The crowd was going insane by the end of round three. Leke had done well, and so had the victor of the last round. Zeke had listened to the general rules and was ready for his first battle. He had no idea who he was up against.
"Alright people, the next round is moments from beginning! Our first contestant for this round is... from Earth, Kayjin!"
The crowd cheered as a brown haired man in an orange jumpsuit walked out as the fans cheered him on. He wore black arm bands and a black shirt underneath, and had a strange insignia on his back. He looked determined... and Zeke would soon find out something else about this man as well.
"And the next contestant, the challenger. From... parts undisclosed... the man has confirms that he is the one the media has recently dubbed the Angel of Death! He is Zeke NeCross!"
The crowds reaction was that of confusion and concern, until the announcer stated that he'd help wipe an entire gang off the streets for good. Their reaction became more positive from that. Zeke walked out in his full usual clothing, coat included with his new blade at his hip. Things got weird though when he looked at the face of the man before him.
"You again." Zeke said.
The man was surprised. He was the same man who had blasted Zeke through a warehouse while fighting the Vice Lords gang back on the moon along side Leke. The prince wouldn't likely remember the man though. Kayjin was somewhat glad. He had returned to his master to confess his misuse of his powers, and was sent to the tournament to 'build character' apparently.
Zeke was interested in the energy the man possessed. Even at a lower power level, he was able to output energy surpassing his own. How?
Questions would need to wait as the two prepared for the fourth round of the Preliminary match-ups! The crowd exploded into cheers as the mach began. Kayjin blasted off towards Zeke so fast it appeared he had done so instantly. Zeke defended a blow to the chest and began blocking and deflecting the boys strikes. He also watched for a good opening. Zeke remembered the man fired the beam from his right hand, so that should be his target.
Kayjin threw a hard punch at Zeke's head. Zeke moved under it and drew back his left hand. This was his dominant hand, the one he hit hardest with. Quite an advantage against the normal opponent. He slammed his fist into Kayjin's orange top, lying a total of three good blows to his ribs before he moved back again. Kayjin tried to ignore the pain and counter, but Zeke was already gone. Just as he had practiced on the training dummy. Not too hard of punches, just enough to lay down moderate damage without using too much energy.
Zeke remained calm and collected. Kayjin looked to be planning his next strike. Zeke thought that this must mean Kayjin expected Zeke to be playing the defensive angle for a while. He threw Kayjin off by rushing in the same way, throwing some punches and knee strikes that, to Zeke, should be easy to evade. He then threw out an open hand, grabbing the mans right arm with his own. He pulled it down hard and Zeke's left hand came in like lightning, grabbing the man by the throat unexpectedly.
The next thing he would see is the ground coming up at him. Zeke didn't stop there. He charged the ground with his Matter Energy and brought it up like a pillar into the boy. This launched him back upward. Zeke bolted up at him, preparing another blow. The man quickly regained his in air balance and fired a blast at Zeke's face as he closed in. Zeke winced and growled as he continued anyway with a swing.
The boy had no trouble evading that, getting a double calf kick into Zeke's back. Zeke came down, smashing into the pillar at high speed. The boy followed up with a huge energy disk attack. Zeke managed to get up and off the pillar before the disk hit it, slicing a chunk off it. Then it turned back at Zeke, but disintegrated before getting far.
Kayjin cursed, as he had focused more on power than the lasting of the disk. Zeke glared at the man and blasted off at him as fast as he could. Kayjin fired a hail of blasts at Zeke in retaliation, slowing the dark saiyan down until a good one nailed him and knocked him way back across the arena.
"It's time to finish this!" The man said.
Zeke ignored the generic demeaned banter and was about to charge him again when he noticed the mans moments. He put both hands out in front of himself, cupping them together one over the other. He then brought them down and back as he took a stance...
"Ka-me... Ha-me..."
It was the blast again. The blue energy charged in his hands... Zeke wasn't going to be able to withstand that kind of power, especially where the man had began to power up as well. But Zeke would need to try. He went into Overdrive, charging as much of his black Ki as he could. It appeared Zeke was about to use a huge attack as well. And then...
"HAAA!" The man fired the blast. The crowd gasped as they seen Zeke did not fire back! He was going to just take the hit? Zeke closed his eyes and redyed himself at his full strength when the blast collided, causing a shattering explosion and a blinding flash. Kayjin's fans cheered as the announcer ran out.
"That's it! It's all over folks, the winner of round four is..."
The smoke cleared as something was slightly visible in the dust. Zeke? He withstood the blast and still stood there!? That is impossible though, that attack was far too strong. And that was true. Kayjin looked closer when there was a sudden impact slamming down on him with thousands of pounds of pressure with the thunderous sound of metal on stone. Whatever it was, it forced Kayjin to his knees and blasted him into a crater about as wide as a transport truck is long.
Debris fired into the surrounding area as the crowd looked in amazement at the cause... Zeke. He stood over Kayjin with his Muramasa driven down through his back and into the ground below. He was still at full power, where Kayjin had powered down in his sense of victory. Black Ki wings flapped slowly as Zeke drew the blade free of his opponent with a foot to the mans back and let him fall.
He missed his spine and anything else vital that a healing tank couldn't fix. How did he do it? Zeke had charged up. But not for a counter blast, but to create a small, person sized pillar so fast that it would launch him into the air at an incredible speed, especially when paired with his flight. With the element of surprise, incredible velocity, and gravity, he was able to deliver the devastating blow with an incredible amount of damage to boot.
"...Our winner... The Angel of Death..."
The crowd erupted into cheers, clearly entertained. Zeke turned to leave but noticed a scrap from the man's Gi. it must have torn from the fight or the impact... it had that odd symbol on it. He telekinetic drew it to his hand and examined it as he left the arena.
Maybe he would visit Earth after his time with this Blade Hermit.
