"Yet you seemed to be quite confident that there were no other halfbreed killed, and if you're not all knowing, you don't know that for a fact. You call yourself the Cardinal of Truth, but you don't get the facts, you just make assumptions. That's not what truth is, you realize that right? On top of that, the good you might do, does not outweigh your evil, especially not with me. I call you murderous bastards because it was your church and its beliefs that killed my family. Try to sugarcoat it however you want or make up excuses to make yourselves feel better, but murder is murder. And you're still not getting it, if you hadn't ordered Arpatiko to get in their way, he would not be getting attacked. It's not his connection to you, it's their connection to me, friends and comrades help each other regardless of how powerful the enemy they face. I would do the same for them, if the situation was reversed, and while I don't want them hurt either it doesn't change the situation. By the way, if you're going to try lying, you should at least make sure I wasn't there to hear what you said, because no where in what you said had the words keeping my comrades safe. It was just telling Arpatiko to prevent them from interfering and using force if necessary, none of that says its for their safety."
It seemed that the Cardinal was going to continue trying to push the blame away from himself, and he could already see the cop out that he would try with killing his family. The fact of the matter was, the church struck first, and Conri was doing what any parent would do in his position and with his power. He wasn't about to make excuses for himself either, what he was going to do was murder as well, the difference was that he fully understood that. If it meant that he would be going to hell, then so be it, he would do the time if it meant that he could avenge the death of his family. The beast within was even wanting a piece of the Cardinal at this point; it may not have been smart enough to realize what happened, but its instincts told it that this wasn't just a simple enemy to crush. It was more than just a fight for survival, it wanted to destroy Sebastian and leave only a broken corpse behind as proof of what happened here this day.
A snarl escaped the Oozaru's lips as the Cardinal avoided the lightning blast, it seemed that he would have to do something rather drastic if he wanted to be able to hit Sebastian without putting others at risk. Despite everything that he should be doing, he had made a promise to Arpatiko that he intended to keep, which meant that the Oozaru form was something far too large for him to keep his word. So he would have to work on that part, besides, he wanted to start using some different methods on Sebastian and the best way to do that was with Fragarach. Sadly, it couldn't change size with him, otherwise he would have been using it this entire time to attack the Cardinal but that would be changing that soon enough.
"Yeah, and the biggest difference is that you would stoop to killing children for your beliefs, I wouldn't. So, you know what? After I finish with whoever else I need to deal with, I'm going to find a way to kill your god," there was no sarcasm or joking in that. He didn't care how long it took him, he would find a way to do it so that the bastard couldn't raise anymore of these churches. Regardless of how far-fetched it sounded as well, he would figure out something that would work, and he would not stop trying until he succeeded. He was highly motivated for this little research project, who better to take his frustrations out on then the one responsible for it all from the start.
When he appeared alongside Conri's snout, he didn't bother moving and took the kick, stumbling to the side slightly but recovering enough so that he could turn his head towards Sebastian ignoring the pain for now. Then he exhaled from his nostrils with as much force as he could muster, to launch two snot rockets at the Cardinal, the size of them alone would cover him with snot if they hit. Then he turned towards the Moon Ball and fired off a Ki blast at it to cause it to implode on itself and bring both of their powers back down to what it was before it went up. The more important thing was that Conri was back to normal size and could fight all out without worrying too much about the size of the blasts that he launched. Of course, he was feeling the burn of his Ki being reduced by 25% a bit more, but that was the price he would have to pay to keep his promise.
Launching himself backwards when he was returned to human form, he lifted his hands over his head and began to gather Ki once more, this time in the form of the Masenko. Gathering as much energy as he had with the bolt of lightning, but this time it would be a bit different, given that the Cardinal didn't have his sword handy. Meaning he would either have to go after it or he would have to try and close in on Conri to attack him, and the Half-Saiyan had a plan for each scenario.

Sebastian knew nothing of Conri’s family and the fate they had suffered nor at whose hands they had suffered it. It was obvious though there was more motivating the blue haired Saiyan than his desire to protect his friends and remove the Church for the “crimes” it had committed. For Conri Lane this fight seemed personal, his first real attempt to lash back at the group that had taken his former life away from him. Sebastian had no part in the death of his family, but by association he was guilty. Guilt however, was not always accompanied by remorse for the Cardinal felt none. The human was a man with feelings and in most cases could sympathize with others, but not his sworn enemies. First and foremost he was a Cardinal of the Universal Chuch of One. Over the years the Saiyan’s had become a powerful enemy of the Church and while Conri Lane fought for vengeance and the prevention of future deaths Sebastian did the same. No matter the outcome only one of them was going to live through this day.
”No…I would not stop from killing a child if it threatened the ones I care for and protect. I will warn you though, that if you manage to defeat me here and you plan to move forward and even find a way to challenge Aon himself you will be even more like me. One of the Cardinal’s is but a child, one that you will have to kill if you wish to accomplish your goals so again Conri, we are one and the same.” Sebastian was completely serious, just as his opponent had been before, fate had a funny way of matching similar individuals against each other just as often as it matched up opposites.
