Zeke figured the ring technique was not going to be unbreakable. But it was simple Ki logic from there. Zeke would not be able to simply zap the rings on someone and assume easy victory. He would likely need to battle them until their power was considerably lower than his own before they would have the best effect. If battle against Ninjin Hattori came to be, Zeke hoped the Ki Ring would serve as his trump card.
For now, he would need to learn to better channel his Ki. Not channel exactly, but more-so allow it to flow as the master stated. Zeke came closer and knelt in front of Master Batto, taking a breath before placing his hands over the Namekians. He looked up at the other man, wondering what to do next.
"I hope you don't plan on letting me project Ki into your hands, that could end badly." he explained, thinking about possibly burning the mans hands or even causing an explosion. However, he could sense Batto was far from weak, and an accident would not be as grave with the mans regeneration ability. Zeke had been surprised by that when Nahlin's arm grew back while on the Moon. Too bad Zeke couldn't pick that trick up.
"So to let it flow..." Zeke started, not really sure how to go about this. He closed his eyes; his mind still filled with visions of an explosion or the incineration of the mans arms. Also what if Batto did not have the regeneration ability and it was unique to few? He had too many doubts...

Batto chuckles a little at the Saiyans comment, he was not worried about the man hurting him. Even if something did go wrong, the healer had plenty of energy reserved within him. On top of that he could regenerate like any other Namekian. The trait of their people was one of the most useful ones in the known Universe. Growing back a limb or part of the body had almost endless uses, especially when it came to the warrior class Namekians. Batto himself preferred not to fight if conflict could be avoided, but he been forced into situations in the past…so he was thankful for his ability to regenerate.
As Zeke sat down and extended his hands to face Batto’s the master was quickly starting to shake his head at the Saiyan’s words. ”All I wish for you to do is sit and observe, learn for now and then we can discuss you attempting what I am about to show you, fair enough?” Waiting for the Saiyan to show his understanding before continuing the Namekian would answer any questions he might have before actually proceeding. What Batto wanted to show him first and foremost was the difference between expelling Ki and letting it flow from your body. This lesson was the same one he had put the future Guru, Banduk Gundu, through when he had come to him seeking knowledge.
To start off the lesson Batto forms a collection of small Ki spheres in his palm, between their hands. Letting them collect for a moment the Namekian then releases them all, the weak, but numerous blasts peppering the Saiyan’s hands. The point of this part was for Zeke to be reminded of what it was like be struck by blasts, but on a much smaller scale so that he might closer compare the different he was about to be shown. After several seconds of the small peppering blasts they stop, Batto taking a slow breath before meeting the Saiyan’s eyes. Letting the sensation set in a moment the healer then begins using his healing technique, even though his current pupil had no wounds. Regardless, the Ki from his hands felt warm as it radiated from his palm into Zeke’s. Keeping the technique active he smiles some.
”Can you feel the difference in the two techniques?”

Being hit by numerous small blasts like these was a technique most would see as weak and completely useless. Zeke however knew it took alot to fire a blast that was weaker than you were used to, and to make them at this low level took alot of Ki control. However the master wasn't bothered by it at all. Zeke was reminded once again that he was in the presence of a true master.
Zeke nodded. "I can feel the difference, yes." he said.
He felt the flowing energy. Instead of hitting his hands, it sort of dispersed over his skin in an even fainter but constant form. It was similar to a Ki wave in a way, constant energy. Zeke could fire Ki waves, but the times he had used them instead of blasts or his usual techniques had been few and far between. In a way, they too were flowing energy. However Zeke new it was still a form that was massively forced from the body at a huge scale. This was far different.
"Wait..." Zeke said "... Is this your actual healing technique? I'm not even injured, but I do feel a bit better than before. Does this technique replenish energy and lower fatigue?" he asked. He also wondered if the energy would find its way to an injury even if the user applied it to a different part of the body. However Zeke still wasn't quite sure how to let his Ki 'flow' like this.
"I could draw energy to prepare a blast or a wave, but I cant understand how you go from that to this slower release of constant energy." he admitted. He also wondered just how much energy was being used just now. He had a hundred questions about the techniques properties and its limitations... It was far more than just a simple flowing technique. However his curiosity may be clouding his mind and hindering him just now more than helping.

