As Zeke paused, his eyes dipping towards the ground Batto came to a stop as well. Looking at the Saiyan, the clan leader says nothing. The stranger could have stood still and silent for hours without the Namekian saying a word. It was nice to see him taking time with the question, perhaps seeing that the answer was not a simple one. Many did not have the insight to judge themselves, not fairly at least, for many took what others said with too much weight. Of course taking into account the opinions and thoughts of others was not a flaw in itself, but to rely on them for your own self reflection was indeed an error. Only an individual could truly know him or herself, many kept secrets within them that were to never be revealed, taken to the grave with them. Batto himself had a few and he did not doubt the visitor to his planet had his own as well.
“I am just a man, Batto. A man trying to do what’s right.”
Nodding slowly the Master was pleased with the answer. There was not the usual amount of pride in this one that came with Saiyan heritage. Of course he knew nothing about this one’s expensive past, but Batto had never met a Saiyan that appeared to be so humble. Starting to walk again the Namekian expected Zeke to follow so that they could continue their conversation.
“A fair answer. When it comes down to it everyone in the Universe is equal, of the same value. Even these Universal Church of One members that attacked your home are equal in their own right; no life is truly worth more than another. Would you agree with me on that Zeke?” Calmly look over at his walking partner, Batto awaits the answer.

It was good that Batto was one to listen and did not seem to be the type to judge harshly. If given the time and asked the right questions, there is much Zeke could taklk about. He was never one to speak his mind as often when he was younger... he didn't dare. It lead to scars on his back and fists to his face.
Zeke received none of that from Batto, Kazu or Jaxine though. The same with Akassa and even Ninjin who had simply nodded in approval when Zeke explained his reasons for stabbing him. A moment that had surprised Zeke and many others to no end, a pureblood Saiyan Royal, heir to the throne just simply nods and forgives an impalement? He would make a good king. So Zeke had thought, until he went on board with the genocide. Now Zeke wondered...
Zeke would nod at Batto's outlook on people. "Yes, I do agree. It is something that I have recently learned from my sword master, and I have taken it to heart. It is the basis of why I choose to defend the Church's citizens. They are equal as well. But so are the Leaders of the church... but they have made their choices and can not be allowed to continue their assault." he explained as Zeke continued his walk with the master.

”It is true that all are equal, but it is also true that all have the ability make their own choices in life. Sadly there are some that make the wrong choices and will not see the error of their ways. While I believe in attempting the non-violent approach first…violence cannot always be avoided.” Batto’s eyes shift over to Zeke as they walk, still surprised to see such a temperament and such views coming from a Saiyan. Perhaps the race was as blood thirsty as they seemed, then again this attack on their home most likely had the whole planet on edge. If what Zeke had told him was correct, the race might soon be on a path that it could not easily come back from if at all.
”So, you plan to protect the people of the Church, but eliminate its leaders of they will not see the error of their ways?” Again Batto wanted to know what exactly it was that the stranger had planned when he made his way to wherever it was the Saiyan’s launched their counter attack. If he met those that would not back down what might her do? Multiple options presented themselves, do not fight at all, beat them into submission or remove them from the Universe. Everyone had choices and Zeke was going to have his.
Still having been walking this entire time the pair of them had made it closer to the master’s home. The small dome structure was exactly like the rest of his brethrens homes, perhaps even less ornate than some. Batto had no reason for any elaborate home and Namekian’s saw no real value in having an abundance of material things. Life and your good health was the one true thing worth having in life and although trade had increased with other planets in the last century the Namekian home world had remained mostly the same. Motioning to the open doorway Batto invites Zeke into his moderate home.