His foot connected solidly with the side of the great apes head, packing enough power to stagger the large beast, but not enough to take him down. When Conri turned back to face him the Cardinal was already preparing to avoid a snapping maw, but instead the ape exhaled sharply through his nostrils, launching gobs of snot at him. Eyes widening, the blonde turns his back to the disgusting attack as snot splatters of the back of his coat. Spinning away through the air the Cardinal gathers Ki into his form before blasting it outwards in an expanding barrier. The barrier cleans him of the beast’s gunk, but not before the Moon Ball gets blasted from the sky. Along with the power Conri Lane loses, Sebastian lost his boost as well, the blutz waves no longer powering his transformation.
Back in his normal state he snaps his eyes back over to Conri, seeing the blue haired man already had his hands above his head, energy charging between them as he gathered it for his next attack. Not wanting to let the warrior gather to much energy Sebastian charges back in. Arms out to the side he rockets in, ki spheres beginning to form in each palm. Rushing in the Cardinal tried to get in close before Conri could full charge his attack, both hands snapping forward as he came within striking range in an attempt to slam both of the spheres into his foes face, both designed to explode upon impact.

His snot rocket had hit home and even though Sebastian turned to not be hit in the face by it, it had given him the opening that he needed for his next ploy. The Moon Ball was blasted and their powers returned to what they were when this battle started, however, there was a big difference now. Conri had access to abilities that made him far more versatile than when he was in his Oozaru form, which could make him more deadly than simply having power at his disposal. That was when Sebastian decide to speak, and give him even more information about the church, which only served to add fuel to his anger. They had warped a child to their cause, had they caused the child to dirty his hands with blood as well? A flash of energy behind his eyes, perhaps the light hitting it at a peculiar angle, but there was now what could only be described as a fire behind them. It was not hatred behind them though, it was his own passion flaring up inside him and driving him to move forward even more in this battle, if for nothing else than to show the Cardinal of Truth what the truth about Conri Lane was all about.
"You're wrong, Sebastian. I won't kill him and I am not anything like you. For example, you say your faith is the source of your power? Then let me ask you, why can you not defeat me without any effort? Does Aon not believe in his people to get the job done? Do your followers not believe in you enough? I mean, if your faith is such a powerful thing then the answer must be that people do not have a lot of it in you," he paused for a moment in his speaking. Letting it sink in for a moment, if it was really set in destiny that he was to win, then why was he not able to do so easily? If they had so much faith in Aon and his ways, then why was he not more powerful than the Half-Saiyan? "Sure, they probably have a lot more faith in your big shot leader, but it doesn't seem the same for you. You are dependent on the beliefs of others, and you think they are the only fitting beliefs simply because, going by what you've said, you've had them pushed into your head since you were a kid. You don't even know what the universe is like out there, it's sad really."
That wasn't even Conri being condescending, he truly thought that it was sad that Sebastian didn't even get the chance to see what the universe was like outside of the Universal Church's small and narrow view. "There is an even more important difference between us, one that you will never be able to see as long as you keep the church's blinders on you. Though, I suppose that is your choice, and I will do what I must to make sure that my own choices are upheld. I feel sorry for you though, being forced into such a life as a child without knowing what the universe had to offer."
When he came flying at the Half-Saiyan with both of the his hands gathering Ki, a sharp smirk caught the corner of Conri's lips as he was glad to see what the Cardinal was doing. When the distance was closed to the point that neither one would be able to avoid the other's strike, he launched his hands forward with the full force of energy he had accumulated already. Firing the blast point blank into the attacks from his opponent, the attacks would collide and create an explosion with both of the warriors at ground zero. The power behind it sent Conri flying backwards, new burns and cuts covering his body as blood flowed down his arms from being so close to the point of impact. He could still move them, but they were pretty banged up now, the power in his own attack adding the majority into the explosion and he could only hope that Sebastian was caught in it as well. That was just the beginning of Conri's conviction to his cause, not only fighting against the enemy that wanted him dead, but willingly taking damage to inflict it as well.
If one could not bleed for his cause then what was the point of fighting for it in the first place, but he supposed that Sebastian was willing to do that as well. He could see that the Cardinal believed, even if it was misguided and wrong to do what the church was doing. That just left the Half-Saiyan with one option before him, and he would do everything in his power to see to it that his goal was accomplished.

”For a man that seems to feel he knows the Church and me so well, you could not be more wrong. Have you ever spoken to Aon, has his voice ever graced your ears? I think not, but if it had you would see that faith does not mean you possess unlimited power. The only being with such power is Aon himself. The strength I possess is what has been granted to me through his good graces, and while it is not enough to obliterate you with one blow it is more than enough to defeat you. Ones faith is constantly tested throughout the faithful individuals life and not matter how hard times might seem a true never gives up hope.” Endlessly Conri Lane tried to discredit Sebastian from what he claimed to be, but the human would have none of it. He knew the power that flowed through him at such a young age was a gift from his god, one that would keep on giving.