The young one was full of inquiries, but the old saying was true, there was no such thing as a dumb question. To fully understand something was to truly master it. A proud warrior might hold his tongue in the fear that he might embarrass himself for such uncertainty. That warrior would be a fool in the end, while his question happy companion would be for the better when all was said and done. With the questions coming Batto answers them in turn, a low level of Ki still radiating from his hands. The healer wanted to make sure that Zeke felt the difference in the technique compared to others.
”This is indeed my healing technique. Although it has the capability to heal grievous wounds or minor cuts, it also replenishes the body. The energy I am giving you is directly from my internal Ki flow, the energy that naturally flows through my body. For that reason this technique is tiring, even this low amount of Ki and I can feel the tinge of fatigue. Of course the more energy expended the greater amount of fatigue the user experiences. The technique is much more complex than most realize.” Batto explains, his powerful healing abilities not as simple as throwing your energy at another so that they might be rejuvenated.
”The word draw is the key Zeke. Unlike drawing energy from your body, you need to let your body in turn release the energy. It may be confusing, but there is a distinct difference. In order to master this technique you will need to be able to let go of your control over your own Ki, if you will. The energy that I am currently releasing is flowing from my body compared to the small blasts I had peppered against your hand before. Does this make sense?” Batto hoped the Saiyan understood, but would not be surprised if he didn’t. There were a few in his years that he had taught this technique, or at least tried to, and not a single one of them had grasped it with ease. Many warriors could not easily break from what they had been taught their entire lives in terms of how to use their Ki.

He had to sit for a moment. He looked at how the Ki flowed, and thought about it for a few moments. Then, Zeke drew his left hand away and held it up. It looked alot like how his Matter Manipulation technique formed. But there was no way that the method to letting Ki flow was staring Zeke in the face already, was it? Matter Manipulation was Ki energy turned into Magic Energy, and that is what made it different. At least, that's how his mother explained it to him when he was a child...
Zeke held the hand up and formed a smokey black energy in his left hand, looking quite similar to Batto's technique. But was it? "Is your technique related to my ability to manipulate matter by any chance?" He asked, turning to throw the magic at the wall, opening a hole in the material. He chuckled, but looked at Batto after. "I'll... fix that before I leave." he assured the master before he were to fret over it. Or, maybe he wanted a new door?
If Zeke was right, and his 'Magic' was really a form of flowing Ki, then he may be able to understand. It would make sense for a mother to explain it to a child in that way. He also had to ask Batto more about the technique. "I'm curious, would the energy find its way to wounds or does it need to be directly applied? I'm also wondering how it affects things such as disease, poison or even paralysis or wounds such as dismemberment." He inquired. He was sure this technique had limits, and he wanted to know of them before he tried using it in the future on those whom it could not help. Letting down an injured person was not something he wanted to have to go through.

Batto observed as the Saiyan demonstrated his matter manipulating abilities once again. While the technique did vary in comparison to your standard energy attack, the healer was not quite convinced it was the same as his healing technique. While it did seem to have a certain natural flow to it, the ability was still guided by the users will. From what he could gather Zeke still had to mentally choose what it was he was going to alter or create. An example was when he had drawn the spilt tea from his clothes after reforming the broken cup, both had been his objective and presumably he had mentally pictured the recreated cup as it reformed in his hand.
"Well, I believe your unique skill is closer to my technique in mechanics than day a normal Ki blast, yet there seem to be some differences. I have to assume that when you create or alter something, you must see it in your minds eye first, correct? If that is the case then again it is you who is dictating the flow of your Ki. With my technique the bodies natural flow of energy controls and directs the Ki you exert. It is almost as if the Ki has a mind of its own, it is one of the reasons the technique is so draining on the user. " Batto tried to explain, the Namekian making no comment about the whole in the wall. He had seen what the man in black was capable of and had no reason not to believe that he would fix it before their time was done.
"No, it is not required that you focus the technique over the wounded part of the body. When healing another you only need keep your hand over them, letting the energy radiate into the body and the Ki itself will do the rest. Like I said before, the technique is based on the natrual flow of Ki, minimal control is needed. Now, would you mind knicking your finger with that blade of yours? Perhaps if you see the technique in action it might make more sense as to how it works." The master says with a gentle smile. Sometimes all the explaining in the world was not enough to understand, witnessing something was often a sound way to understand.

