The words of her brother seemed to not only calm her, but refocus the entire room. Looking over at Ninjin still she saw the effect all of this had on him, the weight of what had happened weighing on his shoulders just like everyone else even if he tried not to show it. Their father sat at the other end of the table with more than what seemed the poison laying him low, it was almost as if all of this was pushing him down. At this moment in time Ninjin seemed the stronger of the two, his mental fortitude even greater than that of the King. Her brother was only a Prince, but one day he would rule over New Vegeta and Akassa knew now he would be a strong King. Funny how not so long ago she had thought him to immature and selfish to ever rule their people, recent events had changed him, finally drawn out the potential he had always possessed.
Celeh’s words reflected a similar strength, although no royal blood backed them. Akassa wondered how well the two might have done as sister’s had the soldier had different parents, and it was not the first time she had gone down that thought path. The girl wasn’t nearly as strong as the Princess in terms of outright power, but her spirit showed equal resolve. Still standing she rests her hands on the end of the table, trying to force herself to calm down more than she already had. Her eyes went to each speaker in the room as they voiced their opinions and suggestions, every single one of them focused on adding to discussion…even Natisha.
While Leke demanded action without much strategy, Ezekiel and Nasu started to develop a plan. Set up the remaining ships with multiple tracking devices and wait until the Namekian made his move. It was the most logical way to try and obtain the information, for like her; some of the others doubted that he was going to try anything on them now. He had barely escaped Leke and Celeh, both capable warriors, but on the lower end of the power spectrum when comparing them to the rest of the war council. With his allies destroyed and the Saiyan army recovering from the initial attacks it was only a matter of time before he was found. There would be no escape for him if it came to that. The thought of suggesting actively searching for him crossed her mind, but she decides to not mention it. If he was as dedicated to the Church in the same way Aer Nin was than they would pry little information from him.
When Ezekiel finished with his explanation that included visuals the Princess was surprised to see a guard enter the room, raising an eyebrow as he made his way over to Natisha. Watching the Queen slide one onto the table it was quickly revealed the first disk contained a damage report. Listening as the woman spoke Akassa did her best not to look at her, afraid a smug expression might set her off again, the Queen’s monotone voice irritating enough as it was. She did look up though when it sounded like her father was clearing his throat, his hand rising to hold Natisha back as he attempted to speak. His words were forced, but the message was clear.
Let the Namekian escape, then follow him so that the Church could be destroyed…no, their entire planet destroyed. The words seemed to bring a small silence over the room, Tsuyo’s only words spoken so far bearing a powerful message. No one answered at first, Ninjin finally speaking up with the response Akassa had expected to hear. Their father, the King, had just given them an order so there was but one way to respond. In truth she had assumed there would be no quarter given as it was. The Church had attacked their home without regard for the deaths of the innocent so why should the Saiyan’s respond with anything less? The Princess wasn’t sure how the rest of them felt, but she knew her answer.
”Of course father, anyone that harbors our foes is also an enemy. The Universal Church of One made no attempt to protect the innocent of New Vegeta, not even the visitors from other planets that had been in the spaceport. We shall retaliate in appropriate Saiyan fashion, tenfold.” Her tone much more level now than it had been the last time she spoke, Akassa was deadly serious. She was not for the slaughtering of the innocent, but were the people that housed and fed your enemy truly innocent? Did those that supported their cause even if they did not take part in it deserve any less of the Saiyan’s wrath? No, all those associated with the Church would be wiped out. With this coming assault the Universal Church of One was going to be eliminated in its entirety. When the Saiyans marched on where ever it was the Church called home, Aon himself would be powerless to stop them.

Natisha had not truly known what to expect when her husband began to speak. What came out of his mouth shocked her known the less. It was not often that Tsuyo decided to use the might of those under him to deal with an enemy, not in this fashion. Tsuyo would use the army for sure but very rarely did he ever call for a massacre of his enemy. He had told her once that in order to order something like that the ruler must know what the carnage of war was like. He told her that commanding the army to massacre your opponent and their citizens was one of the most bloody and brutal things possible. If the leader did not understand the weight of the scenario of what was going on than they did not truly deserve to lead.
A silence fell over the room after Tsuyo spoke no doubt due to the respect that he commanded even in the state that he was in. The first to speak with the crown prince and beloved son Ninjin. He simply bowed his head and acknowledged that this was to be done. Normally Tsuyo would have done it himself however being weakened the task would have to fall to him. Whether he would have the ability both mentally and physically would have to be seen as he had never been asked to do something like this. Leke remained silent; he was a child and as such would probably not fully understand the situation. His young mind may try to figure out a way to justify the mercy on their citizens. But in the King’s eyes there was no way to justify it. The Universal Church of One had lowered the standard of this war. They were not attacking just soldiers. They had attacked the citizens of New Vegeta. As such the Saiyans would return the favor tenfold. They would do what the Universal Church of One tried to do; they will destroy their enemies definitively. Akassa’s words rung true and for the first time all meeting Natisha agreed.
“Very well said Akassa,” Natisha said with disgust still leaking into her voice a bit despite giving credit where it was due.

At this point the soldier had nothing else to say. Her words had received what she understood to be high regards, but this was a place where such things only went so far as to keep her otherwise irrelevant words relevant to the matter at hand. Her feelings meant little in the face of the reality that the Saiyan people had been pushed to the brink...and the few sitting in this war council tent were the ones who had been chosen by the Saiyan leader to bring their people back from the brink and into the honorable, respected position they'd once been in. No one would respect a race that was wiped out by a foolhardy and overzealous church...
The King's emotions flowed through his words, even in his rough state, and Celeh could feel them to the core of her being. But even deep down, part of her did not fully agree with his choice of wording. She wasn't in a position to deny him, and openly opposing his words at this time, even in a small fashion like what she had in mind, would result in her certain doom. She pressed that thought aside and gave a stern nod and salute to the king, letting him know that his will would be done to the best of her ability. Words at this point seemed nearly pointless. They had to act while the assassin was still on this planet...

“Le…let him…escape…follow…then destroy…destroy…” Tsuyo said with pain seeping causing Nasu to roll his eyes. The Queen saved him from having to state the obvious.
“Yes we know destroy the Universal Church of One. There is no need to waste your energy,” Natisha said in an attempt to keep Tsuyo from wasting his energy and hurting himself. While Nasu did enjoy seeing the bastard in pain he actually agreed. If Tsuyo was just going to repeat the obvious there was no need for him to waste his breathe.
“No…destroy…thei…their…pla…net…planet…no…survivors…”
…
There was a moment of stunned silence around the room. What the King was suggesting, it was nothing short of genocide, right? Surely other people in the room would see that. Would say something. On the entire planet there had to be thousands, if not millions of people, all of them couldn’t be members of the Universal Church.
But then much to his shock Ninjin, the person in the room most capable of standing up against the coming atrocity agreed. He must be saving his objections for private, but this was a war council, the entire point was to argue over their future actions. The family had already dissolved into a shouting match, what was holding him back, Leke and Akassa also quickly fell into line. Joining behind the plan to massacre an entire planet. It couldn’t be mindless obedience, there had to be a reason.
Trying to look past the horror of what he was now asked to do Nasu put some thought into it. The church had just attacked their planet, their first move had been to blow up the space port making sure that no one would be able to escape. They had poisoned the most powerful member of their race and wiped out countless civilians, while he was thinking about mercy they clearly offered none themselves. The saiyans hasn’t started this war, this wasn’t even their first attack, of the two times he’d ever seen his brother Ninjin the church had attacked him both times. How often must they be trying to kill of the prince? How long could the saiyan people be expected to live in fear just because the people in this room were afraid to act. If it meant committing horrible crimes, if it meant losing the ability to ever sleep soundly at night, but it meant that your people, the ones you are sworn to protect didn’t have to live with a sword of Damocles constantly hanging over their heads didn’t they have a responsibility to their people to act? That was the unseen price of power Nasu had never imagined before now.
