”One day you will see Conri Lane, until then you will not understand. I am done trying to explain my view to you.” They were simply too far apart, opposite sides of the board and never able to convert the other. Aon was real, Sebastian knew that to be a truth, and he knew that his god had never deceived him or lead him down the wrong path. Conri believed in his own free will and so did the human. Sebastian however believed in being part of something greater than himself, that was why the Cardinal had dedicated his life to the Universal Church of One. Those that believed in Aon and his blessed organization knew what it meant to fully alive, to serve a higher purpose of your own choice.
Blue energy gathered still between his hands, the attack having grown immensely in power since his charge had begun. Around him the Cardinal’s dark blue aura rippled and surged, growing in tandem with the attack he was charging. Still his foe did the same, the two combatants preparing for what might be the final exchange in their battle. It was a shame that it had to be this way, but the Cardinal knew there was no way to end the fight without one of them dying. Both had tried to convince the other to see their side or lay down their arms, neither of them willing to do so. When he was done here the human hoped he could talk the Saiyan’s friends down, not wanting them to suffer the same fate as Conri Lane.
No sooner had that thought crossed his mind did Arpatiko’s signature waver before blinking out. Not close enough to look over and see what had befallen the Kinigo, Sebastian did not need to. Somehow the others had managed to defeat him. Saddened by the loss of the alien protector of Belegost, Sebastian pours even more energy into his attack. He could no longer save Conri’s friends from the same fate that the blue haired warrior was about to suffer, they had now made an enemy of the Universal Church of One. With the death of Arpatiko they had sealed their fate; none of them would be leaving this system alive. Even should Sebastian somehow fall the Church would not be long in finding out what they had done. When that happened there would be no escape.

"Nah, i won't ever understand you, cause murder isn't a good thing. You're gods a whiny dick, you guys are his little inhuman monsters, that's about all I need to understand," he was done himself. It was funny the excuses that Sebastian tried to pull out to make it seem like they were somehow in the right, but the fact that they were murdering people outweighed everything. That he didn't even realize that was just sad and pathetic, never should someone be willing to take a life so readily. It should only be reserved as a last resort, somewhat like in this situation, it was obvious now with Sebastian that he wouldn't stop attacking the Half-Saiyan. This was a fight for his very right to live, and he would not let anyone or anything tell him he didn't have that right, he had been born just like any other person. It didn't matter to these idiots though, they would do whatever they wanted, and they wouldn't care about anyone else. So, he was going to fight for his survival regardless of what it required, he was not going to let anyone else dictate his life.
With his determination focused he powers even more energy into his attack, noticing a shift in the polarity of the charge as well as a build up of magnetic energy. He could tell from the crushing effect it had on the rocks around it, but that wasn't important right now, the important thing was that he dealt with Sebastian. Hopefully he could make it in time before anything bad happened with the others, but while he was thinking that, he felt the surge of power from Kurosanai finally being launched. He could tell that there were three signatures over that way as well, two of which he knew to be his friends. The third one was mostly likely Arpatiko, which immediately had his heart sink as the massive energy attack was headed towards it. He could feel it fading away shortly after, and he closed his eyes to give Arpatiko a moment of respect, he understood the warrior even if he didn't agree with his way of doing things.
"Rest in peace, I hope you find your freedom away from the Church," he whispered to himself, knowing it wouldn't mean much, but he hoped that the alien would find himself in a better place. Arpatiko had told him of his people's plight, so he would need to see things through to the end by taking out the Universal Church of One after he was done with his current opponent. As much as he tried to resist as well, he couldn't help the tear that rolled down his cheek, even if he had not known the alien warrior long, he knew of the honor and pride he held. Concentrating his mind, he would fight with everything he had to make sure that warriors like him were no longer under the rule of people like the Cardinal. Pushing even more power into the attack, he would prepare to end this battle in a single decisive attack, it was time they settled this fight of theirs.