Zeke would nod to Batto's summery of Zeke's plans. "I must eliminate the Church itself and sway my people to do the same. The civilians must survive and can then begin to make their choices." He told Batto.
If the members of the Church did not sway their beliefs, they would have to die in order to protect those whom their ideals threaten. The civilians needed to see the church crumble before they could even begin to understand the truth. Zeke didn't know of Batto's changing analysis on the Saiyans. They were not usually bloodthirsty, but they were quite violent and aggressive. Love a challenge and love a fight. To stoop to these murderous intentions was purely a result of the attack.
To Zeke, a moderate Namekian home was still a sight to be seen. They were unlike anything he had seen before, apart form the odd replica here and there on the moon that some Namekians lived in. Zeke followed in, looking around at the small place and wondering if the dome was stone or bone from some kind of creature. Also the round purple windows looked like glass but could also be a type of natural gem-like substance or from a creature. They may even be off a plant for all he knew. As far as being small, Zeke was used to it. He had slept i a basement most of his life and had little himself even now. Maybe if he lived that long, he would come to Namek to retire.
"I like your home. It's small and simple, but that's all one needs." Zeke said. He thought of akassa living in that huge palace all her life. He had no idea how she did it.

"A logical plan, but be weary. Many that follow such faiths are not easily swayed. You may find that even after their leaders have been removed from power their faith will remain strong. Believing in a greater being is not something to be feared, but the blind devotion that comes with it sometimes can be." In a way Batto's words rang true about the people of Namek as well. The seperate clans were not at all violent towards each other, save maybe a few radicals, but both fully believed their path was the correct one. For centuries now it had been this way and although compromises had been attempted none had ever come to pass. It made him wonder if those speaking of compromise truly thought it possible themselves.
The Master's home was simple, even by Namekian standards, the healer not requiring much more than the bare necessities. With no need to cook food in the traditional sense there was no kitchen nor was their a bedroom. The entire structure was one domed room, pillows strewn across the floor at its center. Several containers of water lined the wall for when Batto or his Namekian brothers needed sustenance. No light fixtures hung from the ceilings as the only light on the room was that which came through the purple windows. Strangely enough, whether it be magic or the properties of the substance, the windows did not give the room a purple hue like one might think. Instead it lit the room with the naturally colored light of the Sun.
"Are you thirsty at all Zeke? Unfortunately water or tea is all I have to offer, and you may take a seat if you like." Batto offers as he heads over to prepare a cup of tea for himself. Zeke could refuse or accept either of the offers, the Namekian would not be offended. Anyone he brought into his home was indeed a guest, but he did not expect all to immediately adapt to the lifestyle that suited him.

Listening to the man's words on how belief effects people, Zeke nodded. "I know. Devotion is something I understand it myself first hand. But I have to at least try." Zeke told him. Batto had a point, but when it came to a planet of millions of people, they should at least see there is an option before they are wiped out. Also Zeke had no issue with their faith, just the need to eliminate innocents. Zeke feared that their beliefs had been altered or twisted to implement that, as many civilizations had done in past years. The true Church of One believers of Aon could be totally harmless.
Zeke was actually quite confused as to how the purple windows cast natural light, as it defied logic... yet Zeke could create things from air, so he was one who could accept it as is. He was quite glad that the doorway was more than tall enough for him to walk through, as usually he had to deal with his spiky hair scraping across the top of a doorway. Earth was worse, he constantly had to hunch down a couple inches there. This was the biggest reason why Zeke usually just smashed through a wall to get where he's going in combat.
Zeke nodded and sat down. "Sure, I'd like to try the tea." Zeke said. he looked around and seen the bottled liquid, knowing it was water. Nahlin was the one who had broken the news of how Namekians usually had no food for travelers. Zeke could easily hunt something and cook it himself after though, so it was not an issue. He planned to bring Nahlin so he didn't end up with an animal that could not be eaten, or ended up killing something endangered. That would be just his luck.
He couldn't help but wonder what the man thought of him. A Saiyan acting so calm and collected, instead of the stereotypical brash and loud with a bad attitude Saiyan that many had come to expect. He almost acted human, and with the brown hair and blue eyes, he could pass as one. However, it was likely his build and his height that gave away his Saiyan blood. His tail was still concealed as usual as he had no use for it as of yet. He did however have plans to learn to wield his sword with it as Kosho Masamune did.
Zeke was also still wondering if the man would take him as a student. He also wondered what else he was capable of. "So, what other kinds of techniques are you capable of other than healing? I'm quite fascinated with seeing how others have learned to manifest their energy." He explained.
He had seen the generic Ki blast and Ki wave so many times that he would almost roll his eyes when it was used on him. However Akassa's Energy Whip was impressive as were her Ki Gauntlets and Distructo-Disk attack. Slates Ki punch that he had learned was also very interesting as was the Saiyan's ability to create a power ball to trigger their Oozaru form.