”When this is all said and done Conri I will have proven myself yet again, you will not be here to see it, but regardless it will be so. Perhaps when you travel to the afterlife you will take some time to reflect on what it is to have faith in something, beyond having faith in yourself.” Although a true believer of Aon the blonde human was not sure what the afterlife truly entailed. He assumed it was the bliss spoken about from the writings of those faithful to Aon, but one could never be sure what it looked like until they experienced it themselves. One day Sebastian would see it in all of its glory and he would bask in its wonderment. Until then he would remain faithful and do what was demanded of him, regardless of what fools stood in his way.
Launching himself towards Conri the Cardinal was not all together surprised by the reckless charge that the Saiyan employed. Their competing energies met and the result was a blinding explosion. With their combined strength put into the detonation it hit both of them equally hard; Sebastian blasted backwards at the same time Conri was. Groaning in pain the wounded Cardinal is launched backwards, bleeding from various cuts before he slams hard into the cavern wall for a second time in the fight. The stone wall of the cavern was no match for the speed at which Sebastian struck it, driving him deep into the stone once again. Taking a moment the human knew he had time considering that Conri had been hit by the exact same blast and would no doubt need time of his own to recover.
”GAHHHHHH!” Letting out the yell Sebastian activates his Ki barrier again, the sphere shaped wall of energy bursting out from him to create a small room within the rock. No longer being crushed by it he drops to a knee, panting some as he glares out the tunnel his body had made in search of Conri. Taking a deep breath he staggers forwards, his body a little worse for wear after that one, but the powerful Cardinal far from done as he makes his way towards the cavern.

"Why would I ever want to talk to a god that says it's good to kill innocent people? That's something someone incredibly stupid or evil would do. I know all I need to know about your church and you, why would I honestly care about some petty being that feels he has a right to have others killed on his own whim. Let's see him get his ass down here and do something himself but no, your 'god' hides behind a bunch of easy to manipulate mooks and has them do his dirty work for him so he can be the coward that he is. You don't understand what true faith is, because you believe it has to be tied to an outside source to be effective. Well, lemme tell you something, faith isn't something so narrowly defined and isn't as limited as you try to make it out to be," Conri was a little tired of this guy's constant spewing of bullshit. Faith wasn't connected to any one thing, that wasn't how it worked. However, he did learn more about the inner workings of the church and how they thought, so it wasn't entirely a loss. The more he found out about them, the better chance of taking them down he had.
"Yeah, wonder how your faith will be tested when you lose. What will you do then, Sebastian? Besides, whoever said I was limited to just having faith in myself? I don't remember saying that, just that you were dependent on the beliefs of others. I have faith in my friends and they have faith in me. It's the quality to your quantity, but faith alone can only go so far before you have to stand on your own two feet," he was being serious with that as well. It seemed he was a little too dependent on his faith for his power, it didn't seem like he bothered to actually train or hone his own abilities. It was a shame really, so much human potential going to waste serving a selfish being.
With them separate from each other after that blast, it was time for Conri to utilize the time constructively and not just sit on his thumbs. There had been another reason that Conri had brought the ship that had carried him and Arpatiko, then shredded it to make those spears from earlier. He had a plan for beating Sebastian, but it would take a bit of prep work for it to be able to be put into use, so while he was using the time to recover from the wounds he would get it ready. Summoning up some spider silk, he began to lift as much debris as he could to prepare for his onslaught of distractions, with his heavy weights being hidden out of sight with his psychokinesis, it was easy to wrap it in a layer of spider silk as protection. The next part would be the tricky part though, as he had to make sure to get it around Sebastian for it to take effect.
Hearing the yell he let a smile touch his lips once more, he wondered if he had done something to upset the Cardinal, but whatever could it have been? This was going to take a bit out of him again, unfortunately there was no helping it as he needed to take this guy down and try to stop the fighting on the other side. Sending out a small pulse of psychokinetic energy once more, it wasn't hard to pinpoint where the Cardinal was thanks to his tactile feedback. Aiming all the debris he started to fire off waves of rocks at Sebastian to distract his attention, once that was accomplished he would attempt to wrap him in the spider silk that was holding the heavy weights and try to cut his power in half. Should that work, Fragarach would be ready having taken the shape of a sniper rifle for Conri's purposes, he just hoped his plans worked out the way he had them in his head.

”You are ignorant of the universe around you Conri Lane, that is why you do not understand my faith. Anything that is different from your core beliefs is wrong and you cannot see the hand of fate that guides your every movement. Creatures such as us are but little parts in the grand scheme of things half-saiyan, something your race has never been able to comprehend.” History was on Sebastian’s side for that part, the Saiyan race having defied the paths laid before it in the past. They should have remained extinct, but an act of ungodly science had brought them back to this Universe, but in time they would be gone again. Fate was everywhere and in everything, no matter what one did he could not escape it. The Cardinal was aware that one day his life would come to an end and there was nothing he might do to prevent it. Unluckily for Conri Lane that day was not today, Sebastian knew his faith would see him through this day.
