“Frigid, you of all people should not be sitting on the sidelines. You are forced to watch as your friend fights for his life while his opponent’s-”
Frigid, fight. Frigid, don't. Frigid... The Icer was at a loss as his hands covered his ears, unbeknownst to him, his power level beginning to increase. First the tournament, then Zex's invitation; the spaceship and leaving the Collective, then crash landing on the desert-planet; Zero's malfunction, Sebastian... Sebastian... Closing his eyes, he replayed the meeting with the man in his head.
Promises of trust, lies, lies and lies. Frigid had been shielded from such deception, living his life only on the Collective; and mere days after leaving, he'd been subjected to so much, everything he'd ever known rewritten. Frigid was having a breakdown.
His legs curled against his chest, everything lost to him. Levitating in a tight ball, his power increasing by the second, golden ki wrapping itself around him in a spherical cocoon. He wasn't ready for this. He wasn't strong enough to play on these people's level. What had made him choose to come to such a hell-hole in the first place.
Replaying each of his tournament rounds in his head; Kurosanai, Snow, Banduk, then Conri, each more powerful than the next. It was then when realization hit him. He'd bested Kurosanai, and Banduk. He'd fought evenly with Conri; even though he'd lost in the end. If there was anyone in the cavern who could match these Church of One people, it was Frigid.
The golden ki exploded harmlessly outwards as Frigid emerged, his frame and muscle mass tripled. Towering above the rest in the cavern, his power only increasing once more at the weights in his clothing were torn to shreds from his transformation. He was powerful; he was a brute. And he was gonna kick some ass.
Snarling at the man known as Arpatiko, Frigid stepped forwards, pointing a finger at him, ”You and me; Right now.” He wasn't just ready to fight; he was ready to prove himself once and for all.
Looking over his shoulder at the others, tail smacking hard against the ground with anticipation, he grinned, a much more monstrous grin than he'd ever had before. Eye's crazy with anger, with excitement, he spoke, tone much darker than before, ”If I were you, I would step back.”
Reaching the max of 140,775 Frigid's power was higher than ever; and he could feel it. It was obvious that the training he'd done had paid off. And even though it not as impressive as Sebastian's, or Conri's, it was no less awesome. Turning back to face Apatiko, Frigid readied himself; ready to let the Brute take control; ready to shed blood and rip this man apart.

Much had happened in the time it took to deal with William of the Watson, Lieutenant Tycho thought to himself; or rather the being who believed itself to be the Kinigo warrior Lieutenant Tycho. Standing on the skimmer he had been piloting minutes ago, he assessed what he had missed during his brief absence, a task which proved difficult since Kinigo’s could not sense ki and his scouter had inexplicably malfunctioned, along with the rest of his advanced technological armaments.
Kurosanai of the Muzai was apparently charging up for another futile attack against the Grand Hunter. Tycho had seen his great leader fend off far greater threats. Speaking of which, the Icejin had tripled in size. Without being able to scan he could not sat by how much the armored hided creature’s power grew though it was quite obvious that it had. Then the remnants of the skimmer destroyed by the human’s fire, and the one beneath the Lieutenant’s feet, transformed into enormous spear like weapons.
Leaping as they took shape he landed not far off from Man. While their mode of transportation was used as fodder by the battle’s champions the Icejin participated in a stare down with the exulted Arpatiko. It was quite a tense situation but since nobody seemed to notice his reappearance, including his own commander, he said and did nothing. Unable to properly survey the situation, he did as he had been trained to do since birth; await orders.
The strange feelings which crept upon him, darkening the borders of his conscience, however did not cease. Coupled with an unnatural heaviness which plagued his body, especially around the wrists, ankles and waist, he could not shake the eeriness. Unbeknownst to him, William’s gladitorial weights had shape shifted into his gauntlets, greaves and belt; and, of course, he was majin. However to the being who believed himself to be Tycho, he and his devices had merely been tainted somehow during his skirmish with the boy.
~
Within the twisted mind of the psychotic majin, William Watson once again found himself in an all too familiar darkness. It was beyond words; opening your eyes yet still seeing absolute darkness. As if you never opened them all, blurring the line between the conscious and the unconscious. Sitting up he looked around for some glimmer of light but found none. He knew this hell all too well. At first it was a terrifying nightmare, set upon him whenever Zasham briefly gained control.
It was where the obsidian monstrosity had been created; the birth of madness. Now it was his cell, his prison, so that he too may suffer as the beast once had, so that he may feel the erosion of his sanity. But William understood it now. A strange thing, understanding madness; it makes one feel mad themselves. Watson stood and yelled into the great blackness which had swallowed him home.
“Release me!”
He cried, his voice echoing for an eternity before a voice, weakened from its metaphysical fray with the two inhabitants of its body, replied.
“Never…”
Reaching deep down he called upon the same power which had killed so many spectators at the Galactic Tournament, the strength to shatter minds and level buildings with a few words. He could never understand, nonetheless harness, the ability freely before but here he felt… At one with the chaos which comprised the being who absorbed him. Perhaps it was the key to fully comprehending his powers.
