Zeke walked out of the arena, but stopped. He stepped back as the crew hauled Ninjin by on a stretcher. Zeke pulled one of the medics aside and pulled a small pouch from his coat.
"Make sure he wears his armor next time. And give him this for his recovery..."
The medic looked in the pouch. "Is this... you'd give one of these up?"
Zeke nodded. "His rib's were injured, weren't they. I had no idea when I blasted him. No healing tank will have him ready for his next battle with all that damage, and it's clearly not working properly."
Zeke knew someone of equal power didn't go down that bad from a blast to the ribs. That's partly why he ended it fast. The other reason was anger... that still had to be dealt with. Zeke watched the medic run off before he turned and headed off towards the Stands. He had no idea that Akassa was already searching for him as well.

Storming down the halls the look on Akassa’s face was enough to warn most to get out of her way. After her prelim loss to her brother most knew who she was and what family she belonged to so they parted before. The half-saiyan ignored them all for there was only one individual she wanted to speak with at the moment and that was Ezekiel NeCross. Making her way through the crowded hall, many having left their seats after the match to get some food before the next match began.
Ezekiel had given in; let Ninjin move on in the tournament only after her had defeated him. Anyone watching would have been able to see that the Prince had been bested, yet he was the one going on. The darkly clad hybrid might as well have spit in Ninjin’s face if he wanted to disrespect him and in turn disrespect Akassa. Beyond that the Princess had a burning feeling that he had held back against her in their spar, the sudden end to their fight a way of getting out of it without showing his true potential. If that was the case then in their very first meeting he had treated her like a fool, not fighting her at his fullest.
Making her way down several floors the Princess had no idea he was making his way up towards her, the two working their way around the stadium in opposite directions, destined to run into each other. When Akassa rounds the next corner she reaches the point in which their paths intersect. His brown hair and all black attire were not easy to miss. Clenching her jaw for a moment she yells out to him, her anger plainly evident in her tone and the volume of her normally quiet voice.
”Ezekiel! Do you mind explaining to me what just happened out there?!” The hybrid was quite literally yelling down the hallway to him, her brown eyes focused on his as she continues to make her way towards him. The sudden loud shout drew some attention, the distracted individuals stopping in front of her, but they did not hinder her progress. Shoving them gently aside with relative ease the Princess presses onwards intent on getting to him. Before their interaction had ended on a positive note and she had seemed to enjoy herself, but now she was pissed.

The people didn't seem to want to get out of his way. He had let his Overdrive fade out and turned a corner to head upward only to hear his name yelled out. Few people called him Ezekiel...
He turned to face her, moving closer so he could actually hear what she had to say. "It seems you want answers, just as I want to explain."
This was too loud and crowded for them to talk in. Zeke was ready to take it elsewhere, but decided to get it in a nutshell first. He assumed she was angry about his injury, he didn't realize that her anger was in his forfeit.
"I'm sorry about my attack on your brother. I assure you, he will be fine." He looked around. "Can we speak somewhere more quiet? possibly more private? I doubt you want your family matters overheard on any scale."
He felt like it had to be done. However, if Ninjin thought the same as Akassa, Zeke would have to go spell it out to him later. Ninjin had to feel what it was like to be the one in the dirt. And Zeke was far from sorry for that. He hoped he could get Akassa to understand, but he had no idea what she would think. It would be a shame to jeopardize a possible business asset and training partner...
He could do business elsewhere too. But why did he feel like... he didn't want to? He kind of liked training with Akassa, as she was one of the few who got along with hi as they fought that time. And he found her curiosity in him amusing s well. Really, he was ready for her to freak out and tell him off. That's how most women he's dealt with ended up going about things, Zeke just learned to deal with it and move on.

Akassa was in fact about to carry on their conversation right in the middle of the crowded hallway, her current anger overpowering her normally rational mind. When he starts to propose they speak somewhere else she was about to object, thinking he was trying to get out of talking with her and trying to postpone their conversation. However, when he mentions she probably doesn’t want her family matters overheard she seems to suddenly realize that many eyes were already upon them, her loud entrance into the hall having drawn plenty of attention.
Without a word she shoves past him, motioning with her hand for him to follow along. No words came from her lips as she starts to shove her way down the hallways once more. In such a large structure there were few places in which one could escape the massive crowd, unless you happened to be one of the staff members that had access to employee only sections. Sure the Princess could have “gained” access to said areas if she wanted, but it would not bode well for her family if she started blowing doors off their hinges. Instead she leads him to the only other semi private place she can think of, one of the preparation rooms down below the stadium.
There were a number of these rooms and although they were basically extravagant locker rooms they had been cleaned up rather nicely once the field of fighters had diminished. With so few left now she was not surprised to find it empty at the moment, the Princess leading the way into the large room. It had benches and lockers along with plenty of space for fighters to move about and stretch before their matches, several comfortable pieces of furniture having been installed since the preliminary rounds had finished. Towards the center of the room she turns to face him, her arms crossing over her chest.
”Now explain to me what point you were trying to make by forfeiting. Was it simply for the enjoyment of insulting my family?” Anger drove Akassa’s words as she does not try and hide why she was angry. It was true she had met Ezekiel not that long ago, but she had felt she could trust him and had respected him. Now he had gone and made a fool of her family and she wanted to know why. The Princess knew little of the reasons behind his actions or the words spoken between Ninjin and him.

