The moment the android turned to address his teammates, he found himself at the end of a blade leveled his throat. It was the white, mystical sword that belonged to Sebastian, in the hands of the man he understood to be Kurosanai Muzai. Zero did not know much about the human -or the others for that matter; they had traveled in separate ships, giving him time to somewhat associate with the icejin, but nothing more. His scouter could detect power-levels, but it could not sense them or 'feel' the distinct sensations or vibes that resonate from their auras. For that reason, in his eyes, it was not Fujin that threatened to decapitate the android but Kurosanai himself. Even if Zero could sense what Frigid and Conri felt, there was no logical reason that could possibly lead the android to believe that there was another soul making decisions within Kurosanai’s body. The human was simply showing his true colors. Regardless, the android did not allow this to faze him and continued with his request to cease fire.
Everything went as planned. Mr. Watson stopped Conri from any further attacks, Zero saved Sebastian in the nick of time, scurried towards safety, and now the team had agreed to stop attacking long enough to extract knowledge from the human. Zero did not care for Sebastian’s health, but he understood the value of his life. Kurosanai spoke, his voice overlapped with another; he agreed to Zero’s plea as long as the blond human removed his coat, otherwise he threatened to kill them both. An odd request, the android thought, not to mention drastic consequences. It was not long before the saiyan was back on his feet and walked up next to Kurosanai. A smirk crossed the android’s lips, he didn’t think he would have been able to convince them to hold back so easily. Still, they were so quick to intimidate their own comrades, they were hardly considered a ‘team’. Prometheus gathered the strongest warriors in the galaxy to find his lost crew, however, he seemed to have forgotten that they were also the most ruthless and nonsensical beings one could ever hope to find.
They were nothing but a dysfunctional motley crew assembled by the Lord of Alpha Prime. If Zero and Mr. Watson hadn’t shown up, they would have probably been at their own throats promptly after taking Sebastian’s life. Zero turned to the blond human, waiting for him to comply and turn over his coat. The moment he removed it, the android understood why Kurosanai had asked for it. His scouter beeped, displaying the man’s energy signature. Before, he was unable to read him, but now it was as clear as any other person. Sebastian passed it on to the android. Holding the coat in his hands, the android looked it over, analyzing its delicate fabric. There was an odd vibe about it. He looked at Kurosanai, who was still waiting for the android. Zero looked over it again and finally tossed it at the human as was requested.
“Speak church rat. Where is this missing crew? Make it quick!” Kurosanai snapped as soon as he received the coat.
Zero turned away from the sword leveled at his face, turning to Sebastian as he explained. Mement Mor, he thought. It was the same place Sebastian mentioned when they met on the surface. Conri was quick to bark back with condescending laughter that echoed through the cavern. He had no intention on letting the Cardinal escape with his life; neither did Zero, but he thought the saiyan would have been smart enough to let him on. If Sebastian knew they would kill him regardless of his cooperation, why would he answer to them? The android glanced at the saiyan, his eye’s meeting Conri’s. “He will live,” the android roared abruptly. He hoped the saiyan would read between the lines. Zero’s eyes shifted to Kurosanai and then to the others behind them. Sebastian would die, but to gain his cooperation the cardinal must be made to believe they will spare him. He hoped his eyes would convey the message as he turned back to the blond man.
“Lead us to Mement Mor and you will be spared,” he lied, “ and while you’re at it, tell us everything you know about this Universal Church of One.”
Kurosanai had taken Sebastian’s sword and cloak, the human was now completely defenseless and if he attempted to run away they could track him. Furthermore, Zero’s scouter would be active throughout their entire conversation to monitor their surroundings. If Sebastian planned to lead them into an ambush, Zero would know. If Sebastian planned to attack them, Kurosanai would know. If Sebastian planned anything, the saiyan would have his head. There was no reason for them not to trust the human, and the human had no chance of escaping without buying his way out.

It was needless to say that the duo’s arrival did little to calm the rising tension amongst the assembled individuals. Willie and Man had dove straight into the lion’s den headfirst hoping to make headway in beneficially resolving the situation. They received fierce opposition to their logic and reason. In fact William was straight up ignored by the icejin and half-saiyan, as their own situation devolved further as the warrior with armored skin delivered a blow straight to the Galactic champion’s stomach.
Conri was hurt, from what the boy assumed was his fight with the blonde zealot due to persistence in not only killing him but being the one to kill him. He fell hard, whatever force that was holding him upright shatter by the unexpected gut punch. Pain wracked his body until he began vomiting; a nasty cocktail of last night’s dinner and a heavy splash of blood for flavor. Willie felt ill for a moment though he found he could not look away as it occurred.
But Lane recovered quickly as he popped the universally famed little green bean which returned him his health and energy. His injuries disappeared before their eyes, an amazing sight to William. The boy had never before seen the miracle of the senzu bean in action, though he always carried one in his pocket. “It’s to make sure you come back to me healthy and safe,” his mother had told him the day she gave it to Willie.
Standing and flexing his limbs, the champion tested the effectiveness of the legendary bean. He seemed to find it to his liking just before returning Frigid’s gut punch for one of his own. Willie sighed in disgust. “We’re never going to get anything done, he thought to himself. Frigid was probably just as effected by the blow as Conri had been moments ago, short of vomiting blood, as Lane was much stronger with the icejin in his base form. However he still had the gall to continue speaking despite it; or perhaps in spite of it.
"This Church of One isn't just your enemy, Conri!" Frigid yelled as he continued his glaring contest with the half-saiyan. This got a less than receptive response from Lane who grabbed the horned being and pulled him close enough to whisper something William imagined was just more inflammatory to the situation. It seemed to be the process of things. Releasing Frigid, the revitalized Conri walked away from him as he turned to Man.
"Fine, get whatever information you want from him, after that you better get out of my way," he replied to the android’s plea. William figured Sebastian would not be very keen on talking if he knew death awaited his answer, but it seemed Lane took no care in hiding his intensions. As Lane moved so would Willie, careful to continually keep himself between the trigger happy half-saiyan and the blonde.
“I will only hear him out if he removes the coat. From there I want you to toss it to me you animatronic freak,” Willie turned perpendicular to Conri and Kurosanai so he could look and listen to each man. “Toss me the coat and we can talk. Don’t and I remove both of your heads from both of your shoulders.” It was strange; the human seemed like even more of a prick than usual.
Willie could tell by the awkward double voice that was echoing from Kurosanai’s lips that he was not quite right at the moment. Unbeknownst to the boy, there was an epidemic of identity crisis spreading across the universe. It manifested on many planets, in many people, sometimes for little reason and with little forewarning. Regardless of the reasoning for Muzai’s increased arrogance and aggression, at least he was more helpful to the situation than Conri. Well, Willie thought, “more like less unhelpful I suppose.”
In response the Cardinal rose from the ground, assumingly through the use of the popular bukujutsu technique, something William was wishing he knew more and more each day. Careful not to alarm anyone he moved slowly and cautiously, removing the garment whilst standing behind his savior. Assumedly for what little protection it offered. Handing it to the android, Man then looks at it for a moment, as if to scan its seemingly magical properties, before throwing it to the man also leveling Sebastian’s blade, Justice, at their collective heads.
