Lying on his back still Wrath was surprised at how quickly the android rose from the crouched position he landed in. While the beast had countless experience against multiple types of foes, he had never really fought a mechanical creation such as Model Zero, at least not on an equal level. The minuscule damage that his Black Sun had inflicted was far from what he had expected, the machine seeming almost uninjured from the blast. In reality it was simple, metal did not burn as easily as flesh and for that reason he had taken more damage from his own attack. Wrath was far from done, but he was in a disadvantageous situation as the android approached. The pestering saber was once again out and ready, Wrath knowing well the sting of the blade. Model Zero assumed that the alien was not about to lay still and let the blade be driven through his abdomen, his torso already having taken a slash from the weapon earlier in the fight. Shifting his arms, as if he is was attempting to intercept the blade wielding arm Wrath made sure he was to slow to stop it on purpose, the hulking creature hissing as the blade drives through his stomach. The burning blade hurt, there was no denying that, but stomach wounds were easily survivable. Through the glaring searing pain Wrath launches his counter attack. The hand that had been to “slow” to prevent the stab arrives, easily grabbing a hold of the androids slender wrist. Gripping it tightly, claws even starting to dig into the armor around the machines forearms, Wrath had no intentions of letting go. With the one arm hopefully secured the aliens other massive fist lifts up, reaching for Zero’s head now. The flesh on his arms may have been burned, but the appendages were far from useless. The size difference in the two fighters alone gave the beast an advantage when grabbing at his smaller foe. Clutching at the machines helmeted head, Wrath begins to squeeze as he applies pressure to the things head. Of course the saber remained in his stomach, but he was prepared to power through the pain. The hand gripping Zero’s wrist remained tight, not wanting him to be able to jostle the blade around. He was also aware that if Zero let go, the weapon would deactivate. (Sorry, this post feels a little sub par, but I just think its been so long I am bit out of practice. )

The android's energy blade pierced through the thick hide and the alien's stomach like butter. Ivan was intrigued by Wrath's choice, no one would have thought him to just take Model Zero's attacks so bluntly; on the other hand, the beast had been pulling all kinds of stunts this evening. Soon after, Wrath grasped Zero's wrist. The android scuttled, attempting to budge free of the alien's powerful grip, but the long and sharp talons sunk into the red and hard armor around the android's arm. It was evident there was no getting out of this one. No matter how much he moved, his arm would not budge, and if he released his sword it would deactivate and give Wrath a chance to regenerate his freshly carved wound.
Then, Wrath's roasted arm rose and grabbed onto Zero's skull. His feet lift from the ground and he hung in midair with no place to go. Ivan and The Doctor stood, wondering which action the android would take for they knew he had a number of moves under his sleeves, ones that were installed by them personally. The android could forgo his blade and release it. Although freeing Wrath from their mutual grasp, he could summon the cannon under his wrist and stop him from healing himself; otherwise, he could unlock the cannons in his chest and unleash a barrage of energy blasts -his arm taking some damage unfortunately. There were many different paths to take with his battle against Wrath. However, Model Zero would use the one which worked best in his mind. Raising his other arm, which remained free from any kind of restraints, he shot the hulking beast with his pistol, straight through the chest.
Following that action, the jewel in his head would glow as he activates his android barrier moments later to break free from Wrath's grasp while he was too occupied with energy bullet. Once he had successfully broken free, his arm would once again be able to move and the android would commence his onslaught; multiple slashes one after the other in successive session, the android would dig through Wrath's flesh without any remorse.

