The second day of his stay on New Vegeta he decided to request a meeting with Princess Akassa alone, and choose to meet he in one of the parks on New Vegeta. That way it would be less of a thing for five thousand soldiers to come and arrest him; yeah he has an overactive imaginations sometimes. While he was waiting for her to show up, he was playing with the younger Saiyans in the park teaching them the proper way to keep themselves propelled on the swings. Getting high air from the swinging himself he launched from the swing to land gracefully a few feet away earning the applause of the awestruck children. Walking his way to a bench, he let the children go back to running around and playing, as he let his head drop back to look at the sky of New Vegeta. His smile was much less jovial than it normally was and with good reason. This situation just reminded him too much of everything that he lost, and how he wished that he could control the weather to have it rain on command even just for a few moments.
Leaning back against the bench he hung his arms from the back, situating himself into a rather laid back position while he waited for his guest to arrive. There was probably a lot that he should clear up with her, even if it wasn't an issue for her, he needed to make sure that he took responsibility for all of his actions. Even if it resulted in him getting his ass kicked, which was likely to happen, but that was the way life worked out sometimes. Closing his eyes, he figured it might be a while before the Princess arrived to meet him and he could just relax while enjoying the park that surrounded him. He also forgot what time he told Akassa to meet him here, so he had just come as soon as possible to wait for her.
"This is why I should write things down," thinking out loud, he wasn't actually talking to anyone in particular. He also had to remind himself that it would not be a good idea to fall asleep, he was rather comfortable like this and it was tempting to just fall asleep. He doubted that would go over well with Akassa either since it had been him asking her to meet him.

Akassa had spoken with Conri just yesterday, the Champion having requested an audience with the King. Upon hearing word she had taken it upon herself to be present. The news he had shared with them had proven to be interesting; a small group set up by Prometheus Zex was set to head out with their intended destination a new set of planets. It was no surprise the alien Lord had left the King out when it came to the news, why would the greedy alien want assistance from the royal family? The Princess had only met the alien once, during her intervention with a murdering bio-android that just disposed of a poor security worker. In the end she had left the creature to Zex, not having seen him again. Judging how most of Alpha Prime operated she would never see IIshovah again…it mattered little; the creature had made his own choices.
Conri had requested that they meet in the park, a curious decision, but one Akassa was fine with. There were two public parks in New Vegeta. One was more of an athletic set up with fields for various games while the other was a place for people to picnic and relax. The later was where she was headed to meet him. In all honesty she had only been to the park one time, and that was when she was young. Her father had taken her and Ninjin there in their younger years, one of the few times they had been allowed to play there. The reason Akassa remembered it so clearly was the bad memories that came along with it. During their time there she had seen so many children playing with their parents. Even Ninjin had been running along with Natisha while Akassa was ignored by the Queen. Her father had spent time with her, a fond memory, but the woman had never wanted anything to do with the royal child that was not hers. Snorting Akassa pushes the thought away as she always did, she was stronger for it. On top of that, one day Akassa planned to find her mother, she was only human, but no doubt a better woman than the Queen.
Scouter beeping as it located Conri’s signature the Princess drops down into the park, landing gently in the grass several dozen yards from the blue haired half-saiyan. A couple children playing close to where she touches down pause as they see her, eyes widening when they look up to her face. Looking to them Akassa offers a small smile before heading towards the bench he was relaxing on. The children watch her walk; whispering amongst themselves excitedly, no doubt surprised to see her in the park since the royals rarely visited such public places these days. Once within earshot the Princess calls out to him.
”Good afternoon Conri, I hope you did not invite me here because you hoped we could play on the swings together.” The fact she greeted him with a joke spoke volumes about the decent mood she was in. Their last encounter had left her pride a little sore, but she was not one to hold a grudge against something that she had failed to defeat. In her mind it was not Conri that had beaten her during their spar, but that she had lost to him. Some might argue that those were one in the same, but to Akassa they were not. Stepping up alongside the bench Akassa turns and sits next to him, reaching up to remove her scouter before folding it up and clipping it to her waist.