“Speak church rat. Where is this missing crew? Make it quick!” the possessed Kurosanai spat, harsher than he had when threatened to separate head from body. Sebastian was quick to reply with a crumbling grin as he attempted to prove the worth of his life to the collected individuals surrounding him. William was actually surprised when he suddenly felt the blonde’s presence; not having any form of advanced ki sensing he had not really noticed the distinction before. Even his limited sensing abilities told him now that the jacket had some sort of cloaking effect.
”Zero is right. In terms of your missing crew, I am sure they are on Mement Mor. I know plenty about the Universal Church of One’s home planet, Mement Mor. Spare me and I can lead you there myself.”
A moment of relief washed over William; finally they can continue their mission. He though briefly of his mother’s rejuvenated smiling greeting upon his return. The team’s success would herald her wellbeing, as Zex would cure her of the ailment that threatened to end her. This dream seemed to crumble before him beneath the weight of Conri’s harsh laughter in response to Sebastian’s statement.
"You're not getting any agreement to that from me, you will be dying today," he said with utter assurance. Willie could not believe the amount of discord and arrogance they were able to fit in this massive underground cavern. It was truly daunting. Then Man locks eyes with Conri for a moment before bellowing forth his own declaration.
“He will live,” the android stated loudly, with a tone Watson did not think the machine was capable of; like a warrior’s battle cry. Certainly an attention getter. Perhaps that was his intention, as he looked to Kurosanai and then to the rest of the team briefly. Willie recognized that he was trying to speak with his eyes; he knew an android would never simple do something like look from person to person without a logical reason. The boy hoped that Man too shared the same thought process; that they needed to know what Sebastian knew. That knowledge was a higher priority than enflamed egos.
“Lead us to Mement Mor and you will be spared, and while you’re at it, tell us everything you know about this Universal Church of One.”
Man was trying to salvage the situation, as Conri had shown his four of kind without even anting up. The Cardinal knew his fate, which would no doubt tighten his lips. Sure that he would not speak under the circumstances, Willie moved away from Lane, who was directly behind him, until he was right next to Sebastian. He doubted the weakened zealot would try anything, since everyone seemed to be looking for a reason to kill him. Standing beside him and facing the rest of the group he placed a reassuring hand on the blonde’s shoulder.
“You are all unbelievable! I may be the weakest one here but at least I can understand the priority of information over the apparent dick swinging contest everyone is participating in!” The boy was beside himself, as he could not understand the absolute lack of cohesion of the group. Despite all of Prometheus’s wisdom, he had not foreseen the dissolution of the team that would inevitably occur. Or perhaps he had… Perhaps taking William and Man as employees was his insurance policy.
“Two innocents have fallen today; two slaves of this evil organization. Arpatiko and Tycho were leaders of the Kingo people, forced to do the Church's bidding in order to keep everyone they loved safe. Now they are both dead.” William could not tell if it was Tycho coming through but he once more saw one of his first memories; of the being of light’s arrival to Belegost. Arpatiko saving the young Tycho from its ‘holy’ cleansing. The Great Hunter only bending a knee when the being began to wreak havoc on the villagers when he was unable to stop him. So much unneeded death already. Slaves sent to slaughter by their slaver.
“Do we let their deaths go to waste? We need to know where we can put an end to this. How many more will have to pay for the evil deeds of these zealots? This man knows where we can strike at the heart of the Church.” Hopefully Conri could see through the haze of his fury to see the truth of his words; see the folly of continuing down the path he was intent on blazing.
The only applicable course of action had made itself readily apparent to the boy. His mind was now firing on all cylinders, perhaps coaxed to full speed by the taxing situation. “So close to the next step of the mission; so close to saving mom,” he remarked internally. He could not allow the information the Cardinal knew to die with him. William would stand at his side for the remainder of their time together, guarding the wealth of knowledge within him. Should someone attempt to kill the blonde, he was ready for what had to happen.
“Mement Mor is our only chance at finding the lost team and defeating the galactic threat that is this ‘Church.’ Man is right; Sebastian will live. He must live. Unless you’re going to kill me; will you kill your own teammate out of rage and ego Conri? Will you dismantle Man and murder Frigid as well? You’re not a perfect man, no one is, but I believe you a better man than that, champ.”
Much like against Tycho he would unleash Zasham, allowing the majin to take control so that they could assimilate Sebastian. It was his last option and truly one the boy did not want to exercise. It was already getting quite crowded in there, and one murderous bio-android was enough; he did not need a member of a genocidal covenant rattling around in his mind as well. Not to mention doing so would reveal his most closely guarded secret in the process.
But he would do anything to ensure his mother’s safe recovery.

Sebastian watches them all with no expression on his face, but internally he was smiling. This “team” was obviously not a well oiled machine. At first he had thought them an organized group that had traveled together often considering how concerned the team on the surface had been for their comrades. Now it seemed that concern had only been present because of the uncertainty of their current situation. If the trio had landed in a lush paradise would they have been so anxious to reunite with their companions or might they have sat around and enjoyed themselves for a while? Whatever the reasons for this disconnect between the groups Sebastian knew it played to the Churches advantage. Even if he was to fall before they reached Mor, the group had no chance of surviving against a coordinated attack from the remaining Cardinals. Aon would see them all removed from this plane.
After handing his jacket to the android who in turn adds it to the murderous human, who for the record, had taken more lives than Sebastian had this day, the blonde dusts himself off. If hoped to have any chance of surviving this, as slim as those chances were, he was going to need to withhold information until they were actually on Mement Mor. If he was to offer everything up now there was no reason for them to spare him. Even those that were protecting him at the moment were only doing so because of what he knew, not because they had any love for him. Zero’s words couldn’t have spelled it out more plainly for the Cardinal.
“Lead us to Mement Mor and you will be spared.”
”Of course, I have already made that offer. The question is, do those two have enough control to restrain themselves for that long? I will lead you and tell you what you want, but only if my safety is assured. Otherwise, there is no reason for me to help you. As for telling you everything about the Universal Church of One, that is quite the request and I do not think you realize how much time it would take to satisfy it. Might you be more specific android?”
Looking at the makeup of the group Sebastian’s best hope lay with Zero. As far as he had been able to tell the other blonde was an android or at least something close. Like all the androids that the Universal Church of One often used he had no readable power signature. Beyond that he seemed more level headed in general than the rest, another trait often common in the calculating minds of machines. Perhaps, and it was a stretch, if he could show the machine the logic behind sparing him it might take his side. There was a lot the Church could do with such a powerful android and much the android might reserve in return. The real question was, if Zero was what Sebastian suspected…who had built him?
