Name: Itan Farth Race: Alien 3 Planet: Earth (Previous planet destroyed) Appearance: History: Itan has not shared much of his History with Saito. The humanoid alien came from a planet that is no longer in existance. The last of his race, Itan was spared due to his ability to quickly take notes. Tundra -the Icer that destroyed his home world- was about to kill him when he noticed that within five minutes of the invasion starting, Itan had written a twenty page auto-biography in the event of his death. While the biography is no where to be found, the fact that he wrote it so quickly and without error gave Itan a second chance at life. The Alien was taken at first as a slave, but eventually turned into a trusted retainer. Because of his youthful appearance he fit in well at nearly all humanoid like planets, and could take accurate notes for espionage. When he was sent to Earth, he found that not only did he like the people he was spying on, but that they could actually defeat his master. Swearing himself a student of the Crane school, Itan aided in the defense against Tundra, even willing his planets secret technique to Saito Kito. Without that Technique Itan is far less threatening, and is working from the ground up to rebuild himself both as a person and a fighter. Techniques: Energy Barrier: Self Energy Barrier: Shield Flight Psychokenesis __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
With the battle against Tundra over there was a distinct emptiness within Itan. While his book was processing from one editor to the next, he felt a great many things. The first was guilt. While no one had died during the battle for Earth, Itan still felt rather responsible for its happening. With a little more planning perhaps the battle could have gone smoother. Perhaps had the blasted Icer not known of Saito's techniques, the Master would have been able to stand against him in an easier or quicker manner. This guilt was only intensified by the students at the school. He had already been an outcast among them as each had come from the same village as Sonya, but their bitter attitudes had increased ever since the altercation. They really hated him. He found his training sessions to be difficult as well. While he had the Ki energy to face off against anyone, he lacked the physical techniques. His body was not meant for hand to hand combat, and with his P.O.S.E now inside of Master Kito, he was without his primary defense.
He had of course trained up his new abilities. The P.O.S.E was an instantanious shield that fed off of his own Ki. Although he lacked the chip, he still had the Ki, and had developed several different shields to help defend himself. The trouble was that no student would spar with him. Even Sonya seemed to shun him after the incident. Alone in the gravity chamber Itan would train. The simulator roared for hours late at night as Itan tested his shields in various scenerios. The one thing he couldn't seem to shake was the loneliness. While Saito had forgiven him, and allowed him to stay, no one else seemed to. Saito was far too busy with his own training to give Itan the attention he desired, and it was getting to be a tad lonely. That night he walked into the gravity chamber, fiddling with the nobs, but what was the point? He had no where else to go. He had betrayed Tundra, and his home world was gone. The only person he knew now was Saito. What could he do? He stood in the middle of the room, staring blankly at the computer screen. Everyone hated him, and he just couldn't stand it anymore.

As fate would have it, the evening would not be as lonely for Itan as he thought it would be, as no sooner had the gravity enhancers hummed to life, then did a certain blue haired boy make his way into the training room. He’d been dozing in the kitchen, finally able to move around somewhat freely again after recovering from his injuries, though he was still holding his right side from time to time. During his recuperation Ethan had noted the sounds of the late night sessions in the chamber and wondered just who wasn’t letting the machine recharge. True he hadn’t left a note on the control consul or anything like that, but he assumed it was understood, the thing was supposed to be left off during the night to recharge the storage batteries he’d installed. It was only because he’d installed such a large reserve so accommodate heavy use that the machine was still operating with the shortened recharge times. Well tonight he was going to find out just who this interloper was.
Padding across the gym floor, the boy approached the chamber door and peered inside. He was all ready to shout at the machine’s operator when he noted not only was it one of the kids that he hardly knew, but that the young man seemed thoroughly depressed, utterly derailing Ethan’s plans to tare the other boy a ‘new one.’ Instead he decided tact was a better tactic in this case and knocked lightly on the metal door frame.
“Mind if I come in?” he asked as he leaned up against the frame, now in the full light of the chamber’s interior. He had no idea the bad time Itan had been having since the battle, his time after it had been spent in bed, so it was surprising that one of the students was looking so down.