And as he sought to rise to power, become stronger and stronger himself did he inadvertently take that responsibility on? Could he let an entire race live in fear because he was too disgusted to act himself when he had the power to change things? No that wasn’t who he was, he might have taken on the name Nun to distance himself from his family, but deep down his blood was still that of the Hattori family and he had a responsibility to his people. Even if it meant wiping out another race man, woman and child.
Nasu would forever hate the king. When he was strong enough he knew he would still try and kill Tsuyo, too much had happened now for him to either to change that path, however for the first time in his life he truly respected the man for the weight that must be on his shoulders, for looking past the fact that Nasu had mocked his impotence earlier and invited him to the council because he was strong enough to make a difference. Tsuyo might be a prick, but the man was a king.
All of this flashed through his head in a split seconds as he figured he must have been the last to realize what the Royal family clearly understood instinctually when they agreed to follow the King’s orders. Putting his hand over his heart in a salute he gave a short bow to the king, though there was still hate in his eyes he knew the decision Tsuyo made hadn’t come lightly.
“Akassa is right, the church blew up the space port to make sure there was no escape for anyone looking to run, made no effort to spare our civilians, and we can’t afford to spare theirs, we’d only be creating future martyrs even more devoted and eager to kill our people. The saiyan race shouldn’t live in fear of a war we didn’t start. Even if it means genocide I will follow.”

The plan taking shape now, Leke suggested something again. Three trackers, and on every ship? And they did have to put a plan in place in the case of the Assassin laying low for weeks. That made sense though, he may hide out until the heat is off and then make his move. With his Transformational technique, it may be easy for him to sneak into a ship, especially if he has weeks to prepare his plan.
"Smart idea, Leke. Three trackers, and make the third one hidden somewhere he would not check, like inside the burner exhaust, for example. Nobody would place one there as it would be incinerated. But, with the right reinforcement, we could make the third tracker work." He proposed in agreement. Leke may be young and seen as inexperienced, but Zeke had seen the young prince in battle and now seen his mind play a tactical role. He had chose not to underestimate the Assassin's skill. That was a mistake that even Zeke, an ex-Assassin himself had just unknowingly made. Yet the boy caught onto. He was more than a mere child, that was for sure.
"I would also propose that we outfit each tracker with the ability to record energy signatures and relay them back to the Space Port. Once the Assassin boards his ship, he will revert to his true form... So will his energy. Then, we simply look for witch craft had an energy signature change from a registered source to an unknown source during travel, and send a squad to track and follow it." Zeke further plotted.
It made better sense. This way they could continue repairs as normal and not need a 'distraction' of any kind. They would just need to wait for the man to reveal himself. Zeke hoped he would one day be the one to face this Assassin... he was sure his own skills were beyond that of this man's. The fact that the king was still alive was proof that the Church of One did not invest heavily enough into their Assassins. A poison that debilitates the victim was sloppy work. They must have wanted to capture or personally have the pleasure of ending him themselves. That was not how Assassination worked, they should have used a poison that debilitated Tsuyo for a limited time and killed him within five to ten minuets, just in case they could not get their hands on him.
Sloppy work, Zeke thought. He was glad that Tsuyo had survived, but that fact and the fact that their agents were discovered was just shameful on the Church. But then the man said something that made Zeke's eyes widen.
“…destroy…thei…their…pla…net…planet…no…survivors…”
No survivors. Take revenge. Kill them all, no matter who it is. Massacre. Zeke knew these orders all to well, with images of his youth coming back. Countless innocents that he himself had already slaughtered. Seeing them run and scream before he cut them down in their homes and in the streets... men, women... even children he had cut down. Some even had to see their friends and family die brutal deaths before receiving it themselves. And Tsuyo wanted them all to unleash that upon the church?
Zeke thought of Kosho. He knew the Blade Hermit would disagree with Tsuyo... maybe that is why he was not here right now. What was worse, Ninjin and Nasu both agreed with him. Akassa did as well!? How could they not see how insane this was? It was an entire planet... was that even possible? Two had not spoken at all. One was Leke, and the other was the other woman that Ninjin had called Celeh. Zeke looked between the two, slowly entering their minds to try and see if they agreed or not. Unless they somehow noticed and pushed him out, he would note the same thoughts within their minds as his own.
They thought this was madness. But they both did not feel they had the place to say anything. Zeke knew exactly how they felt and released his own feelings on the matter into their minds. He wouldn't speak to them and give away his ability quite yet though, but they would know that Zeke felt the same.
((Start this video at 0:25 for best experience.))
He did have to say something though. But he would word it as if he was simply thinking out loud rather than trying to call it unnecessary. "So we wipe the whole planet out. We have to all be sure that their civilians deserve such a fate, otherwise we will all have a horrible burden on their conscience for the rest of our lives. I already know that feeling all too well... it is not something that I would wish on any of you." He said, looking at Natisha at the end. Not even she deserved that.
"I've seen strong, hardened man fall into madness because of that weight. I hope none of you suffer that as well. The question would be if their civilians even have a choice weather to follow suit with the Church, or if they even know of any other choice they could make. We cant simply expect them all to have chosen death instead."
Zeke would once again put his hand out and cause a layer off the table to pull towards the center and rip upward like a small twister, creating a large floating ball of stone over the holographic city, witch would flicker for a moment due to the loss of the table's layer. "I once had a scientist friend explain to me that if a source had a great enough power output, it would be easy for it to puncture a hole into the very core of the planet." he said, having a red dot appear beside the large ball. Zeke caused the large ball to become partly transparent except for an orange center. He showed the red dot release a yellow rod to symbolize an energy wave, tear into the larger ball, and into the orange inner ball; the core of the planet.
The core expanded and caused the outer sphere to crack apart, orange raising up through the cracks and spewing out. The blast would cause planetary earthquakes and eruptions, likely throwing the weather system off and adding massive storms to it. Then, the ball exploded with a bang, the debris turning to ash and then to nothing before they could hit anyone.
Zeke crossed his arms. "Tsuyo, your plan will end them completely... but I do believe I too have a similar plan. One that I think would be the ultimate revenge and the greatest justice, depending on how you wish to see it."
Zeke again created a ball, covering it with blue and green. Earth. Beside it, he created a smaller ball of grey with a red symbol for the Saiyan Royal Family on it. "For years, the Saiyans have been relying on the Earth's moon to sustain ourselves. However... it is not known primarily as 'home of the Saiyans'. It is still 'Earth's Moon' in all cases. We are simply resting in the arms of Earth. It is a fact weather we wish to accept it or not." He explained. No doubt that most, if not all in the room would dislike this statement. Hell, they all likely seen him as insane right about now.
He created another ball the same as before. "Now what do we see here? The U.C.O.O planet, you would all say. But do you want to know what I see?" he asked. He hoped they would stay with him this far.
((Hoping your around 2:10 on the Vid now))
Zeke smiled, and held a hand out. He closed his fist as something appeared on the planet... "My fellow Saiyans, I see... New Planet Vegeta!"
