It was at its core, the end of their match. Saito rose from his knelt position as the Kai drew near. It was lucky for the human that he had not instantly reappeared before him. He noted that the creatures posture was greater than it had been before, only hindered by what was clearly fatigue. No longer did he have an ignorant grin plastered on his face, but instead the look of a determined tactician. Even his eyes told a different story than they had before. This was a cold and calculating opponent, one whom was more than capable of holding their own in a spar. That, however, is not what this was. What had started as a playful spar had turned into a full scale combat. The Kai had not handled the pain well and had lost control of himself. Saito could empathize with the feeling. Much like the red kai Saito too lost his usual demeanor when his power level rose. It was the price that had to be paid and truly it was paid for everyone. Even Akassa Hattori in all of his grace had lost all sense when power got involved. When the red man spoke, Saito heard the words. Abomination, murderer. A smirk crossed the crane's lips. His muscles were sore, steam still rising from his bare flesh. He was a great many things, but he certainly was not that.
"And here...I thought that my tri beam would knock...knock some sense into you"
His breathing was labored, but as he spoke his power level stabilized. He remembered the burning of his body after firing the charged Kikoho. It had been excuciating. This was different. He had fired it with a single charge, and although his body was sore, he was not finished. His fist began to glow a bright teal as he let the next sentence leave him.
"But you're still pouting like a child...Do not make idle threats with me demon...You obviously have no idea who you are dealing with."
While it came out as snide arrogance, that had not been its aim. Saito knew he was outclassed. He always seemed to be. The creature before him had been presumptuous in saying the Crane did not belong here. That was untrue. He thought back to Sekai's words as he parted from the world of the living. The being had waited in limbo just to pass on his good faith. He believed Saito was not finished. He had faith in the man. There was yet a story to be told for the golden haired phoenix, and this kai's temper tantrum was not going to deter him from accomplishing his goals. His right hand rose to meet the kai, the index finger erecting forward. His left hand clasped the wrist of his pistol and the teal energy formed into a single bullet.
His spirit gun unleashed into the Kai's chest. Nemui could move, if he had the dexterity left to do so. The Kai was stronger than him, but as it usually was, Saito felt he was just. He had been just against Kemuri and against the Saiyan queen. Perhaps, just this once, his justice would prevail. Or perhaps he was meant to fail.
He thought not.

The human was proving to be defiant. It was time that he gave up. Accepted his fate. He ws the one to destroy the capital city that he initially knelt in order to save. He attacked the Queen he rightfully acknowledged. He murdered the King of Earth, Kemuri, however brief his reign. Saito Kito was an anarchist. He only sought to create chaos. Nemui would not allow this to happen in Heaven.
Saito Kito extended his fingers out in front of him in a gun formation and for a split second his finger glowed a bright color and then in an instant energy fired from his finger. Nemui would not have to worry about moving to get out of the way. There was one thing he could not match, his ability to teleport.
In an instant he disappeared once again but this time instead of appearing behind the human or to his side to continue the assault Nemui appeared above him high in the sky. Extending his hand down energy began to form just in front of his palm.
“Saito Kito, you bring chaos and destruction no matter where you go. You have lost dearly in war and yet have cost other’s even more. Your mentor filled your head with false ideas of what is right and what is wrong. To believe that Yemma allowed him to slip through to meet you was a mistake. You do not belong here. You are not a hero. You are not the phoenix that rises from the ashes. You are nothing but a spoiled child who got mad at his father. You abandoned those you cared about. This is not a dignified soul; this is a soul that needs punishment.” Nemui said with eloquence in his voice. There was no longer anger, it was just cold and unfeeling judgement. Nemui had ascended to his highest mental state. He once again wore his old title, ‘Judge and Jury’.