The sudden sound of another person entering the room startled the young alien a bit. Jerking to his left he saw who it was, the little brother himself. Itan and Ethan ha met several times before but only once on a deeper level. They had prepared the strategy that ultimately caused Tundra to transform once more. Their teamwork had been phenominal but short lived, and each of them ended up with severe wounds after the combat. It was good to see him up and walking around, but now it appeared his nightly training sessions would draw to a close. He nodded, releasing a bit of a sigh before replying.
"Sure, thats fine. I was just wrapping up."
He turned to skulk away but found Ethan's own stance to be one of confusion. Pausing he looked back at the blue haired teen and after a brief moment of just staring at him spoke.
"You mean come in...with me?"
Was Ethan unaware of the traitor's choices over the past month? Had he not been informed that Itan was none other than the spy sent from Tundra to report on the Earthlings. Hell he had even stalked Ethan for a time, reporting his surfboard as a weapon of choice. It was unlikely that anyone would be so forgiving of him after such a betrayal of trust, and yet his brother had done the same. Perhaps it was a genetic choice to be forgiving, or perhaps Ethan did not understand the ramifications of what Itan had done. Either way he was not going to turn down a potential sparring partner. Moving back towards the machine he began to activate the simulator, allowing the world around them to begin changing.
"What gravity level are you on Ethan? We can start there."
His voice echoed with a nervous excitement. Hopefully this was no trick, and the teen really meant to train with him. Itan and Ethan appeared about the same age. Itan was possibly a little older. As the simulator whizzed around them, the scene became very blue. The dojo as they knew it was gone, and now they stood within what appeared to be a city street. None that Ethan would recognize anyway. It was one of the cities within the planet Farth, and for comfort Itan always returned there to train. The bricks were a shade of navy, and the sky was a light grey. No clouds were present, nor the appearance of a sun. The street below them was a clean concrete, and the streets were barren.

Ethan was pleased to see that he didn’t scare the seemingly meek young man off as it seemed a shame to have a student resorting to sneaking around to get time to train. In truth, Ethan knew nothing of any stalking and if it came out during the course of the battle, it wasn’t something that had been stored into his long-term memory before he’d been knocked out, else Ethan would have been more likely to greet the other boy with a punch in the nose. That punch in the nose of course would be all, Ethan wasn’t one for holding grudges, his care free attitude simply wouldn’t have it, he was even having trouble keeping up Kit’s silent treatment, especially after the battle. What ever Kit had done to get himself so messed up had certainly been redeemed, and perhaps Ethan though, that if he just slowly dropped the treatment, bit by bit, Kit might not question him about it, kids went though phases did they?
“No sweat, I wasn’t booting you out, just wanted to know who was in here.” Ethan responded to Itan’s statement that he was finished, obviously false since the machine was only just warming up. “Eh, only time I ever used this thing with the gravity on was months ago and I think it was set on Five.” the boy added and he stepped fully into the chamber and closed the door. In moments the controls were alight with activity and shortly after the world around them morphed into a cityscape, alien to the shirtless teen but pleasing to the eye with it’s heavy blue tones, some matching his very hair.
“Haven’t seen this place before. Nice though.” he commented and started to stretch a bit, although starting was about as far as he got as the movements sent a twinge through some of his still tender ribs. “What’d you have in mind?”

Itan was more than a little relieved by Ethan's careless demeanor. Not to say he was clumsy, but rather that he truly didn't care about Itan's choices. It was remarkable that all this time the alien could have been training with someone. The thought bit him that perhaps Ethan was only playing the part so that in their spar he could knock him around, but even if that was the case it was an interaction that he hadn't had before. With that in mind, and with Ethan's gravity level set to ten, they would be able to begin. Looking up Itan realized rather suddenly what he had done. In his solo trainings he liked to be at home, however he had not intended to show Ethan his home world. This was something he would just need to play off.
"Thank you. This was my street. The house on the left was mine. I know they all look the same, but I could never forget it."
As long as Ethan was genuinely interested, Itan would speak openly about his home. He had after all introduced it into play. More concerned with their combat Itan noted the soreness in his opponents movements. Ethan had taken a nasty hit during the battle against Tundra, and without advanced healing technology he would have to rely on human regeneration, easily one of the slowest among all humanoid races.
"I gave your brother a very important...item. Without it I have not been myself. It would be of great help to me if you and I could test my new barrier techniques"
He said holding out a single hand towards the teen. Hopefully they could not only get to know one another, but also build on their own techniques. Itan had no problem letting Ethan test his new techniques on him. Hopefully his barriers would hold up to it.

