Ona instantly adopted the stance she had donned previously whilst they stood on the rooftop of the now desecrated city. There was little difference between then and now except the change in their surroundings. Before, they stood above solid plates of concrete, and now their footsteps embossed on the ravaged soil remains of Ninjin Hattori’s explosion. Any plant life and grass that escaped the blast radius was flattened and blown away by the sheer force of its shockwave, leaving nothing but barren land miles-wide. The soil was dry and perhaps infertile for several years. If the Cardinals survive, they may reconstruct the city, but it would never again return to its former glory.
She orbits Zero one step at a time with her shield held over the chest and sword readied beside her. Her defense was flawless. Zero could commence his assault, but it would be difficult to penetrate her buckler shield. The moment he’d attack, she would block seamlessly and counter with her sword at the exposed android. He watched her movements carefully, remaining still in the center as he thought back to the eye-beam she revealed; that which tore through the fabric on his chest. The android had grown curious. What other peculiar abilities did she possess? He would have liked to unravel the woman and expose her secrets so he may learn everything which she hid from his eyes, but to force her to unfold them he would have to disclose his own. That was something he was not willing to do. Not yet. Just in case. The cloud of doubt that muffled their perception of him was an advantage he may need in the near future.
He thought about his pistol. Ona had already learned of his gun. It was the first thing he used before the outbreak. The sound of his bullet was the instigator that broke the stillness of the air and brought the opposite forces to clash. He had abstained from using it as they were not truly fighting, but it might be necessary to push her a step further.
Suddenly, in that instant, Ona’s feet shifted on the soil and she charged for the android. Simultaneously, Zero swerved, turning on his heels to face her and raised his saber to intercept her sword. She lunged, seeking to purge through his exposed flesh and skin. In that first micro-instant, as his saber moves out vertically to meet hers, his body veers slightly to the right and his free hand reaches for the holster. Immediately after, as her sword makes contact with his saber, the blades screech against each other whilst he pushes it towards the left, away from his body. Finally, Zero would find himself inside Ona’s personal space with her sword redirected behind him and shield probably against his chest, the android releases his pistol and shoots her right foot.
From his pistol, compact bullets of energy erupt, certain to sever almost any material. Zero aimed at her foot as a means to slightly handicap her and force her to reveal her secrets. Furthermore, it would appear very far‘fetched if they returned unscathed from their battle.

Clashing with her male counterpart as she had done several times before their relocation, Ona was expecting the parry of her blade. The lunge was not a masked attempt to deliver another strike or so lightning fast that his weapon would be unable of intercepting it. The attack was simply meant to allow them to reengage. In all reality it was unlikely that any of the other Cardinal’s were truly paying attention to what the androids might be doing, but the chance did remain no matter how slim it may be. With their signatures unreadable and their bodies so far displaced from the center of the city due to the blast, they were most likely all but forgotten about. Even so, Ona was not one to take risks and she knew Zero was the same.
Stepping in her thin blade stabs in for his head and chest, his saber intercepting as expected. What was not completely expected was his continued movement forward to close the distance between them. Now within her reach, pressed up to her shield. Her reaction was to shove him back with the metal buckler as she had done before. All worked well, but not before his own perfectly executed counter attack took place.
With him not having used his pistol since the initiation of their combat she had not foreseen him using it again, especially when this close. Normally such a weapon was used for the advantage in range it provided as trying to target her while pressed to her shield would prove at the very least, inconvenient. Targeting her foot was another matter, only a slight shift in his arm to shoot downward at the extremity compared to targeting her center mass.
Had she been able to feel pain in the normal sense Ona would have let out a howl as the bullet easily rips through the leather boot she wore and almost as easily through her foot beneath. The projectiles from his pistol travelled fast, but not beyond the reaction time both androids were capable of. The first bullet struck home and the second nicked the side of her foot, but the third struck the dirt alone. With her foot shifted back to remove it from the bullets path her shield wielding arm shoves forward to shove him away from her.