(I am posting now to address questions. Going forward the posting order will be as follows in order to make it run smoother. Also I will make sure to post with 24 hours when I am up. Starting with this post the order is:

Post by Kurosanai Muzai on Aug 31, 2014 0:39:39 GMT -5
The coppery taste of blood continued to fill the mouth of the young prodigy of the Muzai as his eyes studied the downed Cardinal and that of the android. His muscles screamed in pain and his lungs felt like they were being squeezed by a vice grip making it harder and harder to breathe. Fujin was not sure how much longer the boy was going to be able to maintain his presence. Hosting another’s soul was not a light undertaking to begin with when someone is normally healthy but it only becomes ten times harder when the host is already pretty tired from fighting another battle. One thing was rather clear though. What many may have perceived as to what was happening to Kurosanai as schizophrenia it was far from the truth. The boys mind was fully intact and never once had he ever expressed multiple personalities that plagued countless individuals in the universe. Rather what was happening was like being possessed by a ghost. Fujin simply was granted access to use Kurosanai’s body to help him win the fight since killing was something the boy was not used to and almost lost his mind over. Fujin was no simple delusion, he was a spirit of the ancestor that helped found the modern day Muzai. To think otherwise was an insult to Fujin and those that suffered from multiple personality disorder.
Timing was going to be very key for Fujin. He knew all too well that things could end very badly for the young prodigy of the Muzai. It was already becoming apparent that Fujin would not be able to hold his grip on the young man for much longer without risk of serious injury that would cripple Kuro for the rest of his life and there by dooming the Muzai clan. The founder of the modern day Muzai kept the blade of the sword level out in front of him as the Cardinal slowly did as he asked. He removed the coat and instantly Fujin was able to see the ki pathways jetting through his body. If the man had any plans of a sneak attack now Fujin and Kurosanai would at least know about it a few moments ahead of time to try and prevent anything from happening. The android began to scan over the coat with his eyes no doubt trying to figure out why the coat was the way it was. No doubt the android would have a hard time trying to comprehend what was going on. Androids were never very creative and always too cold and calculating to be of much use. This impression was that of Fujin who had a deep seated loathing of the mechanical devices and partially regretted the fact that the metal lunch box did as he was told. He would have loved taking the ‘man’ apart. The android once done running whatever tests he needed to do tossed the coat over to Fujin who snatched it out of the air with his free hand while keeping the blade pointed in the direction of the two of them. The Cardinal was not going to get this back from him anytime soon.
The next few moments seemed to blur together as pain continued to ratchet up inside of the body of the young prodigy. First he would hear the Cardinal agree that he would help them get to Mement Mor where the crew was presumably located. This was followed by the sound of several solid thuds that were exact matches to the sounds of fists against bodies. If they were then the proud saiyan that had caused the damage to be inflicted to Kuro’s body was fighting with the icejin on the other side of the room. Suddenly Fujin felt a brief gust of air pass by him which he knew could only be caused by someone with power. He would not turn however to try and find the source. The group would have alerting him to what was going on if he needed to be. He would have to worry however as it turned out to be the proud arrogant saiyan, as confirmed by the presence that appeared beside him. No longer was he hobbled by a bum leg that he had received in his loss to the Cardinal. Such a quick recovery meant that the saiyan a senzu bean and had used it. Frankly that was a stupid idea, instead of accepting his loss and allowing others to handle this he chose to waste a valuable resource just to play to his ego. The words that flowed from his mouth following his dramatic healing did little to help the situation. He spoke of murdering the man where he stood while denying the group any possible information that he might have had. Fujin did not know the entire situation but it was at least worth hearing the man out and not killing him where he stood. In all likelihood he would have to be disposed of anyway in order to make sure that no one alerted Mement Mor to their arrival. This was further reinforced by the android’s attempt at a blatant lie about how this man was going to live. It was rather pathetic to watch a machine to perform the intricacies of conversing with others. This was all muted to Fujin and Kuro as the pain continued to climb. By now it felt like his toes were slowly being crushed by a hammer one knuckle at a time while drills were sent spinning through his knee caps. It would be another young man’s rant that pulled the human from the daze that he was in.
“You are all unbelievable! I may be the weakest one here but at least I can understand the priority of information over the apparent dick swinging contest everyone is participating in! Two innocents have fallen today; two slaves of this evil organization. Arpatiko and Tycho were leaders of the Kingo people, forced to do the Church's bidding in order to keep everyone they loved safe. Now they are both dead. Do we let their deaths go to waste? We need to know where we can put an end to this. How many more will have to pay for the evil deeds of these zealots? This man knows where we can strike at the heart of the Church. Mement Mor is our only chance at finding the lost team and defeating the galactic threat that is this ‘Church.’ Man is right; Sebastian will live. He must live. Unless you’re going to kill me; will you kill your own teammate out of rage and ego Conri? Will you dismantle Man and murder Frigid as well? You’re not a perfect man, no one is, but I believe you a better man than that, champ.” The boy spat in disgust as he marched over to stand beside the Cardinal. Fujin could not help but smile a little bit at the brashness. This saiyan, this Conri, would have to murder one of his own teammates in order to get what he wanted. Fujin would not doubt if he had not already contemplated it due to the fact that saiyan were rash, and violent. If there was something they wanted and someone refused to give it to them often times they resorted to force. They were no better than barbarians.
The Cardinal though was quick to move on as he attempted to play helpless victim. No doubt he was biding his time to figure out a plan of attack. Nothing would work at least not here. He would need to drastically change the status quo in order to do so.
Fujin knew little of the Univesal Church of One but it matter not what he knew so long as Kurosanai knew more. So all he had to do was get as many pertinent details from him as quickly as possible. It was in that moment that Fujin began to feel blood to start to run down his nose and to build up by his lips. In a motion with his free hand he brought his free hand up to his face and covered his mouth and nose. While the movement was meant to wipe away the blood it would come across more as him thinking of what to do next. When he felt the blood had been adequately wiped away he lowered his free hand once again.
“We do not need a history lesson on this church. What we need to know is this. How many leaders of this church on Mement Mor currently? How long is it going to take for you to get us to this planet? And why are you not already on your feet walking towards a ship large enough to transport all of us there?” Fujin barked through the double voice. He need answers quickly as he felt that he had only a few more moments before he lost the grasp on Kuro’s body.

Post by Frigid on Sept 1, 2014 18:50:56 GMT -5
Frigid's hit connected, and the Icejin stepped away in time to avoid the half-saiyan's vomit. There was no pity in the Icejin's eyes as he watched his friend get sick. The punch had dissipated some of his rage, but not even close to all of it. He was sick of Conri's attitude. Sick of this stupid planet. Sick of everything. The Frigid that had been just before leaving the Collective was no longer. No more was he a care-free, friendly, push over. Now he was a man, christened by bloodshed; brought into the horrors of the world. And perhaps some of his rage stemmed from the part of him that hated that.
"I thought the same thing, and then Kurosanai ignored what I told him after our first spar. Now you're trying to get in my way as well,” Conri said with a chuckle, only after consuming his Senzu Bean to fully recover from his wounds. With his strength returned, he turned back to Frigid, only to return the well earned punch to the gut.
Connecting hard with his stomach, Frigid keeled over. Even with his strong Icejin plating, Conri's punch hurt. His eyes widened, a painful, loud couch escaping him. But somehow, Frigid willed himself to stay standing, and push the vomit back into his throat.
"I think I'm the one he tried to kill, and I have every right to kill him in return. So I don't give a damn what anyone else has to say on the matter," his words carrying just as much venom as Frigid's had.
