He stood there for a minute or so staring at the Oozaru sized Ogre behind the desk. Zeke had all his ger back, body in tact, full access to all his items. Odd. The only change was the ring floating over his head. Thus, he had truely become an Angel. He remembered Kosho's words: “I know people refer to you as ‘the Angel of Death.’ I have no quarries with nicknames; however I’d like to note that an angel, even the angel of death, is still a benevolent being."
Now was the question. Would Zeke become a Heavenly angel and get to see his master once again? Zeke wondered if he would run into Leke... or the people he killed. If he made it up there, he would first face each innocent person who died by his hand and show not only will he not hide himself from them, but that he is also sorry for what he had done. Or he may become a Hell's Angel. Fallen. And he would meet his father again who would torment him there. He would be haunted by the guilty he had killed, most of witch were still done in wrongfully. But he would face them all the same. Had he redeemed himself? Zeke didn't know, nor did he care. He wasn't trying to redeem himself. He just was full of regret and did anything he could think of to make the universe a less shitty place to be. From helping Nahlin secure that orb-like artifact that the Namekians considered sacred to crushing an entire crime network. Training a village to defend themselves to reconstructing a bridge on Omega, saving the people who were fated to die in the attack that destroyed it. He even tried to help his friend Akassa. He found his path by sparing Ninjin form death. He sought out an ancient Namekian Healing technique so she would not have to bear loosing her father. He rebuilt her palace for her glory. And then... she ironically killed him. And her father... young brother and mother of her siblings... sent Ninjin to his death rather then allowing Zeke to aid him... and twisted Nasu's mind to insanity. And yet he could not bring himself to hate her. Or even be angry. He just wanted to go back and try to knock some sense into her. But this was Death. That would not happen. Zeke looked up to the Ogre. "So... you going to do your thing... or are we going to stand here all day?" he asked. It was meant to come off as a bit of a joke, but Zeke's attitude would not portray it as such likely. However having an unhappy person before him after dying was surely nothing new to him. after countless trillions who have been through here, he would have had to of built up a tolerance by now. Zeke eyed the Desk. Was it even real mahogany? Looked like a movie prop. Zeke was thinking he got hustled by a money grubbing Clawfore or something. Zeke awaited, prepared to answer any questions he may have. [[Clawfore - some Alien creature that TFS Frieza called 'money grubbing'. Apparently they conned him out of his money, so he blew their planet up.]]

Actions and consequences.
All must face the consequences of their actions regardless if they were meant for the greater good or the other end of the spectrum. To be "evil" was something hard to define. Was taking the life of another always a damming deed or were there times when even the brightest of souls would think it necessary? Such questions were almost impossible to answer fully, the multitude of perspectives and outcomes in the Universe endless. When it came down to it, the soul itself was the only true indicator of what a being was or could be. King Yemma was one of the few beings in existence that could see such details of a person and thanks to his neutral perspective, the most qualified to pass judgement. For eons it had been his job and got eons to come it would remain so.
The tall figure that stood before him now was impatient, speaking as if knew exactly what the King was to do. Perhaps a good Yemma lock was in order to show him his place...no, that was saved for the most unruly of visitors. Peering over his desk, King Yemma dwarfed the otherwise massive Zeke NeCross. Elbows pressed to his most definitely mahogany desk, he said nothing for a moment, contemplating his open words as if they might differ than the standard.
"Welcome Ezekiel NeCross, or you prefer Zeke, right?" The massive ogre shifting some to get more comfortable in his chair. Tapping his fingers together he doesn't wait for confirmation, already knowing the answer as he continues on. "Like a few others I have seen your time on Earth, a relatively active place as of recent. Tell me, how does the Angel of Death feel about the afterlife?" While it was worded simply, that was not the questions intention. It was not aimed to pull the man's opinion of his surroundings, but to hear his thoughts on life removed from the material plane. Who better to ask than the Angel of Death himself,

The massive creature could handle his attitude well. Considering he just died, he was a little bit on the mean side right now. But this man didn't allow it to bother him. Zeke let out a sigh after he asked the question. He decided not to be so testy, considering the Ogre hadn't scolded him.
"Tell me, how does the Angel of Death feel about the afterlife?"
"It feels ...Ironic." he stated plainly, eyes shifting to the side at the last word as if he seen the question as a joke. However he had a real answer as well. "Unless my mind was wiped or something before my existence in the living world, I don't believe I'm the real Angel of Death, by any means. And honestly, I would rather not meet them." he explained. "It was a stupid nickname given to me while my mind was just barely emerging from the shadows. That was... the Galactic Tournament."
This creature knew this. Hell, this creature could be the actual Death Angel, who knows. He could have the title. Ever since his time with Kosho, he began hating the name. Yet people still addressed him by it as they recognized him from the Tournament footage. Especially after... Ninjin. the white eyed, dark figure with the long blade was then plastered across t-shirts for idiots who thought they were rebellious ever since he wronged the Prince so. In truth, the name was no longer fitting. The last person he killed was in Akassa's defense when his old Clan members ambushed Kazu's bar.
Ironic. Again.
"I'm no Death Angel. If I could, I'd of found a way to be more of a Guardian Angel or something. I realized later that making things better can be done without senseless slaughter." He explained. He looked around, taking in his surroundings. The place felt Neutral. Neither did it have the feel of a Paradise of everlasting happiness nor did it have the terrifying fear of hopelessness and despair.
"So, would this be Purgatory? Some place in between the living and the places that lie beyond? Also may I ask why I am almost exactly as I was before death?" he looked down at his hands. Then he summoned his swords and looked them over. He sent them away, summoning the capsule case holding his chamber and ship, soon sending it away as well. Everything was in order. "This makes no sense... and I'm hard to confuse in such a way." he explained. Considering his own abilities being seen as nearly impossible to some, it made sense.