With the small gap between them Ona tosses her blade into the air above her, seemingly discarding the weapon. She understood what he was doing, trying to push her a bit farther so that she could not so casually engage him. Very well, the Cardinal would play along for now. As her blade floats higher above her, the androids now empty hands reaches forward as if seeking to grab a hold of him. His form well out of range of any grapple she instead reveals a new technique.
The only warning to the actual attack was a slightly brighter glow of the blue lines on her forearm before electrical energy matching that hue arcs forth from her fingertips. Closely resembling lightning bolts, although on a smaller scale, the bolts were no less potent than their larger cousins. Such concentrated electrical energy was effective against man and machine, one of the reasons she found it so useful. And after the attack was complete, her hand would deftly snatch her blade from the air as it came back down towards her extended arm.

His execution was perfect. The first bullet hit it's mark and tore through her foot, although the following bullets hit the dirt as she moved her foot back and jammed her shield against his chest. The android stumbled back, catching himself and jumping to a safe distance as she tossed her blade into the air. Confused, Zero shift his body so the right side was closer to her and his saber covered most of his body. His other hand hid behind him with pistol ready in case it needed to be used. If she would disarm herself so readily, she was definitely up to something. Ona reached out to him with her outstretched arm. It was only an instant, but the blue markings on her arm glowed ever so slightly before bolts of lightning erupt from her fingertips and whip at the android. Zero intercepted the attack with his saber. His body was already behind the weapon, so he only needed to slightly readjust the angle to properly meet Ona's attack. However, electricity was sporadic and flowing. It never stands still. The currents traveled from sword to hand and electrifies his entire body. Zero had witnessed this kind of attack various times. He had vivid memories of his fight against Conri Lane, not long after he became champion. The android had allowed his curiosity to get the best of him and allowed the blue-haired saiyan to charge his attack. The android was devastated in an instant, and the man promptly after walked away, leaving the laboratory in shambles.
However, back then, he was ill prepared. He was stronger now in both mind and body. He braved through the currents and clenched his teeth. Before long, Zero managed to swing his blade to the side and redirect the lightning bolt towards the ground. Ona's attack left a bit of an after-taste. The android's eyes sparked with spurring residue as he set his eyes on her once more. He grins. "You have interesting abilities," he praised. He wondered whether she had installed them onto herself. Ivan provided most -if not all- of Zero's weapons and techniques. The android was simply a platform that uses them, but the scientist dresses him up as he sees fit. He looks at her arm. The strange markings, along with her orange hair and blue eyes, they were one of the first things he noticed upon meeting her. "I've been meaning to ask," he started. His position had not changed since her attack. After deflecting the lightning bolt, he centered the blade before him again to remain defended. His pistol held firmly behind his lithe frame, and steam rose from the etches of his armor and exposed skin. "May I ask? What are those markings on your arm?"

Energy arced from her hand only to connect with his blade. While the weapon caught the charged energy it did not deflect it in full, the attack channeling down the length of the blade and into the androids arm. Snatching her blade from the air she could see the electricity dancing along his fame as it worked its way over his person and down into the dirt at his feet. Through it all Zero grits his teeth and bears it. Impressive, such a technique usually brought androids to their knees, but as she had stated herself the two of them were not your average machines. Blue eyes narrowing some as for the moment she had been bested, her foot sporting a hole while he had only suffered a shock. His question though had what might almost be a playful smile taking shape on her thin blue lips.
“If you wish to know come closer, I can show you.” If he wanted to learn more about her he was going to have to risk trusting her some. Not exactly a dangerous bet considering the agreement they had already come too, but she was an enigma for the most part. His previous questions had received several short answers with no real detail and he had yet to see many techniques from the Cardinal. Almost everything in her arsenal, including her mind had been altered by her own hands. Zero’s improvements and equipment were a result of his Master’s hands. Ona was much more for being her own master, not truly belonging to anyone other than herself. A strange concept too many as she was an artificial being created by someone or something.
Holding her ground she retakes her initial stance, sword raised and shield in front of her body to protect it. He could comply or attack again, the choice was his. if it was the latter she was not to be surprised by that pistol of his again, the sensors in her foot a constant reminder of the error.