“I said, RELEASE ME!”
The last two words sent ki piggybacking the waves of sound which tore from his lips. Then the sound of glass cracking and finally, the impervious darkness shatters all around him, falling like hail at his feet. Surrounding him was a whole new challenge to face; William was not yet free.

Post by Kurosanai Muzai on May 25, 2014 12:23:47 GMT -5
The fire’s heat continued to grow and yet Kurosanai was left with only questions as to what was going on. The power, this kind of power, Kuro had never used anything like it before. The only place he had ever used such a thing was in dreams and now to suddenly be able to use it now only called for more questions. As far as he knew not a single Muzai had been able to use anything close to this, at least nothing since before Fujin had taken over the clan. So the question remained how he had come upon these powers. Unfortunately he would have to wait until after this battle in order to fully access this new power until then he had a big ass alien to deal with.
His speech was something he was not sure would work at all especially since Frigid and the android appeared only moments earlier. Kurosanai had felt that he and Frigid were close enough that he was going to be able to somehow stir a sense of camaraderie amongst his other fellow teammates that had departed from the Omega Collective on this strange mission into space. To the prodigy of the Muzai there was a deadly silence in the moments after he finished speaking the only sounds he could hear was his own heart beating as hard as it could and the flames swirling in his hands. The silence though was broken when the android stepped forward. He stated that he would stand beside the prodigy of the Muzai in an attempt to help their fellow teammate. Frankly it shocked him that the android would even volunteer to help since as far as Kurosanai knew machines were unfeeling and would only run the odds and act accordingly, this time he was pleasantly surprised that he was wrong. But he knew he would need the runner up in the Galactic Tournament otherwise he doubted that they would be able to take down Arpatiko. This was answered as the smaller Icejin stepped in front of Kurosanai and then with a bright light took his field on the battle field. When the light faded Kurosanai could feel the power hanging in the air as the smaller Icejin was now replaced with something much more monstrous. He towered over Kuro, muscles bulging from his frame and horns that threatened to reach the heights of the ceiling if unabated. The prodigy of the Muzai remembered back to his tournament fight with the man and how difficult it was to compete with such a form. If he had grown like Kuro had this fight was now tipping in the favor of the group and the thing that Kuro loved the most about this new form was the battle tension it brought with it.
The human could not help but smile at the sight of the allies stepping to his side. If they were able to buy Kurosanai a little more time to continue harnessing this newly found power then Arpatiko could be in some serious trouble. The problem the two fighters now faced was to distract him long enough to build up this power. A side effect he was going to have to deal with was the heat that the fire was starting to emit as his hands were already starting to heat up in a burning sensation. The flames were licking at his palms and his eyes studied the alien leader’s movements. When he reached behind his back he was preparing an attack that he was not sure what to expect.
“Buy me some time,” Kurosanai mumbled under his breath hoping that Frigid heard him. He would have to distract him for Kuro to be the difference maker. Then movement stole his eye’s attention for only a moment. The pilot of the skimmer that had tackled William Watson into the crevice now emerged from it and stood silently from a distance. The prodigy of the Muzai cursed under his breath at the sight. It meant that William Watson was more than likely dead and that this Universal Church of One had claimed another victim. The human did not like William Watson in the least bit but he did not deserve to die in the dark by himself. No person deserved that fate. With that in mind he would make sure that the dick that had been saddled with Conri and Kurosanai would receive proper commemoration at the end of this battle. First though they had to stand their ground against Arpatiko which was going to prove more difficult a task then Kuro desired. Until the fight could end the flames would continue to build in his hands.

The time for talk appeared to be over. The being known as “Frigid” had finally heeded Kurosani of the Muzai’s words, the android being won over as well. William of the Watson had been disposed of by Tycho, and he was just standing there waiting for orders. His headset was destroyed no doubt. Arpatiko’s hand closed around the handle of his glaive. Kurosani of the Muzai and Frigid of the unknown were giving him no choice.
In one smooth action the hunter drew the glaive and launched it at Kurosani. His shoulder cannon then turned and fired at the newly transformed Icer, two silvery-blue orbs that if they collided into the creature would cause paralysis in the limbs they hit. Arpatiko was still much stronger than either of the men.
“Tycho, subdue the android!” William of the Watson had been an unfortunate loss. Arpatiko still hoped he could finish this fight without killing anyone else, but if they continued with their struggle he would use whatever force was necessary in order to insure the survival of his people.
Once the blasts had been released by his shoulder cannon and his orders issued the hunter would release the long blue blade on his right arm. Though the Icer had just increased his bulk, Arpatiko was still nine and a half feet tall, and thick with muscle which was covered with technology. The hunter would rush towards the Icer, blasts firing from the cannon on his shoulder until he reached the man. His first shot would be to the solar plexus, then a follow up to the jaw, and then a spinning back kick to the center of mass to finish him off. Arpatiko’s power level was an impressive 180,000 with the added help of his battle suit. The choice that the planetary invaders had made would cost them dearly, but the hunter still hoped they would listen to reason and surrender.