The arrogance of the Church was going to continue getting people killed, it was time to put an end to it once and for all. No more would people suffer for the sake of the Church's goals, they would finally learn that their were consequences to the actions they performed. They committed murder against countless people and now it was time for their own punishment, hopefully the ruler of the underworld would see that their punishment was fitting for them all. Charge 4

The point for talking and arguing had passed. Artapiko was dead and the strongest of the invaders stood across from him. Once Conri Lane was defeated the rest would be easy to dispatch, their numbers would not prevail over the power Sebastian was able to wield. Artapiko had been do hesitant to remove his enemies, the creatures having labelled themselves as much upon attacking, and it had cost him his life. There would be cleanup work after this now, the leader of the Kinigo’s dead and the rest of his people no doubt furious. Conri had spoken so much about taken innocent lives and how the Church had no right to cast such judgments on people. Where his friends any different? This was not their home, yet they had shown up with their own intentions and taken a life without even fully understanding what it was they were in the middle of. They were all fools.
Eyes fixed on Conri, Sebastian felt the power he held in his hands coming close to the maximum he could successfully control. It was more than enough to obliterate his opponent even if he had maintained his bestial form from earlier in the fight. Fully aware his foe had been charging at the same time he was not sure what attack the half-saiyan might release, but it did not matter. Conri Lane would die and if the Cardinal died in the process then he had done exactly what was demanded of him. Aon would welcome his sacrifice with open arms, just as he would great him in the afterlife.
Sebastian had always been a faithful follower of his god, no matter what others had seen him as. Conri Lane saw him as a monster, while many saw him as one of the saviors of the Church. The Cardinals were respected by their people, all of them knowing the power they possessed was given to them by none other than Aon himself. Conri believed that they all followed their faith blindly, but it was so far from the truth. Faith is what ran the Universal Church of One and not the other way around. The belief in his god is what gave Sebastian the power he wielded and what contributed to the growing strength of his attack. It was more than enough to defeat this non believer.
The Cardinal’s hands thrust forward from his side, palms bursting out towards his foe. With the motion the energy he had been building up was released. The blue energy that had been gathering expands into a blue beam nearly10 feet in width. No crazed battle cry came with the attack, only determination. One way or another, whether it be by his life or his death Sebastian would yet again prove his devotion to Aon. The surging beam of Ki rockets towards Conri, intent on removing his existence from this Universe.

He needed to figure out what happened and why the others had killed Arpatiko, something didn't seem right about it, Kurosanai had seemed like the type to do anything to keep everyone alive. So, what happened where they had managed to kill him? They would have to do something proper for the warrior so that he could be properly honored, but that would have to wait until after he dealt with Sebastian. He was sick of him spewing the bullshit that his people had the right to decide that others didn't have the right to be born or exist just because of their origins. Granted, he would have to deal with the others as well, since they had gone so far as to kill the one that had tried to recruit their help. If he was so into the whole faith thing then he would get a kick out of this attack, especially with the power that was flowing through it now. The lightning bolt has been a symbol of divine punishment for a long time, it would be poetic justice that someone who proclaimed to be carrying out divine will was struck down for by the symbol for those who were divine.
His eyes set into that of hardened determination, there was no turning back from this point, the conflict would be settled and only one of them would be walking away from it. He had hoped it wouldn't come to needing to kill the younger one, but it was a matter of his survival and he would survive regardless of what he or his asshole deity wanted. It was a shame, but by no means would he allow someone to just kill him, even if it seemed hypocritical which Conri could agree on. The issue was, the Half-Saiyan didn't strike first, him taking the Cardinal's life would be an act of not only self-defense, but also protecting others from their actions. The energy was almost at its highest point, but he wondered what the repercussions to the planet and its people would be if he took his energy even higher. As it was, it was a danger to more than just the two of them and had the potential to harm everyone underground including the citizens.
With the energy surging already, the moment that Sebastian released his attack, Conri simply directed his own and let the massive bolt of lightning tear through the air towards Sebastian and his attack. It was time to see who would survive this and who would be sent to the next realm. He just hoped that Kurosanai and the others would be alright, they most likely would be, but the Cardinal wasn't someone that could be trusted normally anyways. Still, with Kurosanai and Frigid, even should he be taken down, the two of them could likely finish off Sebastian. That was only if though, he had no plans of getting killed by this bastard, even if it just meant clinging to life with a completely broken body just to spite him.
