The smorgasbord in front of them seemed to have no end, which was thankful because neither did the former prince and the solider’s appetites. Ninjin dug in with gusto and nothing missed his eye. There were delicious and succulent meats, crispy fried foods, soups, pastas of all types and more. Ninjin smiled at his friends comment.
“If there is one thing I have been throughout my entire life Celeh, it is lucky.”
Indeed once he too had thought that Super Saiyan was merely legend. Something that Vil had invented stories of in order to give the young prince bedtime stories. It couldn’t be that beings possessed such power. And yet he himself now was a Super Saiyan. Akassa too had ascended to that form, and so had Conri Lane. Ninjin considered his friend’s words.
“I had once thought it legend as well, but now I stand before you as proof. Word is that Akassa too has obtained the form, as had Conri Lane to both of our witness. Perhaps time has come for a resurgence of Super Saiyans. The universe does seem to be in quite some turmoil. If it is inherent to our race it seems to occur at moments of great emotional distress and need.”
The Saiyan brought a large bowl of pork fried rice to his mouth and began shoveling it in.
“It is a feeling. I’m not sure quite how to describe it.” The Saiyan put down his chop sticks in contemplation of Celeh’s question.
“It as if there is a well, and the form of Super Saiyan is a type of bucket, only able to bring up a certain amount each time. You know that somehow if you could increase the bucket you would be able to bring up more of that power that lies within you, at the bottom of the well.”

She did not stop feasting, but it was clear from where her eyes remained locked on him that she was intently focused on his description of his thoughts as to why Super Saiyans returned to the universe and how the form was accessed. Emotional distress? She had experienced that before, but perhaps she was holding herself back? Discipline had been her middle name in her life in the Saiyan Military. Maybe she'd stunted her own growth without realizing it? Still, it wouldn't do to dwell on her past. What he said about the universe being in turmoil did bring something to mind, though. Something of grave importance.
"Ninjin, I didn't get a chance to tell you, but the whole time we were on Mement Mor I had a strange feeling. I can't describe it, but it was like being watched. Like we were pieces on a game board. I didn't think on it in the heat of battle, but now I'm almost certain. Nobody seems to know who brought the Saiyan Race back from extinction or why. But I think they're involved with the turmoil that you're talking about. The war between the Saiyans and the Church wasn't just an accident. I think someone is manipulating both sides for their own purpose. It's true that Saiyans were heroes of legends in the past, having defended the universe and saved it from destruction more than once, but the Church is not wrong about our history of brutality and innocent bloodshed. Bringing the Saiyans back is a big gamble and it would be sure to stir up a lot of chaos. I know our race has been around for a few generations now, which makes me wonder why all this chaos started so recently. Maybe I'm thinking too much into things, but I feel like there's someone behind the scenes who is working to destroy both sides so they can come in and clean up what's left to claim it for themselves. The church's numbers are far larger than I originally believed, and it's common knowledge that Saiyans are some of the strongest people in the universe. Why pit two big powers like that against one another? The only possible outcome is destruction and death. The Church may be full of Zealot extremists, Ninjin, but I haven't heard anything about them attacking the Saiyans in previous generations. Though maybe it happened and I'm just not privy to that information."
She then fell silent again after getting what was on her mind out in the open. It would likely come as a surprise to Ninjin that she suddenly had so many ideas on so many things when before she was mostly a stoic, quiet, disciplined soldier just following orders.

Ninjin was still shoveling fried rice into his mouth when Celeh began to speak once more. Quickly her words caused him to place his bowl back upon the table. Ninjin’s eyebrow’s rose as he attempted to take in all of what Celeh was saying. After a long while he sat back in his chair.
“Perhaps our history is not common knowledge, but I will tell you the tale. Long ago a descendant of one of the great Saiyan Heroes of Earth, a great scientific mind by the name of Benjin, worked tirelessly to bring back the greatest race the universe has ever known. Benjin had made his home on the moon, and built many great things to assist him in his ultimate task. The most important of these devices was something to harvest DNA from those that contained the DNA of the legendary heroes. Using this DNA he brought our race back, seven of us to be exact. From those seven repopulation occurred.”
It was a story he knew well. Vil had encouraged him to visit the royal library and absorb all the knowledge he could that only his eyes had access to. It wasn’t for spying, it was for the preservation of history, and for Ninjin’s own good.
“Tensions grew between those that inhabited Earth and the newly reborn Saiyan race. Benjin gave us one final greatest gift. New Vegeta. There was no malicious intent behind the rebirth of the Saiyans. As for the Church, I have been hounded by them since I was born. Perhaps their true war began with me, I cannot say, but I have dealt with them for a long time. Their followers number in the trillions. Their leader is one called Warlock.”
Ninjin hesitated.
“Their god is Aon. He and I have had the unfortunate pleasure of making each other’s acquaintances. I met him as I lay dying on New Vegeta during the attack on our home. He came to gloat about my death. I have taken many bishops from him, and now I have had a hand in taking a few cardinals as well. All of this recent church activity is my fault.” The thought soured his appetite and he put his bowl down.

His words did not confuse her. In fact, it put a lot of things in perspective for her. So her suspicions were mostly incorrect? At least she didn't feel curiously stuck in the dark. So a man, of saiyan descent, named Benjin had resurrected his race because he believed they were worthy of being brought back? That seemed simple enough. The Church had a vendetta against Ninjin? They claimed their reasons for eradicating the Saiyans was deeper than that, but if what Ninjin said was true then it wasn't religious zealotry at all. It was simple and cold revenge. She saw the way he reacted to the subject, though, and she frowned. Celeh had only meant to get things in the open about her own thoughts, not ruin Ninjin's appetite and bring up bad memories. "I'm sorry...I was eager to discover the truth behind my suspicions and I didn't take into account that you had been the biggest player in all of the Saiyan's interactions with the church in recent history."
She sat her third plate down and took a drink of what she assumed was a freshly blended fruit punch. "So the Church got a hatred of Saiyans from fighting you? What were they doing before then that you decided to fight against them for, Ninjin? Surely there must be a reason."

