(Oh yes, I am well aware, just figured I should mention him IC since he did exist.)
It made sense that Zeke wanted to learn Batto’s second technique, for it had many uses in a combat scenario, yet it confused the Master how much time the Saiyan was willing to spend here. Sure he had learned the healing technique in the better part of a day, but they could be up through the rest of the day and more learning the next. When he had arrived Zeke had spoken much of the urgency required in his mission to learn from the Namekian people and return home. Perhaps his desire to learn more was crowding his better judgment of maybe he was more exhausted than he realized. Either way Batto would make him a proposal.
”I have no problem teaching you my other technique, for you seem an honest man. However, I believe that your desire to learn the technique for its uses might be causing you to overlook the time you have already spent here. So far it has been the better part of a day in Earth time, or Moon time as you might have it, and those you seek to stop are not those that stay their hand for long. That said I do not know for a certainty how much time you have so I ask you to consider this. Take one hour to think it over. Let the gravity of your decision to stay settle on you before committing one way or another. If you decide to stay and learn more that hour will not be a huge risk, but if you decide to go the time saved might be the difference that matters.”
Smiling sincerely at the warrior Batto remains seated as he speaks. His proposal was not meant to dissuade the man from coming back directly, but only so that he might take a short time to think about his choice. Timing was everything in this Universe so it was no small choice to be made if he should linger or depart now. Should Zeke return to him in an hour the master was prepared to teach him his other technique, although that would require time. His deepest fear was that the time spent learning the ability to restrain those Zeke wished to stop was enough time was more than he had. What a shame it would be if they prepared to bring lives as millions, possibly billions were extinguished in the process. Ultimately, the decision was Zeke’s.