Straightening his back, Frigid's anger still burned strong inside him. He wanted to fight Conri now, even if he was his team mate. His Icejin blood boiled as the Saiyan spoke, even if there was truth in his words. Arpatiko had tried to kill Frigid; but he hadn't been able to end that fight. And when they arrived, Frigid was tossed aside to the aid of Conri, who now seemed more ungrateful than anything else. There was a part of Frigid that no longer cared what side he was on; he simply wanted to vent until he couldn't any more.
Then Conri grabbed him, and whispered something in his ear. Frigid's expression stayed cold, even when Conri released him and turned away. His words made things make more since; but nonetheless, the Icejin couldn't calm himself. As the blue-haired Saiyan returned to the group gathering near Sebastian, Frigid turned away; taking a few strides before bursting forward.
He needed some space; there was enough sense in him to know that he shouldn't be around the others. He would rejoin them once he and Conri had cooled down, but for now, he would keep his distance. Nearing where he and Kurosanai had killed Arpatiko, Frigid took a seat on a rock, and crossed his hands in his lap. Taking a few deep breaths, the Icejin closed his eyes and tried to calm himself.
He could feel the dark part inside him growing; the brute, as he called it, that was brought forth when he transformed. Had he been in his Brute form, that punch might have done more damage to Conri than make him vomit. Perhaps it was best that Frigid leave now, before doing anymore harm. But he knew there was no way he could do that. Here, he was promised a way to vent his rage: The Universal Church of One. And vent, he would... With time...
(Sorry it took so long. And pardon my filler-post.)

Too easy. That was all that went through his mind as the situation continued to unfold, even listening as William tried to take a jab at his pride with the champion comment. He could only laugh mentally as both Zero and William seemed to be trying to protect Sebastian from Conri's wrath, how little good it would do. It was all too adorable really, and even funnier was that he was pretty sure each one of them was trying to assume his actions based on the fact that he was Half-Saiyan. It was predictably amusing, and also a little bit sad, really. Well, except for Frigid, he seemed to be trying to keep his distance with his own anger flared up to such an extreme and Conri could understand that as well. Now to keep this going while biding his time.
"Fine, but if he leads us into a trap then it's on your guys heads," he spoke, he still did not trust the Cardinal at all. So, he would make sure that those letting him live and guide them to Mement Mor would be the ones responsible for anything they encountered. Of course, the whole situation resulted from a different cascade of events as well, but that was for another time. Since the Cardinal would be so forthcoming with information now that his life was being spared, there were plenty of things that could be asked now. Though, none of them would be able to tell if the man was lying either, so they were taking a chance either way with or without asking questions.
"To follow up on that, what of power do the other cardinals possess? I'm also assuming you can get us past the planet defenses as well, yes?" he figured he would ask about those right away, given that Arpatiko had mentioned the defenses when they were talking about the other group that had supposedly been sent here. He was starting to wonder how much of that story was true now, given what they found out this way. Still, that wouldn't get answered until they were actually on Mement Mor as well. There were also going to need to be a couple of things he picked up from his ship before they actually headed to the planet of the Universal Church of One. Not that it would be too hard as he was pretty sure there was only one space port for them to get to a ship.
He would wait while the questions got answered by the Cardinal, wanting to hear his answers before they finally got on their way to deal with the rest of the Church.

His chances of survival grew by the second, tensions all around him seeming to dissipate as the realization that they still needed him began to set in. Even the murderous human and the healed Conri Lane were no longer on the offensive. Neither of them probably liked it, but they needed the Cardinal if they were to progress further with ease. Should they kill him the entire group might be stranded on Belegost and soon lost within the vast underground tunnel system. Taking a moment to gather his breath fully, his twisted ankle still bothering him the blonde hovers just off the ground, Sebastian examines the signatures of those around him once more. If only Conri Lane had not taken so much out of him or if he had the foresight to bring a healing item with him, then he could obliterate them all. While he had not strove for any violence beyond what he directed at the half-saiyan, he knew now that had been his mistake. Ultimately it did not matter; when the group arrived on Mement Mor they would meet their doom.
The one that now possessed his sword and jacket was a blunt as ever, negating his own teammates request for information with much more direct questions. To the point this one was, in terms of information gathering and combat. Foolish is what it was, the boy may have some strength, but he only drew breath now because of what Conri had done. Funny how he had tried to finish off Sebastian himself and deny his companion the full victory, selfishness was often a strong trait in humans from Earth. An assumption the Cardinal had made. More than prepared to answer any questions they directed at him and with full disclosure the blonde pauses for a moment as if thinking. He knew the answer, but there was no reason to rush handing them out. Let them wait a few moments and calm down further, the more he diffused the situation the safer he was. After a minute or so of “thinking” Sebastian answers.
”At the moment there are two Cardinals on Mement Mor, the rest are out on missions of their own. In terms of power I can assure you they all outclass me with ease, I am on the lower end of the spectrum in terms of power. As for travel time, it will take a little less than a day to travel by ship…there is one large enough for us all back on the surface.” Sebastian pauses a moment as he looks between Kurosanai and Conri. ”The reason I have not begun leading you towards this ship is because until a moment ago you were planning to kill me. The delay in your departure is your own fault. Now, before you decide to kill me I will mention this. There are of course defenses set up on Mement Mor and my presence in the approaching ship will prevent them from blasting you from the sky. Kill me now and you will never even make it close.” A small smiling forming on his lips as he finishes informing them. Regardless of what they did the Church was not going to be caught off guard. If they slew him here their best chance of getting to Mement Mor safely would die with Sebastian.

William Watson stood up to the plate and addressed the group wholeheartedly. The android smirked as the man exercised the influence he knew Mr. Watson provided. Zero could throw as much logic at them as he wished, but nothing worked best than someone with spirit and whom they could relate to, even an android could understand that. Whether Lord Zex had predicted this or not was a mystery to the android. Assigning Model Zero and Mr. Watson to the team, although they were probably the weakest among the group, it was his best decision. The analytical android would reason with the group and give his best and honest opinion. On the other hand, Mr. Watson was a relatable person and weak enough to not threaten the other members of the team. With his influence, he could get the group to do anything they wanted, but if they pushed too much it would be the end for them.
The android's gaze turned to the floating human as he denied Zero's request. Reconsidering, he recognized that perhaps his question was too broad and probably not all that important in the current moment. They didn't need to know how the Universal Church of One was formed or why they were formed, although it would be preferred, it wasn't crucial information. So far, Zero knew this Universal Church of One is a group of people who follow a deity named "Aon". Zero would have loved to hear all about this god and how he came to be, but that was for another time. For some unknown reason, as Zero understands it, the laws of Aon conflict with the existence of saiyans; therefore, the Universal Church of One seeks out to destroy and annihilate the entire saiyan race. Belegost is one of the planets the organization uses for their exploits, but apparently their main location lies with Mement Mor. Evidently, Sebastian knows nothing about the lost crew they were sent to retrieve, Mement Mor was nothing but an educated guess.
