A month had passed since Model Zero defeated the biseijin and previous ruler of Lupin IV, King Helios. Konatsians, Hera, and Moujuujin alike set aside their century old conflict, and joined together to fight back against the tyrant; thus, The Great War had begun –hopefully the last. Plation, a great man of the konatsian people led the attack with the android’s aid and stormed King Helios’s castle atop The City of Avalon. The people were now free to live their lives without fear of further torment from the powerful wizard, but were they truly safe? Or did they replace one tyrant with another? King Ivan, as of yet, proved to be a just ruler that appealed to all his people’s needs. He had ascended to power on behalf of the late Plation, forever to be remembered as savior of Lupin IV. He would serve as a beacon of hope and salvation for generations to come.
Alas, besides ruling an entire kingdom, Ivan had other personas with their own responsibilities. First and foremost, he was a scientist, and he was also servant to Lord Zex of Alpha Prime and King Arctic of Beta Minor. Of course, that was a part of his life that no citizen of Lupin IV would ever come to know. Ivan, Model Zero, and AEVA had just departed from the planet. To the citizens, his absence was due to political matters known only to the King and his trusted allies. However, he was truly reporting back to his superiors. The planet was in good care with Lady Sayako and Lord Zalam’gar to look after it. There were still activists, loyal to the former crown, but they were nothing but protesters. The planet would survive in their short absence. –Not to mention, Ona would also remain and provide assistance if ever a necessity.
Deep in the treacherous terrain of Mount Hielo, a youth reborn through science would emerge from Ona’s Laboratory. He was now free to explore the vast new world before him and learn new things during the King’s absence. But the world was a dangerous place and Mount Hielo, a frozen and lifeless landscape of swirling icicles. The cold breeze had been said to freeze thriving flames in only an instant. Will the young boy return to the warm and safe Laboratory? Or will he venture further? If he does… will this be his end? What dangerous will he face in the great unknown…?

The young saiyan stretched his sweater sleeves over his hands as he stepped out of the laboratory and out into the wilderness. The cold winds on Mount Hielo bit the boys face, feeling like a thousand piercing daggers. After about an hour of wandering the treacherous lands, extreme bursts of violent cold winds had hit the boy rather out of the blue, and at the most odd and weirdest of times, as if mocking the young saiyan's very existence. Adrenaline and some sort of twisted and weird determination was truly the only things that would keep the boy marching on through this ice cold hell, hoping and keeping faith as he would desperately sought refuge from the unrelenting winds. It was too far to turn back. Shun would begin to cough profusely, feeling as if his lungs were on fire. It didn't help that he had forgot to eat before he left the laboratory. At this point, Shun would just be completely grateful for any little morsel of food he could get his hands on.
'Come on, Shun.. you are stronger now..' the boy thought, pushing himself little more, even though he felt like he was nearly at his breaking point. "All I need to do is just find somewhere to get out of this cold.."
Shun kept pushing, coughing slightly into the torn sleeve of his sweater.

The boy had chosen to press onward through the insidious storm, but was that wise? The deeper he went, the crueler it became. Before he knew it, the storm developed into an all-out blizzard. Everywhere he looked was congested by rapidly falling snow. A cold breeze so chilling his sensitive nose might have fallen off! Unfortunately, he had made his choice and now there was no turning back. Even if the boy had a change of heart, whose to say turning back was the way back? Behind him, there was nothing but his own footsteps imprinted on the snow; but even those would soon vanish as the falling snow quickly replace that which had been displaced. To his left, the silhouette of what appeared to be a leafless tree. To his right, impending doom. However, as the boy continued to trudge the precarious path, he would come across what appeared to be a cave. If he entered the cave, he would find it empty. There were logs in the center, and a match lying nearby on the ground. The boy could take refuge in the cave, but the logs were already burnt out. Even if he could not warm his body, the cave would protect him from the cold breeze.

The cold snow was heavily pounded all around the Saiyan boy as the sky was instantly illuminated by a brilliant white. All shun could hear was the whispers and whistling of the cold winds across his ears. He continued on through the harsh storm with his head bent down and his arms tightening around each other, looking as if he was hugging himself. Preserving heat. His feet shuffled along the cold, deep snow of the wastes with a silent, blank face. He looked up for a second and to be honest, the place nearly had the atmosphere of a winter graveyard. He started to think, 'Am I going to die here? Is this it?' Images of his mother and rabbit played and flashed through his mind. He began shaking his head to rid himself of the imagery and cleared his throat, starting to pick up his pace. 'No! no.. it cannot end here!'
As the boy continued shambling and marching forward, he came close to the mouth of a cave. He gave a bitter sweet, weak smile and fought through the blizzard, finally reaching the entrance of the cave. Shun poked his little head into the cave and very carefully began to shuffle into it.