Yemma would let out a small chuckle in response to the question. It was not a new one.
"Many are confused when they first arrive here. I assume it has to be part of the while leaving the material plane and being...reassembled here. Here is the Check-In Station, the place where all souls go before they are sent to their true destination in the afterlife." Not exactly an easy concept and in many cases one the recently deceased did not understand. King Yemma couldn't blame them, death was a traumatic experience for many and in many cases souls that arrived often didn't remember how they had arrived her. The stronger ones, like Zeke and those others who had fallen on Earth in its current conflict were usually the exception.
"As for your body, that is simply the physical representation of your soul. Despite the different realm you now walk in, your should find it is exactly the same as the one you are used too." Zeke would indeed discover that he had the same abilities and power within him that he had in life. The only difference here was that he could not die. Souls had no other place to go once in the afterlife so they could not be killed. Although there were a few exceptions known to even fewer individuals.
"Now, as for this title. One could argue it is fitting, at least for a part of your life wouldn't you agree? I suppose the real question is, do you regret the lives taken in that life?" The question perhaps blunt, but honest. While Yemma was often friendly he had no reason to pull his punches, his job to make a decision did not require him refrain from asking questions to save hurting one's feelings.

"Reassembled?" he muttered after he explained. Zeke had a vision of souls having their bodies places and welded back together around them on an assembly line. He shook it off as the man asked Zeke about his title again. More-so his feeling towards it. The Ogres words didn't hurt his feelings at all... the guy was trained to let that sort of thing roll off him to keep his mind focused. Even after Akassa killing him, she didn't manage to do that.
Well, she did. Not for him, but he felt angry for all those whom she killed other than him. He drew a breath and let it out, nodding as he did. "I was nothing more than a mindless killing machine. I was lead to believe those I killed were necessary to be removed for a better world. But it was all lies." He said, explaining his early past. "Later, I walked a new path. I thought it was a lighter one, but I was still mistaken. I was looking for a way to use my lethal abilities to actually make the world better. This lead to vigilantism. That too was just another form of murder."
Zeke was pacing now. He thought back at the things he did as he had many times before. However he stopped and after a moment, cracked a smile. "Then I met the Blade Hermit, Kosho Masamune and his wife. He showed me a real path. I could fight to make things better without killing. I later went on to learn from the Namekians and gained new skills that would help me deal with others more passively."
He turned back to the Ogre. "The new path was better. But it wouldn't undo my past. I still had the regret, and it was the whole reason I seeked change, Mr..." He looked at the large man. "...You never told me your name." he said in realization.

“My name is King Yemma. Forgive me for the lack of introduction; your opening remarks distracted me from providing such a thing. As for your other words, that is understandable. Many in the Universe are taught the ways of others, going down a path that was laid out before them. Few have the will power to change such a path, to choose a different way of life other than the only one they know. I commend you for that Zeke.” It was honest praise, the Ogre King having seen many who stuck with what they knew regardless of the consequences tied to it. Too often was the hero or the villain, both terms used lightly, stuck in his ways and unwilling to bend in order to adapt.
“Still, one might wonder how good balances with the bad. Does saving one life equal taking that of another or is there exchange rate? A question we could debate for years, pointlessly. Instead let me ask you another. What is it you truly believe Ezekiel NeCross? I am aware you were once the friend of the woman who took your life, but not willing to side with her. Your choice was to remove yourself from the conflict only to return and risk your own life to stop it. Is this indecision because of confusion as to who you are or simple fickleness?” The question might be a bit heavier, insulting even as it questioned the man’s character, but that was not the King’s goal. No, he wanted to ask plainly if Zeke found himself conflicted still.