”Tell me Conri,” The human still having to shout to make up for the distance between them. ”Where is it you think you will go after you time is done? If you believe in your friends and yourself, which one of those will carry your soul when it leaves your body? For a man such as yourself I believe one end exists, one of eternal solitude and loneliness in purgatory. I feel you will realize this to late Conri, when your life is already slipping away from you. I wish I could convince you otherwise, show you the truth, but I see now that is impossible…not every is capable of handling the truth.”
As they converse Conri had begun to gather rocks with his mind, soon launching them as salvos towards the Cardinal. They were too numerous to dodge and without his blade in hand Sebastian was not confident that he could deflect them. Instead, he used the shelter he had available to him. As the rocks came onward the blonde drops right back into the tunnel he had just come from, the one previously made by his body being forced through it. Pulling all the way back to where he had activated his barrier to free himself from the crushing stone Sebastian could hear the rocks slamming against the cavern wall outside. Do to his visual disappearance and the sheer amount of rock between him and Conri now the projectiles would hit nothing but rock, even the silky weights slamming against the cavern wall.
Deep within the rock Sebastian gathers Ki into his hands, lifting them above his head as he starts to use the energy to plow through the rocks, tunneling higher into the wall. Although the sound of his ascent through the stone was audible to Conri it would be quite hard to locate the Cardinal through all the stone, his coat hiding his Ki signature spell. No attack came just yet though, the human continuing his way up through the thick stone off the cavern wall towards the ceiling. Hoping to remain hidden with his unsensable signature the Cardinal hoped to get the drop on the blue haired Saiyan…quite literally.
(If it’s not clear what Sebastian is doing just PM me and let me know.)

"Of course I don't know anything about the universe, but neither do you, if you honestly believe that you know about it then you're a bigger fool than I thought you were. No, the reason I don't care about your faith is that it demands the murder of people that have done nothing to deserve to be killed except exist. That is not a reason, that is just a lame excuse to make misguided fools feel better about killing people. By the way, if you're so sure that fate exists then answer me this, if the Saiyan race was fated to become extinct why were they allowed to be reborn. Don't bring any bullshit into this either, if fate is such a strong direct thing, then the Saiyan race would have never been allowed to resurface. Also, I'm a human as well, so you're kind of being stupid by trying claim my race considering I'm part of two. Well, you were a fucking moron the moment you thought it was okay to just go around killing innocent people, but this just adds to that. By the way, fate has nothing to do with me right here right now, the universe is too large a thing to care about little creatures like us, as you put it, but your own ignorance prevents you from understanding the beliefs of others as well," there was a smirking tone in his voice as he spoke. However, he wasn't happy, he was just amused to hear that this fool was becoming more and more agitated with him. So, Conri decided to do whatever he could to make this guy as angry as possible, that way he was more likely to do something stupid. Then again Conri was likely already on that path, but at least he had experience with it.
"Simple, I'll be heading to the after life myself, because I don't believe that faith has anything to do with where you wind up. It's about the type of person you are, and that alone decides it. Your actions and not your thoughts or intentions, what you choose to do is what makes the biggest difference. If the underworld has any sense of justice as well, all your friends that killed innocent people will be getting punished for their crimes. As for the Truth, we'll see which of us is on the side of truth and who is just a delusional little choir boy," another mocking tone towards the Cardinal. Wondering if the kid would pick up on the way he phrased that, hoping that it would continue to pester at him. It was one of the things he would try to deal with this guy in his own way, he wasn't going to rely on fate, he wasn't going to do whatever anyone else wanted him to do. He was going to settle this fight in the way that he wanted to and he was going to knock some sense into this little brat if it was the last thing that he did.
When he heard the smashing in the wall, he stopped the rock assault and brought the materials back around him and then dropping them where they stood because there was no more need for them from him. Instead he took hold of Fragarach and shifted it back into a sword, "I thought fate was on your side, so why is it that you are scurrying about like a little mouse instead of facing me head on? I mean clearly, if fate is on your side then you got nothing to worry about, so get down here and fight me. Unless you're scared of being proven wrong," his tone mocking as he prepared his blade. There was something else that he could do here as well, but it would probably take a bit of word play for him to get things set up right. Guess he had better get started then, because if he could set it up right, then he would try to use it against the Cardinal.
"So, what is up with the whole enslaving another race thing? Is that something that your god decreed as well, or is that just the church showing themselves as the dick bags that they are?" he was preparing another attack, this time it was his razor edge, as he channeled the Ki into the edge of his sword and focused it into a refined edge. He was waiting for a chance to use it against the human, and the first point that he could unleash it he would and hope that this guy would give him a clean shot. If that didn't work maybe he'd get information he could use against him instead. charge 1

Sebastian heard everything that the half-saiyan said, but he responded to none of it. This Conri was quite the dense warrior, even if he sported enough power to challenge a Cardinal one on one. The blue haired creature continued to ramble on about the Church and all of the evil it stood for, all of the murder that was done in its name. Of course it was true lives had been taken in the name of Aon, but it was what their God demanded and far from the only organization to do whatever was necessary to achieve its goals. Unless the Universe was to suddenly be enveloped in a everlasting peace there was always going to be death, Conri Lane himself was promising death to all those that believed the ways of the Universal Church of One was right. Beyond the powerful Cardinals that ruled it there was a whole civilization that believed in Aon and his decrees, would Conri let them all live? If he did more lives would be lost in the future, so would he choose to end some now to prevent the loss of life later? Was that justice?