It didn't take long before he felt the familiar signature of the Hattori Princess approach his location, he had met up with her enough times to learn the distinct nature of her Ki. Although the fact that she greeted him with a joke caused a smile to spread across his lips, at least she was able to comfortably be silly around him. Then again the suggestion itself wasn't a bad one, the swings could be fun regardless of ones age, at least in his mind they could. Feeling her sit down, he opened his eyes and stood for a moment to take her hand bowing over it and placing a kiss on her knuckles. It was the proper way to greet a lady, plus it would be fun to see her expression with him actually knowing of something that showed respect, politeness, and other things of that nature. When he completed the greeting, he sat beside her once more and resumed his position from a few moments ago with the exception of keeping his attention on Akassa.
"Good afternoon, Akassa. As for the swings, I don't know, those can be quite fun," a small grin taking the place of his smile. Though he supposed that he should start with the main reason that he brought her out here, which was something he wasn't quite used to doing. He would need to carefully choose the words so that he didn't inadvertently insult her while doing this, because that would just completely contradict the point of him calling her out here.
"What I actually called you out here for was to offer an apology for the things I had said during the meeting yesterday. I know you have a lot of respect for your family and you would do everything for them, but I have to be sure that I'm not causing more suffering in the universe, that is the most important goal for my organization. Given that it could be short lived I feel that I should take such things seriously," the last part said with something of a chuckle. Although, he supposed what he had said wasn't the entire truth, so he should try to explain a bit more to her as to why he called her.
"Well, that was one of the reasons I called you out, the other reason is that I would just like to talk for a while, if that's alright with you?" he asked, not wanting to impose anything on her. He figured it couldn't hurt to try and get to know her better in general, just as a way to understand her better on the whole.

Watching Conri rise from the bench she eyes him a little. It wasn’t that she didn’t trust him; she just never knew what he was going to do. Akassa was almost predictable in nature most of the time, her strict up bringing having shaped her into a creature of habit. The Champion on the other side was always a wild card and he again proves himself one when he takes her hand. Expecting him to help her stand or something of that nature her eyes widen as little as he dips into a slight bow, gently kissing the back of her hand. Not having been prepared for that at all the Princess actually feels her cheeks warm up slightly, they were in public after all. Akassa was all for formalities and showing proper respect, but that was just over the top. Quickly retracting her hand she says nothing as he takes his seat again.
The female rolls her eyes at the swing comment hoping that he did have more in mind then playing alongside the children. Leaning back a little on the bench and folding her arms over her chest, she listens as he continues, shockingly enough getting right to the point. Remembering well the conversation between them the day before Akassa slowly starts to nod as he apologizes. For her the royal family was top priority in almost all matters. Even this trip to new planets, that really didn’t have anything to do with them, was about them. Some may think it a selfish viewpoint, but in her mind the Hattori family was the most important thing in the Universe…even at the expense of others at times. Yet, she was not blind to others viewpoints and although her family was her highest priority it did not mean that was the case with Conri.
”I understand Conri, but I hope you understand the position my father is in. He has a duty to the people of New Vegeta and if this new discovery might benefit them in some way he deserves to know. I trust you though, on Alpha Prime you proved to me that you are a man of your word, I do not doubt you will contact us when you have the chance.” The Princess did have faith in him even if he was not of her blood. As of recently Akassa was learning to trust others, after they had proved themselves competent of course.
The last part drew a curious look from her, not used to people asking to speak with her without any real reason for it. Of course getting to know her was his reason, but she was used to every conversation having some sort of military implication or something to do with her duties. He had brought them information though, when he did not have to, so she figured she could at least speak with him for awhile. On top of that it was not like she disliked his company…even if he was odd at times.
”I have some time before I need to get back to my duties. What is it you wish to speak about Conri?”

He could only smirk as she rolled her eyes at the comment of playing on the swings, but to him it was just a chance to have a bit of fun before things got serious. Add that to the silence that followed his previous action and he would say he was on a pretty good roll here for keeping her on her toes. With the apology next he felt at least a little bit better about the meeting yesterday, and Akassa did seem to be understanding of his own side of the situation. Which was good in its own way as well, hopefully he could get others to see his point of things as well. He would rather get the universe to a point where people could live without trying to make others miserable just for their own sakes. That could get turned against everyone far too easily and it would likely eventually lead to a MAD situation where no one would be able to do anything at that point.