Instantly, Kurosanai barked at the blond human. His questions were fairly good. Who are we facing when they reach Mement Mor? How long will it take to arrive to this planet and how are they going to get there? Conri jumped in with his own set of questions, also good questions. How powerful are the cardinals that they will face and how to get past the planet's defenses? The blond human took a moment of silence as he began to think over the questions and make sense of them. Promptly after, he responded in a cohesive order. His answer made perfect sense to the android. This was the organization's main base of operations they were talking about. Who knows how many enemies the Universal Church of One has created through their actions, how many people are after blood. What's more, Sebastian had told them earlier that nobody knows of this place so they receive very few visits. Zero now understands. The reason they don't receive visitors is because they didn't want visitors. Belegost and Mement Mor were meant to be unknown and out of the radar. Perhaps they were lucky to crash land on Belegost, Mement Mor wouldn't be so peaceful and welcoming as its sibling. Keeping Sebastian with them on the ride would ensure they pass unharmed.
"Alright then, I think we should start heading towards the surface," the android motioned. The others were growing impatient, so it be best to save time and head towards the forementioned space ship that would take them to this remote planet and continue asking questions along the way. If the group seemed to approve, the android would turn to Sebastian, waiting for him to start walking and leading them back to the surface where the space ship was docked. Zero thought over what Sebastian had revealed. He hadn't said it, but the idea of stronger beings was troubling him. 'I am on the lower end of the spectrum in terms of power,' the man said. The group barely survived their encounter with Sebastian alone. If what the blond man said was true, what were their chances at fighting two similar cardinals with greater strength? It almost justified Sebastian's eagerness to answer their questions and help the group arrive to their destination. He wanted to take them because he knew they were walking straight into death.
"How many Cardinals are there in total? We want names," the android asked. They were going against an entire organization. Even if they were successful in Mement Mor and defeat the two cardinals waiting for them in there, the others would just seek them out for revenge. They needed an idea of just how big the group was.

”Of course, I have already made that offer. The question is, do those two have enough control to restrain themselves for that long? I will lead you and tell you what you want, but only if my safety is assured. Otherwise, there is no reason for me to help you.” William knew the blonde would be too smart to give away the planet’s location. One does not simply hand over the only thing keeping them from the guillotine. In case of backlash, Watson remained within arm’s reach of the human. So that, if the need arise, he may do what needed to be done.
“As for telling you everything about the Universal Church of One, that is quite the request and I do not think you realize how much time it would take to satisfy it. Might you be more specific android?” Sebastian had chosen Zero to be his “ambassador” to the group, obviously believing him to be his best chance for survival. He was right. The rest of the team was either hot headed, egotistical, and/or chemically imbalanced. William even more so than the rest, the being he played host to at the moment was the embodiment of madness.
Man was pure logic, incapable of irrational thought or action. Often it caused misunderstandings between androids and organics, explaining their ostracism by the general populace. They did not want to something to tell them the blatant truth from which they hid. Sebastian’s situation called for a different mindset however; the Cardinal knew the one truth. They needed the location of Mement Mor. He knew where it was. Thus he knew an android would let no harm befall him. Allowing anything else to happen would be illogical.
"Fine, but if he leads us into a trap then it's on your guys heads," Conri Lane declared, begrudgingly agreeing not to kill Sebastian; yet. As for the statement itself, Willie made no comment. He knew it would be a trap. The blonde would not so freely give the location to Mor if he did not think it would end in their demise. Indeed some would probably die on the Church’s home world. William did not care; he did not know how much time his mother had left.
“We do not need a history lesson on this church.” At the reappearance of the double voice, Willie turned his attention to Kurosanai. It was needless to say that the troubled human was not doing well. He tried to conceal it but it was difficult not to say that just speaking caused him pain. Watson still had no concept of what was happening and did not care. He only hoped that he too would be logical. Also, despite his rather down sided opinion of the self-proclaimed prodigy, the boy hoped he would be alright.
“What we need to know is this. How many leaders of this church on Mement Mor currently? How long is it going to take for you to get us to this planet? And why are you not already on your feet walking towards a ship large enough to transport all of us there?” No more than a few seconds ticked by before Conri interjected once more, adding to the line of question, "To follow up on that, what of power do the other cardinals possess? I'm also assuming you can get us past the planet defenses as well, yes?"
Then came the excruciating long pause as the Cardinal milked the amount of thought he was putting into the answer. While he seemed to be playing up the role of prisoner, Willie knew that everything was not safe. Not yet. A feeling which would not leave him until he saw Mor from the ship with his own eyes, though by then safety will be a relative term.
"At the moment there are two Cardinals on Mement Mor, the rest are out on missions of their own. In terms of power I can assure you they all outclass me with ease, I am on the lower end of the spectrum in terms of power. As for travel time, it will take a little less than a day to travel by ship…there is one large enough for us all back on the surface.” Finally he broke his own silence, causing William to realize he had been subconsciously holding his breath. “… Do I even need to breathe?” It was a troubling thought, but one he pushed down deep as he focused on the situation at hand. A far greater dilemma stood before them; their existed far stronger Cardinals than he. A harrowing truth indeed.
"The reason I have not begun leading you towards this ship is because until a moment ago you were planning to kill me. The delay in your departure is your own fault. Now, before you decide to kill me I will mention this. There are of course defenses set up on Mement Mor and my presence in the approaching ship will prevent them from blasting you from the sky. Kill me now and you will never even make it close.” The human’s aggravating smile would not help their predicament any. Nor would Frigid’s sudden departure moments ago; he was one of the strongest present while in his Brute form and perhaps the only capable of keeping the order should hell break loose. William could only hope such a thing did not happen, as he believed the Cardinal to speak the truth. They would be dead, floating through the void amongst spaceship debris, should they approach without a bargaining chip; that being Sebastian himself.
"Alright then, I think we should start heading towards the surface," the android stated before looking to the group. Should the team approve to this move, Man and Willie would wait on either side of Sebastian as they waited for the injured fighter to hover down the tunnel towards this ship he spoke of. As they made their ascent to the surface William would stay close to the human with each step. He was weary of the others given their overall dysfunction as a group.
"How many Cardinals are there in total? We want names," Man questioned further. They were all good questions, from Conri, Kurosanai and Man. Knowledge was the greatest weapon any warrior could wield. Information about your opposition was priceless. Watson, however, was interested in a narrow subject matter, as opposed to the full scale war the others seemed to be concocting. Shooting a glance at the icejin, Watson hoped he would come as well; they would obviously need all the backup they could get.
William would allow Sebastian to answer the android before speaking, though he did not look directly at the human. It was a question he must have heard by now, and it was one that Watson needed an answer to if he their mission was to be a success. “The ship we are searching for disappeared near here. From context I gather your Church controls this sector of space and furthermore that they know everything that happens in said sector. They are obviously not on Belegost which means they must be on Mor. Which of these ‘Cardinals’ would have information on the whereabouts of the missing team?”
He had known nothing about the organization before touching down on the mine planet’s scorched surface but the boy had gleaned much from Conri, Arpatiko and now Sebastian. At least enough to know that someone would know about ‘heretics’ intruding upon their holy section of the galaxy. From what he learned of religion over the course of his lifetime, Willie knew there was always someone high up that held all the secrets; and divvied up what information deemed ‘worthy’ amongst their underlings.
William would speak with this entity and complete his mission if it killed him.