To his surprise as the android turned and reached out to the icejin who had been so quiet during the exchange of words, Frigid was already in the process of transforming. Zero's hand falls beside him as they observe the drastic tranformation and the icejin grows tall with large horns protruding from his head, standing with a large and bulky chest and white armor. He resembled King Arctic very closely although the power level he was emitting was far from comparison; however, his increased strength meant they had a much bigger chance at actually defeating Arpatiko. On the other hand, Zero thought the icejin was getting ahead of himself. He had certainly grown in size and power, but he was not yet strong enough to face the Kinigo on his own. Zero couldn't do anything, but Kurosanai would be very useful in the battle.
Next, Arpatiko starts off by targeting the human with his glaive and launching a set of blue spheres from cannons installed on his shoulder. The android's eyes begin to resonate with the emerald jewel on his forehead; a surprisingly teal glow, his golden hair drift slightly although there was no breeze, his demeanor resembling a legendary figure yet unknown by the current generation of warriors. Regardless, the transition between his base and transformed state was ephemeral and the glow subsided almost immediately. In that instant, Zero's power-level spiked although nobody without a scouter could detect it and his appearance was exactly as it had been before. Unfortunately, he did not have the time to remove his heavy weights, thus his max power was cut in halve with a little over 29,000. He was no use to his teammates, but perhaps, he could help this way... the android thought, unclipping his pistol and leveling the barrel he released four bullets of highly compressed energy; one towards the glaive in hopes of redirecting its course and buying Kurosanai time, two more to the individual orbs heading towards the icejin, and another at the cannon on Arpatiko's shoulder.
The android had great experience with the pistol, with the aid of his mechanized features he could better measure the speed and distance of stagnant objects like the glaive and shoot -not where it is, but where it will be. Arpatiko, however, could easily avoid it with his superior speed and senses. Zero's power was much too limited to be of any use, but even at his power the strength of his energy bullets should have been strong enough to nudge the glaive and save Kurosanai from harm, create a reaction with the blue orbs sent towards Frigid and detonate, and perhaps disable Arpatiko's cannons if the bullet were to successfully strike. Then came Arpatiko's orders. “Tycho, subdue the android!” he said. Zero had known of Tycho's presence, he had simply ignored it until the moment. Because Zero could not sense energy but relied on the numbers dictated by his built-in scouter, he could not sense any abnormality in the Kinigo's energy. Mr. Watson was an unfortunate loss as he could no longer detect his power-level, but he seemed to have weakened the Kinigo considerably as Tycho.
From the moment the words left Arpatiko's mouth, Zero turned on his heels, unsheathed his saber, and slashed across to wound and disable the Kinigo. His goal was not to kill as they would serve for rich sources of information, but his strikes were indeed lethal-like and relentless. One of the many differences between mortals and Zero -or any android for that matter, was that androids did not waste time in games. Zero did not feel the urge to play with his victims, mock them, or try to prove himself through some act of strength. This was a dangerous and deadly struggle, his orders were to do everything in favor of the mission and these men stood in their way; therefore, Zero would take them down as fast as possible and extract all the information he could get from them. To do that, he would need his team alive for he could not face his opponents alone. There lies the root of his reasoning.
Soon after, the android pressed his hand against his chest in an effort to release himself from the burden of heavy weights. He could easily subdue his opponents without them; however, it seemed some of his inner mechanisms were still damaged from the Magnetic Wave that struck him upon entry to Belegost and failed to unlock the weights confided to him. The android would have to remove them manually, but that would take too much time, time he -in the present- did not possess.

Frigid was ready as Arpatiko launched his attack. Aiming the first move as Kurosanai, a throwing-star of some kind was whipped in the direction of the human. Obviously, Arpatiko was as full of shit as his friend Sebastian. Using the same swiftness as he had in throwing, he fired a couple of light-blue blasts from a cannon mounted on his shoulder. Snarling Frigid made his move as well.
Kuro was close, on Frigid's side. Raising a hand, he would fire a blast at the glaive, hoping to connect with it hard enough to derail it from it's target. With his left hand, Frigid would fire a barrage of his own golden ki at the blue spheres, hoping to detonate them, ”For someone so hell-bent on peace, you sure are quick to draw and fire!” Frigid hissed at the robotic-man. Such acts of hypocrisy annoyed the Icer.
”You asked for bloodshed; I will give it to you!” Frigid would rush the man, as he did the same, multiple blue-blasts firing in his direction. A golden blade of ki ripping out of either of his hands, he would slash the blasts, dividing each in two, sending them to explode as he passed them.
Arpatiko was on him in seconds, aiming a heavy metal-clad fist at the Icer's torso, his tail would shoot up, blocking the attack. His punch hurt, but would not nearly be as bad as if it hit Frigid's chest. Taking no time at all, he would shoot a fist for the Icer's chin. A sad mistake, the beard-like horn strong as the ones on top his head. Arching his head backwards he would meet the man's fist with his spike, hoping to tear his fist in half with his own force.