Putting his hands forward he focused his mind on the released lightning keeping it focused dead center on the man from the Universal Church of One. (Electrokinesis released power level 606016)

The blue beam of energy flew towards Conri at alarming speed, but the Saiyan would not stand idly by and let himself be consumed by the purity of Sebastian’s attack. The blue haired beast unleashes the energy he had been charging as well, lightning arcing from his extended hands on a collision course with the Cardinal’s attack. It felt like minutes before the separate blasts collided, Sebastian pouring more energy into the beam as it reached out for his foe. Even those possibly watching from afar would be able to see the two powers heading towards each other, and all would be able to feel the reaction when the opposing forces collided.
Blue energy and crackling lightning collide with each other with thunderous force. For an instant the two attacks stall against one another, Conri’s lightning sending out arcs of electricity in all directions. Some of the stray spikes of energy hit the cavern ceiling and floor, ripping through the stone like a hot knife through butter. The momentary stalling of the blasts ended with a blinding explosion, Sebastian closing his eyes as the light from the detonation washes over him. Following the light from the blast was the catastrophic explosion itself. Had they been on the surface of a planet the result would have been the same, but they fighters would not have had countless tons of stone above them. Starting at the point where the two blasts met a sphere of blue energy expands outwards, lightning crackling along its surface as the two techniques combine into one.
Rock and everything else rips apart as the explosion quickly expands outwards, Sebastian throwing up his arms as he surrounded himself with Ki in an attempt to save himself from the same fate. It wouldn’t take long for the expanding globe of Ki to overtake the spots where Sebastian and Conri had been standing, the Cardinal thrown backwards along with all the boulders that had managed to survive the blast thus far. As the energy formed a crater in the solid cavern floor it ripped away at the ceiling, the cavern shaking as the explosion ripped through it. Launched backwards Sebastian felt the energy burning at him even though his barrier, boulders pelting him as they fell from the ceiling. Not able to resist the amount of power that was forcing him back he smashed through several stalagmites before slamming up against one that dwarfed the rest. There he groans in pain as rock from above pelts him, the Cardinal soon buried in what just might be a tomb of stone.
(My apologies for the delay, staff was discussing what the result of two powerful blasts like this colliding would do in terms of reaction.)

It was almost as if time started to slow down as the two attacks approached each other, the span was no more than a few seconds, but it almost seemed like much longer to the Half-Saiyan. It was almost a surreal calm, like on before a tornadic storm, that eerie calm that despite appearances something bad was approaching. Then again, maybe it was like the eye of the storm, everything seemed to have subsided but the reality was that it was going to be coming again with just as much if not greater force. That was what it was like for Conri Lane, except on a much larger scale because it would not be a tornado that was approaching, but something far worse than that.
When the attacks collided his lightning bolt sent off smaller ones that cut through the underground cavern like it was made of tissue paper. The attacks pushing against each other with all their might in a battle for dominance, with each of the combatants trying to push more energy into their respective attack. What happened was not that one overcame the other, but they combined into a truly terrifying force that targeted everything in its path. Including the ones that had launched the two attacks separately, they were at essentially ground zero for this highly devastating monstrosity of an attack. There wasn't much he could do to protect himself due to a lack of defensive skills, hindsight was a bitch like that. So, he went with what he could do at the moment, and threw his arms in front of his body overlapping in an 'X' fashion. He followed that up by surrounding himself in a sphere of telekinetic energy to try to soften the blow as much as possible, not taking any damage from this thing was an impossibility at this point.
The attack ripped the very ground and ceiling apart throwing rocks against the Half-Saiyans body, before the blast itself collided with the sphere of energy and launched him backwards. Stalagmites, flowstones, and even a few columns are some of the objects that he slammed through on his way to whatever his destination. Slamming into a wall, the thickness of it stopped his flight dead in its tracks causing a sick cracking sound throughout his body as he slumped to the ground. Before he could register anything else though, a large rock came crashing down onto his leg, and shattering the bones within it almost instantly.
Looking to see that there were more rocks coming towards him, he made a spiderweb out of his spider silk technique in a desperate attempt to keep from getting crushed. The pain from all his injuries had become too much though and he could not stay awake long enough to see what would happen with the rocks. Instead, his eyes closed being enveloped into darkness as his consciousness slipped away from him, only time would tell what happened to him now.

