imagine the casualties the saiyan had caused with his stunt. The citizens of Mor would be the only ones to escape complete harm due to Invictus' foresight. The android surveyed the remains in search of survivors. The first energy signature he detected was, of course, from Invictus himself. The massive power of the saiyan's explosion must have done a great deal of damage to the cardinal, but he was still standing strong with a power level none of them could hope to surpass in the present. He could sense most of his comrades along with the other cardinals who seemed to have been a safe distance away from the blast or managed to escape it as he and Ona had. Some of them were doing better than others. Kurosanai's energy signature was quite weak, it did not appear he would survive much longer, meaning that Sebastian would continue to draw breath; regardless, whether they survive or not was irrelevant, the only ones capable of doing anything were the super saiyans and one of them has self-destructed.
Finally, he detected the much fainter Conri Lane who seemed to be on the brink of death. Being at the center of this war along with Ninjin, he took on the full brunt of the reckless saiyan's explosion. To think they would sacrifice the lives of their comrades so easily -then again, Zero sold them out from the beginning. On the other hand, Zero had no personal bonds or attachments as they did, which spoke volumes about their careless behavior and 'friendship'. Everything else fell short when it concerned their pride and bloodlust. After finally assessing the current situation of things, he turned to face Ona, accepting his defeat. That is, until he felt a shift in the air. Turning back towards the flattened land and blackened skies, Conri Lane's power emerged once more, even more fierce than before. Zero, flabbergasted, watched in awe as the saiyan continued to surpass his limits. How? He thought. It was staring at him in the face, time and time again, the power Ivan sought for him to grasp and yet he could not comprehend how one could harness power out of thin air. Perhaps this "Aon" was on their side instead, he joked.
In the end, hope was refurbished and Zero turned to Ona with a completely new demeanor. His saber slashed at the air, signaling that he was prepared to continue their fight as soon as she gave the word. With the weakened Invictus and Conri's miraculous power, it appeared that Ninjin's sacrifice was not in vain. Zero wondered whether it was planned, he wondered how something such as this was possible; but although he would much prefer observe the battle from a remote location, he would have to dismiss his curiosity for the sake of the mission. "It appears this isn't quite over just yet."

As the signatures became readable once more Ona saw the aftermath as clearly as if she had been watching the fight. Ninjin Hattori was gone along with a good portion of the city. Invictus had lived through the powerful blast and faired quite well. Conri Lane was all but finished. As she had predicted the Saiyan pair, Super Saiyan or not, could not stop the Cardinal. Her calculations had been based on the numbers before her and considering Invictus had just survived that…there was nothing the other Saiyan could do to stop him. Even if the armor clad warrior had been weakened Conri Lane was far weaker. About to declare Zero surrender, to better make a case for his assimilation into the Church, Ona pauses as the blue haired Saiyan’s signature spikes.
Senzu Bean, the only solution. Having studied Earth and its histories enough, the android was well aware of the magical plant that produced beans with tremendous healing power. Personally she had looked little into the plant in terms of how it worked, for she learned early on it had no such effect on her kind. The Saiyan must have been holding onto one for such an occasion. Smarter than expected Ona had to admit, the warrior race not known for their foresight. After all, Ninjin Hattori had just blown himself up with his friends well within the blast radius. It seemed her future was not so certain.
“Agreed, shall we continue?” Tossing a few strands of orange hair from her face the Cardinal shifts into a stance she took before, sword arm raised up above her with her shield covering the front of her body. Lifting her right foot she steps over the left as she begins to move in a circle around the other android. So far she had revealed little of the abilities she possessed in terms of combat and she preferred to keep it that way. There was a degree of trust between the two, but any creature whether biological or artificial that had complete trust in another was a fool. Such a thing as complete trust was an impossible notion. Stabbing towards the top of his chest with her sabre, Ona reengages.