Feeling himself getting progressively heavier as the gravitational enhancers in the chamber ramped up to the proper setting, Ethan tensed up, resisting the ever increasing pull of gravity. He stood for a few moments, both listening to Itan continue speaking about his home and then explaining that he'd evidently given some kind of weapon, or maybe a shield to Kit and this had left him somewhat lacking defensively speaking. His suggestion that Ethan help him out with testing replacement techniques served the blue haired just fine, this was his first time under such strain of gravity and frankly he didn't feel like having his butt handed to him again right after recovering.
"Sure, sounds like fun." the boy replied, rubbing his side after his failed attempt at stretching. "You tell me when you're ready and I'll start of slow and we'll work our way up from there." That said, Ethan paced a few steps down the virtual street and turned back to face the other young man. His steps were decidedly more labored then they would normally be and one might ask why the teen was walking away when he had no ranged techniques. The answer of course was simple, he needed to get used to the environment before he could perform properly within it and so continued back towards Itan until he was but a few steps away.

Ethan wasn't much for conversation, and that was fine. Itan found he often talked a little too much. He could speak only half as fast as he could write, which still made for an unusually fast conversation. Ethan paced around the street for a moment, giving Itan the go ahead to get started. Nodding and allowing Ethan the time he needed to get acclimated, the alien lowered his shoulders. He stood with both feet an equal length a part and with a deep breath began to charge up his Ki. He made a notable grunting noise as the blue aura began to wrap around his body and then spike at about fifty thousand. This was the most he could muster. Itan, much like Sonya, had not yet found a way to access his transformation. With his energy at its maximum level he continued to charge, his aura now needing time to function as a barrier. In a normal fight the opponent would obviously take advantage of all the charging, Ethan's patience was appreciated as the first barrier began to form, this one in the form of a bubble. It slowly began to form around him until it was a shimmering physical shield. Breathing heavily Itan gave the go ahead.
"All set, this one is the easy one. A open shield that can hold several individuals. The longer I charge...the bigger it becomes."
He braced himself. A strike from Ethan would bring unknown consequences. His shield was capable of taking a hit or two, but he had never used it before. Ethan would be its first real test. Hopefully the blue haired teen would get an equal benefit out of the training, testing whatever abilities he had as well.

Stopping a few feet from Itan, Ethan tensed up and relaxed his muscles a few times, at least as relaxed as he could allow himself to be in the challenging pull of the chamber's gravity generator. As he acclimated Itan went through his own preparatory motions and before long was surrounded in a shimmering ball of energy. It was remarkable how much the shield resembled his own construct of energy, the very surfboard the blue haired teen uses to fly, both translucent, glass-like structures, though the major difference lay in their basic functions and the amount of intricacy Ethan had put into his.
"That's pretty neat." the boy commented. "Looks like my board... if I blew it up like a balloon. Granted by board isn't really a shield, yet anyway. Would be good addition though." Ethan continued as he reached his hand out and pressed his palm against Itan's shield, at first gently but then eventually with enough force that he could essentially be doing a sideways pushup. Surprisingly the smooth, glassy surface held firm. "Yeah, really neat. Hey when we're done, would you mind teaching me a thing or two about these shields?" the boy added, shrugging off the fact that it might sound strange for a teacher to be asking a student for training, but then how else could a teacher continue to teach of they did not learn themselves? Grinning as he swished his hand back and forth across the surface of the shield, Ethan balled his other hand and shot a firm, strait punch into the barrier, not hard enough to hurt his own hand should the bubble prove to be completely solid, but strong enough to hopefully see a reaction.