His body was battered, but not beaten. Lying underneath the pile of rubble Sebastian felt the sharp angle his ankle was twisted at, something that was not natural for the joint. Various bruises and cut dotted his body, his clothes having been shredded in several places except for his coat. The magical enhanced garment did not offer him protection, but the magics that inhabited it protected the material itself. Chuckling some at the fact his coat was more durable than him the Cardinal shoves at the rock in front of his chest. With his body in its current state he did not have the reserves to access his true power, but he still maintained enough strength to shove the rocks from atop his person. As the rubble tumbles away a sharp pain spikes through his chest, broken ribs no doubt. Rising from the rubble he realized how lucky he was as he sees the entire cavern has not come down. While it had suffered plenty of damage it was not enough to affect the integrity of the surrounding tunnels, the two having been fighting towards the caverns center.
Shoving up to his feet the blonde quickly discovers that the pain in his ankle was not imagined the appendage no longer able to support his weight. No bother, he knew how to fly so the Cardinal lifts into the air. Across the cavern floor he could sense Conri’s power signature and it was dropping, the half-saiyan either dead or dying it seemed. Sebastian needed to make sure though, he could not leave until confirming that his powerful foe had been defeated. The Saiyan’s recklessness had saved him in the end, the only reason Sebastian faired so well was due to the dampening effect his barrier had upon the blast. Both of them had been near the outskirts of the powerful explosion, but it seemed that Conri Lane had not been able to throw up a proper defense in time.
Floating across the battlefield, surveying the newly formed crater in the cavern floor Sebastian realized again how lucky he had been. Should the two combatants have been closer there would most likely be nothing left. Slowly floating across the crater and towards Conri’s side of the explosion the Cardinal notices a glint of metal among the rock. Diverting from his path towards the object a small smile spreads across his lips. Sticking from under the edge of a rock was the dusty hilt of Justice, his sword. Yanking the weapon free with a wince, from the pain in his chest, he turns back towards where he sense Conri’s weak signature.
At the edge of the cavern against the wall sat Conri Lane, partially buried in rock with a web of some sort preventing more from dropping upon him. The warrior looked to be unconscious, but his chest still moved. Holding his sword Sebastian approached, prepared to do his duty and send the Saiyan to meet Aon, perhaps then Conri Lane might finally understand.

Unfortunately, Conri was not so lucky, despite being the same distance from the blast as Sebastian had been he had no defensive abilities to reduce the damage like the Cardinal had. His makeshift defenses had reduced it no doubt, but the overall damage to him was still greater than if he had learned to make a barrier himself. His remained still consciousness not returning to the Half-Saiyan, the damage had piled up quite a bit onto his body and it was taking his body a while to adjust to it all. In the meantime his body was limp against the wall where he had landed, unable to wake of his own accord, but still able to hear his surroundings to an extent.
All Conri could do was lay there waiting to wake up, he didn't even realize that he was unconscious, in fact his mind was currently filled with a dream. As it was now, he was just a sitting duck for the approaching Cardinal, no way to defend himself or even realize what kind of situation he was in. It would come down to if the others would come to his aid with their own battle over now, but if not then there was nothing that he could do in his current state. The pain had overloaded his mind with all the feedback, and it was likely he would not be able to wake up to defend himself, it was time to see how Conri's luck would play out.
The only good thing that came out of being unconscious was that the Half-Saiyan looked like he was at peace, whatever dream he might be having was most likely the source. Which led to the one good thing about him being unconscious right now, his body was getting time to relax and gather some strength with his breathing. Whether it would be able to be put to any use was another story, but for now it was the sliver of good in this bleak situation.

Post by Kurosanai Muzai on Jul 25, 2014 0:56:05 GMT -5
The air ripped past his face as his body tried to get used to the weights on his body again. His adrenaline was pumping as he tried to push his body to move at top speed with all of his power. The boulders that had come down just moments earlier from the blast that Conri and the cardinal of the Universal Church of One now crushed Conri beneath them as the cardinal stood poised ready to take the half saiyan’s life from him. After everything that had just happened with Arpatiko, Kurosanai could not allow his friend’s life to be taken from this world because he was not powerful enough to stop him. He had been too weak to stop Arpatiko without killing him and he did not want to have Conri’s death on his hands either. The human pushed himself to move faster and faster and his power higher and higher.