Regardless, the punch would send his body backwards, arcing himself away from the back-kick, his tail whipping around with the same golden blade as on his arms, aiming for the arm of the cannon on his shoulder, hoping to slice it right off. Frigid was the closest match to Arpatiko, his body also covered in a thick shell, torso clad with hardy Saiyan-armor, his power level far above his own comrades. He would defeat this man, and show him just how wrong he was to pick a fight with his people.

A near tangible pride overcame Lieutenant Tycho as he stood witness to the Kinigo leader sprung into action with a flurry of attacks. It was truly a spectacle to watch The Hunter at work; a rare sight indeed as there were essentially no threats to him on Belegost. No doubt sensing that words would not stop Conri of the Lane’s allies from attempting to interfere, Lord Arpatiko instantly shot one of his wrist mounted blades at Kurosanai of the Muzai. Flames burned betwixt his fingers slowly growing more intense with each passing moment; he was in no position to dodge less his fire turn to ash. Much like William of the Watson a minute ealier, The Hunter tried to quell the amassing attack in its infancy by forcing Kurosanai to either use it in his defense or lose it by dodging. There was a third option; however Tycho did not think the man so foolish as to test the impeccable aim of Belegost’s leader. Meanwhile the giant Kinigo’s shoulder cannon simultaneously took aim and immediately fired globular mixtures of blue and silver at the now far larger Icejin. A testament to the Kinigo’s advanced weaponry; the loose orbs would temporarily paralyze any limb upon impact. Almost immediately the android, standing some yards away from the Kinigo warrior, drew a pistol and proceeded to fire off four rounds in an attempt to aid his allies. Futile, Tycho remarked seeing as a charged beam from the recently deceased human could not even detonate the static laced blasts and from what the Lieutenant recalled, from before his suit malfunctioned, the two had been near identical in strength. “Tycho, subdue the android!”
The loyal lieutenant responded without hesitation readying both wrist mounted blades. Glad they still worked he was unaware that it was Zasham’s body weaponization which was to credit. A mechanical mind works fast and Zero immediately turned to assail the Kinigo with a slash of his beam sword. Tycho had been smart in landing some feet away from the android, giving him time to react. Stepping back, out of the blade’s arc, he dug his heel into the dirt; determined to do as his Lord commanded.
While at a disadvantage without his armaments functioning properly, Tycho was still a deadly foe. Kinigo soldiers were trained from an early age and must earn their place before ever receiving the advance technology. And everyone was specially trained to combat androids. As Man placed his unused to his chest for reasons unknown to the warrior, he used all his full power to shoot in after the initial slash had passed. Closing the gap with the smaller combatant his intent was to bury one blade into the forearm of the equipped hand, using it to control the motion and angle the energy sword away from him.
Meanwhile the other was primed to enter the equivalent of just under its ribcage. Arpatiko did not want anyone dead if it could be helped, but Tycho knew such attacks would not be fatal to an android as it would to a biological being. From Man’s shots and attack, he estimated they were nearly dead even strength wise; Kinigo’s relished a good fight.
~
While William Watson found himself temporarily free from the origins of Zasham’s madness yet no closer to regaining control. When the Majin’s insanity shattered, it opened up to much stronger realm within their mind; Tycho’s world. He began to walk and the world morphed around him, it was as if with each few feet he stepped into a new memory. All of the Kinigo’s memories existing at once caused the chaos within the internal realm.
Stepping from one ‘bubble’ to the next he found himself in an arid wasteland; Belegost’s surface. There he saw Tycho, free of any equipment, wedged beneath a rock formation as a dangerous sand storm raged. It was one of the trials necessary to earn his place amongst the people. Bringing his hand to eye level he watched the vicious sand whip right through the flesh and felt not even the slightest breeze. As if he was not even there. Pressing on he slipped through the vision’s membrane, emerging in yet another vivid memory.
Zasham still had no idea how to control himself or his powers, this was apparent to the boy. Though he could hardly blame the demon; he knew little of what this body was capable. Every time he absorbed someone there was a battle for dominance as he could not subjugate and assimilate the raw data. Instead each personality coalesced and manifested within as a separate entity within the singular form. “Talk about identity crisis,” Willie thought to himself as he investigated the new area.
It was all too familiar yet inherently different. It was Belegost’s spaceport that much was clear as the barrier dome and surrounding wastelands were easy to place. Watson guessed it must have been some time ago as several buildings were different from what he had seen only an hour ago. All of the Church’s freighter ships were also absent. In front of him was the Lieutenant as a child staring right through William with wide eyes. Turning in place to follow the youthful eyes he found Arpatiko standing defiantly before a being engulfed in light.
He heard through the child Tycho’s ears, as he was the memory’s center, muffled demands and murmurs of rejection. Then the being of light’s patience wore thin and it held up a hand, a motion which sent Arpatiko hurtling back and straight through Willie; a strange feeling indeed. The Hunter’s loyal soldiers immediately leapt to his aid but others appeared around the being, masked by his light. The others, their silhouettes revealing a variance of shapes and sizes, made short work of Belegost’s warriors.