Itan couldn't help but smile at Ethan's remarks. He had never been complimented on his abilities in combat before, mostly because he didn't have any. His abilities with the P.O.S.E were not his own, and so when others would look on in wonder he knew that they were impressed with the technology and not the person. Itan had no help in generating this shield, it was regulated by his own Ki, and that was special. When Ethan struck the shield it sent a shockwave across the surface. It was as if the warrior had struck a bowl of jello. Itan squinted as the irregularity in the shields ki was patched by his own energy. He wasn't accustomed to fixing the shield on his own. The POSE always did that for him in the past.
"Good, but you will need more power if we are really going to test its limits."
The orb stopped shimmering after a moment, and Itan kept both of his arms out at his side. The energy was difficult to maintain, and the warrior had not yet learned to use it while moving. Remaining still was the only option for now and it left him with several complications. The first being that every time his shield was struck, his body would feel the pressure. It wasn't painful, more like a heavy gust of wind. If Itan moved from his position the shield would cut out and his barrier would be of no use to him. The second complication was that this bubble could not counter attack. Any physical movement on Itan's part would result in the shields deactivation, and so energy based attacks were out as well. All but one. His eyes began to glow, his pupils begining to disappear. He had one ability that Tundra had shown him.
"I'll tell you what. Break my shield and I will show you how to use it! I think you will find it a little more difficult this time!"
With that a powerful Ki force would take hold of Ethan. With focus he could manuever through it, but if the power caught him off guard it would be messy. Itan was now practicing his Telekinetic powers, making movement difficult for Ethan. He did this simultaniously with his shielding. This was the real benefit of training with another person. Itan had never before tested his ability to move objects with his mind. This was the first attempt. Frozen in place his bubble remained unmoved. Could Ethan break it?

Crashing a fist into Itan’s protective bubble, Ethan was pleased to see that not only was the shield effective, but that it wasn’t so as to have broken his hand. The fact that Ethan had not used nearly all of his strength on the first punch was evidently obvious to the other young man as he made a joking commented about the blue haired boy needing to hit harder.
“Hah! Easy there tiger, it was a test punch you know.” Ethan shot back. “Wanted to be sure I wouldn’t shatter my hand on this thing.” the boy added, flicking the shield with a finger to make his point. In response, Itan seemed to enter himself into some sort of physical transformation, his eyes changing visibly, presumably to access a higher level of his power reserve. Frankly Ethan never understood the need for such dramatic changes in physical appearance, he was after all perfect the way he was and why mess with that? His own higher plateau of capability reflected this philosophy. Granted his near invisible aura was not exactly of his own choosing, not that he would change it, but rather as a result of his kindred nature with water and ability to manipulate it.
Itan went on to suggest a deal where if Ethan managed to overwhelm his shield, the other young man would teach him to use it. While the thought was appealing to him, the notion of being suck in a stationary position was not and it was not lost on Ethan that that was exactly what Itan was offering. Ethan’s style required motion, almost constant motion at that, to be stuck in a stationary bubble simply wouldn’t do.
“No, I’ll tell you what, how about if I break that thing, you show me how to make my board into a shield” Ethan countered. “Right now all I can do is hit things with it, but if I hit too hard, like hard enough to actually hurt myself, it gets dispelled. So it obviously can’t take a hit.” With that Ethan raised his arms above his head, clamping his hands together with the intention of bringing them down against the shield with considerably more power then the first strike. However before he could, the boy felt the surreal sensation of an invisible limb of some kind, snaking itself around his body. It wasn’t painful, but to feel the invisible pressure against his skin was strange to say the least.
“Oh man, that feels weird.” the shirtless teen commented, now understanding that the change he’d observed in Itan’s eyes was the preparation of this technique. It wasn’t the first time either that he’s be snatched up by invisible hands like this, the moon lady had done something similar to him during their match. For a moment he froze, expecting to be hurled into a building or down the street, but that never came. Not wasting any more time, the teen brought his still raised arms down, or at least he tried. The invisible hands gripping his body though made that difficult, even with the added mass of his training weights and increased gravity both trying to pull his arms toward the ground. Ethan didn’t seem to have a choice, he’d have to tap into that higher level of power earlier then he’d planned in order to get out of this invisible trap, if it was even possible.
“Heh… Slowing me down isn’t going to keep me from cracking that egg.” Ethan stated as he relaxed for the moment in the immaterial grasp, closed his eyes and took a deep breath. Then after another moment, the teens already taught musculature became even more defined as he tensed up and ascended into his higher energy state. It wouldn’t last forever so he’d have to act fast and without missing another beat, opened his eyes, smiled at Itan and then proceeded to put the totality of his strength into crashing his joined fists down onto the shield’s surface.