He looked around as the Saiyan Crest appeared on the UCOO planet. "We TAKE their planet FROM them! TAKE their PEOPLE! Their civilians rely on being controlled? Then WE control them. We hunt down their leaders and massacre them one by one, then we turn their world into a home for the Saiyan race. A home where we rely on NO other world and where the Saiyan race will once again become all it once was!"
Zeke looked at Ninjin with a determined smile. "A home worthy of a future king to lead."
He would then look at everyone in the room. Sure they were angry. They wanted revenge. But this way they could have their cake, eat it... and then rather than destroy the bakery they could take the whole thing! This plan would work for all those in the room who wanted Vengeance or Justice. Both would be served. And they would gain from it.
"So..." Zeke said. "... I can only do as I'm instructed." Zeke looked at Tsuyo and Natisha. He then looked at their future king.
"What will we do?"

Zeke NeCross was he had demonstrated earlier to the queen his brashness. The rest of the council had fallen in line with the king’s desire to massacre the planet. He however had to come up with a counter proposal that the Queen herself had never even considered. Instead of destroying the planet the saiyans would take the planet as their new home. Since their rebirth the Saiyans had searched for a more suitable place to live other than the Earth’s moon. It was a gift to them, and almost like a prison. However even to this day they had never truly found a new place that would suit them. This could be the opportunity they had been waiting for. And for a brief moment the Queen was hopeful and excited at the prospect but that moment did not last long as she could feel the King’s anger. He was in no mood to spare the lives of his attackers. The Universal Church of One had not attacked them with the intention to enslave the Saiyans. They attacked in the goal of wiping them out of existence and she knew this fact would not be lost on the King. The Queen turned her head back to her husband who was still exuding anger from every pore. It took a few moments for the King to speak but he was eventually able to.
“N…no…the…they all…d…die…destroy…them…all…” The King forced through his weakened body. The Queen closed her eyes and let out a sigh. She knew better than to challenge the King when he was in a mood like the one he was in right now. Even she would feel his wrath if she tried to convince him otherwise. With that she turned back to the council.
“You heard the High King of the Saiyans. This council is tasked with the complete destruction of the home world of the Universal Church of One. There is to be no survivors. Every last inhabitant is to be killed as commanded by Tsuyo Hattori.” The Queen proclaimed authoritatively. Based on the reactions of the council here it was clear not all agreed with the actions they were about to perform but this was the price in war and the price of power. With that settled there was only matter left to attend to before the council was dismissed. “Before all of you leave there is one final item on the agenda.” The Queen stated as she dismissed the hologram of the city’s destruction before setting up another hologram. This time it was not a place but rather a list of numbers being displayed.
“What you see before you are account numbers and transactions going through said accounts. Over the last six hours agents of the crown worked diligently to try and make sure that there was not a traitor in our midst. And no I don’t mean the assassin, I mean a Saiyan or Saiyans that are traitors to our race.” Natisha started. “They happened to notice a very large sum of money enter into the New Vegeta banking system only a few days before the attack. In an effort to try and track the money they quickly found out that it was routed through dozens of different banks throughout the galaxy in order to hide the origin of the funds. We however managed to track it back to a bank suspected of doing business with the Universal Church of One.” That by itself was not overly impressive or relevant. The people received the funds however were. “The funds were deposited into this account here,” The Queen pointed which lit up highlighting the single account line. “After some quick research the account belongs to a mercenary group here on New Vegeta. The name of the group is the Red Flags.” She paused for a moment for dramatic flair. “Which if I am not mistaken is the group you belong to Nasu Nun.” Natisha stated with a tilt of her head. “It is a known fact that the Red Flags will take any job including attacking a noble if the price is high enough. I just never thought that it would stoop so low as to try and prosper off of the death of its own people. But then again perhaps that is better explained by this…” The Queen deactivated the current hologram and slid the other disc over to the center of the table.
~~~~~
Immediately it picked up a very clear picture of the Saiyan King surrounded by his guards in the city. Then quickly from one side of the camera Nasu Nun would appear. Nasu walked up to the two guards hands in the air. “Hello gentlemen, will you please step away from the king. Tsyuo and I need to have a few words that are long overdue.”
The guards immediately went on guard, “Who are you? What are you doing here? What do you want with the King?”
“Like I said I just want to talk.” He flared his power as much as he could kicking up a storm of dust obscuring everyone. His senses out he reached behind the weaker of the two guards with his psychokenesis he picked up one of the larger rocks that fallen from the palace, and yanked it at the guards back. As the guard was turning away from him Nasu flew forward and punched him as hard as he could right in the temple. He felt the guard collapse under him. While distracted the other guard took the opportunity to hit him the stomach. Sending him flying back winded. He reached inside pulling on his inner-strength. He then reached out again with his psychokenesis this time grabbing the unconscious guard and throwing him at his partner. The guard shocked to see his friend come flying at him flinched and that was all it took. Nasu was on him before he could recover punching his face and stomach, mercilessly beating him. The sounds of bones breaking were clear on the video as was the result of the attack. The guard now lay motionless.
“Hello Tsyuo,” he said layering as much contempt in his voice as he possibly could. “My name is Nasu Nun.” As the words were spoken the video flickered from damage it no doubt received during the attack on New Vegeta. “Tsyuo, know this. All a saiyan has is his pride. The King most of all. Today you lose that pride knowing I can kill you. A low class Saiyan you discarded as worthless, I could kill you as easily as you could kill me normally. But I won’t. I want you to live your life knowing you needed to be spared by me…” The video cut again however this time it was not as bad. “…you were too weak to save them titan…” Another cut however it was audio that only disappeared this time. “…nothing will hide you from my wrath.” With that final image the video cut away into static as explosion could be heard off in the distance.
~~~~~
Natisha collapsed the hologram and began to walk away from the spot she had been standing in the entire time. She slowly began to saunter over the side of her eldest son. “Tell me Nasu, how does it feel to betray your own race? To sell out their safety and lives to the highest maniacal bidder? To think that you dare even show your face here knowing that you and your merry band of mercenaries were one of the reasons why hundreds of thousands of people now either lie dead or injured. All you wanted to do was to get close to the King once again to finish him off wasn’t it. You are despicable, and scum that does not deserve to see the light of the great Saiyan empire.” Natisha spat with in a methodic way with anger slipping into her voice every so often. “Those two guards you attacked died. Along with every civilian that you may have called a brother or friend. As such there is no other thing I can do right now.”
The Queen now standing next to Ninjin straightened up and spoke with absolute authority.
“Nasu Nun, you and the Red Flags are hereby charged with treason against the throne of New Vegeta and the thousands of deaths that occurred on this day. With the power vested in me as the Queen of New Vegeta and on the behalf of my husband King Tsuyo Hattori I hereby banish you and the Red Flags from the kingdom of New Vegeta. So long as Tsuyo Hattori sits on the throne you may never return upon penalty of death.”

The crown-prince listened and nodded as his brother made some interesting points. Three sensors would indeed be harder to find than two, and much harder to find than one. Who could even say if the assassin would look for it in the first place, much of what they seemed to be going on was speculation. Still it was all they had. His younger brother did not say anything when his father issued his decree, instead he bowed his head. It was a tough decision to have to be made. Their continued survival rested on the destruction of the Universal Church of One, but to blow up their planet and kill them all? Did any of them even have the power?
Still… Ninjin had agreed to his father’s demands at least in face, and his younger brother appeared to do the same. Unlike Leke, Akassa was not going to merely nod her head. She seemed wholeheartedly into the destruction of the Universal Church of One’s home planet. The prince’s eyes flicked from his sister to her arm. There was so much anger there. It was like another sense, he could almost feel the anger that she was experiencing himself. Though she was calm, a fire raged inside, one they had only caught glimpses of in the moments before.