When Conri asked about fate and if it was truly on the Cardinal’s side the human could only chuckle. Fate was not as black and white as the Saiyan seemed to think. Sebastian believed it was on his side, but that did not mean he would win this bought with one single blow, no Aon did not work like that. If that was how it worked than the Universal Church of One would have wiped out its foes years ago. He knew he was going to win this fight against the intruder if he earned it in the eyes of his god. Aon reward those that were faithful, but did not do so without making they earn it. Conri was a brutish fighter while Sebastian relied more on strategy, his intellect and creativity is what would win this fight for him and award him with the continued favor of his god.
Finally reaching the ceiling of the cavern, above where Conri stood charging his attack Sebastian listens in silence to the last of his questions. Again he shakes his head, knowing this one would never see what it was to be faithful to a power greater than you. He had spoken with Arpatiko for such a short time and took the aliens words for the truth and only truth as to the situation he was in. Perhaps if he had been around when Arpatiko and his people had first met the Church he might understand why it was that the people served the Church.
With no war scream or shouting the name of any attack Sebastian burst forth from the cavern ceiling, rock exploding outward with him. The human and the large chunks of stone fell towards Conri, the boulders helping to shield the human’s approach as she gathers Ki into both his hands. He had been able to sense the half-saiyan was charging his attack and the leading rocks would hopefully be enough to shield him or hide him as he approached. Sebastian planned to charge down at the fool and slam both his Ki charged hands into his face, the sheer force of the impact enough to drive his foe into the rock below.

"So let me get this straight, has anyone of you actually asked any questions or have you all just blindly followed orders like a bunch of fools? Seriously, has anyone questioned murdering people?" he was waiting for an actual answer, he wanted to know just what kind of...beings he was dealing with here. "Do you feel anything for the people that you kill? Do you feel any sadness at all? Do you feel any regret?" he demanded this time. Wondering what the answers would be, depending on what they were would change this entire battle right here and right now, because it would alter something else that was keeping it this way. It was about time that he seriously went on the offensive, he supposed and snot rockets wouldn't be of much use despite how fun they were to use. Cracking his neck, he readied himself to not let Sebastian get a break anymore from his attacks, unlike before he was going to start following through on them.
As the rocks in the ceiling broke, he figured out where his opponent had scampered off to, trying to attack him from above while using the debris as a shield for himself. A glimpse of a smirk as a plan unfolded within the mind of Conri Lane, he unleashed the Radiant Edge towards Sebastian, the power would easily cut through the rocks with the power he had put behind it. However, it wasn't aimed for the Cardinal either, at least not directly. He would use his own technique as a distraction for something else, instead diving under the member of the church as he came down with his fists. The Half-Saiyan would then turn and slash across the Cardinal's back in an attempt to cut some nerves and slow down how his body could react to attacks. Then the attack would hit its target, the general area where Sebastian had revealed himself from, to bring down more rocks onto the Cardinal.
If the human underestimated Conri, he would find himself severely hurt, where as his opponent took everything he did seriously it was just his blood calling for him to enjoy the thrill of combat. Of course, the Church had to be careful as well, if they continued to attack the Saiyans like they were, they would only serve to strength their enemies. Going after a race that was essentially built for war was never a wise idea, and underestimating them was an even worse one. Although he'd have to hold off on those big attacks for a while since he was feeling the effects from what he had down already, besides that the pain was starting to push through his adrenaline rush.
He also would have to try ending this battle as well, he needed to make it to Arpatiko in time otherwise the energy that he could feel growing from his human friend would likely mean a bad end result for the alien leader. He was trying to prevent them from having to do anything to the one that should them his home, he was not their enemy, they all were the enemies of the Church. He had to protect Arpatiko, even if it meant that he would need to do something drastic on this end to make sure that happened.

Sebastian heard his words, but was more focused on the combat at the moment as he fell from the ceiling of the cavern. With boulders leading the way the human dropped downwards, his hands glowing with Ki as he does. The Cardinal had expected the Saiyan to hold his position and continue to charge his attack, but his assumption is quickly proven wrong. His foes blade swung up into the air as energy ripped free of it, the powerful charge racing upwards. Luckily the attack wasn’t aimed directly for Sebastian, for with his descending speed it might have been impossible to dodge. The arc of Ki cuts through several of the boulders as the Cardinal lists slightly to the side, before it hits the ceiling above him.
With his foes attack having been released Sebastian was prepared for him to move, the fighter no doubt ditching his charge early so that he was not so restricted. Eyes following Conri as he dives under him, Sebastian was ready for the second attack although he had to get bit creative to keep himself from getting cleaved in half. Twisting in the air the Cardinal bring his hands up as if to intercept the blade with them, both still glowing with blue Ki. Not wanting to attempt catching or stopping the blade, the blonde releases the two blasts and both detonate between the two fighters. The force of the dual explosion sends him flying backwards, most likely doing the same to Conri.