Steam rose off the seams of his clothing, along with residual currents of electricity crackling around his metallic body parts. His eyes blurred slightly, but the state of inactivity they had entered gave him the opportunity to refocus. The android narrows his eyes for clarity and before long the blur subsided. His body remained still and stagnant, not a muscle moved as he gazed at the markings on her arms. His body hidden behind the sharp blade of his saber, and pistol tucked behind him with fingers dancing around the trigger. The wind blows to the left and his long golden hair follows in a tranquil wave. “If you wish to know come closer, I can show you.” She said. The words rang through his mind. The android was at a loss, thinking and thinking about his thinking. To make such a request amidst the edge of war was just... His scouter reevaluated the position and condition of his allies and potential enemies. There was nobody around to observe. What he was about to do would defy all logic and tactics for battle; then again, they weren't truly fighting, they were just acting. Finally, Zero lower's his saber, promptly twirling the handle in his fingers, he makes the saber rotate and fall into its short electronic scabbard. It was no longer than a knife, as it stored and reconstructed the data which molds his blade.
Next, he stows away his pistol back in its holster and stands, silently observing the woman as if contemplating the sanity of his decision. It was most probably -definitely- a trap, yet the android was letting his curiosity get the best of him. Although he considered himself a soldier, it was evident that he had the capabilities and properties of a scholar. Perhaps that was programmed into him, a clue to their creation, or a hint of the past. Ona was cautious with sword and shield up high; regardless, the android approached her unarmed. He would stop at arm's distance and look straight into her blue eyes with his calculated and stern expression. Maybe she wanted payback for the shot to her foot? He thought. With that said, Zero wasn't completely defenseless, he was not senile. The android was prepared to summon his barrier in the nick of time. Question was, would he have time to execute his backup plan?

It appeared Zero was more curious than might have been good for him. The android lowered his sword before sliding it back into the scabbard at his side. Next came the pistol, a twirl to accentuate the action as it slides into its holster. Had this been any other situation Zero would have been proven fool, but then again in any situation in which the two did not have a deal between them such an action would not have been taken by the android. He was willing to let her show him exactly what the lines on her arm were for. Working with so many androids among other advanced technology the Cardinal had needed a way to easily integrate with them, a way for her to connect to them directly so that she could alter them to her will. The lines on her hand were a hint at just how she had done that and Zero was about to find out exactly how it worked.
With her “foe” stepping within arm’s reach Ona nods her approval. “You may ask me to stop at anytime and I shall cease.” That small direction given she leans forward slightly, more weight on her undamaged foot than the other, as her flat palm presses to the androids chest. With her hand in place the lines on her arms turn out to be much more than lines as blue tendrils of what looked like wire lifted from her skin. Taking on the appearance of wire, but made of Ki the energy tendrils slide down past her hand and towards his chest. Without any further warning the press to his body and start to force their way into his form. If he were to allow the connection to actually take place there would be a slight sting in the flesh that covered his torso, but that was all as the tendrils began to seek out something with which they could connect. As long as Zero gave no order to stop the process would continue even as Ona’s technique struggled to find the mechanical core she had assumed was there.
Zero was not like any android she had ever interacted with, there seemed to be more organic tissue in him than artificial components. Had she been a being of emotion and expression her brow would have raised at the discovery, but her face remained perfectly still. There was much more to this android than met the eye. All of this was pending on his lack of resistance, the information only discovered if she was allowed to proceed.

Ona nods at him, indicating that he only need speak if he wished for her to stop. Zero didn't answer, his stillness was his vestige for her to continue. The woman approached him, pressing her palm firmly on his exposed chest. The glowing markings on her skin peeled off slightly. Zero's expression remained stoic, although one might notice the ever so meager shift in his eyes as the tendril-like wires swerved over her arm, drawing near his chest. The voice of reason clogged at his throat, stopping him from giving the order of cessation. The wires promptly press on the android's chest, sinking their way in like parasites. Again, the urge to stop screamed, but the android stilled that compulsion. His curiosity was greater, and perhaps, that would be his undoing one day. It was feasibly the only thing he had inherited from his creator, that unquenchable thirst for the unknown; or perhaps it was that deep desire for something else which would not dare reach his lips. Ivan had already told him everything he needed to know from the day he had been activated. "Who are you...?"