As he neared Kurosanai ignited his Aoiro in his eyes and was once again greeted with the sight of the fact that cardinal from the Universal Church of One still did not display ki pathways like normal living creatures. He could see them in his head and hands but everything beneath the coat was unknown to the human. Perhaps it was the actual coat itself that hid the pathways from him. If so then this was something that he had never encountered before in his entire lifetime. His theory would have to be tested but until then he had someone to deal with. If the cardinal could sense energy he would have felt the prodigy of the Muzai closing in like a charging bull. He probably would have also heard him ripping through the still air. He would have really heard him when Kuro yelled out.
“STAY AWAY FROM MY GOD DAMN FRIEND!” His voiced roared as the distance between them quickly grew shorter and shorter. Kurosanai knew that he had the fire that he had somehow so effectively used against Arpatiko in his arsenal, even though the reason how he knew how to do so remained a mystery, but he made a silent vow to himself that he would not use it. He could not deal with hearing another person burn to death and smelling the burning and bubbling flesh of his enemy. This fight would be decided rather on his martial knowledge and the ability of his clan’s techniques. Unfortunately Kurosanai had a feeling on how this fight was going to end which made his spirit waiver.
‘Stand firm. If you want to save him you are going to have make a tough choice. This is one of those choices. Do you let him die or do you stop the man who is going to stick a sword through his skull.’ A voice echoed in his head. At first Kurosanai did not know where it was coming from before it dawned on him who it was. It was Fujin Muzai and it appeared that he had not fully disappeared yet.
‘I refuse to let Conri die as long as I draw breath!’ Kurosanai roared in his head.
‘Good. You are finally showing some promise. Now hurry up already damn it, you are going to lose the advantage of surprise if you take much longer.’
‘Right! I gotta ask right now though…you going to backseat fight the entire time?’ Kurosanai answered with confidence.
‘Well, seeing as how you have almost no real life or death battle experience and you are the only one who can access the Aoiro…you can bet your ass I am.’ Fujin countered back. This caused Kurosanai to laugh to himself. It felt strange having the leader of the Muzai talk to him like that as he gave off the vibe that it was not exactly in his character. ‘Now show this guy the might of the Muzai clan.’
Kurosanai would not have to respond as at this point he would be on the cardinal. His hands would dart outwards to grab at his shoulders. They would latch onto anything he could get a hold of, by doing this it would slow down his upper body while his legs were still traveling at their current speed. Using this momentum combined with his upper body strength Kuro would flip in the air before launching the cardinal across the room hopefully into the wall. This momentum would be further added by the extra weight of his training weights that hung on his body. He would not let the Cardinal breath however as he would be on him instantly. Kuro would slam his right fist hard into the Carinal’s right side before following it up with a hard left elbow that he torqued his entire body to generate more power through. This Cardinal was going to pay for attacking his friend, for making him fight Arpatiko and consequently killing the leader of the Kinigos. His pent up rage and depression leaked out into each strike in an effort try and end this fight quickly. Each strike was designed to maim and draw blood.
When the Cardinal went back on the attack after getting hopefully whipped into the wall Kurosanai would try to use his speed to evade his attacks. He would assume based on the sword that hung on his hip that this was his primary weapon. He would have to get that out of play in order to end the fight quickly. Frigid would no doubt need help getting Conri back into fighting shape so they could go save the android that was fighting the Kinigo that had killed the idiot William Watson.

Looking over Conri Lane the Cardinal could tell he was finished. Even as he drew closer, floating through the air there was no reaction from the downed Half-Saiyan. The hot headed warrior had handled himself well in combat, but in the end his headstrong attitude had cost him his life. Perhaps if he had never ventured to this planet he might have avoided the Church for the rest of his life, allowed to live it out as unnatural as it was. The choice was beyond Sebastian now, he needed to do his duty to Aon and after the deed was done the God himself would be the judge of Conri Lane. From the very beginning he had been telling his blue haired rival that Aon himself backed the Churches goals and no one had the power to stop them, the fighter had not listened. Now he lay against the wall, slumped in defeat with his executioner yards away. Sebastian always told the truth, if only more people were willing to listen.
With only several yards left between him and the half-saiyan he heard a yell, the voice echoing across the cavern walls, but the Cardinal could still make it out.