Given permission to lead them to the surface, Sebastian turns as and starts to float away. Although he could not sense the androids signature, he was able to physically sense him as he followed. The machine above all else seemed to care about preserving the Cardinal’s life. Whether it was simply for the information he contained or to save his life Sebastian was not completely sure. The former made more sense in his mind for why would an android care if the Cardinal lived or died beyond his usefulness? The two that concerned him the most were of course the two that had openly wished to kill him, although even they had seen it was worth it to keep him alive…for now. Floating just off the ground the blonde leads them towards the very elevator that Arpatiko had taken half of them down before. There was a ship on the surface that could carry them all to Mement Mor.
Leading them all in silence Sebastian offers no more information until Zero speaks up again. Although a machine he was the most curious of them all, looking to learn more about what he might soon be up against.
”There are nine of us in total, each given a different part of the organization to manage. My charge, as you may have guessed, is to defend and oversee Belegost and our mining operations here. Now if you want names for all of us I can provide that. I am Sebastian De’Vont as you already know and the rest of the Cardinals, in no particular order are; Aer Nin, Ona, Invictus Maneo, Malum, Ungoliant, Greth, Iun Harime, and Erlik Lamia. Now, before you ask Invictus and Iun are the two you will no doubt end up running into on Mement Mor.” Sebastian glances back at the group as he reveals the two they will meet in little more than a day, curious as to their reactions with how straight forward he was being. They may not trust him, but the truth was he was being completely honest with them.
”As for your missing ship and crew, Invictus is most likely to know about it as Iun is…less than reliable to say the least.” The blonde states with a small chuckle, an inside joke it seemed. Leading them onward Sebastian continues towards the elevator and up once they arrive. In the space port above a large ship sat in wait, enough to carry them all should they choose to accompany them. Conri most likely, and perhaps another or two would most likely take his own ship, but that was up to them. While they received more than a few glances none dared to approach the powerful group, all of them soon blasting off towards Mement Mor.
(OOC:To move this saga along we will end the thread here. Everyone may post once more to wrap up their respective part of the thread, but this thread will be graded Friday. Saturday the next thread will be posted for your arrival to Mement Mor.)

Post by Kurosanai Muzai on Sept 9, 2014 20:28:26 GMT -5
Finally the time for fighting seemed to drift away for the time being. Conri had decided that he was going to stand down, Frigid had drifted away from the group to blow off some steam due no doubt to being left out of the fight and then getting into a fight with Conri. The human boy whom Kurosanai regarded as an idiot had appeared out of nowhere and now stood by Sebastian De’Vont ready to give his life in a futile effort to stop the half saiyan. As Conri Lane stood down from his attacking stance there was a very slight exhale of relaxation. Finally the mechanized young man began to escort the Cardinal towards the elevator area that the group had used to descend into the dark abyss below the surface of Belegost. Everything was finally wrapping up.
Fujin let out a sigh as Kurosanai’s body burned hotter and hotter in pain. It was frustrating that the founder of the modern day Muzai clan was forced to put such stress on Kurosanai for no reason. Kuro had given over control so that Fujin could finish this fight quickly. He had given control so that Fujin could do that Kuro did not have the resolve for. Fujin had to kill someone for the young prodigy. The price for choosing to let Fujin take control though was a heavy one on the body. On top of any physical damage that he had taken during the battle, in due large part to Conri refusing to stay out of the fight, Kurosanai’s body had been taken damage the entire time from the inside out. None of the damage was permanent, yet. The damage was best described as severe strain on his internal organs. All Kurosanai would have to do in order to recover would be to take control back and sleep it off, a healing chamber would due the young man even better.
“All of this was for nothing,” Fujin sighed through his double voice as he closed his eyes. His Aoiro were silenced as he reopened his eyes. Restored to their once brown sheen Fujin looked to Conri Lane before tossing him Sebastian’s sword. “Victory is ours despite both of our intentions being thwarted. Perhaps next time we fight side by side we may want to try and get out of each other’s way. Until then it appears that we are going to go to war.” Fujin spoke with an edge to his double voice. He would turn and begin to walk away. “You get that while I keep this.” Fujin stated as he motioned to the jacket that was still in his hands.
‘Boy. It is your time now. Deal with what you must. But know this I will not be available to do this again for a time.’ Fujin’s voice echoed inside of Kurosanai’s head. With that simple comment Fujin retreated from the body of Kurosanai leaving him in charge once again. His power signature would shift once again but this time it would shift back to what it was normally. Anyone paying attention might notice the shift but what was more pronounced was the sudden stumble. As Kuro’s mind took control of his body once again the pain racked his body but the difference was that now that Fujin had left it was like the flood gates had opened. It was actually to the degree that he almost started screaming bloody murder. He was fortunate enough to suppress the urge and instead only stumbled on his feet.
Kurosanai would be left hobbled for the remainder of the journey to the surface as well as silent. His face would grow pale as blood ran down from his sides. The smell of burnt bandages hung around his body as the group rode in the small elevator. Kurosanai did not know what to expect in the near future. Arpatiko was the first experience he ever had with death on the battlefield and he could barely get the screaming vision of his burning body from his mind. The prodigy was not entirely sure what was going to be happening when the group made it to this Mement Mor or what this Invictus Maneo and Iun Harime would do when the group arrived. Though one thing was almost definite, there was going to be fighting and there was going to be death.
The boy was going to be going to war for the first time in his life and he was scared stiff. When the elevator finally crested the surface and light shone through the open doors. The Cardinal led them to a ship that was in fact large enough to transport the group to wherever Mement Mor was. Whether or not Conri would actually take the ship or if he would take his own Kurosanai would not know. For once Sebastian showed them inside of the ship Kurosanai would make a straight line for the bathroom. Once in it he immediately shut the door, bent in half and immediately began to throw up blood into the toilet. His stomach wretched twice before finally the blood stopped flowing from his mouth.
He was left bent over the toilet breathing heavily as his hands shook. His body had been pushed to the point of exhaustion and all of his organs felt like they had been struck repeatedly. As Kuro hit the button for the toilet the blood disappeared into the belly of the ship. The prodigy of the Muzai stood there for a few moments as the events of the day were beginning to catch up with him. The death of Arpatiko, the apparent death of his lieutenant and the battle with Sebastian had left his drawn. If this was what war was going to be like he wanted no part of it.
But war was on the horizon and there was no avoiding it.

With Sebastian talking about the other cardinals he now had names that he would look for when they were done with Mement Mor, and everyone seemed to look at things far differently. There was a common way they all viewed it, however, and that was just taking things at face value. Even the Cardinal was taking the situation at face value, but that was fine, let them see things that way and he would look at things through his own view. When everything sparked on Mement Mor, he would be prepared with everything that was hidden up his sleeves, which was quite a bit really. The issue was that he would need to come up with a plan for dealing with the two on Mement Mor and without knowing anything about them, it wouldn't work in his favor. He knew what he could do, but without the information about his enemies there was so much that he could actually plan for, but since it would likely be a decent trip they could get more information from Sebastian. Walking over to a large pile of rubble he took his heavily weighted jacket from the debris and tossed it over his shoulder, he didn't want to leave this behind when they would be leaving.