"I am your master."
"Who am I?"
"My creation." Model Zero opens his eyes promptly after realizing he had closed them. He was still on Mement Mor, in the outskirts of a desecrated city, and Ona's hands were still pressed on his chest. Unbeknownst to the android, the woman's tendrils would tap onto his master's secrets, searching for a core they would never find. He was his creation, Ivan's creation. He has no past, and his future is as he see's fit. Those were the first words of his god, the first social being he had encountered from the first moment his eyes opened in a cognitive trance. The first time he assimilated information and understood his surroundings. Zero was not a live being, the scientist told him, he was a machine manufactured by the gears of war and change. He felt no pain, emotion, or desire. He was the perfect soldier meant to further the lives of those who lived. By the time he disappears, there would be nothing left of his remains. You could say, he doesn't even exist... Perhaps a minute had passed by now and the android had not detected any change. The android looked into Ona's blue eyes for any signs, but her facial expressions were as stern and calculated as his own. That was the disadvantage of interacting with others like his own, he could not read them like simple mortals. "Is something wrong?" he asked.

From the moment she had laid eyes upon Zero her curiosity had been peaked. To come across such a powerful android that she had no knowledge on was few and far between in this world. Instantly the desire to study him had arisen within the Cardinal and throughout their continued interaction that desire had not diminished. It was nothing more than a scientific drive to study and discover how similar or far apart she might be from him, but she felt it deep within her. Her request to show him what the lines on her forearm did had been to help satisfy the scientific part of her mind and thankfully he had complied. With the blue tendrils of energy digging into his chest she had expected to discover how it was that he was constructed yet what she fond was far more interesting than any mechanical device.
Instead of wire and metal she found flesh….mostly flesh and tissue. There were additions here and there, but an overwhelming amount of organic tissue. Face as stoic as ever her mind ran over the information countless times behind those soft blue eyes of hers, trying to compute exactly what type of machine he was. Ultimately the answer was simply, he wasn’t a machine, not in the traditional sense. Normally that would have been a simply thing to distinguish, but based on what he had told her and what he seemed to believe about himself the answer was not a straight forward one. From the outside and his own words, all screamed android while his physical make up pointed towards something much more organic. That was not to say there was no hint of technological enhancement within him it was just nothing compared to her construction.
“You are…not as I expected. From the very moment we began this staged fight you claimed to be an android and I had no reason to doubt you. Now, finally having been able to look within your structure I must ask, what are you? Where I should find a core or the wires that power your systems I find an abundance of organic tissue. Explain this.” It wasn’t confusion in her voice, but it was obvious that she did not know what she was looking at yet. Of course with his past he may be even more confused than her by the revelation, yet she looked to him for answers. Blinking once the Cardinal’s soft blue orbs rest on his as if looking for the answer within them.

"What?" Is what the android wanted to say, but the words reached no further than the barriers of his mind. All he offered the woman as a response was a blank gaze. He didn't know Ona had a sense of humor installed into her processor, she had seemed so stoic and bland. However, her expression was not of a clown. She was as serious as one could be, he could sense her confusion although there were no indications. The claim that he possessed an abundance of organic tissue was news to him. Ivan hold told the android that he was a machine. His opponents couldn't sense his presence, and he can't manipulate ki the way biological creatures did. That was why Ivan had created self-sustained weapons like the pistol and saber, which supplied themselves with energy. That was why he designed the jewel on his forehead, to resonate with the weapons and increase their power as the android's power grew as well. The reason he doesn't tire, sleep, eat, hate, or smile, it was because the scientist had created him in the laboratory. He was artificial intelligence. A robot. The ideal soldier that would revolutionize war and conflict between mortal individuals. No more. Living beings would never need to sacrifice their mortality. Instead, they would send Zero to fight. If he failed, he would be reconstructed.
