The ship continued to plummet down to the planet’s surface as the engines remained quiet and until it erupted in a large ball of smoke that billowed up into the atmosphere. The men that rode inside that now wrecked ship had been able to escape just moments before it was no more. Perhaps if someone knew what they were doing, and they had the parts, the ship might be able to be fixed. However that was not the first thing that the crew should worry about. The planet’s surface had been a barren wasteland for a long time before they had arrived. It was due in part to the Ozone layer and the magnetic fields around the planet acting in a way that allowed gamma rays to pelt the planet relentlessly heating it upwards of 810 degrees Kelvin, 1000 degrees Fahrenheit , before dropping to -460 degrees Kelvin, -1300 degrees Fahrenheit, when the planet’s surface twisted away from the sun’s light. At the current moment they had been fortunate to land in an area that was only 100 degrees Fahrenheit but it could easily be felt that the temperature was beginning to rise. It would not be long before only the most durable of creatures would be able to survive on the surface while most others would be burned away. If the crew decided to fly the thousands of miles to the nearest structure, the only known structure, on the planet’s surface it would be highly doubtful that they would be able to arrive there before the planet became an oven however there was a chance to make it, but only the strongest would be able to make such a trek.
The other option that was posed to the team was off in the distance there appeared to be a small cove area that might lead into a cave. They would be able to take cover from the burning sunlight during the day, it would be doubtful they would be able to fully protect them from the cold but it might be a decent start. However if the team decided to choose the cave option then they would be utterly trapped until the sun set and there was no telling on how long the days were on this planet. On top of that there was no possible way of knowing what might live in the cave.
The crew faced an option. Both had its downsides and both carried the possibility of death.

A large pillar of smoke rose from the crashed ship behind them. Looking around, Frigid couldn't make out much, so that was a plus. "I don't see any smoke, other than ours. I'd say its safe to assume the other team didn't crash like us." Shifting Man on his shoulder, Frigid slowly lowered himself to the ground, "And if they're anywhere near us, they'll see our smoke."
Gently placing Man on the ground, Frigid was beginning to notice the temperature. While immune to harsh climates, it was beginning to make him wonder just how different this place was. It looked like the sun was raising, so it was only going to get hotter. How hot would it get?
Turning to Banduk, Frigid stretched his back, "How exactly do you suggest we turn Man back on?" he asked, shaking his head with the humor in such a question, "Honestly, we don't even know what happened to him. I think we need to find some shelter, just in case this place gets much hotter. What do you think?"
Crouching back down, the Icejin turned his attention to Man. He was still unconscious, and the dead weight was going to slow them down. Looking the android over for a button of switch, Frigid was beginning to wonder why they even sent this "Man". So far, he was only proving to show that he was picked to trouble the group. Hopefully Team A was having a better time...

The android's body was laid on the sand of the vast wasteland they had come to. His eyes were half-open, but his pupils were grayed out. He didn't show any signs of whether he would be waking up or not. Being an android, they could not really search for a pulse, sense his energy, or drown him in water hoping it would shock him back to life -not that there were water to begin with. As far as one could see, the horizon was marked with nothing but endless dirt and barren land. Frigid would also find that there was no button anywhere on Model Zero's body. There was no hatch either, or a small door leading anywhere. The android's skin and armor appeared to be a single entity. Regardless, although they had no way of detecting it, Man's insides were already working on repairing his damaged components. Ivan made the adjustment when he discovered the effects radiation caused on the android's body, thank's to Conri's electromagnetic wave. The scientist did not have time to create a mechanism that blocked the radiation, so he prepared him to recover from it at-least.
Even deeper within the android, further than his physical body and its systematic functions, Man was experiencing something mysterious. His body drifted in space with no orientation. It was pitch black, his eyes were closed, body relaxed, there was nothing but his consciousness. Suddenly, he felt the presence of a strange entity. Apparently, the android was not as alone as he thought. The being invading his consciousness was almost celestial. He knew who it was. It was that man. The one he kept seeing on the walls of his holding chamber. The one he saw during the nights in which he was shut down for maintenance. The visage of a man he knew but couldn't remember; the one he saw in the window, glancing at him from the other side, in the void of space.
"It's you..." the android said. His voice echoed throughout the hollow emptiness of the space in which he drifted. His eyes were closed, yet he could see -or he thought he could.
"So, my calls have finally reached you..." the other voice said. It was overwhelming. His voice was that of a young man. It was soft, humble, caring and warm, yet it carried great pain and sorrow, regret. It felt so familiar. But androids could not feel emotions like the living; what were these sensations which the man's voice inflicted on the android's mechanical heart? And how was it possible that he was feeling anything at all?