Celeh and Natisha both didn’t say much about the king’s decree. Celeh nodded her acceptance of her orders, and the Queen even found herself at a loss for words. It was not every day that the king ordered a massacre of a religious group. Then again, it was not every day that that same religious group showed up on your planet and killed thousands of your civilians. The prince caught his father’s eye. The duty would no doubt fall to him, being the crown-prince and general of the army. The brown pools of his father’s eyes seemed to be staring through him, as if searching his soul for the answer to the question, will you be able to do this? Ninjin wasn’t sure if he had the answer. Worse, what if the answer was no?
Nasu pitched in his agreement of the idea. The line in the sand had been drawn by the Church, not them. The Church would pay dearly for their actions, and if Tsyuo’s orders were to be carried out, they were to be exterminated. How many times had Ninjin been attacked? It would never stop. It would never stop until there were no more bishops. until there were no more cardinals. Until there was no more mention of Aon or the things he stood for.
They all seemed to be in agreement. All of them, except Zeke Necross. The black clad near attempted murderer of the prince spoke of whether or not the civilians of the Universal Church of One deserved such a fate.
“The average follower of the Universal Church of One believes the same thing that Aer Nin, this Assassin, and any other of the followers we fought and killed here today. They want the destruction of our race, it’s in their very belief system! Give any follower of the church of one a knife and let him hold it to your throat. They kill you every time. Aon demands it. It’s us or them.” Ninjin would then let the man continue. Zeke brought out another display, using his very impressive item forming abilities.
Using his abilities the former assassin showed them what would happen when they attempted to blow up the planet. It was a very impressive sight, and one that the prince had to assume the man had seen many times before. It took an intimate knowledge of a planet exploding to make it look as accurate as he had. Then he did something that Ninjin hadn’t been expecting, and no doubt none of the others in the room had either. He created the Earth and New Vegeta. Their homeworld was in the shadow of the Earth it was true.
Then Zeke shocked the red-clad Saiyan. Take the planet? He hadn’t even considered it. Taking their planet would be a much harder idea than the prince thought Zeke thought. They could not simply “liberate” the people that followed the Universal Church of One. Every single person on that planet would likely fight them to the death in order to try and prevent them from having one of their worlds. Or even simply just to try and kill them for being Saiyans.
Still the idea was plausible… it would just take a lot more time to kill every single member of the church on the world, and who knows if the Saiyan army even had the might to do that? Blowing up the planet was a sure fire way to get the Church to back off, even if they did kick the Saiyans in the proverbial groin. Ninjin had more thinking to do on the matter, so when Zeke stared at him the prince could only stare back neutrally, neither affirming nor denying his support of the idea. Tsuyo however did not do the same. Despite struggling to speak the King made it very clear.
No survivors.
None. Every last member of the Universal Church of One that resided on the planet that the assassin would lead them to would die. That was of course if they could get the assassin to lead them to a world populated by the Universal Church of One. His mother reaffirmed the order with much more ease of speech. In Ninjin’s mind he had switched to general mode. He would need to find lists of the soldiers he still had, casualty reports, acts of valor reports, and then who he would assign to stay home and whom he would assign to come with him on the mission. The last thing he expected was his mother to stop them all from leaving.
She placed down a hologram in front of them, and a series of numbers appeared. Truthfully the prince couldn’t make heads or tails of it, it seemed to have something to do with money. The prince’s finances were all figured out by those that worked for the kingdom. To say he was terrible with understanding money would be an understatement. His mother explained what they were looking at. They had been betrayed by some mercenary company on New Vegeta. One that had allowed the Universal Church of One to get so close. The Prince’s heart nearly stopped when his mother said the name of the company. Instantly his eyes shot to Nasu. No doubt everyone else in the room’s eyes did as well.
The queen took out another disk and slid it onto the table. A holographic video feed appeared. It was the guards the prince had left the king with during the fight with Aer Nin. Suddenly Nasu appeared on the screen. Understandably the guards had gone on alert, and though Nasu said he just wanted to talk he quickly dispatched of the guards, revealing a side of himself that Ninjin hadn’t seen before. As the Nasu on the hologram gave Tsyuo his speech the prince looked to Nasu and back to the feed, his mouth hanging slightly open, as if he were looking for the words to say to his friend. What was it that he was seeing? Nasu wanted to kill Tsyuo? For what? What was the purpose of his speech, and what was the purpose of Natisha showing it to the war council? Had Nasu really betrayed them?
The Queen gave words to Ninjin’s fears, and despite himself the prince couldn’t help but stare at the boy he thought he knew as if he were another person. His mother had moved herself during the duration of her speech so that she eventually came to stand at his side. No doubt the prince’s eyes looked confused and hurt, and he found that he could not take them off of his friend.
In the prince’s mind he recalled the first time he had met the boy. It was the day he was scheduled to be announced as crown-prince. It was a spectacle more than anything, the prince having been crown-prince since the moment he was born. Ninjin had been attacked that day by an agent of the Universal Church of One, and his life had been saved by none other than Nasu. His mind shifted to the next time the duo had seen each other, and once again the fight they had. And then to the conversations they had had. There were very few people the prince trusted more than Nasu Nun… If what his mother was accusing him of was true…
Natisha then declared the Red Flags and Nasu guilty of treason against the king during a time of war. It would normally carry the penalty of death, but too many Saiyans had died this day. Exile would be the path for his friend and the mercenaries. Ninjin held up a hand before the guards could move towards Nasu.
“I wish to hear his response. Nasu Nun, charges of betrayal by the Red Flags and yourself have been leveled against you. What is your response?” The prince was deadly serious on the outside but on the inside his heart felt like it had been torn from his chest.

The comment that came from her step mother was pointless; Akassa heard the venom that seeped into it and knew it to be false. The Princess wasn’t foolish enough to believe that Natisha cared for what Akassa had said, she was only pleased that she had not openly spoke against the order. On top of that the statement was just another way to show her “authority” over her step-daughter, as if Akassa needed the approval from the Queen for her words to be taken seriously. Not even looking at the woman she found her eyes shifting to Celeh. The soldier was silent now, making no comment to the orders that had just been given. Akassa did not know the other female to be an overly violent one, but she knew that the soldier followed orders and expected no different from her in this situation.
As Nasu spoke the Princess eyes’ moved to him, quite curious as to how he might take this, not an official member of the Saiyan army to her knowledge. This young man, who she had only met once, had somehow earned an invite to this prestigious gathering, having some favor with the Queen it seemed. So far he had acted appropriately, knowing when to keep his mouth shut and when to offer information. She had wondered though, how might he respond to an order with such weight behind it?
“Even if it means genocide I will follow.”
The boy had a spine, verbally agreeing with the order, even directly referencing her words. Despite being such an unknown until recent events Akassa found she was developing a little respect for the male, not many would have the stomach to carry out a task like the one before him. The Princess even awards him a small nod of approval for backing her statement and her father’s orders, a small show of respect that in several more minutes was going to be quickly forgotten.
The last one that need agree in the room was Ezekiel NeCross, a powerful warrior and probably the one in the room that Akassa was closest to. Although she considered him a friend the Princess also knew the relative dislike he had for the Royal family, not necessarily on an individual level, but for the structured society that they represented. From what she had learned about him it wasn’t necessarily the power that they wielded, but at times the way they wielded it. Still, she did not expect him after all that had transpired to disagree with what path they needed to take. Of course knowing that the ex-assassin tended to have his own opinions she should have expected him to suggest an alternative, one she had admittedly not thought about.