Model Zero, stoic and composed, looked at the woman with utter silence before finally gathering a response. "You're mistaken," he said. "I am an android. My master created me in his laboratory about a year ago. I do not tire, feel pain, or emotion. Perhaps, Ivan can diagnose you for any imperfections once we return to the Omega Collective."

“The imperfections do not lie within me Zero.” Her tone did not shift in the slightest, her expression still as stoic as it had been before. Ona possessed none of the insignificant emotions that biological creatures suffered. She could be told she was wrong or even that she was inferior to another and it had no power to anger her. The facts remained that she was right and that her being as a whole was superior to any other. Not in terms of power, but construction. The organic tissue that existed within the “android” across from her was a weakness. Living cells like that of the tissues that inhabited Conri Lane, Ninjin Hattori, or any other of the allies that had arrived with Zero. Scientific curiosity persuaded her to take him right here and now so that she could dissect him and learn what he truly was. Careful calculations pointed a different direction, return with him and interrogate this Ivan so see what he knew first. This man or whatever he was had created Zero and therefore knew his secrets even if the android did not.
Blinking once, the movement having nothing to do with what was going on behind those eyes as it was part of her natural attempt to appear like others, she removes her tendrils from his chest. There was much more to learn, but this was neither the time nor the place. Destruction loomed about them no matter the outcome of the fight that raged closer to the center of the city. Each of those fighters had the power to bring about planetary destruction if such means were necessary. The Saiyan no doubt planned to destroy the Church and if Invicitus was to somehow lose he would never let the planet fall into such filthy hands. With most of the population already evacuated or in route the loss of life would be minimal. Ona would not be counted among them.
“It seems there is much for me to discover about you Zero and perhaps even more for you to discover about yourself.” Deciding it was a mute point to press for information now the Cardinal takes several steps back. “Shall we continue this ruse?”

The android was perplexed as to the implications of her words as the woman ejected her tendrils from his chest. Was she insinuating that he was imperfect? Impossible, he thought. The ringlets of wire ebb back into her arm, resuming the suggested image of a tattoo. Zero conceded. Apparently, he would not learn of the marking's origin. He had acquired a general idea of what their purpose might pertain, but there was no way of knowing. If the tendrils were used to probe for the inner composition of diverse systems, then she might want to work on the bugs before relying on them. Ivan had become a renowned scientist throughout his career and everything he had told the android had been proven through personal experience. He could not remember his past because there was none to remember. He could not feel emotions or sensations because he was not alive. Those biological structures were merely imitated through engineering. He could detect disturbances just as Ona had when his bullet pierced through her foot; otherwise, she would have been unaware of the rupture. He had eyes, like her, with which to perceive his surroundings, a voice to interact with them, feet to approach them, arms to change them.
The woman steps away from the android, proposing to continue their charade. Zero nods and unsheathes his saber once more. The green blade buzzes back to life as he pulls it out of its small scabbard. Particle-size bits of energy conglomerate as he wields the saber in his hand to form the sharp, translucent edge. Zero rests his hand on his chest, discovering that it had remained as though nothing had occurred. The woman's tendrils were so thin and precise, the holes it formed to penetrate his body were too small for any fluids to enter or escape his systems. Watching Ona carefully, Zero reaches for his pistol, unclipping it from its holster. Ona had a shield and sword to aid her in battle, while Zero only possessed his saber, it would even things out a bit more if he had his gun as a distraction. There was no gain in trying to make the android forget about his extra weapon as she would never allow him to pull off another stunt like before. Her foot would be the first and last his bullets would ever touch, he thought.