“STAY AWAY FROM MY GOD DAMN FRIEND!”
Why was it so many warriors led their charge with a battle cry? Did they not realize that such a scream was only an announcement of your arrival to your target? A sneak attack was pointless if you refused to do the sneaking part. Although injured Sebastian still possessed his impressive 45,000 power level that his senses told him was quite close to the signature now charging him. Not looking just yet the Cardinal sensed the rate at which the signature was approaching. Easily able to judge the short seconds it was before his new foe was going to be on top of him the blonde human waits a moment longer. Making sure to keep his posture as if he was still focused on the half-saiyan before him he does not move until he needs to, wanting to draw the boy in before striking.
As the brash human came charging in, the signature now recognizable as the one that had been so high before the death of Arpatiko, Sebastian launched his attack. Sword still in hand she spins as he brings the blade up in a horizontal slash aimed for the center of the boy’s torso. Even if the speeding human managed to avoid the weapon itself he was going to probably have to abandon his planned charge that was unless he didn’t mind the sharp edge of Justice biting into his side. Remaining stationary beyond the fact he was turning set Sebastian up in a nice defensive position, the Cardinal prepared to attack again regardless of the result of his defensive slash.

The situation was even more grim than Frigid had first thought from across the battle-scarred cavern. Sebastian's fight with Conri was an impressive one, and part of Frigid might have wished he'd seen it, if the circumstances were different. Both warriors had proved themselves in combat, but Sebastian stood victorious in the end. As he pushed himself into the sky, Frigid noted that he was injured, but that didn't mean he was any less fierce.
Kurosanai charged him with a battle cry, the Icejin wincing against it. Sure, it was dramatic, but he'd had the advantage on his side before revealing his position. Sebastian didn't look away from his prey, but it wasn't hard to see the gears turning in his head. He was already anticipating, already planning. He was ready for what Kurosanai had in store for him.
Turning his head from the two, Frigid set his sights on where Conri lay. There was no movement under the pile of rocks, and that made Frigid's head drop. If Conri was alive, he wasn't in good shape. The seconds it took the Icejin to reach his friend felt like hours. And as he hurled rock after rock away from him, time felt like it stood still.
Conri was breathing, and he'd built a make-shift shield before he'd collapsed, that much Frigid was glad to see. Frigid removed the rubble, and carefully cut away the webbing with a blade of ki. Then, leaning down beside him, Frigid gently slapped the blue-haired Saiyan's cheeks, "Conri. Can you hear me?"
If there was no answer or response, Frigid would pick the man up, and sling him over his shoulder to carry him away from the battle that was raging above them. Keeping one eye on Sebastian, he would do his best to distance him from the Saiyan. Kurosanai had told Frigid that he would take care of Sebastian, so he hoped his friend could keep that blond-man's attention. However, Frigid was fully recuperated after devouring his senzu bean, and being at full power, he wanted to stay nearby to rush to his friend's aid if he had to.
There was a large part in him that wanted to be the one to end Sebastian's life. The same part that fueled Frigid to fight Arpatiko, the Brute. Even in his base state, he could feel the power behind it. It scared the Icejin more than anything.

The loud scream from Kurosanai had been heard by Conri causing a slight twitching as he continued to lay unconscious, his mind was still fully awake but it was trying to reboot itself after that overload of pain. The human had helped it along with his shout just now, his fingers twitching as if trying to pull himself up. They did nothing though but pull at the ground, he could feel the fight that was close to him, and it was alerting his mind and body to the danger. Still, there was nothing right now that he could do without his body waking up, but it seemed that would not be too long from now. There was another familiar power close to him now, from what he could tell it was a friendly, but being out of it he couldn't register the power alone.
The slap to his cheek seemed to click things together as his whole body stirred this time, but stopped when it felt his leg. The boulder was no long on top of it, but the bone was likely broken which would make moving a lot more difficult. Then the voice followed and he recognized it as Frigid, the opponent he had become friends with in the Galactic Tournament. Oh, right, he was supposed to be on a mission now wasn't he? The dream had made him forget why he was here for a few moments, and then there was a surge of anger from him as he remembered what else had been happening recently. His fist clenched into a tight fist on sheer instinct, his body was stirring to consciousness much faster now, there was a purpose to his actions and there was something he needed to do. This was all working to stir the Half-Saiyan igniting something in his pride that he had been knocked unconscious, but he wouldn't wake up just yet, his body still needed to make some corrections.