The idea of taking the Church’s home world for their own had not crossed her mind, the Princess so focused on revenge for what they bastards had done to their home. The passion in his speech was unexpected as well, Ezekiel so much more reserved most of the time. Perhaps all of this had gotten to him, but in a different way than it had affected her. Where she saw destruction and despair for her home, he saw the possibilities of a new beginning…after the appropriate members of the Church had been taken out of course. Akassa herself was partially inclined to agree, never having been that found of her people relying on what the Humans had given them for their home. This idea of taking over their planet and making it a new home was appealing, although she didn’t see the errors in the plan. Akassa, not having much prior experience with the Church, was unaware of how devoted its members were. Very few of them would allow themselves to be ruled, a fact Ninjin quickly filled them in on. On top of that there was one more problem with her friends suggestion…the King wanted nothing to do with it.
Her father’s repeated order made the decision for all of them, Tsuyo sticking to his plans of genocide. Akassa was going to follow the order, do as she was told and enact revenge for her people. Rolling her shoulders some as Natisha spoke the war council was almost done, they had a plan and needed to set it into motion, only one item was left to discuss. Unsure of what it was the Queen was going to bring up now Akassa listened, eyeing the second disc that was slid towards the middle of the table. What she was about to learn had the anger she suppressed before quickly back on the rise.
Looking over the financial information, something she was not that familiar with, Akassa narrows her eyes as this Red Flag organization was revealed to have worked for the Church. Hearing the Queen pause Akassa looks up to see her looking at Nasu, the Princess unsure as to why. When it was revealed that Nasu worked for this traitorous group her eyes locked on the young male, teeth grinding together. About to start questioning him she holds her tongue as Natisha slides the third and final disc onto the table. Shifting her focus to this next disc she watches in silence, unsure of what she was being shown as a recording of Nasu approaching the King and a pair of guards takes shape. Nasu approached with his hands up, claiming he wished to speak with them before he launched his cowardly attack.
The first guard didn’t know what hit him, and the second was unprepared for the beating he quickly received. Inhaling sharply Akassa’s hands were clenched back into fists as she watched Nasu beat the guard savagely. Once the guard was unconscious, perhaps dead, he moved towards Tsuyo. The open threat to her father, during a time when New Vegeta itself was in peril, was unfathomable to her. No one threatened a Hattori like that and got to live, no matter what other acts they may have done that day. When the image flickered out Akassa looked to Nasu Nun, the finger nails on her right hand digging into her palm. For once in her life she agreed with Natisha, despicable and scum were both accurate words to describe him. As the Queen handed out the banishment on behalf of the King, Akassa would see it done.
Silver aura bursting to life Akassa was much quicker than the guards that had been stationed around the tent, her quick strides taking her over to the traitor with ease. Completely prepared to forcefully remove him from the tent, regardless if he resisted or not, Akassa’s metal arm reaches for the front of his shirt. She had lost an arm defending her home while he had betrayed his own people, taken the lives of two of her kin, and threatened the King that protected them all. Fingers inches from his chest, Akassa hears her brother speak, her arm halting as Ninjin wished to give the degenerate a chance to respond.
Standing in front of him, brown eyes locked onto his Akassa made no further move to grab him, but was plenty ready to throw him from the tent when he was done spewing the lie that was bound to come from his mouth.
”Speak quickly traitor and mind what lies you choose to tell, I am far less lenient than Prince Ninjin.”

The reaction on her son’s face was what she would expect it was of utter shock and disbelief. She even saw a flicker of anger there as he tried to control himself though. However the Saiyan prince’s mother saw what many would portray as mercy when in actuality she saw it more as not being firm. She would never doubt his actions but it showed that Ninjin still had a little more toughening to go through if he was to sit on the throne. When decisions are made they should rarely be revisited but even still Natisha would allow the young betrayer the opportunity defend himself but it mattered little. Especially with the evidence that was mounted against him, even the bits that were faked. In reality the Red Flags had never received such a payment from the Universal Church of One; rather they had proven time and again to be a thorn in the noble’s sides. The nobles would complain to the Queen stating that the crown was not doing enough to protect the noble caste from these mercenaries, which the Queen did not take kindly too. So in the aftermath of the attack when she saw her opportunity she chose to get rid of thorn once and for all. After all faking banking records was far from difficult and was in fact done well within the last couple of hours. The fact that Nasu Nun was in fact one of these mercenaries and had been stupid enough to get caught on video running his mouth solidified the deal. Now she would not have an uncontrollable mercenary group that plagued the nobles and she got the nobles to shut their mouths for a while. Two birds one stone.
The most amusing aspect of this entire situation was that Akassa took the poor boy’s head off. The two may not be the best of friends but in her current state Akassa was an ally to the throne and with Natisha holding the power of speech it would not take much to guide her in the right direction. Her power was even flared as she made her way over to Nasu Nun but it was when Ninjin spoke that the attack was stayed. What the poor fool would do now in order to try escape was beyond Natisha, he was surrounded by the two most powerful fighters for the throne. Ninjin to one side, which Nasu thought he was smart in putting himself there in an effort to comfort him earlier, and Akassa to the other, who was ready to tear the boys head off at the slightest idiotic statement. Even if she could not truly see what would happen next she knew how to sabotage it.
“He can speak my son but only expect lies. It is clear now that the Red Flags, an organization that he is highly ranked, were aiding the enemy. Anything he says here would only be intended to sow distrust and discord amongst us. Sadly he only used the opportunity to get close to either one of us in order to get to the King when it became obvious that the attack on New Vegeta was going to fail. You saw his words, he threatened the King and appears to only want to see your father dead and to steal YOUR birthright as crown prince. Do not trust a single word he says as they will be filled with Universal Church of One poison,” Natisha growled. This boy had nowhere to go, he had been given his opportunity to leave, it was time to see if he took it.

The atmosphere of the war council rapidly shifted yet again, this time to another more grim and ill-fated topic. One of the attendees of the war council was, according to the Queen and her evidence, not only guilty of high treason to the crown, but also responsible for the advancement of the Church of One into Saiyan Territory with information he'd given them. Or rather, information his group had given. Celeh hadn't heard of the Red Flags, but then up until this point the majority of her missions from the military had been offworld, and her work with Akassa was either in the castle or offworld as well, which left little time for dealing with gangs on the Moon itself. She was rather perturbed by the fact that a traitor already existed in their midst. What did he have to gain by sitting through this today and putting himself at risk of discovery in a place where such would surely mean his execution. The power she felt from Nasu was nothing to scoff at, but given present company he was far from capable of fending off the whole group by himself. If the assassin appeared to aid him, they may have a chance of one escaping, but the other would surely perish, leaving Nasu in quite a predicament at the moment.
Celeh was not as emotional about this as the royals seemed to be. She had little to say for or against the young man being accused, and she knew that she would probably be last in line to take a piece of him if it was settled that he'd be executed, because he threatened the king. That meant the King's family would have the first opportunity to put him away. Still, something seemed off about this. It didn't seem like the Queen to openly call someone out like this. Celeh expected her to be more indirect and subtle in her approach. AT the moment, though, the soldier saw no evidence of foul play. And Nasu was headed straight for a slow, painful death at the hands of some very angry saiyan royals... And yet the Queen's punishment wasn't death. It was banishment under penalty of death if he returned to New Vegeta. Something else to bother her confused train of thought. The other confusing thing being...if Nasu really did have the King in a position to kill him, but didn't...then why would he help the universal church of one assassinate the king? He wanted the King to suffer a life of humiliation forever knowing Nasu had shown the king mercy...