Surprisingly, the man was not bothered by the whole in the wall at all. However that became the least of Zeke's worries once Batto tried to better explain the technique and how it differs from his own technique. The Healing magic acted on its own, but the user simply had to allow it to go on its own. Then he explained more deeply how the technique itself effected wounds, sounding quite simple. You just let it flow and it takes care of the rest. Zeke didn't get all his answers, but he figured he would get them in time.
Then Master Batto asked Zeke to cut himself. Zeke looked down at his blade, still fastened to his right hip. The Muramasa was a blade that he had been cut with many times before. That was back when his Father wielded it, but Zeke eventually relieved him of the blade. At six feet long, he would not draw it out fully in the house, but he put his right hand on the scabbard and popped it a few inches free with his thumb. He slid his left index finger along the blade before snapping it back in and holding the finger out. The blood dripped off as he had cut it a little deep, but it was to be expected from a sword of legendary quality. Muramasa was a sword that back in the days of its origin would allow a mere human to slash six other humans clean in two at the midsection. Gruesome, but that was the way they tested the quality back then.
"I hope this is enough for you, I don't think I'd want you blasting me through your house for an adequate injury." He said, picturing Batto up and blasting him out of nowhere. That's what a Saiyan would do though. Namekians were far more peaceful people... the ones in this village anyway.

As always the Namekian healer sat and waited. Ever patient with any and all he came across, the Master would give Zeke as much time as he needed. What he had asked was nothing extreme, especially considering the man he had asked to cut himself was a seasoned warrior by his own regards. Without complaint, as expected, the Saiyan popped his sword free of its sheath. Only a part of the blade was needed in order to administer such a small wound, the warrior knicking his finger before sliding the sword back away. With a soft smile Batto lets the man extend his hand and finger outward before making any move to heal it.
”Now, like I said, do your best to pay attention to how the energy feels different than when you get hit by a blast of energy or anything similar. This should help you see exactly how my technique works, if you believe you understand after this I think it will be time for you to try it on another.” With the cut finger exposed and facing upwards, Batto hovers his hand above it, flat palm facing down towards the tiny wound. Slowly his hand began to glow, emanating energy like it had before. The difference this time was that the energy instead of simply flowing into the Saiyan’s body, it had a focus. An individual’s body knew when it had been injured, nerves and pure instincts alerting the mind to a wounds presence. The technique had its own way of sensing an injury, pulsing through the body until it found the area that had a disrupted flow. A small slash to a near mortal wound each disrupted the body’s natural flow of energy. With his hand right over the cut itself, the technique worked even faster. The only thing Zeke would feel was the slight tingle as the skin knit itself back together, similar to the same tingle one might have when suffering from a recent sun burn.
If Zeke had tilted his head to watch the actual wound heal he would see his skin simply close back together naturally. The tissue and cells were repaired the same way they would have healed on their own, the technique only accelerating that process. It worked the same with fatigue for the body recovered from rest, while Batto could use his own energy to restore another’s.

Zeke did tilt his head to watch the parted skin simply pull itself back together. It was like a tingling feeling. It was far different from the kind of energy you drew yourself for a blast. Batto was simply letting the power come from within himself and let it flow to where it was needed, and the Healing did the rest. Maybe the reason Zeke was not able to do it himself was simply because he was over-analyzing it and trying too hard. Zeke nodded. "I see. But the energy simply flows freely from within."
He pulled his blade free and cut his finger a second time, sheathing it again. hand back and sat them on his knees. He closed his eyes and sat there for a moment, trying to think of how to get that energy to flow. He couldn't do it through concentration, nor could he will it in any other way. He had to relax and simply let it flow out of his body. Zeke sat there, unsure as to how long he sat there, but as he sat and relaxed himself, he felt a warmth through his body. He felt that warmth move to his finger and once he opened his eyes.
Was Zeke actually managing to flow his energy? He hoped he had not been sitting there long even if the man was patient, and he really hoped he had not fallen asleep in front of Batto by mistake. It would take more practice to perfect, but Zeke felt his energy flowing through his body on its own. "I... think I'm getting something." he would say. He would hold up a hand and try to see if the energy would flow there, hoping to see the golden light that Batto was able to produce.

Zeke’s latest assumption was correct. Up until now he had been trying far too hard to use the technique. The brilliance of Batto’s healing technique was its simplicity. Honestly, he believed that anyone could teach the skill to themselves if they understood the basics. The problem was, as Zeke had demonstrated, most that used their Ki had learned how to do so in a combat scenario or for one. When anyone thought of Ki they always thought of blasts and barriers. Sadly the Universe was not full of individuals that wanted to use Ki to construct or reconstruct, mostly it was to destroy. That was not to say everyone was inherently evil, but even in doing what was right and protecting others one often had to destroy. Evil had a way of corrupting all those it touched in one way or another…hopefully like the Saiyan legend Goku there remained a few that it could not taint.
With the Saiyan’s finger healed the Master watches as Zeke makes another shallow cut on his finger. At first thinking he wanted the technique demonstrated again Batto began to lift his hands towards the minor wound, but stops. Silently he observes as Zeke attempts to close the wound, the warrior’s eyes closing as makes another attempt. It took several minutes, a little more than ten to be exact, but then soft golden energy began to radiate from his hand. It was barely noticeable at first and the cut did not seal as quickly as when Batto had healed him, but it was closing. Nodding his approval in silence the Namekian says nothing until Zeke speaks.
”I believe you are. The progress is slow and the wound minor, but the concept is the same. Something as superficial as that cut will take little energy to heal. The greater the wound the more energy so be careful when you try to employ it. Should you give all your strength to heal another it will leave you quite vulnerable. Also, if you are weak from battle it will not be possible to heal yourself like you just did now; the body needs to be in good condition to heal.” The healer smiles as he speaks though, this the first time he had ever taught his technique to a Saiyan although Zeke was far from having mastered it.