His eyes never cease to leave the woman's visage, though his mind was wondering across the battlefield of the desecrated city. Reading the numbers on his scouter lens, he could make a renewed assessment of what had occurred in a bit more detail than he would while engaged in battle. Conri Lane and Invictus were still fighting, they were the only real fight whose outcome would affect their small war, so of course the android would probe theirs first. Moving on, there were two battles in the outskirts of the city remains which seemed as though they were about to end. At first, Zero thought about Wrath, but that was impossible. Wrath would never leave Zex's side, especially to help some castaways the lord sent out to die. It appeared that Kurosanai had untapped some kind of hidden power, similar to the saiyans, and was now on the verge of carrying out his task of laying down Sebastian's life. What he assumed was Mr. Watson was also much more powerful than the green man Invictus had sent forced on him, though it seemed the woman that came with Ninjin had passed away. It would not be long before Mr. Watson and Kurosanai were done; if they finished before Conri and approached them, Ona and Zero would have to make a decision sooner than later. Join the church or join Zex? Zero was sure the thought must have occurred to Ona already.
Confirming the current state of war, Zero lunges forward with gun and sword in hand. Three bullets of compressed energy would exhaust from his pistol as he approached her. Each of them were as potent as the last and Ona would have to think long and hard before dodging them as Model Zero sought to strike her with his saber promptly after the last bullet.

As advanced as Zero seemed to be he appeared blind to his own Master’s deceptions. A father or creator often had such power over their offspring, their word carrying more weight than any others. There seemed to be no love in this android for his creator, but plenty of respect and obedience. Such an odd curiosity considering what she had just learned about him and the organic material that was within his body. Ona was in one way his sister yet in another completely unrelated. The more she learned about him the more she contemplated returning with him regardless, their untraceable energy signatures allowing them to travel with much more ease than most. Tendrils sliding back into place on her arm Ona would have to wait a bit longer though to decide, the signatures behind her still a factor in her decision.
Meeting his black pools with her blue ones she had no reason to look away, blinking twice. Her eyes had done so in the past, but that was to give the illusion of life, a façade she normally needed to keep up when around other organic beings. Many were unsettled by her presence, the artificial life she possessed easy to classify as unnatural by many. With him there was no reason though for they both understood what the other was, well at least to the extent in which they felt comfortable with each other. Still it was something she had grown so used to the simple actions remained. Watching him as he draws his two weapons the Cardinal shifts back into the stance she had often taken before, sword lifted up and shield presented before her.
When he fired she was ready, his pistol of course no longer possessing any sort of surprise advantage. All three projectiles were easily blocked by the metal circle, the enhanced material strong enough to deflect them with little damage. As his blade came in she spins some to intercept it, slapping it aside before they resume their dance. Sword clashed against saber as they fought, both waiting for the fights around them to finish so that their own fates might be decided. Wounded foot or not Ona sends the appendage in to try and hook his ankle after several exchanges of their blades, attempting to yank it out from under him to gain the advantage.

As expected, Ona blocked all of Zero's linear projectiles without any consequence. The android's pistol was a powerful and potent weapon, but it was also quite easily avoided when faced against someone of equal or greater strength. When the woman moved her shield to deter the energy bullets, Model Zero lunged in for what appeared like an opening; however, Ona was a formidable opponent exalted by the technology that conceived her. She masterfully evades the edge of his saber, bashing it aside. If they were truly fighting, she might have aimed for his chest instead -and it might have hit. "It seems a Cardinal has passed away," he comments, erroneously referring to the namekian that challenged Mr. Watson. Re-balancing his weight, Model Zero swipes his feet radially, like a compass, with his leading leg acting as a pivot to steer. Having fixed his orientation to face Ona head on, he immediately pulls at the handle of his saber, overcoming the opposing forces with his inhuman strength to slash at her. Ona intercepts that one as well. One after the other, the two androids clash and counter their swords in wait for the final apex of this war. Such event would reveal their fates; shall Zero become a member of the Universal Church of One, or will Ona be absorbed into what is to be Zero's Requiem.