IN Celeh's mind these things didn't add up. The Queen wasn't sentencing him to death, which was the normal punishment for high treason, the King hadn't said anything against Nasu even though this evidence existed and the King had been involved, Nasu had spared the king's life to punish him with humiliation for an unknown reason...She scowled at the table as she tried to consider what was really happening. Though she was intelligent and quick witted, even Celeh couldn't factor in evidence and facts she didn't have, or know that some presented facts had been tampered with...And so she said nothing, glancing around the table for some piece of wisdom that might answer her own questions.

Nasu’s mouth dropped open…
A new home for the saiyan race. That would be amazing, and quite honestly a very good plan, but he wasn’t sure if it was even possible. If they chose to spare anyone and then stole their planet they would only be creating future enemies who would stop at nothing to wipe them out. The church already showed it was unwilling to spare civilians he wasn’t willing to take that risk personally but for once he turned to face the king and hear his decision instead.
It only took a moment before the suffering old man decided they would continue with his course of action; wipe them all out. He was sure that would be just about the end of the council at this point. They had determined how they were going to find the church’s home planet, they had decided to wipe it out to the last man, woman and child, now it was only a matter of everyone playing their own parts and getting things prepared which was mostly on the royal family. They had to prepare both their ships and the army.
As a matter of fact Nasu really wasn’t sure why he was here at the moment, as he sat in his chair he realized there wasn’t a single reason for him to realistically be at this conversation deciding saiyan policy for their future war. Until the queen spoke up.
“Before all of you leave there is one final item on the agenda.” oh, this must be why she had ordered Nasu to be there, she was sure to give him a medal for saving both herself and Ninjin during the battle. Instead however she placed a hologram on the table showing a series of numbers that looked more or less like gibberish to Nasu. Instead he turned to the queen again hoping for some sort of explanation.
She was only too happy to comply as she explained the numbers are a list of large deposits made, it was to ensure there wasn’t someone betraying the crown. At last the list stopped on a highlighted account. “After some quick research the account belongs to a mercenary group here on New Vegeta. The name of the group is the Red Flags.”
Nasu felt his stomach drop, “Oh god Tejun what have you done?” he thought quietly to himself. Had the man actually betrayed his own race and sided with the Church? When he envisioned killing Tsuyo (as he often did) it was always a one on one fight, he would never stoop to killing innocent civilians to reach his goals. Could Tejun have fallen so far? It didn’t fit his character...
“Which if I am not mistaken is the group you belong to Nasu Nun.” the queen stated. She must be looking for some information of some sort but he knew nothing.
“It is your highness, however I knew nothing about this. As a matter of fact during the attack I wound up trying to help our people, as you or Prince Ninjin may recall.” he said hoping that would clarify. Tejun had never mentioned anything about this to him, though the man was still a mystery to him at times.
“It is a known fact that the Red Flags will take any job including attacking a noble if the price is high enough. I just never thought that it would stoop so low as to try and prosper off of the death of its own people.” Nasu could only shake his head, he could see everyone looking at him, judging him still but he honestly knew nothing of this attack until after it happened. The queen pulled something else out of her pocket sliding another hologram across the table “But then again perhaps that is better explained by this…”
This time it wasn’t numbers, it wasn’t accounts, it was the scene from this morning. It was the first time he’d seen Tsuyo in 10 years. It was treason. And it was now on a hologram for the world to see…
If Nasu’s stomach had dropped earlier when he found out that Tejun was a traitor there was no comparison now, as he watched the scene unfold he was almost physically sick.
He had thought no one would ever know, that no one would ever see it...Tsuyo had his pride and the video showed a peasant threatening his life, able to kill him and walk away. He turned his head towards the queen sharply, the video flickered over the part where he had said he was Tsuyo’s son, did she know. The look on her face answered that question for him immediately, she knew exactly who he was. Damn it was about to be screwed. Quickly extending his senses but making absolutely no move to raise his power level he noticed at least 2 people there easily stronger than him and Zeke had already run him through before. If this came down to a fight he was already as good as dead…
As the queen continued to speak he noticed she actually left her husbands side. The video had just shown that Nasu’s only true goal in life was to kill the still weak, sickened, poisoned man, and she left him, defenseless, to walk over to her son’s side. The coward, it was almost too much for him, he almost shouted at the woman but Ninjin’s words pulled him up short.
The prince’s normally warm friendly eyes looked at him now cold and calculating, they looked at him with disgust and anger, it was an expression he had never seen before in his family and it hurt. He knew the evidence looked damning but still it hurt to see his brother look at him as an enemy, a potential threat to be eliminated. Still he offered Nasu a chance to respond, drawing in a breath to defend himself he was cut off quickly by his sister.
If Ninjin’s response was calm but angry, Akassa showed none of her brother’s poise. Silver aura bursting, her energy spiking she charged at Nasu. He had already had his senses extended but still the rapid increase startled him. Ninjin’s words however seemed to stay her fist, which no doubt was headed for his face moments before.
”Speak quickly traitor and mind what lies you choose to tell, I am far less lenient than Prince Ninjin.”
Quickly...speak quickly...it seemed almost laughable, his brain was stalled, he was still in shock from what just happened as much as everyone else. He needed a moment to collect his thoughts. However the queen didn’t seem intent to give him that moment.
Do not trust a single word he says as they will be filled with Universal Church of One poison.”
Looking around he saw a room full of former friends all looking at him with disgust turning back towards the queen it was because of her lies. Sins of omission technically but still she had set this in motion, inviting him so she could turn on him later, only hours after he saved her life, pledging his own to her cause. Well you know what they say, the truth will set you free...
He looked slowly around the room one last time before turning his back on the queen, that probably wasn’t the best idea, of everyone she was most likely to drive a knife in his back but if that was his fate so be it. Instead he directly addressed the two oldest Hattori children leaving his own mind open hoping Zeke would be able to read it or at least sense that every word he spoke was the truth. Ignoring the queen’s last words he instead focused on Akassa and Ninjin.
“Now now, is that any way for you to talk to your brother.”
He took a moment, he needed that moment. The secret he had kept his entire life, he had never shared with anyone was now out in the open. Still taking a breathe at the weight off his shoulders he continued.
“My name is Nasu Hattori, bastard son of Tsuyo Hattori. And on my sixth birthday I swore I would kill my father for taking advantage of and eventually murdering my mother in cold blood. Unlike him however when my target was helpless before me I didn’t choose to kill, I spared his life and then went on to save his family, my family. Or did you forget why it is you’re still breathing your highness? As a matter of fact with the exception of Leke and the guard over there I might be the only one in this room who has not spilled Hattori blood in hatred, or did you forget that the tournament fights were all televised? You accuse me of being a member of the church, of turning against my own race and accuse me of lying before I said a word. And I don’t have to defend myself. I’ve always believed actions speak far louder than words. Today the man I swore to kill lay helpless in front of me and instead of killing him which I imagine would be a major win for the church I so clearly work for, I risked my own life, to save my brother Ninjin, another high priority target for the church. After I had done that I could have left I could have run for my own life or gone and finished off Tsuyo. Instead I ran right back into the fight only to save your own life my queen.” he said the last two words practically dripping with sarcasm. “So you’re right, I’m clearly actively working on bringing down the saiyan race.”
Turning fully to face Akassa he couldn’t keep the contempt from his voice any longer.
“Did you think you were special? That you were ever truly accepted as one of them? Oh yes, Tsuyo let you live in a palace, play his dutiful daughter, but he never let you wear his colors, never treated you as one of them. Your own reactions today show how well you were treated by your dear family. Your own step mother smiled at your dismemberment.”
