In Itan's initial publication, a few chapters were missing in the all important story of Saito Kito. There were stories that helped with details of the plot, but were not a necessary part of the story. Here are those chapters.
In addition to his weights, which follow him constantly –Yes, even when going to the lookout- Saito has outfitted a small building in the Ghetto of Central City where he not only trains, but offers classes himself. That’s right, the new building everyone has been looking at over the past couple months is none other than the recently reopened Crane School, with our main man Saito Kito at the helm. Kit has outfitted this training center with the best technology has to offer. First is a gravity chamber that can enter up to 100 times the earths normal gravity. Add to that the fact that he is still wearing five school busses and the feat becomes even more impressive. Think the gravity is a little much for you? Why not relive your training over and over again in the Simulation 2.0. This contraption transport the user figuratively to their favorite location, and can even allow them to face off against the strongest people they have ever faced. So what did Saito do in his off time? Of course he relived his training with Kaladar and Mr. Popo, only in forty times the Earths normal gravity. Frankly the man lived to train.
When he was not bettering himself however, Saito was teaching. This is how he and I met. Though I am not entirely proud of it, I was at the time a spy for the TSF (Again, we will touch on this later). My job was to find out who Saito was, and if he was a threat. The answer put simply…He was indeed a threat, but not to me. The Crane School focused on the art of self defense, and so although most of the warriors there were not much stronger than the average person, they at least knew how to defend themselves. I on the otherhand found that learning at the Crane school was a marvelous experience. I am no fighter myself, so it was enlightening to listen to Kit in his training. He always had something new to tell us, and spent much of the second month doing so. Don’t assume that this training made him soft, as the warrior did something no one had seen before. He shot fire from his mouth. Honest to goodness fire. The flames flew from his lips and ignited his entire body in a golden flame. For a few moments I feared for his life, watching the flames dance around his skin. Yet after a minute the fire began to fade and Saito, rather than let it die, took a deep breath and shot it across the room. The man yet amazes me.
Saito trained constantly with other members of the school. These members included mostly young boys or teens looking to one day become the spectacle they marveled at in the classroom. One however was different. The unit leader, and essentially assistant to Saito was one by the name of Sonya. Sonya was a teenager much like her fellow students, but there was a significant difference between them and her. She had talent unlike anything myself or Saito had seen in a girl of her age. Sonya could best me physically any day of the week and she treated Saito as an equal even though she was half of his strength. Though with his weights on she always seemed to give him a run for his money, something none of us expected. His second in command however was Ethan. Ethan has deep blue hair and if you are ever in the neighborhood you will recognize him instantly with his headphones and shirtless form. This boy was special for one important reason, he is the younger brother. Both boys came from the same home and now together ran the Crane school. It was reasonably impressive to say the least. At sixteen years of age I certainly wasn’t the co-owner of anything.
Buraddori and Master Kito had another thing in common. Each were missing an eye. Yes friends Saito Kito was completely blind out of his right eye, or rather he didn’t have one at all. I had only one occasion to see him without his infamous white eyepatch, and at that time it was because it simply fell off. Has anyone else seen a human head with one eyeball missing? An open socket where a white bulb should be? It is quite frightening and indeed Saito lives up to that fear. Whether he has one or two eyes the warrior is still capable of fighting as though nothing was wrong. The fuhrer had taught him a great deal on coordination without one of his eyes, and that training was invaluable. Now being able to see with his eyes closed thanks to his sensing of life force energy, he was set for success.
This also, by the way, marked the first time Saito successfully used the Taiyoken. Though unsuccessful in his trainings with Kaladar and Mr. Popo, during one of his sessions with the fuhrer Saito activated the blinding technique. He was still unable to best Buraddori –the man was a powerhouse of energy- however he was more than capable of holding his own. Buraddori didn’t know how to use the Taiyoken, or for that matter the life force sensing that Saito could use. These advantages helped him maintain at least a little dignity during the time of his training. The fuhrer would win their spars, but not without a fight.
