If you guys are interested in learning about the advanced Simulator idea, read this training thread: dragonballawakening.proboards.com/thread/645/free-zeni
Turns out our current simulators can also recreate places, not just fighters. But the issue still applies. The only way we can achieve the most effective solo is by fighting another character or doing boring push-ups. However, with this new and advanced simulator used in tandem with a Gravity Chamber, you can roam the outside as if you increased the gravity of the entire planet and go on mini adventures. Sure, technically your character never went on an adventure in the first place, but he/she can still grow in-character as people do when reading books.
FLYER
So you finally have heavy weights, a gravity chamber, and a simulator! The problem is, you're stuck inside a stingy room! You'd like to train outside in the fresh air, but you can't increase the gravity on the outside! Well no worries! Now, you can bring outside inside by upgrading your simulator to... (Simulator 2.0?) With this device, not only can you recreate someone you've faced in the past, but you can also enter worlds you've never seen before -or revisit a world you have! Come get your simulator now!
OOC reason for this invention
If I am not mistaken, our current simulator only recreates a fighter we've faced in the past. Because we are stuck inside a room -usually the same room- our threads start to become repetitive. And I think that is partly why everyone dislikes solo threads, because the most effective way to train is also the most dull form imaginable.Fighting isn't the only way to enhance your skills, but it IS the only way to train under the effects of gravity (unless you do push ups or something, but that's even worse!) On the other hand, with this item, now you are not limited to mindless fighting. You are free to create a world of your own imagination or one that already exists and do something like... infiltrate a mansion. And it will be treated as a normal thread. Now people can walk outside with increased gravity! You're creative mind is free to do something other than push ups and jumping off walls! Training is no longer boring! YOU ARE FREE!
Finally, if you read the explanation on my training thread, you'll realise that -although the events were not real, the movements Zero made and the struggles he endured were. Therefore, the training was not mental, it was not fake. He didn't put a helmet over his face and look at everything through a screen. He acted them out. I simply found a clever and scientific way to explain why he could do everything he did without hitting the walls around the room.