Skipping across the stone Sebastian bounces several times before gaining control of himself as he floats back into the air. Dusty and with warm blood running from his nose the Cardinal snorts at Conri, finally responding to his question.
”Of course I feel sadness when I take a life; I am not a monster like you think. What consoles me is that even after they leave this world they will have a chance to meet Aon, perhaps finally believe and enjoy his company in the next world. I will regret when I take your life Conri Lane, will you have any if you happen to take mine?”
Shifting back into a small stance Sebastian cups both of his hands, starting to pour energy into his palms. He knew that Conri was getting tired, but so was he. Neither one of them had endless stamina and could only fight for so long. A blue sphere began to form in his palms, quickly starting to grow as he gathered energy. Sebastian intended to end this just like Conri did, and also like Conri if he won in time he would make sure no harm came to his companions, the Cardinal having no qualms with them.

When the Ki blasts exploded between them, he was sent flying backwards as well, bouncing across the ground like a rock across water a few times before coming to a rest. Pushing himself up to his feet he spit out a bit of blood that had started to pool in his mouth, listening to what Sebastian had to say and could only feel sorry for him. He was still just a teenager, but the church had warped his mind to such a degree that he honestly thought that was any consolation whatsoever for the crimes that they committed. Well, he was going to do what he could to convince this kid that it was wrong, and the simplest way to do that would be to ask questions. So he was going to start assaulting Sebastian's mind with questions and he had a lot of questions as well.
"Oh good, you did hear my questions, but you chose not to answer a few of them. Have none of you asked questions? There are too many questions surrounding this entire thing, so did anyone bother to ask them? Or have you all just given up your freedom for servitude?" he questioned, wanting to know just what had happened with the church, if he was the supposed Cardinal of Truth, then he should be able to say something regarding that. Of course, there were many more questions coming as well, "Also, you feel sad for people you kill, and yet, you kill them anyways. You kill them simply because they were born, which is something that they don't have any control over. How is that just in any way, shape, or form? In fact, that kind of makes you like Cell to be honest. You're not killing people for any just reason, you're just doing it for your own selfishness. The difference is that Cell did give the people of Earth a chance to stop him. You on the other hand just go around killing any and every Saiyan without the same opportunity."
His eyes locked onto Sebastian, seeing that while he may have thought himself still human, his actions were actually portraying him as the monster he had thought Conri imagined him. Instead, Conri continued to hold his sword in front of him and when the human cupped his hands, the Half-Saiyan held out his own beginning to gather electricity from the area and concentrate it in front of him. He had wanted to hold off from doing this again, but when he realized what the church was from his own statements there was no way that he could allow himself to hold back any longer. It was all or nothing now to stop them, he would try his best not to kill the man before him, but he could also not allow him or any other member of the church to murder anyone. Even though Sebastian didn't leave the planet and didn't kill anyone, with his mindset if he was sent off world, he would kill someone.
"I'm giving you one chance to surrender, and stop this foolishness. If you do we can end this peacefully and we can make sure none of the others gets hurt either. You seem to not want anyone else hurt either, so it should still be a win for you," he commented. Trying to give Sebastian a shot at changing his ways, to choose not to kill anyone and not get blood directly on his own hands. If he decided that he would continue through it regardless though, then Conri would not be left with any choice but to take him down full force, while trying as much as possible to not kill him. He would not let it get him killed though, from this point on, the Half-Saiyan was in a fight for survival and he was going to act like it. Electrokinesis Charge 1

Still gathering energy into his hands Sebastian slowly shakes his head as Conri speaks again. This half-saiyan was full of question yet he didn’t seem to understand the answers when they were given to him. Every answer the Cardinal had provided Conri had said was wrong, so why was he asking question if he didn’t want to hear the answers? The point of questions was to hear the truth, not to object and ask them repeatedly until you got the answer you wanted. It was no real surprise really, those of Saiyan descent always wanted things to go their way, could never justify anyone that was different from them. When the Saiyan’s went to war or took out “Criminals” did they ask all these questions before taking their lives? No, they did what they were hired to do and took lives.
”You still do not understand what it is to have faith. None of us gave up our freedom to live in servitude; we live in the embrace of our god. This very moment you are fighting to protect the ones you care for, does that mean you live in servitude to them?” Sebastian’s eyes did not leave Conri, still fully focused on their battle even as the two exchanged dialog. ”And we are killing them for a reason, they do not deserve to exist and as long as the Saiyan race continues to exist it will take lives. We may be taking lives, but in effect we are also saving them.
The sphere between the Cardinal’s hands continued to grow, the energy pulsed the same deep blue that flowed around the human. Of course he could sense that Conri was charging as well, but it did not matter, his faith would win out. As much as this Saiyan did not understand the Church the Cardinal hoped that when he had passed on that even he might get to meet Aon, perhaps the he would understand that the Universe has a plan. The plan laid forth by Aon was a simply one and in its belief those creatures that failed to live were lost to the folds of time. The Saiyan race had its time and had failed, only through a monstrosity of science had they returned.