This list however was not just a list of those he disliked. Quite to the contrary Saito’s list included a number of different individuals, and although faces were not posted around the dojo the list did have the description and names of anyone able to walk into the Dojo without harassment. Of course the Crane school was always open door to the public, these individuals had a special right to the equipment within and thus a right to train in the school without being a member. The first name on the list was Della. How he met this woman is unknown, but she appears to be a mystic of sorts. Having come to the dojo on two separate occasions she was becoming a regular. Unfortunately this lovely lady was not going to visit over the course of these few months. Whether she found a new dojo, took a break, or snuck in while no one was watching, Della escaped even my skilled eyes. The next individual however was one we should all know well. Conri Lane, Galactic Champion, shared a master with our hero. The behemoth of a man trained atop the very same lookout Saito had, and frequented the dojo. While I cannot speak for Conri, Saito became very pleased with their meetings. The two had a lot more in common than even they recognized. Conri would come over usually once a week for tea and training. Using our equipment was unnecessary as the champion had equipment of his own. It was obvious his presence was purely to enjoy the company of Saito, and the feeling was mutual.
Being that Saito had few friends, the ones he had were obviously special to him. Conri came around as often as he could, though large gaps were present between some visits. Being Galactic Champion comes at a price of needing to stay constantly fit. Other individuals filled Saito’s time when the half saiyan was away. He had found companionship with another saiyan by the name of Zeke, though even that warrior never stayed long. The Crane school became a stopping point for many of the warriors that landed on Earth. They came in, introduced themselves, and went on their way. Some were less than impressive. Human beings with some ignorant belief that they were special always seemed to stumble in off the streets. Rivals they called themselves. Saito was more than gracious, and often when he accepted their challenges he let them strike him several times. Over victory was unnecessary and Saito had no use for it. He would train with those who entered his school so long as they were not a threat to the safety of his planet. Which makes the next chapter all the more difficult to write.
Chapter 2: The Crane School
In order to understand Saito’s training, you must first recognize what he uses. First, Saito has a set of weights that never leave his side short of an emergency situation. These weights latch onto his arms, legs, and mid-section making movement far more difficult. Anyone thinking that this makes Saito slow is mistaken. When he started his training the weights held a significant effect on his performance, however as his power rose the weights themselves proved less and less a handicap. Soon they will undoubtedly be unnecessary as Saito will have outgrown such pitiful equipment. Think you could handle it? Think again my friend. With his most recent upgrade Saito carries several thousand pounds on each limb. This is equivalent to a school bus full of children on each limb, and one weighting him down in the center. Believe what you will, the main is tough. In addition to his weights, which follow him constantly –Yes, even when going to the lookout- Saito has outfitted a small building in the Ghetto of Central City where he not only trains, but offers classes himself. Chapter 3: The Fuhrer
One of the many people that Saito met with included the King of Earth. While he goes by many titles, the one that suits him best is Fuhrer and his name is Buraddori. For those of you who find this hard to believe I can assure you their pact was very real. For two hours, twice a week, Saito traveled to the capital in order to train with the Fuhrer in none other than sword combat. When I first met Saito his ability with a blade was lackluster to say the least. As the months progressed, and especially during month 3, Saito began to flourish in his sword practice, practicing even when he was away from the Fuhrer. This practice bore fruit as the warrior brandished a powerful blade. Not to bore you with the details, but this blade had inflicted several wounds on Kit in a prior fight, and when its owner died Kit took it for himself. The thin bladed Katana stood at three feet in length and sheathed on Saito’s waist. The Crane school did not specialize in sword play, but it certainly began to practice it once Saito got ahold of the training himself. Chapter 4: Saito’s list
There were dozens of people who wanted to train at the Dojo, however the Master had a list of those who were invited to train there. First, they needed to have good intentions. Granted I was a spy and got a free pass –He is a warrior, not a mind reader- the idea was that anyone with a cruel heart would be unable to train at the dojo. On that list of people included some names that you may recognize. Remember the girl from central plaza? Yeah, the one that fired into an open group of people. Her name was Carla, and she was the first on Saito’s list. What this teenager had done was a mystery to me and most students, however she was on the short list of fighters who were not welcome in his facility. The very mention of her name brought an uncomfortable annoyance to Kit’s brow. The same could be said for another warrior, Brandon. Actually Brandon was an interesting case because he was, from our understanding, dead. When Saito spoke of him it was in the past tense as though he had already died. Yet his ban was active and unmoved. I suppose even dead men cannot redeem themselves from grave errors. Especially grave errors actually. This list however was not just a list of those he disliked. Quite to the contrary Saito’s list included a number of different individuals, and although faces were not posted around the dojo the list did have the description and names of anyone able to walk into the Dojo without harassment.