Celeh apologized but Ninjin smiled to break the tension. Once more he dug into his plate as the aromas brought his appetite around despite his mind and what had just been on it. The church was a sour subject, they were his oldest and greatest enemy.
"I know you meant no offense my friend."
He shook his head when she asked her next questions.
"I apologize I seem to have misled you. It is not solely because of me the Church hunts after Saiyans. That would be a weight to great for my heart to bare. The Church believes in Aon, and of purity and oneness. They have many beliefs, not all whole or inherently evil. However they believe that alien races should not mix. Saiyans have done that for thousands of years. They also believe that once a race dies off it was Aon's will. That the Saiyans were brought was an even greater affront to that. My interactions seem to have quickened their actions. As for what they were doing they began fighting us in earnest? Building their strength would be my guess. The Saiyans have been dealing with them for at least as long as I was born, yet the actions were always far away from New Vegeta and on a smaller scale. Though their hatred does not stem from me, my defiance to their gods direct face surely did not help."
He would let the soldier process what he had said and once more dug into his plates, this time opting for a more dessert route.

Her eyes seemed to dart around the table, moving from one dish to another as if, strangely, looking for the reason behind it all in the food in front of them. She took a deep breath and shook her head, "Maybe I'm too naive...I wanted so badly to believe that so many people could not be so inherently unreasonable and full of hatred, especially from a church that has such support and solidarity for its members. Seeing Mement Mor made me realize that not all of them were going to fight. Some of them just want peace and to follow their god's tenets. But it sounds like there is no acceptable reason for their hatred of us. One thing surprises me more than anything, though."
Celeh paused to load up her plate with more food from the feast before looking up at Ninjin curiously, "You met their god and he gloated to you about your supposed death after their attack on New Vegeta? But you didn't die then? If he was truly a god, he'd have known that you wouldn't die there. Something is definitely wrong. Gods don't make those kinds of miscalculations...or at least you wouldn't expect it of them. Is it possible to defy fate? Or is he just a pretender? They'd probably burn me at the stake for blasphemy if they heard me ask those questions." She laughed heartily and went to eating a rather thick and cheesy lasagna that had been in the feast.

Ninjin could understand the look on the face of the soldier in front of him. Truthfully he didn’t understand it all either, yet he didn’t want to, nor did he seek to. The mysteries of the universe only sought to confuse him, and to distract him from perfecting himself. Still, he could understand Celeh’s curiosity. One of the answers had been met. They sat in Heaven. Ninjin had dealt with the church for all of his life. All members had hate in their heart, regardless if violence rested there as well. The former prince sat and listened to his companion’s musings.
Her mention of Aon gave him pause. He considered her questions for a long while before answering. There was some truth to her words. Ninjin once again dragged another plate, this one ribs of some animal barbecued and covered with a savory sauce, towards him.
“Perhaps it is we that are wrong.” He let the words hang in the air.
“I met the Kais upon entering Heaven. Two of them. Supposed Gods, yet they were nothing as I had been led to believe. Aon, was different as well. There is an obvious power to them, Aon and the Kais both radiated with it. Yet it did not seem that that power was unobtainable. Or infailable. Perhaps “gods” are just another species like Saiyan or Human. Perhaps anyone can obtain that level of power through training and perfecting of ourselves we can reach that power. Regardless, obviously Aon does not know all. He thinks Saiyans should be eradicated.”
Ninjin smiled a playful smile and wiped barbeque sauce off his mouth.
“As for fate? I’m not sure I believe in it. I believe we make our own destinies.”

Her feasting didn't stop as he spoke, and in fact she moved through the courses of the meal at a rather hasty pace. Salad, soup, entree, main course, and then dessert. She had at least four or five helpings of each along the way, and as his words of Gods being potentially just another level of power she swallowed and paused. Could that be true? That deification was just a process you went through when you obtained so much power that the average person has less power in their whole body than a single breath from your lips...maybe that is true. She hadn't reached such a level, nor did she know anyone who had. If it was true, though, then she pondered what methods they might have used to obtain such a power.
"In this crazy world we're in, I suppose anything is possible. If an entire race can be revived based on a few traces of our blood and thousand year old grudges are still held between two races...then ascending to deity-hood might not be impossible if given the right circumstances." She took a breath and a few more bites of the delicious rice cakes she had grabbed from the table. The soldier then added, "If fate is real, then it and I are going to have a very long, very unpleasant talk. From now on, I intend to determine my own path as opposed to allowing others to decide it for me."
(OOC: I think we can call it a thread here. I have nothing further to add, I don't believe.
Requesting PL.
Requesting Oozaru Mastery/Control.
Requesting Technique - Moon Ball - Celeh has learned the skill required to gather blutz waves from the air around her, enough so to form a ball that produces a localized equivalent to moonlight so that she, and those nearby, can make use of their natural saiyan heritage(assuming they have a tail) to transform into the Oozaru form.)

Ninjin smiled and dug into his meal. Celeh was strong. If she trained herself, then perhaps one day she too could reach the Super Saiyan form. What a day that would be. Ninjin doubted she herself would ever believe it. Still he saw that potential within her.
"Here's to making our own way! No matter what others may say!"
Ninjin raised his glass in toast.