When he felt his body being lifted his hand immediately shot towards his sword to make sure that he kept it in hand, making sure to not let it get separated from him. Though for the time being he would still remain unconscious, even if his he was ready to finish this fight, it would just take a little longer than planned.

Post by Kurosanai Muzai on Jul 27, 2014 23:49:08 GMT -5
The prodigy of the Muzai flew through the air like a lightning bolt towards Sebastian. As he approached though something felt off and then it set in on what he had done. He really should not have yelled at the top of his lungs about stopping the attack on almost killing Conri. He had gotten caught up in the moment and not fully realized what he was doing. He had handed the element of surprise away from himself and essentially announced to the Universal Church of One Cardinal that he was coming, something that he really should not have done.
‘You do realize that by yelling at the top of your lungs you were an idiot right?’ Fujin asked with an edge of disappointment in his voice.
‘Yeah…give me some slack this is only my second ever fight to the death…’ Kurosanai countered back.
‘Doesn’t matter because your opponent doesn’t care how much experience you have. It only takes one slip up in a situation like this.’ Fujin chastised.
‘Don’t remind me.’
Right after he finished the thought sequence with his ancestor Kuro pushed himself as high as his power would allow him to go, 85,826, which caused his aura to burst out from around him. With his weighted jacket back on his body, covering the shameful tattoos that adorned his arms, his power level was closer to 64,370. He probably should have done this when he first took off but due to lack of experience in this sort of situation Kurosanai had been caught off guard. This would cost him dearly as he encountered the cardinal. Due to the need to power up, talking with his spiritual ancestor and the over all criticism of his chosen method of attack Kurosanai was left in a dreadful position, he wasn’t aware of what was going on.
As Kurosanai went to grab at the Cardinal his sword twisted upwards catching the human completely off guard. With all of his might Kuro was just able to avert a fatal wound but instead would have to deal with a long cut that slashed across his stomach. It tore away at the top few layers of bandages before taking off the top few layers of skin. The prodigy of the Muzai landed with a thud as he skidded to a halt. His hand immediately darted to his stomach to find that blood now leaked from a wound that was left clear across his stomach. Pain spider webbed from the spot up his abdomen and Kurosanai grimaced as he put his hand on the wound. While it was not going to kill him fighting this cardinal was going to be much harder than he originally anticipated as the wound would prove to be a movement limiter. He turned to face the cardinal and just as he did he noticed that Frigid was hot on his tail. If he was going to have any chance of making sure that Conri was safe he was going to have to get the cardinal away from him. He only had a couple of seconds to think of something before the opening to save his friend disappeared.
The wound was something that Kurosanai was used to fighting too. Rather up until now the only time he had ever been heavily damaged by any opponent in a fight was when he fought Adrien La’Moore, a fight he still did not fully remember, and the one that he had with Conri Lane in the Omega Slums. During the latter of the two he was forced to compensate for a multitude of injuries that slowed his movement. So he was not completely in the dark when it came to that area of fighting. But what was still getting at him was the fact that he could not see any of the ki pathways that he knew, or at least he thought he knew, were coursing through the Cardinal’s body. While he could sense ki beyond the fact of great power differences Kuro was often times at least able to judge an opponent’s strength based on the ki that coursed through their body. Without that as some kind of marker he could only go off of the results from his fight with Conri thus far and they did not make him feel any better about the situation. He knew he had to save his friend but he was getting a strong suspicion that he had bitten off more than he could chew.
‘What are you going to do now?’ Fujin asked as if he already knew the answer. No doubt the great ancestral leader of the Muzai had already formulated a plan but based on his tone he was not going to share it with Kuro.
“Just watch,” Kuro snorted back in frustration with the dead leader.