Banduk nodded to Frigid's musings, but said nothing, focusing on clearing his mind enough to receive any signals that emanated from his comrades in team A. Within his consciousness, it was like a vacuum, totally silent and still. One might describe the emptiness as being black, but then again, nothingness didn't really have a color. Banduk could see nothing, hear nothing... Before a faint warmth was detected inside his head. A pulsating feeling, almost like a subtle throb. He recognized the feeling as Conri's Ki, steadily radiating from a distance away.
Banduk's thoughts snapped back into place as he opened his eyes, glancing down at Frigid's questions. "I haven't a clue." Banduk said with a small sigh, completely oblivious to how Man's hardware worked. Something told the Namekian that a simple button or switch - things he was used to - wouldn't do the trick. In the meantime, however, Banduk had definitely noticed a shift in temperature. He took a short moment to feel the air, wondering if the heat would be accompanied with dryness. There was obviously a limit to the temperature Banduk could survive in, but the real problem would be the humidity. Exceptionally dry air would be quite problematic for a creature whose body was fueled entirely by water.
"I agree. I've managed to locate Conri, and I believe the others are still with him. If this weather gets any worse, however, that knowledge won't help. I'll attempt to contact the other team once we make it somewhere safe." the Namekian said, assuming a relaxed stance in the air. "There are some rocky features that way. Shade alone would help at this point, and we might just get lucky and find some actual shelter." Banduk observed as he gazed out to the distance. "Any other ideas?" he asked, wondering what Frigid thought about this course of action.

”The ship was last seen on radar above Area 86 and dropping quickly. The lack of response from our attempted communication and its disappearance from radar leads us to assume that the vessel has crashed. Please investigate, check for survivors.”
With that the telepathic presence was gone from his mind, the connection broken. Hopping up to his feet from the cot he had so comfortably been resting on the blonde grabs his sword, slinging it across his back. It sounded like the ship had crashed and if anything Sebastian was going to be helping wounded individuals from it, but one could never be too safe. Resting on the couch for the rest of his break would have been so enjoyable, but alas he was needed. Looking around the large underground lounge area, a break room of sorts for the many that worked within the tunnels he scratches his head a little in an attempt to remember which direction Area 86 was in.
Pretty sure it was the eastern most tunnels he takes to the air, soaring off, making sure to lift high enough so that he easily clears the rest of the workers and staff in the cavern. Spinning in the air Sebastian De’Vont flies through a maze of underground passageways, not one hundred percent sure of all the various pathways himself and he had grown up here. Hopefully if there was anyone alive on that ship they hadn’t already wondered into any tunnel entrance for they had a good chance of getting lost if they ventured to far. Quite some distance still the white clad warrior doesn’t bother to search for signatures just yet, he planned to do that once he was a bit closer to the area he had been told the vessel went down in.
(Ignore me in posting order for now until I actually meet up with you three.)

Gently tossing Man back over his shoulder, Frigid shook his head, "I think you're right. We head for the mountains over there." Raising back into the air, Frigid's tail shaded his eyes from the sun as he squinted towards the mountainous area. There really wasn't much to see; it was like a force had already ridden this world of all life. The Icejin suddenly began to feel that he and his team were on a wild goose chase.
Motioning for Banduk with a wave of the hand, Frigid headed towards the cove. For now the activity would numb his nerves. At least until Banduk was able to speak with the other team.
((Apologies for this post. Having muse problems.))

