Tenshi nodded sagely. She knew the feeling of other's being stronger than herself. It made her want to further her training, but inevitably, what was the point? Should she become the strongest in the universe, it wouldn't simply stop there. She'd have to constantly train, for there would always be those trying to train harder than her. The concept of being the strongest was not why she wanted to grow stronger. No, her reasons were much more deep. In order to contain herself, she needn't just train her body, but also her mind, and soul. She would not tell Kit this, and instead let him continue after a brief pause
His wristlets were an interesting concept, one Tenshi hadn't ever thought of. If wearing weighted clothing articles, then you would be forced to move faster. Her exo-skeletal armor was already heavy, but as she had always had that, it didn't make much of a difference. She laughed at his concept of floating off without them on, but continued to think about it. He finished his explanation with a question to her.
Do I spar?
She knew what sparring was, of course, but she'd never done it. There wasn't much reason to practice fighting in the circus, and since she'd been off on her own, for the most part she didn't do much fighting. She had to think about her answer before responding.
"I have never sparred before, but I think I would like to. It would definitely help to train my body, and would probably help to train my mind as well."
As she responded, they arrived at a building. It was brick, with what looked like new roof tile. The building was well-maintained, looking much nicer than the two that it sat betwixt. It had no door, although it looked like it once did. Tenshi could see inside, and suddenly lusted for a fight. Assuming this was the dojo, she turned back to Kit, motioning with her hand towards the entrance.
"After you."

(I can't remember what my PL was when we started this, are you alright with a 20k Base? With weights that makes us dead even in terms of combat)
Kit chuckled lightly as the lady offered him the first step inside. He wasn't used to a guest inviting him inside of his own house. Either way the two had been having a charming conversation and he would hate to end it there. Stepping forward and through the entryway he continued up the cobblestone path that led to the entrance of the dojo. The dojo like most dojo's before it was closed off with only a sliding wooden door, and so once they reached the front of the school he slid open the door and reached up to his right. A small lantern had been placed there in order to light the room once he arrived home. A set of matches were held by a plate on the wall, and a few inches from the wall hung the lantern with a half melted candle wick inside. These were the same candles the original school had used and Kit was endlessly impressed with how long they burned without needing to be replaced or remolded. He struck a match against the plate on the wall and opened the glass door to the hanging lantern allowing it to illuminate the darkened room. The sky was a fine twilight, and with so little money this part of the city did allow for some star light, but the moon provided very little aid indoors. Once the room was fully lit Saito came to kneel down at the table that had been placed off to the kitchen portion of the building. The room was multipurpose as it held the main dojo, a large enforced wooden floor with a small machine on the ceiling to improve the quality of training with increased gravity. Off to the right was a small kitchen area, not even separated by walls.
"The ability to fight for fun or practice rather than to harm another person. That is a sparring match."
The way Tenshi reacted to fighting through there talks, he was surprised that she had never sparred. Then again that could mean that she had never been in a fight that was simply for fun or for training purposes. That was a sad thought, that someone could reach her level of expertise of self defense alone. He shrugged the thought, reaching under the four inch high table and pulling out a small set of Dominos. This game had been used in his family to pass the time infinitely in between trainings, and he figured that rather than fight the woman who had been drinking for who knows how long before Kit came to intervene, he would play a game with her.
"Allow me to treat you to a game Ms. Tenshi. We shall spar with the mind this evening."
Dominos was a relatively simple games. You would start with one in the center, a six of each end, and start the game from there. The goal was to continue the snake of dominos while creating total that was a multiple of five. Two sixes meant the total was twelve, so the next person would need to play a six that had a different number. If tenshi took his offer Kit would start by passing out the tiles, and looking over the ones that had landed in his hand. He possessed a tile that had a six and a four, which worked perfectly. He attached the sixes together so that the ends were now four and six, which added to ten. Ten points.
He of course explained the rules to Tenshi so that she would understand and allowed her to play next. She could play either a four off of his four, or a six on any of the open ends.