The more he thought about it, the more curious the android had become. Could this Aon really possess so much power? Does he even exist? He must, the android thought. The presence of a god may defy the laws that science has derived from nature, but Invictus was living proof of the power that this deity bestowed upon his followers. The android's curiosity may even lead him into pursuing this Warlock so he may learn and possibly acquire this power they speak of. The UCOO was not far from Ivan's objective, and so the android sensed that collaboration was a probable outcome, regardless of how this war would end. Then again, ironically enough, two super saiyans have been reawakened this evening. Could Aon have turned his back on the Cardinals? Or, perhaps, the saiyans had a god of their own? Maybe... there wasn't a god to begin with... It was truly a difficult concept to grasp. Looking at Ona, they were both probably created by mortals inferior to themselves. If a god was he who grants life to its followers, then wasn't Ivan his god? If so, then gods must be imperfect beings -even more so than the various life-forms that span across the universe. With all that said, Ona might benefit more from joining Zero regardless of whether they win or lose. Even if Invictus won, the UCOO had been gravely weakened.
They would have to recruit members powerful enough and dedicated enough to fill in the shoes of the late Cardinals; not to mention, this so called Warlock didn't seem to be present in their moment of need. Furthermore, it had been a while now since Zero had formed an inference that Ivan would be able to identify the woman's owner by simply analyzing the techniques and materials used in her conception. Zero knew that scientists, being as competitive as they are, were quite well aware of each other's work. If Ona's creator was anyone worth knowing -and given her existence, he must be-, then Ivan would no doubt narrow down her search.
Suddenly, as the two androids hack and hew at each other's blades, the adroit woman strikes at Zero's ankles with her injured foot. This was the difference between an android and a living being with flesh; this is -among many others- what made them so superior to biological life-forms all across the universe. The android still couldn't perceive how Ona could possibly implicate that he possessed live tissue. If said statement were true, wouldn't he feel pain from the slit she caused on his neck? Wouldn't his chest burn to every jerking movement he made? Would he not be exhausted by now after using so much energy? Would he not wince as she swept him off his feet with the regal sweep of her metallic foot? Nay. Her claims were unfounded, baseless, unintelligible. With so much proof and consistent outcomes affirming Ivan's words, and therefore, Zero's beliefs, how could she possibly think the android would acknowledge her supposition? How, when his identity has been reinforced and confirmed time and time again with every encounter he has made other social entities.
Model Zero, having been swept off his feet, was now falling. This was a very vulnerable situation as he dropped to the ground defenselessly. Losing his footing, he was unable to properly move and evade incoming attacks, leaving him completely tangible to her sword. Immediately, as he fell, the crystal gem on his forehead began to resonate a bright teal hue as his body was enveloped by a thin protective barrier that temporarily increases his durability by 1.5x his power level. If Ona was perceptive enough, she might notice the slight change, although the light on his gem would soon fade after activation. Thanks to the new gimmick Ivan had installed onto the android before their voyage, any damage inflicted while the technique was active would be gravely reduced by the thin barrier. In that moment, he was prepared to receive anything she might throw at him, but at the same time he was prepared to counter it if possible. Placing his left hand on the ground -with gun and all- to stop his fall, the android bends his elbow, as an effort to absorb the shock and then push back up like a spring while pivoting the lower half of his body into the air with his arm as the fulcrum to his lever-like maneuver.
Finally, once his body hangs vertically above his supporting arm, one flick of the wrist and jerking of the hips would lift his lithe body off the ground and away from Ona. All of this happens in one smooth sequence, taking a total of seconds to perform. Of course, this would all only occur if he was not first and swiftly struck by the woman before he was able to completely execute his acrobatic stunt. Such a tactic demonstrated superb control of his body and unthinkable arm strength despite his ostensibly scrawny figure.

Ona’s assessment was her own and was based on the facts presented before her. Only having known the android for a short while, she was not privy to all the traits that might point in either direction. Based on what she had seen he was no standard android, that term used loosely of course considering how different she was from most. Further study would be need on this, but that was for a later time. Now she needed to focus on their combat until their fates were decided. The Cardinal had no idea how soon that would be.
With her sudden trip executed perfectly she had gained the advantage. Continuing with the façade that was their fight she doesn’t hesitate to blast him as she had before. Both soft blue eyes glow for an instant before twin beams lance out, aiming for his already damaged chest. Timing it with precision only capable of her kind the lasers strike his body just as his hand plants on the ground. Calculating that the blast was enough to knock him back her brow lifts in slight confusion as it seems to do little more than send a wisp of smoke into the air. Her mind racing to figure out what had happened she was quick to discern there was a missing factor. Before the same attack had done noticeable damage, while now it did nothing.