(Sorry guys, college started again.. ><")
Man was picked off the sandy ground and lumped on the icejin's shoulder. The group was headed towards a cove off in the horizon with hopes of shielding themselves from the sun's rays while they figured out what to do next. As they approached, heat waves spurred over the android's cheek, whom remained absent and unaware for the duration of their displacement. Being half-metallic, his body became increasingly hot; if it were not for Frigid's thick armor-like skin, he might not have been able to withstand the temperature of his unconscious peer. Model Zero was still lurking within the dark realms of his mind. He drifted in the emptiness of space, attempting to comprehend something his scouter could not fathom. He strained to open his eyes as if a bright solar flare were obstructing his view. But in reality, there was nothing but darkness. He could not even see his hands in front of his face, yet he saw the shadow of the man. He didn't even stop to consider how any of it was possible. For all he knew, his eyes were probably not even open to begin with.
"Who are you?" He finally said. It was all he could say; all he had wanted to ask for a long time. However, his answers were just another riddle he had to solve.
"I'm you," the voice said.
Man furrowed his eyebrows in confusion. "Me?" he repeated. "How could you be me... if I'm me?"
"Hmm," the voice hummed as if in thought. "You're right, how could I possibly be you? After all, there's only one 'you', right?"
The android was silent.

Banduk simply nodded as Frigid agreed to head to the rocky cove in the distance. Soon, the Icejin was flying quickly to the possibility of shelter, and the Namekian followed closely behind, keeping his senses alert for any activity in their vicinity. The moment someone was close enough to detect Banduk, he would be able to react accordingly.
The flight to the cove ahead would take several minutes at the speed they traveled, but the trek thankfully wouldn't be terribly difficult. The heat was rising, but if the three arrived without interruption, they would be able to seek out some form of shelter before the temperature became unbearable. Banduk thanked the stars their ship managed to land early enough for them to experience survivable conditions.

Damn it…..he had gotten himself lost. Pulling up in the middle of a large tunnel junction Sebastian scratches his head. Spinning slowly in a circle he looks at the various paths he could take. One lead off in each major compass point direction while there was also one directly blow him that just lead down to levels below. Well the one heading down was not right, he was sure of that, but other than that one he could not rule any of the others out. He was supposed to be finding those people that had crashed landed on the surface and helping them if he could, but how could he help them if he couldn’t find them? Scratching his blonde head a second time the solution suddenly pops into his head. He had been waiting to search for their signatures upon getting close so not to get any interference from others working in the tunnels. In the right area now he should be able to find them.
Focusing his mind he scans the relatively nearby area, searching for any sort of signature, limiting his search to what was above him or parallel with him since they had crashed on the surface and shouldn’t have made it down into the planet at all yet. Success! Off to his west were two signatures, both relatively impressive ones at that. Wondering if that was all that had come down with the ship or *gulp* the only survivors he blasts off towards them. Flying at full speed now it did not take long for him to reach the end of the tunnel, the underground pathway sloping up to end with an opening out into a rocky cove. Pausing again it seemed that the duo was heading towards them, perfect!
Setting down outside the cave Sebastian would wait. The approaching pair would not be able to detect him though, the custom coat he had on enchanted with mystical energies to hide his signature as long as he wore the garment. The Church had many powerful members and a few even worked in the mysterious ways of magic, his long cloak a result of one’s work. Still…the thing was hot, especially when up on the surface. Feeling sweat already starting to run down his forehead he unsheathes the blade he kept upon his back.
Lifting it up in both hands the blonde then drives the blade down into the stone, its fine edge biting in deep. Dropping to a knee with his blade, hands still gripping the hilt he quickly chants, calling upon his faith. Around him a giant circle of runes busts to life, with the sword at its epicenter, the Ki infused runes glowing softly. From the bottom of his blades hilt a beam of Ki shoots up, rising 30 or so feet in the air before cascading back down towards the edges of his runed circle, effectively forming a Ki bubble. Unlike your typical barrier it was not designed to deflect Ki blasts or strikes, but to regulate temperature within it. Having spent many years on Belegost he had created the technique to make his trips to the surface more bearable and now it would serve as a welcoming mat.
Stepping around to the front of his blade the human plops down into a cross legged position, leaning back against the weapon. Letting out a relaxed sigh he decides to wait for the group. He had been sent to save them, but it seemed they had already started to save themselves. Upon their arrival Sebastian would great them with a wave and a smile, inviting them into the shelter of his protective sanctuary.