Enraged by the attack on his men Arpatiko surged forth, taking on several of these figures at once while the being watched silently. When he began to gain the upper hand, whether out of skill or desperation, the others chose a sinister tactic. One took aim at the little Tycho and let loose a beam of energy. Dropping down and hugging his legs the small Kinigo tightly squeezed his eyes shut; but death did not come.
Opening his eyes he found his Lord knelt before him, steam rising from the back of his armor where the attack struck. Silently Arpatiko looked at Tycho through his mask and gave a slight nod to let the boy know he was alright, as Kinigo’s more often used subtle gestures than words to communicate. Turning and standing, The Hunter threw his arms at his side, beckoning two glowing blue blades out of his gauntlets. Then the being of light lifted a hand once more, this time bringing down an entire building seemingly out of sheer force of will. Lifting and dropping a hand in the other direction leveled yet another structure.
Then it looked straight at Arpatiko, who had frozen. He was not so out of fear, but rather because he looked from one debris heap to the next, as if mentally adding up the number of his people who were just killed with the rise and fall of a single hand. Impatient, it once more lifted its arm, but the Lord of Belegost immediately roared for it to stop. Taking one last look at the child, and all the others who looked on, he reminded himself why. Returning the blades back to their chambers he took several steps forward before once more looking out to the demolished buildings and his unconscious, or dead, troops.
Then pride gave way under the weight of his responsibility to his people; he fell to a knee and bowed before the being of light.

Post by Kurosanai Muzai on Jun 3, 2014 22:50:04 GMT -5
The giant alien did not wait long as the two sides prepared for the final clash. With a quick command he instructed his right hand man to take care of the android after which he threw what looked like a glaive from his back. The mechanism flew through the air with a deadly slicing motion as his shoulder cannon fired several shots. The glaive was directed at Kurosanai and if unimpeded would cleave through the prodigy of the Muzai. Kuro could not see behind him, specifically where the android was but he could hear his gun go off. Several shots zoomed through the air towards the shots and the fate of them would have to be determined at a later point in time as the only thing that mattered was the shot that was fired at the glaive. Kurosanai’s hopes rose for a brief moment before he watched the energy shot get cut in two. Before his hopes could be eternally dashed a blast ripped from Frigid’s hand instead of smashing directly into the glaive it appeared as if the blast was slightly off target and instead sailed slightly underneath the center of it. One of the blades caught the edge of the blast and caused it to explode sending the glaive pin wheeling in the air off in a direction that was thankfully nowhere near the prodigy of the Muzai. He figured that it was probably not destroyed by the blast so it was still able to be used if someone happened to find the thing but in the meantime he would not have to deal with it.
Frigid after that fired several blasts as well at the shoulder canon blasts. Which won would be an interesting sight to see but the now massive Icejin charged into battle with a sense of battle frenzied happiness to him. It was somewhat terrifying as Kurosanai thought about it. But he would be more than met in battle as the alien charged in return with a large arm blade extended. The alien was more than a match for Frigid in size as he towered over Kurosanai when he stood next to him. The two at least appeared evenly matched to the Muzai’s eye. Frigid was going to do what he had to do while the android would avenge the idiot William Watson against the right hand man of Arpatiko. With everyone doing their own parts Kuro could not afford to mess up on his own part.
He remembered back to a day in his childhood when he saw the light of a forest fire off in the distance. It was a night that all the men in the Muzai clan left in an effort to ban together with the local farmers in an attempt to curtail the fire. It was on that night that Kurosanai wondered what the power of fire could really do. It would not be until several weeks later that both himself and Mozoku were able to sneak away in an effort to see what had in fact happened. He remembered coming upon the scorched earth with darkened trees hanging in the air. The air still stunk of the smoke and the animals had yet to return to the land. It was in that moment that he had grown a sense of respect for the destructive power for fire. With that respect in mind he knew of the power that continued to grow in his hands, the one that continued to singe the bandages that adorned his palms. He knew his moment would come in which he would be able to use this attack but in the meantime he would have to hope that Frigid kept Arpatiko busy for a little longer.

Frigid was fast but not as fast as the leader of the Kinigos was. His eyes snapped over to see his glaive get blown out of the way by the Icejin’s blast. It was a shame but it would not be of much consequence as it was only an initial attack. With Tycho handling the android it would be up to Arpatiko to remove the human and the icejin from the battle field. His experience would make this a simple fight. One thing though that he had not be anticipating was the energy sword attack that sliced through all of the canon blasts. The leader would then close the distance and attempt to finish this fight in close combat. The creature’s tail shot upward and blocked the first attack but he would use this opportunity to throw a hard fist in at the head. He was surprised however when the icejin spiked downwards with his head stabbing the hand of the leader with his beard spike. When he pulled backwards he managed to dodge an energy bladed tail whip that shot upwards. The leader jumped backwards several steps before landing.