Not having more time to dedicate to the problem she shifts back as he launches into the air. With distance now between them she prepares to lunge in to engage, but suddenly pauses. An uncharacteristic look of surprise dominates the female’s features.
The entire time she had been talking with Model Zero she had been monitoring the fights around them, her sensors actively tracking power levels and the exchanges of blasts between the various parties. Seconds ago Invictus had powered up to double his own strength, the speed enhancing technique something she was familiar with. It was nothing of note really nor was his increase in overall power for charge attacks were known to all and a common tactic used in fights of this caliber. What had the Cardinal pausing was the sudden disappearance of his signature all together. Then she noticed the coordinates of his signature’s last location…deep beneath the planet's crust. What had he done?
A second later the question was answered. Across the entire planet a primordial sounding rumble rips through the air, the ground shaking as if under the assault of a powerful earthquake. The difference was that nothing in the science of plate tectonics had caused this, Mement Mor itself was shaking. Her advanced mind putting it together most likely quicker than others she realized what it meant. Gathering herself as the implausible outcome she meets Zero’s eyes with her own.
“Invictus has chosen to destroy the planet so that it will not fall into enemy hands. We need to evacuate.” Ona would be accompanying Model Zero back to the Omega Collective.

Model Zero was also surprised with the effectiveness of his upgrade. Ivan had outdone himself. Not only did it drastically reduce the damage inflicted by the woman's twin beams, but it also helped him hold his ground. Finishing his acrobatic maneuver, the android descends with his saber in tow, prepared to counter Ona if she were to attempt and strike him again. However, as she turned to pursue him, their attention was promptly robbed by a eerie disturbance in the air. Looking back towards the center of what was once the City of Mor, a gust of powerful winds rippled outwards radially. Because of the great distance, it was nothing but a strong breeze, but it was more like a tornado as his golden hair fluttered frantically. Storm clouds gathered over what appeared as a pillar of blinding light. Conri and Invictus' power signatures descended at an immeasurable velocity towards what the android could only assume was Mement Mor's core. The ground beneath them grumbled and shook violently, threatening to swipe them off their feet. It only took a moment, and perhaps he realized it just as Ona had, but the planet was dying. Just now, it had occurred to the android that the populace had been evacuated. In the entire planet, he could only detect their own signatures. Perhaps, if he had taken note of that fact, he might have anticipated Invictus' intentions. The jewel on his forehead glimmers once more as the thin layer of energy which had been protecting him fades. The technique was powerful, but it was limited by the technology of their age. In spite of this, Zero would no longer find use for that technique as their fight had ended. Ona turned to meet his eyes with her blue pearls and urged that they evacuate. Model Zero nodded and looked out at the horizon. He recalled that the ship had been stationed within the city before it was annihilated; for it to have survived, the android would have to believe a god existed. Regardless, his teammate's power signatures were traveling towards the epicenter. It was likely that they knew something he did not. Model Zero decided he would wait for their conclusion upon arriving to their destination, for his eyes were set elsewhere. "Follow me!" the android adjured as he pressed towards the coast. With their speed, they would arrive to their destination in no time. Just as he had demonstrated before, one leap drove the android several miles away. Peering back, he expected to see Ona flying nearby so they could communicate. Zero spoke, "When we arrive to the ship, I will regard you as my captive to be delivered to Prometheus Zex. It is the only way they would ever concede. My teammates will never agree to spare you otherwise in light of everything you have done and what the Universal Church of One stands for. They would most likely prefer to abandon you and allow your destruction with this planet," he explained. "However, before we evacuate, there's some unfinished business I must attend to." Without another word, the android charges, increasing his velocity as he skids across the vast landscape. As androids, they were but ghosts drifting in the wind. Nobody would detect them or know of Zero's actions -nobody but Ona... [Defense Up! 2/2](Exit. PL.