"I understand, and I will do what I can to help. My priority and responsibility is to make sure no one gets enslaved or worse because of my own actions, I can't do that to innocent people. I don't mean anything as an insult, I just need to be sure myself, if you gave your word I would believe it without hesitation. There's not a lot of people I can do that with though, but yes, I keep my word and I am a professional, I was paid to do a job and I'll do it," his words sincere. He just needed to apologize for talking towards her father like he had, but he doubted that he and Tsuyo would get along that well at this point for him to say anything. They both had their own sources of pride, and Conri made his own perfectly clear.
"I mostly just want to share stories and whatnot so we get to know each other," he shrugged, that was all he wanted from her, he was honestly interested in her own thoughts, experiences, and the like. Plus it was an opportunity for them to possibly become friends, even though he already considered her as such, he was simpleminded like that. She probably would scream stranger danger if he mentioned that as well, which would be rather amusing until the guards or worse came to pummel him. Turning his head to the side he grinned at her, he had a simple way for them to get to know each other as well.
"We can take turns asking each other questions that we don't know about each other, and I'll make it extra tempting by saying that I'll restrict nothing during this session. If you want to know it, ask about it, simple right? I'll go first, what kinds of foods do you like?" he laughed a bit at the lame question he asked, but he figured he would start things simple and work his way up to the more complicated things. It might make her more comfortable to tell him things if he didn't just jump into her past and whatnot, which might be a sore issue.

”I am glad you feel you can trust me as well Conri. My word is my bond and I will never go back on it, you can be sure of that.” Akassa was a woman of her word. Honesty and integrity were two things that mattered to her, even if keeping them was not the simplest option. He had not known her for that long, but he probably already knew this to be true. It was the way she had been raised, to live by her own code of honor just like her father had and his father before him. As far as she knew the Hattori family was always true to its word, such honestly only allowed them to demand more respect from others.
Share stories? Akassa had all sorts of war stories she could tell him if that is what he was looking for. Of course she initially misinterprets what he means by share stories. There had been few times in her life where she had simply sat and exchanged anything but battle stories with others. Even with Celeh, her female bodyguard, she had not spent much time talking. When he turns and grins at her she smiles back at him, seeming to be rather relaxed considering how different she had been the last several times they had spoken. The first time had been after her loss in the tournament then the following three had involved a fight in one way or another, while the very last time had been in the tense throne room. This was really first time he had gotten some one on one time with her where they were both at ease, just talking. Ask each other questions? He wished to learn more about her, not the feats she had accomplished? With him clarifying what he wanted to talk about she was a little confused, not sure what sort of requests he might make of her. His first question, as simple as it was, was a good place to start.
”Well…I prefer to eat rice mixed with vegetables and chicken most of the time. It’s a simple meal, but provides the body with plenty of nutrients.” It may not have been the answer he was looking for, but the fact she had answered meant she wasn’t against the idea of learning a little more about each other. After all, one should get to know their allies, even if this was a little unorthodox to her. Pausing after the answer she was unsure what to ask, not really thinking of anything tivial like his favorite food. Taking a moment she then speaks.
”I am aware your father is still alive, but do you have any other family members, siblings perhaps?” Akassa had realized that although she had helped to protect his father she knew nothing about the rest of his family, did he even have one? That thought made her swallow a little…what if he had and they had been killed? She hoped she had not asking something to personal to start it off…but he had restricted nothing.

Nodding as she spoke, he knew that she was true to her word as well, it was the main reason that he openly trusted her like this as well. There were only two other people he trusted anywhere near as much as Akassa and he knew they both would be trustworthy, he had learned their inner selves by fighting against them. Akassa, however, was the first one he extended his trust to and was shown that it wasn't a mistake to do so. Getting to know more about her only seemed appropriate as the next stage to becoming closer friends, plus maybe he could surprise her with something later on with what he learned here. That was always a fun thought, but he would need more information before he could pull off something like that just yet.
When she answered his question, he made a mental note of it and saved it, rice mixed with vegetables and chicken. That was actually a pretty good answer, it was simple but it could offer a lot of nutrition while still being flavorful. His next question was already in his mind when she asked her own and could feel a little pang of sadness wash through him from it. He had left it unrestrained, but damn she knew how to ask a good question that he couldn't lie about now with her saying he was a man of his word and all. Stupid prideful honor, ah well, there was no point in beating around the bush then, so he might as well tell her. He wasn't sure how she would react, but at the same time, this was something he would rather not see a reaction to simply cause he didn't want pity.