Without thinking Kurosanai darted forward at his top speed. His body would zig zag in sharp movements across the open floor in between the two warriors. Once he was close enough the prodigy of the Muzai would snap upwards with a hard uppercut that was designed to send him into the ceiling. If the attack connected Kuro would spring upwards grabbing the Cardinal and tossing him as hard as he could back behind Kurosanai creating the opening that would be needed to get Conri free. If the uppercut missed Kuro would flip over the Universal Church of One’s Cardinal midair before landing straight behind him. From there he would take full advantage of the fact that he was floating in the air at that given second. Kuro would twist hard, causing the dirt to kick up around him, before slamming his shoulder into the Cardinal as hard as he could. The attack was designed to push him before Kurosanai left off of the attack. Hopefully by doing so it would create enough room from Frigid to rescue the de facto leader of their squad and get him to a safe place to check on his wounds. After either sequence Kurosanai would land gracefully on his feet in fighting stance ready to try and counter anything that came back his way.
PL LOCKS kuro: PL: 42,913 / Adrenaline Rush: 85,826 Frigid: PL: 28,155 / Brute: 140,775
(Staff believes that since these fights happen back to be back that it is not realistic to see a drastic jump in power that would accompany the recent grades of No Red Shirts. As such the levels will be locked at what they were at in that thread.)

The Cardinal was sure he had the human, his sword reaching across in front of his own body to cut the foolish warrior in two. With an aura bursting to life though, and his true power revealed, the boy manages to barely evade the disembowling. Lucky to escape with only a gash across his stomach Sebastian frowns some in disappointment. The cut was no minor knick though, but abdominal wounds were often more painful then they were deadly. Turning to face his newest goes the blonde male looks him up and down, sword still slightly heals out to the side as he floats in the air.
Although focused on the boy holding his bleeding stomach before him, Sebastian was aware of the other signature behind him, next to Conri Lanes weak one. The Icejin, a problem he was going to have to deal with after this human problem. A practical man Sebastian knew he was in a bad spot, his injured body not able to sustain his heightened state of power after the explosion Conri and himself had set off. On top of that, when he had left the underground to aide the newcomers he had left his healing items behind, not sensing any threat and with fighting the last thing on his mind. He was going to need to try and play this just right, perhaps talk the boy down. Hearing the boy mutter something to himself the option of discussion seemed to go out the window.
Attempting to swing his sword around in another defensive strike the injured Cardinal simply couldn't match the speed of the other human. A fist connected solidly under his chin, head snapping backwards from the force of the blow as it lifted higher into the air. Before he managed to travel too far a hand clasps around his non-broken ankle to roughly halt his upward momentum. With a quick yank Sebastian was thrown through the air, spiraling before hitting the rock strewn floor with a thud, now a fair distance from Conri Lane.
Groaning in pain the blonde rolls over, still having somehow maintained a grip on his blade. Forcing himself into a pained sitting position he spits to the side, more blood than saliva splattering against the stone. Outmatched he remained on the ground, eyes lifting to regard the boy. "Is your plan to take my life, just like that of Artapiko? It seems that is all your group has come here to do." Sebastian wondered how committed to this they all were, Conri himself had seemed so reluctant to fight. The Cardinal may yet be able to talk his way out of this.

Frigid was glad to see his friend was responsive, however little the response actually was. After setting him down, away from the battle that was starting, the Icejin turned his attention back to it, only to see Sebastian hit the ground. A smile crossed the Icejin's face, but it faded as quick as it appeared when he saw the wound across Kurosanai's stomach.
Even though Sebastian didn't stand back up, Frigid sensed the fight was still far from over. Raising himself into a sitting position, he spoke: "Is your plan to take my life, just like that of Artapiko? It seems that is all your group has come here to do."
Anger flared back into the Icejin as he snarled and spat in Sebastian's direction, "Like you have any room to talk!" Frigid hissed, words leaving his mouth as venom, "You are the one that started all this! Had you not tried to kill our friend, and placed Arpatiko to fight a battle that was not his, he wouldn't be dead!"
Frigid's tail smashed into the hard floor behind him, a crater forming under it's powerful strike. Just who did this man think he was? Did he really think hr could talk his way out of this? The thought made Frigid boil over with anger. If they let Sebastian off the hook, then Conri would still be at risk; not only that, but Arpatiko would have died for nothing.
If Kurosanai wasn't going to finish the job, Frigid would have no problem stepping in to do it himself; however, there was still information the blond-man had that they needed. So Frigid would let Sebastian talk, using nearly all his own willpower to hold himself back.