His eyes shifted towards the double voice as it spoke to him and caught Sebastian's sword as it was tossed to him. The sword was nice, but with Fragarach and Brynhildr which he received from Masamune there was an extra sword. He supposed that he could always sell it or keep it for himself as something like a trophy. "Maybe, but the next time, I would rather fight next to my friend. I can't have him going against his own words if he's gonna be stubborn about keeping me on the proper path," a slight smirk. While it might not have been obvious to the others, Conri had spent time with Kurosanai and gotten to know him to an extent. The most important thing that he had learned was the decision Kurosanai made when he said his choice for deciding what to do with someone that was left on the ground helpless before him. "As for war, quite possibly, but it will be interesting to see where our path leads us," he nodded in agreement with the one he was speaking with.
With that, he followed the group up until they reached the dock where he diverted towards his own ship to pick up a few things, mainly Brynhildr and the extra sensu bean that he had stored, while also putting the Cardinal's sword someplace safe. Once that was done he rejoined them on the ship that Sebastian had led them to and took a seat waiting for the ship to start its trek towards the planet of the Universal Church of One. "So, Sebastian. Why don't you start telling us about the ones waiting for us on Mement Mor, like their fighting styles and similar things. That would be ever so helpful," he smiled sweetly towards the Cardinal. It was time to get planning on how to bring them all down, and he needed information for that, so there was only one person that he could ask regarding all that information.
His eyes stayed focused on his own weapons and things, making sure that each one was ready for the battle that was most likely coming once they reached the surface. With his jacket on now, it was more likely that he could hide his power, but he wasn't sure if they could truly tell he was a Saiyan or not just by looking at him. Of course, he had to prepare for the event that Sebastian told them regardless, but those events he could at least take into consideration and plan them out. There was a swirl of emotions through his head as he was finally headed towards a planet that was run by the UCOO and with that, he would finally be able to get some closure on things. Even if it was a false one, or one that didn't really do much, he needed to do something so that he could feel like all this time wasn't wasted in vain.
War. That was probably the best way to describe it now that he thought about things, there was no way that it would end peacefully it was a fight for their very lives. Whether they could even get any information or not was something else as well, considering he was sure that they might attack him on sight. Folding his arms across his chest, he waited for the information while closing his eyes, going over as many possibilities as he could in his mind. Whatever happened on Mement Mor, it was going to be big and it was going to change things drastically, he had that feeling. (PL please~! Also requesting Sebastian's sword! =p)

Now, before you ask Invictus and Iun are the two you will no doubt end up running into on Mement Mor.”
William gulped at hearing the names. Sebastian had already admitted he was one of the weakest, forcing the boy to wonder about the might of the others. Conri was strong but he almost died just fighting Sebastian. Unless there was an untapped well of power within him they may already be doomed. Which would probably explain the present Cardinal’s eagerness to get the team to Mement Mor as he looked to each member of the group, apparently gauging their reaction to his response.
”As for your missing ship and crew, Invictus is most likely to know about it as Iun is… Less than reliable to say the least,” the coatless man replied as he turned back to Willie. ”Invictus Maneo… Well, he sounds terrifying.” the boy reflected internally. Given the fact that this Iun was unreliable, he supposed that Maneo was also the leader of the planet. The Church would not leave someone they couldn’t trust to look over their home world after all.
“Invictus… I must speak to him upon our arrival… Before shit hits the fan,” William knew the same thing everyone else knew; this would be a war. There was no avoiding it. Conri wanted nothing less than the complete destruction of the Universal Church of One. The others seemed to be suckered into the conflict whether out of curiosity or because their recognized the evil this organization represented; or in the case of William and Man, because they had a mission to complete. Watson only hoped that one of them survived to tell Prometheus; and that he would keep his word about healing his mother and protecting his family should he die whilst in his service.
“All of this was for nothing,” the double voiced Kurosanai muttered through a haggard breath. Looking back to him as he closed his eyes, the boy noticed their eerie glow fade back to their usual brown upon reopening. The human then threw the sword he had taken from the Cardinal to Lane.
“Victory is ours despite both of our intentions being thwarted. Perhaps next time we fight side by side we may want to try and get out of each other’s way. Until then it appears that we are going to go to war,” he said with a snarky tone as be began to turn and walk with the others. “You get that while I keep this,” he said referring to Sebastian’s sword, which the half-saiyan was inspecting, and his magical jacket, which rested in the Kurosanai’s tight grip. Then he briefly stumbled for some unknown reason.
"Maybe, but the next time, I would rather fight next to my friend. I can't have him going against his own words if he's gonna be stubborn about keeping me on the proper path," Conri spoke with a grin. It was an inside joke that William did not understand, though it was now apparent to him that the two shared some kind of history. Given how palpablethe friction was between one another moments ago the boy would have never guessed as much. "As for war, quite possibly, but it will be interesting to see where our path leads us.”
William listened and watched everyone as them made their ascent to the arid surface once more. His mind was racing, analyzing the situation, everyone’s conditions, and their probability of survival. It did not look good, but Willie was somehow not panicked by that. Perhaps it was the fact that he had already died once, when the majin technarcana had assimilated him some time ago, but it did not bother him as much as it should given his rather meek personality. Indeed, somewhere deep down Watson knew that dying may be the best thing for the universe, as Zasham would be gone and his family safe.
Upon reaching the surface the half-saiyan would go back to his own ship as the others boarded Sebastian’s roomy vessel. All the amenities of being a Cardinal of the Universal Church of One William figured. Immediately, Kurosanai hobbled his way to the bathroom, in a similar manner as he had been moving since inexplicably stumbling in the tunnels below. The boy merely though that the human had to “exercise his demons” so to speak but passing by the door Willie heard the atrocious sounds of vomiting. Lifting his hand Willie briefly thought of knocking on the sealed door to check on him, but ultimately did not. He knew Kurosanai would find no comfort from him, as the two were less than friendly.
Then Conri reappeared, an entirely different sword than Sebastian’s in tow. It was one of master craftsmanship; William was positive he had never, nor would ever again, seen such a magnificent blade. Taking a seat the half-saiyan would begin looking over his equipment, getting everything prepared for the taxing battle to come. "So, Sebastian. Why don't you start telling us about the ones waiting for us on Mement Mor, like their fighting styles and similar things. That would be ever so helpful," he said with a grin to the blonde as he crossed his arms, awaiting a reply.
As it was his ship, Sebastian would undoubtedly take the pilot’s chair, so William took the co-pilot’s seat, beside the radar screen. While not familiar with ships or flying them, he had nonetheless taken the position to keep an eye on the Cardinal. Both to make sure he was not trying anything funny as well as to make sure that no one who wanted to kill him minutes ago could attempt to finish the job. He did not think it would happen but being so close to finding Zex’s missing team, and thus curing his mother, made him overly cautious.
“Also, could you give me a brief description of this Invictus Maneo?” Watson would ask of the Sebastian, who had become their guide to the Universal Church of One. He knew things would escalate quickly so if he was going to get the answer he needed he would have to ask as soon as he spotted the man. The boy could only pray that he would get an answer.