"You know how to pick a good question, you know that?" he teased her a bit before taking a deep breath to settle himself, so that he could tell her. How did you tell other people about your family that had been murdered in front of your eyes? Very carefully, would be a good but also smart ass answer. Well, he would just outright tell her and then see what happened with it. There wasn't a whole lot of other options for him at this point if he wanted to remain trustworthy to her.
"I don't have any more living family, no. As for other family members there was my mother who died in child birth and..." he paused for a moment to take another deep breath. It was hard for him to talk about this next part with anyone. "There is also my late wife and children who were murdered," a slight hint of anger flushed through his voice at the last part. Taking a moment to push the anger back down, he felt that the time when he would be able to hold it back would be coming to an end sometime in the near future. To turn his thoughts from it for the moment, he decided to ask Akassa the question that he had thought of right after her first answer.
"When is your birthday?" he figured this wouldn't be too big of an issue. Plus, if it was sometime in the near future, he might try to plan a surprise for her!

His compliment about her question has her smirking some, thinking she was about to get an in depth story about his vast family. As a member of the royal family Akassa knew the importance such ties held and was honestly curious as to what other family he had. Of course once he starts to actually answer her question the Princess’ heart sinks. To her family was everything and to learn that his mother had died before he even knew her was something she could understand. Her mother was not dead as far as she knew, but she had never known her, the woman banished after Akassa’s birth. The next part had the half-saiyan frowning. She was not one to dabble much in relationships, but that did not mean she couldn’t understand the pain of a lost lover and child, she was not heartless. Always wearing a confident expression it would be the first and perhaps only time Conri would see Akassa frown in such away.
Swallowing some after the short answer she simply nods, thinking her first question was not a good one after all. While hers had turned to be a rather dark topic he continued to keep things light, asking the simple question of when her birthday was. Glad to move on in the conversation she nods a little.
”I was born on August 30th of the year 1979. Later this year I will be 22 years of age.” Smiling some she wonders what to ask him next. Wanting to stay away from questions like the first one she looks him up and down a little. Oddly enough she felt a little more comfortable with this now, starting to understand why he had wanted to simply talk. If the two of them were going to continue to be allies it would benefit them to know about each other a little more. She had done the same with Celeh after their first sparring session, and as a result felt much closer to her. The idea of friendship was still very new to Akassa.
”Very well Conri… I have my next question for you then.” Again she pauses and looks him over, a small grin forming on her lips. ”Is your hair naturally blue like that, or do you dye it as I do my bangs?” She had wondered since first seeing the half-saiyan if his hair was naturally blue. Knowing he was half-saiyan she had always assume the other half was human, but she wasn’t aware of many humans that had blue hair and definitely didn’t know any Saiyans that did. Sticking with lighter questions now Akassa smirks over at him, leaning back on the bench some.

It seemed that him answering the question had something of a disheartening effect on her, given that she had suddenly frowned when he told her everything abut his family. Given the look she normally had, it was a bit strange to see her with a frown on her face, but he wouldn't let her dwell on it for too long. Moving his finger he gave her a slight poke on the nose to distract her attention away from the topic, giving her a lopsided smile to show that he'd rather not see her upset like that. "Only thing I ask is that stay between us, no one else knows and I'd prefer it that way," it was the only request he would make of her. She was probably the only one that would ever know because he'd let her ask anything she wanted to know about him, but he did trust her with that information. He could tell that she was glad to have the topic change as well, so he wouldn't bring it up again either.
"Is that so? I'll have to keep that in mind then," he smirked as he shifted against the bench trying to get more comfortable. If her birthday was this year then he would have to do something special for it, he made sure to keep that information noted down as well. He would have to think about what would be the most appropriate way to celebrate her birthday as well, considering she wasn't really like most princess'. That or he could just outright ask her what she would want, but that might seem a bit dull. Scratching his cheek lightly he would have to carefully weight each option before they were finished to make sure that if he did ask, it wouldn't be after this little exchange. When she mentioned having her next question, he raised an eyebrow and noticed her own grin, she seemed to be really enjoying this. He was glad that she was having so much fun just trading questions between each other, and he grinned at her question, laughing as it seemed most people tended to be curious about his hair.