”I will not surrender Conri, I cannot. To be fair though, I will give you a counter offer. Cease your resistance and lay down your life and your companions will not be harmed. You speak about saving lives so back up your words with action, for even if you manage to defeat me it will not guarantee your friends safety. I am the only Cardinal here on Belegost, but many more reside on its sister planet, Mement Mor. If I am to die they will come for you and when they do I can assure you that none of you will survive. The choice is yours Conri Lane.”

The moment that Sebastian shook his head, Conri understood that he didn't understand what the Half-Saiyan was saying at all, but if he didn't want to think about it then the Half-Saiyan was going to spell it out for him. "Okay, let's start from the beginning with this. Aon decides to contact your leader or whatever, telling him to kill Saiyans because he doesn't think that they should live. The first question out of your leader's mouth should have been why? You realize that much, right? Then he should have gone on to think of why a god that is supposed to be supremely powerful doesn't do it himself, because if he is that powerful there is no reason not to do it. So, why would he need a group of mortals to do his work then? There are two simple answers to this, either he can't or he's a lazy god. Those are the simplest explanations for him looking to mortals to do what he wants done. If it's the former then it also means that he is acting like a giant child by getting others to do what he wants. If it's the latter then it makes all of you a bunch of fools for following a lazy god that can't get off his ass long enough to get the job done personally. Which makes your whole little crusade against Saiyans all that much sadder as well, or more hilarious, it's hard to really tell with the mental image that I've got going in my head. I suppose I also feel pity for the ones that are a part of the church and are just letting themselves be used with such a lame ass line like having faith in a god as if that actually excuses anyone of murder," he shook his head, more out of disappointment with the people that were following Aon. Then Sebastian tried to compare what the Church was doing to what he was doing to protect his friends, and Conri could only laugh at the stretching of perspective that had to be done for those to even be similar.
"Except for the fact that if one of my friends told me to murder people I would say no and question them on it, rather than just go around murdering people for selfish reasons. Where as you choose to murder people just because you are told to do so, gee I wonder which one sounds more like servitude here," he tapped his cheek in mock thought. "Sorry, but the moment someone is born they deserve to live, so you are wrong on that account. Plus not all Saiyans are for killing, I mean hell, if you guys were half as intelligent as you say you are you would know that Ninjin has no interest in pointless bloodshed. Even if he did and tried, I would be there to get in his way, because that's what friends do for each other. Then again, explaining friendship to you is probably useless since you believe in pointless bloodshed yourself. Besides the fact that members of your church have also likely killed humans, I know for a fact that one has as well so don't try to lie to me. You commit murder and then try to justify it by saying your god commanded it of you, sorry but that is plan servitude right there, you did something just because someone told you to do so."
Never once taking his focus off the battle while he countered the Cardinal's points, he continued to pour more power into his ever growing lightning bolt. The power rising to such a degree that the heat began to start evaporating the moisture in the area, crackling with the power of raw nature. He could feel the strain of gathering the energy start to wear down more on him, but he wouldn't stop here, he was going to survive this battle and then move on to deal with the rest of the church. There was no way that he could allow them to continue to kill innocent people, especially not children, that Sebastian refused to see that killing a child was the action of a monster was something he could just not ever understand. Aon was not a righteous god, he was a selfish god, and he would have no problems saying so to Aon's face either. Listening to the 'counter offer' that Sebastian made simply caused him to laugh even harder than he had before when he tried to compare them to each other, but this was just too good. Sebastian had said the one thing that pretty much guaranteed himself as the villain here, that line was a classic one for villains in so many different types of stories.
"PPFFFHAHAHAHA, oh man, that is too rich and the fact that you said it with such a straight face is hilarious as well. I mean, seriously, do you realize the line you just used and the implications of it? HEY GUYS, CAN YOU HEAR ME? THIS GUY JUST GAVE ME THE 'SURRENDER YOUR LIFE AND YOUR COMPANIONS WILL NOT BE HARMED' LINE. CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT? Oh, man, that is just too great, I'm sorry I haven't laughed like that in a long while. Oh, gimme a couple of seconds," he said, even though his attention was still on charging the attack, that kind of laughing was something that he had not done in a long while. He needed to collect himself a bit though since this was more of a serious situation, and taking a deep breath he settled himself into a serious state of mind once more. He need to word this in a way that Sebastian would be able to try to understand, granted that would be the hardest part since he seemed to not understand the concept of friendship from his earlier comments. Although he supposed that he didn't have to do that and he could just give a straightforward answer.