Zeke followed behind the angry Princess. People didn't wan't to stay out of the way, so Zeke made them. A little Psykinetic bubble around himself that nobody could see, he just pushed it through. It would have been comical to watch them bump into what seemed to be nothing and get pushed aside if it wasn't for the situation.
They entered one of the combatant's preparation rooms as she began to speak again. He shook his head halfway through her sentance.
"I wasn't insulting your family, Akassa."
Zeke walked over to a locker and leaned against it. "Look at your brother. He's in line to be king... and he treats people like dirt, even his own sister! Imagine that for a moment. What would that mean for the Saiyan people..."
He gave her a second.
"Ninjin has the makings of a great warrior, but a miserable king. If he has any chance in being a good king down the road, he has to know what it's like to be on the receiving end of his own kind of actions."
Zeke looked down now, focused on a crack in the floor. "And I forfeited... because I have no reason to continue fighting here. He does. That's the simple truth, Akassa. He want's to win this whole thing while I just wanted to prove a point to him. Why deprive him of the whole tournament? Would that have been better?"
He looked her in the eyes with his last words. He was pretty much asking her if it was right to take away the chance for one person to fight for a goal and take that chance yourself to fight for nothing. In other words... Zeke avoided doing to Ninjin what Ninjin had done to Akassa. He took her chance at fighting for something bigger.

The Princess’s nostrils flair some when he mentions the treatment she received at Ninjin hands during their match. Finding it aggravating that he uses that as his example of how he treats people even if the back of her mind she knew it was true. It also meant he was watching that rather humiliating moment of hers, her pride taking yet another jab for that loss. The last part of his statement before pausing gets her to grind her teeth some, the Princess not liking the idea of Ninjin treating their people anything close to how he had recently treated her.
Surprisingly his next words were a compliment to Ninjin although a shallow one as the end of his sentence was in insult. Ninjin had been cold and brutal in their match during the preliminary round, but he was still her brother and future King, so she did not take insults directed at him well. Her mouth opens as Ezekiel’s eyes dip to the floor about to berate him when he starts to speak once more. Now his words confused her…he hadn’t wanted to deprive him of the tournament? If he had no reason for continuing on in the tournament then why had he entered at all?
Akassa was not afraid to meet his eyes as she starts to speak, taking a step towards him. Despite her intellect she had missed the point he was trying to make. She did not realize the fact that he had not denied Ninjin the chance to fight for his goal, while Ninjin himself had shattered Akassa’s chance of meeting her own.
”Of course it would have been better! Instead you humiliate him in front of millions by letting him win! I thought you had a little more respect for my family and me than that! Does this mean during our spar when your technique backfired it was because you where holding back against me and looking for a way to end our match?” Her arms would unfold from her chest as she yells at him as her hands clench into fists. Beyond the fact he had insulted Ninjin by letting him win it seemed she assumed he had done the same with her.