As he soared though the hot, musty, desert air, his eyes remained focused on only what laid ahead. The possiblity of shelter, the idea of safety. But that all faded as a siloutte began to reveal itself. And as the outline darkened, revealing a man, Frigid stopped in his tracks.
As a field of ki bloomed around the man, Frigid's suspicions only grew. Was this an attack? An ambush? Landing gently on the ground before the stranger, the Icejin hung tighter on Man. Though in their state, the three didn't seem like much, but Frigid knew exactly what he was capable of.
"Who are you?"

"Tell me, Zero, do you remember... your true name?" the mysterious voice asked.
"It's Man," the android answered with a definitive tone. It was the only thing he knew from the moment he had awoken. It was odd. The very first day he became conscious of the life around him and that 'life' existed at all -except within him, he retained what seemed to be the memory of a single name. Man. He did not know what it meant or what it stood for, but he could only guess it was his name, and so he adopted it as his own despite everyone's calling him Zero. It never occurred to him that, perhaps, the name he had remembered belonged to someone else. And in the face of that realization, the mysterious man which was also veiled in the same light of his own name, laughed.
"Hehehe..." the voice chuckled benignly.
"What's so funny?"
"Oh nothing," The voice responded. "I was just thinking it's still a bit early..."
"Early for what? Hey... Wait!" Man reached out, attempting to grasp the mysterious entity, but he was much too far away. He was drowned in the darkness that adhered to him and warped from the realm.
...
"Who are you?"
...
The android opened his slitted eyes slowly as he came to. His body had finalized the reparation of his damaged mechanisms. It was all thanks to Ivan's forethought and partly Conri, for revealing the effects magnetic waves imposed on the android. Man found himself hanging over the shoulder of a white being. His eyes fell towards the long tail. Frigid. Banduk was nearby and the rest of the group nowhere to be found. Overhead was a vast and barren landscape of sand dunes with the horn of scorching skulls protruding from the ground. And the sky, the sky was red. One of lesser mind would have thought it to be hell. One of greater might know it was. Man, dismayed by his rather spiritual and odd experience, he tapped the icejin on the back lightly to let him know that he had awakened.

Banduk also remained silent as he soared through the hot air alongside Frigid, both fighters quite focused on their destination. It was times like this where their relationship was best illustrated, Banduk felt. There was no idle small talk between them, since they both knew full well how determined the other was to reach the next objective. The two had a simple trust in one another, and the Namekian quite enjoyed the silent respect they shared.
This inner reflection of Banduk's came to an end when he noticed the entrance to a cavern. While he would have been excited to see such a thing normally, the figure standing at its entrance made him cautious, especially considering the lack of energy signature being emitted by the newcomer. Banduk squinted his eyes, trying multiple times to sense any sort of power within the being. He couldn't.
Approaching carefully, Banduk listened to Frigid's question. "Are you an enemy?" Banduk asked firmly, landing on the hot ground with a defensive stare, wondering if the two would be forced to fight a local. He didn't know if the man would be hostile, subtly sliding his right foot back just a few inches in preparation to shit his weight into a fighting stance if need be. Banduk considered bringing up the group's reason for being on the planet, but figured he should have probably waited. A faint tapping also caught the Namekian's sensitive ears. Glancing over, he saw that Man had actually awoken, which was a relief. Now this man was the only concern they faced.

Sitting comfortably Sebastian waits as he feels a pair of signatures approaching his destination, humming to himself lightly. When the pair finally came into view he was surprised to learn that it was a trio, a third one slung over another’s shoulder. With this third individual having no signature the blonde had to assume he was an android, considering none of the androids that the Church used gave off signatures. There was a possibility that he was of someone alien race that gave of no signature, but based on the look of his build the human’s initial assumption was correct. The pair he had sensed was made up of an Icejin and strangely enough a Namekian. Being well educated he was aware of both the races on their cultures, so he found it strange to see the green man on such a dry planet. Then again their ship had crashed onto the surface, not what the group had originally planned no doubt.
Despite the fact that he had set up the bubble around himself to offer shelter he was greeted with suspicion. Rising to his feet, but not taking a step forward Sebastian lifts his arms, palms open to show he meant no harm to any of them.
”My name is Sebastian De’Vont and I am not your enemy, I was sent out to rescue you and your crew after our radar indicated your ship had crashed.” Seeing the mechanical looking man shift on the Icejin’s shoulder it seemed that he was alive as well…or at least operational. ”Although, it does seem I am a little late since you have managed to rescue yourselves. I do hope the three of you were the only ones in the vessel and that there were no casualties. I am sure the rising temperature is starting to get uncomfortable, especially for you Namekian so please cross through the barrier for your own safety. May I request your names?”
The last thing Sebastian wanted was a fight, but he understood the group’s hesitation to walk up to him with open arms. If it had been his ship to crash land on a planet, a place they were most likely unfamiliar with, he himself would not have run to the first individual he saw either. Hopefully his friendly greeting had put them at ease.