”Tea it is then.” Setting the small ceramic kettle on the hot plate he had within his home Batto sets to work on preparing the beverages. For the time being he focused on that, letting Zeke’s questions about his techniques hang in the air for a moment. It was of course no attempt to be rude, the Healer was just in no rush. As a long lived creature it was perhaps a matter of perspective, but Batto believed that every part of life should be enjoyed, not just the exciting ones. Grasping the handle attached to the hot plate the Master pours Ki into it, the simply plate designed to absorb Ki and turn it into heat. In less than a minute he had the water hot enough to properly prepare the tea. Setting two cups on the counter he places a tea bag in both, slowly pouring warm water into the cups. Steam rose from both mugs as she turned back to face Zeke, carefully making his way over towards him.
”Other techniques? Well, I am capable of many of the same techniques that you probably know. Blasts, beams and the like, although beyond healing I do have one specialized technique, one of y own creation. Being a peaceful man I prefer to avoid a fight if possible, so in order to make combat easier to avoid invented Ring Jyou No. It is a technique that utilizes Ki rings to immobilize an opponent.” Batto had created the attack on his own, but he was in truth not the first to use it. Centuries ago the legendary hero Vegeta had used the technique in an attack with Goku, but the Namekian had no idea of that usage, having recreated the technique on his own time. It had no real killing power, but that is why the Namekian preferred it…although it could leave the target vulnerable if that was your intent.
Making it to the collection of pillows near the center of his home Batto extends a hand to offer the cup to Zeke before taking a seat. The tea he had made was actually from Earth, green tea to be exact. Namekians only needed water, it was true, but it was much more enjoyable to drink tea if you could acquire some, adding some different tastes to the beverage. ”So you wish to learn from me, no? I must admit it is odd for a Saiyan to come seeking my teaching, no offense of course.” The Master says with a smile before lifting his cup in Zeke’s position, then taking a sip of the hot tea.

Zeke caught the use of Ki to heat the water, then listened as Batto explained his other simple techniques, adding the Ki Ring technique to the list. Zeke thought about that technique, wondering if Batto may also share it as well. However using Ki to heat water was something that Zeke never thought of doing... as he usually only used his body's energy to manifest magical or psykinetic energy most of the time.
"Yes, I would like to learn from you, despite being a Saiyan. I'm quite interested in your Healing, magic rings and secret technique of heating water." he said, taking a sip from the tea. He wasn't even the least bit offended, he'd been called a dirty monkey to his face before and didn't flinch. "And to be honest, I actually have no idea how to heat water."
Zeke would try to manifest his Ki like Batto did, but the water boiled too fast and the cup cracked, spilling the tea. Zeke just looked into his lap at a mess that would embarrass most people, but then casually used his Psykinetic skills to draw the tea from his clothes and float in a ball as he used his hand to bring the shattered cup back into one piece. He let the tea drop back in and took another sip. He did it casually, as if he was around Kazu or Jax, not intending to show off, but chances were the Master had seen these things before.
"You see, I have a dark past that has majorly affected my mind. I enjoy combat as any Saiyan but I have been known to go way too far. Thankfully, I have had some help, partly from the Blade Hermit of New Vegeta to overcome this. However, I still face many evil people, and your Ring technique could be used to subdue them for judgement rather than simply kill them, and the Healing could be of use for anyone that they may have harmed."
Zeke attempted the heating of the water again, only to end with the same result. Soaked in tea again, Zeke became a little irritated. "I can fix the mess and even create the whole cup of tea if I wanted, but I can't control the Ki right to heat it?" He said, sighting and again cleaning the mess up again. Chances were there were Namekian children out there doing this every day and Zeke was just blowing up cups. It was kind of funny in a way, he figured, but depressing. It was just like his Matter Transmutation. It was meant to create, but his father had always gotten him to use it to kill and destroy things. Zeke wondered how he would ever be capible of healing in the first place.