Tenshi followed Kit through the gate and onto a cobbled path. This itself led to another building, with a sliding door, which Kit opened. Instead of entering, however, he reached up to his right. Curious, Tenshi watched him, before realising that there must be a lamp, because shortly there was the sound of a small flame, as if from a match, and then light. This was subsequently followed by more light, and the very faint smell of burning wax. The light flickered, indicating a flame, and Kit stepped inside. Tenshi followed, standing in the doorway for a few seconds, to let her light adjust. It didn't take much, as candle light wasn't much brighter than the moon outside, and since fire produced a red orange glow, it helped eyes to adjust from darkness.
It was a single room, with wooden floors. To the right the floors looked skidded, worn, and weary, though very sturdy. This was clearly the dojo proper. To the left, without any kind of barricade, was what appeared to be a kitchen. The floors there appeared much less worn, but still old. There was a table set up on the left hand side, and Kit had seated himself on the far side of it. Tenshi followed, folding her legs underneath her in the traditional manner.
"The ability to fight for fun or practice rather than to harm another person. That is a sparring match."
Kit's words nearly startled her, after the few minutes of silence. It took her a moment to comprehend what he had said, realising that it was in reference to a statement she'd made right before entering. She'd never thought about fighting for fun. Mind, the only fighting she'd done outside of real world combat was by herself, mostly just to make sure she stayed in shape. She did know about sparring, and knew that the concept was to not hurt the other person. She had just simply never done it, and so had never given any thought. It seemed interesting enough. Kit began to reach underneath the table, and Tenshi tensed briefly, before his hand came back up, holding a box. Inside were little white pieces of rectangles, with dots on them. He placed it on top of the table.
"Allow me to treat you to a game Ms. Tenshi. We shall spar with the mind this evening."
Tenshi's eyes were wide in fascination as she nodded to Kit, and watched him set the game up. In the middle he put a "domino" with 12 dots divided by a line. He explained the rules as he was setting up, and Tenshi wasn't quite sure that she understood the concept. It seemed more like luck than strategy, but she would play anyway. Hopefully, it would prove to be more fun than her original plans for tonight, though that didn't take much. He handed her some tiles, and she looked at them, while he himself played one of the rectangles with a six, and then a four. This made ten, which was divisible by five, and so playable. Tenshi bit her lip, looking up and down from her tiles to the train. She had one with a six and a one, which she played onto the other end of the six.

Their games played long into the night, and soon enough the two were chatting and laughing as though they had known each other for years. Around game three Saito had finally opened up to the woman, telling her in greater detail the happenings of his life and his accomplishments. He had been wary to trust the girl, but as they played it became clear that she too suffered and longed for success. Even if that success didn't match his own, it was equally as important. It became clear to Saito that she had been fighting her entire life, much like he had. Though his fighting had never been particularly life threatening, it had been forced on him. It caused the man to ponder where he would be if his father had not forced combat down his throat. What if they had grown up in a normal household. Would Kit have never started sparring? No it seemed impossible to think that. Perhaps he would have progressed faster living in the harshness of the outside world. Yawning, Kit came to realize the time, as did Tenshi.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to keep you for so long"
He rose, his knee's sore from leaning forward for the hours before. Their interactions had been fun, and Kit had clearly made a new friend. He walked her to the door and considered offering to walk her home. He knew however that Tenshi didn't need it. He didn't want to insult her. She was a very capable woman who would not be afraid to attack anyone who caused her trouble. Really if she ever did happen upon Saito again, he would surely bring forward the courage to tell her about Nyu and Tundra. Nyu had killed his friend, and Tundra now threatened to return and finish the job. No, he couldn't burden her with that. This was Kit's cross to bare, and for no one else, not unless he deemed them necessary in knowing. Tenshi simply didn't need to know.
"Good night miss Tenshi, perhaps next time we can have a battle of the strengths."
He said, taking her right hand in with both of his, and bowing his head slightly. It occurred to Saito that he wasn't attracted to Tenshi, no he had felt that before and this was not the same feeling. What they had shared that night was a bond, and one that Kit wouldn't soon forget. Two souls begging to meet. Surely he would see her again.