His head casually glanced to the side to access the damage. Despite dodging the majority of the attack aimed at his canon Arpatiko’s shoulder armor had been sliced casually. It was more ascetic damage than anything critical. The canon was intact and as such he would be able to continue. It was when he glanced back that he saw that the human’s flames continued to grow to a size that was unacceptable. Arpatiko leapt backwards several more steps as he leveled his canon down at the human and fired three shots at him. The flames had to be stopped right now, the icejin could wait, this was far too important.
“That is enough. Stop with your foolish actions.”

The android stepped back in response to the Kinigo's initial strike. He lunged forward with his blade coming straight at him, but Zero backed away. Right after the first, a second lunge from the warrior's other blade in an attempt to purge Zero's stomach, but Zero deflected the attack with the swipe of his own blade. Ching! The edges sparked. Zero's hand jerks back from the clash, forced by gravity and momentum before he could regain control and slash his energy blade for another strike. It was likely the Kinigo would intercept his attack just as he had done. Both had similar strengths although one was considerably larger than the other, they were also mechanized beings aided by their cilization's advancement in technology. The two would perhaps exchange thrusts a number of times before changing the pace. The android recalled King Arctic's words from one of his personal training sessions. Zero had grown exponentially in strength, he had acquired new deadly weapons and techniques; however, skill was someone which could not be programmed into a computer. No one had taught him the proper art of battle until the King accepted Ivan's request and grinded his knowledge into the android. He sucked it up like a sponge.
Promptly after being propelled across the room like a ragdoll, the android rest the soles of his feet on the wall and catapulted back at the Icejin with his blade arched and ready to pierce the thick hide. He missed, of course, "...Charging head first into an opponent that is stronger than you is going to get you quickly killed. Watch how your opponent fights and wait for an opening. Once you see it strike and always go for the kill. No need to make a fight last longer if it doesn’t have to.”
Really, Zero was cautious enough, but that trait is dwindled by his ability to read power-levels. Opponent is weaker? Fight all out, according to statistics, you'll win. Opponent is even? Fight cautiously, 50% chance of defeating him. Opponent is stronger? Fight all out, they'll kill you anyway, there's nothing to lose. However, Arctic's words implied his scouter was blind to a certain aspect of battle which could not be calculated with numbers and graphs: Skill. Therefore, instead of fighting without remorse, the android would hold back the winds of war and analyze them instead. At a glance, the best method to fight was perhaps long-distance, he thought. The Kinigo's were tall and heavily built warriors gilded in armor and weapons. This particular Kinigo had a defective shoulder cannon, thanks to Mr. Watson, leading him to believe he could no longer produce long-range attacks. If Zero could keep his distance and fight with his pistol and all the hidden mechanisms installed in his small and lithe body, he could increase the chances of winning.
Fending off any bladed strikes coming his way, the android stepped back in the defensive little by little reaching the edge of the tunnel floor. He would leave his teammates with Arpatiko and deal with Tycho elsewhere, then return. It was already proven that the android could not help them in any way because his power was so limited compared to theirs. Stepping over the edge of the tunnel floor, he waited for a second thrust of the Kinigo's blade before leaning back and out of reach. Moments later, the android would be running down the cavern wall's vertical slope. The tunnel was too small for his plan of action. In the city he would have much more space; not to mention, the Kinigo would restrain his attacks in order to ensure life and structure remains intact.

Though Frigid's attacks were strong and fast, they caused nothing but cosmetic damage to the heavily armored alien. Cursing under his breath, Frigid watched the alien jump back, and level his cannon at Kurosanai once again. This was beginning to annoy the Brute. Blades still crackling with static ki at his sides, Frigid sidestepped in front of his comrade, just in time to slice the three blasts Arpatiko had fired.
Again, the blasts would fizzle harmlessly behind the pair. "Your fight is with me!" Frigid roared, ki flaring all around him. The alien was fighting for his life, Frigid understood that, but in his Brutish frenzy, he couldn't comprehend exactly why he was being so obviously ignored, "You want him, you'll have to kill me first! Do you understand that?"
His blades slowly frizzled out, a sphere forming in his right hand. A hell grenade made to stick to any surface it landed on, exploding shortly afterwards. Lobbing it hard at Arpatiko, Frigid would aim the attack for his torso, hoping that if he tried to dodge, the attack might still hit a limb.
Keeping his place in front of Kurosanai, he would do his best to guard his friend. Knowing Kuro was charging an attack, it was important to protect him in such a vulnerable state. Then there was the fact that someone would have to hold Arpatiko in one spot, it the attack was to be successful. This was a job no one would want, Frigid included, so he hoped there might be an other way to glue him down.