The cave was wide and dark with frozen stalactites protruding from the roof. It seemed as though someone had been inside before, but not quite a while. At the center of the cave, there was burnt out firewood and scorch-marks spread radially across the floor. Someone must have started a fire, but there was no telling how long. There was a match lying near the fireplace, but the wood was all used up. The boy could start a fire to warm himself up, but where would he get the firewood from? Suddenly, the sound of an unidentified creature moaning could be heard in the distance. If the boy turned, he could see the silhouette, blocked out by the unrelenting snow storm. Would the boy investigate? He already had his hands full trying to keep warm and that wasn't working out very well. The sound emitting from this creature implied it was large, a dangerous beast that might just trample over the little rabbit boy. Then again, he was hungry and plants would not dare grow in this wasteland -much less carrots.

As Shun progressed into the cave, he blearily blinked, looking at the used firewood. Glancing down, Shun could see his own breath and that he was shaking violently from being so cold. He had hoped he was not frost bitten. His teeth began to chatter and the boy breathed out softly, his hair was ruffled up and wet from the onslaught of unrelenting snow and winds along with random strands of hair sticking out from it. He tightened his arms around himself, moving them slightly, hoping to cause a slight friction to warm himself. Then he snuggles the bottom of his face into his ripped sweater. The heaviness of the long and cold and windy day starts to weigh on the tired and hungry rabbit boys shoulders.
...
'What was that!?' The young saiyan's rabbit ears rise and twitch, picking up the sound and he groggily raised his head, turning around to look towards where the sound was coming from. The sheer size of the silhouette made Shun's legs tremble and his ears fall to the side. The boy would quickly look around for something he could use for a weapon. There was nothing but that used firewood so he picked it up with his cold little hands, he gulps and gets them to stop trembling as he carefully inched towards the unidentified creature preparing to try and engage it.

As the boy trudged further with a wooden stick in hand, he would pass between two pillars of frozen rock. Upon inspection, he would notice that the pillars were actually part of an entire chain of mountainous terrain circling around what appeared as a frozen lake. The entire area was enclosed by the walls, as if it were all a giant bowl. Towards the center, where land and ice met, there was a colossal four-legged creature stuck in-between. It was perhaps ten feet. Its body was covered in thick fur and decorated with bizarre structures which resembled that of buildings and Victorian decor, however it was not armor nor dressing as they formed part of its actual body. It appeared hostile, but it was also in distress. The beast mourned and wailed as half of its body had broken through the thick ice, he was stuck in the lake. "Ghwwaaaarrrgggghhh" it roared, a guttural sound which shook the entire landscape. Piles of snow rolled off the mountainous walls. Its vibrant power worsened its condition and instigated for the ice to crack further. Slowly it would fall deeper into the lake, hind legs kicking underwater, its front legs sliding off the frozen surface. If only he had opposable thumbs! What will the boy do?

Shun could see that the creature was in some serious trouble and he dropped the stick, letting his breath leave him in a soft rush. With the Saiyans eyes falling closed to protect snow from blinding his eyes, He flung himself out into the harsh blizzard, trudging through the deep, cold snow and shielding his eyes from the white out. As Shun inched and shuffled on towards the beast his breathing and coughing came out ragged and sometimes erratic. It was short and quick, his little chest rising and falling quickly and his heart was hammering in his chest. Shun struggled through the snow and finally came upon the creature. His entire being felt numb but he knew that if the creature was going to survive he would have to pull it up out of the lake. With a low growl, Shuns senses fully brought him back, his eyes opening wide and before he knew it, he didn't feel any pain, hunger or cold. All he felt was the need to save the beast. He furrows his brows in concentration and bares his teeth using his unknown might the little saiyan boy pulled and tugged at the creatures leg, hoping to drag it back onto land and safety. "Grr.... C-come on!" He lets out.