He stood completely still but his eyes never left his sisters. He was friends with Ninjin and Zeke, but of everyone she was the only one who might be able to understand. She just needed a push.
“On my sixth birthday, the last time I ever saw my father before today, he brought me back into my house. He showed me what he had done. My mother was lying there dead in a pool of her own blood. I was six years old and he abandoned me to live homeless on the streets with no family left to me. That’s when I took the name Nun. Over the years I’ve tried to find my family, I made it a point to get to know each of you in turn and look into you all as best I could. You most of all Akassa. I wanted to know what made you so different, why he accepted you when he rejected me. Maybe your mother was different, better somehow. You know what I found after months, years of looking? Nothing.” the next thing he said was a gamble, but he had to chance it, he had to turn her to his side and there was only one way. “I don’t care how much you trusted your family you have a mother, you looked for her. Now tell me honestly dear sister, did you find anything in your search?”

The Genocide was still on. A massacre seemed to be the only answer these people could fathom and their reasoning was the assumption that the civilians all shared the same brainwashing as the warriors they fought. Nobody knew that for sure... and if they were, simply eliminate the stronger ones and the others will fall in line. If genocide is necessary, then why the children? They still have room to grow and learn the difference. None of this made sense, did they even gather information on the planet yet? No they have not. There was no info stating the civillians were a threat.
Tsuyo was the King. His word was law and they would follow, blinded by their loyalty. It seemed the church was not the only one capable of this form of control. The worst part was seeing Akassa, his friend, agree to it as well. How much he wanted to argue it more... but he was outweighed. He simply stepped back and crossed his arms, closing his eyes as he took a couple deep breaths.
Something didn't seem right. Tsuyo planned to make his children kill civilians without knowing if their a threat at all. Was his rage really to the level of madness or did he simply not care about the effect it will have on their minds? It made Zeke sick. His own father had ordered Zeke to murder thousands of innocents... it drove Zeke mad in the end. Close to madness, anyway. Very close.
Then they began to put Nasu in the spotlight. Zeke opened his eyes, confused with the accusations against him. He had made an attempt on the King's life? The Red Flag had received funding from the Church? That would mean... Tejun was a spy. It was possible, but Zeke knew Tejun. He thought anyway. Zeke began to think and to question...
He did nothing for Nasu as of yet. Nasu would have to state his case before Zeke could generate his own opinion. He then intercepted thoughts from across the room, mostly by mistake. The woman, Celeh was going over things in her mind, it seemed. Zeke didn't invade it fully, just caught glimpses of her thoughts as she questioned the punishment they planned to implement, and the fact that Nasu did not finish Tsuyo. A true UCOO spy would have. She was hoping for answers soon, looking around even to Zeke who caught her line of sight. He didn't speak to her, but simply relayed his feelings telepathically so she knew she was not alone in wanting answers. Not alone with having to keep silent.
Zeke's attention went back to Nasu when he spoke...
"My name is Nasu Hattori."
Zeke's eyebrows raised. Another Hattori? He had a hundred questions, and some were being answered as he listened. His mother was murdered. He wanted vengeance. He disregarded the chance to take it to move on and save other members of the royal family. Zeke closed his eyes again and shook his head. He kept listening. He revealed that Akassa was not Natisha's child either... Zeke didn't even know Akassa was only a half Royal until now. It made the Queen's thought about her make a little more sense in a way.
"And I have a question for you, Nasu." Zeke would say, not looking up. "What makes you think that exacting your revenge is even remotely a good idea in the first place? I mean, at least this idea of Genocide that Tsuyo has issued is backed with a sense of justice, instead of simple rage-fueled revenge as it will prevent the Church from harming us, or any others again by eliminating them all together..."
He looked up, vanishing into a puff of smoke and reappearing behind Nasu, him now surrounded by three. He walked out of the smoke and came face to face with the boy. "...but your brand of vengeance is nothing more than selfish, murderous bloodlust. I know... I have felt it, and done it myself. I know first hand that it will change nothing." he stated.
Zeke stepped back and threw a hand out towards the King, pointing at him. He kept his eyes on Nasu's. "You could go ahead and kill king Tsuyo right now! But that will not bring your mother back. In fact, I'm sure she would frown on you for it! Kill that man, and you kill a husband and a father of four children. Have you even considered how it would effect Natisha, Ninjin, Akassa and Leke? You kill the man who keeps this whole society balanced and running. And without the King alive and at his fullest to defend us..."
His eyes narrowed. "... you would be killing the entire-Saiyan-race!" he yelled.
He never would have thought Nasu would go there. The Saiyans needed Tsuyo to survive. The effect of his death would plague the other Royals for a long time... Leke and Natisha would likely take it the worst. Years of anger and psychological damage for sure. Yes, it was understandable that Nasu would want revenge. what pissed Zeke off was the fact that Nasu did not even stop to think of anyone else.
Selfish bastard. Zeke wanted to smash the boy through the table a few times.

The boy did not know when to shut his mouth Natisha thought. Instead of taking the open door that she had been so graciously given him he decided to do something of utter stupidity. He stood in front of all those in front of the room and claimed that he was son to the legendary Tsuyo Hattori. He then proceeded to insult her children and Akassa. The one point in particular that Natisha was eager to see the results of was the pressing of ‘Mom Button’ for the half Saiyan princess. She had thus far not been successful in finding her mother but as far as the queen knew that had not stopped the young woman. She then watched as Zeke NeCross turned into a cloud of smoke, watched as the cloud of smoke moved across the room and then Zeke NeCross step out of the cloud. Like Akassa and Ninjin, Zeke NeCross now stood only mere feet away from Nasu Nun. He spoke harshly to the young friend who from what Natisha had heard had in fact worked together in the past. Zeke NeCross came to the defense of the crown declaring that he was being a fool and selfish. Natisha could not have been happier as she watched Nasu slowly become more and more isolated by his own actions. Before she could speak however something happened that she did not expect.
“Shu….shut your….mouth!” The King roared through his stuttering. Each word was pained by the fire that had been lit by Universal Church of One now poured forth. “You…you are….no Hattori! You are…deranged street scum…who only dreams….of grandeur!” Through sheer force of will the King’s speech became much more consistent. “You speak of matters…that never occurred…that you make up as you speak now…No son of mine…would ever be a traitor…to his own race!” Tsuyo continued. “You only draw breat...breath due to the queen asking…asking for me to give you mercy….in return…in return for saving hers and Ninjin’s life. But…that can change…” Tsuyo spoke. His strength was starting to quickly fade and he knew it. “You utter anoth….another word….a sin…single word…and you…will….di…die….righ…right here…and…now!” The Saiyan King finished as the pain finally overcame his rage. He would once again fall silent but his rage would persevere. His stare unrelenting, the boy spoke of subjects he could not hope to understand and perhaps now he would take the exit that was given to him. Nasu could live another day, enjoy another breath, and he should take this merciful gift. The Queen remained silent as she admired the strength that the man she loved even in his weakened state. She slowly drifted across the room until she stood next Celeh ever remaining silent. This council had been one of the more eventful meetings she had been to in a very long time, it was rather refreshing.

The prince could not focus on anything else as it occurred on the room after the queen had said her piece. It was as if the rest of the world faded away. The anger that he felt was bubbling up inside of him. Akassa reacted more poorly than Ninjin, but perhaps that was because Ninjin had been in too much shock to react in the same way. The rage that was pent up inside of him was going to be released, at the church, at his own failure, at his newfound brother.