The machine was stuck; it had no chance of escaping the alien’s powerful grasp. Wrath applied more pressure to both the android’s arm and head. Metal creaked in response to the beast’s grip, claws digging in deeper as he squeezes. Grinning, Wrath was just fine with the burning sensation in his gut as long as he got to cave in Zero’s head. The small machine was faster that was true, but when it came to outright power the alien could not be matched. Even after having lowered his power to match that of the androids, Wrath still held the advantage, his hulking frame giving him unnatural strength. Of course he did still have that one free arm and it wasn’t long before he put it to use. Again the fact the machine did not feel like a normal opponent he was able to easily counter with his pistol, no distracting pain preventing him from thinking clearly.
Growling out as the bullet rips through his chest the beast was ready to redouble his effort with both hands, but doesn’t get the opportunity. Activating his barrier was enough to pull Zero free of Wrath’s grip, launching him up into the air slightly as the barrier shoves him back. Back down he came, leading the way with the saber he so deftly wielded. Having been a little to careless with his most recent attacks, Wrath remained on his back, body doing its best to regenerate. Normally the process was much quicker, but with the way his power was repressed it directly affected the rate which he healed. The coming slashes were only going to make things worse, every wound he suffered forcing his body to expend more energy to heal.
Model Zero would not get to strike at the alien so freely though, his body slowly starting to life higher in the air, lifted high enough so that Wrath was no longer in range. Off to the side of the arena Zex stood in silence, watching the fight still as he had been the entire time. Once in the air a sudden, hard yank would come at the pistol in his hand in a surprise attempt to yank it free of his grasp. Whatever it was that had him would not stop there, the android soon being spun in the air so that he was horizontal with the ground, facing the sky. The only real clue that the machine might get was the look of surprise on Wrath’s face as the strange force took a hold of him.

Model Zero's head piece chirred as his claws sunk deeper, already starting to crack under the intense pressure. Ivan gasped, though he tried to hide his reaction, the scientist clenched his hands so tightly over the steel bar that his knuckles whitened. The head armor over the android's head was meant to never be removed, and so it had been crafted by the strongest material he could find. Model Zero's helmet was, by far, the toughest part of his slim little body and Wrath was already starting to crack it open. However, the android would not falter just yet. He was not burdened by pain the same way Wrath did. The android felt nothing and because of this he was able to act accordingly without hesitation. The energy bullet pierced through Wrath's chest as intended. It was to no surprise, Zero thought, there was no way a man of his size and injured the way he is while grabbing onto the android with both hands -there was no way he could evade a shot from his pistol at such close range. Blood gushed from the alien's fresh wound, but Zero knew it was nothing but a distraction, a hole of that size would probably get swiped away in an instant by the creature's astounding ability to regenerate as many times as he wanted and because of this very reason he had to act quickly and swiftly without a single breath in-between. The android wondered whether the alien had any limits; regardless, he wouldn't find out until he reached Wrath's power level and forced him to reach his very peak.
The android barrier, another mechanism Ivan personally installed into the android because Zero could not yet harness the energy reserves within him. The shield spawned from the center of the crystal in his forehead, and expanded around him to cover the host's body and then pushed back at Wrath by extending five feet. The barrier sparked and crackled with destructive power, corroding the ground below into rubble as it embowed beneath and shocked the massive beast into the air. This was perhaps the first time Zero had been able to lift his foe from his feet, a great achievement Ivan thought, with red and blue sparkling eyes spectating from afar. Model Zero readied his saber immediately and prepared to slash at Wrath's flesh and have him sliced to tiny pieces. Unfortunately, to his surprise, Wrath had risen so high into the air he was out of reach. Was it possible that the beast had been hiding his ability to fly? Suddenly, Model Zero too was lifted into the air, his expression one befuddled and flabbergasted by the odd turn of events. What kind of force was Wrath doing now? In spite, the android would not stop there; not giving the matter much more thought, he aimed his pistol once more, only to have it yanked from his hands. Zero grimaced with utter confusion, and as his body was involuntarily shifted in the air, he had a glimpse of Wrath's visage. It was rare to see that beast wearing such an expressive face, not many things can surprise it. The whole thing brought him to the conclusion that Wrath was not behind any of it.
Ivan, having thought for a split second that Zero might have finally learned how to command the energy supply within him and use it to fly, soon realized it was not as it seemed. The scientist seemed very disappointed with the truth of the events that were unfolding, but his curiosity helped him get over it quickly. Model Zero now faced the sky with his back against the ground. Floating in midair, Wrath was not very far off, yet he was far enough and the android could not move a muscle regardless of his efforts. He struggled to crank his neck and look at where Prometheus Zex would be. Was he behind it all?