"I'm not sure how I should feel about that question," he smirked teasingly towards her, before reaching back to undo his ponytail and lift his hair so that she could see the roots of his hair. "I'm actually naturally blue-haired, don't ask me how or why, that's just the way it turned out when I was born. I figured it was probably due to someone on my dad's side of the family having blue hair as well," he shrugged lightly, still grinning. Shaking his hair out, he ran his fingers through it to make sure there were no knots or anything, before putting it back into his ponytail. Now it was his turn to ask a question, but he would need to think of one that would help him find out more about her as well. This was starting to get tricky, but he supposed he would start with the little things about her first and work his way up.
"Do you have any hobbies or things that you like to do when not on duty? Like, something when it's just you," he tried to clarify, even though in his mind the question still sounded incredibly awkward. Hopefully, it made sense as to what he was asking of her.

The poke to her nose would be met with a finger pointing back at him, the look on her face quite clear. She had allowed the kiss to the hand before simply because she had not been prepared for it. Akassa did not really like to be touched by others so it was nothing against him, but her short glare should have been enough to warn him not to touch her like that again. The Princess was not angry she just wanted him to understand that he had crossed a small line. Akassa had small quirks and some might think them odd, but she was a Princess after all and used to certain treatment. Nodding to his words she found it a little surprising that he had so willingly shared the information with her if he otherwise kept it to himself. Perhaps he really did trust her as much as he said.
Her eyebrow lifts some as he remarks he will have to keep her favorite meal in mind. Why in the world would that matter? If Conri planned to ask her out to some sort of dinner he was going to be severely disappointed. Akassa almost never went “out” for dinner. Living in the palace she had food prepared for her all the time, anything she wished for at the drop of a hat. Such service came as a privilege for being part of the royal family.
When he responds to her second question the Princess couldn’t help but grin a little, watching him as he reaches back to untie his ponytail. Unlike her red bangs his blue hair was natural down to the roots. Honestly she had thought it was dyed, but it wasn’t unbelievable that it wasn’t dyed for she had seen many hair colors on different individuals…it’s just that most were not half-saiyans like herself. Shrugging some, not having any more of an explanation for his hair color than him she awaits his next question.
”Hobbies? As in what I enjoy doing on my free time? Well…I do not have that much free time and when I do get personal leave I usually spend it training. I cannot think of any other way that I would prefer to spend my time.” It was a rather boring answer, but it was the truth. Devoted to her family and New Vegeta for almost her entire life Akassa had never really developed hobbies in the normal sense. Her desire was to grow stronger, to be the best warrior she could possibly be. Pausing a moment she thinks of her next question.
”Why the change in attire? Are you trying to have some sort of image now that you are champion?” The Princess couldn’t help but smirk as she asks the question. She knew that coupled with the hair question she seemed to be targeting his style choices, but she only wished to know a little more about him. She herself always wore a simple outfit and one that she felt was quite practical, while his was a bit more…extravagant.

It seemed that his plan had worked as the Princess seemed to have forgotten what was on her mind previously as soon as he had poked her nose. Raising his hands in 'surrender' he tries to calm Akassa once more, letting it be settled that everything would go back to normal. While he would normally just leave it at the nod, this was something that he really didn't want shared with others, simply because it might change their view of him. He didn't want that just because of what he went through in the past, so, this next part would be a bit awkward for him, since it would be one of the few times he really requested something this serious. He supposed that at the same time, it fit for him to want to have a promise directly, but it was still not something he usually did.
"I know this might seem a bit forward or brash of me, however, I would prefer if you gave your word not to tell anyone," rubbing the side of his face, he already felt...odd for saying it out loud. He didn't like being so strict with people, but to him this was a serious matter, he just hoped that Akassa would be understanding of his desire to keep it a secret from others.
He had actually forgotten to keep track of time as well, but he would need to figure out when it would be august so that he could make sure to be here to celebrate her birthday. Maybe there would be someone that he could ask for that, and then he could keep track of the time from then on so as to be able to return on her birthday. He would also need to see if he could try coming up with something to do for her that would make it a special occasion. So many thoughts went through his mind before the next question from Akassa was spoken and he blinked for a moment as it processed through his mind.
"Ya know, if you don't like my style there are easier ways to tell me," he stuck his tongue out playfully, before trying to think of an answer to her question. There had been a reason for his change of style, he just needed to try remembering what it had been so that he could actually put it into words for her. It didn't really have anything to do with him being the champion...oh wait, he remembered the reason for the change now!