The cold breeze only seemed to worsen. Picking up with every step the boy made as if the wind had a life of its own. The large beast moaned, its voice a clear indicative that it was in distress. As the boy grabbed onto its legs, the beast panicked and kicked frantically. The ice cap quickly began to shatter as a result and its body sunk deeper into the frozen lake. The wind whistled and swirled like a churning storm, and the harder the boy seemed to pull, the more the beast appeared to slide back against the crumbling surface. Regardless, thanks to the young boy’s perseverance and dedication, he would soon discover the new found strength bestowed upon him by Ona, the strength Ivan promised. Just when it seemed hopeless and bleak, the beast’s body would gradually rise from the lake until it had been saved. It appeared the boy’s efforts were not in vain… The large beast collapsed on the snow, most likely exhausted by its life threatening event. However, the blizzard continued. If the boy paid attention, he would notice a mysterious figure walking over the frozen lake. In an instant, everything froze –literally-. The wind vanished, the snow was suspended in midair, and there was not a sound to be made. Just as the silhouette took another step on the ice, it melted. Like a wave, the effect spread from the tip of its toes and rippled throughout the entire area. It only took minutes before an imposing yet somewhat nurturing force washed over the boy and the beast. The snow and the ice all progressively vanished as the ripple advanced and stopped at the encircling walls. Before he knew it, Shun would find himself covered in warmth and surrounded by green grass and flowers. The leafless tree which had been behind him, covered in snow, was now lavished with healthy leaves. “Thank you.”The lake was not frozen anymore. The water was as clear as glass; over it, stood a woman several feet away from the boy. Half of her face was concealed by what appeared to be a bird’s skull, but with the horns of a ram, and peacock feathers sticking out from behind. The beak was long and narrow, bending down towards its end. The skull had black eyes painted with ink, which branched down like streaming tears and converged with her fair light skin. Overall, she appeared like a human with long silver hair. She wore no clothes, but her body was blotched in the same ink the eyes were made of, along with a vine of leaves and white carnations sprouting from their buds. Suddenly, everything was completely at peace. [NPC has spawned: dragonballawakening.proboards.com/thread/1432/lupin-iv-overview ]

Shun had felt an unfamiliar warmth as he stood in place, and it had surprised him as the harsh winds and cold snow around him starts to change, The tired saiyan boy sighed as he fell back against the trunk of the tree exaggeratingly, sliding down and finally sitting. The boy would shoot his eyes up towards the green leaves and sky. "If i'm dead.. That would just suck. A-At least the weather is nice now.." He began to shut his eyes tightly, seeing a woman before they closed.
'W-Wait.. Am I seeing things?..'
The boy thought that the lack of food in his stomach would have began to make him see things. Regardless, Shun had groaned and slowly opened his eyes, black locks of his saiyan hair draped over his face, blurring his sight. As the boy brushed his hair away from his face to get a better view, his eyebrows furrowed together like he was thinking about something. As he turned his head slightly to the woman to see her figure, Shun murmured. "She said thank you.. Maybe she is friendly.." thoughts spun rapidly like a tornado in the boy's mind.
Shun groaned softly and moved, his legs widened slightly as he drew his arms upwards, doing his best to grab onto the tree to support himself up. At this point his arms felt like noodles. "M-My name is Shun! I am a Saiyan!" Shun yelled out to the woman, slowly getting to his feet only to stumble back onto the tree from being tired. All Shun could do at this point was look at her. Taking in her appearance, The woman looked so peaceful and rather cool looking. As Shun went to move again, a low growl rumbled in his stomach. He was so hungry that he felt as if he could eat a horse.

Their surroundings were filled with life and perpetual warmth. Everything was inexplicably green and alive up to the large mountain walls that enclosed the lake's perimeter; past those walls, the blizzard seemed to continue unhindered. It was as if they were in a safe-zone, but how could it be? The Mysterious Woman took a step out of the water and onto the lush grass. She was not wet, and any remaining snowflakes lingering around her would soon evaporate and vanish. She gently touched the fallen beast and after a few seconds, the creature would climb to its feet and cheerfully howl with new found health. The Mysterious Woman smiled softly as the child attempted to climb to his own feet but stumbled and grappled the tree behind him as he fell. The woman raised her arm horizontally in front of her with palm facing up and slowly curled her fingers back as if she were commanding something to approach her. An instant later, the roots of the tree behind Shun would sprout from the ground and gently aid the boy in his attempt to stand.
"Nice to meet you, Shun. I know not what a saiyan is, but I can tell you have a good heart." The Mysterious Woman's voice was as soft and gentle as she felt. Her smooth aroma soon filled the area, enough to lull the fiercest of beasts into a pleasurable slumber. Soon after, the boy's stomach would start to grumble. She knew exactly what he needed. "For saving this creature, allow me to reward you." The woman raised her hand once more. Suddenly, juicy red apples ripe for the taking would grow on the tree.