Brother? That threw him through a loop. How could that be possible?! After all this time Nasu had been… had been his brother?! Why would he not tell him that?! Was it because he had vowed to kill Tsyuo? Was it because he didn’t trust him? Was it because, after all this time, Nasu had been working for the church!?
That train of thought made no sense. If Nasu had been working for the Universal Church of One for all this long why had he gone through all this trouble? Why had he saved his life time after time? Why had he saved his mother? Was it only to make it hurt more? Was Nasu capable of something that cruel?
The prince didn’t believe the Queen’s words either however. Nasu did not want the prince’s throne. At least not that Ninjin had ever observed. And even if he did killing Tsyuo would not have been the way to go about doing it. That still left Ninjin alive and if anything pissed off. Nor did he truly believe that Nasu was working for the Universal Church of One… It just didn’t make sense. None of it did. But he had been lied to. He had been lied to so much. And this was the final straw.
Flashes of images of his first meeting Nasu went through the prince’s mind. It pained him to think about.
Nasu then brought up something Ninjin hadn’t even really ever thought about, and it was enough to shock him in a moment of clarity. The line of conversation paused him. Akassa’s mother? It wasn’t very often that Ninjin had thought about Akassa having family other than the royal Saiyan one. But that was true wasn’t it…? She had family out there somewhere that wasn’t them.
The man exploding into golden ichor. Nasu afterwards, his smiling face reminding him of himself.
Zeke seemed more interested in chastising Nasu than the explanation he offered. Though his point was made, Ninjin thought he was being a little excessive. Though Tsyuo was clearly the most powerful out of them all, the Saiyan race would not be doomed by his death. They still had the rest of the royal family. Ninjin would ascend the throne, and it would be his duty to look after the race.
The bar. The talk. The ensuing fight against the agent of the church.
Tsyuo would have none of Nasu’s words. Though it visibly pained him to speak, the king persisted. In the king’s eyes there was no way that Nasu was a Hattori. But didn’t he bear the familial resemblance? Even since they first met Ninjin was stricken by how much Nasu bared resemblance to him. To them. To the Hattoris. He warned of rescinding his mercy should Nasu fail to leave and speak no more.
After the bar. The drinking. The party. The merriment. The...Trust...
Ninjin stared holes into his “brother”. If it was true, how could he have lied to him all this time. After everything they had been through? Ninjin turned away. There was no more he would say to Nasu about this matter right now. But they were not done talking. Not by a long shot. He owed Ninjin that much. Ninjin would talk, and Nasu would listen.
Had he been lied to this entire time. The Prince’s fists clenched in anger.
“I’m done here.” He said to those assembled. If he didn’t leave now he was simply going to explode in a rain of gore and guts due to shock and stress. His cape swished as he turned away and moved to walk out of the room.
“Alert me when the assassin shows up.” He pauses at the door. There was a desire deep within him at that moment to turn and scream at them all. Were they all lying to him? Was Celeh his sister? Zeke his brother? Who on this damn world wasn’t his father’s bastard? The thoughts made him all the more angry. He had to leave. He had to leave before he hurt someone.
With that Ninjin would makes his way through the tent flap. That was unless anyone stopped him.

“Now now, is that any way for you to talk to your brother?”
Akassa could not prevent her eyes from widening some at the bold words, but still they remained locked on Nasu’s. He claimed his last name was Hattori, that he had been sired by the very same King that was father to three others in the room. It was ludicrous; there was no way that royal blood flowed through this coward’s veins. Akassa herself was only half-royal, but she knew what it was to have that blood within her, she knew what the name Hattori stood for. What it didn’t stand for was the act she had just seen displayed before them all, the cowardly trick Nasu had played on two guards that had only been doing their duty. Beyond insulting and threatening her own father he had taken the life of two soldiers, taken them from their families to satisfy his own desire for revenge.
Yet for all his glaring faults, his cowardly act and pathetic lie about belonging to the same bloodline as the majority of them the Princess saw logic behind some of his words.
If his true goal had been to help the Church then why in the world had he passed up his chance to kill the King only to save Ninjin? A truly devoted member or mercenary of the Church would have taken the kill shot, removed Tsuyo from this world and helped secure Aer Nin’s victory over New Vegeta. After saving Ninjin he had moved on to protect Natisha, saving a second Hattori life…what was he after? With her eyes still on him she was about to ask a question of her own when the accused traitor turned back to her, looking right into her stern brown pools. For an instant he had started to peak her curiosity as to the possible holes in the Queens accusation, but that all washed away when the fool opened his mouth to address her directly.
On my sixth birthday, the last time I ever saw my father before today, he brought me back into my house.
Had Nasu been aiming to set the Princess off he couldn’t have chosen a more sensitive topic, or one that bit more deeply at her. Of course she was special; she was the strongest Hattori save no one at the moment, not even Tsuyo! How dare he insult her with such words, he knew nothing of the relationship between her and her Father. She would yet earn those Hattori colors while he would spend his days on some far off world, wasting away with whatever company a parasite like him might find.
Close to him, Nasu could no doubt hear Akassa’s teeth grinding together as her body tenses, trembling slightly as he continues. Had they not been in the presence of the others, in an audience of people that she mostly respected she would have already been pummeling him. When he finally referenced her mother directly, the fact she had looked for her even though it was forbidden, her eyes narrow dangerously. No one else in the room knew she had looked for her human mother, so how did he? It never crossed the trembling woman’s mind that he was grasping at straws. Aura flickering around her the Princess could not find the words to speak, her anger drowning out her words.
Around her others reacted to the claim, Zeke vanishing in cloud of smoke only to reappear right near Nasu. The ex-assassins words rang quire true, had Nasu even thought about all those he might affect with the taking of one life? Tsuyo may have been a father to some of them, but to so many more he was a King, a leader. The Hattori line had kept the Saiyan race together since its recreation so what might happen if its head was suddenly removed? Tsuyo himself wanted nothing to do with these wild claims of his “son,” the still ailing King managing to harness some of his formidable power to shoot down the traitor’s words. Even with his shaky voice rising Akassa didn’t register it, eyes boring into Nasu as he looked right back at her. Ninjin, who was hurt probably the most by all of this, simply removes himself from the situation before his anger got the best of him.
“I’m done here.”
She heard those words and felt his signature moving away from her. Even in this dire time, with this traitor right in front of them the Prince was able to walk away. Calming her trembling, Akassa knew she had to follow his example, she needed to act like the disciplined warrior she was. Reining in her anger some Akassa looks Nasu in the eye for a moment longer before her eyes look away. Although female and technically a Princess, most knew Akassa was not into all the frill and proper etiquette that the title typically required. Even so, she needed to act as her position dictated. Turning from him she started to leave as well, but one thought crept into her mind…screw this.
Only having turned away, Akassa whirls back around as her fully powered right arm coming up at an alarming rate, with its intended target the traitor’s jaw. At her full power, over 200,000, her fist slams into Nasu’s cheek. With such a power difference between the two there was little the male half-saiyan could do, Akassa feeling his body lurch back as the powerful blow takes him right off his feet. Allowing her arm to follow through after the punch she spins a little more, his body not enough to steal all her strikes momentum as he sails away from her. Having put everything she could muster into that punch she knew it wasn’t enough to kill him, but she had no idea how far it might send him through the rubble that surrounded the war tent and she didn’t care. Once the punch had been delivered Akassa turns to take her leave as well.
She shouldn’t have hit him, it wasn’t proper etiquette…but damn it had felt good. (Zeni please)