Now respect was a touchy topic to Zeke. Respect her family? Why, because they were Royalty? Zeke despised that almost as much as he hated when others issue undue disrespect. And Dubstep music. Damn noise.
"Please tell me... you don't honestly believe that your entitled to respect because of your blood... I can understand it if I were one of your people or a guest on your moon. But I am neither right now. I do respect you and your younger brother Leke simply because you earned it. Ninjin rightfully lost it with me. Any other family haven't made an impression yet. That's the way it is with not only me, but most places outside your moon and most people who aren't not under your rule."
He was getting angry now. The royalty was showing in her now, and it irritated Zeke.
"Those people watching don't give a damn about your family, Akassa. They wanted a damned show! Ninjin will do better then me in showmanship anyway, the only reason I'm here is because I was asked to enter by someone. Asked to prove myself a capable warrior, and I did just that. I didn't need to or even care to win... let alone be here!"
This damned Blade Hermit better be worth this stress. The damned royal family were known for thinking too highly of themselves and worried far too much what other's thought. If Zeke told Akassa that her makeup was too heavy or her hair was full of static, she would probly have her servant whom tends to such thing blasted to hell. Disrespect her family? People on the moon had no choice but to show the royal family respect and everyone else didn't really have to care. It didn't even matter anyway, did it?
"Oh and our fight. It was a screw-up, actually. It takes time to master every single detail of every single type of matter out there, you have no idea how just one small thought could turn one thing into another thing completely different."
He stood up straight and cracked his neck.
"And if you don't believe me, then I can show you. I'll gladly fight you right here, right now. I'll gladly defeat you to show that I wasn't holding back!"
He stood to the side and looked her in the eyes. Would she believe him? Except his challenge? Zeke couldn't guess... he actually wished this fight just hadn't happened. He looked forward to their next meet There was just something about her. But of course, nothing could unfold in Zeke's favor. Zeke wondered how often this kind of thing would happen...
God damnit.

Of course she wasn’t entitled to respect, but she sure as hell deserved it. Even so the Princess was a little taken off by his words, having a little trouble processing them. He stated that Leke and herself had earned his respect while Ninjin had not. As far as she knew the only experience Ezekiel had with Ninjin prior to their match was watching her match with him. That just didn’t make any sense, he had proven himself a powerful and determined warrior in that fight, and how could that have caused Zeke to lose his respect for him? Was it simply because of his treatment of Akassa? The small revelation confused her for Ninjin was still the Prince and she just his sister, his treatment of her in a match should not matter.
It was not that she had no respect for herself, but in her mind she had lost because she was too weak. If she had been stronger Ninjin actions towards her would have been stopped by her own hand. Perhaps it was different to someone that was not part of their Kingdom? For those not loyal to the crown did the family’s station and relationships mean nothing above the next families? Just as with their first meeting the Princess found him confusing and frustrating, yet despite her clenched fists she could not bring herself to send one towards his jaw.
”Well then you do not know my brother well enough! He may be brash and even barbaric at times, but he is deserving of everyone’s respect. The same goes for my father; he has raised me to be the warrior I am.” His own raised voice made the Princess realize that she had been yelling, her tone dropping down some as she reigns in her temper a little. Perhaps his actions were not done out of disrespect…but still she found herself defending her family.
As for his explanation of their spar she was not convinced, her eyes narrowing some as he again tries to explain the complexity of his technique. As he stands and moves to her side her eyes do not leave him, staying focused on him even as he rather boldly challengers her. This close it would be easy to see her jaw clench some at the outright challenge, her Saiyan blood begging her to accept, never mind the fact he claimed he would defeat her.
”Defeat me? You speak as if you believe you can do it with ease. Do not think just because you bested my wounded brother that you can beat me.” Deep down she was still unsure if he had been holding back against her and what his true power might be, but her Saiyan pride would not allow her to back down from such a bold challenge. Turning to face him now she spreads her arms out to the sides, her hands open wide as she takes a single step back.
”Take your best shot.”

She didn't want Zeke to hold back this time.
She wanted him to take his 'best shot'.
Fair enough.
Zeke rose a hand as if he were going to blast her... but instead the smoky black Ki formed on the floor and on a locker behind her. Lockers in these rooms were designed so people couldn't simply break into them with a simple punch, they would have to be durable. The material they were made up of would shoot out and wrap around her spread arms to pull her backward, unless she realized what he was using.
Should he succeed or even if it provided a moment of distraction, Zeke would blast forward with his left fist clenched and aim directly for the soft spot above the gut and just under her ribs. A connection like that could be followed by a quick withdrawal and a well placed kick to the face with those steel lined boots of his.
"Maybe I'll have to meet Ninjin again later, get to know him!" He said mockingly.
"And don't go thinking I assume this will be easy at all, I expect a fight."
Zeke hadn't been this angry in a long time. Who was she to say he didn't know Ninjin? He knew his kind, they were quite common. Always thinking they are better and willing to step on anyone in their way. A typical Saiyan. Zeke was quite pleased that he was only half at this point.
His rational mind was slipping though. He was there fighting with the princess... not on friendly terms. He didn't care. He had some anger bottled up and this fight was letting it go. Anger towards someone else quite like Ninjin...
Zeke never did look into why his father's bar burned to the ground. He never did return to Earth to see if he was out of the coma. That self absorbed, arrogant prick made Zeke feel like nothing for years. He just pushed it down and let it out bit by bit against those who deserved it.
Akassa... was an exception.