Beyond his initial surprise Wrath was quickly able to deduce the source behind the sudden shift in their positions. Relaxing some the beast once more wore a toothy grin, not seeming worried in the least as his body began to knit itself back together. The charred skin on his arms, layers having been burnt away by his own blast, finally started to heal now that he wasn’t focused on any type of combat. Soon released from the strange force that had lifted them both, Wrath shifts in the air to let his clawed feet clack down onto the coliseum floor. Smart enough to realize what this interference meant the hulking alien lets his energy return to its normal state, the reading from Zero’s scouter most likely rising before slowly ticking to a stop just shy of one million. Rolling his shoulders some Wrath continues to grin, not seeming at all worried about the position he had just been in moments before.
Off to the far side of the arena Prometheus floats up onto the platform, feet softly touching down as he strolls towards the android. Long robes brush along the coliseum floor as he walks, the garment hiding whatever he might be wearing over his feet from sight. Arms tucked at the small of his back the Lord of Alpha Prime scans the still floating machine over before looking over to Ivan and the Doctor. For the most part the android had preformed wonderfully with an even powered opponent. All of them knew how differently a real fight might have gone, his brothers true power more than enough to defeat any individual in The Collective. Zex even felt his brother could defeat the Icejin King Arctic if needed, but that situation was to be avoided. A fight between the two powerful creatures would leave incalculable destruction in its wake.
”Acceptable performance Model Zero, considering the low level you were competing at.” The statement directed at the android itself before Zex addresses Ivan and the Doctor. While the machine had done well considering what it was, a machine. There was one glaring thing that Prometheus had noticed and was still painfully obvious as Zero floated in the air. ”He has commendable capabilities, but is overall quite easily defeated is he not? Please tell me you are now aware of the glaring weakness that this being with “unlimited potential” has.” To Zex and Wrath it was obvious, although Ivan and the Doctor might not fully understand. With ease Prometheus was currently using his psychokinetic powers to hold the android in the air. Facing him in the right direction with his feet off the ground completely neutralized the machine once he had been disarmed. The alien Lord knew of several strong fighters with such abilities and Model Zero would be ripped apart if he were to face anyone of them in this state.

The android continued to fidget around as he attempted to get back on the ground, but all of his efforts were for naught. He watched, begrudgingly, as Wrath healed all of his wounds in no time at all and was then allowed to descend back to the hard ground. He then noticed Prometheus's approaching; there was no question about it now, the fight was over, he thought. There was nothing he could do against these strange powers Zex was demonstrating, and it was brought to light immediately. The scientists followed soon after Zex floated into the arena, Ivan nodded. Although Model Zero had performed formidably against a foe like Wrath, the fact of the matter shows he was easily subdued by the lord's psychokinetic abilities. The Doctor gasped, he had completely forgotten about those techniques for they were quite rare but powerful. Ivan gazed at the android as he floated helplessly in the air and sighed.
"Yes my Lord, we can see it now." His gaze shifted to set upon his Lordship and Wrath, "It seems we have not taken into account this type of scenario, but that is exactly why we turn to you so humbly. We are nothing but mere scientists, we know nothing of the art of fighting. We can provide the weapons and training regimens, but that's about it. Therefore, my Lord, we're thrilled and infinitely grateful that you would take time off of your busy day to meet us here." He bows before Zex and his brother and then continues to the pressing matter. "Concerning the android, how would you suggest we overcome this great weakness, my Lord?" he said.
Model Zero had power, speed, skill, Ivan had made sure the android would be unstoppable in the battlefield. Unfortunately, there were still great flaws they must overcome. Zero did not have a mentor or similar figure to actually teach him anything and the scientists knew nothing of battles, they only knew how to create weapons -but how would they counter the effects of psychokinesis? Perhaps, granting the android the ability to fly would overwhelm their ability to hold him, or could the foe simply negate that fact with said ability? He would not imply the android to learn psychokinesis, would he? The scientist grimaced at the thought. Psychokinesis was perhaps the only innate ability a machine could never learn. It was a technique for the mortals, he thought. Could an android learn such a thing? Or perhaps... the list went on and on. There were so many different theories popping up in his mind at once and they all came with their own disadvantages. The opportunity cost, the cost of each mechanism took into account the time it would take to either produce or teach through normal means, whether it would even work, the money and time needed to dedicate in the realization of this vision. There were so many factors and any of them could be a complete waste of resources just like they could also be the answer to all their prayers.
Model Zero simply stared at the star-lit void of space above as he listened to their conversation. His gun was out of reach, his sword was useless at this point, his foe was too far for the energy absorption technique, his chest was aimed at the sky so he could not deploy the energy missiles installed within his chest. It did not take very long before he agreed with Zex's conclusion. There was absolutely nothing he could do to get out of his predicament. A foe wielding such ability would dismantle him. So what should they do?