Shun shivered a bit as he moved his head to look at the beast. He smiled and sighed. The boy then takes a deep hurried breath as he peels himself up off the ground and takes an apple, his legs becoming wobbly and as soon as he rises he falls back to the ground, taking a huge bite out of the apple, looking up at the lady. It was a good and tasty apple, something the little boy had direly needed, for it had been far too long since his last meal. The outfit in which he wore was also torn and shredded but he did not worry about this much, it would only come to look like that after all of the sharp winds and snow from the planet as he traveled. It was difficult to say how far and how long the saiyan boy had traveled but it felt a lifetime of eternal pain for him. Shun's face twisted slightly in happiness, as he swallowed moving his gaze and looking up at the woman. Could the saiyan child truly be a lucky rabbit? Even when his luck streak had been on such a terrible note?
The boy struggled his way up the tree again, apple in hand of course, looking at the woman, "W-What is your name?..."

The Mysterious Woman approached the four-legged creature as the saiyan started climbing onto the tree for another apple. Her hand passed over the beast's bountiful fur, caressing it. The creature would moan pleasantly and settle on the green grass by folding its legs. She studied the child, thinking it peculiar how he possessed the ears of a rabbit and the tail of a monkey, yet appeared human.
"My name is..." Suddenly, a soothing and tranquil gust of wind washed over them. The large beast moaned, and the mysterious woman's silver hair flowed along with the rustling leaves of the tree the boy had climbed on, and the blades of grass dancing at their feet. Everything was in total peace and harmony. The woman smiled upon inspecting the child more and covered her lips with a hand to suppress a giggle. She couldn't help but think Shun looked funny. "Do all saiyans have rabbit ears and a monkey tail like you?" She inquired, still passing her nurturing hands over the beast lying next to her.

Shun crawled on the soft grass over to the woman. As Shun waddled around like a penguin, he took another bite of the apple. "I really do not like winter," the boy murmured in irritation as his eyes rised up at the mysterious woman looming over him. As his eyes trailed up and down, shun did a double take when he saw up close that the womans hair was as beautiful and silver as the glorious moon's beams on a calm winter's night, skin as pale and smooth-looking as the petals of a pink lily. All Shun could do was stare at her. The boy then gave the woman a little grin... one that was quite full of impish mischief. The young saiyan childs mind decided to decode her appearance and came to the conclusion that she was one very attractive individual— The woman had an alarming sense of ethereal and whimsical beauty and grace about her, almost.. elvish or faerie-like... and most definitely inhuman. It was… rather strange being this close to the woman. Shun couldn't quite explain it. Nor the fact that he was blushing like an idiot. He just stared at her with his wide eyes. The womans voice was so alluring... smooth, almost—yet it was playful? err.. sultry?... Again, it was just something that Shun could not exactly put into right words or thought.
"Y-You are p-p-p-p-p-p..." Shun swallowed warily. "PRETTY!!!!! a-and yes... j-just the tail!!! n-no rabbit ears" Shun gulps and hides his face in his shirt while he is at the woman's feet, blushing and trembling yet at the same time he finishes his apple.

The mysterious woman blushed slightly and smiled at the young boy as he buried his face in his shirt. Her gaze shifted to the resting beast beside her and she adopted a solemn disposition. "This creature is a child whose lost its herd. Ever since Zero liberated our land from the dark wizards, they had been free to roam the planet and embrace its warmth. But the moujuujin had lived within these mountains for centuries, and some of them -like this one- had adapted to living in this frozen fortress. Sometimes, people as well as creatures, have a hard time letting go of their suffering. Out of fear of the unknown, they prefer suffering what is familiar. Do you understand?" The mysterious woman glanced at the young boy, and although she knew not of his past or what he had been through, she could see his wandering eyes full of curiosity. "He's a little bit like you, don't you think? You're both young and pure, there are so many adventures and discoveries waiting for you in the unknown. However, you can't let the unknown startle you; as it is only those who risk going too far whom can possibly find out how far they can go."