"Nah, it wasn't for being the champion. It was for my organization, I figured that the leader of such a thing would need to have a practical yet bad ass style to convey that he was a professional. Or was it having a bit of sex appeal since the vest reveals a bit of my chest..." scratching his cheek a bit with the clawed finger of one of his gauntlets, he wasn't one hundred percent sure on what the style was supposed to convey anymore. He just liked it since it made things easier for him in battle in a sense, he could much more easily discard his heavy training weights if the situation called for it than he could before he made this outfit.
"Well, either way it makes things easier for me. If I need to go all out on someone I can just toss aside the jacket, gauntlets, and shin guards and bam. I'm at full power with little time spent taking off all the different pieces, and I like the way it looks," that seemed to make a bit more sense in the long run of things. Now it was his turn to ask her a question, and he would need to think a bit about this one or he could just go with the first thing that popped into his head.
"What's your favorite color?" he grinned at her, it seemed like such a simple question, but he was working his way up to the bigger things as he learned about everything else as well. He figured the more they shared the more she would feel comfortable about sharing some bigger things with him, granted he didn't plan to ask anything too invasive.

His request had the Princess crossing her arms over her chest as her eyes narrow slightly. Not used to having such demands made of her by anyone, but her parents or perhaps Ninjin the Princess wasn’t sure how she felt about it. Not answering for a moment she thought it over, eyes on him as she does. In the one hand she really just wasn’t used to someone speaking to her in such a way, yet on the other hand Akassa could appreciate his forward approach. If she had learned anything about Conri Lane it was that he spoke his mind, regardless of who he was talking to. That trait was definitely something that had the potential to get him in trouble, but it was also commendable, he was no coward. Deciding on focusing on the later she makes the promise.
”You have my word Conri, I will not share that knowledge with anyone.” There was a small edge to her tone since she was not accustom to receiving a request like that, but still she did not seem angry. As for her birthday he was going to have to wait some time if he wanted to surprise her with some sort of gift. The Galactic Tournament had ended with the start of the new millennium so her birthday was still a solid eight months away. He would also have to be careful planning any type of surprise for her. Anything public would be unacceptable, making some big spectacle about her in public was only going to anger her. Then again something too personal might backfire as well, the Princess potentially taking it as more than a friendly gesture. No matter what Conri chose to do, if anything, he was going to have to be careful.
”No, it is nothing against your choice of style Conri, I just wasn’t sure of its purpose.” His extended tongue would be met with a roll of her eyes, his playful gesture met by her almost constantly serious nature. Another eye roll would come as he mentions the “badass” and “sex appeal” part of his explanation. The part about easily being able to ditch his training weights made perfect sense to her though. Akassa herself had weights sewn into her jacket, the garment easy to just shrug off should she need to utilize her true full power. Looking at him the Princess couldn’t help but think all his seemingly random actions always had a purpose behind them, the unique warrior hiding his intents behind jokes and charismatic personality.
”My favorite color? I figured that one would be obvious.” Unfolding an arm she points to the red bangs that hung down in front of part of her face. ”It’s red of course, one of the royal family’s two trademark colors.” The reason she had died her hair, despite what her step mother thought, was to pay honor to her the royal family. She was not allowed to wear the family colors at the command of Natisha, but she had not been forbidden to dye her hair. The red color in her otherwise black locks was a testament of how proud she was to be a Hattori.
”What do you think of my brother, Ninjin?” Throwing out a more serious question Akassa was very curious as to how he might answer. Ninjin, like the rest of her family, was very important to her so the way others viewed him mattered. She knew the two had fought in the tournament, Conri having knocked Ninjin out. Beyond that she wasn’t sure what interactions the two might have had. Relaxing on the bench still she looks over at him, very curious as to what he thought of her brother, Prince Ninjin.

He could tell by the expression and her body language that he had agitated her with his request, and he would apologize for it later, right now this was his main concern. It seemed that he had a way of making great impression on people though, first Tsuyo and now Akassa, although technically the first impression he had left was on Natisha on Alpha Prime. That had actually been kind of fun though, he couldn't find it in him to feel bad about poking holes into her logic. Still, he didn't enjoy making the others upset, so he should at least try to let it be known he didn't generally mean to be so demanding. It was just a part of his life he wanted to keep to himself, or well, just between them now.