[DOUBLE POST: DO NOT COUNT TOWARDS GRADE] Their even matched power was evident when the android parried his blow, as Tycho did in return. This happened several times in fact, each strike meeting its match. Deciding to use his size to his advantage, the Kinigo pushed forward as he struck. Stepping backwards, they continued their tradeoff as the robot backed to the edge. Swinging for the ending blow, as he did with every practiced strike, the Lieutenant was dismayed by the machine’s voluntary fall as his blade swooped dangerously overhead. Stepping to the edge without hesitation, the warrior peered down as Man began his descent. The Kinigo was not quite sure of his intent, knowing that androids did not simply flee, especially when there was nowhere to run. Either way his orders were clear and Tycho quickly followed suit digging his massive heels into the cavern walls as he propelled himself onward. Regardless of its plans, his heading was the city and the Lieutenant had an obligation to his people. At the bottom of the tunnel there was more empty cavern space however the city was not far away; one could see it’s light upon against exiting the vertical drop some ways ahead. Having a start, and an even speed, the warrior found it difficult to get close enough to the android to attack. He cursed his equipment for malfunctioning, knowing he could attack if only his cannon was operational. Thinking of the civilians in the city not far beyond made him angry; the Church’s androids had already done so much to his people. It had left a sour taste in all Kinigo mouths for robots. As if reacting to his emotion and need, the cannon came alive, lights illuminating an abnormal red. His suit came alive, and the HUD appeared within his bio-mask. It displayed his wellbeing, distances, everything and anything within its routine, as well as reacting to his thoughts. However, the scouting, communication, and alternate vision systems were still down. The mark on the screen displaying the shoulder cannon’s aim was a welcomed sight. Without a second thought Tycho began firing perfectly circular crimson beams from the weapon; as they rained down upon the android they would to it appear as orbs. While he fired one directly at his target, he shot several beams to its left or right in case it tempted to dodge, following it movements with each discharge. Then he turned the beam on the distance of rock both ahead of the robot and between it and him. The resulting explosions would create a plummeting field of jagged debris, consisting from stone to massive boulders several times the size of either being. Leaping to the first the Kinigo warrior would then shoot itself off from one huge rock to another, always with an eye on his prey as the cannon would fire off whenever even a momentary opening presented itself. Deathly intent on following the Great Hunter’s orders, and preserving the safety of his kind, drove him onward with animal like speed and agility. Unknown to Lt. Tycho, and even William until just before the mission, the being which had assimilated both creatures while remaining unseen, the abomination Zasham, was a special Majin. He was a technarcana; a twisted combination of magic and science. A magical marvel of technology; all the personalities of the body were only beginning to comprehend the abilities this afforded. One was the absorption and subsequent assimilation of technology. While it had taken a little time, the Majin’s body was able to precisely replicate the advance machinery; though it was limited in this regard to some degrees. ~ Walking from one memory ‘bubble’ to another had basically given William a crash course on the current handler of his body. It was a hard life but it was filled with honor and duty. Moving like a specter from one realm to another he could not help but feel sad for the warrior who had attacked him; instigating this whole debacle. Watching firsthand the moments which defined Tycho’ life, and the subjugation of his proud people by the malicious Church, made Willie empathize with his assailant. An overwhelming feeling overcame the boy as the memories suddenly vanished into nothing. An intense clarity followed, and looking forward the boy saw through the eyes of his captor. They took the form of large portals through which there was no passage. Behind him the human heard a footstep, swinging on his heel he came face to face with none other than the Lieutenant himself; or rather a mental aspect of him. “You’re invasion into my mind is an unforgivable act William of the Watson.”The near mute spoke coldly in his own delusion. How could Willie explain that Tycho was the intruder? He could not, he reasoned. Having been through the assimilation himself Watson understood that the Kinigo believed himself to be the sole possessor of the mind and body; as if was still simply himself. It was hard truth to expect that who you were was gone, absorbed, broken down, and analyzed on a subatomic level. Your entire being transformed into information, any piece which the body could summon at a moment’s notice; if the one in control could access this ability, or even knew it existed. Then two horrifyingly shaped, and sharp, blades protruded from his gauntlets in a dual terrifying motion. William instinctively jumped a bit at the sound of their sudden arrival to the scene, reflexively muttering in reaction. “Oh fuck me.”A lifetime of being admonished for cursing by his parents caused him to instinctively tighten his lips and clench his jaw, “if only I was just going to be yelled at for swearing,” he thought. (OOC: Man and "Tycho's" fight is moving to its own separate thread.) New thread - dragonballawakening.proboards.com/thread/1025/descent-chaos-saga

Post by Kurosanai Muzai on Jun 24, 2014 2:11:20 GMT -5
The pitched combat was something that Kurosanai was not comfortable just sitting back and watching one bit. He should have been in there fighting right alongside the icejin that he called his friend. Sure they had never actually spent time together outside of their tournament fight but it was a bond that had been born in that combat that made him trust the very creature that fought for the prodigy of the Muzai. It was not something that he was used to, he was the one that was supposed to be the person protecting others. His mother and father had set that into his mind after his Aoiro had awaken. It was his job to continue protecting all those weaker than him and all those he loved. To stand idly by while his comrades continued to fight around him it left him becoming more jittery with each and every passing second. All he could do was wait as the fire continued to grow in his hand now. The heat was almost to an unbearable level now. The flames no longer just licked at his palms occasionally, the fire was now starting to scorch the bandages to the point that he could smell the burning fabric. Small chunks of blackened bandages began to float high into the air off in the distance.