"Sorry, but don't you know that the hero never surrenders to the villain even after they give that line? Plus, I can save more lives by staying alive than you can by killing me, because I don't look at the universe in such a narrow view. Of course, explaining that to someone that is brainwashed is pointless because they'll even argue the point of being brainwashed, not realizing that they are in the wrong. I mean, you honestly think that it's okay to kill children, that's just sad. Anyways, I think we're done talking here, I understand your thought well enough to know that given the chance you would be a monster just like the others. I also know that none of you do your homework about the people that you're killing because you don't know anything about the path that can be created by Saiyans. At the very least by a Half-Saiyan, and before you start that crap of me not understanding faith, I understand it perfectly. You think that you and your god get to decide who lives and dies, but I refuse, so come at me bro," he ended the talking there and poured as much of his power as he could into the technique, he was going to have to make sure that the church was defeated. Conri Lane was a fool. Again he asked for answers from Sebastian, but would not accept any of them as the truth. Did one look up the definition of a word in the dictionary then question its meaning? It was a perfect example of the Saiyan mindset that promised to bring more chaos and destruction to the Universe. As much as Conri spoke about his path being righteous compared to the Church's, the Cardinal wondered if it had ever truly been tested. Sure Ninjin Hattori was supposedly against bloodshed now, but how might he react after the attack on New Vegeta? If he somehow managed to survive it that was. Would the Prince be so willing to spare the lives of members of the Church after they had taken even more of his own peoples? Sebastian believed Conri was naive when it came to the workings of the Universe, a hard awakening inevitably in his future.
"You assume much Conri Lane. I suppose I should not have expected someone not blessed by Aon to understand his will, you might yet get to meet him. As for why he does not act himself, that is because god's do not interfere on a personal level, much like the Kia's of the old tales. I have read the histories of Earth and those powerful beings were mentioned, but never once did they try to help the hero's of old." He did not know if Conri knew of the old tales, written about by one of the last natural Saiyans, Gohan. The Church was well versed in the histories of various cultures for many came to them, seeking their protection and sharing their faith. In those histories powerful, godlike beings, had existed, but never interfered. Such was the way of gods as it was not their place to walk the mortal realms.
"One day you might see Conri that the Universe is not as simple as you believe, even if you do not realize it until you have passed on. People change, even those that you would least expect and if you manage to defeat me you may find yourself one day pitted against them. On that day what will win out, your friendship with such an individual or your desire to protect others?" Sebastian had friends and even in his short life some had gone down very different paths than he, becoming heretics that spoke out against the decrees of Aon. The Cardinal had been forced to pick, choosing his faith over his friends, what would Conri choose if facing a similar situation?
Whether the Saiyan was right about the meaning of faith or not, he was right that the time for talking had come to an end. The two fighters were from different worlds, one that relied on his faith in a god and the other the faith in his friends. Still having his hands cupped at his side Sebastian continued to gather energy into the attack, the blue ki between his hands humming with power. He could easily sense that Conri was gathering more power as well, but that was just fine. Sebastian knew he had begun to channel the energy first, his power growing slightly ahead of his foes. When he was ready he planned to obliterate the blue haired buffoon in one powerful blast.

"You really wouldn't want me to meet Aon, I'd be likely to just spit in his face than bother listening to a prick like him. Also, that's bullshit, he's interfering already by giving powers, information, and all sorts of other things. He's just acting like a little punk ass bitch because the universe doesn't adhere to what he thinks should happen. Maybe the Kai's didn't interfere, but Aon certainly is by doing what he has so far. Just by talking to you, he is interfering," that alone changed things in a massive way. Of course, that was assuming they weren't all under mass hallucinations, but there was no way to really tell with that. Sebastian continued to think that just cause someone told him to do something, that made it alright, that was like the very definition of being gullible. Then he brought up a topic of people changing, and wondering what he would choose when the time came, only stating two options which elicited a smirk from Conri.
"Sorry, you might be limited in your choices, but I'm not limited in mine. You think their are only two options in that scenario, but you would be wrong. Besides, I never once said the universe was a simple place, but then again I wouldn't expect you to understand my capabilities or my will," this time he was grinning. It was always amusing to him to see his enemies underestimate his abilities or not understand what all he was capable of doing. There was no way that Sebastian could truly understand what it meant when Conri said those words, his world had been shaped by the church into a narrow view.
Flaring his aura to life once more, he channeled even more power into his own technique, the gathering electricity began to release a humming sound with all of the power gathered. The loose strands of hair around his head soon beginning to lift up from the static electricity being generated as well. This was likely going to be their final clash, so halfassing things wasn't going to fly now, he had to give it everything that he had. His friends were fighting to get to him as well, so he couldn't go dying on them and making all their work up until this point useless, that wasn't how he showed his thanks to them. He was going to survive, he was going to continue to keep getting up, just like during the spar between himself and Kurosanai. He would continue to rise again and again, until he was dead because if he didn't they would be in trouble and he couldn't allow anything to happen to them.
He learned from his mistakes, he wouldn't stop fighting because the situation seemed to be safe, because because he couldn't trust his enemy. Especially not after his comment of killing a child that might threaten his people, that right there told him he was not someone who could be trusted to keep his word with his friends. He was fighting for survival, but not just his own, the survival of his friends and comrades as well, to keep them safe he had to make sure that Sebastian couldn't be a threat to them. Charge 3