A Saiyan interested in healing, that was like a Namekian interested in food. Sipping his tea carefully Batto keeps his eyes on the man, not out of distrust, but out of curiosity. The Master was a large believer in the Universe having its own plan. That plan was of course beyond comprehension to any normal being, however; that did not mean one might not catch glimpses of what he or she believed to be “fate.” Now Batto was not trying to foretell that this Saiyan might have a larger role to play than most, yet everything pointed to him being different than the rest of his lot. Then again, perhaps the Universe just had a sense of humor, occasionally sending an individual down a path that was far from the norm of what was expected.
Taking another sip of his lovely beverage the Namekian watches as Zeke attempts the simple task of heating the tea in his cup, much like Batto had done to the hot plate moments before. When the small vessel broke apart he gently places his cup down as he begins to rise, planning on retrieving a towel to allow Zeke to clean himself off. The cloth was not needed though, the green man watching in silence as the Saiyan uses some power to pull the liquid from his clothes, collect it and place it back into the mended cup. Now that was a strange ability, perhaps they were both Master’s, skilled in their different areas of Ki use.
”Many have dark pasts, but that is exactly what they are, pasts. Such an excuse is never cause enough to define the rest of your existence. Water can destroy almost anything in its path, yet it also is something that almost all life requires. When a flood destroys our homes or lands do we remove the water so it can never threaten us again? No, we let that memory slip into the past because of what good we know the water will bring us in the future.” His words were not meant as a lesson to a student, but more to make a point to a peer. One could not change the past not matter how much they might regret their actions. What you could do though was shape the future for the better.
”You cannot heat the tea because you try too hard, you attempt to force it. The same goes for my healing technique. Giving your energy to another so that their body may mend is not something you can do through sheer force. Some techniques require you to simply let energy flow through you, let it take its natural course as your will gently guides it.” Batto sips his tea gain before nodding at the twice mended cup in Zeke’s hand. ”Try again.”

The Saiyan however did have to reflect on the mans metaphor of water. It was the same as fire. The raging fire that burned within Zeke and was slowly consuming him... at times it had come loose and caused much death and destruction. However that same fire fueled him in combat when he stood up for his new found resolve. He was a trained murdering machine, but he now knew he could channel even those negatives into something positive.
The master had a similar way of describing the use of the water-heating as his Mother had explained Matter Manipulation. Back then, Zeke knew how to do exactly that... allow energy to flow so calmly like water. Zeke had been a natural, able to mold the very air into a solid and then multiply the matter into a larger blob of mass, then create from it. Then... she was gone. It came to his father screaming at him one day when Zeke lost the ability to let his energy flow. instead it flared. It flared like an inferno.
He then used his mothers Matter Manipulation to create crude and simple things such as blades and spikes, chains or simple balls of incredibly heavy mass to throw at his father, trying his hardest to hit him. Maybe even kill him. Zeke had turned something meant to create into something that simply allows another way to kill. What if Zeke did the same with the healing technique?
Zeke closed his eyes and set his tea cup down. He had to calm his energy to flow like water once again. Maybe this was really what it was about... being able to calm it down or flare it up could help him switch his techniques up and use other ones more efficiently. He may even be able to soon master his Matter Transmutation...
He kept his eyes closed as a dark black energy formed in his hands. The glass began to shake, but didn't break this time. Zeke had been trying too hard at first but then he decided to simply sit and breathe, letting the energy simply sit in his hands. Within moments, he could smell the warm tea. He didn't notice however that his black energy turned golden. He smiled and raised the glass to his lips, the feeling of victory upon him.
The tea bag rolled out of the cup and plopped onto his nose as he tried to drink. Zeke opened his eyes, looking into an empty cup.
"It seems... I still may have heated it a little too quickly." he said. The water had completely evaporated from the cup. He set it down and held out a hand, causing the hot water to rise up and pour into his glass. "A shame too, it's good tea. Could swear my Mother drank the same stuff though, it smells familiar." he stated. He assumed it was some kind of Namekian tea, having no idea it was simply a popular brand imported from Earth, where he and his mother had lived. Zeke knew Namekians usually didn't grow foods, but he thought maybe they grew their own tea leaves?