It made sense. It also was apparent that it was more difficult to heal ones self than to heal another. It would not have very good combat use, but that was not the reason Zeke wanted to learn it. In a situation like that, he could simply take a Senzu bean and then use the recovered energy to heal multiple others. Perfecting self-healing could wait. Zeke wondered how to test it on others, but then remembered he could always practice on Jaxine. She was prone to random injuries from scuffles and self-inflicted accidents based on shear stupidity.
"I happen to have a friend of mine who I will likely be able to practice on. She's a hotheaded Saiyan Pureblood... so you should be able to piece together the reasoning as to why. I don't think I will be calling her here right now though. You may end up with more holes in your home." Zeke stated, remembering to quickly bring the hole back closed again with some of his energy. Zeke then held out his hand and tried to let his energy flow again. It took a few moments but he found the feeling he had before and the golden glow came to his hand. It was part of his human half, his ability to learn quickly. Zeke held the glow for a few moments.
"Thank you for showing me how to do this, Master Batto. I will put it to good use. This will save lives." he stated, thinking of King Tsuyo in whom the poison's effects would most likely still be effecting. Unfortunately the new ability was not going to be enough to aid the King in his state once Zeke returns to Namek. Little to his knowledge, a transmission was sitting in his ships computer from Akassa stating that the King, Queen, and even the young prince would need alot more than simple healing.

Batto actually lets out a gentle laugh at the mention of the Saiyan woman. A hotheaded Saiyan, who would have ever thought such a thing existed? The Namekian would not be surprised at all, in his experience the females of the race that grew to rival the stronger males seemed to be the more rambunctious ones. Perhaps it was because of the mostly male dominated society, they had more of a chip on their shoulder. Whatever it was Batto figured he would never know the answer, some mysteries were better left unsolved.
”I would like to meet her some day, although perhaps it is best to wait until she is in a good mood. Thank you for fixing the hole as well, I did not mind it, but was not so keen on having it as a permanent window, less privacy.” The healer says with a small smile. Stretching some as Zeke speaks again, stating his desire to save lives with the technique he had just learned. Truly the master hoped that was the case. Either way it was not a waste to have spent the time teaching the warrior, but he hoped he had not wasted too much time on Namek.
”You are welcome; I wish you luck in your venture Zeke. Do be careful though, an individual’s path to war is not easily swayed, you may find yourself against friends before the end. As much as he cherished peace Batto had spent his time fighting and occasionally it was against his brethren or friends. In such a scenario no one was the winner, no matter the outcome of the fight. Hopefully Zeke’s words would reach his friends hearts.

Zeke raised an eye brow when he stated he would like to meet her one day, quickly stating "No you don't...", Batto continuing on to finish with saying "wait until she is in a good mood." Zeke chuckled. "Then I meant no you won't", he would explain. She had many different moods, but all were simple adaptations of rage. Joyful rage, angry rage, sorrowful rage and hungry rage. When Zeke called her 'hotheaded', he meant 'hotheaded among Saiyans'.
Zeke nodded. "I know. But if I don't try, then what different am I from those who plan the slaughter?" he asked. He was also doing this so others wouldn't need to. They could just put their hopes into Zeke and support him instead of being put in the line of fire. There was even a chance of Zeke not coming back from this one. It would be a shame though, learning this gift and dieing at something that may not be avoidable. Zeke would first need the planet's location to follow the War Party before he could act.
Zeke nodded to the green skinned master. "I think I have taken up enough of your time and energy for one day, Master Batto. I would like to learn how to use the Ki Ring technique if you will teach it, but I'm sure I will be around for a couple days..." Zeke looked outside. "Or hours? Seriously, what is today?" he asked, confused due to the three suns Namek had, granting its limitless light. It was amazing that the planet hadn't boiled by now, but Zeke was sure the Namekians or an Astronomer could explain the whole phenomenon if he wished.