Itan's eyes widened as Ethan entered what was notably similar to his brothers focus state. The alien hadn't known the teen was capable of any form of higher power, and this made him an easy match for the basic telekinesis he had put on the boy. The strain was hardly enough and once Ethan had powered up to his maximum the full body control was completely useless. To force the teen's entire body to stop moving would require Itan to tap into his own maximum power, a feat he was not only incapable of, but unwilling to do in a friendly sparring match. The training spar was even now and would make for a much more interesting test of their abilitities. Itan's shield and mental abilities, and Ethan's Endurance and Strength.
His fists came down hard on the orb of Ki creating a ripple similar to a rock being thrown into a small pond. While no notable damage was visible, Itan knew what had happened. The shield would not hold up against strikes of that level. He needed to get Ethan at a distance to give his shield the time it needed to extract ki and restore itself. That would require a little more assistance from Itan. His body remained still while his mind continued to work out the details of what he had to do next. Before Ethan could bring his fists down a second time the smaller alien released another burst of telekinetic energy, this time focused entirely on the blue haired warriors legs. His hope was to push Ethan back with such a force that he would be clear across the room before he could react. While that was the plan, it certainly wasn't impossible for Ethan to have another idea. He wouldn't have the element of surprise with his telekinesis this time, so he would need to push out more power than he had before. All the while repairing his shield. This was excellent training for the Alien. He was forced to regulate two very technical skills at the same time, but how long could he hold out against Ethan's brute force?

Smashing his joined fists down into the bubble with the totality of his strength, Ethan was quite pleased to see the quivering reaction of the protective barrier, though the fact that it remained was somewhat of a concern. Then again any protective technique worth it's salt shouldn't be taken out by a single hit so the teen figured it wasn't a failure on his part, but rather simply a well constructed defense. Though like any defense, it would eventually crumble with a concerted pummeling and that was exactly what Ethan intended to do while he still had the energy to do it. as he raised his hands to deliver another double blow to the barrier though the shirtless boy got a new surprise, the immaterial field that had been attempting to restrict his movements a moment before surged with a vengeance and shifted all of it's focus to a single part of his anatomy.
Ethan was indeed shoved backwards and almost fell on his face in the process as the force directed against him was aimed far below his center of mass. Acting quickly though the boy dropped his arms and shoved off the ground, turning the near face plant into a triple backflip. The force directed against him had provided enough momentum to send the boy clear across the virtual street and the push-off made sure his face didn't end up as street pizza and of course in Ethan's signature flashy style. The boy landed a good thirty feet back, touching down fairly gracefully considering the intense gravitational pull he was under. Straitening himself, Ethan smirked and clapped his half gloved hands together, not so much to taunt Itan, but rather to pat the virtual dust off of his dark blue hand ware.
"That's a neat trick. I met someone else who did things like that. She wasn't at all nice about it though." Ethan commented while still smirking before he got a running start, dashing forward with all the speed he could under the conditions. Crossing about a third of the distance between himself and Itan's bubble, Ethan leapt into the air and formed his signature, triple finned board as he arced up and then came back down. Although Ethan used the board almost exclusively for travel, it had another, seldom used function, that of a weapon, and that was exactly what the boy was doing, intending to come down hard and smash the bubble again with the tail of his board.