A miss. Damn this kai's teleportation! His spirit gun erupted from his fingertip and skated across the unearthed dirt towards an open nothingness. It was lucky they were not in an area in which Saito had the ability to harm others, as the teleportation of his enemy would have created a level of collateral damage that he simply could not control. It had been the same level of damage he had seen against the Queen. That had not been lost on him. The desimation of Central City was in fact the doing of Saito. Despite waiting as long as was possible for the evacuation efforts to be successful, and despite his aim being the Queen, he had been guilty of destroying each and every building within the radius of his explosion. There was no denying that. Actually there was no denying most of what Nemui was saying. Somehow the simpleton had gone from unfathomable stupidity, to omnipotence.
"As you say, so I am."
His raspy voice scraped out against the walls of his partched throat. Their battle had been long and unpleasant for the both of them. Obviously Nemui was not accustomed to feeling pain. Such an inner response was a defense mechanism that could only have been brought around by one thing, and again his mind was filled with the images of what the lady kai had shown him. The battle he had seen only hours ago. She had chosen repression and anger, while this man, Nemui, had chosen a different level of repression. Mentally he was no more talented than a toddler. Their defense was a powerful one and when Saito had entered heavan in some veign attempt to capture his destiny, he had brought their defenses down. He had goaded the lady into reliving her most horrifying memory, and he had battled the red kai into an old state of self defense. While on the surface he had wanted nothing more than someone to train with he had unintentionally brought out the defender in them.
He could feel, and see for that matter, the energy charging above him. With even a single charge it was at double his maximum power, but Saito was weak. His Phoenix skin was a faded yellow. He had used too much of his energy and had nothing to counter whatever it was that Nemui saw fit to attack him with. Yet despite his destined end, he felt no disdain for the Kai. If anything his evolution reminded him so much of his brother that he couldn't help but smile. Ethan had always wanted to beat him.
"Perhaps I deserve such damnation. My purpose here was to understand Justice. All I have ever wanted was to do right by others. It was selfish at first, leaving my father and such. I could have stayed at his side and lived even now in peaceful ignorance."
Peaceful ignorance. Reminded Saito of his opponent. The red Kai had charged a brilliant attack by now, one that Saito hadn't the ability to counter. He had seen all of his tricks. His voice was hardly above that of a normal conversation. Nemui could only hear it if he chose to, which at this point seemed highly unlikely. Yet his words were meant less for the Kai, and more for himself. As selfish as it may have seemed Saito was giving himself the last words he had always wanted.
"It was none of my business that day atop the lookout. I took matters into my own hands and suffered the consequences. You would think one lesson in heroism would be enough to get the message across, but there I did it again. I hadn't wanted to fight....I certainly hadn't wanted to die. But the Champion was a friend...If I left him to fight her alone..."
He was trailing off. His mind was suddenly quite conflicted. The more he thought about it, the more he would do it again. This was a kai, a God of the known realm and universe. The creators of humanity, the ones that maintain peace and order, and this one was charging an attack to destroy Saito's very essence. Is that what his life had amounted to? Such uncontrolable evil that it required a God to quell him. A lesser man would have taken it for a compliment, yet Saito could only feel an overwhelming ache in his chest. He had thought Nemui to be a simple minded fool who out of a short burst of pain acted irrationally. Now he felt that was not the case. He was a monster.
The warrior knelt on both knee's, the ash covering his legs in a comfortable embrance.
"I am as you say. Every word. I came here on Yemma's order to learn the meaning of justice and now...I have."
This was certainly a life altering moment, even if that life ended just after. Saito realized now who he was. Not the Hero he tried in vein effort to be, but a villain. Saito was always meant to be a villain, why had he not seen it before? He was always meant for destruction. He stood up to Kemuri in a false sense of courage. He should have been standing at his side. It was the corruption of others that made them King or Queen, and that corruption was rewarded constantly. If Saito ever got a second chance he would take Nemui's lesson to heart.
For now however, his body awaited its final punishment. For after it, he would be born anew.
A new phoenix of Black and Orange.

In light of the site closing I will take a grade and learn the Kai Punch. Seems like the most likely known attack by Nemui