As requested, the cardinal began leading the group towards the ship that would carry them to Mement Mor. Zero was relieved to find that his teammates were being cooperative for once. William and him flanked Sebastian as they walked, ensuring both their safety and his. Zero has learned how unpredictable mortals tended to be -especially saiyans, so he was careful to keep an eye on Conri. It was the reason why Ivan created him and it was usually the reason why Lord Zex recruited him despite being weak. Although the group was fairly powerful and more than capable of surviving on their own, they weren't truly and genuinely loyal to Prometheus. William was recruited because Zex has something over him, he had the man's family, and through his family Zex controlled William and assured his loyalty. However, that is not necessary when dealing with an android. Model Zero had no wishes or desires of his own. Zex only needed to give the order and the android would do as he wished even if it was an impossible task, the android would blindly give up his insignificant life for the man's ambitions.
Aer Nin, Ona, Invictus Maneo, Malum, Ungoliant, Greth, Iun Harime, and Erlik Lamia; Zero burned them into his memory as the cardinal spoke. Noted, he thought. As it seemed, there were nine cardinals in total. For such a large organization, the android would think they had a leader, but apparently Sebastian didn't feel like that was something they would want to know. Then again, Zero would also be interested in knowing how the group formed in the first place, where the idea of "Aon" emerged and what was this mythical symbol to begin with. Regardless, the group would start to question the android if he didn't ask things which also interested them and revolved around the mission. It was evident that they did not need too many explanations. They're an organization, and they want to exterminate the saiyans, that's all they needed to know, everything else was trivial and the android would have to research it on his own time.
What worried Zero was the state of the team. Kurosanai's dominant aura had suddenly vanished and now he could barely even stand. The android noticed his sudden change in behavior as they rode the elevator towards the surface. Conri Lane was back on his feet, although he wasted one of his senzu beans, Frigid was probably exhausted and Mr. Watson was about as strong as the android -which made them completely useless if they were to fight two other cardinals which were stronger than Sebastian. They barely survived their trip to Belegost, going to Mement Mor almost seemed like suicide, so a well formulated plan was in order. In the silence, as they ascended towards the arid desert above, the android asked Sebastian, "Are there any regenerative facilities within your ship?" If so, then the team could restore their strengths and prepare for coming battle.
Finally, they had reached the surface to where the docking area was built. It was large and engulfed in a barrier. Workers stepped aside and kept to their corners as the motley crew emerged. Ahead of them, they witnessed the ship which would take them to war. In Zero's mind, there were still three stops they were meant to make before the mission was complete. First, they would travel to Mement Mor to find the lost crew and possibly make significant discoveries which may or may not be relevant to their eventual fates. Next, they would have to return to Belegost so they could recover Conri's ship. The android wondered why the saiyan didn't just collapse the vessel into a capsule; perhaps, Zex's gift to the Galactic Champion was a little dated. After returning to Belegost, hopefully in one piece, the group would finally head back to the Omega Collective and report to Lord Zex.
Entering the large ship, it was definitely spacious; capable of carrying the entire group and possibly more, perhaps large enough to carry nine cardinals, he thought. Everyone gathered towards what appeared to be the main section of the ship. It wasn't long before questions were thrown around. The group was restless and craved many details, but Sebastian paced himself, feeding them with spoons of information while they wanted the whole bowl at once. Obviously, he was stalling and keeping his life relevant to their needs. If he told them everything they wished to know, they would have no point to keep him alive other than being able to enter Mement Mor's atmosphere in one piece -which was enough a reason for Zero, but he wouldn't let the cardinal know that. The android stood near Mr. Watson. His saber was still out and hummed silently. During the android's battle with the lieutenant, he was stripped of most of his armor, including the piece which stored his sword. Therefore, he had to keep it on hand. He could always just place it on a table and it would deactivate soon after the absence of his energy, but he needed to remain alert and ready to swipe whenever necessary.
Everyone was moving too fast and asking too many questions, but Sebastian still needed to start the ship and have put them on course to Mement Mot. Zero recognized this and remained silent. Instead, he observed and studied anything and everything Sebastian did with the controls; afterall, someone was going to need to pilot the ship once they leave Mement Mor, and although Conri could probably do it, having a copilot who understood what was happening is ideal. Model Zero would wait until the ship had taken off and Conri and Mr. Watson's questions were answered before he asked his.
"Can the cardinals detect a saiyans in any way?" Obviously, he wasn't referring to the tail. Zero wanted to know, if they hid Conri's tail, would they still know he's a saiyan? When they arrive to Mement Mor, they needed to be cordial and 'friendly' so they could get the cardinal's cooperation and learn about the lost crew. But if they knew a saiyan was aboard the ship, everything would devolve quickly into a fight to the death and nobody's questions would be answered. Therefore, it was imperative that they hide the saiyan's identity, or keep him in the ship until he was needed. Zero would wait for the answer before going to their next question. "Do they have any scouters? What is their security like?" For this question, the android was concerned about himself. What were the chances that he could infiltrate undetected as an unknown member of the group? Perhaps Zero could hide until the right time, or try and find answers his own way as the group kept security and the cardinal's attention focused of them. After having this question answered, he asked another. To the other's they may seem random and irrelevant questions unassociated to each other in any way, however, to Zero they were very important for developing a plan.
Unless it was already answered with Conri's question, Zero proceeded with his third. "Do they have cloaks like the one you had or anything which could hide their presence? If not, do they have any special items?" The android imagined every cardinal had some kind of special item like Sebastian's cloak, each with their own special properties. Conri's question would tell them of the cardinal's abilities and their fighting, but it probably wouldn't inspire the cardinal in disclosing any particular items they may want to know about. They had to ask specific questions or Sebastian would only give them the bare minimum, generating more questions.
[Zeni. Reminding that this is, in fact, Zero's job.]

Are there any regenerative facilities within your ship?
Yes there are healing chamber aboard the ship. There is also a workshop, if you are capable of self-repair I would seek it out.
So, Sebastian. Why don't you start telling us about the ones waiting for us on Mement Mor, like their fighting styles and similar things. That would be ever so helpful.
Invictus is the most seasoned warrior I've ever heard of, living or not. Its told that he has lead armies to victories in hundreds of wars. Iun is unpredictable and quite eccentric. As for specifics, I have never seen them fight with my own eyes.
“Also, could you give me a brief description of this Invictus Maneo?”
Invictus is over eight feet tall, clad head to toe in heavy armor. Even what little of his face isn't covered is cast in shadow by his helmet. Trust me when I say you'll know him when you see him.
Can the cardinals detect a saiyans in any way?
As Cardinals, we are more in tune with Aon's will. If He wishes to show us the truth, then we will see it.
Do they have any scouters? What is their security like?
Very tight security; long range sensors, orbital guns and anti-airship cannons. Any unauthorized ship that enters its system is doomed.
Do they have cloaks like the one you had or anything which could hide their presence? If not, do they have any special items?
I know of no items they possess that you would consider special.
Conri Lane - 13,904 pl Justice (Sebastian's sword): A finely crafted weapon. Kuro - 9,584 pl Aon's Grace (Sebastian's cloak): Specifically crafted for Sebastian, while worn it hides his ki from anyone and anything. While worn by another it hides the wearer's ki from everything except a scouter. Frigid - 3,265 pl Man - 3,590z Zasham - 5,647 pl