He nodded in surprise. "Uh... thank you." he said. He hadn't expected praise at all. In fact, he expected this to be more of him telling Zeke what a terrible person he was. But Yemma had a point. Zeke knew all too well how difficult it was to change your path. For Zeke, it took a major emotional twist. Suddenly Zeke's mind drew a blank...
What caused that twist? He... couldn't remember.
"My life took a major turn when I was young. Something terrible and traumatic... but I can't remember what it was..." this probly sounded odd to Yemma. However being in the afterlife, there could be someone he could talk to who could tell him.
It was Yemmas next question that really got to him. Why did he make his choices on Earth? Throw away his life? Zeke nodded. "I'm... going to get that one quite alot here I suppose." he said, crossing his arms and putting a finger to his chin.
"I chose to run first. Akassa was one of my first real friends in a long... long time. My life... being close to people was not only uncommon, but frowned upon. It almost always ended terribly. Akassa was yet another example. And I couldn't handle it." he explained. "I wanted to deny that she was different than before. I wanted to pretend it wasn't happening at all. But I stood there at my pod in the rain and froze."
Zeke sighed. "The difficult decision. Do I run away like a coward, leave these people to Akassa's tyrany and hope she comes around? How would that effect me? Would it... eat at my sanity?" he asked. It was possible the guilt could consume him to the point of madness. And they had enough mad Super Saiyans. "And finally... of all the people I killed. Most were Earthlings. I couldn't also abandon them. If I was going to die... the least I could do is do it for Earth." he stated.
Zeke looked up at Yemma. "I went back to fight for Earth. Along side Conri Lane, I hoped our power would stack up to handle Akassa. I'm confidant together we could of. However... Conri Lane chose a different plan that made my presence pointless. he explained.
Shaking his head, Zeke sighed again. "I chose to try and do my best. I wanted to try and help out the people of Earth, but also help out Akassa by putting her in her place. And also show Conri Lane I'd have his back. And... it all blew up in my face." He paused. "... no... pun intended."
Yemma was going to make a "ended with a Big Bang" joke here soon, Zeke could almost feel it.

"All must live with the choices they make for they follow us even beyond death." Leaning forward King Yemma would peer down at the male once more, hands clasped together. He would make no joke about his passing or anything else for that matter. While he had kept things light as he almost always did, there was a very serious decision to be made here. Whether Zeke's words carried weight in that decision or it had been made long ago, the half-saiyan would never know. The red ogre saw much, almost all of every soul's that came before him, but was only able to speak with each briefly. His goal was to make the most of it.
"Our time together nears it's end Zeke NeCross. Is there anything else you wish to say or ask? Before I pass my judgement? The floor is your." The massive King then shifting to silence so that Zeke's own voice would be easily heard, no matter what he chose to say, if anything at all. All actions had consequences, what would be those for what Zeke NeCross had done in his life?

He thought, but Zeke shook his head. "I don't think I have anything else to say, no..." he told King Yemma. But after a moment or two, he found some final words. "I walked my roads, mostly in the dark. Only later could I finally see enough to find a better path to follow. I have my regrets. I don't think of myself as a bad person anymore, but the bad past is there. All in all... I did my best. With that in mind I'm prepared to accept your judgment." Zeke nodded in acceptance and closed his eyes. Weather he would open them to shining golden gates, or the flaming river of Styx was left to wonder...
His wonder would be quenched quite soon.

"Very well Zeke. Your path is not as one sided as most, many having decided to take one path or the other. You on the other hand, have traveled both. In your time many have fallen to your hands, that is the simple truth. For this reason I cannot allow you entry to Heaven. However, I can see you have taken the first steps of many to attempt repaying the debt owed and for that I will not banish you to Hell. Instead, I will give you a chance to truly decide which path it is you which to dedicate yourself to." The ogre king lifting his giant gavel.
"Ezekiel NeCross, I grant you access to the ruins of Snake Way." The gavel slamming down against its block as Zeke would then feel himself begin to fade. "Be careful along this path Zeke, it is even more treacherous than it used to be and a fall may cost you more than you realize. If you follow it long enough you might make it to the palace of the Snake King, perhaps there you will find the next step in you path." In short order Zeke would find himself gone from the Check-In Station and on the beginnings of Snake Way.

When Yemma spoke of how Zeke had traveled both paths, Zeke understood exactly what he meant. Zeke knew Yemma wasn't going to grant him access to Heaven. It had felt good to reflect on his life and be able to tell someone about it. Then... Yemma spoke something that confused him greatly. His choices would be enough... to prevent his damnation. Instead, he was granted a second chance to truly make his choice. He could become an Angel of Light, fighting his way into the ways he wanted to live, bringing happiness to himself and aid to those around him. Or... he could allow himself to succumb to his previously embedded urges and fall back into a murderous, bloody darkness as a true Angel of Death.
But how? Zeke was going to ask what else there could be. Would he remain here for a time? Or sent back as a reincarnation to re-live? The answer... was the 'Ruins of Snake Way'. Yemma warned Zeke about this Snake Way. "Snake... Way. This... should be interesting. Yemma, thanks for the chance." he stated. He noticed himself fading away quickly and suddenly came to realize. "Oh damnit! I should of asked you to spar first!" he yelled... then he was gone.
No 'Yemma Lock' technique for Zeke today!
[[Fin, PL please. Gonna watch DBZ vids on Snake Way and I'll post up in there unless Snake wants to first.]]