"I believe there is calm within all beings, but I digress. If it is meant to be your friend and I shall cross paths one day or we may not." Always a believer in fate Batto never attempted to force anything. The Master had attempted to convince the young Banduk Gundu of this as well, or perhaps convince was the wrong word. Through his sessions with the much younger Namekian he had only hoped to instill patience in the boy. While a promising young warrior and future Guru, Banduk was exactly that, young. He was not hot headed like a young Saiyan or Human, but he was determined to prove himself to the Universe. Perhaps that was Pitka and Batto's fault though for the boy had been more content with simple Namekian life before he had been instructed to enter the Galactic Tournament. While the experience had done him well in terms of broadening his horizons it had also made him a bit more anxious. Only time would tell if he was truly prepared to become Guru.
The healer nods some at Zeke's words. "Of course. I was not attempting to dissuade you, for your cause is noble, I only wished to offer you advice based on my life's experience. " Batto offers with a smile. He truly did hope Zeke could end this coming genocide before it even begun. While those that murdered others could not be allowed to roam free and do as they please, murder in retaliation was not the best response. The Namekian's main fear was that the Saiyans could not be deterred, after all they were not a race known for peace talks and negotiations.
Batto couldn't help but chuckle at the Saiyans difficulty with tell time, it was a common problem for visitors. "Hours, while we have spent some time together it has not exceeded a day. As for my other technique I would be willing to teach it to you when you have time. Although it may be wise to consider how long you have spent traveling here as it is. How long so you think the Saiyans will wait before marching to war?" The Master had no qualms with teaching the warrior more, but he would hate for said training to delay the man enough that lives might be lost. Batto knew little of the situation though so he would leave that decision up to Zeke. Hopefully there was still adequate time.

"I believe there is calm within all beings..."
Well Zeke used to until he seen Jaxine take a massive mood swing from being perfectly normal to leveling a parking garage simply because someone didn't put enough cream in her coffee. Zeke was also glad to see Namek had no parking garages. He seemed to be responsible for a record number of destruction of those structures for some reason.
Strangely enough, Zeke had yet to meet the future Guru that Batto was thinking of. It would have been nice to have someone else to talk of Batto's techniques with who had also recently learned them. However Zeke had no knowledge of the man and therefore would likely not meet him anytime soon.
(Unfortunately Banduk has been gone since July and has informed me that he will likely not be back.)
Zeke nodded at his experienced words. "I know, and you are absolutely right. This situation has a very good chance of not working out at all." he said. He was still going to try. If it was Akassa or Leke heading the operation, he may have a better chance at swaying their choice. Ninjin however... considering Zeke had intentionally tried to kill him once and humiliated him in front of the entire universe, it may be a tad more difficult. Granted Zeke was in a dark place at the time and wasn't using his dropping of the match to embarrass him, but to allow him to continue fighting. Zeke didn't know for sure what his thoughts were on that, and he had said very little after the fight when he met him face to face.
Avoiding the prince from there on likely was a bad move as well, but Zeke didn't feel like starting a fight that would of gotten him banished from Vegeta. Little did Zeke know that his assumptions on Ninjin's opinion on him were a little off.
Good, it hadn't been long. He would usually use his scouter to tell time, but he was having trouble converting it to Namek time. Zeke would like to learn the other technique as well, but he too was weighing time. He planned on simply returning after the confrontation with the War Party, but then would not have the technique at the time of need. That and he may not be coming back at all. If he was going to learn it, now was the best time.
"The restraint ring could end up being the ace up my sleeve I need in that situation. I would need to wear down anyone attempting the genocide, or simply our leaders, and restrain them. Then take head of the forces myself and eliminate the appropriate individuals." he explained. "I may even be able to contain individuals of the Church and gain information from them." he told Batto. Without the technique, Zeke would have needed to wear his opponents down further to eliminate retaliation and restrain them with something he could make with his Transmutation. That however was not as quick or effective as the Ki Ring.
There was also Zeke's problem with killing people. Wearing people down until they can not fight back was not easy for him. Usually things went too far and those people died. As far as the members of the Church, that was not a big issue other than loosing potential info. But if Zeke accidentally killed his own people or even civilians who may attack him... that could end badly.
"I would say the resourcefulness of the technique outweighs the time. Without it, there is a higher chance of the wrong people dieing and more time being spent in battle that I will need to effectively defuse the situation." he explained. "I feel I'm asking alot of you to teach so much in such a short time. But would you teach it to me now?" he asked. He didn't want to wear the man out or seem too quick to learn everything, but he felt he needed this knowledge.