Akassa stood still as he raised his hand towards her, more than ready to take a blast from him. Instead she was in for a surprise when what appeared to be metal from the lockers behind her wrapped around her arms. With a quick jerk it yanked her back against the lockers, pinning her to it for a moment. Smirking she starts to force her right arm forward, the metal groaning and creaking in protest as it begins to give. Having seen him use his technique before she was not as surprised by it as during their first encounter, and she had learned a little about how he fought. In their previous fight he had used his ability to manipulate matter to set her up for an attack more than do damage directly.
Having not taken her eyes off him for that long she sees him coming right for her. It was true her arms were pinned against the locker, but the rest of her could move some. Twisting to the side a little she lifts her right leg up, bringing it up into the path of his fist so that is slams into the side of her leg instead of her body.
Again her eyes would narrow as that mocking tone enters his voice. Like multiple times before though he catches her off guard with his second line. Despite the fact they were in the middle of argument and soon to be fight he did respect her, and she in fact respected him. That was the reason she had been so angry in the first place. Akassa had just expected…different from him, perhaps it had been unfair for her to act the way she had. His words about not everyone owing the royal family respect had struck her more than he might have realized for Ezekiel was actually the only person not under her families rule she had really ever interacted with to this extent. His views were not ones she was accustom to hearing.
Looking at him she hesitates a moment, almost as if undecided how to continue despite the fact he had indeed just attacked her. That hesitation only lasts a moment though before her pride and fighter spirit kicks in. Lashing out with the foot she had raise the Princess aims to shove him back or at least get him to jump back from her. If that worked she would start to rip her arms free of the metal, a couple pieces of it leaving scratches down her bare arms.
If her kick worked and she was able to get free the Princess takes a step forward, unleashing her full power as she levels her gaze at him once more. Again there was hesitation though. Part of her wanted to pummel him, just beat him all around the coliseum yet…did he really deserve her anger? Was all her anger really directed at him or was the sting of her loss still too fresh? Perhaps it was her own short comings that had her so angry and not what he had done.

He had forgotten about her legs. He should have bound them as well, he figured. She managed to kick him back for a moment witch gave her time to rip free of the metal. Zeke whipped around and kicked his overdrive in, matching her power output.
The two locked glares from across the room, fueled with anger and ready for a fight... but the two did the exact same thing. Both hesitated. Both just stood there for a moment, but was it that? to Zeke it felt like a little longer... why didn't she go directly at him? Why didn't he come back with another attack right away?
He knew the reason in the back of his head. He could only picture all the people he'd killed... how they died so easily from a stab or a Matter spike from nowhere... He didn't want that for Akassa. He realized that he did hold back before because he didn't want to hurt her. But was that different now? Hell, maybe she was stronger and he couldn't hurt her anyway. But he could catch her off guard... get lucky... or just be wrong about her being stronger.
He relaxed for a moment, some of the green glow faded from his eyes. "You... you don't rally want to do this, do you."
An honest question. If she said yes, then it was on. He didn't know what he would do if she said no... attack anyway? calm down? But then she might attack him off guard. Maybe he wouldn't fight back. Zeke only knew he was angry for a pile of reasons, and Akassa was about to become his stress relief. But he knew she didn't deserve it, he just wanted to attack out of anger.
He decided to just wait a moment and see what she did.

Standing across from him her adrenaline was pumping, yet she made no movement against him. For some reason it just didn’t feel right to be angry with him, to want to take her rage out on him. Seeing the light in his eyes die down a little she also visibly relaxes, her arms dropping to hang at her sides. Hearing his words she lets out a sigh, her aura diminishing as if the sigh had blown it away from her. Powered down now she starts to let her guard down, relatively confident he wasn’t going to attack her.
”Of course I do, but not like this.” Pausing for a second she takes in a breath, straightening up a little for she was about to do something she never did. Few people ever received an apology from Akassa Hattori. Even in most cases in which she was wrong the Princess usually just walked away, her pride usually preventing her from being civil. ”I…apologize Ezekiel, you are not deserving of my anger. My failure to advance in the tournament is still too fresh in my mind. I suppose seeing you give away your chance to proceed after defeating Ninjin was just too much.”
Akassa did not like this, she felt almost vulnerable as she explained herself to him. With a rare lack of confidence she felt very exposed, not comfortable at all. Perhaps it was the way he was so honest and straightforward with her that she was opening up a little or perhaps it was something more. Either way the half-saiyan didn’t want to think on it any longer. Not having realized her eyes had dipped down to the ground some her head snaps back up as she offers him an awkward smile.
Without another word she heads for the door, planning on moving right past him if he were not to intercept her. Akassa was almost always on the receiving end of apologies so she was not used to delivering them herself, she didn’t like it. When it came down to it though she felt it was worth it. Ezekiel was someone she considered a friend and she hoped her anger had not shoved to large of a wedge between them.