Always preferring to watch in silence rather than add comments or advice, Batto gingerly sips his teas as the Saiyan attempts to warm the tea again. There was a slight tremble in the cup, but it did not explode into pieces this time…obviously an improvement. Curiously, partially through the attempt, the man’s energy shifted from black to a soft golden color, perhaps the signs of a lighter side to his nature? As far as Batto knew an individual’s Ki color was based off of their personality. Those with lighter hearts such as himself tended to have lighter colors, while those with harbored anger or hatred tended to exhibit darker colors when using energy. Perhaps this Zeke was the perfect example. While having a shady past, possibly a link to his dark color Ki, he was now trying to use the strength he possessed for a more positive cause hence the golden color it had momentarily shifted to. A hypothesis though, nothing more so the Master keeps it to himself.
When Zeke was finally done, although having failed again, Batto would smile. Any step forward was progress, no matter how small. In reference to the statement about the tea, the Namekian would respond. ”The tea is from Earth you know, simple Green Tea so I would not be surprised if she drank the same.” Lifting his small cup to the man’s efforts with heating the tea Batto finished his cup, the warmth of the beverage not seeming to bother him in the least. Having drank so much of the liquid, liquid his only source of sustenance, he had come quite accustomed to drinking it at higher temperatures.
”May I ask a question Zeke?” The healer waiting for permission before proceeding.
”That ability of yours, the one you utilized to fix my tea cup, how often do you use it? I only ask because although it seems powerful my advice is to not become too depended on it, not everything can be fixed or restored to its original form. Again I am not trying to lecture, I have just known a couple individuals who have always tried to fix what they thought was wrong when something’s cannot be fixed. The same goes for my healing technique. It is a powerful skill that is for sure, but it has its own limits. Even I have failed to save lives in the past with it, sometimes the wound is to grave to undo.”
Batto was not judging the Saiyan, but hoped he saw that as fond of fixing things as he was and his goal to protect those that needed it, was not an easy path. Ultimately there would be failure and that failure has been known to destroy the person seeking to do right. One must always realize that not everything can be controlled.

And that would become one of the biggest obstacles within the path Zeke had chosen, as Zeke had always detested failure. He had been trained to think of it as not an option. However, he was not naive to think that he could change everything and do anything. It would happen and he would have to accept it.
He took another drink of the tea. His saiyan appetite was kicking in, he could drink all the tea in the village if he wanted. However he would never allow himself to do anything of that sort. "I train myself to rely on multiple things. That technique, energy, psykinetic abilities, hand to hand and my sword. I use it rarely in combat now. As for outside of combat, I have mostly only used it for small and simple things... And I have tried using it to seal wounds as well."
Zeke set the cup down.
"It did not end well. That form of magic can not be used on the living. It does work in time, but the immense pain can cause major stress on the brain leading to a coma or even death. Trust me, I am well aware of the limitations of magic."
And to the limits of life. However, some things required the trial of the impossible, such as his mission to sway his people from committing Genocide.