"Thank you, and I apologize for requesting such a thing, but I want to make sure no one looks at me differently because of it," who would want others to look at them differently because of something that happened to them? It's not like he wasn't himself anymore, granted he had a lot more anger than he used to, but that was par for the course. He didn't want pity from others, that just wasn't something that he was cool with, plus he would rather no one find out and try to use it against him. There were probably a lot of people that would try to use that information against him somehow, he didn't know who, but better safe than sorry.
"I figured, but it never hurts to have all the bases covered," grinning, he laughs a bit when Akassa rolls her eyes, finding her seriousness to be a nice compliment to his silliness. There wasn't a whole lot of complicated thought that went into his designing of his new style, it was just more something he thought looked cool together. Plus the colors tended to go together which added to the overall appeal of it. Ah well, it made sense to him at least, and he did like his new clothes, since they added a bit of flare to his appearance.
"Oh, yeah, I guess I should have realized that. Well, I suppose you could have had a different favorite color," he laughs feeling silly for having asked that, but it still did give a definite answer. Not that he would get surprised by it later when he tried to figure it out himself. That would just turn into a little bit of an awkward moment with that, but his life seemed to have a lot of those anyways. Crossing his legs on the bunch, he turned so that he could look at Akassa better while they were talking, and listened as she asked her next question. She really did not pull any punches with her questions either, he chuckled and nodded, thinking about it for a bit to try and put his thoughts into words.
"As of now, I like him a lot more than when I first met him, not to say I didn't respect him after our fight or anything. He used to have an arrogance about him, but that's mellowed into just confidence now from what I've experienced recently. He's got a good head on his shoulders, so as long as he can think things through without being rash, I think he'll be alright. Was that kind of what you meant with the question?" he figured he would make sure and that he just didn't somehow ignore the point of it somehow. Now it was his turn to think of a question to ask her, and he couldn't really think of anything that was like the other he had been asking up to this point. So, maybe he would ask a bit more serious of a question himself now, but the issue was what kind of question would be good?
"Ah, I have a good one! What were you like as a child?" he smiled, hoping that he had asked a question that would give him good insight into who she was and who she had become. Was there any change? Had she stayed the same? This is the kind of thing he was interested in learning.

When it came down to it she was not offended with his request that she give her word to keep his secret. Akassa may have not been used to being spoken to in such away, but she did understand what it meant to keep something close to the chest. Her search for her own mother was something she had so far kept secret from everyone, not having even mentioned it to Celeh. In fact she had made sure to search for the woman only when alone, utilizing her off world time to look. Sadly her search had returned nothing yet, her mother seemingly lost somewhere on Earth. Drawn back to him as he starts to speak again the Princess slowly starts to smile.
The fact he had worried about how she felt concerning his outfit was amusing. Like she said there was no intent to mock him or his dress, it was just odd to her. Her clothing consisted of boots, pants, tank top and jacket, nothing more. Always practical Akassa preferred to wear simple close that worked well with lots of movement, combat was her main focus so the outfit had been chosen because it complimented it. Looking him up and down once the Princess truly didn’t understand how he felt comfortable fighting in such an elaborate get up, but to each their own she supposed. As for her favorite color she had assumed it was obvious, but then again maybe it was more obvious to someone that was more familiar with the royal family. Conri was far from a native of New Vegeta, at least in the traditional sense.
When he began to speak of Ninjin she would sit quietly and listen, very interested to what he thought of her brother. His answer was short, but to the point like she had wanted. Really she just wanted to know how Conri saw him, as an arrogant selfish brat like he had been or like the future King he was destined to be. It seemed to be the latter, as long as his temper was kept in check, something that could be said for many a Saiyan. Before the tournament Ninjin had been…less then savory at times, but now he was learning to be the warrior Akassa had always seen within him. ”Yes Conri, I simply wanted your assessment of him.”
His next question gives her a little pause, the woman also not used to talking about herself. Thinking for a moment she then comes forward with her answer.
”Well as you may be aware I was born to a human mother, a fling if you will of King Tsuyo. Upon my birth my mother was banished to Earth and I was raised under King Tsuyo and the Queen, Natisha. As far back as I can remember I spent time training, being taught the ways of the Saiyan military. I am sure my childhood would not be considered “normal” by most standards, but it is all I have ever known. I have always been as focused as I am now; it is my duty to serve the royal family to the best of my ability. While most children were out wasting their time playing simply games I was training, growing stronger. It may not be that exciting, but I was much the same as I am now even as a child. For a Hattori there is little time for fun, no matter what age.”