Frigid and the leader of the Kinigos danced back and forth. The android and the Kinigo right hand fighter disappeared into the darkness. Conri and the strange man named Sebastian clashed off in the distance causing eruptions of small power pockets. Kurosanai was left standing there was his hands full of flames, doing nothing. It was the most frustrating thing in the universe to stand helplessly there. Frigid would only have to hold on for just a few more moments and Kurosanai would be able to end this fight in a single strike. The fire could possibly even fill this entire room in its wrath if Kuro was not careful. Things would have to go exactly as planned otherwise everything would be for naught. This fight had to end soon in order for him to help Conri perhaps then they could find that damned missing crew.
"Come on Frigid...you have this handled. All you need to do is hold a little longer," Kuro mumbled under his breath as his eyes darted about. The way the brute moved in combat could be a very big problem. If he was in the way of the blast he could possibly just as hurt by it as the leader of the Kinigos. He would have to figure out a way to tell him to get out of the way at the right moment otherwise Arpatiko would just move as well. Caution was being thrown to the wind and Kurosanai hated every single moment of it.

“My fight is with you, but you will allow Kurosanai of the Muzai to unleash his attack on me though? If you are my opponent then he should not interfere.” Eyeing the Icejin for a moment Arpatiko hesitates, weighing his options. It was obvious that Kurosanai was still gathering energy, the human’s power having reached quite an impressive level by this point. Even with his maximum strength the Kinigo’s could not handle the blast full on, but he did not plan to. Frigid was still blocking his path and that was just fine, Arpatiko was going to use that to his advantage. Taking another moment to look the brutish Icejin, noting the position of his two blades and wanting to be mindful of the potentially deadly weapons. At the same moment Arpatiko chose to move Frigid let his blades dissipate, a sphere of Ki forming in his hand instead. Already moving forward the Kinigo did not have the time to alter his path to avoid the attack, but nor did he need to. The cannon on his shoulder pivots, firing several blasts in the Icejin's direction. The first of the blast hits the glowing sphere head on, the result a small detonation as the two techniques cancel themselves out. The several small blasts that follow his first all soar towards Frigid. He expected his foe to dodge or summon those blades once again to deal with the attacks, but that was just fine. With the shots hoping drawing some of the Icejin's attention Arpatiko bursts forth from the remnants of the explosion. His initial path look to be a direct line for the other, however; as he drew close his image fades as he utilizes his Zenzoken. Confident he was quicker than his foe he uses the technique to move behind him, arms reaching to wrap up his opponents. Looking at the very least get a hold of the Icejin's arms, perhaps even get him in a full grapple, Arpatiko hoped to tie Frigid up. The intent was not to harm him, but to prevent harm from coming to either of them. If successful in grabbing him the Kinigo would attempt to turn so they were facing the human. “Do not release your attack. If you unleash those flames towards me they will consume your friend as well. I will give you both a chance to surrender and I promise once Sebastian is done with Conri of the Lane neither of you will be harmed.” Of course Arpatiko could not completely guarantee that, but if he knew Sebastian as he thought he did then the human would not kill the non-saiyans. If only they had not come here with their Saiyan companion, all of this fighting could have been avoided. Arpatiko did not wish to kill them, but it was what he needed to do in order to protect his people than he would. (Fixed my horribly written past, sorry about that. It seems I was a little more tired than I had thought. )

His grenade was ultimately rendered useless as the mech-man fired his own blasts from his cannon. The first connected with the grenade, and exploded. A curse left Frigid's mouth as the man charged, a few more blasts fired. The ki from the cannon was nothing, Frigid simply firing his own blasts to negate them, however, as the man neared him, that was when he ran into trouble.
Nearly face-to-face, the mecha-clad man vanished. Had Frigid the ability to sense ki, he might have avoided the next move, but he hadn't. Thick robotic arms wrapped themselves around Frigid's own, pinning them hard against his body. A snarl on his face formed and the man shouted to Kurosanai, suggesting he stop his attack whipping around to face him.
Frigid's eyes met Kurosanai's, reflecting his feelings: "You better not listen to him." After a brief second Frigid would begin to formulate a plan, eyes darting about. By this time, Arpatiko's attention should be on Kurosanai, not all, but just enough to get by.
Frigid's tail slowly rose, slithering silently up towards the Klingo's neck. Nearing it, it would strike like a snake, wrapping and constricting hard around it, prying backwards to pull the man away. If successful, a small ord would form in Frigid's hand, shooting downwards at Arpatiko's feet. If it connected it would glue him to the ground. At the same time, Frigid would propel himself forwards, allowing Kurosanai to get a clear shot. If it didn't work the way he planned, Frigid's tail would tighten until it could tighten no more.
