IT’S TIME!!!
The Church Saga is virtually over, with only departures left to be posted so that means Skip time! The previous polls have been locked and, with an 8-4 lead, the Skip was approved and, with an 8-2 lead, 6 months has been chosen as the length. Now for full disclosure; some of this may be a rehashing of the post in the poll but there is new information as well. As stated before, the maximum length will be 10,000 words. Grading system will be altered to prioritize quality, in light of the max word count, with some mods still present, though reduced.
One of the biggest changes is that we are adding an extra two weeks for planning and preparation. Some members were worried about finishing threads before the skip officially took place, so this will allow you a full six weeks to wrap up the present; then it is on to the future! However in these two weeks you will be expected to post in master claim, message said masters/monarchs to work out the details of your Skip interactions, and finish your outline. If you haven’t made contact with the masters/monarchs you wish to train with during the six month period before the two weeks are up, they are not obligated to work with you. But if you are still talking out the details past the initial two weeks its fine, we just really want you to touch base during the prep period so you guys have the full month to write it out.
As for techniques, three of the four allotted Skip techs may be learned from masters/monarchs (with their permission naturally). You may learn only one tech from any master/monarchs you train with. Any master technique you learn should be written out, not summarized, even ones not learned from master/monarchs. Any techs taken during the time skip which are not learned from a master/monarch need to be approved by me beforehand. Like with techs adequate attention should be spent on the training with a master/monarch and should not be entirely summarized.
As for masters, all unclaimed positions are up for grab, given there is legitimacy behind you taking the role. If you wish to take a master position it should be noted both in master claim and your respective outline. Then when you make contact with the master, you can discuss how this would come to pass. If more than one person desires a given role, then they will settle it in a thread upon the Skip’s ending. Please remember if you take a position then you must fulfill its duties which generally involve training those who seek you out. We encourage members to pursue this path as it will create more player interaction. Monarch positions cannot be taken during the time skip.
Outside of NPCs, you are encouraged to weave one another into your stories. Of course this must be with their permission, and their character has to be handled to their liking. Like with masters/monarchs, anyone you wish to interact with during the Skip should be contacted so that you could both decide how best to incorporate one another. However we do not want the same thing written in both Skips; obviously there will be commonalities but they should still be noticeably different.
And finally; death. If you are already dead, you may come back to life during the Skip. You may also have your character die during the Skip if you wish, though they cannot train with an Other World NPC. Should you choose this path you must message King Yemma so that he may decide your fate (if you do so, there is no changing your mind; once he gives judgment you are bound to it). However if you die during the skip you cannot return to life until after the Skip.
Also the open Earth elections will be announced, in character, during the Time Skip.