”So you have attempted to heal with you technique then? Or should I say attempted to reconstruct the flesh of an organic creature? It is not surprising that it did not work, my technique is quite different than that feat you are able to perform.”[/b] The Namekian mused as she leans back some on the large pillow that was his seat. Resting for a moment he then resumes his pervious position, sitting up straight once more. While Zeke seemed to be an intelligent man there was plenty for him to learn, there was always more to learn.
”So tell me, what makes you believe that you will be able to convince these Saiyans Royals to stay their hand against the Universal Church of One? Do you have some sort of connection to them that might aide you in this task?” The healer was not trying to pry, but this subject of genocide was not one to be taken lightly. If Batto knew where it was that these Saiyan’s might be going he would be inclined to go himself, to try his hand at stopping any atrocities from happening. Sadly, even if he did find out, he doubted they would listen to him. New Vegeta was by no means an enemy of Namek, yet they were far from allies.
Waiting for Zeke to explain why he believed the Royals to listen to him the Namekian Healer had already decided he would teach the man his technique. There was good in this man, yet a dark streak still remained. Perhaps learning a technique to help others and employing it would lead him down the better path, the path that would save lives instead of end them. It was not every day Batto so many traits in a Saiyan that reminded him of a younger version of himself.

A good question from Batto. Zeke look another sip as he thought about Akassa.
"I have made friends with the Princess, Akassa Hattori. Also, I hope that this healing will help aid the king in his poisoned state and that it will lead to his trust in my opinion. However should that fail, I may need to acquire the planets location and persuade the war party leader, who will likely be the eldest Prince, Ninjin." He took another sip. "... by force, if necessary."
With so many peoples lives in danger, it may very well be necessary. Zeke would however do his best to avoid killing the man... though it was not as easy last time. Zeke hoped Ninjin didn't soon make him regret not killing him. Zeke would blame himself if Ninjin killed all those people, as he could of ended him on Omega. But then again, had Ninjin been dead, Zeke never would of befriended Akassa, who then would be the one in his place about to commit genocide.
"I ask to learn your restraining Ki-Ring as well, if you would teach me. If it comes to force, it will greatly help my chances of defeating Ninjin and other resistance in battle and allow them to live. I do not want to be responsible for the deaths of Saiyan warriors. That would just lead to a bigger reason to take out the planet, as I would be on it."
Zeke never imagined he would find something this useful here. Not only could he possibly become able to heal those in need, but also simply restrain his enemies and leave them for proper judgement rather than simply kill them. Zeke had used his own kinds of restraints before, but these days its quite easy to break out of mere chains and stone enclosures. Zeke began to think he would not have found better techniques on the Warrior side of Namek, but he did wonder.

”Akassa Hattori, I have heard of her as well. Eldest child of the King if I am not mistaken? Perhaps your friendship with her will allowed your words to get through to her brother, one can only hope that will be the case. Rarely does violence prevent violence.”
Taking a moment to stretch out his legs out before him, the Namekian seemed to be in no rush to move things along. While Zeke had plans to return to New Vegeta and help the Saiyan race, while possibly saving another, the Master did not believe in rushing. Anything that was worth doing or learning was worth the time and dedication that was required. Healing was no different; the technique was not something an individual could rush if he or she wished to learn it properly. Batto would teach the Saiyan the technique, but as they got deeper into the training the warrior was going to realize it was he who had to learn and not Batto who had to teach.
”I believe you are deserving of both techniques, but I must warn you that rings are not unbreakable; a foe of equal strength will be able to for free of them. Make sure to remember this when you try to restrain someone like Ninjin Hattori.” Smiling some Batto tucks his legs back under him, before patting the ground in front of him with his hand. If Zeke wanted to learn how to heal he was going to have to come closer, the technique was not one that worked from a distance.
”Please move yourself closer. If you wish to learn how to heal you are first going to have to learn to truly let you Ki flow, not force it from your body like you are accustom to.” Sitting comfortably on his pillow still the Namekian holds out his hands as he waits, palms facing up as his eyes calmly watch the Saiyan.