A light tapping on Frigid's shoulder caught him off guard, eyes shifting, he noticed that Man had been the source. With a silent chuckle, Frigid set Man on his feet; though he felt like saying something witty, Frigid knew now was not the time. Standing back up to face the stranger, the Icejin eyed him. He looked fairly innocent, not harmless by any means, but maybe even honest. Holding his hands out to show he ment no harm, the stranger spoke:
”My name is Sebastian De’Vont and I am not your enemy, I was sent out to rescue you and your crew after our radar indicated your ship had crashed. Although, it does seem I am a little late since you have managed to rescue yourselves. I do hope the three of you were the only ones in the vessel and that there were no casualties. I am sure the rising temperature is starting to get uncomfortable, especially for you Namekian so please cross through the barrier for your own safety. May I request your names?”
It all seemed innocent enough. The bubble even made sense, seeing as the man inside was wearing a heavy-looking coat. Turning to his comrades, Frigid shrugged "What have we got to lose?" he asked in a hushed-tone before stepping inside the bubble. At this point, the group needed all the help they could get.
"I am Frigid," he told him, giving his tradesmarked Icejin bow. Turning to the others he motioned for them to follow. It was actually cooler inside the dome, so perhaps this guy was on their side. At least, that was what Frigid had hoped...

Man surveyed their surroundings. He hadn't been sure how much had passed since his disconnection from the group, but he could still observe the billowing smoke rising at the horizon; although blurred by the mirage of the hot air. The land was barren and scorched, scarred like the face of a gladiator drawn out by war. The temperature was rising by the minute as they stood at the gates of a cove area flanked by giant rocks protruding from the bedrock of this land. Zero studied the stranger who called himself Sebastian; whom was garbed in white and had blond hair almost as gilded as his own; soft skin, they were in the presence of a human, Man thought. What was odd though was the lack of energy emanating from his being. However, he was clearly using energy as he created a force field to block out the harmful rays of the sun. Frigid had already stepped through the field, confident in the stranger's goodwill. Foolish, Man would have said. But considering their circumstances, his guts were probably correct.
The android glanced at Banduk and then shifted his gaze behind them, confident the namekian would follow his eyes so that he might make his point. No doubt the temperature was starting to bother him. Behind them was a single shattered skull half-buried by the endless sea of sweltering sand that precedes it. "He would not go through all this trouble if he meant to harm us," the android whispered, knowing that it would reach the namekians sensitive ears. They would have surely perished in the land, just as that creature had. Zero understood this right away, and he was sure that Banduk knew as well. If Sebastian wished to harm them, all he needed to do was let them wander. Instead, he let himself be seen and invited them to what seemed like civilization. Man looked at the namekian one last time, nodded, and walked through the barrier.
Although he was an android, he could distinguish the difference almost instantly. The barrier formed by the human seemed to negate the rising temperature and provide a cooling atmosphere. Man faced Sebastian. A question remained floating in the air. "May I request your names?” the words echoed back to his ears as if he had just arrived to the present. The android's eyes retreated to the ground, scrunched in confusion for his own name. He still had to figure out what that encounter was all about. Androids could not dream, but he didn't exactly believe in the supernatural either. What had he experienced during his absence and who was the familiar stranger that spoke out to him. Was his name even Man to begin with? -or was it just a scattered piece of the puzzle? All his life, if he had ever been sure of anything, it was one. His name. Everything else was given to him, but his name remained etched to his memory. Now it all seemed so fake...
"My name's... Zero."