He was surprised, but he shouldn't have been. She was a Saiyan, of course she wanted to fight. But the Human shows through as well... she had her limitations. She didn't want to fight Zeke out of anger. Zeke let the surprise passed along with his energy.
She walked on past him towards the door, he just stood there, processing her apology.
"Akassa..."
He turned around to look at her. "I... I should be the one to apologize. For attacking and yelling at you... and I am sorry if I offended your family, though it was not my intention. When I fought your brother... I wasn't exactly seeing your brother in my mind. It was... well, someone else."
Someone worse, really. Zeke walked a little closer to her then.
"I should try to get to know him better... once he's over the whole..."
He patted his hand on the side of the Sword on his hip, remembering the slight impalement thing. To be honest, Zeke didn't think Ninjin would ever get over that, nor would he have a chance to get to know Ninjin on any civil ground. Unless they had Akassa around or found something in common.
Zeke was also not used to apologies. Usually when he was yelling at someone, he meant to keep them an enemy. But it wasn't wise to piss the royal family off... though though it didn't really matter to Zeke. He could just go back to Earth. There was only one problem down there, and it was hopefully still in a coma.

Akassa stopped as he spoke her name. She didn't turn to face him right away, her head simply swiveling to look at him. Calmer now his words were not ignored or blocked by her rage. Honestly she had not expected such an apology from him considering how angry he had been before. It seemed his anger has been just as misplaced as hers. As he steps closer she turns around completely in order to face him.
"It is fine Ezekiel, I see you were in fact trying to help him even if it was in an unorthodox way. My defeat at the hands of my brother tought me a lesson in respect and I hope his near defeat tought him one as well." There was still disappointment in her voice for she had come so close to winning only to suffer that horrible loss. Towards the end of their match she had been sure she would defeat him and thoughts like that were disrespectful in themselves. Perhaps if she had shown him more respect as an equal opponent then she wouldn't have lost.
"Hopefully in the future you can...he isn't all that bad when he isn't riding so high on his horse." Of course she spoke more of their younger days when the two of them were rather close. Deep down she hoped it might one day get back to that although she doubted that it would happen, they were just so different now, so competitive. Maybe if she tried harder they could become closer... Either way if Ezekiel was to continue his friendship with Akassa he was going to need to at least put up with Ninjin.
Looking at Ezekiel, the two of them standing rather close, she was glad they were not blindly attacking each other. Akassa had few friends and did not want to jeopardize her relationship with any of them. Yet...she still wanted to test herself against him, needed to test herself against him.
"Ezekiel, would you still be interested in fighting me again, but in a more suitable area than this?" She motions to the locker room, an idea starting to form in her head. Hopefully he would want to for this whole argument and string of apologies had made her uneasy and what better way to get their friendship back to normal than to fight. It was, afterall what had lead to the start of their friendship.

Zeke was also glad that this turned out better than he had expected. A few seconds ago, he had been laying out plans to turn the locker room into a war zone. He would have to keep his thoughts in check from now on, this wasn't an enemy before him. It was just... he wasn't used to fighting people for sport or fun...
"Well Akassa... I'd gladly fight you again. But I must confess... I did hold back in our fight. Please understand, I utilize a bladed weapon in combat along with my Matter Manipulation. If I were to fight you at my full potential, I could do more harm than a punch or a blast..."
Zeke stepped back, turning his back to lean against a locker beside him as he crossed his arms. He lust looked at the leather... materialized leather of his coat and thought back.
"It takes little to create a chain to wrap tight around a target. Even less to have a spike of matter come out behind an enemy and impale them by surprise."
He looked up at her.
"I have to hold back, Akassa. I must because my full potential... is honed to kill my opponent, not to bludgeon and wear them down. And after Ninjin..."
Another reason he decided to walk out of the tournament. He eventually could have killed someone if he continued, that would just be bad for everybody. It was better to keep that away from those who didn't deserve it.
"I... will fight you with all I've got, if you want. You're a Saiyan, of course that's what you want. But that could mean serious injury or worse... I think it would just be better to fight just for the sport of it."
He did something odd then. He actually smiled. And a real one this time, not his twisted, crazed one he would have in battle at rare times. He wondered what she would say then. Fight all out? Or within reason just for fun? Zeke didn't exactly know what he was asking, he just didn't want her to expect his most brutal techniques, especially when they can surprise her from nowhere and take off an arm or put a decent hole in a chest cavity.
But it was up to her.