Seeing Ethan's body rag doll up the street was a bitter sweet victory. The goal after all had been to test Itan's ability to multitask, and so Ethan's efforts were appreciated. It was difficult to see the warrior hurt, but with an impressive recovery the teen was back at it again. Itan let out a sigh of relief. He wouldn't be making any new friends by slamming them into the pavement. He wasn't about to give him. That wasn't a reasonable option. Calling it quits for Ethan's benefit only made sense if the teen was struggling or wanted to quit. As he quickly made his way up the street it became apparent that neither was prepared to end their quick test, and so it would continue. A head on assault, how unfortunate. The alien had expected his human opponent to try something new. If his telekinesis had worked the first time, it would of course do the same again. Without changing his strategy Ethan was doomed for failure, and so as the boy neared Itan prepared his kinetic powers once more, a small glow forming around his body before launching at Ethan.
That was when he jumped, and rather quickly considering the conditions. Telekinesis was not an automatic success, it required a firm lock on the object. When Ethan sporadically moved, it caused Itan to lose his concentration, and thus his ability to counter attack. With the blue teen coming at him from above, Itan braced himself for impact. The power of his fists had created a ripple, but left the shield primarily intact. He could take another blow like that. Again Ethan did not follow pattern. His combat training was really shining through as he strategized a far more effective means of attack, summoning with his Ki the signature surf board. It was indead a unique weapon of choice, and with a powerful slam of energy the end of the board made contact with the orb.
It shuttered for a moment, and for a few brief seconds the two were locked in position. After the shield stopped shaking Itan let out a relieved "Ha!". It was less a torment to Ethan, and more a genuine pleasure in having held his shield against the attack. Before Ethan could descend from above however, a crack appeared in the orb. Not a small unnoticeable crack, but rather one that very quickly ran up vertically, and then splintered into several places. His eyes widened and with quick thinking the farthian jumped back, just in time to watch his bubble shatter. Ethan and his board had finally broken the orb. Itan stumbled back, falling on his rear with a surprising smile and chuckle. This was hardly a defeat. Ethan had been the first person to break his shield in a long time. He was glad to know its limitations. He could build on it from here.

The collision was epic, Ethan's own energy construct barely held together as he crashed down onto Itan's shield. The boy didn't know how much time seemed to pass for the brown haired boy, but for him, things moved pretty quickly, there was barely a moment between the impact of his board with the shield and when the blue haired teen lifted off once more, ostensibly intending to make another run at the shield. He was surprised however as he swung around to see Itan already on the ground and the protective barrier crumbling into glass-like shards of immateriality. Ethan had won their little test but only because he'd overpowered the other boy without giving him a chance to sure of his defense. Then again an enemy wasn't likely to give you that chance either so there really wasn't any harm in it, especially since Ethan had no intention of kicking the guy when he was down, quite the opposite in fact. Sailing back and nosing his board into the ground, Ethan hopped off of his ride and it vanished into nothingness behind him as he jogged the last few steps to his fallen training partner.
"Hey, that was pretty fun. Want to go again?" Ethan joked with a bright smile as he reached down and offered Itan his hand. Ethan by now was starting to sweat but thanks to the increased energy he was pumping out, the gravity in the chamber wasn't restricting his movements as much as earlier, though he still felt it's full effect and that of the weights trying incessantly to drag every one of his limbs to the floor. "Or you could show me how to make my board solid like your shield. Right now all it's good for is quick strikes like that."

Failure was not usually met with a friendly gesture. Ethan was certainly unlike anyone he had ever trained with. During his time with Tundra it was considered a humiliating weakness to lose in combat. Even worse to end up flat on your rear in front of your opponent. Itan was not one to show his humiliation, but everone felt it. There was always a sting that came with failure. Yet Ethan extended his hand, and the gesture meant more than anything. Itan took his hand, and despite the gravity the two rose to a standing position. Rolling his head to the left and raising an arm to help work out the kinks in his shoulders he nodded at his opponent.
“It will take me a moment to regain my own charge. I never expected your board to have such an impact! I can see why you would want to enhance it further. It might be easier than you would think”
Itan held out his hand, putting a palm on the upright board. Though he hadn’t the Ki to engulf himself in a powerful concentrated bubble, he could demonstrate the ease of an object permanence shield. As he touched the board, a thin veil of almost invisible Ki began to cover the board. If Ethan had not been paying attention, he may not have noticed the Ki at all. Once it had covered the entire board however, Itan let out a little more energy and the surf board lit up in a brilliant blue Ki. It was now safely covered by an extra protective layer.
“Much like my own shield, it is relative to your own power. It can only withstand what you yourself could withstand. What I have done here is put a single charge into it. Charging your Ki will allow the board to take additional damage and protect you further. Additionally this is focused, and so it can take a bit more damage than my orb. You are vulnerable from behind and at your sides however.”
Ethan obviously didn’t want to fight with Itan’s Ki on the board. He allowed his own Ki to drain out, and gave Ethan a more detailed explanation of how to extract his own Ki in a defensive manner. He would then step back and let his own Ki replenish while Ethan figured it out. When he was ready, itan would be more than willing to test Ethan’s new ability.