”How should you overcome it? Quickly, I do not wish for a machine I am investing in to so easily be defeated.” Was the harsh response as Prometheus turns to regard the still floating android. It was sad really, how swiftly he had been able to negate the machines assault on his brother. Thankfully for Model Zero the alien Lord was in a fine mood today for he could have taken out any stored frustrations on the now helpless android. Perhaps even order Wrath to rip him apart as Zex held him aloft. Noticing that Zero was no longer squirming in the air, having overheard or at least figured out what it was that had happened to him, the alien lets out a small sigh. Shaking his head slowly Prometheus releases the android from his grasp, letting him drop unceremoniously to the arena floor.
”MY suggestion gentlemen would be to give this creation of yours some means to fly. Not being able to take flight is a disadvantage in itself, but even more so when against a foe with powers similar to mine. My brother and I are done for today, we have other pending issues that we must see too. When you have upgraded the android to handle itself better in combat we can schedule another session. Hopefully by then he will be more than a tenth of my brother’s strength and useful to me in some way.” Of course Zex would soon be using the android on his missions to two mysterious planets, but that was only so he might have trusted eyes on the ground. Without so much as a nod to his inferiors the tall alien turns and begins to stroll away. The android was improving, but Prometheus expected perfection and what he had seen today was far from it.
Rolling his shoulders and cracking his neck Wrath moves to follow. Already it was as if the breast had taken no damage in the fight, his body back to 100% in terms of condition and power. The hulking alien felt no shame for performing as poorly as he technically had for in his mind the match had been more of an exhibition anyway. Had the machine and its creators been a real threat their body parts would have been littering the coliseum floor at this very moment instead of watching the pair exit. Glancing back at the three as the two aliens near the edge of the platform, Wrath grins at them, was the thing always grinning?

Ivan flinched in response to the Lord's harsh words. He wanted to sink his head into the cavity of his neck like a fleeing turtle. He had appeared to be so pleased with Model Zero's performance and yet the deceptive creature turns around to bite them just when they thought they were doing something good. However, he could not deny that the android -although they glorified him in words and promised perfection, they did not deliver that day as requested for the android sustained an achilles heel in his battle tactics. Not being able to fly didn't seem like such a big deal to the scientist until Prometheus pointed it out so blatantly. In truth, without the ability to fly, the android was prey to those who could, for they could fly up and out of reach like a hawk and then swoop down to claim his head. Ivan looks away in shame as Zero dropped to the ground like a rock the moment Zex released him from his binding powers. The android promptly climbed up to his feet and sheathed his saber, standing as if nothing were the matter. He could not understand their emotions of disappointment. To him it was simple, if he was not the ideal warrior his masters expected, then he would improve his performance and become that warrior they yearned for. It was written in his programming to do as he was told, and so it was also written to reflect their desires and become the image of their thoughts.
While Zex continued to bark at the scientists, Zero walked over to pick up his pistol after it had been snatched from his hands. He gazed at Wrath and absorbed all the information he had received from their little spar. A minute had barely passed and the beast was as if nothing had happened just now. His limbs were restored and all of the scratches he had dealt were gone. Meanwhile, Zero's body wavered and as electric currents sparked around him. The marks of his claws still prominent on the android's bracers and his red helmet. Wrath was a formidable foe, even if Zero had his strength and they fought at their limits, he remained superior in a sense. Although Zero could feel no pain, the damage dealt on him could not be erased so simply as drawing breath into one's lungs.
The two brothers turn their backs to the posse and return to their busy schedule. Ivan snarls in anger, clenching his fists tightly as he suppressed the urge to shout and yell at the smug lord. Not yet, he told himself, not until Model Zero was prepared to fight them toe to toe. If there was anything the scientist despised it was having to serve as another's lap dog and bite their tongue, accepting and tolerating all the foul words his superiors tossed at him. He must feel so high and mighty standing at the top, it must feel so good looking down upon these bottom feeders and having them follow your every command. Well, Zex, if you wanted perfection, Ivan would provide perfection. Next time, Model Zero's power-level would be more than he could ever imagine. For the time being, they had the challenge of engineering a float system into the android; it would be tough to do, but it was not impossible. The design would have to be something which allowed Zero to navigate the air with ease while keeping him battle ready. This project however, would take longer to develop than it would for his other mechanisms.
Wrath gazed back at them and grinned. Zero stared, his eyes unrelenting and fearless. Until we meet again.