Looking over at him he might have been expecting more of a story from her, but again she did not have a normal life. The way her knew her now was the way she had always been. She was a serious woman and had been a rather serious child. For a moment she says nothing, letting him digest the answer incase he had anything he wanted to add before asking her next question.
”You now know what I was like as a child, I would like to know the opposite. I know you wish to start your own organization, but what do you plan to do with your life Conri?” She meant more on a personal level, beyond what adventures and missions he might accept through his organization. Did he plan to travel the stars fighting forever?”

It seemed that something he had said caused a smile to spread across Akassa's lips, he didn't know what it was or how it had happened, but he would be thankful for it. The fact that she was smiling was good news to him, it meant that she wasn't too upset about things and he was glad that was the case. Thinking about it, he also realized how silly his last question had been, considering that he liked the little dyed part of her hair a lot. Then again most of the time he just went with what felt like a good way to try things, his instincts were usually good about those things.
When she confirmed that he gave the answer she was looking for, he nodded and watched her carefully as she thought about the question that he had asked. The pause in her speech causing his eyebrow to raise slightly, he was curious as to why there was such a...hesitation for her to speak about her childhood like that. He supposed that it could be an issue like his family was for him, which would make sense to him. He listened closely as she spoke as well, nodding occasionally to show that he was indeed listening to what she has to say. It made sense that she considered it a normal experience since it had been all she knew, and he would not pity her either, there was nothing wrong with having different experiences as a child. She was the same person even as a child and that was fine with him, he liked who she was as a person, even if he didn't understand everything.
Akassa was Akassa, it was just that simple of an answer and he found himself smirking at the answer, oddly enough it seemed to suit what he had in mind. He did feel bad about her not having gotten to have known her mother, however, that was something that he felt every child should be able to do. Granted, he was in the same boat as her, but that didn't mean he felt any differently about the matter. When she asked her next question, he blinked for a moment in thought, she had actually brought up a good question really. There were so many things going through his mind that he hadn't given much thought to his own future, he was still technically young enough to have one, but it seemed he had forgotten that. After a bit of thinking on the subject, he nodded thoughtfully and turned his attention back to Akassa.
"Well, there are several things I plan to do. The first of which is destroying the Universal Church of One completely, and making sure that they can never come back. The next is that I plan to turn my organization into one that strives to bring about a lasting peace amongst the different people and planets. It seems a bit far-fetched, I know, but if I don't dream big then it isn't really worth dreaming in the first place, right? As for personally, for the moment I plan to travel around, but I would eventually like to find a place to settle down and perhaps find someone to settle down with as well. By settle, I mean more find a place where I feel like I fit in and stay there, I doubt I'd be able to keep still too much," he chuckled at that. Though, he thought it seemed like a pretty decently thought out plan for the future.
"Then again, maybe traveling the stars would be better. That's got a sort of man's romantic adventure theme to it, doesn't it? Traveling the stars with someone I care about and the like? I suppose it depends on if I find someone and what they are like that decides which plan I go with," he thought it sounded pretty good. He wasn't entirely sure which one he preferred to be honest, but they were both pretty good ideas. He thought about it a bit more, but he couldn't actually decide which one would be the better choice for him which made sense, he still had things to do before that time came.
"Sorry if it's not a clear answer, I tend to try focusing on what I can do now for the most part. I mean, honestly, I could very well be dead by next week and any proper plans I did have would be for naught. I just know that if I do live for a while, I plan to live my life to the best of my ability and cherish every moment of it. If there is someone I can find along the way that I can cherish as well, then I will do that as well," he spoke completely honestly. There was no point in him trying to make such elaborate sounding plans when it wasn't really in his nature. Did he plan to support himself and any potential future family? Hell yes, did he plan out everything he would be doing? Not a chance.
"Uhm, let's see, what would be a good question for you now?" he tapped his chin lightly as he looked her over, trying to think of more things that he wanted to know about her. There was probably a lot that he could learn really, but specifics were just not coming to him right now, which is what he had been trying to go for here. Mostly so that he could actually know her, a thoughtful hum coming from him as his mind tried to create a good question.
"What, if anything, would you change about yourself?" that sounded like it would work, it might give him some insight into her thoughts about herself.
